Uh So find me, excuse me, find me some on

Somino again, you can find him all over the internet

(01:18):

Speaker 1 (01:20):

Speaker 2 (01:21):
Cool Jac Money at I am JC Money on threads.
Speaker 1 (01:23):
There you go. Yeah, perfect, love it. I love how
you been, buddy.
Speaker 4 (01:27):
I have been, man, it has been a wild I've
realized we haven't congregated on the podcast since I think
February or March, but it's been a it's.
Speaker 1 (01:37):
Been a whirlwind time. I am in.
Speaker 4 (01:39):
I am currently in the middle of a two week
off from the shoot job from the nine to five.
I highly like anybody that has that equity built up
if you're able to put two weeks together and and
take off, like, holy hell, what a phenomenal like mental
(02:05):
break it has been to just get away from the
nine to five two consecutive weeks and just take care
of things that have been kind of adding up. Opposite that,
you know, work picked up for me and and I
just I hadn't had a moment to rest until really
(02:25):
just about a week or so ago when my time
off began. And it's it's just been. It's been cool.
It's been awesomead to hear that, man, you doing a lot.
Speaker 2 (02:33):
How have you been well, I was gonna say, I know,
we chat a lot you, myself and Chris and I
or trust the trust the podcast, text message chain, trust
the text message. So I feel like we are we
are always kind of close to being on the same page,
but there's a difference between like texting and actually like
physically seeing each other and talking to each other. So
I feel like I haven't I feel like I haven't
(02:55):
seen you in many moons, which I mean again, the
last game what you have about was the last we
talked about. What's the Buffalo Bills losing to the Kansas
City Chiefs and the playoffs, So I was running back through,
like what has happened since the last time we talked.
Speaker 4 (03:07):
Goodness, I wish I could say that I know this.
Speaker 2 (03:12):
I want to report to everybody that I was in
obviously in where was I was in Manhattan, Kansas for
the Bills in Chiefs game when the Bills lost. I
remember that I believe I may have sprained my knee
while watching the game because when the fourth down play happened,
I like just squatted really fast instead of like dropping
(03:34):
to the floor and anger, and my knee popped and
it was really bad for a few weeks because I'm
a complete idiot. But but I did get revenge on
Kansas City John. I went back to I went back
to Kansas a few weeks later, went to Lenexa, Kansas
for the for the shoot job.
Speaker 1 (03:51):
And the night.
Speaker 2 (03:53):
Before I went home, my two coworkers went out and
saw a movie together, real cute, real adorable stuff, and
I said, I'm just gonna go do my thing. Drove around,
ended up at the Arrowhead Complex. Really saw the Royal
Stadium and the an Arrowhead Stadium. It's a massive struggle
beautiful and I also did pay homage to the chiefs
(04:15):
with big fat ole middle finger a couple of times.
Speaker 1 (04:21):
Good. It felt real good.
Speaker 2 (04:22):
Doesn't take away the pain of all the losses, but
it felt real good. And then if you are ever
in the greater Kansas City area, Kansas City, Kansas, Joe's Barbecue,
I'll tell you what. I stopped at this gas station,
which is like it's a it's a big it's a
big deal, but it's a gas station barbecue joint. Whole brother,
best barbecue ever had in my life. Really, so much
(04:46):
so that I will buy the barbecue sauce off the
internet and have it delivered to my house. It's that good.
Speaker 4 (04:50):
Really, Okay, all right, you'll have to you have to
send me a link to that because.
Speaker 1 (04:54):
I'll send you some I'll send you some photos of.
Speaker 4 (04:56):
I'm always we we just did we did ribs yesterday
and it was phenomenal, fantastic, was very very happy with it.
So I love, like I'm all about like trying out
the different barbecue sauces from all around.
Speaker 2 (05:08):
Well, and this is not to be not to be
all guy guy Fieri here, but you know, or man
versus food. But I'll tell you what I love the
fact I love barbecue sauce first off, just like straight up,
I'm that's my thing because like Ketchup, I really can't
have it because doctor stuff Apparently the fermentation they the
(05:29):
catch up, but then the fermentation triggers a mold allergy,
which I have.
Speaker 4 (05:33):
So they're like, I mean, yeah, all of that was
protected by f M l A.
Speaker 1 (05:37):
You could have just you know.
Speaker 2 (05:38):
I was Ketchup tastes like shit anyways. So but different
barbecue sauce is where it's like, well, the one in
Kansas City. The reason it tastes so good, I believe
is because it's like a molasses based, but then there's
other ones that are like sugar based or other, like
there's like a base note in it. In the Kansas
City one is like again a molasses based.
Speaker 1 (05:58):
I believe do.
Speaker 4 (05:59):
They have multiple barbecue sauces there or is it just
I'd have to double check. I'd have to double check.
I think they've got a bunch.
Speaker 1 (06:06):
I mean it was look at.
Speaker 2 (06:07):
I went in, bought a T shirt, bought food.
Speaker 1 (06:10):
I knew it was going to be good. I had.
Speaker 2 (06:12):
I had heard a lot about it, and I was like,
look it by myself. I cranked up the radio in
my rental car because you know, nothing like, uh, this
is the this is the adult conversation I have with myself. Hey,
got to be at the airport at three am because
I'd want to get home before you know, ten pm
the next day. Sure, sure, do I want to uber
(06:33):
or lift at? I would probably lift Do you want
to lift? At three am? To the airport for thirty
five minutes? You're just rent a car and drive. And
it was like fifteen dollars more to rent a car
and drive. So I got my money's worth, and like
I said, drove around Kansas City proper Yeah.
Speaker 4 (06:45):
That's the way to do it, man, that's the way
to do it. Like when I was in Baltimore, I
passed by Camden Yards, the complex that they have there
for the Orioles and the Ravens, respectively. I didn't I
didn't need have them the one finger salute, you know
what I mean. But it was pretty cool to be
able to see that. And you're right, that was kind
of did. The choice that I had was I could
have you know, taken Lyft anywhere or uber anywhere, or
(07:08):
paid the extra little bit of money. It was a
little more than fifteen dollars a week. I just said,
I said, screw it, I'm renting a Camaro. And I
rented a Camaro. And it was pretty cool. But I
always knew you were that.
Speaker 1 (07:20):
I always knew you were an old white man.
Speaker 4 (07:23):
Well now I don't know that I'm an old white No,
old white men. They're they're more like, uh, well, I guess.
Speaker 2 (07:29):
Cheating on their wives at a Coldplay concert.
Speaker 1 (07:31):
Yeah, yea, I know. No shooting right there.
Speaker 4 (07:34):
No, and I and and I won't be doing that
because I'm not I'm not that kind of guy.
Speaker 1 (07:38):
But I will tell you it's.
Speaker 4 (07:40):
That cold Play no, I'm not a cold Play man.
Speaker 1 (07:43):
I'm giving I'm.
Speaker 2 (07:45):
Not that kind of guy. You won't listen. You won't
catch me listening to cold Play.
Speaker 1 (07:49):
I won't be listening to cold Play, you little sissy.
Speaker 2 (07:52):
You look at Look at we're we've been We've been
off the air since literally since February. But hey, look
at because because again, remember the game happened. We took
a few weeks off because of work and also just
like overall, just being really annoyed with the season.
Speaker 1 (08:05):
Ending the exact same way. I still have I I tune.
