I have no desire to attract “followers”. I want to attract leaders. Leaders who are willing to learn or apply their strengths to help other people. That’s it! That’s a leader.

Here’s how I do this strategically.

Speaker 1 (00:07):
All right, So this today, we're going to talk about
how to attract leaders, and this is part two of four.
I'm excited to kind of talk about this next one
because for me, these four things that gallup have gathered.
So if you if you if you're picking up this
episode and you want to know what I'm talking about,
go listen to part one. I'm just I'm just gonna
get to the point and kind of pick up the

(00:29):
next part. So I don't want to get into depth
and explain too much about this because ultimately what I
want to do is just kind of help you get
this information and get to work. You know, this is
one of the reasons why my podcast is such short,
you know, short episodes. So today we're going to talk
about hope. Yesterday or on the on the last episode,
I talked about how there are four qualities that we

(00:50):
need to exemplify as leaders in order to attract other leaders. Okay,
to speak their language. I mean, honestly, there's so many
people that are building like network marketing businesses or internet
marketing business and they're trying to have people refer people
to them and so on. I mean, the greatest thing
in the world is residual income. But it comes through

(01:12):
the efforts of other people who are passionate about what
you teach, and so the best way to do that
is to rely on their research that Gallup has done
and they basically laid it out for you. There's four
qualities you need to live up to, and the second
one is the one we're going to talk about today,
which is hope. Okay, hope. How do we help a person? Okay,

(01:37):
how do we help a person have hope? You know
it sounds daunting, right, think about that, right, we're talking
about inspiring people to have hope. Maybe there are people
that you know that you're trying to help that just
maybe they don't have it, you know, they don't have
any hope. Really, hope is like one of the greatest
things ever because it lets you know that there's a chance.

(02:01):
Instead of just rolling over and dying or giving up
or getting your butt kicked and saying, well, I guess
that's my station in life, right, hope gives us the
opportunity to see that there is opportunity, there is a way,
and if we could help a person believe in their

(02:21):
heart of hearts that there could be a way for
them to get everything that they want in a way
that honors who they are. Then we give them what
they need to do the work to get what they want.
That's it, right, So how do we create hope? How
do we do that from our end? This is something
that I am very passionate about, because I mean, I

(02:43):
can't believe it, Like this is crazy. When I used
to work for a large corporation, all right, I worked
easily eight hour days, right, sometimes in nine hour days
every single day, and then on Saturdays or Sundays or
on my weekend if you will, I was still on
my phone talking to these people at work, answering questions,

(03:05):
and I just felt like maybe that was just the
way life was supposed to be. And I got paid gosh,
Like the most I ever got paid in the corporate
world was about ninety thousand a year, and it's just gosh.
When I think back of that, I was like, that's crazy.
Giving up so much of my life for ninety thousand
a year was not worth it, not worth it at all.

(03:32):
To see that there's possibility to make ten times that much,
right with a fraction of the time, and being able
to spend time with my kids, right, be able to play.
My son loves to play Fortnite, that's his thing, so
we play together a lot. Right, for me to be

(03:53):
able to sit with my kids and read. Right now,
we're reading Animal Farm. I'm reading that to my kids
and we're reading it and we're discussing it. To be
able to have time to do things like that, or
to take my wife on dates constantly, like we'll even
take afternoon dates. Right, to be able to do things
like that, that's crazy to me, that that's a possibility

(04:16):
that I never even knew of. Back then, I lived
in a world where that was what you did. You
gave up your life for the corporate machine because it's
safe and it's predictable and it's responsible. No, my friends,

(04:37):
I'm grateful. I'm telling you right now, I'm so grateful
I got fired because I never had the guts to quit.
I never had the guts to quit my job. So
I'm so glad I was fired, even though it was
probably one of the most traumatic experiences of my life. Right,
I'm so grateful that happened because I didn't have the

(04:57):
guts to quit. But because I was fire, ultimately I
was exposed to more and my eyes were opened up,
and all I had to do was work my butt off.
And the biggest thing that I could share with you
that made a difference in my life was doing exactly

(05:18):
what I'm doing right now, being absolutely vulnerable, telling the
truth right and just telling people, hey, look, I'm not successful.
I'm not yet, but I want to be. And here's
why I'm here to share value with you because I
want to share everything that I'm going through with you.
That's what I did. I did that when I first started.
It was twenty fifteen. I started generating an income online.

