(00:31):
episode of the Unofficial Titans Podcast.Folks, it is here. The annual
offseason content plan has returned for twentytwenty four. We are kicking off the
series yet again with a look atone of the rivalries that the Tennessee Titans
happened to find themselves in this timethis year. For the first time,
(00:55):
we are talking about a division rival. We're talking about the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Of course. I'm your host forthe Unofficial Titans Podcast, the EIC at
Sobrosnetwork dot com. You know Igot that mind right, that ass tight.
It's big natural Stony Keeley. Youcan follow me on Twitter at Stony

(01:19):
Joined as usual by my co hostfor the Unofficial Titans Podcast, He
is one Take. Oh Cinderella Mancoming to us from the dad Zone.
Outspoken Owen read Owen. How youdoing today? My man? Hey everybody,
Hey Stony, I'm doing great. We're starting to get into the summertime,
(01:40):
and while there's a break in football, you know, that just means
a lot of fun off season contentfor us. Yeah, for sure,
for sure. So we've talked aboutthe Buffalo Bills, We've talked about the
Baltimore Ravens, but things kind oftake on a different meaning whenever you get
into the division. And I chosethis offseason and particular to start tackling the
(02:01):
division rivals because of the way eachof the last two seasons has ended with
winner take all games against the JacksonvilleJaguars in essence, But what is it,
like, I don't know if it'sI just I feel like the Jags
(02:21):
rivalry is the most personal of thedivision rivals, because I mean, you're
starting to see some fire with theHouston Texans because of the uniform the Oilers'
uniforms. But that's a pretty cutand dry thing for me. Like,
I really don't see why Texans fanswhine so much about the Houston Oilers uniforms
(02:42):
when the Titans were wearing them backin the two thousands and we didn't hear
a peep out of them then.I don't know, if it's just because
there weren't any Texans fans back then, or if now the team's good,
they want to wear good uniforms.I don't know, but it's been pretty
cut and dry that the Titans ownthe uniforms and and uh that's that's just
that. So as far as likeon the field stuff and between the fan
(03:06):
bases, I kind of feel likethe Titans and Jags has been the more
personal rivalry. Do you think that'sfair to say? Or are you looking
at another AFC South team as theTitans' most most heated rival? Uh?
Now, I'm with you there.I think, Uh, it's interesting because
they both wear expansion teams around thesame time. Are not as much expansion
(03:27):
teams, but well they relocated andand sure yeah, yeah, around the
same time in the same division.Uh, And it's it's fairly competitive.
Do you have the overall ratings backand forth with the record like the the
the rivalries win loss. I don't, but I think I can. I
(03:50):
think I can pull that up reallyquick. But I knocked it up today
and it was thirty five to twentyfive Titans, which isn't lopsided by any
means. Yeah, that's yeah, that's actually a little more lopsided than I
expected. I thought it was goingto be a lot tighter than that.