Speaker 4 (08:09):
It is so unbeknownst to I think a lot of people,
probably because I don't really promote it, but I do
have for the JC Money Show, there is a subscription
tier through gear Network's host site Speaker that that that I,
you know, three dollars a month. Anybody that wants to
(08:31):
pay it. Nobody really does, but because I don't advertise
it very much, but I've been using that to put
exclusive content on for eventually when I start promoting it
and everybody start and people start buying it. Like so,
I've I've practiced, I've had my practice, but nobody just
no one's heard it. That's which is which is, which
is great. So I'm comfortable in my podcast voice. I
(08:53):
feel like I'm podcast voice ready. I just I haven't
been following a whole lot of anything because man, the
world's right now.
Speaker 2 (09:00):
Friendly reminder for you coming in via text. Trust the
text message. There's your there's your photographical evidence of my perot.
Speaker 1 (09:07):
Yes, there it is. Look at that.
Speaker 4 (09:10):
Uh there, and there's the the meddal finger right there.
Speaker 1 (09:14):
Oh yeah. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (09:15):
My youngest yesterday hot Field decided to walk, which was wild.
She just literally was like, Hey, I'm gonna start walking now.
So that's pretty cool.
Speaker 1 (09:22):
All right, walking stage? Yeah, that's hey. Yeah, we're gonna roll.
Speaker 2 (09:27):
We're gonna roll over. I'm gonna I've got a good end.
I built this intro over the last few weeks because
I've been writing this podcast for probably about I don't know,
since May.
Speaker 4 (09:35):
I might as well get this out of the way
right now.
Speaker 1 (09:37):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (09:39):
I was gonna ask you if you had to fart,
because I knew it was coming. We know each other
so well, John, perfect the rundown. The dog days of
summer are approaching, John. It's it's the twenty first of
July already, hard hard to believe. But we are days away,
two days at the time of recording, actually from training
camp to kick off at Saint John Fisher's Hard Knock.
(10:00):
Don't forget about that getting in place for Buffalo's moment
in the sun. John. This means one thing, the Buffalo
Bills are almost back, and more importantly, we are back
for eighth season.
Speaker 1 (10:10):
Eighth season.
Speaker 4 (10:11):
It's it's wild to think how, first of all, how
this podcast began, when it began, and just everything that's
transpired since start going.
Speaker 1 (10:21):
Let me roll it back, John, Oh, you're back for.
Speaker 2 (10:23):
Our ninth season.
Speaker 1 (10:24):
Ninth season.
Speaker 4 (10:25):
All right, well that's even even more like Wow, man,
it's been nine years of the process.
Speaker 2 (10:30):
Twenty seventeen was when we started the first because I
went back to the first game. It was Bill's Jets.
That was the wild card year where they got to
the playoffs.
Speaker 1 (10:37):
And yeah, the streak was or the drought was broken that.
Speaker 2 (10:40):
Year played the Jags.
Speaker 1 (10:42):
That was awful.
Speaker 2 (10:44):
Yeah, all up from there, though, it's been all up.
Speaker 4 (10:46):
It's been. It's been. It's been a wild ride. It's
been it's been fun to you know, I mentioned it
a number of times last season where it just was
really fun to kind of go back through the historical rise,
and the fact that we've been able to kind of
capture it all in almost like real time is pretty cool.
(11:09):
Like when when the process is over, because all eras
come to an end, but when the process era is over,
I think we're going to be able to look back
very fondly on it, not just because of the football
memories and then you know, the new stadium coming and
all the all the things that have been happening there,
but just our our archive of of the rise and everything.
(11:32):
And incidentally, I can't tell you how many times I've
pointed to the very first I don't say this's the
first episode that I was on, Maybe it was the
first episode I was on where I had proclaimed back
then that you guys had Josh Allen uh and and
that you guys had the guy that you you needed
(11:52):
and if he was developed properly, he's going to be
a freaking force. And you know, I had strongly believed
that based off of everything that I had seen from
him in Wyoming once he got drafted and all that stuff,
and and everything that I was hearing from the pundits
about blah blah blah. So it's kind of like repeating
some of the things they were saying but then using
some of my But I would have never, ever, ever, ever,
(12:15):
ever ever guessed that.
Speaker 1 (12:19):
We would have been very right on that.
Speaker 4 (12:21):
Like no, what what has what has been captured in
this entire you know, nine year stretch has been the
rise of Josh Allen And it's really cool to look
back at historically and read through the transcripts that are
poorly written and see how pro Josh Allen I was
(12:42):
and how I had to kind of twist the arm
to get you on board.
Speaker 1 (12:44):
But then once you.
Speaker 4 (12:45):
Got in the last nine years, Oh, I don't think
the AI would uh would be able to curb that.
Speaker 2 (12:55):
Man nine years Chris, I'm trying to curb my Chris. John,
I'm trying to curb my self for Chris's parents.
Speaker 4 (13:02):
And so it's not disappointed in me, Hi, mister and
missus Downey, I've already let you down with a fart,
But trust me, there will be plenty more.
Speaker 2 (13:10):
I mean, I already dropped an F bomb and world
any more. It's in John, really yeah, I said, if it,
we'll do it live back in thee.
Speaker 1 (13:17):
Oh you did you did, Yes, you did, Yes, you did.
Speaker 2 (13:19):
Bill O'Reilly impression. I one of my favorite show.
Speaker 4 (13:21):
He's a terrible but I I so. I can't even
blame the weed this time. I just forgot that you
said that.
Speaker 2 (13:28):
That's fair.
Speaker 1 (13:29):
I forget.
Speaker 2 (13:30):
I say things all the time until someone says to me,
did you say this? And I go, yeah, sounds like
something I would say. All right, are three big things
brought to you by Buffalogo. They are back for another season.
Buffalogo is Buffalo based marketing and merchandising company that specializes

their own clothing line that is full of fun Buffalo

the off season, quarterback Josh Allen the most Valuable player
of the National Football League from his zero star recruit
(14:13):
to a National Football League Most Valuable Player, but heme
the most valuable husband. This offseason.
Speaker 1 (14:17):
Yeah, he did.
Speaker 2 (14:18):
He put a ring on it. Now he just has
another ring he's going to be playing for. That's the
corniest thing he said in a long time.
Speaker 1 (14:25):
But it's the truth.
Speaker 2 (14:26):
I mean, he's he's he's found the right one. He
settled down, for lack of a better explanation, which I mean,
when you get married, you don't necessarily settle down. But
marriage is pretty cool. I was just gonna give you
a second to laugh at me at that one.
Speaker 4 (14:40):
But I mean, I'm getting married, but that's next year.
It's twenty twenty six. So you know, when you talk,
I think I never something I never said I do again,
But here I am getting ready to do it again.
But I know it's cool. You know, Josh Allen getting married.
He went from the MVP to the MVP Most Valuable Bay, right,
Hayley huh yeah.
Speaker 1 (15:02):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (15:02):
Well, let's just hope that the take too much out
of him.
Speaker 2 (15:06):
I mean, people are could be blewing us right now, John.
Speaker 1 (15:08):
They may they may be.
Speaker 4 (15:09):
It's okay, we're getting we're getting it out right right now.
But I'll tell you what, maybe just maybe on the honeymoon,
maybe he built up more endurance.
Speaker 2 (15:19):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, I mean, yeah, yeah, carry on, yeah yeah.
Speaker 1 (15:27):
Who'd we sign and who would we signed the offseason?
Speaker 2 (15:29):
Ryan wide receiver, Elijah Wore wide receiver, Josh Palmer, defensive end,
Joey Bosa, defensive end of Michael Hoyt, defensive tackle, Larry
Okunjobi linebacker Shack Thompson, and safety Derek Forrest. Now this
this points to john a big focus on twenty twenty
five obviously, but but digging a little bit deeper looking
at it, what failed the Buffalo Bills last year? It
(15:49):
was not their offense and it really wasn't their defense.
