Speaker 1 (00:00):
There's something that I will, something will happen where Cody
will retire and I will be it.

Speaker 2 (00:09):
Oh okay, I will.

Speaker 1 (00:11):
I will do my best to retire Cody Roads. That's a.

Speaker 2 (00:32):
Ladies, gentlemen, boys and girls to bore the rest in classic.
And we are back for another casual conversation with a classic.
And I got a very special guest. You guys might
have seen him here, there and everywhere.

Speaker 1 (00:44):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (00:44):
He is the son of the late great Brodie Lee.
He is Brodie Lee Junior negative one. Whatever you guys
know him. I guarantee you you've seen him on the internet,
though you've since seen this kid. He's been everywhere. How
are you doing? How are you doing today?

Speaker 1 (00:58):
Oh? Good? How are you?

Speaker 2 (01:00):
I'm great. We're just gonna chill and talk. This is
called Capital Conversations. So you know what. Usually I'm interviewing
like older guys that will come on here and they'll
tell me about like seeing Andrea led Giant and King
and Bobo Brazil. But I'm just gonna ask you the
same question I asked all of them first, what were

(01:20):
your earliest memories of professional wrestling? Like, what were the
things you remember seeing us?

Speaker 1 (01:25):
But I remember going to all the WrestleManias like thirty
through like I think maybe thirty five maybe yeah, yeah,
thirty five, going all those and those were fun to
watch and then of course aw yeah, but that's more recent,

(01:48):
but early memories of WrestleMania going to like watching like
my dad compete at those.

Speaker 2 (01:55):
So those outside of your dad who were like who
was your favorite wrestle Like, oh, we're a kid, who
who do you? Who are you? Like? That's my person
a Biggie Biggie.

Speaker 1 (02:07):
Yeah, yeah, Bige was Biggie obviously in your day. Uh,
and honestly like everybody, but like mostly the.

Speaker 2 (02:18):
New day, most of the New day. That's cool though.
You have a cool relationship with Big Eie too, Yeah,
I've seen so it's cool that, like he was your favorite.
And then also like you got to be such a
big part of your life. Do you have any like
as a kid, like memorable moments backstage at these events
and stuff? Uh?

Speaker 1 (02:36):
I remember WrestleMania thirty five? Was it? No? Not thirty five?
I think it was just saying random like SmackDown made.
I just remember playing video games like all of them backstage,
and that was it was fun because like I love
video games obviously, and then going to play with all

(02:59):
these people that watched on TV, so that was always fun.

Speaker 2 (03:04):
What were you guys playing?

Speaker 1 (03:05):
Do you remember, uh, Game Beast? Maybe? Maybe I don't
know the I honestly I mostly watched more than aid,
but I still played a little bit.

Speaker 2 (03:23):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (03:24):
What was? Uh?

Speaker 2 (03:26):
What was? When did you realize that, like what your
dad was doing, like as a wrestler, Like when did
you realize that he's a wrestler? Like what is this?

Speaker 1 (03:32):
Like?

Speaker 2 (03:33):
Did you ever go to a show and were you
like worried for him.

Speaker 1 (03:35):
Or I think the most I've ever been worried was
I remember watching the dog column match and I cried.
But the funniest thing was I wasn't worried about safety.
I was worried that he lost the belt. I remember
my mom called him and I went into the room.
I was trying to act cool and I watched him one, two, three,

(03:57):
and I just remember crying and my oh, my dad.
He's like, I think he said, say how to Arnie Anderson?

Speaker 2 (04:06):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (04:08):
Crying? He's like, why I cry? And you're worried about
I was like, no, one already lost the belt.

Speaker 2 (04:16):
That's awesome and you're probably like you're probably like I
don't even want to say hi to Ron right now,
Like I just want to know what.

Speaker 1 (04:23):
Do you?

Speaker 2 (04:23):
What do you make me talk to? How does it
feel being like, you know, you have to be like
the youngest talent signed of all time, signed at eight
years old, didn't they want to be?

Speaker 1 (04:38):
Like everybody thinks I'm signed, I'm not signed.

Speaker 2 (04:43):
Oh so you're doing that extra work. You're looking independent
if you want to put it like that, because you've
been on TV quite a bit. Man. Yeah, so you're
not sign no nothing, but that's crazy. I thought you

(05:06):
were not anymore. So you were briefly no.

Speaker 1 (05:09):
Not no, I sawry I said not anymore.

Speaker 2 (05:13):
No, I was never signed, So they never gave you
a contract.

Speaker 1 (05:17):
I signed a contract or when I turned eighteen, if
I want to Uh.

Speaker 2 (05:21):
So that's what I meant, Like, technically you're assigned, but
you're not signed until you turn eighteen. You can't officially
signed till.

Speaker 1 (05:26):
You're eighteen, So the deal was when I turned eighteen.
If I want that contract, it is always open.

Speaker 2 (05:35):
So there's something. So you're still the youngest signed to
be signed one day you want it. If you want it, then.

Speaker 1 (05:47):
Yeah, I really signed was a It was that, and
I also signed a random like contractor when I turned
eighteen me versus mocks and death match.

Speaker 2 (05:59):
I don't.

Speaker 1 (06:00):
I don't know if i'll.

Speaker 2 (06:01):
So they're like, okay, we're gonna give you a thing
to sign that if you turn eighteen and you want
to wrestle, You're all good, but immediately you have to
wrestle Marx in a death match.

Speaker 1 (06:12):
No, no, that's two different contracts.

Speaker 2 (06:16):
Okay, yeah, you signed both. I did, so you didn't
even think about this death match situation. The older you get,
they're gonna have more fear of wrestling him in a
death match. You're not gonna know if you're gonna go
through with the first contract.

Speaker 1 (06:30):
I don't know if I'll take that offer up. I'll
I don't know the death match.

Speaker 2 (06:36):
Though, you know what to be fair, like, ask someone
that's older, like you're gonna be older by then, he's
gonna be older. Then I think you might be able
to take him.

Speaker 1 (06:47):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (06:51):
You got like what six seven years still, he's gonna
be six seven years older than you. I don't know,
you might be able to take them. To start hitting
the gym, eating your vitamins, but to eat some protein. Jat,
that's all you gotta do. Might I don't know, get
like get will hobb sized you know.

Speaker 1 (07:14):
That's it's gonna take me a while, but you know what,
it might be worth.

Speaker 2 (07:18):
It if you have to wrestle walks and the death match.
You know, how was it like your first experiences like
on TV and stuff, because obviously you want TV. Really
you're doing fun stuff. You were out there with the
Dark Order as negative one, Like how how are those experiences?
But you're not looking back like you're a little bit
older now you might be like that that's kind of crazy,
Like I don't know what.

Speaker 1 (07:39):
Yeah, first someone was on Live to You was the
Tribute show.

Speaker 2 (07:44):
Yeah, and.

Speaker 1 (07:46):
That was like looking back and like I was like, wow,
that's crazy that like this many people watch this because
like getting older, like the more I realized like people
watch that, it's crazy to me just because like seeing
how everybody watched that is crazy, man Like and then

(08:08):
like getting older, like I'll see stuff that I did
or like I'll cut a promo on TV and I'm
like who because like I cut promos now, and like
I'll look back at the old ones and.