But yeah, and you know, yeah, like you were saying, you
(04:13):
know, there's just it's something morepersonal there. I feel like there was
a long streak where the Colts maybehad had a grip on the AFC South
to where a point where there wasn'treally a rivalry within them. Yeah,
so the rivalry kind of fell backto us. Yeah. And also with
these teams, man, you mentionedit, uh, with the Houston Oilers
(04:35):
relocating to Nashville becoming the Tennessee Titans. The Jacksonville Jaguars and the Houston Texans
are both expansion teams, and thenyou have the Indianapolis Colts, Like these
are these are teams that are smallmarket teams that don't have the history of
the Dallas Cowboys and the Philadelphia Eaglesand the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Cleveland and
(05:00):
the Raiders and the Chiefs. Likeyou're talking about a decade's long head start
for some of these more storied programs, and the AFC South kind of feels
like a division of newer teams, smaller market teams, teams that kind of
have the chip on the shoulder, and outside of the Peyton Manning Indianapolis Colts,
(05:23):
maybe the Andrew luck Indianapolis Colts therefor a few years. Outside of
those teams, it doesn't feel likethis is a division loaded with with primetime
teams that casual football fans really wantto know about. And I think that's
that's an interesting aspect of this rivalrytoo, the kind of I don't know
it breeds like these fan bases havechips on their shoulders, and there are
(05:47):
some nasty Jags fans just like thereare some nasty Titans fans. But it
kind of feels like you have twofranchises that almost have that little brother syndrome
and the grand scheme of the NFL, and when they turn their tension on
one another, it just feels likethe fan the fan interaction is even more
personal and a little more intense thansome of the other rivalries that the Titans
(06:10):
are in. Now, I'm bullyingwith you on that. Yeah, little
brother syndrome is a good way toput it. Just there's been times when
the Titans and Jags have both feltthese highs, and boy howdie when they
crash. They crashed birth spectacularly.Yeah, it's kind of weird looking at
(06:32):
the history the trajectory of these twoteams, because they were kind of good
at the same time, and thenthey were bad at the same time,
and then they were good at thesame time again, and now they're bad,
they're middling at the same time. Now it's kind of funny how like
these two the two paths just seemedto follow one another, Whereas it almost
(06:54):
feels like the instances where the Titansand Colts have been good at the same
time have been rare. The Titansand Texans have been good at the same
time has been rare as well. But the Jags and the Titans just seem
to find one another. And Ithink that's really interesting. But comparing the
two cities, would you rather livein Nashville, Tennessee or Jacksonville, Florida?
(07:15):
Owen, Oh, it's Nashville bya thousand miles. Jacksonville is kind
of in the middle of nowhere. It's in that lawless swamp part of Florida.
Then, and you know, Nashville, for all its problems, at
least you could say it's in themiddle of a society. Yeah, man,
I don't know how much time you'vespent in Jacksonville. But I've got
(07:39):
a really dark, creepy Jacksonville storybecause my wife and I were heading down
to Treasure Island. It's a littleisland outside of Saint Petersburg, Tampa Saint
Pete area. Family friend lives downthere, so we were going to visit
and meet up with the father inlaw, and we decided we were going
to make a little road out ofit, go stay a night in Panama
(08:01):
City Beach, go over to SaintAugustine, stay a night there, and
then make our way on down tothe Tampa Saint Pete area. Well,
when we were driving from Panama CityBeach to Saint Augustine, we realized that
Jacksonville. We had to drive throughJacksonville and I had never been before,
so I kind of thought, hey, let's cross this city off of our
(08:22):
list. Let's go scope it outand see what it's all about. And
man, it was. You know, it's a it's a random weekday downtown
Jacksonville. There was hardly any traffic, There was hardly any people out on
the roads. It just kind offelt like a ghost town. It was
a very very sad experience. Andthen I'm googling, like where do where
(08:43):
do people go in Jacksonville, andthere's I don't remember the name of it,
but there's a big mall right onthe river, and we pull up
to the parking garage. This mall'snext to some sort of bar and grille
that seemed pretty lively, so we'relike, okay, cool, well,
this is a this is a spotwe can we can check out. And
so we walk in the mall andrealize, okay, it is just the
(09:05):
bar that is lively, because thisplace is dead and we're just scoping it
out, walking from store to store. We go in. We go in
one of the one of the stores, and we come out and I noticed
a guy behind us, way offin the distance and he's just kind of
like slowly following along. And thenwe go into another store and we come
(09:26):
out and he's still there the samedistance, almost as if he had stopped
where he was at when we walkedinto the store. But then when we
start walking again, he starts walkingwith us. And we go into another
store and we come out and suddenlythere's two more guys with this guy and
they're walking, you know, behindus, in the same direction as us,
(09:48):
And at that point, I'm like, ah, this is fucking weird,
man, Like, I don't likethis. I still hadn't really alerted
my wife to it because I like, I didn't know how she would respond
to it, if it would belike, oh, scream and run or
you know, call the police orsomething like that. So I'm just like
keeping an eye on these guys, which I always tell people if you're in
(10:09):
a city you're not familiar with, keep your head on a swivel, pay
attention to who's around you and what'sgoing on around you. And so I
tell her, I'm like, hey, let's let's dip out of here.