It's just the defense did not step up. Who stepped
up when the time was right? I mean, yes, there
was that. There was that dropped past by Dalton Kincaid,
which we found out through Ty Dunn and his incredible
writing that Dalton Kincaid was in dire straits last year
in terms of health. He had a PCL injury. He
(16:11):
had also like this weird I forgot what it was called,
but like an issue where you have like fluid building
under the skin. It's like a bruise, but then like
it gets all like bloated and fluid. It's really painful
looking and painful sounding. But I'm not a doctor. I've
talked about that before, but looking toward twenty twenty five,
I feel like, just based off of how I'm coming
(16:35):
into this season, John on a personal level, like I
this is gonna sound terrible, but it's easy to way
to explain. I don't care what happens with the Bills.
And I say this because I am now seeing the
Buffalo Bills through the eyes of a three year old.
My daughter is absolutely in love with the Buffalo Bills.
(16:57):
She loves Josh Allen. Just we just were able to
We were not able to get tickets to training camp,
but I did score some tickets to the return of
the Blue and Red practice at high Mark, So we're
taking her to Highmark Stadium cool final year of the
of high Mark too, So this may be yeah, I'm
going to try to get there.
Speaker 4 (17:13):
I got to try to get there at least for
like the Kids Night, the Kids Night for the preseason game.
I'd like to try and get there for that because
I am I am imagining tickets for each game are
probably going to be hard to get before they get
even harder when the New.
Speaker 2 (17:32):
Stateium wants to take me to the Bills Patriots on
my birthday and it's like last check, like two hundred
a ticket, which again not.
Speaker 4 (17:42):
Great, but maybe I mean, well, what section.
Speaker 2 (17:46):
Just getting in the door? I believe at that point.
I mean, there's not there's not a bad seat in
the house. I've gone to a few games there, I've
been to a few concerts there. You can see everything,
which is fantastic. It's just do you want to spend
that amount of money every time?
Speaker 1 (17:58):
I feel like they're gonna yeah, I could.
Speaker 4 (18:01):
I could see this season that them jacking up the
prices quite a bit because it's the last season. And
then especially when you look at and I know we're
going to touch upon later on in the podcast on
the schedule being one of the easiest on paper, the
Bills are are are very likely going to be cruising
through the season, honestly in my opinion, and I think
(18:24):
part of being you know, being good on top of
being the last season at high Mark, which you know,
maybe a dump right now, but also houses an unbelievable
amount of good Buffalo Bills core memories that you know
people are going to want to take in the setting
and the scene one more time where they can.
Speaker 2 (18:44):
The new stadiums going to meet it was incredible too.
Speaker 4 (18:47):
Yeah, I've seen, you know, they installed the first seats recently,
which is pretty nice to see. I'll be I'll be,
you know, like I said, I want to go to
the high Mark one more time.
Speaker 1 (18:59):
Probably one of.
Speaker 4 (19:00):
The preseason games would be just the easiest, I think,
simplicity would that would be the easiest route to take
to get there and take pictures and see the scene
one more time and you know, see the p line
standing outside the bathroom and and all that crap. But
definitely the next year after that, maybe maybe year two,
(19:20):
probably go to the new high Mark and when the
price is gonna have to a little bit.
Speaker 2 (19:24):
Yeah, I'm gonna have to try to score some seats.
Hopefully they decide to sell some stuff from the current
high Mark Stadium.
Speaker 1 (19:28):
But we'll cross that would be. That would be, that
would be cool right now.
Speaker 2 (19:33):
At ze bot tweets points out this is back in May,
because again this is this is I've had this tab
open up on my on my Google Chrome on my
phone since May. The Bills have the fifth easiest strength
of schedule second least miles traveled one game outside of
the Eastern Standard time Zone, Cincinnati, Baltimore, Kansas City, and
Philadelphia all come to Buffalo. This is all conjecture here,
(19:54):
but perhaps the easiest road schedule, perhaps the most winnable division.
A lot of falling into place for the twenty twenty
five Buffalo Bills. Z tweets also points out per at
sharp Football the Bill strength of schedules even more wild
when you consider that teams with the top nine easiest
strength of schedule in twenty twenty five all head losing
records in twenty twenty four except for the Bills. Among
the teams with the top thirteen easiest schedule strengths of
(20:16):
schedules in twenty twenty five, only two of them made
the playoffs in twenty four. That was, the Bills were
the fifth easiest and the Buccaneers with the tenth easiest
schedules coming into the season. Among the teams with the
top eighteen easiest strength of schedules in twenty twenty five,
only two of them made it passed the wildcard route
in twenty twenty four. The Bills and Buccaneers, the other
two playoff teams, lost by twenty plus points in the
wild card round. That's the Broncos and the Chargers. The
(20:38):
twenty twenty five strengths of schedule for the four teams
in the twenty twenty four Conference championship games, the Bills
with at fifth, Commanders at nineteenth, Chiefs at twenty seventh,
and Eagles at twenty ninth.
Speaker 1 (20:48):
So those Chiefs and Eagles teams, they're going to be.
Speaker 2 (20:51):
Good, we know that, but they're going to have they're
going to have their work cutout for them.
Speaker 1 (20:54):
Now.
Speaker 2 (20:55):
In reaching out because I've got a few Trustee listeners
obviously for trust the podcast, my cousin Dan being one
of them, I reached out to him and said, is
there anything you want to know about coming into the
season this year? And his question was simple, did the
Bills brass do enough for the defense to get them
over the hump of postseason Kansas City? Now, offensively, John,
we saw, we mentioned it. Buffalo essentially changed the oil,
(21:18):
rotated the tires, did their routine maintenance. On offense, they
added Josh Palmer who may be ready to step up
into a bigger role and be a bigger part of
an offense. But what we saw in San Diego or Sandy,
good Lord, I need to take a take a lap
for that one what we saw in Los Angeles. I mean,
(21:39):
if he brings that to Buffalo, fine, that's great. I
don't necessarily the same thing with Elijah Moore. You see
the talent there, but you don't know is this going
to be Hey, now that he's on a very good
team with a very good offense, will he make that step?
Speaker 1 (21:56):
Who knows.
Speaker 2 (21:56):
But most of the offense remains the same, which we'll
talk about it here in a minute, sure. But defensively, though, John,
we're looking at a complete overhaul now. Last year, per
NFL dot Com, Buffalo's defense fell out of the top
ten in points allowed for the first time in three
seasons and experienced its worst ranking in the yards allowed
since twenty seventeen. That amounted to that still amount to
(22:16):
two and eleventh and seventeen plays finished, respectively. But such
margins are vital in a stacked AFC, and in my belief,
somebody will have to step up, simply because the Buffalo
Bills have added nineteen players to the defense this offseason,
three defensive lines, specifically through the draft, and Dalton Wasserman
of Pro Football Focus points out that six of Buffalo's
(22:37):
first seven selections were defensive players, including first round cornerback
Maxwell Harriston and defensive lineman TJ. Sanders and Landon Jackson.
If this iteration of the Bills finally makes it to
the super Bowl, it will be because of the team's
twenty twenty five draft class. It'll be because the team's
twenty twenty five draft class, sorry, made an immediate impact. Now, John,
(22:58):
before I go any further, what are your thoughts just
on the surface the offseason we've seen from the Buffalo
Bills coming into training camp.