Speaker 2 (08:27):
They weren't that great.

Speaker 1 (08:28):
You weren't impressed by them, especially online that many people.

Speaker 2 (08:33):
Is there is there any moment that you've had so
far that you actually have a little bit of secondhand
embarrassment from the outside of promos.

Speaker 1 (08:42):
That I just watched it back a couple of days ago,
and I was like, oh my god, this is horrible?
Was it? Qt Marshals to the spot? Right, Yeah, I'm
supposed to go like fight them or something. And then
he like gets in the red dogboard beats him up,
and I get on the apron and I say something

(09:05):
like I wait until nineteen, and then like there's a
weird pause, like I would fight you now there's a
weird pause. But he's like, I'm just gonna wait until
I'm eighteen, and he just I walk away. Yeah, I
look back at him.

Speaker 2 (09:25):
How's your how's your relationship with all the Dark Order
members and everybody? You were very close with them for
for the first half there.

Speaker 1 (09:32):
Yeah, I think the closest one like relationship I have
is Pressing the Man still, Yeah, because I talked to
Hi him a lot, so, but yeah, I'm still very
close with all of them.

Speaker 2 (09:46):
Question's awesome. He's a good dude, Uh, who else are
you close with backstage? Who are like your who are
your people backstage at a W A.

Speaker 1 (09:55):
Couple I'll say wrestlers first, and then oh, like the
real bad stage. But wrestlers that I hang out with
the most is by Dante Martin top Flight. They're they're
freaking cool. I always roll around with them. Let's see
Lee Moriarty. Yeah, I hang out with a bunch obviously

(10:19):
Samy and Tye, with Luna, Kevin Knight, so Will Hobbs
and then what But non wrestlers that I hang out
with is Charlie and he works on the props and
all that.

Speaker 2 (10:35):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (10:36):
Yeah, like most of the props that you see that
are really good come from Charlie and his people. So
I hang out with a bunch. So I've learned a
lot about props and stuff from him.

Speaker 2 (10:49):
You're learning other other trades in the business, just in
case you don't want to wrestle much, Yeah, and just
to just.

Speaker 1 (10:55):
To learn about like like because it will be barbed
wire that I'll touch it and like hesitate but it's fake. Yeah,
And then he's like, okay, touch just want I'll touch
it out because real And he's like we mostly use
real but like milk mix in uh fake like this

(11:19):
shows yeah, oh wow, like it's not as bad as
I thought, but still like this is gonna hurt.

Speaker 2 (11:28):
Yeah, heyoc boy, the resting Classic justin. I'm here to
show you, guys the new official license w W plus
choys that are available now Walmart got see online. Guys
can get yourself in. Jay us So he's got the hair,
a little mullet going on here. He's got the glass.
That's probably the coolest one that I think out of
them all. I actually related to ju. So. We got
some legends. We got some guys like Whole Coked. We
got Whole Menia, got the Hopes of Handleballers and all.

(11:50):
We got the American Nightmare, Cody Roads, Cody Rhods is
up in here. Look at the details and the jacket
and all that fun stuff. We got the Tribal Chief himself,
Roman Ring, and guys. I'm only showing you some of them.
There's so many other ones that aren't here with me. Now.
There's Sean Michael Stoneclad, Steve Aston, the Undertaker, CM Punkria Ripley.
This one's one of my favorites. Jake the Snake Roberts

(12:11):
with the snake. A little cool detail to have the
snake with him. I think anyone would enjoy playing with
this guy. It's got the old g gear and everything
as well, snakeskin boots of chorus. That had to get
Brett the hit Man heart the best. There is, the best,
there was the best. It will be Canna do like
the thing of little hand thing. I don't know. It's
cool Brett Hart once again. The details are really cool.
You can pull the straps down. That's another thing that's

(12:32):
like a little interesting, you know, if you want to
be playing with these. It's his retirement tour, Last time ever,
says it on the shirt. This is a very exclusive
plus store of John Cena. You can do the whole
you can see me last time ever. Pretty cool John
Cena plushty. These are kind of larger than your usual
plush toys, a little bit bigger than the tiny ones
that you can also get from Walmart. And then we

(12:53):
also got none of them their final boss the rock
doing the people's eyebrow and everything. Check these out Walmart
dot ce. There'll be in stores. Select styles will be
in select stores next month in November, and then in
twenty twenty six, they'll be in some stores in the
United States. WW Officialations Plush Toys. These were just some
of the ones I could show you. There's a ton more.

(13:14):
Make sure you get them all before they do another drop,
so you don't miss out on any of the any
of the drops. That's actually cool to learn about learning
that stuff when you're younger and being around them and
seeing how everything works. So by the time if you
do make the decision to go in there, you've already
learned so much you're kind of like soaking it all
in from all these people. I know a lot of
the people you brought up like I had know Dante

(13:35):
and Kevin and Sammy and stuff, and you know, they're
probably willing to teach you and show you things and
see what you've learned so far in the ring. And
on that note, I see you training a lot with
Naddy and TG you're out there in the dungeon, and
I have a great relationship with both of them too.
My fellow Canadians, how is it working at the dungeon

(13:57):
with Naddy and TJ. You know, there's always familiar for
you rolling in there, whether it's Kevin or or a
beef ab or Live or or Maxine who just wanted
into contental title. Like, how is it working at the Dungeon?

Speaker 1 (14:11):
I always tell people, and every time I tell people
they understand. But it's to me, it's hard to not
succeed and do bad when you have trainers like Nanny
and t J. Yeah, because they are next level amazing
and I will I can go on and on about

(14:32):
talking with them, but I'll minimize it as much as
I can. But they are so amazing and what they've
done in the business and what they've brought to wrestling
in general, not just WWE, but what they've brought to
ew what they brought to TNA, New Japan and Mexico. Like,

(14:55):
it's amazing because you see stuff that their family did
and you'll see it in so many other places. And
it's crazy to think that the people that the family
that like really like how do I say, is oh,

(15:17):
spent their life like around this business and just to
see them carry that on is crazy man.

Speaker 2 (15:27):
Yeah, And and like to your point that passing it
on to so many different people that work in so
many different promotions, it's not like they're just eliminated to
the promotion they work for like that. That's when I
see those familiar faces, Like you'll see people in that
work for different promotions. You'll see people in the killing
it on the indies, You'll see people into that work
in Japan. And it's like I always joke with them,
like because right now I know, it's like a private thing,

(15:50):
like it's invite only. Like yeah, that's that's their biggest
thing about it. They've invited me down there to come
hang out before too, but it's always like it's invite only.
And I've always like bud both of them. So when
you guys going to just like open us like we
don't know, we just like to do what we want
to do it and it's invitable, Like you guys are
just opening to school.

Speaker 1 (16:05):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (16:06):
Yeah, you know the money.

Speaker 1 (16:08):
Over there, you know, I've seen so not to cut
you off, but I've seen people like trying to pull
out money to pay Atty TV and Natty will not
take a dime from anybody. That's it's amazing to me
because you have schools teaching half of what they do
for a lot of money. And then yeah, it's but

(16:31):
like you said, it's invite only, so that anybody can
go and it's.

