Our stay at the historic Menger Hotel in San Antoni, Texas was an incredible experience. In part one we went over the history of the hotel and some of the ghost stories associated with it. On this part we will go over our investigation and what we were able to find. Also, we may have a few unanswered questions we need help with. Listen as we talk about our Estes session and EVP sessions. Thanks again to 1859 Historic Hotels for making this episdoe and investigation possible.

ever truly be explained or understood? Many say no, I say bet Hi.
I'm Kristen, host of the paranormGirl podcast. My show is a

or personal story at a time.Overcome your fear, celebrate the unknown,
and arrive at a well informed understandingby catching new episodes of paranorm Girl

(00:44):
about to get ready to go intopart two of our investigation and stay at
the haunted and historic Manger Hotel indowntown San Antonio, Texas. We're going
to go through evidence on this episodeand the things that we encountered. So
sit back, relax, and hopethat you enjoy. Are two of our
investigation at the Manger Hotel. Likeyou said, we didn't sleep in that

(01:14):
room. The king Red Room. But we had another room and I don't
think I would ever want to sleepin that room. It is uninviting,
Like I said, no, afterwhat we've experienced in there and what we
did while we were conducting our experimentsand stuff like that, Like I wouldn't
want to sleep in there either. Now I will say this, They said
it is their most requested room,Like that's the room that it's like the

(01:36):
most haunted room in San Antonio.Well that was what was so funny,
is like, so we were goingin there on our final night to do
a little bit more work and everything, and we were walking over to it,
and there was this couple that washanging out outside the door and everything,
and they were kind of like,it's, well, see how you
get to the room is there's alittle like it has its own little personal
hall day and you go through. And so we were going over there to

(01:57):
open the door and do our lastlittle thing that night, and I see
them. They have drinks in theirhand and they're like looking at the room.
They're taking a picture of the doorand stuff, and I'm looking at
them and look at them, andwe don't want to go out behind them
and be like move out of theway, you know. So we're just
kind of casually off to the sidetalking and then I see them leave and
I just like turned to them andI said, y'all want to come in

(02:17):
this room? And they were likewhat. And I'm like, do y'all
want to come see the King RanchRoom? And they're like yeah, yeah.
So I thought, man, Ihad to let them. They are
so curious about it. I hadto let them in. Yeah. I
would want to see it. Iwould want someone to do that for me,
So I had to let them come. It was cool. Yeah.

(02:38):
So anyways, Yeah, to getback to like our story, So King
Ranch Room, we had some thingshappen before I want to talk about that.
I'll talk about Angela since we talkedabout cigar smoke. Now. Angela
gave us the tour everywhere in somehistory and she was talking about some paranormal
ish things that happen, and shementioned this one particular hallway where employees say

(03:05):
they had experienced missing time. Yeah, and it was really strange like and
then she said there was this onehallway and I don't think if she knew
if they were the same hallways, because she had heard the stories and then
she had an experience in a hallwaytoo where she felt like this pressure or
whatever on her and it made herfeel really uncomfortable. So she was talking

(03:27):
about that and we after we talkedwith her, we were like, let's
go look for this hallway, youknow, let's go see if we feel
anything walking in this hallway, youknow. So we're walking and right before
we turned this corner or returned thiscorner, we got and this is before
the King Ranch smoke hit us.Yeah, we were hit with a puff
of cigar smoke. And we werelike, well, this was the first

(03:49):
one. I think the King Ranchone was second. And I was like,
oh my gosh, did you didyou smile that? You were like
yeah, I was recording. Iwas like, let me go back.
Let's go back and walk again,because maybe somebody's smoking. It's a non
smoking hotel, but damn no,people are doing shit. And I'm like,
well, let's like walk. Sowe're like turn around. We walked
back and we're like no, it'sgone. And then we turned around and

(04:10):
did it again. We're like nope, Like I don't smell anything. So
it was weird. It was justthat a few seconds of just like a
cigar smoke, and then it wasgone again. So we did walk down
some hallways. We walked down onehallway which she talked about having that pressure
on her and we didn't really feelanything. But I'll say this that the

(04:31):
hallway was disorienting just the way itwas built. It was like an added
on hallway to connect I think, from an old part to the new part
of the hotel. It was slightlyon an incline, there was windows on
both sides. It was narrow, and it was no air conditioning, and
it was hot and just walking thereyou felt nauseated. And I'm like,

(04:54):
I don't know, like I've justbuilt gross in this hall because it's just
this little weird so section of ahallway on either side of the walls and
everything of it too. There werelike these like these little like decorative like
like uh not not I'm saying,I want to say shingles and that is
not the right word, like blindsor something blinds or whatever, right,

(05:14):
Like it was just speeds or somethinglike that, and it was disorienting.
Yeah, it's like the way thatthe sun was coming in. So I'll
use it this as an example.Anybody who's been to like a Ripley's Believe
It or Not. They always theyhave that tunnel that you can walk through
that is disorienting. And I feltthe same way walking through that hallway that

(05:35):
I feel at that Ripley's Believe Itor Not when they have like all the
things spinning around and everything like that. So yeah, I feel like you
have the combination of the incline, the temperature, massive temperature change in the
hallway going from like a normal airconditioned hallway to a hot hallway. Then
you have the sun coming in eitherside and little beams of light and everything

(05:57):
like that. Like ing it is, it's like and I think it's just
like your senses make it seem thatway. We spent a little bit of
time in there just to see ifwe could get any sort of activity recorded,
and we didn't. We are, yeah, no EMF or anything,
so but it was disorienting. Wefelt like like what she was telling us

(06:20):
immediately as soon as we got inthere, we just wanted to kind of
like figure out maybe not everything isparanormal, but that I don't believe that
was the same hallway because she saidit was the maid's cleaning rooms that were
doing like some weird lost time.Yeah, she I think it was the
third floor. Yeah, that waswhere people were losing time, like they

(06:43):
would be like, I have noidea here, which is wild to me.
So some of the weird things thatkind of happened to us that we're
gonna explained before we get into theKeen Ranch room. So right away when
we got into our room we checkedin. I have like this shopping bag,
and I have the noise canceling headphones, my EMF and the spirit boxes

(07:05):
and I always had my spirit boxinside of its own little box, but
I had it out this time becauseI was messing with it like at my
house, and then I just threwit in the bag. So there's not
a lot of things in this bag. For anybody wondering which spirit box we
use, we use the sp sevenanody is wondering while we're describing it.
Yeah. So so we're there inthe room. We put all our stuff

(07:29):
down. We had been you know, we we had gone out and did
stuff and we came back and thespirit box was on and I was like,
oh, this is on. Ithad just been sitting there and it
wasn't on before. And so Ilooked at it and I was like,
oh, well, it was notin its box, so maybe like something
was pressing on it and it turnedit on. The thing is you have
to like if anyone knows they havethat, you have to press and hold

