Is Saban done? Also, CoachPrime and the Bubbs keep on winning?
That and more here on Unfair Sports, will we take a pensive approach to
the sports conversation. I am yourhost, Jay. Thank y'all for pulling
up here on the YouTube channel andlistening wherever podcasts are downloaded and listen to
while you're here. Please like, subscribe, rate review, give us five

(00:27):
stars. You'll think we deserve it. Lets go ahead and give us five
anyway, and gifted. And sowe're gonna go around college football and talk
all kinds of great topics here onSeptember thirteenth, because there was a lot
of fun this past weekend. Andwe'll lead off with Alabama Texas and exactly
what's going on with Obama and isNick Saban done? That's the question.

(00:48):
Texas A and M I swear theyjust cannot figure anything out whatsoever. Colorado
keeps winning. I want to talkabout what Coach Prime is doing that other
teams cannot try to recognize replicate. Then then we'll jump right into Utah as
well. Let's Oregon, a littlebit of Wisconsin and oh miss you can
hit us up on an Unfair fanline four three zero nine zero one,

(01:10):
one nine zero six and done.Let us know what you think of the
show. Love to get your strongestopinions. You can check it into description
as well. We would love toget a call from it and you might
end up on the show one day. We're gonna do a call in in
the future, so hit us upfor three zero nine zero one one nine
oh six. Thank y'all for pullingup as usual. Told you we're gonna

(01:30):
get back on track. We're gonnahave these, especially when I'm not traveling.
We'll have these episodes where we aretalking ball, just college football in
general, you know, right, just me basically getting on here, run
in my mouth. And so ofcourse the goal is for these to be
segments of ten minutes of less. We'll probably break these up in five by
fives and go through all of thesegames. We've got about eight games to

(01:53):
really jump into from last week, and I think if I can find the
time, I'm gonna do another episodeon Fridays that will be the preview for
the weekend. And also, ifyou've made it here, we're two minutes
in. In the description. Ifyou're not watching the premiere, you can
click on the times of the chaptersand it goes jumps to right right,
jumps right to each game. Myapologies, I'm all tongue tied, but

(02:16):
you can check those out there thatway. You know, if you want
to see a particular you know, breakdown from me and want to get my
thoughts on a particular game, it'llbe there. And so thank y'all for
supporting the show. As usual,if you've checked us out, we do
the Bleacher Report I guess you couldsay college Football Prediction round Table. We

(02:36):
did it last Friday for the firsttime. It was so much fun.
I was nervous as hell, eventhough like I do this all the time,
but I was nervous. You know, it was a live show on
a new platform. I wanted tomake a good impression, and yeah,
it was kind of weird. Socheck it out. These are the predictions
that we all put up. Soyou got myself, you got Tie Hay's
from around the Table, you gotNick from Nino's Sports as Nino's Corner Sport,

(03:00):
as well as Stephen from the fanaticperspective. As you know, the
bottom two guys are Texas fans.Ty is an Alabama fan and me of
course, and Oklahoma sooner, aswell as Tennessee volunteers. So we got
to pick our games. These arethe ones that we selected, and out
of all of those who who ownedhere, only miss one game. This

(03:22):
guy. Yeah, I'm gonna betoo my horn when we talk about it
on Friday, So just make sureyou tune in it on the Police Your
Report app. It happens at tenam Central this week eleven eastern ten am
Central. You can hear me onthere, and I would love y'all to
pull up in join your boy.And so let's jump into these games.

(03:43):
I've gone about four minutes of justopening and I just want to give you
all that formality. We'll have atears and Heisman list after week four,
so in October you'll see the tearsas well as the Heisman thoughts and rankings
at that point. I'm not gonnado it beforehand because I'm gonna be honest.
I've told y'all before I did thepreseason one. I hate any poll

(04:08):
before week four mainly because we don'tknow. I need a sample size,
and usually even these non conference gamesthat are blowouts, you get enough information
at that point to have an ideaof what tier people should be And who's
in your title contenders? Who's aplayoff contender? So I mean, you
make the playoffs, but you probablywon't win the title. Who's your conference

(04:29):
champion tier, those that will makea bowl game. We have all of
that to really look at, andthat usually populates around Week four. You
start really learning who teams are.I mean I even said that about my
Sooners last year. We lost rightat the point of week four. We
lost the fourth game of the season. Started three and oh lost fourth game.
And that's when things tail spend. And you usually see that from a

(04:51):
lot of teams, when they startto really meet their first piece of true
competition, that's when they either foldor they flourish. And so for me,
that is when we should see it. So let's dive into the first
game here. We've got Texas andObama. What a battle. I was
watching that and the OU SMU gameat the same time, and I even

