" How Are You Handling Your Midnight? "

Truly, I do your honor to God, who is the
head of my life, to my leaders, to each and
every one of you that are here on tonight. I
thank God for just being God and being God all
by himself. We want to thank you that are listening
through whatever social media platform you joined us by. We
appreciate you on tonight. Just pray that the Lord would
just bless you in a special way. Heymen, we are

not going to prolong the time tonight. We had a
good word on this morning. This is today. This is
the day that the Lord hath made it. And guess
what this still today? Hallelujah, because it's not over yet.
And as the song says, God is not through blessing me.
It said blessing you, But I'm gonna say He's not

through blessing me. You can get in on that as well.
We're gonna be coming from the Book of Acts on tonight,
the Book of Acts, the sixteenth chapter, and we're gonna
be reading verse twenty five through twenty seven. Again, that's

Act sixteen, verse twenty five through twenty seven, a very
familiar passage of scripture, and I must say, a powerful
passage of scripture.

It blesses me every time I read it.

Speaker 2 (01:26):
Amen, the Lord, the Word of God is alive, and
I thank God that it's alive. Hallelujah. Not only that,
he said, the Word is settled in heaven. And I
appreciate the Lord for that. Act sixteen, verse twenty five
through twenty seven. And at midnight, Paul and Silace prayed

and saying, praise this unto God, and the prisoners heard them,
and suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the
foundations of the prison were shaken. Immediately, all the doors
were open, and everyone's bands were loosed. And the keeper
of the prison, awakening out of his sleep and seeing

the prison doors open, he drew out his sword and
would have killed himself, supposing that the prisoners had been fleding.

You know what, go ahead, just read down to thirty
for just good messire.

Speaker 2 (02:22):
But Paul cried with a loud voice, saying, do thyself
no harm, for we are all here. Then he called
for a light and sprang in and came trembling and
fell down before Paul in silence, and brought them out
and said, sirs, what must I.

Do to be saved?

Speaker 2 (02:42):
A man made the Lord at a blessing to the
reading of his word on tonight, but most of all
to the doors of his word, because the word tells
us to be ye doers, and not just here is only.

But be ye doers of the Word.

I'm gonna go ahead and give you mom thought on
tonight night, the thought the.

Lord gave me.

It actually comes from the twenty fifth verse word.

It says.

And at midnight, Paul and Silace prayed and saying, praises
unto God. I want you to look to your neighbor,
because my topic is in the form of a question,
and just say, neighbor, neighbor, how do you handle.

Your midnight?

Speaker 2 (03:27):
Neighbor, how do you stress that you? How do you
handle your midnight?

Speaker 1 (03:41):
Glory to God.

Speaker 2 (03:42):
We see in the world of God how Paul and
Silace handled their midnight.

Speaker 1 (03:47):
Some background on what was going on.

Speaker 2 (03:48):
Paul and Silace had been going from different places establishing churches,
and Paul desired to go somewhere else, but the Holy
Ghost told him, no, don't go preach and asia God
had somewhere else for Paul to be. Paul was supposed
to be in this particular spot at this particular time,
and when they were getting ready to go to prayer.

(04:10):
Every time they were getting ready to go to prayer,
they had this damsel which had a spirit of divination,
and she would just be coming behind them, saying, these
be the these men be the servants of the Most
High God, would show to us the way of salvation.
And she did it every time they went, and it
says that it grieved Paul. So Paul got tired. In Paul,

he cast that demon out. He told the devil, he
commanded this devil to come out of her. And the
scripture said, and he came out. The spirit was a
he coming out of her. So now this spirit has
been cast out, so she can't make her masters any

money because they were making money off of her. They
were profiting off of her because the South saying. So
they got mad and they took Paul in Silace before
the magistrate and saying, these men are teaching customs which
are not lawful. So they made up a false accusation.
And because of the false accusation, Paul and Silace.

Had been beaten and thrown into prison.

Speaker 2 (05:18):
And all they were doing was just preaching the word
of God, the unadulterated word of God. So I want
you to know that some trouble is going to come
in your life when you live for God. See a
lot of people think that when you get on the
Lord's side. I'm on the Lord's side, makes me mighty glad.
But I want you to know that you are going
to go through some things. You are going to have

some trials and tribulations in your life, and they just
may come upon you just because you are doing the
will of God. I want you to know the enemy
don't like it when you do something for God. He
is going to be on your track. Glory to God, hallylujah.
But how do you handle your midnight? See now, Paul

and Silas, they are in prison.

Glory to God. But I was, they're in prison.

Speaker 2 (06:13):
But you know what every time Paul when he wrote
most of the New Testament, the New Testament, and when
he wrote, he would always started out a lot of
times saying, our Paul a prisoner.