Speaker 2 (16:36):
And it's very and to your point, like someone that's
been around now for a minute, like there's a lot
of schools that take money from people, don't really teach
them enough, and then send them out there after like
a three week camp or something. You're like, yeah, at
least when nad you and teach you're getting a bank
to the buck. They want edyone to be safe and
they want everyone to succeed. And I think they're great
people and it's really cool they get to do that
with them. Is there anybody you kind of got to

(16:57):
tangle up with there that you were like, oh, because
I've seen wrestle everybody on her story, Oh, this prison
was better than I thought of. This is cool that
I'm wrestling this person.

Speaker 1 (17:07):
Well, it's crazy. Is before Leon Slater got signed, I
think into the dungeon and I remember I'm walking in
and I was like, I've never seen this guy before. Yeah,
and like I got to I don't. I think I
rolled around with him once. I I if I pulled
up a video and see, but I remember watching him

(17:29):
and just being like, Wow, this guy is gonna be something.

Speaker 2 (17:35):
Great.

Speaker 1 (17:36):
I talked to him today actually, yeah, and like same
thing with the Reese. When he walked in, I was like, okay,
Like this guy's like all right, it's got a good look.
And then I'm rolling around with him and I've gotten
very close with the Reese as well, and like it's
crazy to me because like all these great wrestlers that

(18:00):
are walking in that uh don't look bad, but like
you see them in your way, I don't know how
I feel about them. Yeah, they The same thing happened
to me with the Locos gym there. They're phenomenal wrestlers,
but when they walked in, I looked twice at them

(18:22):
because I was like, what do these guys bring? And
I hope people do this to me. I hope they
look twice at me so I can prove them like
I belong. And every person that has walked in the says,
almost every person that has walked in has proved me wrong. Marshay.
When she got released from WW I sat down with

(18:45):
my mom and I said, I really hope that she
because I think the week before she got released, she
came to the dungeon and I said, I really hope
she comes to the dungeon again and works really hard,
And she did she she's come a couple of times.
Now she sho TNA, she doesn't come as much, but

(19:07):
she still like comes a lot. And it like, to me,
that really fulfilling to me. Wait because like to say, like,
I really hope this person does good, and then they
do good, it's it's a good feeling.

Speaker 2 (19:23):
I feel like, yeah, no, it is. It's rewarding and
then it feels like, you know, you got to see
them put in the effort too, so then you kind
of not respect them more, but you're more excited to
see it pay off, like yeah, oh, like I saw
them put in the work and now they do get
is super cool. And that same thing with Mark. Yeah,
it's cool to see her TNA and I remember she's
down there a couple of times too, and it's like

(19:44):
she's one of those people too that I always find
fascinat because it's like she didn't come from wrestling, she
didn't go up around wrestling that way. Yeah, so the
fact that she wants to keep doing it, it's cool
because sometimes they hire the athletes from the outside world,
they get released and then they move on with their
like they don't want.

Speaker 1 (19:57):
To wrestle anymore. That's what happened with and that Dawkins
didn't get released. But I believe Mantes too. Dawkins and
Mantes they even know like a single thing about wrestling,
they said. And to see what they're doing and to
see how much they've brought to the business. The same
with beefab and I know him as to Hoodie.

Speaker 2 (20:21):
Yeah, but yeah, you know.

Speaker 1 (20:24):
Ashante, they didn't know a lot about wrestling. To see
the work that they're putting in, to see what they're
doing now, how much work they're putting in is crazy
to me because the thing, like the people that do
that same work grew up with wrestling. Like me, I'm
trying to put out as much work, but I grew
up with this and so I've ever wanted. But like Dawkins,

(20:47):
for example, he was a football player that they recruited
and he probably thought when he was a kid, I all,
I want to be a football player. And to see
the work and to see the effort that he puts
in is praising me.

Speaker 2 (21:00):
No, it's cool. It's cool to see that they've learned
to love it the same word you know, Uh it's uh.
I always nowadays say I'm like I love the rest
is I love par wrestling. Those are my favorite wrestlers
right because it's as I love par wrestling, and you
can tell when someone actually cares or they get upset
with themselves because something to go right, or like they're

(21:22):
passionate about it. So it's great and honestly like to
have the accessibility to go there and train with Nattie
and Tegen and I always think it's interesting, like there's
so many people that live around there and that that
Orlando area, that Tampa area, and like if you don't
take advantage of that, that's on you. Because like when
you're taking advantage of that, showing shows that you care.

(21:43):
You showing up shows that you care. And I think
that's cool. It's really hot there too, I heard. I
heard it's like it's like it's like not a facility,
facility with air conditioning.

Speaker 1 (21:53):
And just recently got air conditioning. Yeah, going back to Dawkins,
Darkins hates it, so we'll turn it off, which is yet. Yeah,
it gets very hot. I think most we wrestled in
was obviously with fans, but like I think it was
like ninety something to reason one day.

Speaker 2 (22:15):
Yeah we wrestled.

Speaker 1 (22:18):
Yeah, it's crazy. There will be some people like to
a chant or to HOUI that will do all eight
corners during that weather or not, Like I'll look at
some other people.

Speaker 2 (22:34):
That's great, especially in the summer, it's probably even hotter.
Yeah said, let me ask you about this then, because
you know, there's a whole story about you having a
balance wrestling in school, right, like you have to do yeah,
and you can only do wrestling stuff if you do
good in school. And we've helready been explained before the
times that we haven't seen it was because you weren't
doing good in school. How is that going?

Speaker 1 (22:57):
Well? What do you mean, like how school?

Speaker 2 (23:02):
How school going? And balancing wrestling in school?

Speaker 1 (23:05):
Well, school is all right. I just missed a week
because we wanted a cruise, as I posted the other
week on a cruise, so catching up on that. But
I mean it's good. It's hard to balance because especially
on Wednesdays, because I'll basically get home and I all

(23:27):
doom school and then I'm like, oh shoot, got get ready,
and then I leave. Then I get back, I'm like,
oh shoot, got do my homework. So do my homework,
and I got a shower, and I gotta put my
dogs away and all that and then so it Luckily
I've learned, especially doing this for almost like a year

(23:50):
now they're not almost almost like a year and a
half now, is that I've learned how to balance it?
So yeah, but it definitely at first was a big strow.

Speaker 2 (24:05):
Do you feel like for yourself sometimes like all I
want to do is wrestle, Like this is a lot.
There's a lot at once, like why am I even
doing this? I already got a contract? Yeah, isn't isn't
wrestling enough school for me? As it is?

Speaker 1 (24:25):
Worst is when like teachers will be like, you know
how many sports athletes actually make it? Yeah? Yeah, lady.
Like I had one teacher who like, because most of
my teachers know like my background. So the one teacher
was like, well, it's different for you. Like I didn't

(24:46):
say anything, but in my head, I was like, no,
it really isn't.

Speaker 2 (24:49):
Like you might have to work harder because you have.

Speaker 1 (24:52):
It's still a sports like Natty still talks. Natty talks
about it a lot where like everybody thinks, oh, she's
a hard she's got contract to me, like she has
continuous said in her book she talked about it.

Speaker 2 (25:07):
I read it.