(05:12):
went back and watched the Obama gameas well as rewatched the Oklahoma game.
And so we'll close with Oklahoma andsome U for you all. But to
start off, Texas went out thereand did it. They went out to
Brian Denny, they beat Nick Sabandouble digits for the first time in his
career at Alabama and the first timeit's happened at Brian Denny Stadium since two
thousand and four. So Texas shouldbe riding high. Quinnier is out there

(05:34):
cooked. He was bawling with threehundred forty nine yards. He had three
tuddies. He was out there justlobbing that thing, and he was looking
good. Jailey Monroe struggle, We'lltalk about him on the other side,
but let's talk about Texas and whatthey did. When I looked at the
game, they did not get torun like they wanted to. They were

(05:56):
they weren't held, you know, pretty good on the run game, but
overall they bawled. And it's funnybecause when I was talking on around the
table with Ti and Nino on Monday, and Nino made this point. Now
was the thing I thought about theentire time. If this was last year,
Texas loses this game, if itwas if it was two years ago,
Texas loses the game. These arethe games that Texas would traditionally lose

(06:17):
because they're down sixteen to thirteen goinginto the fourth quarter. They have lost
those games. They didn't this timethey rose to the occasion. They went
out there, they buckled down. The defense looks really good. Hate to
say it about a rival, buttheir defense looks good. They went out
there, they got the touchdown, they got the interception, and they've capitalized.
Right afterwards, then they Bama ofcourse scored, so you thought,

(06:42):
Okay, this game is gonna getmore interesting. Bama's gonna do it.
Nope, Texas went and scored againand then they forced Bama to punt the
games over. So that's what youwant. You want to see your team
flourish in the situations where it seemslike they wouldn't normally fall. And so
there's absolutely no reason to think thoughthat tech is back, as people are
trying to proclaim, we don't knowyet. I mean, the last time

(07:04):
it was said they went ten andthree in the season. We haven't sent
a ten win season since, right, So you got to make sure that
first they're going to live up tothe hype. They live up to the
hype. We may be able to, you know, buy into it,
but until they get to the hype, can't do it. I've got to
wait and see what it looks likewhen we get to the point of them

(07:29):
going around that corner. I thinkthat Texas is at the corner. I
don't think they've got around it yet. This was a huge win. This
was also to Obama team that we'vealways always had questions on, even though
on paper they're a top team.I was. I did a video talking
about the esp and FPI, thecomputers that they have, the analytics.
Analytics still has Alabama's the number oneteam in the country. That's what the

(07:51):
computers say. The computers in theirsimulation still likes Alabama and every single game
this season. And Texas moved upthough mex Texas moved up into the top
five. Sorry top ten. Youknow they were number ten. I think
they're like number six now six orfive, So they moved up. They've
moved up those ranks, and that'ssomething that you want to see if you

(08:11):
want to be a believer as aTexas fan. And so let me give
y'all the exact their number six onthat list. So that's a win for
you all as Texas fans, justkeeping it a buck, that's a win.
You should all be excited about thefact that the computers are starting to
buy more into you again, eventhough you start the season off pretty high
and ten. I mean you movedup before that. You were up in

(08:33):
the top ten before the season started, dropped to ten, and now you're
up here to number six. AndI anticipate Texas hovering all around that until
they play somebody else that could pushthem. So I'm hoping they do not
overlook this Wyoming team and going thereand buckle down and play This would be
a game that Texas what traditionally lose, but I don't think they lose that

(08:54):
game. They shouldn't that that gameis on paper perfect for them to go
ahead and tune up to go upagainst the in state battle against Baylor.
And we know Baylor struggling, butyou don't want to ever fight a dude
that's backed in the corner, youknow. That's that's the worst one the
ones that feel like they need itthe most. We'll talk about the Baylor
game later, but Baylor's got tofigure it out and A. Randon and
his boys gotta do something if theywant to not fall into oblivion. And

(09:18):
so Texas can't overlook them. Andthen they got Kansas. They got Kansas
coming to town. They travel awake, go, and they got Kansas coming
in and Jalen Daniels has given themhell before, and Texas has had problems
with Kansas in the past. I'mjust saying that's there. It's like their
problem with Kansas is similar with Oklahoma'sproblem is being with Kansas State. That's
what it feels like. And soand that's recent history for them, for

(09:39):
us. For Oklahoma has always beenthe problem. And so as long as
Texas maintained their buckled down game,I think they'll be fine. They'll be
able to do some stuff. Solet's talk about bamam Bama in this game
struggled and they struggle in the pastgame. And so they brought in Tommy
Reese to run Saban's offense. AndSaban, of course, he will veto

(10:01):
any call that Tommy rees does orany offensive coordinator does if he feels like
it's not something that works out forhim. And I'll talk about this before
that saving to them, they werelooking at Jeff Leby. I believe he
interviewed or had a conversation at leastand one of the things that made me
feel like he wouldn't take that jobis that he loses power Oklahoma. Leby

(10:22):
has power his power over the offense. And that's something. It's kind of
like Sam Presty here with the thunder. Why people don't they really believe that
Sam Presci would leave Okahoma City. And I tell people all the time,
he ain't going to a bigger marketbecause here at Oklahoma City, Sam Presty
has nothing but power. Like heliterally is like the top dude. At
some point, He's probably gonna endup being team president. The dudes got

(10:43):
power. He's just that guy andhe has a full autonomy. He does
his thing, and that's different.Same thing for Lebby and so for Saban.
It's now since Saban has that autonomy, he's in charge of everything.
They're trying to get Jalen milroll upto speed. And to be honest,
I don't feel like that system isconducive for the growth of Jalen Milroe.