(07:53):
the button for it to turn on. Right. Yeah, So I just
kind of brushed it off. Iwas like whatever, I put it back
in its box so it wouldn't doit again, and run the bat out.
We went out again, came back, it was on inside of the
box again. I was like,no way, I can't believe that has
never happened for I've never had itturn on like that before. That has
never happened. I have it inmy room twenty four seven, doesn't turn

(08:15):
off. I say, it's beena little bit since we've been to the
manger and everything. As it happenedagain. Now, yeah, I would
be creep the fuck out of that. Yeah, you'd be like, I'm
out of here, I'll see youlater. Yeah. So that was my
car. That was something creepy, and I think like the other thing is
creepy with like the EMF went offon the bed. Yeah, I put

(08:37):
it down, it wasn't lighting up, and then all of a sudden it
starts beeping and lighting up, andI mean, I'm pretty sure we debunked
it, but it like freaked meout at first because I thought, no
way, because there was a delayedresponse of it going off. It didn't
go off right away, and Iwas like, no way, there's something
on my bed. But I thinkwe figured it was just electrical, so
that was something fun. Also, two times a TV went off when we

(09:01):
were in the room we were sleeping. It turned itself off twice, and
we kind of just chalked it upto and it probably was it was just
like a malfunction of the TV orit was on a timer or something right
like. Yet, we tried todebunk it by leaving it on all day
and while we were out to seeif it would just turn itself off after

(09:22):
like an activity, and it neverdid, so I don't know if it
was maybe it has a nighttime timeron it, I know, like so
it would have been super late atnight when it went off. In my
office that I use every day hasa timer on it where it will like
eventually turn itself off, But itdoes it every single time without fault.

(09:45):
Okay, this is really strange tome that we would have the TV on
and it's not like we were goingto bed like super early. We were
going to bed late because we weredoing investigation stuff and everything. And yeah,
we would have the TV on andwe would leave it on and then
we would have your an investigation. You need to have some noise, Yeah,
you need to have something. Tryto go to sleep. So the

(10:09):
TV is on and it would beoff when we would wake up. And
so we're thinking, you know,that's it's you know, it's a long
time that we're we're asleep and everything. But it's not like, you know,
the TV has been on like asuper long period of time. And
so we decided to try and debunkit by leaving it on all day.
Now we had gone out. Weleft early in the morning to do a

(10:30):
sight seeing tour with the City sightSeeing San Antonio. Thank you to them,
by the way for allowing us todo that. So we did that
and we were out like literally forhours and hours and hours, and we
came back and the TV was stillon. So I can't I can't explain
it. I mean, obviously there'sthings that can be explained, like you
know, like sleep timers, defaulttimers, screen savers, things like that.

(10:54):
But for it to not work atsome points and and and then work
at other points doesn't make it justdoesn't make sense to me. So actually
there's a rational explanation for it,Yeah, there has to be. It
was just it's just a weird, weird, weird thing. So that so
the first night we were there, like we said before, from Hay Strangeness,

(11:16):
we met up with Aaron and Sarah. I had a drink with them,
brought them up to the King Ranchso that we could do a spirit
box session with them. And BJwent first and he did the whole blindfold
and noise canceling headphones. He wassitting on the bed, on King's bed

(11:37):
where he died. Yeah, Aaronand Sarah were sitting on that little antique
couch next to the bed, andI was in like in line with the
door, and you were foot ofthe bed. You were in the punishment
chair the chair, yeah, yeah, at the foot of the bed.
So several times ZERI the spirit boxsession, I heard the floor in the

(12:01):
living room area creak. So therewas this half side table by the door,
and when you walked by it intothis little hallway that led to the
bathroom and then to the bedroom. There was a creaking sound, so every
time we walked by, you couldhear like it was creaking. Pretty much
like several times during BJ's investigation,I was hearing this creaking sound outside over

(12:22):
there, and I would hear it, you know, and it would catch
my attention. And I saw Sarahseveral times kind of lean and look out
towards the door to the living room, and I was thinking, like,
she's hearing it, She's hearing whatI'm hearing too, you know, And
I saw, you know, atone point she whispered something to Aaron or
something, and I was like, okay, so like I'm not the only

(12:45):
ones. And then I kind ofput it out of my head because we
were doing the session. And laterI asked you, I was like,
you know, text them and seeif they heard the floor creaking, and
Sarah said she didn't, but shefelt like someone was in that room watching
right right. Yeah. Yeah, they said that there was something like that

(13:05):
was just like there was a presencein there in that like living room area,
and it just kept like you know, and what's really awesome is we
captured the creaking noises on the videobecause we have a video of the spare
Box session and you can hear thecreaking noises intermittently throughout the whole video,

(13:26):
and I'm yes, I was afraidthe phone wasn't going to pick it up,
but it did. So yeah.J went first, and we had
some like you know, interesting thingshappen, and I'm just gonna go over
a few things that happened with him. So uh, Like I said,
BJ sitting on the bed and hesays one of the things, he says,

(13:50):
his look around, And I asked, do you want us to look
around? I can't see you andBJ says he's under here. I was
thinking, like, I'm not lookingunder that bed. That is creepy.
As I was like so self consciousafter you said that, like I almost
wanted to feel I like, yeah, pull it lights up. I was
like, uh, because I'm sittingat the foot of the bed, you

(14:11):
know. With my I was like, oh, man, listen, I
will say this though, like evenif you did feel like that or anything
like on all the recordings that wehad, whether it was like the video
of the actual session going on orthe EVP stuff that we went through,
and everything, like you sounded verybrave the entire time I try. You
did put on a good show.Yeah. So Aaron then says, hoop's

(14:33):
under there, and there was noanswer, right, And I asked,
can you tell us your name? And DJ says I don't care to and
then I say, my name's youknow, Mitra, and I just want
to talk to you a little bit, and you say, don't bother me.
And then I'm a recollection to thiseither. I don't know if anybody
else ever does the methods, Like, I have no recollection of the things

(14:56):
that I said during it at all. Well, it's funny because you would
say things and they would just befunny and I would just be snickering and
laughing there. So there's many timesin which I'm like kind of snickering and
laughing. So Aaron asks, isthis your room? Are we intruding in
your space? And then you say, doesn't matter to me. You're a
liar, you've been beat and don'ttrust her, okay, And then I

(15:20):
start laughing again, and I kindof turned to Aaron Sarah and I said,
did you hear that guys shouldn't trustme or whatever? And then we're
like snickering and laughing and then PJgoes, what's your last name? So
then I say my last name andthen I ask what is your last name?
And BJ goes ghost and I askare you a ghost? And he
says no, And I said, then what are you? And you say

(15:43):
in my home? I say youare in your home? And then you
say you're laughing, which I hadjust been laughing and it's so creepy.
Yeah, And I say, isthis where you live? And BJ says,
you're wise, the room is nothere, which just kind of like
blows my mind a little bit.The room is not here. It kind