Speaker 1 (25:07):
Yeah, yes, in her book she talks about how like
she had to work very hard to actually even get it,
like w to look at her. Yeah, and it's and
to think about that is crazy because Naddy like comes
from the heart family, so you think, oh, she gets

(25:30):
contract right away, which is not the case. So it's
it's weird to me when people will be like, oh,
it's different for you.

Speaker 2 (25:38):
But society has a bad habit of looking at the
success stories but not looking at the non successful stories.
And there's a lot of second generation wrestlers that also
like didn't make it because they didn't have like, but
we don't hear about those more. You just hear about
the ones that did. You hear about the Natties and
the Charlotte's and the Randy's and the Kobe's. But even

(26:00):
Cody had to leave and come back, and you know,
like everybody has. It's not it's not doesn't meant it
any easier it Honestly, sometimes it makes it harder because
they have higher expectations, higher expectations of you think you're
supposed to get it faster, you know what I mean.
There's all these things that they expected me that they
might not expect from someone that's not we got a guest, especially,
we got to run in.

Speaker 1 (26:24):
This is Telly's my new puppies turning here in like
a couple of weeks.

Speaker 2 (26:31):
Yeah, that's awesome. No, that's okay, it's fine. I don't
mind it. This is casual conversations. Be casual, relax, take
it easy. Okay, I'm not a I'm not a serious broadcaster.
Trust me.

Speaker 3 (26:43):

Speaker 2 (27:25):
Speaking about Cody, he's kind of a mentor to you. Yeah,
how's your relationship to Cody? Like, you know, he's he
seems to always be looking out if he's one of
your dad's final greatest rivals. And then yeah, but also
it was like, you know, he kind of seems like
he trusted you as much as he can for you.
How's your relationship with Cody?

Speaker 1 (27:41):
Very good? Very good? It's one of my favorite stories.
And I call him, I call him.

Speaker 2 (27:48):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (27:49):
I was at you know, Fanatics fist. Yeah, I've been
both of those with him. Actually. Uh. And we're at
Fanatics Us the second one and this past one actually,
and we're in the golf cart and the guy turns
around and he's like, oh, I loved your grandpa. Confused,

(28:09):
he's like, Cody's like, oh no, this isn't my son,
and I'm like, oh shoot, like and and the guy said, oh, oh,
he's just structured. And he's like, wait then wants he
to you? And I was like, oh, you're like an
uncle to me. And Cody just go yells as loud
as poss He's like unk. So yeah, so I called him.

(28:31):
I called him uncle a couple of times, so.

Speaker 2 (28:35):
Yeah, that's awesome. No, he's he probably got a second
was like, why can't I be a big brother, and
then did the calculation. Yeah, unk, Yeah. Yeah. If I'm
gonna be an uncle, I'm gonna be a cool I'm
gonna be.

Speaker 1 (28:46):
Un Yeah, but it's very good. Like he talked about
it the other day. But when I was at Liberty's
birthday party this past run, uh I heard I was,
I like, whispers about Cody having another baby. Yeah, there,

(29:07):
And I was like, no, they're probably just like talking
about it. And I'm like after the party, like five probably,
he's like, hey, we'll be give me and Brandy talk
to you for a second. I'm like, oh, like, what
are they gonna talk to me about? And they pull

(29:28):
me in and they're like dining room, I think, and
they asked me if they said we thought about a
lot of people or no. They said, oh, we're having
another baby. And I thought that was it. I thought,
and I was like, oh, very happy for you guys.
And I like go to get up and he's like, wait,
one more thing, and I was like oh, shoot, sit back, dad.

(29:51):
He's like, and I had no idea, like I heard baby,
but he's like, we were thinking, would you like to
be the Godfather? And I started crying because I was like,
this is like crazy, Like you helped me through all
the stuff, my dad, and now I'm the godfather of
your new baby is so that's to me. It was

(30:14):
like a very nice moment. So I'm very excited about that.

Speaker 2 (30:19):
Yeah. I saw the clip where he said that you
asked if you need to watch.

Speaker 1 (30:24):
Yeah, that's a real conversation.

Speaker 2 (30:26):
I asked to have you watched The Godfather yet? Yeah? Yeah,
I expect you to talk to this baby like the
Godfather every time you see it.

Speaker 1 (30:39):
I want to do something when I meet her, Like
I'm holding her maybe in another in my other hand,
I'm holding like a pen and no paper and I'm
watching The Godfather.

Speaker 2 (30:52):
Yeah, that would be a great that'd be a great
social media polls right there. Yeah, holding the baby and
it's the Godfather title on this like the movies about it,
It's gonna happen. So that's awesome. That's great. Yeah, they're
not there's nothing in common between the two, but it's great.

(31:12):
I mean, if you want. If you don't want to
wrestle Maxley and the Death Matter and you don want
to become a godfather, that's a whole Diven line of
work where you can do it.

Speaker 1 (31:20):
He made me sound bad though, because I asked, is
the Godfather? Should I watch your Godfather to be a
good godfather? I asked, you Godfather a good movie? And
he said he said, yes, it won't help you with
your godfather abilities, which I'm not gonna tell him this,

(31:41):
but that was my follow up question.

Speaker 2 (31:43):
Yeah, okay, well maybe you'll see a clip from this.
Who knows.

Speaker 1 (31:49):
That was good follow up question?

Speaker 2 (31:51):
Yeah, yeah, that's awesome.

Speaker 1 (31:54):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (31:56):
You you got to be part of Joey Janella was
Cluster Battle Royal. I won't say the other word because
your mom's around, but you you got to be part
of it. You were the last entrance, big surprise entrance.
And not only that, you eliminated Joey Janella the newstake
of the event. How was that experience when you when'd

(32:18):
you find out that you're doing that?

Speaker 1 (32:19):
So? Uh, de Reese talked about the follow him up.
So I'm sitting in the sweet a resume of forty
one with all Cody's family and I'm sitting with Chris by.
I'm talking Chris Baye. My mom comes up and she's like, hey,
there's a fan and I'm like, I'm in the middle

(32:40):
of a conversation with Chris bay which I Chris Bae
will follow up, and I'm in a minute. I've become
very close with him as well, but I'm sitting there
and talking with him old fans. I tell her, I said,
I don't want to see any fans right now, like
I'll see him when I go out there, but I'm
not gonna stop this. She's like try me, please, please,

(33:01):
Like okay, fine, I'm not hot, pissed my stuff down,
walk out, and the res comes out of the corner.
I'm like, oh shoot, So I give him a hug
or talking. He's like, oh, I'm like, what are you
doing tonight? And he's like, oh, I'm doing the GCW
cluster him and I was my mom made a joke
and she's like, oh, that'd be cool if Brody was

(33:21):
in it, and like he laughed and she I'm like
cana and there was like, oh, shoot, you're being serious
and we were like yeah. So he hits up Brent Brett, Yeah, yep,
and he's and Brett's like all in for it. Should

(33:42):
we get there. I'm just thinking, like I'm made, just
gonna surprise appearance, and they're eliminate made right. So I
get there and meanwhile this is like I get there
and I go to take a photo and like move over.
Doors are open, So like that how much? But we
had a lot of time because of that thing was

(34:04):
like two hours long. So but go back and Joey's
like if Joey the Joey Danella piece of shit. But
I was like, okay, we don't got a winner. You
want to win it? I was like huh. I was

(34:24):
like yeah, I mean like sure. I thought I was
just gonna get eliminated. So we go over the thing
and I win it and go back take a photo
of Joey. I wake up the next day and I
was like, oh, what do you think about it? I said,
I hate it? Yeah, and she's like what do you mean?