(11:05):
It doesn't feel like it. Andso I've been seeing national media people.
I think it was Barstool Sports. They had a whole segment about Alabama and
they actually had the nerve to saythat this Alabama team doesn't have much elite
talent on it. I'm sorry, what so, Yeah, somebody said that
national meat people shouldn't have these folks. I'm not gonna say they shouldn't have

(11:26):
mics. I everybody has their opinionto totally get it, but do a
little bit of research on that Alabamahad what ten, two, four,
seven five stars and like the lastcycle and ain't lost nobody, you know
what I'm saying, Or that twocycles. Agobama has talent, not even
they have the highest blue chip ratein the country. Georgia had the last

(11:46):
two years, Bama beat them. This year they got a five start every
position. They got talent. Theproblem is is they don't have the quarterback
yet. Mill Roe was a fourthstar. He's a blue chip, but
he's not as a hasser as refinedas the ones that they used to walk
in in the door with the BryceYoungs of the world. Even mac Jones

(12:07):
to a tongue of violoa hell JalenHurts, I'd say that mill Roll's closer
to Hurts than he is to aor Bryce Young. And I'll say that
in a serious note. Back theninto Jalen Hurts era, even as the
was an SEC offensive Freshman of theYear or whatnot or Offensive Player of the
Year, he got Hurts ran theball a lot. He didn't throw a

(12:30):
lot, he ran it more. They had design runs, they had it
set up. They were down thereplaying bullyball. And against Texas, you
can't do that because Texas has beenrecruiting the trenches like crazy. They've done
well lately. They've done well ingetting better offensive lineman and getting better defensive
lineman. They've done a great jobat both of those, which is what
I hate because as Oklahoma fan,I don't want to face them like that.
But at the same time, it'salways good to play a good teams

(12:52):
because iron Shopman's iron. We couldprove ourselves at that point, but that's
my thing. Texas has in Shark. This is his third year, so
he has had time to really getthe players. He knows he needs to
beat a team like Alabama. Rememberhe worked at Alabama at two stints.
He went to Alabama as an analystand he was the interim OC when Lane
Kiffin left, went to the NFLand worked for the Falcons for two years

(13:13):
and then came back to Obama asthe offensive coordinator after he with the offensive
coordinator deal there. He's now inTexas, so he knows what you need
to do. To be successful inthe SEC. In Texas moved to SEC,
and so Sarkisian's prepared. That's thedifference. And so with with Saban
and them, it's just that millRose unfortunately, he's one of those quarterbacks

(13:37):
you're done on him and everybody.I don't and I don't think mill Roll's
bad. I just think that thissystem is not conducive for his growth.
Now he can show out later inthe season. He can show growth this
year, and no reason you'll hearme say that Saban's done. Yes,
that's what the thumbnail says. Iasked the question because everybody's saying it.
He is not done. There's nothingabout Nick Saban that I can ever say

(14:01):
is done until he loses four gamesin a season. They will win ten
games this year. Now, theydo got some challenging games coming up in
this schedule, because when I lookedat it, I was like, Okay,
who's Alabama play next? And whothis season will give them the biggest
problems they got all missed, whichwill be a ranked game in two weeks.

(14:22):
I think the Tennessee game will bea challenge, and I think the
LSU game will be a challenge.I don't know if Arkansas is gonna be
a challenge and then will not be. I'll explain later. Iron Bowl will
be a challenge because he's gonna faceagainst a foe that has beaten him before,
which is Hugh Freeze. All Brandondoes not look good, but they
may actually show up for this game. So overall, there's only really two

(14:46):
teams I would see that's truly aconcern for them to lose in that's playing
Tennessee at home and an LSU athome back to back. That could be
And the good thing for them isthey actually get a week off in between
Tennessee and LSU, So even thoughyou play them back to back, you
get a break. They're off Decemberon October twenty eighth, because they're off

(15:09):
the week of the twenty eighth.Next week after that in November is what
LSU shows up. Man, Thatis four weeks at home because they go
home on the fourteenth against Arkansas. Then Tennessee break a him. I'm sorry,
LSU. That's a good thing forthem. They need that. So