Speaker 4 (23:07):
Well, I think you know, you mentioned the nineteen players
that Buffalo added. That's the definitely threw numbers at the
problem that they had there, right. You know, we covered
quite a bit a lot of times where it seemed
like the defense definitely let the offense down, didn't really
help them out, you know, and I think we get
(23:29):
too wrapped up in how sick Josh Allen plays. But
it's not sustainable. You know, at some point the defense
had to, you know, step up.
Speaker 1 (23:41):
So the Buffalo Bills kut us to the front office.
Speaker 4 (23:43):
They did that. They they threw the numbers at them
and added nineteen defensive players. And it so to me
that's either depth building or panic. I would say more
depth building than panic. I would say, be panic if
you start seeing you know, trades through the season, you know,
specifically around defense, or it's just not working out. But
(24:07):
I'm not sure really how to label that, but it's
it was definitely a problem that was easily noticed, and
they jumped on it and they solved hopefully solved it there.
So I'm kind of indifferent on what these ads are
going to do. I mean, you look at two the
addition of Joey Bosa and and adding him like that's
(24:30):
that's almost like.
Speaker 1 (24:31):
A Madden move, you know what I mean.
Speaker 4 (24:33):
And and so hopefully his hamstrings are going to be okay,
and and you know he'll be able to do well
for the Buffalo Bills there. But this, to me, it's
a statement they knew what the problem was. The offense
is you know, running it back like a Netflix specially,
you know what I mean, They've got the same class,
They've got the new you know, but a different store,
(24:54):
you know, new story, same cast. They the offense wasn't
really the big thing. So defense is really what's going
to be telling this year. Their measure for success is
going to be whether or not the defense gets back
into that top ten, I would feel, and if they
go lower then they then they may have a bigger
problem than they bargained for.
Speaker 2 (25:13):
I mean, if you're if you're counting, if you're counting
the Week eighteen game against the Patriots where the Bills
did not play, they played Josh Allen for one play.
The Bills in all but that bye week have scored
at least score at least twenty three points from Week
six until the conference championship game.
Speaker 1 (25:31):
Like, it's not it's not scoring points. It is not
the problem.
Speaker 2 (25:34):
It's it's not allowing the points. It's it's right, We've
we've seen for so long that the Bills like to
play almost like a complimentary type style of defense, where
yeah they've got their shutdown corner, Yeah they've got a
strong safety and they've got strong safety play. Yeah they
sometimes get to the quarterback. But I think now they're
(25:55):
figuring out that and obviously strong linebacker play with with
Matt Mlano and.
Speaker 1 (26:00):
In others right there.
Speaker 2 (26:01):
But sure, when you look at it, the problem has
continued to be consistent pressure on the quarterback getting to
the court.
Speaker 4 (26:09):
Right.
Speaker 2 (26:09):
Well, I shouldn't say the Buffalo.
Speaker 1 (26:11):
Bills last year.
Speaker 2 (26:11):
Their problem was they were able to get consistent pressure,
but never never able to get the job done right.
That was that was causing them trouble getting off the
field on third downs. That was causing them trouble to
stop a talented team from always scoring anything, whether it's
a field goal, touchdown, whatever. And again, we have reached
(26:31):
the point of Josh Allen where you're not going to
guarantee a touchdown every every drive, but we're getting sure,
we're getting prett damn close to where it's like they're
probably gonna score points no matter what.
Speaker 4 (26:40):
And and we say this, let's keep in mind too,
the Bills finished thirteen and four last year, So it
wasn't like their defense, you know, ruined their season. But
in those four losses, like I would I would say two,
maybe three of those four losses could could be owned
by the defense there and and not letting you know
what I mean, like they could have had.
Speaker 2 (27:02):
Going going into the year two under Bobby Babbage. I think,
as well, it's it's it's grow it's those first year
coach growing pain.
Speaker 4 (27:09):
You know what, You're right, I've completely forgot about that.
Speaker 2 (27:11):
It's okay, I've I'm sitting here and I know the
Bills have really good linebackers, but I can't remember their
names right now because it's been five and a half
months since I've thought about the Buffalo Bills.
Speaker 4 (27:20):
Yeah, and you know, so even though that there is
the continuity with there, with the uh, with the defensive
you know, coaching staff, there still those those new additions.
You may see some hiccups here and there. Well that's
what they'll shell kind of you know, midway through it.
But it's almost like you're starting over again. But you
(27:42):
know there with that amount of additions, you know, it's
a fifty three man roster. Nineteen people on one side
of the ball.
Speaker 1 (27:49):
Isn you know what is remember you know what I
just remembered from last year.
Speaker 2 (27:53):
Don't forget that last year was also a rebuilding year
for the Buffalo Bills.
Speaker 1 (27:56):
Oh that's right, that's right.
Speaker 4 (27:58):
They weren't supposed to They were supposed to win the division,
but they were supposed to lose in the wild cover
or something like that, right, I remember that it was
a it was a rebuild year that didn't work out
very well.
Speaker 2 (28:09):
No, it did not work out very well for the
Buffalo Bills. But I look at it this way to
have a young coach, and I don't know. Again, I
don't know if this was something that was driven by
by Bobby Babbage, a conversation, noticing something whatever. But what
they were doing defensively, it's not sustainable. It's not going
to work. It may work week six against you know,
(28:32):
Joe blow whatever. Yeah, great, cool, you got five sacks
and they allowed six points. What are you going to do?
What you're going to do?
Speaker 4 (28:40):
Uh?
Speaker 2 (28:40):
Not to quote the racist when you're in when you're
in Arrowhead and you may or.
Speaker 4 (28:45):
May not be on life support, depending on which story
you believe, yeah allegedly. Yeah, I'll save that for the
JC Muney show.
Speaker 2 (28:52):
Yeah, what are you going to do in January when
you're getting popped in the mouth every single drive?
Speaker 1 (29:00):
When you know.
Speaker 2 (29:02):
Points are inevitable, touchdowns are inevitable, busted coverage is inevitable.
How are you going to slow that down? Hey, look
at we can't. This guy just doesn't get sad. It's
hard to sack this guy. Once you're roll hi out
of the pocket, he's hard to get down. How are
you going to work on that? And don't I don't know,
I mean I'm very interested, and we'll talk more about
(29:24):
it as training camp plays out, because obviously we'll get
a very good idea what the Buffalo Bills are trying
to do defensively. But I mean, are they Are they
going to continue to like is is Joey Bosa gonna
be Von Miller where they're gonna, Hey, we'll play you
thirty percent of the snaps in the postseason. We're gonna
ramp you up. Or is this gonna be We're gonna
come out and we're gonna try to hit everybody in
(29:45):
the mouth and figure out, you know, the best way
to play Buffalo Bills football defensively. I don't know, because
last year kind of felt like an offshoot of a
Sean McDermott defense, which understandable, but as the year went
on and they started to develop, it felt like, again
you can see the numbers kind of trail off, but
it seems like it was a very good education on
(30:07):
the fly for not only Bobby Babbage but the defense itself.
And again a nice nugget here from Chris Brown of
the Buffalo Bills. The average age of Buffalo's defensive line
after the AFC Championship game was twenty eight point eight
going into the season after the draft, the average age
of the defensive line twenty four point seven. They made
a point of emphasis to build through their defensive line
(30:27):
this year, which was pointed out by seven Kevin Syracuse
on Twitter. Again they saw something, they made a point
to work on it. Same with cornerback two. Again we're
doing this again where Russeull Douglas free agent, still a
free agent as far as I know. But this yearly
storyline rugs. The yearly storyline rears its ugly head once
(30:49):
more again. Cornerback Maxwell Harriston was drafted in the first round.