(16:07):
of like, I don't know,it's like on a different plane of existence.
The room really isn't here, youknow what I mean. They're a
ghost. They're saying they're not aghost, but they're a ghost, or
maybe they don't know they're a ghost, and the room isn't really here.
Yeah, like we're not really here. Like it when you start thinking about
it's a little it's a little trippy, it is. So anyways, you
say your wise, the room isnot here, and they immediately say,

(16:30):
noise canceling, it's true. AndI'm like, okay, because he's got
the noise canceling headphones on and it'slike, really, you know, it's
really weird. So I say,do you like this room? Is this
your room? And then you saystop it? I mean it, And
then BJ says I could grab him. And then I start to kind of
like egg the ghost on and sayyou can grab BJ. You can touch

(16:55):
him. I said, he scareseasily. If you touch him, he'll
jump, and then BJ says he'sweak. I say he's not weak,
he just gets a little frightened. You can scare him if you touch him.
BJ says so what. BJ saysso what? And then you say
scary lie, and I say youcan. You can scare BJ. I

(17:17):
said, are you scared? Andthen BJ says hand and then he pauses
and he goes higher, and Isay you can touch him with your hand,
and then BJ says my bed AndI ask is this your bed?
And BJ's you know, sitting init and he says yes. So at
this point I'm thinking I'm talking to, you know, Richard King, and
I kind of asked, you know, am I talking to Captain Richard King?

(17:40):
And BJ says never, never doit and then he says all rise,
So I said, do you wantus to stand up. So I
stood up in Aaron and Sarah alsostood up. And when we stood up,
BJ suddenly like kind of gasps andjumps, like he jumps in his
skin and he rips off the blindfoldin the headphones and he looks around and

(18:02):
you can see him in the videoslike he's surprised, like why are y'all
standing? Yeah, and he saidI felt like I was shaky, And
I said, did you feel likeyou were being And you kind of looked
up at your arm and you said, yeah, I feel like something touched
me. And I was like, well, I asked it to grab touch
you and you were like what, that is not the only time that I

(18:23):
got touched in that room. Yeah, whatever was in there took a liking
to me, and there was alot of crazy stuff that I feel like
I opened it up because I waslike, yo, you can touch him.
And then after that it was messingwith us. That's the thing I

(18:44):
did. But I think after likethat conversation talking about scaring you and stuff
like that, I think so.So Aaron did it next, and we
didn't really get much with Aaron. This was the first time doing the spirit
Box and I don't think he wascoming with it, you know, which
I totally understand because I think ittakes a while to kind of condition yourself

(19:04):
to it, you know what Imean. And then I did it.
I was not I was just like, I was not comfortable. But the
very first thing he says, weask who is here with us? And
he says White. So immediately we'regoing to Sally White and we're asking a
Sally White and everything, but we'renot doing any answers or anything. He
does say the name Peter. Hesays home, and he says stay.

(19:26):
Yeah. So it was kind oflike a lot of the things that we
were getting with the Spirit box,and every time we were getting was a
lot of the like home, thisis my place, is my home,
this is my room, Like thisis this is mine, this is my
area. You know. That wasthe first That was the first night that
week. That was the first night. Yeah. So next night we do

(19:47):
another spirit session and I believe that'swhen we did the cigar smelling. Was
that time we had split it intotwo, so we had gone we went
in there in the middle of theafternoon and you did the spirit about session
and then we also set some equipmentup to try and capture some things throughout
the day while we were off.One of the things I tried to do

(20:08):
so I put a cat ball ona piece of paper. Yeah, in
the area that I was hearing thefloor creaking. So I was like,
this is exactly where the floor iscreaking. I heard it multiple times.
I'm gonna put this piece of paperhere, I'm gonna put the cat ball
on. I'm gonna draw a circlearound it, right, and if this
moves, we're gonna know. Youwill know. Yeah, And it did

(20:29):
not move. No, very justpointed yeah on the table the desk that
was in the parlor too, becauseI was hoping that it would move off
of it, because I was like, if it rolls off of there,
then we know that it was touched. One also did not move, so
so nothing happened. So I gounder from my spirit box session. That
second night, I'm sitting on thatlittle antique couch next to the bed,

(20:52):
not on the bed, and mysession got really weird. Yeah, really
really weird. So BJ talks andhe's asking who's here, and I'm saying
what seems to be nonsense, andthen aggressively I say four what's your problem?
And I went back and counted howmany times I said hi, because

(21:14):
it's like this happens all the timein our spirit box, Like we'll start
it and somebody will say hi,you know, and it's like a person's
coming in, like a spirit's walkingin and saying hi. I said Hi
four times, and you kept talkingand you had asked like how many are
here or whatever, and it waslike I was. It was like they
were frustrating. They were like, yeah, four, you know, and

(21:34):
they were just like they said four, what's your problem? Can't you count?
Yea? So it was pretty funny. And then I say greetings,
and BJ says he starts talking, and then I say everyone greetings, and
then I started talking about a peacock, and then I say spirit and then
I say next in wings and immediatelyyour brain went to peacock the streaming service,

(22:00):
but I think they were talking abouta bird cock and they were saying
wings. And I tried to figureout if there was ever like a peacock
on the property, because I knowsometimes own hotels they had like exotic weird
animals walking around just for looky lose, you know. We couldn't confirm if
there were any peacocks there, butI thought it was weird. So and

(22:22):
then I say, angry, it'sonly for profit and marked. And you
say what is marked? And Isaid soul. Yeah, you said your
soul is marked by who? AndI say folks. Folks. Says in
like, you know, like people, folks you know, and I say
folks. And then I say it'sall mixed up. There's none. It's

(22:45):
hard God. And BJ's like, what is hard? And I say,
peace, you have to see,I believe see. And BJ says he's
asking, like to knock on somethingso that we know that somebody's there,
and I say, don't touch, don't knock on something. I guess.
And then this is where it startsto get weird. I say, help,

(23:08):
it hurts a curse and then Jesusand BJ's like, okay, wait,
we don't know of any curse inthis hotel or anything. You're talking
about what's going on here? Right? Yeah? Like I needed an explanation
for what the heck was? Yeah, And he asks he had been asking
for a name, and he asksagain, who are we speaking with?