This place sucks anyways. We're notgonna go We're not gonna go to this
bar and grill where everybody's at.Like, let's just get the fuck out
of here because this city just sucks. And so we go out and we
(10:33):
were walking along the riverfront and sureenough, man, I see them all
door open and these three dudes comewalking out looking around and they they're they're
tailing us. At this point,I know, I'm like, oh,
man, these these people are followingus. This is weird as shit.
So I grab her and like justdip behind one of the support beams holding
(10:54):
up the parking garage. A buscomes by, we cross the street.
We lose these guys. I don'tI don't see him again. We get
in the car, and we getthe fuck out of Jacksonville, Florida,
and I don't care to ever goback to that city again. So I
that's my Jacksonville story. I don'tknow if you have a Jacksonville story,
or if you've spent much time thereyourself. No, man, it sounds
(11:16):
like he almost became a statistic Uhyeah. Now, anytime I've had to
go through Jacksonville is just driving, and I tried to get through it as
quick as possible. It's definitely justin that middle part of Florida where nothing's
really happening but trouble. Yeah. And then so we get out of town
and I forgot about this part, and then we realize, like, oh
(11:37):
shit, we're low on gas.We need to stop somewhere, and we
stop at this like sketch ass lookingplace. It's next to a strip club,
and I'm just like, man,we are striking out. We are
striking out in Jacksonville. And cometo find out, I talked to a
buddy later on, who's familiar withthe area, and I'm retelling this story
(11:58):
and he's like, yeah, yeah, dude, you picked like the absolute
worst part of Jacksonville to get offand get gas at. And I'm like
cool. He's like you kind oflike lucky, nothing happened to you over
the course of this trip. I'mlike, well, shit, man,
what do you do in this city? He's like, you don't go downtown,
that's for sure, So lesson learnedthere. But when I say the
(12:20):
Jacksonville Jaguars owen, what comes tomind right away for you? Oh?
Man, just a plain sense ofhate. Yeah. I just overall don't
like them. I don't like themwhen they're losers. I really don't like
them when they're winners. It's it'stough to swallow when the Jags are good,
(12:41):
because I think we've been conditioned forthe Colts being good for quite some
time, and the Houston Texans, like they've had their moments as well.
They had their stranglehold on the divisionthere for a little bit, but it's
kind of like everybody takes their turnatop the AFC South, But when the
Jags are on top, man,I don't know and I think, honestly,
it's just because of the fan base. Like I just feel like Jags
(13:03):
fans are particularly out of touch, particularly whiny when it comes to the Titans.
I don't wanna, I don't wantto insult people just on this on
this show, but it does kindof feel like there's a little bit of
extra venom behind the Jags fan Sowhen they get a chance to puff their
their chest out as the kings ofthe AFC South, it does make it
(13:24):
a little bit harder to swallow. And I think that's kind of what comes
to mind for me, is justthe the outright hate between the fan bases.
Is there a particular Jags player thatcomes to mind before any other?
Hmmm, that's a great question.Uh, David Girard. I don't know.
(13:45):
Fred Taylor, I liked, Iwas gonna go with Maurice Jones Drew,
but I for some reason, thinkingabout the quarterbacks, I go to
David Girard too, because he wasawesome man and uh, you know,
not a highly touted prospect coming outof college, but kind of went in
there and won the job and wasa tough player. The team kind of
(14:07):
took on his personality and they hada couple of playoff runs with him at
the helm. I obviously I thinkof Blake Bortles too, because that was
a fun experiment there for a fewyears, and Blake Bortles even got the
Jags to an AFC Championship game, but ultimately fizzled out and the team's turmoil
(14:28):
at quarterback over that era. Again, we talk about how, you know,
the Titans kind of go through likesimilar trajectory to the Jags, and
this is when like both teams werecoming off of the Jake Locker Blaine Gabert
duo. They both drafted quarterbacks intwenty eleven that ultimately led to them drafting
(14:50):
another quarterback and the Jags go withBlake Bortles, the Titans had Marcus Mariota.