Putting a cornerback, a first round cornerback in that spot
probably not a recipe for success.
Speaker 1 (31:01):
We've seen that before.
Speaker 2 (31:03):
But the Buffalo Bills have JaMarcus Ingram, who's been around
for quite some time, stepped in when necessary. It hasn't
been terrible, but you know, you would want to set
a little bit more development from him. Brandon Codrington returns again,
acquired last year from the Jets, was great and in
kickoffs and in punt returns, but could be facing a
(31:24):
roster squeeze due to the addition of other cornerbacks as well.
As uh, I can't. I'm gonna try. It's gonna be I.
I go ahead, Ryan, give it a shot. I don't
even know Laviska Jr. Yes, thank you.
Speaker 4 (31:44):
Yeah, that's that's That's just how I'm But you know,
every year, it's an every year thing. It's like, and
who's playing cornerback? Who's going to be covering wide receiver too?
And we won you know what I mean, death taxes
in that.
Speaker 2 (31:59):
But he don't forget they brought back Dane Jackson and
tre Davis White.
Speaker 1 (32:01):
They did. Tre Davis White was okay with the Ravens.
Speaker 2 (32:07):
Dame Jackson was with the Steelers. I want to say,
but again, these are players who fit roles in Buffalo,
and are they going to continue to develop their defense
that way or do they want to take a shift
in a direction of you know, we're always going to
play our three best defensive linemen or our four best
defensive linemen or our best defensive ends, or are they
(32:27):
going to continue to roll people out because I mean,
right now you've got going into Week one, John healthy, healthy, right,
Joey Bosa and Gregory Russo, Like, okay, that's that's great.
At Oliver in the middle, awesome, but you have to
find you have to find more effective ways to get
to the quarterback, and there needs to be I don't
(32:48):
think at Oliver is completely at fault for ineffectiveness because
again the fancy stats were not terrible last year if
I remember correctly, But you want to see more of
the eye test where you want to see more of
getting pressure, sustaining pressure, getting too the quarterback, putting pressure
on the quarterback because again, the younger the Bills are
(33:12):
in the back end, the more efficient they have to
be on the front end to take the pressure off
that back end. Obviously, but offensively, the big story coming
into camp get in the bag. James Cook has said
openly he wants fifteen million per season. He did a
ten mandatory mini camp. Unsure if he's going to show
up for training camp yet, but it seems like that
(33:33):
is at least an amicable relationship right now. In twenty
twenty four, only two hundred and seven carries, which again
he was not a workhorse by any stretch imagination on purpose,
one thousand and nine rushing yards, sixteen rushing touchdowns, thirty
two perceptions for or two hundred and fifty eight yards sorry,
and two receiving touchdowns. He is a pending unrestricted free agent.
That's something important to keep an eye on. Do the
(33:53):
Buffalo Bills run him into the ground and give him
the ball three hundred times? Or do they continue do
what they're doing and rely on Ray Davis and Ty Johnson,
who are both returning this year, and continue just to
play it, play their hand the way that they have.
That'll be an interesting story to see. But john continuity
is again the story of the name of the game,
(34:14):
the story on offense. QB one, RB one two and three,
wide receiver one and two, tight end one in two.
Full back, left tackle, left guard, center, right guard, and
right tackle are all returning from the twenty twenty four
Buffalo Bills. That's not to say things will change in
camp and someone will lose a job, but coming into camp,
your entire offense, for lack of a better explanation, your
(34:35):
starters are all returning, and that has to be a very,
very very big feather in the cap of this Buffalo
Bills team.
Speaker 4 (34:43):
Absolutely absolutely, and you know we've talked about it in
years past, not just on this podcast, but BLTD as
well when we were talking about other teams that either
had those issues where you know, continuity was not a problem.
I mean, you look at some of the quarterbacks of
years past, where they may have had different offensive coordinators
every year of the season. Like Alex Smith, remember when
(35:06):
he was when he was the forty nine ers drafted
by forty nine, I think he was on the three
or four offensive coordinators in each of his first four seasons,
and different moving parts and things like that. And it's
hard to gel and be continuously successful when you're constantly
making change after change after change and moving parts and everything.
You're not building that fluidity. And Sean McDermott has always
(35:30):
done a very very good job of keeping the focus
and keeping that center balance to where no matter who
they're putting in to whatever piece, they're buying into the
culture and they're buying into the process, they're buying into
the game plan and it translates on the field. So
(35:50):
I think because of that, that's part of the reason
why you've got a lot of these players that will
continue to come back. They'll they'll take lesser even in
some instances James cook aside, we'll talk about that, you
know a little bit more, especially as the as as
the season goes on with him, like I love James Cook,
(36:11):
but fifteen million, you know, I'd like to see him
probably you know, display hands like Alvin Kamara or or
run like CMC. You know what I mean, like be
that type of guy if he's gonna command that kind
of money.
Speaker 1 (36:27):
Like he's gonna he's good. He's not great yet, you
know what I mean, Like it's twisted. He will someone
will pay.
Speaker 2 (36:32):
Him that if Buffalo does, not sure, But where Buffalo
is offensively again, I mean not to discredit anybody on
this on the offensive side of the ball, but Josh
Allen often pardon my French, is making chicken salad out
of chicken shit right right.
Speaker 4 (36:50):
And that's the thing is, I don't think James Cook is.
I think he's a He was certainly an upgrade to
what's his face that was there before. Oh my god,
I can't believe I've forgot Devin Singletary.
Speaker 2 (37:03):
I was gonna say, I'll put it this way, it's
it's not Buffalo would definitely take a step back without
without James Cook in the line.
Speaker 4 (37:11):
Sure, yes, it would take they would take a step back.
But I don't think I think if James Cook is removed.
I think the Bills are cohesive enough to slot someone
else in that that can cover for him. Like I
don't see like I don't look at James Cook the
same way that I look at Derrick Henry. Right, Derrick
(37:32):
Henry is a difference maker. Even at thirty years old.
Now we're winding where we're running backs wind down, Derrick
Henry is still a monster. He's still a beast. He's
still a presence on the field. He's a difference maker
on the offensive side of the ball for the Buffalo Bills.
Everybody knows it's Josh Allen. He's that presence, he's that
(37:52):
that decision maker, He's that or of the offense. There,
James Cook is not he again, He's good. He definitely
takes some pressure off of Josh Allen where they don't
have to do as many designed runs and that could
save him, you know, longer term.
Speaker 1 (38:11):
But I don't know. This is going to be a
very big prove it year for for for James Dalvin Cook.
Speaker 2 (38:19):
And also having having access to our knocks, which we
may have to, yes, we may have to.
Speaker 1 (38:26):
Start becoming TV critics, John because.
Speaker 4 (38:28):
Oh I'm I'm all in on hard Knocks like once
they said when they said it was the Buffalo Bills.
I'm like, there is no way this, this is not
going to be entertaining.
Speaker 2 (38:37):
Like we may have to you know, yeah, we may
have to do our.
Speaker 4 (38:41):
I mean, I mean all of them are there are entertaining.
Detroit Lyons one last year was wildly entertaining.
Speaker 1 (38:48):
I mean I watched the Bears.
Speaker 2 (38:49):
I watched the Bears one a couple of weeks ago
when daughter, my daughter was home, youngest was home sick,
and we just sat in the couch. You fell asleep
on me and we just watched it on NFL network.
Watched like five straight hours of Hard Knocks. I'm like,
I could watch this all. It's like the same thing
with watching We started watching Quarterback the second season a Quarterback.
It's just.