(23:29):
Tell me your name? And thenI hear something whispered in my ear not
through the spirit box. Yes,this is in my ear, and I
was in disbelief and I didn't evenwant to repeat it because I was like,
no, I did not just hearthis. And when you watch the
video you can see me shaking myhead no as I say it, because

(23:51):
I was in disbelieved. But itwhispered demon in my ear, and I
did not believe it when I heardit, like I felt like it was
messing with me and it was makingme say demon. And BJ immediately goes,
wow, okay, I'm not abig demon guy. Yeah, And
then I say break And then Isay break and BJ says, are you

(24:15):
playing a trick on us? Ordo you want to do you want to
try to take a break or you'retrying to break us? And then I
say break, sit down, lookup? And then I say running naked?
Can I see symptoms? Can Itell you that? When you said
sit down, look up? LikeI very very slowly looked up. Oh

(24:37):
yeah. I was like, ohmy god, Like what am I going
to see? Anytime anytime you saysomething like turn around, look behind you,
I do all those things. SaysI'm like, okay, I'm gonna
do it, Like what am Igonna see. I'm gonna look up and
I'm gonna see like the grudge likeperson like crawling on the something. No,
thank you, I don't want tosee this. So anyways, yeah,

(24:59):
I'm saying these. I'm saying runningnaked, see symptoms twenty years old.
And then I say sin much, and you're like, well we sin
sometimes, you know, and you'regoing And then I say twenty zero soon,
twenty safe and then I say thename Jessica R. And BJ asks
who is Jessica? And I sayme, and then I say raped locked

(25:26):
twenty six seven C. And thensomething comes in and says good evening,
Jessica and says hear me, andBJ says be loud, and I say
words, and BJ asked, isJessica being silence? And I say Jessica
again, and BJ asked, ifsomething happened to you? And I say,

(25:48):
Hayden priest Faith died seventy Chase forests, trapped, Chase and it was
just so wild, and BJ's askingwho is chasing you? You're trapped.
I'm trying to help you, andthen I say I know because he was
getting like, you know, becausehe wasn't getting the answers he wanted,

(26:11):
and he was like, I'm tryingto help you, and it was just
like she was just like, Iknow, I know you're trying to help
me. It was just such athe way I said, I know,
it was so weird to your response, like things got really chaotic really fast
during your session there the responses,I was like so overwhelmed that I just
didn't even know what to do atsome point. And then I'm even kidding

(26:33):
you, I'm not even joking.I start hearing things from the other room
and yeah, well I went outthere. Well this is before, this
is before, so I'm so,I say, I know, and he
says again, I'm trying to helpyou. And then I say watching,
and BJ says who is watching? And I say chase. And this is

(26:57):
when you get touched again and youset it on camera. You're like,
something just touched me. And thenyou're like, I don't give you permission
to touch me. And then Isay switched heads. And this is when
you walk into the living room. And right when you walk into the room
the living room, I say,hi, like something was there with you

(27:22):
and you're safe off you're saying thingsin the other room and it's not I
can't really make out what you're saying, but I'm saying chase again and then
safe and it's just like the weirdestthing. While you're in there. I
also say hurt Henry, which wasSally White's husband, and then I say

(27:42):
watch and I said smashed his somethingand I can't make it out, and
then I said three, and thensmashed again, and then Elizabeth, and
then I hear another whisper in myear, not in the not through the
spear box, like in my earhere, shut up, turn it off.

(28:03):
Yeah, and BJ's like, okay, like that's it now, like
he was done. He goes overthere, scares me out of it again,
you know, freaked me the hellout now more. All of that
happened while all of that is goingon, and you're getting the whisper in
your ear. Did you get iton camera too? That I like,
at that point have literal chills upand down my entire body. You said

(28:29):
it, you said something on there. But it was just so weird because
I said Jessica of the name threetimes, I believe, so I filmed
as though there was something over me, almost like it was like like a
blanket of whatever, and I gotcold and it was like from the back

(28:51):
bottom of my leg all the wayup to my head. It got cold,
and I got tingly and if youremember and if you recall correct,
we went back to our room afterthat and I passed out. I was
drained of energy. And that hasnever happened to me before at any investigation

(29:12):
that we've ever done. I dothat's that's that's that's that's not me,
you know, I do not. That doesn't happen to me. And I
got touched multiple times, and thenthat last time when it literally felt like
there was something there like running itselfup and down me. I don't It
just took so much out of me. And I don't know if it was

(29:33):
using my energy to communicate with youand it was just like like siphoning it
off or something, but I don'tknow, but it was when I was
doing it. Yeah, I don'tknow how to describe when I don't want
to say the word a trance, but that's what it felt like. I
was in the zone. I guessI was like in the zone with the

(29:55):
spirit box, and it just suddenlystarted to come really easily and fast,
Like she said, channel it stop. It was like channeling something and it
was just becoming easy, you knowwhat I mean. Yeah, And I
was my heart was racing because she'ssaying like raped, chase, locked trap,
you know, and I'm like thinking, my heads were going wild.

(30:18):
I was like, what the hellhappened to Jessica? You know, what
happened to this girl? You know? And it just kind of like shocked
me because we didn't even we haven'theard any stories about any Jessica there,
you know, And we asked themeverybody that we came across, like this,
the name Jessica mean anything? Likecan you go through things? They
mean? They went through employee recordsfor us. Jessica did not come up.

(30:41):
No. And I got the nameJessica three times her being chased.
I think it was like three orfour times it came through. And it's
just like it was incredible and likeme being like, you know, I'm
gonna play detective. I'm over there. I've been searching all throughout, you
know, the entire time, scaryback, who was this Jessica? And
I'm trying to just do generic shirtsas like Jessica missing in Santonio, Jessica

(31:03):
killed in Santo, like any anykind of thing. Here's the thing.
Jessica as a very common name, and a lot of bad things have happened
to Jessica's not just in Santonio, but in Texas and all over the country.
So I don't think we'll find anyanswers with Jessica. But it was
really weird, and it was likeshe really wanted to come through and say

(31:26):
what happened, you know, andmaybe she's just kind of stuck there and
need somebody to say thing. Andwe kind of this conversation about why would
she be there, Like if itwasn't associated with the hotel, you know,
maybe she's just coming through because therewas an opportunity because somebody had a
device and she was able to justchannel and come through, and she didn't
have anything to do with the hotel, maybe not even with Santonio. You

(31:49):
know, who the hell knows howthese things work. Well, you know,
we already we already discussed earlier thats that San Antonio that is is
the most haunted hotel in San Antonio, Right, there's a lot of activity
there. They said that there's Ithink mostly thirty two ghosts. Thirty two
different spirits have been identified, notfully identified, but they've been identified as

(32:13):
thirty two separate different types. Andso that got me thinking about, you
know, if we had this othername coming through from somebody else and everything,
what if these places like that thatalready have a lot of spirits attached
to it. They constantly have peoplecoming in and out, there's people that
work there all the time. It'sa very lively area downtown. What if

(32:34):
something like that becomes like a conduitfor spiritual energy, right, if it's
out there and it needs a placewhere it can exist, wouldn't it go
to someplace that's like a high energyplace like that already, you know what
I mean, Yeah, it's justdrawn to it. Who knows, I
think it's it's I mean, it'sentirely possible, obviously, everything and I

(32:57):
don't know, like there's so manyJessica's, But the significant thing is if
anyone's listening to. The significant thingwas her name was Jessica, And we
kept getting the number twenty, andthe last thing was twenty and there was
a pause in six almost like itwas twenty six. So I don't know
if that was she was trying toget to twenty six, but she kept
doing twenty twenty and then last wastwenty six, or if it was a