(34:45):
And I was like, I watched it back, I hate it.
I think it sucked. She's like what, like what do
you mean? And I was like, I told you, like
I thought it sucked. And she's like, oh, you're definitely
gonna be a wrestler.

Speaker 2 (34:59):
Yeah, overly critical of yourself.

Speaker 1 (35:02):
Yes, I genuinely hate it for a while. Like it
took me. It took me till will Osprey said like
it was really good.

Speaker 2 (35:11):
Okay, well let me ask me really quickly. Then what
was it that you hated about it so much?

Speaker 1 (35:18):
Uh?

Speaker 2 (35:19):
I don't.

Speaker 1 (35:21):
I think it was mostly just because for me the
size difference. I just to me, I was like, damn,
I look so small, like yeah, and like to me,
I was like, oh, this is disappointing, like I could
have done this better and this better, like I messed
this up. Like there was one spot where I luckily

(35:41):
I recovered, but when I went for the roll through
and I went to the wrong leg, Yeah, that I
was super buss about that. But I'm not mad about
it now because because obviously all these people said it

(36:02):
was so good, but that that was really cool for me.

Speaker 2 (36:08):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (36:09):
Yeah, And you're like, what I liked, Uh the g
c W thing I did recently?

Speaker 2 (36:16):
What did you do most recently?

Speaker 1 (36:18):
I did a where were we at? I forgot where
we were exactly? Oh all in okay, so we get
there and I'm just I just want to go chill,
say hi everybody at the GCW event. So my mom
takes me. I'm just chilling, I see, say what's up?

(36:41):
And Joey said, hey, we got a whole spot for you.
I was like, oh what, like what? So he tells
me the whole thing and I was like, okay, cool, cool, cool,
and we do all the spots. After he's like, okay,
we're just gonna shake hands. And after we did all that,
sho shook hands. But I took like a bump. It
was easy, like he just like splashed me in the

(37:03):
corner and easy. But the crowd turned on him. So
I shake his hand. Crowds boo him, and he's like
he's like, low blow me. So I low blow him.
And I don't know why or what in my head
I thought it would be a good idea, but I
stuffed him. Yeah, Like I was like, oh, I'll go

(37:26):
for a pile driver. Yeah, and like I looking back
and I was like, I can't do a pile driver.
My brother like safely, yeah, Janella. So luckily he just
like if you watch the video, like, I go for it,
but I'm like, I don't know how I'm gonna do this.

(37:48):
So he just backflips and I do a Canadian destroyer. Yeah,
and I was like I don't remember, Like I was
so like shocked when I was in there. I was
like what the got But I was like so pumped,
like thank God for Joey to do that, but I
don't even know what I would have done.

Speaker 2 (38:09):
That's crazy. Yeah it worked out though, Yeah, it worked
out very good. I even find that cup. I didn't
see that one, that's nuts.

Speaker 1 (38:19):
Later.

Speaker 2 (38:20):
No, I definitely checked that out. I did watch the
Cluster one because I remember watching that, but uh, that's
that's I need to see this most recent one. What
were you gonna say about Chris Ma? How's your relationship
with Chris May? How did you gets He's a He's
another great dude. I've always had great conversations him. Tell
me about you and Chris so I and.

Speaker 1 (38:40):
I told him that. He's like, yeah, but I din't
know a lot about him before, Like I knew of him,
but very little, Like I knew he was inn that's
how much I have. Yeah, and then he got injured
and I remember hearing all this stuff and I was like, what, like,

(39:00):
what's going on? So I did some I did some
research and asked like other people, and I found out
the whole story, and I at WrestleMania, actually I knew
of him and he knew of me. At WrestleMania, we
had a group chat of everybody in the suite and
I took his numbers of time and I said, hey, man,
like super said to meet you, like I've become a

(39:24):
big fan of yours. And he's like, oh, very excited
to meet you. And that whole weekend we like instantly bombited,
like we had a bunch of conversations and everything, and
so that one, like, to me, he's become prior one
of the closest friends I've had in the business.

Speaker 2 (39:44):
That's awesome. Yeah, he's great and like honestly's so talented
even with like music and everything else.

Speaker 1 (39:49):
That oh, yeah, it's great.

Speaker 2 (39:52):
And every time I've talked to him since the injury,
and like even watching the interviews and stuff, just super positive,
always grateful for everything that's going on in life. Those
are the good, Those are the best people to be around.

Speaker 1 (40:02):
Yeah, that to me was so crazy, that yeah, if
if I broke my neck, I would be so down.
And he said, honestly, he said, he's like, honestly I
was really down, but then he's like I realized I
was alive. Yes, he stood out a lot because to
like to make a comeback like that, and he's still grateful,

(40:27):
not just for the comeback, but for everything else that
that was really special to me and crazy.

Speaker 2 (40:35):
He's just he's just grateful to be alive, be able
to like just like it really puts life in perspective
of like, you know, things could always be worse. And
he's a great dude. Uh do you still have that
t T Championship that was gifted to you? I do.

Speaker 1 (40:50):

the original original.

Speaker 2 (43:08):
One that wow. Yeah yeah, yeah, that's awesome.

Speaker 1 (43:14):
I got pieces of that. But yeah, that's the this
is it.

Speaker 2 (43:19):
That's dope. What was it like saying your first Action
figure of yourself?

Speaker 1 (43:23):
That to me was crazy because I always dreamed about that.

Speaker 2 (43:26):
Yeah. I think that has no people dream about that.
They don't get it till they like in their twenties
or thirties. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (43:33):
Yeah, to me, I was freaking crazy.

Speaker 2 (43:36):
Yeah, I was still.

Speaker 1 (43:39):
Younger. I was like ten, yeah, like have the action
figure maybe eleven, But to have that, I was like, wow,
that's crazy. I brought this. I brought to school. Yeah,
like the next like next time I was at school,
I brough up there, But yeah, that was really cool.

Speaker 2 (43:57):
What what do the other kids think about your life?
What you're doing trying to wrestle. You're on the road
with these people. Are anybody that you know also wrestling fans?
Are they?

Speaker 1 (44:08):
Like there's one that I become really good friends with,
not just because of wrestling, just because he goes in school.

Speaker 2 (44:15):
Yeah, but he's one of them.

Speaker 1 (44:17):
Uh, and like not a lot of them are wrestling fans,
Like the one like was crazy, he was like going
crazy because he didn't know that I knew Cody. And yeah,
the biggest one was when I was like, oh yeah
I got a photo with John Cena. A bunch of
people went crazy about that. Yeah, They're like, wow, that's

(44:41):
so cool, Like how do you do that?

Speaker 3 (44:43):
Man?

Speaker 1 (44:44):
I just got I just got Selphie.

Speaker 2 (44:46):
Yeah yeah you know, are you a John Cena fan?
And you said that he's retiring?

Speaker 1 (44:51):
Uh? Yeah, it's like crazy to think about, like how
there's only two more dates?