Speaker 1 (39:09):
I haven't watched any of those yet.
Speaker 2 (39:10):
I'll tell you what I was telling my wife last night,
is that on Netflix.
Speaker 1 (39:13):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (39:13):
Kirk Cousins is a is a I want to say it, but.
Speaker 1 (39:17):
Here's a very nice human being.
Speaker 2 (39:18):
He's a dork. He's such a dork. But but spoiler alert,
when he pulls out uh fifteen fifteen notebooks from every
season he's ever played and he's like, look at I've
got every game, all the notes I've ever taken, all
the work I've done. I go back and look at
past games. He has like he's like doing voice memos
where he goes and talks to the coach where he's like,
(39:39):
look at what am I doing wrong? What are you seeing?
Speaker 1 (39:41):
For me?
Speaker 2 (39:42):
As a person like that is why a guy like
Kirk Cousins, who is the whitest guy you've arguably known
in your entire life, even if you don't know him,
you look at him and you're like, yes, you are.
You are fresh to death, white new balances, Yes, tan
tan shorts that go just below the knee like type
(40:02):
of thing.
Speaker 1 (40:02):
You know, very like you know.
Speaker 4 (40:04):
He's he's dad. He's he's dad.
Speaker 1 (40:07):
He would be the guy.
Speaker 2 (40:08):
He's the hotty fellow. Kids like that's that's Kirk Cousins.
But he has been able to maintain success in the
National Football League because he dedicates himself to the game
so well, and it's great.
Speaker 4 (40:20):
He's gonna make a hell of he would make a
hell of a coach if he wants to outside, you know,
once his football playing career is done, and that I
don't know if he has any aspirations for that.
Speaker 2 (40:28):
But that's the type of stuff that I'm so excited
to see with this Buffalo Bills team is We've got
a pretty good idea of who the characters are on
the team, but who are they gonna take a deep
dive on a side.
Speaker 4 (40:36):
I can't wait to see him on there, ke On
Coleman speaking coman and speaking of the Bill. And I
made a Madden reference earlier, and you know, you remember
I always tied in Madden, and you know my thing,
So I I got bored. I had, first of all,
I had completed, uh my franchise mode, like I did
(40:57):
it so much to where it couldn't be done anymore,
like it the game stopped for me.
Speaker 1 (41:03):
So I started.
Speaker 4 (41:05):
I started a brand new one out of boredom a
couple of weeks ago, and I had created quarterback that
was drafted first by the Indianapolis Colts and start kind
of doing, you know, doing the thing with with the
Colts and got to a couple of got to a
couple of super Bowls, but played five years there and
(41:28):
demanded a trade after the second super Bowl just because
and Buffalo picked me up. Buffalo picked up my quarterback
Josh Allen on the game. This was this would be
now I think the year twenty thirty three in the
virtual world. But Josh Allen, after having lost to the
(41:51):
Colts en route to the Super Bowl, Josh Allen didn't
renew his contract in the game, so he became a
free agent. So I went and I demanded, but I
demanded a trade sheause I wanted to see who would
you know, give up the most forum and Buffalo gave
up quite a bit. And now I'm on the Bills
(42:12):
and I ended up with the quarterback. I ended up
simulating the half of the season. And when I simulated
it and let the computer do it midway point of
the season, Bill's r eight no. According to Madden Football,
Josh Allen was the problem for that team in twenty
(42:34):
thirty four because I created a quarterback that was drafted
by the Colts, that was put onto the Bills and
then computer simulated. It wasn't even him, that was, you know,
scoring a lot, but they were eight no. And so
so now I'm gonna probably run the table with them
just for the.
Speaker 1 (42:54):
Hell of it.
Speaker 2 (42:55):
That's I mean, that's that's what I always do when
I play. I mean, I don't ever lose just because
I stand by this again.
Speaker 1 (43:04):
Uh, and I know Chris.
Speaker 2 (43:06):
I know Chris Downey also obviously I was gonna say
friend of the pod, but he's he's on.
Speaker 1 (43:11):
He's part of the pod.
Speaker 2 (43:12):
He's part of the pod.
Speaker 1 (43:13):
Holy jack Wagon.
Speaker 2 (43:14):
He has adopted he has adopted this. Uh that Hey,
you know, I play a easy because if I want
to be challenged, I'll go do something in my real life.
Speaker 4 (43:20):
Then oh oh yeah, yeah, there's there's only one way
to play this game.
Speaker 2 (43:23):
Although I got to tell you what, I gotta admit this.
I was playing n c doble A college football twenty
five and I was I went undefeated two years in
a row with Michigan and I'm never going to play
it again because I made the stupidest choice. I decided
to transfer to Texas. Arch Manning is still there. I'm
not going to play, so I'm well, this is stupid.
Speaker 1 (43:40):
What did I do that?
Speaker 4 (43:41):
I stopped playing n CUBA twenty five. I took Buffalo
the ub Bulls and they were in like, you know,
whatever conference, whatever shit little conference there in and I
ended up moving them to the Big the Big ten,
and swapped him with some bud. So he got this
little like community college stadium that's kicking the shit out
(44:03):
of like all these big ten names, and I, I
and I. But I moved them there because it was
really hard in the conference that the ub Bulls are
in to get them ranked. You ranked high, like you,
you could get ranked, but it would be a very
low one.
Speaker 1 (44:22):
So I moved them to the big ten so I
could go through that and be ranked high and get
that achievement and all that.
Speaker 4 (44:28):
And now once I did that, it was, you know,
it was all good. I will say, I want to
I want to take a look at n Cuba twenty six.
Speaker 1 (44:36):
I'm not going to buy it. I'm going to go in.
I'm going to go back to my you know.
Speaker 4 (44:40):
Buying those sports games in two year increments, just because
there's not really much of a difference in my opinion.
Speaker 2 (44:46):
But least talked too. I've I've upgraded as well, so
I've been able.
Speaker 1 (44:52):
What did you what do you? What do you have now?
Xbox series X? Oh you got the series X. I
bring it up.
Speaker 2 (44:58):
I bring it up because I did dispose of your
old PlayStation three actually this morning, did you I've had
that thing for.
Speaker 1 (45:11):
I can't remember when I gave it to you.
Speaker 2 (45:14):
Seven years six I think seven or eight years? Really,
I think, I actually, I think I got that from
you before I even got married. I believe.
Speaker 4 (45:24):
So it's been Oh yeah, No, it was definitely before
the wedding, because I was.
Speaker 2 (45:27):
More than Batavia. I remember because it died and I
was in my basement transferring files from my dead PlayStation
to my good PlayStation.
Speaker 4 (45:36):
Or was it when you were living in Greece, like
not too far from me where with your sister, and
I was in my.
Speaker 2 (45:41):
You may have given it to me then, but I
was in on Verona in Batavia at that time.
Speaker 4 (45:47):
Okay, okay, but yeah, I remember picking up. I was
surprised that you stay, you hung with it this this long.
But my man, you are incredibly dedicated to the to
the craft, the MLB, this show craft. Tell those audience
really quickly that if you can the story of that
like what I started.
Speaker 2 (46:06):
I bought the game twenty twelve, still had the receipt
in the package. I ended up playing it from twenty
twelve until now.
Speaker 4 (46:15):
It's unbelievable, on and off over the years.
Speaker 2 (46:17):
Nothing too crazy, he took. I've taken time off like
chunks of time, like a year and a half or
two off just you just get bored, don't want to
do it. But then if you need, you know, it's
a rainy day, you need something to do. Because I'm
not a huge video game guy, but I don't mind it.