(33:21):
year twenty twenty, or if shewas twenty years old, because the last
the first was twenty years old.Yeah, so twenty is significant somehow,
So Jessica twenty and if she wasmissing yea, if she was great,
if she is trapped and locked somewhere. But it was running naked in a
forest. That's what I get thisimage of you now. And it's weird

(33:43):
because when you're doing these sessions,it's almost like I'm getting an image of
something happening too, and that's whatI was getting. Lunny naked being chased
in a forest is what I'm getting. So, hey, guys, this
is bj from Unrefined and I'm hereto talk to you about the Black Stuff,
the wonderful sponsor of this episode.Like many of you, I was
getting my soap and my deodorant andeverything from the grocery store, and it

(34:07):
turns out I've been doing it allwrong. Natural soap and natural deodorant is
definitely the way to go. Ihave been using the black Stuff for about
two months now, and I amso glad that I changed. My skin
feels healthier I feel better and mostimportantly, I smell good. This is
handmade natural soap that is made rightin Ireland. Our friend John doesn't use
anything bad in there the sense I'llcome from essential oils and other natural things.

(34:30):
My personal favorite happens to be theblack Stout. I think it smells
the best and honestly I just feelgood after I put it on. Right
now, a favorite from black Stuffcustomers is back Arthur's Choice. The soap
and deodorant is available for you.Get the black Stuff right now the black
Stuff dot Com. Use promo codeUnrefined and say fifteen percent off your first
order. Make the switch like Idid, feel healthier and support small business

(34:53):
the black Stuff dot Com. Anybodyknows anything bit just sign eificant to anyone.
I don't know why it would be, but I just have like I
feel like I need to say something. Yeah, So that was that.
We didn't get any answers from anyof the stuff or anything of who that
could have been an employer or anything. And clearly no other person has gotten

(35:15):
that. And maybe she just reachedout to us because we had this device,
and maybe because I was a girland she wanted to come through to
me, you know, I don'tknow. Yeah, we tried the next
days when we were there to contacther again and we had no luck.
The next day we were there,we decided to do some spirit box and

(35:35):
EVP sessions. Well, we didone EVP session in the King Ranch room.
Yeah, and I don't think wegot anything significant on that. There
was there was absolutely nothing conclusive withthat. Also, it's important to note
that, you know, we wereat a very active public self and where
the King Ranch suite sits is literallyright above the street and the entrance to

(35:59):
the River Center, so there wasa lot of background noise. So there
wasn't anything super definitive on the EVPsession by itself. There was not a
whole lot that I could say thatI heard or anything. And we were
in there, you know, wewere asking questions for like fifteen minutes or
so. You know, it wasn'tlike it was a seriod of time,
but there wasn't there was nothing inthere, Like, there was nothing that

(36:21):
jumped out of me or anything. So it was unfortunate that it wasn't completely
silent because sometimes we'd hear something andwe couldn't figure out if that was hotel
noise, or not. So itwas just kind of like, well,
we can't really use that because wecan't make heads our tails. Yeah.
So go back the last day andwe decide to do a living room and

(36:44):
we have the digital recorder going forEVP and we have the video and we're
doing Spearbox at the same time withthe headphones, so just to kind of
cross reference to see if we couldget answer on the EVP from the spearbox
as well, just kind of backthings up. So BJ goes first,

(37:06):
he's in the elevator room and thenyou say immediately you're like six, yeah,
six, then you say truck andsix, So you said six three
times, and I didn't want tomake the reference to any kind of demon
or devil. I was literally notgonna even mention it because I had heard
demon and I felt like right awaywith you saying those six six, six,

(37:27):
I mean you did say truck andI don't know why, but literally
a truck was going by, andI feel like that's why you said truck
because they were just like truck, like it was an ADHD ghost. Yeah,
and then six, and I waslike, I'm not going to play
this game where they're gonna go andpretend they're like demon or something. Yeah.
And then you said and I wassilent because I wasn't gonna say anything,

(37:51):
and then you said, don't beafraid of us. Yeah, And
I said I'm not afraid. Areyou afraid of us? Yeah? And
you said are you sure? Yeah? And I said I'm sure. And
then you said move over, sit, sit down, and I'm like,
I okay, I'll I'll move overa little bit, but I'm sitting down
already. And then BJ says again, are you afraid? And I said

(38:13):
no, do you want me tobe afraid? And then I said do
you like BJ? And BJ saysI'll get him. Yeah, I don't
like it, And I know Iwas like oh. At this point,
I was like, oh, they'remessing with us now for sure. Like
I know they're messing with it.They're asking us if we're scared of we're
afraid, you know. And I'mthinking back to when we were doing it
with BJ before, when I waslike, you know, you can mess

(38:35):
with and the scares easily. Nowthey're like, oh, we're gonna get
BJ because he's the one that's scared, right, And I said get him?
How did you touch BJ? Earlier, and then BJ says, helped
me. And immediately I go backto Jessica, thinking, oh, maybe
we're talking to Jessica now. AndI said, is this Jessica? And
BJ says this guy? And Isaid, do you like BJ? He's

(38:58):
a nice He's a nice guy.Hi, And then BJ says, get
the other one over there. Youwere like, wait, oh no,
no, yeah, I'm like, let's be nice. We're just here to
talk. And then BJ it goeshigh. When I said we're just here
to talk. He goes high, and then he goes up down and I

(39:21):
say, are you trying to makeme look up down and all around?
And J says game. I knowthat said, yeah, this is kind
of like a game. Like theywere messing with us. Yeah, like
they were messing with us because whenthey were going up down, I was
going up. I was looking upand I'm looking down. I was like
all around, you know, AndI was like, they know exactly what
they're doing. So can I justsay that on the EVP as I was

(39:45):
going through, because there was likea few things that like I thought that
I captured and everything. Yeah, but when we're doing the up down all
around and all this other stuff andeverything like that. The EVP that I
captured that I think I hear isthem saying this is too easy, like
a voice saying this is too easy. And I was like, that is
that's that's incredible and insane. Soyeah, yeah, they were just having

(40:09):
fun with us. Yeah, Sothen I start to explain and I kind
of kind of babbled a little bit, and I was starting to explain just
like we want to know who youare. I want to learn who you
are. We're just talking to andwe're just you know, and as I'm
saying this, BJ says, justshut up, I know, listen and
I was like, okay, youknow, I said, okay, I'm

(40:30):
trying to listen, but you're notsaying much. And then BJ says,
we've been stuck. Now we're listening, And I asked, would you like
to be free? Because it kindof made me sad when I heard like
we've been stuck, you know.Yeah, And BJ suddenly just like took
off his headphones like really quickly, and I was like, what what happened?