Just kind of interesting to kind ofdocument how those those things happened.
But taking a look back, well, No, I did want to ask
you because we kind of talked abouthow the performance on the field, We've
danced around the question that I'm goingto ask you. It's almost like the
(15:13):
performance on the field doesn't really matterwhen it comes to these two teams.
Is this the one rivalry in thedivision that you feel is just personal,
no matter if the teams are goodor not. Oh absolutely, just because
there's been Like you said, it'snot the longest, strongest history, but
there's been enough time passed to wherewe could say there's you know, a
(15:35):
couple decades worth of history, soyou know, we can remember a time
when maybe the Jags whooped on us, or the Jags to remember a time
when we whooped on them. Soevery time I think you come into it,
you come into it with a personalfeeling. So we talked about it
a little bit before. These aretwo smaller market teams in the early days,
(15:56):
trying to find their footing in newmarkets. I mean, Jacksonville is
an expand team. We talked aboutthe Houston Oilers relocating to Nashville. The
Oilers were actually the jags first regularseason opponent in nineteen ninety five. The
Oilers won that game ten to three. But those first few years, man,
it really did kind of feel likeI called it Little Brother syndrome,
(16:18):
but it was it was kind oftwo fan bases, two markets, kind
of clamoring to, you know, find find their place in the grand lore
of the NFL. How much doyou think those early years of just being
new and trying to find yourself asa fan base contributed to the mentality that
(16:41):
that Titans fans have today. Yeah. Absolutely, Uh, First of all,
ten to three sounds like a realbarnburner of a game. One touchdown,
Yeah, one touchdown, that's allyou get. But yeah, just
like you said, two teams searchingfor an identity, destined to play each
(17:02):
other over and over again. Yeah, it's kind of big to start off,
right. Yeah, you know,I think every good rivalry begins with
two chips on two sets of shoulders. And it kind of felt like like
the Titans went through all that, the relocation, but Adams moving the team,
basically telling the city of Houston,if you don't want us, we're
(17:26):
getting the hell out of here. And then you had the season in Memphis,
they played games at Vanderbilt Stadium, and finally by the time we get
into what is now called Nissan Stadium, it's it that you know, the
place is rocking and it takes alittle bit to get there, and for
the Jags on the field, prettysuccessful right away. But like you don't
(17:48):
ever think when you're thinking about thelate nineties, you don't ever think about
those Jags teams, right, It'sit's kind of crazy. And I think
that's an example of why the fanbases would have chips on their shoulders.
And I think it's something that tothis day, it translates like generationally,
(18:08):
it's something that's been passed down fromgeneration to generation. Along with these two
teams going on such similar trajectories. Now, it didn't take too long.