Of the Lord Jesus, Glory to God.

Speaker 2 (06:26):
But he is actually a prisoner right now because of
preaching the word of God.

Speaker 1 (06:34):
But how do you handle your midnight? It said? And
at midnight?

Speaker 2 (06:37):
Verse twenty five, Paul and Silace prayed and saying praises
unto God. And it said and the prisoners hurt them.
So they getting ready to go to a prayer, this
woman following them, Glory to God. The things transpired, they

got beaten, they got accused and beaten. So now they're
in prison. Not only are they in prison, but it
said that they put they put their feet in stocks,
some shackles on their feet and they're in stocks.

So you know, this is a.

Speaker 2 (07:14):
Very uncomfortable situation. And sometimes we are gonna find ourselves,
I'm telling you, in some uncomfortable situations. And you live
in for God, and you haven't done anything wrong, because
a lot of times we want to say, why is
this happening to me?

Speaker 1 (07:32):
But the word lets us know that think it not.

Speaker 2 (07:34):
Strange concerning this fiery trial, which yeah, which is to
do what to try you.

Speaker 1 (07:45):
As though some strange thing happened to you?

Speaker 2 (07:47):
Why me, cherrelle, I haven't done anything to anybody, as
we say, I was minding my own business, Glory to God.

Speaker 1 (07:58):
But even in minding your own being.

Business, hallelujah. Is some midnights that are gonna come up
in your life. See midnight is a period of difficulty
in your life. But at midnight, Paul and Silence, they prayed.
See we talked about prayer this morning. Prayer is a

powerful thing. See when you pray that prayer, that's a
communication with God. Some people don't pray until they get
in trouble. They were praying before the trouble came. See,
when you pray before the trouble comes, it's not hard
to continue your praying. Hallelujah. But they prayed, and they

(08:41):
sang songs. I believe the prayer that they prayed well
for God to strengthen them to endure what they were
going through at that moment, because they realized, hallelujah, they
had been with God. They had been walking with the
Lord long enough to know that nothing happens in your
life except the Lord allow it.

Nothing happened.

Speaker 2 (09:04):
So if I'm here, if I'm in this spot, if
I'm in my midnight, then that means God has allowed
it to come upon me, the things that are going
on in my life, the difficulties that I'm going through,
what I'm dealing with, what you're dealing with. God has
allowed it. But how do you handle your midnight? Do

you pray hallelujah. Do you have a song? Everybody should
have a song, everybody should.

Speaker 1 (09:39):
I got a hold. I'm telling you y'all already know.
I got a whole lot of songs. Yes I do.

Speaker 2 (09:47):
Brother Moore was telling me, he said, somebody said, be
singing like that around the house. He said, I told him, yeah,
he said, And I'll be trying to watch TV and
she hav enough nerve to ask me, saying, oh, what
did they say? He said, I'll tell I don't know,
because you were singing. Hear it, he said, he.

Always got to rewind it.

Speaker 2 (10:04):
But I'm telling you I keep a song on my heart,
Glory to God because you never know hallelujah when you
gonna need it.

See prayer and praise.

That's a powerful that's a powerful combination.

Like I said, I believe they prayed for the strength
to endure because see one thing about it, you're gonna
need some strength when you're going through your midnight. Glory
to God, when you don't understand in tears or kissing
under your chin, hallylujah, you are going to need some
strength to make it.

Through what you're going through. Glory to God.

Speaker 2 (10:44):
But you got to realize Hallelujah, the spote that I'm in.
God knows where I'm at. He knows where you are.

But how do you handle your midnight? See?

Some people handle that midnight by throwing pity parties. Glory
to God, midnight pity parties. But I want you to
know that God don't attend pity parties. Glory to God.
He's not listening to those songs Glory to God, Hallelujah.
He ain't listening to those songs because all you're saying
is worries me, Poe is me?

Why me? Nobody knows who you know?

Somebody? I don't know who the trouble I see? Glory

So how do you handle your midnight? See?

Speaker 2 (11:36):
Praising God during difficult times? It demonstrates that you have
faith in God. Not only do you have faith in God.
Because it's so easy to say that we have faith.
It's so easy to say that we have faith. It's
so easy to say that I believe God. Faith and

belief they go hand in hand, but they're two different things.
But you know what, faith ain't faith until you put
it into actions.

Just cause it's coming off of your lips don't mean
his faith. Faith is something that you see. Faith is
something that you act upon. Glory to God, even in
the midst of your midnight hallylujah, Glory to God, hallelujah.

What faith highlights is at heart that is fully committed
to God.