(40:52):
You know? Yeah? Can Ican? I tell you? So
what I what happened was in myear like you were describing before not through
the spirit box, but whispered directlyinto my ear was Mitra's name. I
heard Mitra said in my ear,and it freaked me out so much that

(41:14):
I took the headphones off and Iwas like, I'm done. I also
believe that on the EVP, atthe moment right before I took my headphones
off, which would have been whenthe name was said to me, I
believe I've captured the name Mitra aswell being set from an EVP, which
is even crazier than saying that Ihave that that was in my ear because

(41:37):
like, as I'm hearing it,and then I hear the headphones come off.
So I'm listening back to the EVPsand you know, I've got the
audio on and everything, and Ihear Mitra, you know, and all
of a sudden, the next thingI hear on the recorder is me yanking
the headphones off, and I go, oh my god. I was like,
that's when it happened. That waslike the almost real time. It

(42:00):
was, ah god, so weird. But you got to figure. You
know, this was like the thirdor fourth time that we've been in the
room. We've introduced themselves several times, you know, they probably know who
we are at this point. Youknow, we set up set up my
name several times because every time wedo it, we introduced ourselves, you
know always, and I know, like when you were doing your session,

(42:22):
at least I think I said myname twice the day before because I was
really trying to get them to saytheir name, and so I kept saying
my name. So so it's liketo go back a little bit when Mitscha
was doing her other spirit box sessionwhere things got really crazy and chaotic and
everything. When we went back tothe room, I had looked at my

(42:43):
leg and I had two really weirdon my leg. We forgot about that.
This was after all the chaos withlike the demon nonsense and all this
other stuff. But I had twoscratch marks on my legs odd claw marks.
And what was weird is it lookedlike there was blood, but it

(43:07):
wasn't blood. It was like youknow, if you scratch yourself too hard
but you didn't break the skin, but all the blood like a bruise like
rose up to it and it wasred. Yes, And it stayed like
that for a long time, severaldays. I was so weird and it
wasn't broken. Skin. It wasweird. Oh, it was like under
the skin, it was like somethingtouched just like made it raise up or

(43:28):
something like that, and then youwent and crashed, and then I went
and crashed. It was very strange. I've never had that happen before and
it was really really weird. Wehave pictures of that too. We will
post that and we'll post some ofthe spirit Box sessions on I think we're
gonna do it on YouTube. Yeah, we will post. We'll do like
full sessions of it so that wehave like longer videos up there on YouTube.

(43:52):
Yes, I think so, andso you guys will be able to
enjoy that. That'll be up therefor you. Right after you did your
spare Box session, I went anddid mine and abbreviated one. You're short
y ever abbreviated. So I gounder and the first thing I say is
too old and old, and you'reasking, well, who's old? Are

(44:13):
you too old? And then Isay too old again, and you're asking
well who's too old? And thenI say spirit and rifle and then I
say hey, Zeus, and youwere like, you keep saying Jesus,
but I don't think I'm saying Jesus. I think I'm saying somebody's name hazeus
yeah. And then I say youdon't have to yeah, And then there's

(44:37):
not really anything happening, and Isay I feel funny, and you're asking
why, and I said secret numberseven and then happy, and then I
stopped suddenly rip off my headphones becauseif you're watching the video, you can
see my leg my knee, I'mlike criss cross apple size a little bit,
and my leg is like my kneeis kind of like moving and it

(44:59):
kind of which is a little bit. The entire time I'm sitting there,
and it was a short session, like four minutes, I felt like something's
just like touching my knee repeatedly.Something's just caressing my knee, touching me
me, like just trying its hardestto like get my attention and to aggravate
me or something. And I justcouldn't take it. And eventually I was
just like I'm done, Like that'sit. You got me, Like I

(45:21):
am done with them. We havenot had that experience with a lot of
like touch sensations. I have beentouched at all. I had never had
a touch. I don't think,yeah, I don't think I was pretty
wild. No, I mean Ithink, you know, at the Saint
Louis Haunted Mansion, I felt likesomething was in my face waving when I

(45:45):
had the blindfold on, but nothingtouched me. So that was the first
time and I just like it wasso light, like a veil, was
just like somebody put a scarf onmy knee. It was just draping it
across. It was like almost aggravating, feeling like it was aggravating, That's
what it was. I felt likeI couldn't concentrate on the spirit box because

(46:07):
it was my attention was so muchon that and I wasn't going into the
quote unquote you know trance. Iwasn't being able to channel anything, do
you know what I mean? BecauseI couldn't like fully just get into it.
And that's why I was just likefrustrated. And I was not that
it was scaring me, but thatit was just like frustrated, like that
I couldn't get into it. Yeah, So that was really the last thing

(46:27):
that we did at the there andthe King Ranch Suite. We spent a
lot of our time doing investigations andstuff. One other thing that happened in
the room that was weird that Icouldn't explain. So that was that same
night, right before we started todo the spirit Box session. I had
my EMF and I put it downon that side table that I talked about

(46:50):
like that creeks when you walk byit, and the EMF started to go
off and I was like, oh, and I look at it and it's
making the sound. It's beeping. Now we don't have like the K two
meters. Ours are different where itlights up, the whole screen lights up.
Is a digital screen with a numberreading on it. It light the
screen lights up and it makes abeeping sound and you get a number reading

(47:13):
to tell you how much EMF isbeing measured right now. It doesn't beep
and light up until it hits acertain threshold. And I don't know what
that threshold is. So it's beepingand going off and I'm looking at it
and there's no number reading on itat all. It's only lighting up and
beeping, and I was like, how is that possible? Like I've never

(47:35):
seen that happen. I don't knowif it was broken or something. And
I was like, I'm confused,Like why is it going off without a
number reading on it? You know, and it was the weirdest thing,
and I thought, like maybe Ihit it, maybe I did something,
So I like, I have avideo of me, I'm like dropping it,
dropping it like you just hardly throwingit on the table to see if
maybe, like maybe I just droppedit too hard on the table and let

(47:57):
me see if I can get itto like set itself up again. But
it didn't. So it was reallyweird that it went made the sounds,
it blinked, and there was noEMF number reading on it. So really
strange overall, like just a prettygreat experience. Again, like you know,
nothing nothing super negative or like badfeeling in that room. It just

(48:21):
felt like we were invading something else'sspace, is what it felt like.
That I feel like that Richard Kingdoesn't want us in there. After we
had gotten some of that get outtype stuff and things like that, we
talked to that one of them andthat showed us to the Renaissance room and
she said that we didn't know thisat the time when we had our session,

(48:44):
that that's what people get in thatroom, is they get things whispered
in their ear to tell them toget out all the time. That's one
of the things, and we werelike, oh, interesting, because that's
what happened to us too. Theysaid that there's a lot of staff that
they have a lot of high turnoverrate of staff that has to clean that