(15:30):
Tennessee is gonna be a challenge, especially after Arkansas, but I think they'll
be fine for the rest of theyear. Please don't listen to anybody that
tells you that Nick Saban's done. They're lying to you. They're lying.
And yes, I put it onthe pictures with the question. It was
clickbait. You're here now, right, They're not done. Savan's not done.
He's still got the talent. Hesee the quarterback and they've got a

(15:50):
few quarterbacks. Man, when JuliusSaya shows up, we may just shut
up about Saban being done. Atthat point, I think he's going to
be a special talent coming in thenext recruiting clas So hop in the comments.
Let me know about that game atch'all feel what was y'all thoughts?
Think about Texas, think about Bama. We'd love to hear from you all
here in the channel. I tryto jump in and hop in the comments
while this show is premiering today.Luckily I should. You'll see you're gonna

(16:15):
see a bunch of me, soenjoy yourselves. Okay, next game,
we gotta talk about this Colorado Nebraskagame. Geeee, my people, gee
like, talk to me about whaty'all think about what Colorado's doing. We're
gonna talk about both teams, ofcourse, but I want to dive into
what Coach Prime is doing. Idid a morning after recap. I did

(16:36):
an instant reaction to that game.I want y'all to understand something, and
I want y'all to hear me crystalclear when I say this, And this
is no shade to anybody out therethat's working the butts off trying to figure
this out. Let me explain somethingto you. This, my friends,
is not something that's gonna be replicated. It's not Coach Prime did something that
is very much unprecedented because he's DionSanders, He's Coach Prime, he has

(17:02):
an alter ego, he's Prime Time, he has all of that, and
so he's No, we don't haveto worry about anybody ever doing what Coach
Prime is doing because it's not somethingyou can do. That's him. He
is him. We watched him dominatecollege, we watched him dominate the NFL
game changer, right, So,but what he did, but the portions

(17:23):
of what he did are replicatable.Now. I heard Josh Pate say this
after week one. He was spoton, and I want to reiterate this.
Teams are now going to see ifthey can find themselves a Dion Sanders,
and it's gonna be the biggest mistakeof their lives. You are not
finding a guy that is one ofone that have told you he's one of
one. There is no Nick Saban. There is one Nick Saban. Kirby

(17:45):
Smart is a different version of somebodyelse. Ni Kirby Smart is Kurby Smart.
Diabo Sweeney's Diabo Sweeney. But thedominance of a Nick Saban you're never
gonna see again, maybe not inthis lifetime. It's gonna be a while
to find somebody that can do thatat that level and still do it.
Say it's gonna be gone for usto get that Dion Sanders. Coach Prime

(18:07):
doing what he's doing is not somethingthat you can think that is replicatable because
it's not the problem for him isthe thing about him is in all of
this is that Coach Prime made themoves that we're smart and to talk about
this at Nazam and I want youto hear me crystal clear when I say
it. He came in with aquarterback his son that everybody doubt it,

(18:32):
granted everybody doubt. I had afeeling I've seen should replay. He was
a four star out of Dallas. He can play, and he's showing you
he can play, which is themost important part. He's got his daddy's
gene. He's got that. Yeah, you can doubt me, how you
want him to show you up?That's what you want. So that,
to me is the reason why CoachPrim and am I so successful right now?

(18:56):
You can't be him. He ishim. Catch my drift. That's
not something that's replicatable. That guyis himself. Good luck finding another one.
And also did something that's really different. He went and got a whole
bunch of prospects, got a bunchof talent, got a bunch of players
out the portal. He flipped hisentire roster. So going into this Nebraska

(19:21):
game he had with sixty something plusnew scholarship players. Nebraska had a few
transfers but didn't take many of them. And the one thing that Matt Rule
did not bring with him was aquarterback. He picked up a transfer which
Jeff Simms, but it's not hisquarterback. Remember, Shador was with Coach
Prime at Jackson State and at highschool. He knew what he was working
with. He brought him an offensivecoordinator that's never had as much talent as

(19:42):
he had there at Colorado and SeanLewis. Sean Lewis made that offense so
easy for should do it to run. He said, mana, just be
cerebral and do your thing. He'smentored by Tom Brady. There's so many
factors that we tried to overlook onthis. Colorado does have one problem.
That defense got to get better. It will in time. They don't have
the depth yet, that's all itis. But they'll get there. So

(20:06):
they're gonna be a team that's gonnabe really tough to get out. I
don't expect a single game to bea blowout for them because on them,
because they have the offense that canwin shootouts. They have a team built
for the Pac twelve. You gotTravis Hunter, You've got Dylan Edwards,
who's monstrous. We still haven't seenCavosi a smoke or Altimo Alton, the

(20:30):
running back that came from Houston. You ain't got him out there yet.
Colorado has a team full of justdudes, like dudes, something that you
probably didn't expect. Alti McCaskill.I always forget it is McCaskill or mcclutching.
But mc McCaskill. So you gotAlton McCaskill, who's coming off that
injury, and you got Dylan Edwardsas well as Cavosi a smoke, and

(20:56):
they're all still young. Cavosa isthe oldest. If you really ain't seen
them wide receiver wise, those freshmanwide receivers, the ones cooking, then
you gotta Exavir Weaver, who hegot out of the transfer portal with Jimmy
Horn Jr. You see the typeof players he went after, the ones
that he was focused on, theones that he wanted on this roster.