Speaker 2 (12:28):
That's what it does when you're in your midnight and
you saying you trust God and you're acting upon it,
and people can see it because it said when Paul
and Silas prayed and same it said, the prisoner's heard them,
glory to God.

What are your coworkers? What is your family?

Speaker 2 (12:47):
What is everybody hearing coming out of your mouth, halley lujah?
Concerning your midnight?

Speaker 1 (12:55):
Is it murmuring?

Speaker 2 (12:57):
Is it complaining? What's coming out of your mouth? How
are you handling your midnight glory to God? Because see
this thing is personal. Paul inside and see they was
on the same page. See some people, I'm telling you
they will prolong your midnight, halleylujah, because they're not gonna

give you a word of encouragement and they're not gonna
tell you when you sit there and start trying to
have that pity party.

You don't need nobody to join it in.

You need them to tell you, Hey, get up from
here now. No, you don't been here long enough. You
know better. See, people don't like for you to tell
them you know better, but you.

Do know better.

Hallelujah, Glory to God. Sometimes you just gotta give them
that tough love. Even in the house of God, you
gotta tell them. Sometimes they'll tell you that. They may
get mad, but they'll come back and tell you at
the same time after the fact. You know what I
needed that? I needed that. How do you handle your midnight?

Hallelujah? I told you. I believe they prayed for some strength.

Speaker 2 (14:04):
Hallelujah. See, it's easy to praise God when you got
a new house. When God doesn't bless you with a
new house. Oh yeah, you're gonna be on the rooftop.
Oh yeah, you gonna be praising him hallelujah. Yeah, I ain't
nobody gonna have to pomp you. Ain't nobody gonna have
to prime you because guess what, I got my new house.

I'm riding in my new car. I got a new job.
Glory to God. But what happens when you're going through
your midnight. And ain't none of that taking place? Hallelujah?
How do you handle your midnight?

See?

Speaker 2 (14:39):
I believe they pray for strength. I'm always praying for
sprint because God, I need it. I need it. I
can't make it without your God. I can't make it
on this old raggedy strength. I'm telling you hallelujah because
it will fail me every time. But I believe that
when they prayed for strength, I believe that the strength came.

Hallelujah, Glory to God.

Speaker 2 (15:05):
I believe that it came, and not only prayed for strength,
but this is me. I believe when they prayed for strength, hallelujah,
when they were strengthen Hallelujah, they could sing the song,
Brother David, hallelujah. See one thing about it? We might
you know one thing about it? I said, Oh Lord,
I tell you a preacher, we get up and sing
any minute, won't they Hallelujah. Don't proclaim to be no songtrists,

no songs, sir, But I tell you, when the spirit moving,
Glory to God, Hallelujah, that song is gonna come out.
And guess what, Hallelujah. Somebody may get delivered by the
way you handle your midnight glory to God, somebody may
get deliverance.

I'm gonna say that on how you are going through
your midnight glory to God. The hallelujah, I believe they
beginning to sing, you are my strength, Yes.

If you sing it long enough you start feeling it.
You are my strength. What kind of strength strands like

even in my midnight hour, you are my hole. Yes,

His grace is what gets us through. His grace is
what pushes us glory to God.

power just in the power of your name. When I'm
going through by midnight and I call on you, in
the power of your name, you live me up when
the enemy won't me to hang my head down. You
live me.

what you're going through.

your heart and somebody hear you, Glory to God, you
never know that just might be what they needed at

Times when I'm taking care of my sister, I got
a certain song that I play, and then she started
singing it and she say, I said it didn't I.
I say, yes, you did, because when she started acting up.

Lord, you all welcome in this place. Lord, you all
welcome in this place. Have your way.

Then I say, move by your spirit in this place.
Move by your speiod in this place. Please move by
your spuriod. In this place, have your way, I say.

See one thing about praise, Paul and silas pray Glory

And one thing about praise. Praise shifts the focus from
you to God, hallelujah.

When you start praising, you forget about yourself.

The focus is no longer on you and what you're
going through. Not that it's gone, but the focus has
shifted Glory to God. And when you shift your focus.

When you shift your focus, God is not gonna shift
your focus.

Hallelujah.

Speaker 2 (24:10):
Well we're talking about if nothing changes, nothing changes.

But when you shift.

Your focus hallelujah, Glory to God, from you to God,
then guess what your praise does. Your praise shifts the atmosphere. Hallelujah.
Change happens in the atmosphere. The atmosphere is lighter. You
are lighter, Glory to God because you are no longer

focusing on you and what you're going through.

Hallelujah. But your eyes are on the Lord. Glory to God.

Speaker 2 (24:47):
Your praise hallelujah, is to God. You're praising God, and
praise has a way of lifting you, not only lifting.
When the reader was reading, it was letting you know,
glory to God. When they begin to praise the Lord,
it said, and suddenly, suddenly, hallelujah, that was a great earthquake.