(49:05):
room because they don't nobody did.Nobody wants to go in there and clean
it. I don't blame them.Yeah, got just like spooky, a
little bit spooky, but again likenothing negative or anything. No pictures,
which I was so man, Itook so many pictures and that King Ranch
Room, every time we go inthere, I see so many pictures.
One of an apparition in the mirror, I know, so one of the

(49:28):
stories and we couldn't confirm this.So on that same floor of the King
Ranch Room is this big giant mirror. Yeah, like on the across from
the door, Yes, and likekind of like this like landing area.
I don't know what you would callit. It's just like this dead space
and there's this huge antique mirror. Now people apparently have seen images in the

(49:52):
mirror when they take photographs in thisNow it's an antique mirror and it has
like marks all over it on theactual mirror. So if you were to
take a picture, you might getone of those marks in the mirror,
because it's just old and it justhas markings on it, and I could
see that you could make a facein it, you know what I mean.
So I had wondered if maybe that'swhat people were seeing, because there

(50:13):
was like all these weird it's likekind of like streak marks on it.
But we took so many pictures infront of it, so many pictures every
day, and nothing saw nothing. But the story with this, this just
might be an urban legend, isthat it used to be in the King
Ranch room. Yeah, and peoplewere so freaked out by it that they
moved it out to this like commonarea. And it used to have a

(50:37):
vase sitting at the base of it, and you can see this little shelf
like thing, and there is acircle there where it looks like something was
sitting there. And apparently somebody stolethat vase from it, I guess because
they wanted a piece of the hotel. So the vase is gone. But
that was supposedly in the King Ranchroom. But there is a mirror kind

(51:00):
of similar to it in the KingRanch Room, not as big as grand,
but there is another one very similarto it. So I don't know
if that's a mirror or if it'sthe mirror and the king Ranch that's actually
haunted, but we took pictures inboth of it, and I took a
bunch of pictures in front of thatroom one that's in the room in the
hopes of getting something, and thenlike, some of the pictures in that

(51:20):
mirror have the reflection of the mirrorin the bedroom in the background, and
I was like hoping, like maybethere'd be something also. So I saw
that and I was like, Idon't even want to look like. I
was like, okay, I'm gonnahave to zoom in and look, and
I was like creaked up. Isaw that too, and I was like,
uh, but nothing. I wishI would have seen something. I
know. Yeah, it was funny. At one point when we were doing

(51:42):
something in there, I kept lookinginto the mirror and you were like stopped
looking in the mirror. I know, freaking me it was. I was
like I was looking at it andyou were just like stop. I believe
that Sarah actually was turning and lookingduring the session out the door. I
was like, no way, whatI have I kept hearing all that creaky
noise. I was like, there'sno way I would have looked out there

(52:04):
if I was hearing all that.I couldn't imagine sleeping in that room.
It's just it's like, oh,it's amazing, absolutely amazing. What a
great a really really beautiful hotel.Yeah, super beautiful. It was great.
It's like like we said, likeit is like a gorgeous piece of
property. One of the things thatyou can do, by the way,
while you're there is like just goout and enjoy the courtyard they have right

(52:29):
in the middle of the hotel.Yeah, like a little oasis in the
middle of I don't know if it'sstill called that, but back when it
was like first built, it wascalled the Palm Court. I had all
the palm trees. And I don'tknow if there was a fact that said
that, but I have like thisbook about all these vintage hotels, and
that was called the Palm Court backin the day because of all the palm

(52:52):
trees. It is really really nice. And then like right near there too,
you keep walking, you can goout and you can get right to
the pool. The pool at themanger is gorgeous too. And what's really
funny about it is it has it'ssurrounded by this green AstroTurf, So it's
like a totally different like. Soit was built in nineteen fifty three,
and it's got the nineteen fifty threeAstroTurf right, and I I so love

(53:16):
it too because it reminds me ofthese I you know, go to State
Sales, I get a bunch oflike things. One of the things I
love to get our vintage postcards. And I have a lot of these vintage
postcards from hotels in the fifties, and that's exactly what they have. They
would have this AstroTurf around and they'dhave these like yellow umbrellas and stuff,
and it looks the same like andit just like is so cool. It's

(53:38):
like a little like cool nineteen littlefifties poll over there. But it's not
a little pool. It's a brickpool and it's the biggest pool of downtown,
right right, yeah, So gocool yourself off and that it is
absolutely a really just a really awesomehangout place to be at two. You
know what the little green AstroTurf alwaysreminds me of. And this is probably
like a deep cut, but there'san old Mickey Mouse card tune with a

(54:00):
gopher and him and Pluto or chasingthis gopher and it chases them inside of
like they're closed in patio and itthinks it's still outside because of the AstroTurf.
It's like, yeah, it's likeall going through the AstroTurf and so
funny anybody gets that reference, likethen congratulations, funny is AstroTurf? Like
people are like, ooh, fakegrass I can make inside look like outside.

(54:22):
Yeah, yeah, I know, funny. It is weird. It's
super weird. Like, hey,you know what, it's a different time.
It was a different time to bealive, you know. But yeah.
Also, so one of the thingstoo about like when we're talking about
being a conduit for spirits and everything, is the fact that the Minger sits
right next to the Alamo. Youknow, it's it's literally right there,

(54:46):
and so, h well that's someof the ghosts are supposed to be Spanish
soldiers, right, well, wereMexican soldiers, right and Confederate soldiers.
Yeah. Now what what is prettywell known as that, you know,
the Aluma doesn't really let you doany sort of investigations or anything there.
Yeah, you know, we've kindof poked around and stuff at night.

(55:08):
While we've been there and we've we'venever gotten anything or anything like that.
So we were walking. Wait,we were at the Devil's Whiskey Distillery,
Devil's River. Yeah, so you'rein San Antonio and you have not been
there. Devil's River Distillery. It'son what is the name of that.
It's a hot street, Houston Street. Yeah, it's right down near where

(55:31):
like the Voodoo Doughnuts and the buckhorns. My god, it's so good and
super shout out to Lauren and Adrianfor showing us around that place. We
did the tour, and you shoulddo the tour too. Yeah, because
at the end of the tour youdo a tasting, yes, and he

(55:51):
teaches you how to actually drink whiskey, which I did not know. I
thought what ended in shot glass asquickly, so we got the ninety proof
first, right, yeah, andhe told us how to drink it and
make it basically let it burn yourmouth right and then but it opens everything

(56:12):
up so that then you can tastethe other things. And so that was
really cool to do. While wedid the tour, he did tell us
a little ghost story that they havea little ghost girl there that the building
is haunted. It used to bea clothing store, and I'm going to
forget the name. It used tobe. Starts with a pe pikas or
something. He said, j C. Pennis. I went back in all

(56:35):
my books that I have and allthese vintage photographs and was able to figure
out which building it was and lookedat the literally looked at the sign on
the building. He could figure outwhat it was. Not J C.
Pennies because J. C. Penniswas always over where River Center Mall was
on the other side, but stilla department store, a clothing store.
And there is a girl that hauntsone of the hallways there, this little

(56:59):
girl. He's seen things, yeah, really creepy. So he doesn't I
want to do a ghost hump there. But they don't own the building,
they're just renting it, so theydon't know if the odors will allow that
kind of stuff. I'm like, they said, if we don't, gotta's
gotta tell them what we're doing. They said, interested in doing it,
then they will. They will findout what permissions they need to ask in

(57:21):
order to do so. But Ithink it would be a lot of fun.
But anyway, but we had alot of drinks there I'm getting at
We had a lot forehead and thenwe had basically what was it four or
five shots of like freaking whiskey. We were we were, we were flying.
So then we're walking back, we'rewalking back to the manger. This
is this is the daytime. We'recompletely drunk. During the day we were.