You don't mind messing around and fooling and having a
little fun with it. But I'm trying to find out
if I have I know I have the numbers here somewhere.
(46:40):
It was again, it was ridiculous because again, you play easy,
want to be the best guy you could possibly be.
Speaker 1 (46:45):
Oh yes, oh here you go. And fifty eight hits, I.
Speaker 2 (46:51):
Had like nine hundred home run or twelve hundred home runs.
I'd have to find it. I can't find it. After Yeah,
all the records, I'd be every every record I've I've
set every record. And my guy was like thirty one
years thirty years old and I retired.
Speaker 1 (47:04):
Were you on one team the entire I was on
the rail I was.
Speaker 2 (47:07):
I got I started with the Twins because I wanted
to be a red Wing. Then they traded him to
the Rays and I played for the Rays until I
was a free agent that went to the Red Sox
and set all the records and left.
Speaker 4 (47:16):
Okay, so you were tired when you when it was
time to retire, you retired of Red Sox.
Speaker 1 (47:22):
Nice.
Speaker 2 (47:22):
Nice, Yeah, I walked away there you go look at
me now. But we're gonna send it to commercial break
here when we come back. Well more trust the podcast
here in the gear, read your network, and we are
back here on Trust the Podcast.
Speaker 1 (47:37):
Around the NFL? John, are you ready for it?
Speaker 4 (47:40):
Are we are we actually doing around the NFL?
Speaker 1 (47:43):
Is he sent it? He's had something. I have no idea.
We'll see. We will find out.
Speaker 4 (47:51):
It matters better even if it's just a hello if
there's crickets, because if I'm gonna, if I'm going to
introduce him, he needs to have some sort of voice and.
Speaker 2 (48:00):
Something then something make sure then something run the NFL
brought you by. Go Frost Yourself.
Speaker 4 (48:05):
Go Frost Yourself, located in Rochester, New York, does, but
other local bakeries do not. They make from scratch, creating
recipes themselves and using the best fresh ingredients they can
fine to create delicious flavors for customers. Daily Molly, Hello,

what Go Frost Yourself has become today and their passion
could be tasted in the items they make when you
(48:27):

or maybe you just want to try.
Speaker 1 (48:31):
Their incredible cinnamon rolls.
Speaker 4 (48:32):
If you are local, you can visit Go Frost Yourself
storefront at twenty five forty four Ridgeway Avenue or at
go frost Yourself dot com. Incidentally, walk in there, tell
them JC Money sent you. It won't get you anything, but.
Speaker 1 (48:49):
You might get walked out the door. No, No, are
you kidding me?
Speaker 4 (48:52):
I was hanging with Molly's dad the other day at
the wrestling show.
Speaker 2 (48:55):
I was gonna say it. It all depends who's there.
If Bob is there, you'll get a different answer. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (49:00):
Yes, Now Molly likes me. I like Molly. No, Molly's awesome.
Don't you even? Anyways?
Speaker 4 (49:08):
Now, maybe over to our unpaid intern, maybe the Unholy Jackwagon.
Definitely Chris Downey for around the NFL. Mister Chris Downey,
take it away if you would please?
Speaker 5 (49:20):
Hello, Hello, is this thing on? Ryan and John? It
is great to be back for another year of trust
the podcast. I appreciate you guys having me back. Again
this year. Joining mid season last year, Let's make it
a full season this year. I'm glad to be back.
Let's get to it. A few contract signings to note
from this past offseason. Three potential trade targets for edge
(49:44):
rushers for the Buffalo Bills all sign with their respective teams.
Speaker 1 (49:48):
TJ.
Speaker 5 (49:48):
Watt, Miles Garrett, and Max Crosby all lockdown long term,
massive contracts that helped boost the non quarterback market this year. Again,
these were guys for the Bills that were potentially linked
in one way or another. All signed with their respective
teams to remain where they're at getting paid. You know,
the Bills filled their void other ways, but you know
(50:10):
these guys got paid. Speaking of signings, the Giants signed
a pair of quarterbacks this offseason, Russell Wilson and Jamis Winston.
Now that's going to be a hell of a quarterback
room in New York because they also drafted Jackson Dart
And speaking of the NFL draft, Cam Word from Miami
went number one over all. The Tennessee dual threat Heisman
(50:33):
winner Travis Hunter out of Colorado went number two to Jacksonville.
The Giants drafted Abdul Carter number three. Will Campbell went
to the Patriots at number four and Mason Graham went
to Cleveland at number five. Running Back Ashon gent You
was just outside the top five at number six to
the Raiders. Now, speaking of the draft, Shador Sanders was
(50:55):
a projected first round pick maybe second round, fell all
the way to the fifth round pick one by the
Cleveland Browns. We'll see what happens there, Cleveland with a quarterback.
You know, they drafted uh two quarterbacks in this draft,
taking Shador in the fifth round, excuse me, taking Store
(51:17):
in the fifth round, but also drafting Dylan Gabriel in
the third round. So a little bit of a rookie
quarterback battle in Cleveland. Speaking in quarterbacks, longtime veteran Philip
Rivers signed one day contract recently to retire, formally retire
as a member of the Chargers. Now granted, Rivers didn't
play in LA he was a member of the San
(51:38):
Diego Superchargers, but regardless, Rivers formally retiring as a Charger
and cementing his legacy as as a Charger LA or
San Diego. Speaking of the Chargers, Mike Williams veteran wide receiver.
Mike Williams unexpectedly announced his retirement due to health concerns,
a thirty year old, you know, as a veteran.
Speaker 1 (51:59):
Receiver for the Chargers.
Speaker 5 (52:00):
So going into the camp, you know, Chargers have Alad
McConkie and Quinton Johnson as threats for Justin Herbert to
throw to. But you know, having two wide receivers, you'd
rather have three or four. So hopefully the Chargers can
add some depth in that area. Boys, it's good to
be back, good to be back with around the NFL.
Good to be back here. And trust the podcast. You know,
(52:22):
we'll work through this unpaid intern on Holy Jack Wag
and stuff throughout the year. John maybe we can work
out something. But boys, back to you.
Speaker 2 (52:32):
Thank you, Chris. I think I'm not really sure what
he said.
Speaker 4 (52:35):
Thanks Chris, Thank you Chris.
Speaker 2 (52:38):
This is the perk of like modern editing tools. I
can just like throw the audio in there and yeah,
so as long as you're anything racist or anything like that,
thank you. If he did, Chris, Thank you, Chris, looking up,
Thank you, looking ahead. Key dates, schedule real quick here
(53:01):
and then we're gonna wrap this bad boy up send
it on the road. Twenty twenty five. The schedule six
of the bills first seven opponents missed last season's playoffs,
and four of their final five foes did the same.
Speaker 1 (53:11):
It doesn't start.
Speaker 2 (53:12):
Easy for the Buffalo Bills, though, John Week one Sunday
Night Football and I'm already looking at the schedule going man,
our our recording schedule is going to be so jacked up.
Speaker 1 (53:20):
But I would take it, really is.
Speaker 2 (53:22):
I'll take it because remember when it was like we
would do it every like Monday evening or like Tuesday evening,
and it was like, man, this is cool, but like
why can't we have an evening game? And now it's
like every games in the evening, but.
Speaker 1 (53:35):
No, right exactly.
Speaker 2 (53:36):
Week one Sunday Night Football at high Mark Stadium versus
Baltimore Ravens. Week two at the Jets one pm. Week
three home versus Miami on Thursday Night Football. Week four
versus the New Orleans Saints at one pm, who appear
to be arcing for ARCH. I I don't know what
they is going to arching for arch andah arch that
(53:58):
arch that backs a normal absolutely, uh if you get
the reference grade.