You know, there are some likethe Houston Texans. It took them quite
a while before they were really rampedup and competitive Matt shab and Andre Johnson
and Arian Foster and back in thosedays. But for the Titans relocating to
(18:33):
Nashville and for the Jags as anexpansion team, it was only a few
years that you're talking about two ofthe best records in the AFC. The
ninety nine season was particularly special, and you think about that being the year
that the Titans go to the SuperBowl, they come up one yard short
to the Saint Louis Rams, theMusic City Miracle happens against the Buffalo Bills
(18:56):
during that postseason. But if youlook at specifically the mass between the Titans
and the Jags twenty to nineteen inJacksonville in favor of the Titans forty one
to fourteen in favor of the Titansin Nashville, and then being down fourteen
to ten at halftime, the Titansrally to score twenty three unanswered to win
(19:18):
thirty three to fourteen in Jacksonville inthe AFC Championship Game. The Jags owen,
I don't know if you're aware ofthis. The Jags finished that season
with a record of fifteen to three, fifteen and three. All three of
their losses came to the Tennessee Titans. So that, to me, when
you talk about competitiveness on the fieldresults that sort of thing, that season,
(19:45):
that ninety nine season where the Titanswere the only team to beat the
Jacksonville Jaguars and they did it threefucking times, is the first thing that
comes to mind for me when you'relooking at this rivalry. Do you still
feel like that ninety nine season isthe ultimate trump card? Does Jacksonville have
anything on Tennessee that even remotely comesclose to that season? Man, I
(20:07):
don't know, not that I couldthink of off the top of my head,
just because that level is just sopersonal, you know, if the
Titans aren't in the picture there,Jacksonville could be in Jacksonville, would be
in the super Bowl for sure, not could be, but you know,
that could have gone entirely different.Who knows. But yeah, just to
stick it to him three times andnobody else could touch it, that's pretty
(20:29):
impressive. Yeah, I mean,I think it's one of those things that
probably enhanced the bitter feelings. It'sprobably one of the earliest moments in the
rivalry that really enhanced the bitter feelingsfrom Jags fans towards Titans fans because that
team probably could have won the SuperBowl. That team probably could have beat
the Rams that year maybe, andwho knows what the trajectory of the course
(20:55):
of the entire NFL might have beenchanged. But if not for the Titans.
The one hump that the Jags couldn'tget over that season, but they
would kind of come back down tothe pack along with the Titans after the
era of Steve and Eddie. Neithercould really get over the hump in the
mid two thousands. The Titans hada couple of really bad teams in there,
as did the Jags. But whenyou look at how these teams were
(21:18):
built in the mid two thousands, you think of the names like we've already
mentioned with Fred Taylor, Maurice JonesDrew. Then you have Titans players like
Travis Henry Lindel White, Chris Johnson, both of these teams having really good
defenses. How much of the rivalrydo you think from that point it's kind
of enhanced between the fan bases bythe fact that these two teams played such
(21:42):
a similar style during this time.Yeah, it was really similar. It
was a really big strug. Ithink for the most part in those years,
the late two thousands and early twentyteams, it was really cool to
watch, like Chris Johnson go backand forth with Marias Jones Drew, even
(22:03):
though you know nothing much was happeningelse in those games, like you know
you had to running back that werereally going head to head. So yeah,
I would say a very similar style, similar style, And I think
the angle you can take off ofthat as a fan is it gives you
a direct comparison because if you're bothplaying the same style, one can look
at the other and say we doit better. And I think that is
(22:27):
something that kind of added a littlespice to the rivalry, added a little
flavor. These were two bad teamsfor the most part during the twenty tens.
I I particularly remember the honey mustardcolor Rush uniforms that the Jags wore
on Thursday Night uniform against the PowderBlues, the Baby Blues, whatever it's
(22:48):
fucking called that the Titans wore. What do you think of those? Those
honey mustard Jags uniforms owen among theworst in the in the league's history.
Absolutely, Jacksonville's been through a lotof different interesting uniforms and some of them
were hit But yeah, that honeymustard was just gaudy, tacky, rough
(23:11):
in the eyes. What did youmake of the mid twenty ten seasons when
they had that blended helmet that waslike half black, half gold with the
Jaguar logo on it. Yeah, still not a fan of that either.