(21:18):
A Marion Miller the recruit. They'realso seeing their name in the ranks with
all of these recruits. And sonow that you see in Colorado in top
five's top four's even more, recruitingmay as slow down, but that bad
boy's going back up. Coach Primeis doing it. He's doing something that
a lot of people cannot do becausehe's him. So let's not try to
say that we're gonna see teams replicatethis or try Chiefs. Don't try to

(21:41):
replicate this. Find you a coachand hopefully as a quarterback that can come
with him or get you one that'sreally good at developing quarterbacks. Then you'll
be fine because Lincoln Riley did itwhen he went to USC. He took
Kayley Williams with him, and KayleyWilliams basically carried them to those wins this
season. He is him. He'swon the Heisman for a reason because he's
that good. Not everybody can dothat. So keep that in mind whenever

(22:03):
you turn over to the roster.Mike Coach Prime did. Hell, Venables
didn't do it for Oklahoma, butguess what he did this past summer.
He turned over that roster over eightypercent of the players have gone from Oklahoma.
That wasn't That was when before brinVinables got there. There's a reason
why Coach Prime did that. Andso looking at Nebraska, they'll be fine.

(22:26):
Defensively, this was a good gamefor them. They held Colorado all
the way up until what was thatthe second quarter before they start letting him
score. Now there there, Imean, it was what three punts in
a row? With four punts ina row, they made them punt four
times in a row, which iswhat you want. Then of course they

(22:47):
just couldn't stop getting over there onfeet. Jef Sims couldn't stop fumbling,
could not catch a snap to savehis life. And so for Rule,
he's gonna have to figure out,do I need to keep this man as
my quarterback right now? Or youknow, can we accept the growing pains?
Are we okay with the growing painsthat we're dealing with? A lot

(23:08):
of people are not okay with it. Some people want him gone, and
I totally get it. But theone thing I would understand here is this
that Matt Rule's gonna have Nebraska lookingbetter. They looked good defensively in this
game. They slowed them down, but guess what, They ran out of
gas. And that's what happens whenyou have a team that doesn't have the

(23:32):
attrition that you need right when youdon't have attrition, when you don't have
enough players to rotate in and outthe moment that you run out of gas,
it's ben deal. And that's exactlywhat happened to Nebraska, outside of
the fact that Colorado made them rightout of gas, because Colorado's got a
good offense. And the beauty ofwhat Colorado did in this game is that

(23:55):
they put their foot on the gasand they kept pressing that bad boy.
They kept pressing it and pressing it, pressing it. Thirty six to seventeen.
Thirty six to seven was a scorebefore they let them score touchdown at
the end of the game at fourteen. That mother is not real. Keep

(24:17):
that in mind, you though thenumbers are still there. That's not real.
Let's dive into Baylor. What isgoing on with Dave Randa in this
team? They look so undisciplined. They just do not look good credit.
They only had five turn up fivepenalties in this game, but they had
two turnovers and nothing about them lookgood. I Will was watching that one.

(24:41):
I'm just like, man, Okay, Baylor's gonna get up. Abend's
up ten three, they're up thirteenthree. Yeah, they're gonna do it.
And then right there in the fourthquarter what happened. Limon Booty start
falling over themselves throwing interceptions. Ihate their interceptions in the game that leads

(25:02):
to the touchdown the ends of thegame. I thought he was gonna get
overtime. I really did. I'mlooking at this, we got a minute
something left, all right, We'regonna go to overtime. Nope. Soe
Robertson threw that interception and he waslike, oh, that's not good.
Yeah, what are they doing?Dave Randy need to figure out what he's
gonna get what he's doing now.Granted, the good thing for them they

(25:22):
only gave up twenty points to Utah, which Utah is usually pretty good scoring
team, but Baylor itself does not. They don't look good. Sorry.
Robertson through only twelve twenty eight toeighteen two interceptions in this game, and
you would expect that the run gameto be more efficient. The only guy
one hundred and twenty one yards rushing. They gave up two hundred and twenty
four four and four point eight yardsper carry. It's a massive number.