(05:40):
I started, and by the way, I wasn't setting out
to generate an income. I was just setting out to
believe in myself. So I would do videos every single
day on Facebook. This is long before there was ever
a thing is live broadcasting, and so I would do
these videos every day on Facebook. And the reason why
I was doing it was not to become an Internet marketer.
I wasn't doing it to be a coach, certainly didn't

(06:01):
want that at all. I was just trying to convince
myself that I could bring value to people. And so
I did videos every single day just to prove to
myself that I could be valuable to others. And then
after a couple of months of doing that, live broadcasting
became a thing right as I started right on time.

(06:23):
It was an app called Periscope, and I started doing
videos every single day on there, and all I was
doing was talking about the things that I was personally
learning and overcoming, and then people would jump on my
periscope in comments, and I would coach them, like, I
would help them come to the same conclusions about themselves
that I was learning about myself, and I would do

(06:44):
this every single day. I did this every day for
like like five months, until one day my wife just goes, bang,
she hits me over the head, and she's like, Eddie,
why don't you just charge for coaching instead of coaching
everybody you talk to for free, because it's taking up
all of your time. And I was like, I never
thought of that. Okay, well what do we do? And

(07:05):
she goes, just come up with a program, come up
with a price, and then people can just you know,
decide if they want to work with you or not.
I'm like, all right, So I did a broadcast on
my periscope, my wife did one on hers, and we
told everybody that I was now going to start a
coaching program. And I got a program that's a month long,
and all you got to do is message me and

(07:26):
text me if you're interested in hearing about it. Within
a day or two, I had ten people text me okay,
and I talked to all ten of them over the
phone for like an hour, and we just talked about
where they are and what their problems are and what
they wanted. And at the end of that conversation, I
presented all of them with an opportunity to work with
me for a month for a thousand dollars. So each

(07:47):
one of them got to work with me for free
for an hour. And I'm just all I'm doing is
just sharing the things I learned that made a difference
in my life to help me build confidence, belief in myself,
and actually grow an income. And within two days, five
people joined, five people hired me. I made five thousand
dollars in two days, not because I was the special guru.

(08:10):
It was because I had exercised vulnerability online on a
consistent basis, with no desire to do anything other than
to prove that I am valuable to myself. That was it.
That's all I wanted to do was believe in myself,
and so I did these things every single day and

(08:31):
it attracted the most amazing people. And that was when
I realized how powerful internet marketing was. And that's also
when I realized that I worked so hard for so
long for no real reason. And so what I invite
people to do is to consider that maybe the way
they're doing things isn't the way it has to be.
Maybe you can have significant amounts of income in a

(08:54):
way that builds your desire to connect with people emotionally,
or to just tell people what to do, or to
inspire people, or to use your amazing intellect and ideas.
So that's my friend's hope is created through sharing your story.
That's how you create hope. You share your story with

(09:15):
at absolute vulnerability. Where were you, how were you introduced
to the thing that you do, and what is your
life like now? And it doesn't have to be I'm
super successful, because, as I prove to you, I didn't
have massive success in order to create a significant income online.

(09:35):
I didn't have to I didn't have to be some
big time Tony Robbins guru. Excuse me. I didn't have
to be that. I just had to be someone who
had something of value that someone else was willing to
invest in themselves for That's it. So that's how you
create hope, my friends, and ultimately for me. The thing
I've learned is to be who you are at an

(09:57):
infinitely unique level with your strengths. To Unleash your Strengths