Like I said, they went througha lot of interesting fashion choices, and
you know sometimes like when they gotout there in the all black like it
(23:32):
looked incredible. But yeah, therewas a lot of misses along the way
as well. I know I saidthat they were both pretty bad teams throughout
the twenty tens. Later in thedecade is when the Titans would hire Mike
Vrabel and get things on course, with back to back to back to back
pretty good teams, but the twentyseventeen season does stick out, particularly because
(23:56):
both teams were playoff teams. Bothteams seem to be getting things right,
heading in the right direction. TheTitans make the playoffs as a wild card
and actually upset the Kansas City Chiefsas an underdog. That was the game
that Marcus Mariota throws the touchdown passto himself. The Jags win the AFC
(24:17):
South and make it to the AFCChampionship Game, where they choke one to
the New England Patriots. The Patriotswho earned a berth in the title game
by beating the Titans the week before. It's kind of interesting to think about
this era of the Titans Jags rivalrybecause it was almost like the byproduct of
(24:40):
all of those bad years finally liketurning some things around and luck going their
way. But there's no way thatthe Titans would have beaten the Patriots that
year. And I mean you're talkingabout this was still when the Patriots were
the New England Patriots. Hook BlakeBortles had a hell of a game in
(25:02):
the title game, but it didtake some more Patriots heroics for them to
come back and win that game. But I'm just curious your thoughts. Owen.
Let's let's just play Devil's advocate here, complete hypothetical and say the Titans
do beat the Patriots that year andwe get another Titans Jags AFC championship game.
Do you think that was an opportunityfor the Titans that slipped through their
(25:25):
fingertips? Could they have beaten theJags that year? I mean, it's
entirely possible. I don't know.Jacksonville seemed like they were really hot that
year. That was just kind oftheir year, So I don't know.
I couldn't say confidently that it wouldhave gone their way. I'd go with
you, Yeah, I think thatwas kind of Jacksonville's year in the AFC
South. But like you said, yeah, that was prime Brady. Nothing
(25:48):
was getting in the way of him. They demolished us, right, Yeah,
it was. It was a prettybad game. I mean, the
Titans came out on the opening driveand I think they hit Davis to go
up seven to nothing, and itkind of looked like, oh man,
who are these feisty, upstart Titansgonna come in here and do something?
But then the Patriots just turned iton and just annihilated the Titans. But
(26:12):
yeah, I do think Jacksonville shouldhave won the AFC Championship game. I
mean, they should have gone tothe super Bowl. That was the team
was that good. They were capableof getting there, and it just it
was just a choke job and prime, you know, Tom Brady heroics that
swung it the other way. Ilook at those two rosters and it's fun
(26:34):
to play what if because it definitelyadds a layer to this rivalry if they
meet in the twenty seventeen AFC ChampionshipGame. But I kind of feel like
the Jags would have I don't thinkthe Jags would have choked that game away.
I'll just put it that way.But still fun to kind of look
back at. But it does getus to the modern era of this rivalry,
(26:57):
and I do want to relive ofhow the season concluded for the Titans
each of the past two seasons.Twenty twenty two Josh Dobbs Game, the
controversial Josh Allen scoop and score touchdownthat kept the Titans from miraculously still somehow
winning the division despite the rash ofinjuries they had and just how bad that
(27:22):
roster turned down the stretch in twentytwenty two, Do you hold this one
against the Jags Owen, or doyou think that they might have spared the
Titans and embarrassing playoff loss there?Yeah? I remember not going into that
game with a ton of optimism. We were like, hey, if we
can make it to the playoffs, awesome, but we look really rough right
now. I think Jacksonville just capitalizeoff of that. Yeah, And then
(27:48):
last year, Trevor Lawrence incomplete onfourth and two, the Titans run out
the clock and they actually eliminate Jacksonvillefrom the playoff race. So, regardless
of how you feel about the twentytwenty two season, in that moment,
did it feel pretty good to geta little bit of revenge, a little
bit of payback a year later fromthe Jacks doing it to the Titans?
(28:14):
I mean absolutely, we were reallybad last season, just to be honest
with you. So it disa endedon a high note of some sort.