(25:45):
And Utah basically just held the timeof possession. That's something that yeah,
yeah, you gotta you don't wantto have happened to you if you think
that you're gonna be able to makewaves. The struggle is real. The
struggle is real for Utah, Imean for Baylor, and I do think

(26:07):
that Dave Randa coming into next week, if they have any issues against Long
Island, which they should go outand blow them out. I'm gonna say
that that spread, let's go lookat the spread real quick, because I
anticipate this spread to be massively high. They ain't even got no spread out
for this. This is a ninetynine percent chance for going to win this
game based on the analytics. Theycannot lose this game. Honestly, they

(26:30):
better not let Long Island State UniversitySharks score a touchdown. If they do,
man, that's a garbage one willlet pass. But that's a struggle.
But the fact that they got Texasright afterwards night game ABC at home,
They've got to figure out something. And I think the game for Baylor

(26:52):
to try to get back on theright track is gonna be Texas. They've
got to show out for that game. And if they don't show up for
that game, man, there isnothing about them. It tells me that
they can compete. But then yougo look at the Utah side. Let's
talk about Utah. They walked inhere, Cam Rising did not play and
they won. They gutted it outand won. Bryce and Barnes as well

(27:15):
as Nate Johnson split basically two quarterbackgame. Barnes had come out because they
through the interception. You bring inNate Johnson, the only threw one hundred
three yards in this game, andthey still won, and still one that
to me is huge on them becauseKyle Whittingham will show up with a discipline
team, they will play really gooddefense, and they will run the ball.
And they ran up two hundred andtwenty four yards. Shout out to

(27:40):
my boy Stephen over their fanetic perspective, because we're to it. That's exactly
what happens when you play in thistype of game and you bring the two
most important things with you defense, run game. So so j Quinn and

(28:00):
Jackson out their nineteen carries one twentynine, six point eight yards a carry,
and then Jalen Glover also got himsome run seven carries for forty yards,
averaging five point seven yards a carry. Yeah, they bawled out.
And so the Pack should be onwatch because Cam Rising will be back within
the next couple of weeks before theseason's up. Oh, that means that

(28:26):
there's a good chance that Utah isgonna be a problem in the pack.
And when you go look at whothey have scheduled coming up. Let's look
at their schedule real quick. Theygot a gauntlet of Ucla. They have
Ucla at the crib, they travelto Oregon State and then mid month of

(28:48):
October they have they travel to USCand Oregan comes to the Crib. They've
got a tough schedule and they endthe season with Colorado. So the Pack
is probably the best team of quarterbacksin college football. We've got to give
them Matt props. So I thinkthat Utah is gonna show us something special.

(29:10):
Keep your eyes open. I doanticipate them being a problem in the
Pack, and they're probably gonna bethe Pack twelve championship game again three years
in a row. Who would havethought so? Once again, the Pack
decided to show up in Big twelvecountry and do what slap people around.
So Utah technically is a Big twelveteam now since they'll join the Big twelve

(29:32):
or whatever they're gonna call themselves. At that point, they showed out down
there in Baylor and these all roadgames, remember that too. Baylor lost
at home to Utah. That's thecrazy part. Oregan went to Lubbock,
and I swear I thought that Oregonwas gonna lose that game. But bow
picks, a ky bow Knicks,Bowtations or whatever. The Hella Colum went
out there did this thing. Threehundred fifty nine yards passing two touchdowns,

(29:56):
thirty two forty four. Oh boy, eight point two yards past. He
had a he had a game andTyler Shaw y'all have y'all really was ripping
that kid. Three interceptions in thisgame. Turnover machine was going and Oregon
a man, I've told a fewfolks. Man, I'm not sleeping on
Oregan this year. But they didnot look that good against Tech. They

(30:18):
let Tech have too much goodwill inthis game, and they could not run
to save their lives. One hundredand thirteen yards on thirty one carries.
They gave up one hundred and seventyfour. So I'm wondering where this dan
Landing defense is. Both teams hadover four hundred yards, the over four
hundred fifty yards in this game. This was one of those quote unquote track

(30:40):
meets. But Oregan went out thereand you know, close sealed the deal
because Tech decided that they want togive everything back. I mean you you
you go up thirty to twenty eight. Look at the sequence, go up
thirty to twenty eight, kicking thefield goal right. Oregan comes down,
drives in ten plays, four minutes. It's five minutes left in the game.
They kick a field goal and theytake the lead. By one point.
So it's a lot of back andforth. Whereas I thought Tech was

(31:03):
gonna be able to try to geta lead initially, but when Tech took
that lead twenty seven to eighteen,I was like, okay, Tech and
the third quarter might have something. Then they gave up that touchdown. Oregon
made think that only a two pointgame from twenty seven to eighteen to twenty
seven twenty five. Then Oregon forcedthem on downs, got their field goal.
Tech got their field goal back.So it's a fly back and forth,

(31:25):
a lot of action pactness. Oregon'sthat field going to take the lead,
and then of course Shaw throws thatinterception that becomes a pick six,
throws a forty five yard pick six, and that's when the game just basically
was done. And then he threwanother interception in the game. Oregon seals
the deal thirty eight to thirty. And Oregon looked defensively, Okay, I'm

(31:49):
just gonna say it, that's mythought going back and look at it,
it wasn't all that great. Now. They ended up with four tackles five
tackles for the loss, which isn'tbad. Tech only had one sack and
five tackles for the loss it overall, Tech shot themselves in a foot in
this game. They tried to findany way, shape or form to lose

(32:15):
this game. That's what they did. They gave this game away. Tech
didn't want it. So I asky'all this question. Hop in the comments
and let me know what you think. Big twelve still run through Lubbock.
Because I'm looking at that. Ohand two record Tech and Baylor not good.