Speaker 1 (54:03):
If you don't, I'm really sorry.
Speaker 4 (54:04):
I don't know. I don't know that too many people
are going to be concerned about your parents.
Speaker 2 (54:07):
Probably your parents probably don't want you listening to this podcast.
We're sorry, mister, and miss your spouse may not want
you listening to this podcast.
Speaker 1 (54:14):
I'm not sure.
Speaker 2 (54:15):
Week five first the New England Patriots on Sunday Night Football.
Week six at Atlanta on Monday Night Football.
Speaker 1 (54:20):
That is going to.
Speaker 2 (54:21):
Feature a throwback uniform matchup, which would be great. Week
seven bye week Week eight at Carolina one PM. Would
love to get to that game, but tickets are ridiculous,
so we'll see that. He is out. Yeah, I was
gonna go hang out with with our unpaid intern and
his better half and well guess what.
Speaker 4 (54:40):
Tickets are stupid expensive for Carolina? Really well, because that
is it.
Speaker 1 (54:46):
Because it's the Buffalo Bills.
Speaker 2 (54:47):
Everyone's going to travel the buff everyone.
Speaker 1 (54:50):
Yeah, yeah, they travel.
Speaker 2 (54:51):
Well, okay, you live, you you it's like the you
die a hero or live yours to see yourself become
the villain.
Speaker 1 (54:56):
It's kind of that phrase where.
Speaker 2 (54:57):
You you die with always having cheap tickets or lived
to see yourself be the team that everyone cashes third
season tickets out on your game when you come into
town fair whatever. That's why Bills fans can travel so
well because everyone's like cool, they'll pay a ton of money,
which is great, but also like damn, that sucks for
people who just want to like randomly go to Carolina
(55:19):
week eight. Week nine versus the Kansas City Chiefs and
Buffalo at four twenty five pm. Week ten at Miami
one pm. Week eleven versus Tampa Bay Buccaneers at one
pm in Buffalo. Week twelve at Houston on Thursday n
at Football. Week thirteen at the Pittsburgh Steelers at four
twenty five pm. Week fourteen at Cincinnati four twenty five pm.
Week fifteen at New England one pm. Week sixteen at
(55:40):
Cleveland at one pm. Same thing. Also, I'm not going
to go to Cleveland a week sixteen because ticket prices,
but also ill probably freeze my ass off.
Speaker 1 (55:48):
Yeah. Week seventeen vers Philadelphia.
Speaker 2 (55:50):
I know my cousin Dan will probably upset at that one,
but we'll talk about it. Week seventeen versus Philadelphia in
Buffalo at four twenty five and Week eighteen versus the
Jets to be determined the regular seas in finale at
high Mark Stadium. John no predictions now because it's way
too early, but.
Speaker 1 (56:06):
Probab should wrap this bad boy up.
Speaker 4 (56:08):
And you know you don't have you don't have a prediction,
not even not even not even one.
Speaker 1 (56:13):
Right now, brother, they're gonna go. I'm gonna say fifteen
and two, fifteen and.
Speaker 4 (56:22):
Two, why not, I've got them at I would say
either twelve and five or thirteen and four. I think
I think Atlanta could be a trap game. Miami playing
against them away, they always Miami always plays them tough
(56:43):
at home. Kansas City, you never know. He can kind
of flip a coin in that one. Cleveland again, That's
that's another one too, that that I think could be
one of those. Like I don't think any of the
teams that they're playing, aside from Philadelphia maybe in week seventeen,
depending on where they are, if the Eagles are not
(57:04):
like a Super Bowl hangover. But I don't think any
of these teams like I think if the Bills lose
to any of these teams, it would be because of
a minor thing, you know what I mean. Like, I
don't think any of the teams that they're playing this
year are built to destroy, if that makes any sense,
you know what I mean. So I think as long
(57:27):
as Josh Allen protects the ball like you know usual,
and he balls out like he does in the defense
in particular, injuries was major for them last year, I
feel like the last couple of years. So if the
defense can stay healthy, I think thirteen and four is
a realistic finish, possibly.
Speaker 1 (57:49):
Fourteen and three. I don't see them losing very much
in either direction. They should.
Speaker 4 (57:55):
They should cruise through the division, win the division, and
go deep into the playoffs if not, if not the
super Bowl. But that's again, that's July twenty first, twenty
twenty five prediction. A lot of crap can happen between
now and the end of training camp and then the
end of preseason two. So that may change, you know,
(58:16):
when we when we open up the actual.
Speaker 1 (58:20):
Regular season, and that may change.
Speaker 4 (58:22):
But as it stands right now, I think I'm gonna
lay in the thirteen thirteen and four area.
Speaker 2 (58:27):
That's fair, and we can we can wrap on that.
We can look back at this in a few weeks
when training camp wraps up. Obviously we'll be talking. I
got to figure out what we're gonna do moving forward here,
But we'll figure it out because we don't need to
we don't need to write down every preseason game.
Speaker 1 (58:39):
But maybe we'll talk.
Speaker 2 (58:40):
Now a lot of fun.
Speaker 4 (58:42):
Yeah, no, we'll just shoot the breeze man talk about
the vibes and and you know what's going on with Bill's.
Speaker 1 (58:47):
Mom and honestly and Bill's mafia.
Speaker 4 (58:49):
That's listening because I know there's a lot of you
that listen, And thank you number one, but number two
give us a shout, like let us know, like what
the vibe is from from your perspective if when you
go to the games, when you go to training camp, right,
what are some of the things that you've seen there
that you know maybe we are not picking up on.
Like definitely, let's let's engage a little bit more. I
(59:11):
will tell you on TikTok. Follow me on TikTok at
I am JC money There. I I enjoy the engagement
on that. It seems to be a lot easier to
communicate with folks there. So follow me at I am
JC money on TikTok. Let me know what you think
of the training camp and and things like that, and
I'll make sure Ryan gets the memo too so that
way we can talk about it and you know, you
(59:32):
never know, we may drop your name on the podcast.
As well, give you a nice little shout.
Speaker 2 (59:35):
Out, and maybe we'll have to come up with a
way to get like calls or something so we can
get some voicemails and yeah, I don't know.
Speaker 1 (59:41):
Well we we can. We can grow up.
Speaker 4 (59:43):
We've been doing, you know what, we can figure this
out downy unpaid intern, get on it.
Speaker 2 (59:51):
That's a great idea. Actually, I like that.
Speaker 1 (59:54):
Yeah, buddy, No, I want to know.
Speaker 4 (59:56):
I want to I wanna like, I want to meet
our PubL Look, I'd like to know what our public
you know, things like I want to factor that into
some of the conversation because every single week, Yeah we can.
We can run through the stats and things like that.
You're you're the best in the business when it comes
to that, Ryan, we could run through the stats, we
could run through what's coming up. But really I think,
(01:00:18):
you know, hearing from Bill's Mafia, like you know, what
the vibes are from them will help. Also, you know,
I think it'd be a nice, nice little thing this season,
nice little.
Speaker 2 (01:00:30):
Hoping to add absolutely I agree. So yeah, with that
with that being said, uh, for John, I am Ryan.
We are trust the podcast.
Speaker 1 (01:00:39):
You're not.
Speaker 2 (01:00:40):
We will catch you, same time, same place, next week.
Thanks for tuning back in as always, and uh Go Bills,
no one circles.
Speaker 1 (01:00:48):
The wagons like the Buffalo Bills show. Chow y'all.