Fair enough, fair enough? SoI mean, where where do you feel
like this rivalry stands? Right now? With the window being open for Jacksonville
for a couple of seasons, thewindow slamming shut on the Titans undergoing a
(28:40):
regime change. Now, it kindof feels like this rivalry is at at
a point where it's like two shipspassing in the night and less of these
teams are on the same level. But what do you think about where these
two teams are right now and thehealth of this rivalry? Is it alive
and well or are they too farapart to be competitive right now? I
(29:03):
mean, I think if anything,it's as strong as ever. Those two
season enders kind of throve it rightthere that even if they're not up to
par, that this game is goingto be played intensely. Yeah, it's
really It really is interesting because they'vebeen games between two middling to bad teams
each of the last season finales, and yet like nobody outside of Nashville or
(29:30):
Jacksonville seems to really care about thesegames. But for the fan bases themselves,
none of that matters. Man Likeit is heart and soul, and
so I think I think the rivalrybetween the two fan bases is incredibly healthy,
alive and well. But I willbe interested to see what the games
(29:51):
look like this season because I thinkthere's a chance the Titans could be better
than people think they are going tobe, and I think there's a chance
the jack could be a lot worsethan people think they're going to be.
So I don't know. I don'tknow if we're gonna get another of those
situations where the late season games matterall that much. Like I said,
it kind of feels like these arethese are franchises heading in opposite directions right
(30:15):
now. The Titans got another bigwin over Jacksonville this offseason when they lured
Calvin Ridley away from Jacksonville, whois openly stated he wanted to stay in
Jacksonville and chose the Titans because ofa conversation he had with with Ran Carthon.
(30:36):
And now you know, Calvin Ridleyis closer to his wife's family in
Huntsville, He's making plenty of money, ain't ain't no, Ain't no doubt
about that, and seems to bea really good fit with the Titans so
far. How big of a windo you think it was for the Titans
to get him away from Jacksonville? And does that add another layer to this
(30:57):
rivalry as well? Yeah, Ithink anytime that you could seal a high
profile player away from a division rival, it's big. YEA you know,
the people that want to go againstit will say that we overpaid, but
I think that's just kind of howthe market is now. Yeah, if
you get a high profile wide receiver, you're gonna end up paying for him
(31:19):
big time for sure. If youdon't find them in the draft, that's
just the cost of it. ButI think that's really big. I think
it'll definitely add some more heat tothat those two games in December. Yeah,
yeah. Do you have any anyfavorite moments from from this rivalry?
(31:41):
Like I immediately the first thing thatcomes to mind is Dereck Henry's ninety nine
yard touchdown run. But then Ialso think about Marcus Mariota's stiff arm of
Barry Church. And I'm sure I'mmissing a ton of moments from this rivalry,
but those are the first two thingsthat pop into my head. What
about yours? Yeah, I meanthe Derrick Henry ninety nine yard run is
(32:05):
you know, one of legends that'sall talk about. I think that,
you know, if you ever getthe chance to go back and watch that
AFC championship game that they had inthe ninety nine two thousand season, that
was big and a lot of funto watch. For sure. For sure.
So that's it. We've reached theend of my agenda. We've talked
(32:25):
about this Titans Jags rivalry in depth. But Owen, I'm gonna ask you
you got any any parting thoughts beforewe get on out of here. I
think I'm good to go. I'mexcited to see how this year plays out.
I'm with you. I think thatmaybe the early onset of how these
two teams are going to be maynot be entirely accurate, and I'm excited
(32:46):
to see how it plays out thisyear. Is Trevor Lawrence the guy for
the Jacksonville Jaguars, I mean, you sure hope he is if you're you're
a Jacksonville fan. Yeah, Ithink I think he's good. And I
think, uh, you know, initially having you know, Urban Meyer in
there was just a really tough drawfor him. Cool. I think,
(33:07):
uh, he's starting to look alittle better and a little more polished,
uh under this new regime, anduh, I don't know, I think
it'll be interesting to watch. Well, that's gonna do it for us today.