(32:40):
Should I be scared of Tech orBaylor? Because I'm not. Both
of them do not look very disciplined. They look both very sloppy. And
I was high on Jerry McGuire JoeyMcGuire. I thought that Joey McGuire was
going to do some special stuff. But now I'm looking at this and I'm
asking my questions. Is it thatthey just have bad back play or are

(33:00):
they just not disciplined enough? Ithought Tyler Shaw was going to give us
some specialness, and so far arewe ain't getting it. Wyoming, you
lose to Wyoming and then you loseto Oregon at the crib on the road
to Wyoming, by the way,So we'll see. We'll see if Oregon
can do it and compete for thepack. I think they're one of the

(33:22):
teams that goes to the Patrol Championship. I think I'm gonna still stand by
that. But I'll tell you this, that Colorado game for Oregon is gonna
really tell me everything about them becauseColorado's hot and they can win shootouts.
If those ships that they can theycan do well in the shoot out.

(33:43):
It's a difference maker, baby,it's a difference maker. And if they
fail in that shootout, season isdone. Because if there's one team you're
gonna have a shootout with every anytimeyou play them, it's usc defense.
You know, by the end ofthe season, I always falls to attrition,
but their offense. Offense remains potent. Oregon, you gotta be prepared
for that. Tech man, Ijust show me something. You'll play Texas.

(34:07):
Now I'll talk about Tech more allr. Let's wrap this bad boy
up. We're gonna rap it fire. These last two games, two games
that I had very much interest inbecause they were the two games that I
picked. Reminder, you know, hit the light button, subscribe rate review,
give us five stars and think wedeserve it. Le give us five
anyway and gifted on Friday, I'llbe on bleacher Report on the bleacher Report

(34:27):
app for our college football game Dayprediction roundtable. So pull up, join
us. We'll be talking a ball, pretty excited about how well I'm gonna
do again. So I'm gonna bedefinitely you know, I only miss one
this week and next week I planon missing no more than one. The

(34:49):
goal is one per week and seeif I can fish with the best record.
So put your money on your boy, because I'm doing it. So
let's jump into this game. WashingtonState Wisconsin. Now, I've been high
on Wisconsin going into the season.I like Luke Fickle. I like the
fact that he has resources, evenmore resources going to Wisconsin. And the
biggest problem I though I had withthem is that they got a whole bunch

(35:12):
of quarterbacks and I don't know ifthey know they know what they're doing.
Ten and Mordecai is their quarterback. Two seventy eight and a touchdown in this
game. Not too bad. He'stwenty five or forty not bad. Cameron
Warthos Washington State had boys of Beast, so they traveled up to Pullman to
try to figure out if they canwin this game at Washington State and a
ranked Wisconsin could not beat an unrankedWashington State. Those Cougars were fighting,

(35:35):
they were kicking butt, and theycan Paul like Cameron Ward when he got
there from Incarnate Word, I waslike, man, I don't know who
this kid is. I mean hethrew for four forty six hundred yards and
Incarnate Word forty seven touchdowns and teninterceptions. Forties forty six hundred yards,

(35:58):
forty seven touchdowns. They're stabilizing thingsthere, Wisconsin, and I'm sorry ed
Washington State, and I'm gonna keepit a buck. He may he may
have a really big season, likehe can play. I love Cameron A.
Ward. I am big on him, and he's you know, he's

(36:20):
he's sign I means six two twotwenty three, bigger kid from Texas.
He's got six hundre sees three yardsthis season, five touchdowns. I like
what I see, averaging over threehundred and thirty yards a game. He
can ball. I've seen him.I've seen enough of him to know he
can play. You put him inthe right system, he can play.
And so they're two and oh,they're moving up in the rankings. They're

(36:43):
teams that you know they beat Colorado'sState to start the year blew them out,
which means Colorado's gonna blow him outtoo. And then they go out
there and they beat Wisconsin at theCrib, which is a big game.
I'm sold on him, and Cameracan run as well. Seventeen carries forty
three yards, so basically he dideverything. He was basically a one man
show in this game, and thatwas fun. Washington State needs to figure

(37:06):
out this run game, though. You can have a guy that's a world
beater. I'm not gonna act likethat's not something realistic because we've watched it
be successful. But I'm not gonnapretend like this him being a world beater
is not kind of a problem forme. I mean, he leaves the
team in Russian at forty three eightythree yards. Next person is forty one.