Speaker 2 (45:01):
It's nuts, right because I'm not even the biggest seen
a fan and I'm seeing like, wow, there's only two
more dates, Like it's kind of sad. Yeah, yeah, what
would he have been? Someone that would have been a
dream match for you.

Speaker 1 (45:15):
Uh yeah, yeah, oh yeah, Like obviously it won't happen
because I truly believe, Like I don't believe a lot
of wrestlers when they say.

Speaker 2 (45:25):
They're gonna retire.

Speaker 1 (45:27):
Yeah, yeah, they're gonna retire. But I truly believe that
he's gonna retire.

Speaker 2 (45:31):
So I do too. I feel like he's he's a
type to be a man of his word. He wouldn't
do it unless he meant it. Yeah, But that being said,
you know, we've seen dream matches happen. Who are some
of your dream matches? When you get that eighteen years
olden years old? Were like like five people, You're already
a step in the ring.

Speaker 1 (45:51):
Worth what we'll go, Cody, Yeah, I know it's gonna
happen one day. Chris, Okay, you've seen the video. He's training.
He's gonna come back. I swear on everything. I love
that that man will come back to wrestling. Okayon Slater,
all right, Oh, let's see man like the Reese. All right,

(46:15):
let's see one more. I'm trying to think, uh.

Speaker 2 (46:24):
Will aspre alright, alright, Okay, that's wild. That's a wild
the one that I feel like you got to catch
you with Cody, but the rest of my will all
still be wrestling while you're wrestling.

Speaker 1 (46:38):
Uh, there's something that I will, something will happen where
Cody will retire and I will.

Speaker 2 (46:48):
Bring him back be it. Oh, okay, I will.

Speaker 1 (46:53):
I will do my best to retire Cody Roads. That's
all I'm gonna say.

Speaker 2 (46:59):
Well, I hope people clip this years from now and
they start their little as they may with you saying this,
and then next thing you know, it's just in video packages.
I wish, I wish I were a better outfit. I
wish no I I heye, I'm gonna I'm gonna remember this.

(47:20):
I'm gonna make a mental note. I want to see
you retire Cody Roads. Uh. I think that would be
that would be a cool force. Like who else should?
I don't know. I don't know who else should?

Speaker 1 (47:33):
I've one things through my head. That's just when I
think of myself during that run with Cody, I think
of myself as Anakin Skotwalk.

Speaker 2 (47:45):
Yeah, but instead of him being like you are the
chosen One, he's gonna be like you were the Godfather.

Speaker 1 (47:51):
Yeah. That's all I'm gonna say. Because there's many meanings
to that all right?

Speaker 2 (47:57):
All right, yeah, I know you what else I b yeah,
we just do. I'm intrigued.

Speaker 1 (48:04):
Was the real.

Speaker 2 (48:07):
Oh wow, the Blood Brothers.

Speaker 1 (48:11):
So if you look real closely, here this says my name.

Speaker 2 (48:17):
Oh that's awesome.

Speaker 1 (48:18):
Oh d e and he requested that. And then on
the other side where here it is, uh, it's my
brother's name, and oh wait and oh l a n
that's awesome. Yeah, so there it is. This is hand carbon.
This is a real wood like, uh, I use my

(48:38):
phone real quick.

Speaker 2 (48:41):
That's so cool. I was there was that a WrestleMania
when they squashed the New Day. I was at Summer Squashed.
It was the New Day.

Speaker 1 (48:49):
Uh, whoso is in the Blood and Brothers for the
tag titles.

Speaker 2 (48:53):
But it was short.

Speaker 1 (48:55):
Huh.

Speaker 2 (48:55):
It was short.

Speaker 1 (48:57):
It was like fifteen minutes.

Speaker 2 (49:00):
Okay, maybe it wasn't that match, but I was at
a match that was short. But I was at wrestling
yet thirty four too, I wasn't.

Speaker 1 (49:05):
Yeah yeah, that's one of my favorites, not my ultimate favorite.

Speaker 2 (49:09):
Yeah yeah. Well, uh let me ask you then, like
what like, give me what is your what is your
favorite match of all time?

Speaker 1 (49:15):
Now that you bring my favorite match of all time
was the opening match, like to the real show Russell
Many A thirty one, and it was out a match
for the intercontal champion. It was my dad, starred us
Our Truth, Danielson, DoLS Zig Learn, Wayne Barrett, and Dean Ambrose,

(49:36):
and that to me, it's just because all like it
was really good and like, uh oh, my favorite favorites
in there, Cody Dalelson, my Danilson, my favorite wrestler of
all time, and uh my dad and obviously Nick Neavith.

Speaker 2 (49:56):
Yeah, but yeah, that was a banger. That a great match.
That was a WrestleMania that everyone went into underwhelmed because
like the build up wasn't great and the show was
like the best wrestling show.

Speaker 1 (50:07):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, Sting was a good match. It just.

Speaker 2 (50:13):
Nod. I'm like, it was a good match, and I
was a kid that grew up in the nineties. It
was a great match. I just think the wrong guy won. Great.

Speaker 1 (50:20):
Yeah, not good, but every that's looks at. I watched
that match with Cody with a couple other people on
the bus, and I remember midway through the match, Cody's like, well,
this match is a banger, Like.

Speaker 2 (50:36):
What if even the nostalgia pop so the nw O
and d X and all of it was great. I
just think the wrong I just think the wrong guy won,
but everything else was great. It was a great match. Uh,
how did you how how was the meeting sting for you?
Because he's I just met him recently and he was great.

Speaker 1 (50:52):
But yeah, it's I haven't the decent relationships thing. Like,
I'm not just say great because I don't know him
like as well. But I definitely there's a moment after
the tribute show and I'm to keep this for me,
but there's a moment after the tribute show where he

(51:14):
said something to man, it met a lot to me,
and I told him after after his final match about it,
and he he said that he remembered it, and it's
very it's a very special moment that I keep in
my heart.

Speaker 2 (51:31):
That's awesome. Yeah, and it's cool that you had it
with him. Yeah, you said Danielson's your favorite wrestler of
all time. Yes, and he is also there every week
all the time. Now, how is it being around Danielsen?
Do you ever get to pick his brain? He's a
I've spent hours talking to this man about the most
random things. I have nothing to do with wrestling. We've

(51:52):
talked about ants and space, we've talked about we start
talking about wrestling and it goes somewhere totally different. And
then because you know, I'm like, oh and I was
gonna be and we have not we don't even know
what we're doing for this live interview that we're doing.

Speaker 1 (52:07):
For you. It's weird because like I'll be like, oh, yeah,
I gotta pick these people's brains, and then I'll be
backstage fighting doctor Dante Martin in a locker room, and
then like the show will be over. Like when we
have lake Lan's, there's a there's a basketball like hoop.

(52:28):
It's very like down here, but like me and Lee
Moriarty was were hooping for like an hour like we
were doing Yeah, we were just playing the game. And
uh so like that will happen where I'll be like,
oh yeah, I got to pick this person's mind and
I'll just like do stuff like that. So like but

(52:50):
like I'm just saying out, yeah.