Hallelujah. See that shift.

Speaker 2 (25:14):
It was a shift glory to God in their situation.

Speaker 1 (25:20):
It was a shift in their circumstances.

Speaker 2 (25:23):
It said that the very foundation was shaken, Glory to God.

Not only was the.

Speaker 2 (25:30):
Foundation shaken, hallelujah, but it said that immediately all the
doors were open.

Speaker 1 (25:36):
You need God, holy lujah.

Speaker 2 (25:38):
If you need a door open, if I need glory
to God, if you need a door open, Glory to God.
It's in your praise. Glory to God. It can shake
up some stuff, glory to God. It can shift the atmosphere.
Glory to God, hallelujah, shake your very foundation, Glory to God, hallelujah.

Glory to your name, Lord God.

Speaker 2 (26:06):
And it's said that everyone's not just yours, glory to God,
but everyone's bands were loose, hallelujah.

See when you shift the focus from you to God, hallelujah.

And there's a change in the atmosphere because you shifted
your focus, not your light up. You can praise God,
you can magnify God, Glory to God, and it affects
somebody else, hallelujah.

See when you're.

Going through your midnight, it might not even be about you, hallelujah.

Paul was supposed to be there all along.

Speaker 2 (26:44):
That was the place that God wanted them to be
in because it was somebody that needed.

To be saved.

Speaker 2 (26:50):
If you just keep on reading this, glory to God, hallelujah.

Why am I going through it?

Speaker 2 (26:54):
I don't know why I'm going through what I'm going through.
But I know one thing. God don't do nothing for
just no reason. He don't put you in a position
for no reason. Glory to God. So how do you
handle your midnight? See everyone's bands were loose. See there's
positive change, not just change, but positive change can come

from the way you handle your midnight.

Yes it can. Positive change can come. And we see.

Speaker 2 (27:28):
Hallelujah win Even though ed the doors were open and
everyone's bands were loose. When the jailer came in and
saw what was going on, he had his sword. He
was ready to kill hisself, but Paul had to tell him,
don't do yourself any harm.

Speaker 1 (27:43):
He said, we all here. Glory to God. Now y'all. Now,
don't you know everybody in prison was living for God.

Speaker 2 (27:51):
So normally when it's a jail breaking them doors are open.
I don't seen enough movies.

Speaker 1 (27:55):
Glory to God.

Speaker 2 (27:56):
I ain't never been in jail, don't want to go,
but I don't seen enough movies. Getting up out of there,
hallelujah something. Yeah, they going, they making their way. But
Paul said, we all still here, look at God. Hallelujah,
Glory to God. And the jailer wanted to kill himself,
but no, don't do yourself no harm. And you know

what he said after that, what must I.

Do to be saved?

Hallylujah, Glory to God? How do you get from we
all here that? What must I do to be saved?

God?

I had it set up, Glory to God.

I say, you never know, God had already been dealing
with that jailer, Glory to God. He probably was walking
through town when Paul and was going to pray, mean
seeing different things like that, and not only that, that
spirit of divination. Even though she vegs Paul, they weren't
showing them the way the salvation Glory to God. And
guess what salvation came out of that? It came out

of that hallelujah. But she ain't had nothing to do
with it. It was all God and the way that
they handled their midnight Glory to God.

Saints. I just want to encourage.

You on tonight, keep your head up, keep praying, keep praying,
keep singing, keep praising the Lord, keep your song hallelujah.
Those scriptures that were going through that the pastor was
going through this morning, I was like.

She had no idea that I had no idea she.

Speaker 2 (29:28):
Was coming from songs, but I already knew I was
preaching about praise. And one of those scriptures said, the
Lord is my strength, and it has become my song.

Glory to God. I say, God, you don't.

Speaker 2 (29:39):
Just do stuff just to be doing it, hallelujah, and
not on it that.

Speaker 1 (29:44):
Another scripture in that same passage said that this is.

Speaker 2 (29:47):
The Lord's doing and it is marvelous in our eyes.

So what they were going through, this is the Lord's doing.

Speaker 2 (29:54):
God set it up this way. I don't know why
he set it up this way. He could have just
saved the jeilu. He could have just went to church
and come down the aisle.

But everybody ain't gonna get saved that way. Hallelujah.

But how do you handle your midnight? Glory to God,
Get a praise on your heart, keep a praise on
your heart, keep a smile on your face, Glory to God.
When you know you're just crying on the inside, Glory
to God. People may not be able to see it.

They may not know what you're feeling. Glory to God.

I'm at the end of my rope. They say, when
you get to the end of your rope, tye not