(37:27):
So if Washington State wants to besuccessful, they need to establish a
run game on top of having CameronAward, and I think they'll be fine.
You gotta at least have some weaponthat people can key on if the
quarterback is the only thing that's doingsomething. So yeah, let's see what
it looks like for them. Prettyexcited. I do believe that Yeah,

(37:52):
Washington State may be a threat inthe pack right now, we'll see what
they look like. Let me seethe schedule wise, with the Oregon State
CLA coming up then of course theOregon game is usual Colorado on Washington in
the season, they got a lotof winnable games. I don't think they're
going to feed it. They'll they'lllose at least three and they'll end up
in a really good bowl game. But that's really it. Keep your eyes

(38:15):
open for Washington State. Man,it's gonna be a threat Wisconsin, though.
This is a good it's a goodlearning experience. They need a quarterback.
They just need a quarterback. Onceyou get a quarterback established, they'd
be fine. I'm not sleeping onand thinking that Wisconsin is done. I
think they'll be fine in the bigand when I look at their schedule,
the only team they play is gonnabe Ohio State. That's really a threat.

(38:37):
They've got the defense already. Aslong as they go out there and
play their game and prepare themselves fork McNamar over there at Iowa, I
think they'll be good. Ohio State'sgonna be their tough game on the twenty
eighth, though, Luckily he's atthe crib. That's gonna be a tough
game. Last game. You know, we got to dive into this one.

(39:00):
Up a bowl on it, OldMiss Tulane. I'll talk about ou
smme at the end of this also, but this is the last game I'm
really gonna dive into. Jackson Dartwalked out there two sixty seven two touchdowns
and Old Miss beat Tulane. Shoutout to Old Miss finishing his thirty seven
twenty of the score. Did notlook like that that was a last minute
touchdown for them to go over thespread. They looked out. I was

(39:21):
watching the Scott the Pelt Show andthey did the bad beats and this was
one of those bad beats. ThatScoop fumble touchdown just threw everything off.
Man, it was like a minuteand some change left Scoop fumble touchdown.
So yeah, that is exactly whatyou would expect. But it's a good

(39:43):
one. It was a good game, bowling. It was bawling. Tulane
went out there with some heart. They didn't have Prater, which I'm sorry
with Pratt. They didn't have Prattout there, which I thought Pratt was
gonna play. Pratt did not playand they had Kyle Horn and Kyle Horton
looked like he was gonna win itby him itself. He said he was
gonna go out there and do it. He started struggling. Mccai Hughes tried

(40:07):
to keep them going with his ninetytwo yards rushing in this game. But
yeah, they oh Miss actually puta good defensive clinic on and honestly,
two Lane did well on defensive side. Two only gave up with three hundred
and it was a three hundred andsixty yards steering and sixty three yards.
It's not bad. That's not badat all. That's actually really good.

(40:29):
I'm actually surprised that that Tu Lanewas able to hold him to that.
But to Lane's been putting out sometalent. I mean they got they got
three hundred and forty two yards inthis game. So this was this was
a solid battle throughout it. OhMiss felt like they were playing with their
food. But at the same time, to Lane just fought. Oh Miss

(40:49):
did something this season that they normallywould not do. They won in the
end of the game. They couldhave laid down and been done, but
they took it in the third quarterand said we're gonna win this game.
And Boom took the lead, tookthe lead in the fourth and kept going.

(41:14):
Not something I would have expected fromthem them to take the lead and
keep keep the lead from there. They kept to Lane from scoring. But
to Lane is gonna be beastly. They're going to be beastly. They're going
to be beastly. So keep youreyes open for that. It's gonna be

(41:36):
fun. So hoppen to comments.Let me know how'd y'all feel about oh
Miss winning this game? To Lane? Y'all think to Lane is still a
viable opponent? Have we now shownthem respect? Last one was oh U
SMU? And I'm just gonna saythis. I've done recaps, I've done
all kinds of shows, I've donea lot of talk about my Sooners and
SMU, and the only thing Igotta say really is this, they've been

(41:58):
and I play with their food forthe rest of the season. I get
that. Jeff Levy even he saidit in his presser that he was being
conservative cool, do not play withyour food for the rest of the season,
because if you play with your foodfor the rest of the season,
you will be food. Folks willbe gunning for you people. They want

(42:19):
you to fail. The only wayto not fail is to not play with
your food at the end. Soyou better make it happen, folks,
you better freaking make it happen.I expect to blow out against Tulsa.
It's gonna be a fun game, something to definitely check out. Make sure
you check out the read. I'mgonna do a preview with a Tulsa Golden
Hurricane podcaster. We're gonna talk aboutthe Canes, Kevin Wilson and all of

(42:43):
that stuff. We'll get them inand really dive deep into itself. They
got for pulling up to the show. Please hit that light button you to
the channel. Subscribe if you're listening. Great review, give us five stars.
Don't take you deserve it ex giveus five anyway and gifted if you