Speaker 2 (52:53):
You're already contracted for a contract. If you want a
contract to fight Moxley, You're you're set. Yeah, hypothetically, just
for fun, we're gonna throw it out there. You have
to go into a war games of blood and guts.
You have to take. You got to take your team
of four. So if you plus four other people, right,
so you plus four of the people, you're in the map.

(53:14):
So you're leading this question. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (53:17):
So first my manager is gonna be Ricky Starks. All Right,
big guys, big guys here, we're gonna go Will Hobbs,
Bronson Reid, Yeah, bron Breaker, and Carmelo is. Oh okay,
you're asked, why is Carmelo on there? You have my mind, Mellow,

(53:37):
don't miss that's all I say.

Speaker 2 (53:40):
That's a stack team. Yeah, Bronson, Reid, bron Breaker, and
Will Hobbs. You can't even that's big media man slapping me.
And then you have Carmelo and yourself in there, you
and Mellow just working game. I get it. I get it.

Speaker 1 (53:56):
We're playing, we're playing basketball, back stage.

Speaker 2 (54:00):
Work. We're just we're just we're going what you're called. Uh,
let me ask you this then if you like who
who would you say are your top five favorite wrestler
of all times?

Speaker 1 (54:13):
So yeah, Brian, oh, Brian Yson, Cody Rose, my dad.
I'm wanna leave my dad because that's hard. I'm gonna
put I don't know honestly.

Speaker 2 (54:37):
So you have Cody Roads, Brian Danielson.

Speaker 1 (54:40):
I never thought of like a top five of all time.

Speaker 2 (54:45):
I've had the same one for so many years, and
it's so hard for me to put newer people in
it because I'm older. My I'm older that it's literally
we'll ask for a gun th Okay, that's four and
give me one more. We'll lost by gun there, Cody Roads, fine, Takeshasha, Okay,

(55:08):
I like to you know, I'm actually looking forward to
to qust Occada match because Takesha reminds me of what
o'cada was like fifteen years ago, like that guy that
was the next Ace and he's just been killing that. Wow,
I'm gonna tell Biggy you didn't put him in there.
Health's crazy.

Speaker 1 (55:27):
And people have called onto this with I'm not gonna
name names, but people have called onto this with someone
very close to me. But I'm I'm just gonna change
my answer every time someone asked, that's a good strategy
going on to it with like I said, someone who
I know, I'm not going to name names, but people

(55:50):
edit that out.

Speaker 2 (55:51):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (55:52):
People have call on to him, but he said he
doesn't have like a specific top five, So yeah, Paine
shit every time.

Speaker 2 (56:03):
Yeah, well, it's like because most presslers, because he does
it on his show too, where he hasked the Mount
Rushmore thing, and I'm like, it's hard, especially the Mount
Rushmore thing because Mount Rushmore and my favorites are too
totally Mount Rushmore. Am I being objective here? Because then
it's different. If I'm saying my personal then it's different. Yeah,
and it's no. And I'm like, now I've been around
for so long that like I've had my top five

(56:25):
from like when I was a kid with to so
many new wrestlers that I like, like I do like Cody,
and I do like.

Speaker 1 (56:30):
And I do like I can't like right now my
favorite wrestlers, but like all time that's different.

Speaker 2 (56:39):
Yeah, like all time, I can tell you. But it's
hard because it's like I just the so many wrestlers
that I like today that eventually I'm gonna have to
be like, oh man, they've been like sometimes I think
about I'm like, oh, like even like a Cody, what're
you using for example, I think he's technically been around
since like two thousand and nine. For me, now ten
that's that's like fifteen years like he's technically an older wrestler.

(57:02):
You should you shouldn't want I don't know who've done you,
but you should dress up like Stardust, one of these halloweens.

Speaker 1 (57:08):
No, that's that's Kellen. That's okay, all right.

Speaker 2 (57:14):
What was I gonna say? Has your brother had any
interest in wrestling yet?

Speaker 1 (57:18):
No? He wants to be a video game ninja, scientists something.

Speaker 2 (57:30):
All right, Well, can't wait to see him.

Speaker 1 (57:33):
Who's a ninja who's also scientist? Who also I think
it's like a police officer or.

Speaker 2 (57:40):
Something, and we have him all these crazy things to
one of a very common jobs.

Speaker 1 (57:44):
But yeah, I mean, but I'm moving for him. When
he makes a billion dollars, he's gonna give me one
dollar for every time I'm nice to him.

Speaker 2 (57:56):
Oh wow, look at that. You're gonna have a whole dollar.
You're gonna have one whole dollar. Yea, I was joking.
We're gonna wrap this up in debt.

Speaker 1 (58:07):
Pardon I'm gonna be in debt.

Speaker 2 (58:09):
Yeah you are by the end of it. We'll wrap
this up. Last a couple of questions. One thing that
you can share it is obviously a lot of it's personal,
So I don't want you to share any personal stuff,
but one thing that you can share that you think
that anyone listened to this and might help them too.
Something you learned from your dad and you've taken from
your dad. One thing you can share, uh, that you've
learned from your dad that might help other people, like

(58:31):
a life lesson, a way to act. Anything I would say,
like for.

Speaker 1 (58:35):
My dad is like, don't stop working just because you
think it's over. Like, yeah, my dad when he found
out he was pregnant, when my mom was pregnant with him,
he said like, oh, I'm basically done because he did
that Dragon Gate run and he's like, oh, this is it.
W W is gonna hire me right after this, and
then they didn't get back to them, so it's like, oh,

(58:56):
this is it. And I think he said that he
was going to retire for messing after he had me
and while I was like being born or like right
after I've been born, he said the story you can
look it up on YouTube or something. But he got
the call from John Lorenidis that said, hey, we're interested
in you, and then I got signed and yeah, so
like just don't give up, like it's maybe the time

(59:21):
isn't now Like like I said, like my dad did
that Dragon game run, He's like, Oh, this is this
is it. Don't don't tell yourself that that time is it,
because you don't know if it's gonna be. Like I've
seen people who will say, oh, this is my time
and it is their time. But I've also seen people
like my dad will say, oh, this is my time

(59:42):
right here, and it's not. Maybe it's a later time
where honestly, maybe it just doesn't happen. But you still, like,
you don't give up just because it doesn't happen one time,
or it doesn't.

Speaker 2 (59:53):
Happen to what you think. Will you imagine it's gonna happen.
Not everything happens exactly the way you think. It's great
to have a plan. Yeah, you don't always go as planned,
but it doesn't mean you take yourself out of the game.

Speaker 1 (01:00:05):
Yeah. I have a plan that I think will be
perfect for me. But if obviously, if that doesn't happen,
I have a plan b Yeah. In in the wrestling world,
I everybody's like, oh, you gotta have a plan for
when you're if you don't make it wrestling, and I'm like, oh, yeah,

(01:00:26):
I will I don't. I'll probably like a coach in
wrestling something with it.

Speaker 2 (01:00:31):
You'll be working at the dungeon. Yeah, when they finally
open their school. Yeah. Not all being said, though, we'll
obviously going to do this again one day in the future.
Already know if I'm still if I'm still kicking around
doing this, you're gonna be back on. Usually I ask
people at the end, like, how do you do You
feel like you made your younger self proud? But I
think you're still in the process of doing that. I

(01:00:53):
think you're still working on it. I feel like if
you could talk to your younger self, you would give
them some wisdom that you've learned your day.