(57:45):
It was not it was not wasit like it was like late,
This was like four o'clock. No, it was like that was like it
was five o'clock. Okay, sowe're super drunk by five o'clock. So
we're going over by the album andit's like, you know, a hundred
ten degrees and there's these two policeofficers outside there that they're like, I
got their cowboy hats on and everything, and they're assigned to you know,

(58:07):
yes, And I said, I'mgoing to ask them if they've seen any
ghost and you're like, no,you're not. I was just like,
yes, yea. So we didwe go up there, Officer King and
Officer Gonzalez. Yes. So weasked them. We told them who we
are, what we're doing, andthey said that they have people coming up

(58:30):
to them, yeah, literally likeshowing them pictures and stuff. Of ghosts
that they've gotten from their hotel roomslike at the Elmily Morgan and things like
that, and the manger about theghosts that are even at the Alamo that
they've looked down and saw themselves. And the officer King he had a picture
that someone gave him from the mangerthe Emily Morgan next door and it is

(58:52):
like a pretty creepy face in thewindow. Very I'm like, yeah,
that's that's not a happy face.It was. It was it's pretty funny,
like because it's like, you know, you know, the Alamo police
and everything. And I remember Isaid to them, I said, listen,
I know that you guys aren't supposedto like tell us things like this.
Yeah, they were eager to talkabout it. They were like I

(59:14):
thought they were gonna be like movealong. Yeah, no, no,
weird paranormal people get out of here, like and everything. And he said
one time somebody came down and said, oh, I didn't know y'all were
doing a re enactment of the Alamolike so early in the morning. And
he said, there's no re enactment, and the people were like, we

(59:34):
heard like the battle going on,we heard it. Yeah, I think
they said they saw like something, some commotion going on and people dressed.
They looked out their window and hewas like, no, there was nothing
going on. The guy was soweird, you know. Super shout out
to those two guys, uh,Officer King and Officer Gonzalezy, especially the
officer King. Officer King, Yeah, that was. Yeah. So they

(01:00:00):
talk to us because because Mitra flashedher eyes at him, she was she
was like, excuse the officer, but can I ask you some questions?
I did not, And he said, ma'am, I don't mean to be
disrespectful, but you have the mostbeautiful eyes I've ever seen. I was
like, well, thank you.You were like cool, tell us about
ghosts. He gets a special shoutout. Yeah, it was really it

(01:00:23):
was really cool for them to doit. And then Officer Mustache who ran
away from us. I don't knowwhat your name is, but you had
a really great mustache. Yeah.He didn't want nothing to do with us.
He didn't he didn't stay around tosee what we were going to ask.
He was on patrol or something.I was like, can we ask
you some stuff about ghosts and thingslike that? And he was like,
hey, guys, I gotta go, and I was like, Officer Mustache

(01:00:44):
come back. But anyway, yeah, all of those that they were really
really cool and we're super happy thatthey talked with us because they didn't have
to. They could have been likemove along, get out of here,
and they didn't and it was reallycool. And then after that we went
and had Magree tacos and another drink. Yes, I needed I didn't because

(01:01:04):
that wasn't enough. That wasn't enoughof the tacos. I needed. I
needed something. I was like, listen, I said I too. That
was when we were going out withWe were going out with Aaron and Sarah
that night too. We were goingout with Aaron Sarah and you got another
drink and I was like, wewent to Fat Tuesdays and they do frozen
Margarita's Vault flavors. You got askinny margarita. And I was like,

(01:01:24):
you know what, I'm going tobe a good girl. I'm going to
control myself. I don't need adrink. Lame. I drank enough lame.
No, I need to be lucidfor for a ghost hunting right.
So that's Fast Sea Spirits, right. It was a lot of It was
a lot of fun doing that though, So again thank you to everybody at

(01:01:44):
the Manger for allowing us to comein, allowing us the time that we
needed, and just really welcoming us, which is just phenomenal. It was
just phenomenal. We were so wellby. Everybody was so nice, right,
you know, and again a specialshout out to Angela who was gracious
enough to come in, show usaround, tell us the history of the

(01:02:07):
hotel, and just you know, just just really embrace us, which was
awesome. You know, we endedup going and seeing her again the next
day. She was working at theManger Bar and you know, we talked
to her a little bit when wewere talking to that other couple. We
had drinks and it was you know, it was just a really really nice,
rewarding experience. And if you guysare looking for something to do this

(01:02:29):
fall that has a lot of historyand potential haunted activity that you could encounter,
the Manger Hotel is where it's at. Like you've got to go do
it, you know, it's it'sit's a whole lot of fun. And
they've got the shop right inside ofthe Manger Hotel where the Sisters Grim have
their audience shop. And stuff,so you can check that. A lot

(01:02:49):
of antiques in all the cases, yep, to go see. So I
love looking at that kind of stuff. And it's just it's such a beautiful
hotel just to walk through. Imean, I know there's other like we
were at the Emily Morgan and yesthat's very haunted too. But the thing
is that used to be a hospitaland then a business you know, office
area, so it wasn't ever ahotel before, so it's not like preserved

(01:03:13):
at it's hotel y nous, youknow what I mean. The Menger is
you know what I mean. Yeah, So it's different. It's very it's
very nice. See I said. The only thing that was comparable to that
as far as like being preserved andeverything was probably it was the Cliff House.
Yeah, because of you know, the age of that hotel as well,
and the fact that they've preserved alot of it to what it was

(01:03:34):
when it was first built and everythingand restored it and everything. But very
very cool experience. Again, Icannot recommend it enough. To go and
stay at the Manger and just enjoyyourself, kick back at the Manger Bar
and have a drink, go tothe Colonial room and have breakfast, you
know, just try to figure outwho Jessica is. Yeah, try and
figure out who Jessica is. Thatwould be really great. And if anybody
has any leads on that, that'slistening. I have any idea. That's

(01:03:59):
why I mentioned I'm like, maybeit was supposed to be put out into
the universe and be heard. Itcould be. But that's all we have
for this one. Guys. Itwas a really rewarding experience and if you'd
like to add anything to that, you can simply email the show. Unrefined