Speaker 1 (01:01:02):
I'd trobably just say, like watch more sports, because that
sounds weird. But like after my dad dad, like it
was weird for me to watch sports because I wasn't
my dad was super big in sports. So like I've
recently gotten really into it, like baseball, back ball, really

(01:01:22):
into right now, and I've always stayed with hockey, but
like it's hard for me to get into it when
like nobody's watching me, my mom and like like they
mostly like hockey like me.

Speaker 2 (01:01:38):
But yeah, no, it's it's hard. That was your connection
with your dad and now he's not around it. It
takes some time. I lost my dad a couple of
years ago. I used to watch the Indian Bollywood movies
with them, so it took me a while. I'm gonna
watch them without him because otherwise I don't really watch him.
But the one time I met your dad, I can't
remember specifically if it was a shirt or just a hat,

(01:02:02):
but I think he would wear a shirt. The one
time I met him was at a Wallemnia and he
was wearing a Toronto maple leaves either shirt a hat.

Speaker 1 (01:02:10):
Oh yeah, yeah, very passionate Toronto maple leice fan.

Speaker 2 (01:02:16):
Yeah, I have a picture from there too. I just
I don't remember if it was just a hat or
if it was a shirt too.

Speaker 1 (01:02:20):
It's shirt because in the picture he's wearing a different hat.
He had a very beat up Toronto Maplea's hat that
he wore just for regular But yeah, I think you
wore a special hat. But yeah, we're super passionate about
the Toronto maples.

Speaker 2 (01:02:36):
Yeah that's all I remember, because we talked about that
for like two minutes. I was like a Toronto fan.
I'm like throwing off of Vancouver is just as hard
to being a Vancouver final. Least guys actually one Cups
back in the day. But oh yeah, but Vancouver's never
won a cup. We've never won a cup. Yeah, sure,
at least Toronto's one Cups.

Speaker 1 (01:02:57):
We need to start winning a cup now. No, no, no.
I talked to a Edging Christian about it a lot.
I talked about like just about Toronto. So that's that's
really cool to me because like those are.

Speaker 2 (01:03:09):
People that I.

Speaker 1 (01:03:11):
Watch him as much as a fan.

Speaker 2 (01:03:13):
Be yeah, like later I did, oh yeah, because they
I guess Edges were tired by that point.

Speaker 1 (01:03:19):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, and Christian was They were doing that
edgend Christian show, so about that and that was funny.
But like, no, analyst be like, wow, I'm talking to
Edge about the Toronto mapleas about the Toronto Maple is crazy?

Speaker 2 (01:03:34):
No, no, no, for sure, yeah no, I huh so
enough to cut you on.

Speaker 1 (01:03:39):
There's a crazy photo of when they it was. I
forgot when I was, but it was Toronto versus Tampa
and we were there and my aunt came in from
from work and I was like, hey, you want to
get tickets for this We're all like yeah, and we're
going to our seats or I think we're going to

(01:04:00):
get food maybe, and we're walking at the Adam like
walk by me. It's like he's like running high, step
ahead out and he turned around. He's like, oh, what's
not like And we ended up going to their suite
and I watched the game sitting next to Edie Christian
and they won. The Toronto won and it was crazy.

Speaker 2 (01:04:23):
He was wearing a Toronto Believes zip up jacket. That's
what it was. That's when I saw him. That when
I met him, Okay, I have to look it up.
I think I have to know otherse I feel dumb.
He was one of the zip and he was wearing
a different hat. It was a yeah, it's a different
green and black hat, but that that was the that
was the zip up. That's what I remember. Yeah, yeah,

(01:04:43):
that's crazy.

Speaker 1 (01:04:44):
That was crazy to me too. I was wearing like
this crazy Toronto out that I had Toronto like. It
was a bunch of Toronto logos put jama pants and
I think it was Austin Matthews, uh Toronto jersey yeah
hat And I watched the game with them, and that's
to me that was crazy that I was watching the

(01:05:06):
Toronto win with Edie Christian.

Speaker 2 (01:05:09):
Yeah, and the Toronto Boys born there. They love it.
That's awesome, you know, it's it's it's cool to know
what you're doing. Man. I'm looking forward to seeing you
and what you decide to do at eighteen. I'm looking
forward to seeing you wrestle walk in a death match
at nineteen. I'm looking forward to see you retire Cody
Worlds at the age of twenty.

Speaker 1 (01:05:30):
Thank you.

Speaker 2 (01:05:30):
I know I am hyping you up. And I hope
that when you retire Cody Rolls, I come to that
whatever show it is and whatever company, and I watch
it because I will be entertained. This is great, this
is fun. We'll definitely do this again. Yeah, And I
think everything. You have a great mind for this, right

(01:05:51):
the way you were talking about Naddy and TJ and
the people that coming there and train like you can
already tell that you really care about this business and
doing good and like learning and wanting to be part
of it and like making plans for yourself. I'll tell
you this. There's a few people that are I geld,
like two three people that I've known before they ever

(01:06:11):
started wrestling before they ever started taking bumps. That would
tell me about their goals and dreams about want to
be a wrestler, and we would master plan ideas together
and this and that, and both of two of them,
I can say at least ore of the ones that
I used to talk to have been world champions and
companies now and are doing things on TV. And it's

(01:06:32):
like I saw them when they were like eighteen, nineteen,
twenty years old saying they're going to do these things,
and they went out there and they actually did it,
and it's just cool for me to know, like, oh,
I was there when they started and they were thinking
about this, and I was able to be like, go
do it, like you can do it, so for whatever
it's worth, go do it. You can do it. Just
keep doing the thing and like you're gonna rock it.

(01:06:54):
I was at Nick Wayne's first of a match. I
remember he reminded me of that. I had them on
the show and say, justin you are at my first match,
and I was like, oh, yeah, it was because I
used to go to DeFi every month and I remember
when you were just a kid that would come up
to me and say like you love my Instagram page
and then I guess that was at your first match,
and now you're doing all this stuff like you know,
I think you have that same drive and you love

(01:07:14):
it that same way. Yeah, obviously you know, you had
a great dad who was a great wrestler that we
all loved. And I don't even think it's just that.
I think you've learnt to love it yourself, so for yourself,
So that's cool.

Speaker 1 (01:07:26):
Yeah, thank you. A couple of people real quick, all right,
one of my closest friends actually, yeah, I started talking
to a couple of weeks ago. That's awesome, just shouting
out real quick.

Speaker 2 (01:07:44):
And Ariel is the man, great guy. Yeah, we've talked
him out of that class. I've talked to him, Cam,
the guy that was Cam's Kai Cam's partner at the time. Yeah,
so I talked to him. Those are the three that
talked to me from there, all thought of like Russa's

(01:08:05):
that are in the bigger companies, I know what, from
the actual rustlers that a student sale. Those are the
three of talktica. Yeah, no, thank you, and we'll talk soon.
Keep doing thinking heading up if you ever need anything,
if I can help them anything or promote anything, yes,
I WoT you. Sounds good, so yeah. Thanks. Time to
say good night.

Speaker 1 (01:08:24):
We sincerely appreciate your patronage and hope we've succeeded in
