Speaker 1 (00:00):
All right, how you doing Donald? What's going on? I'm
deal with Valuelle media.
Speaker 2 (00:07):
I took got real one quick question. How was that
golf match?
Speaker 1 (00:15):
It was pretty good? Pretty good. I'm one of the
top in my league.
Speaker 2 (00:19):
You know you do you play the BMS song. At
least you could wish me luck. I'm driving down the range,
hitting the pall full, wish you at least you could
wish me luck?
Speaker 1 (00:33):
Yeah? Man? What about what about favorite tunes? I love
it too.
Speaker 2 (00:37):
In fact, it was a funny because that song resonated
with so much people that really were fans of BMF
that I used to bring that I used to use
as my intro music when the show first came out.
I would come out to wish me luck and the
first thing I would tell them.
Speaker 1 (00:50):
Y'all could wish me luck.
Speaker 2 (00:51):
But whatever y'all do, don't believe that I'm a punk
that they wrote in that script.
Speaker 1 (00:54):
I'm not that punk, all right, I was. We was
gonna get.
Speaker 2 (00:59):
Why I cut it off.
Speaker 1 (01:00):
That's the script. And don't try me.
Speaker 2 (01:03):
Don't try me just because I get chumped up and
punked and disrespected on the Death Show. Don't disrespect me
in the streets like that it's a whole different down Elle.
Speaker 3 (01:14):
It's a whole differences al.
Speaker 2 (01:18):
And they don't want to ask Larry smoke me being
a part of BMF. I'm excited about it. This the
third season I'm on the show me. It's so funny
because to be honest, no matter what I'm doing, what
I do. They was like this, people's watching BMF And
they was like, Yo, did y'all see Ashy Larry had
(01:38):
sex of that dead body? Like it's gonna be ask
you for left why Ashley Larry let him take his
hungry man stinks like that man. But I'm excited to
be for a season I was a part of. I
was the interesting thing with my relationship with that, I
was only season was it season one? I was in
the last episode and I was supposed to be it right,
(02:02):
they brought my character back right, I was only supposed
to be in two episodes, and they and people loved
it and resonated with people so much. They just kept
on adding episodes and episodes and episodes. And I'm not
a greedy actor. Like just the relationship I had with
them on the season I was there, I was like,
I'm cool with that. And for them to come back
and say we want to bring you back again. I
was like, all right, man, that's another shot.
Speaker 1 (02:22):
You know what I mean.
Speaker 2 (02:23):
My character is not prominent through there, but I will
say that character and the relationship that I do have
with Lamar, it definitely definitely makes an impact on the show.
And when you see Lamar, you want to see Alvin also.
Speaker 1 (02:36):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (02:36):
Absolute, man, that was one of my favorite relationships going
in the first two seasons. Then you were gone, but
now you're back. Did you have any idea you was
coming back for season four or was it was a surprise.
Speaker 1 (02:49):
I don't. Never.
Speaker 2 (02:50):
I never did, and I never like get ahead of myself.
You know, some people like this, oh they had I had.
I was like, man, I just take things what I
get out of it right now? Does it go on
my resume? Am I part of one of the biggest
hits on Stars? Did I be a relationship with Tasha Smith?
Did IIP? Did I build a relationship with fifty and
you don't want to get on his bad sides? Did
I get relationship with the network? And if I could
(03:12):
check all those things off, if you bring me back
or not, it doesn't matter because this business is all
about building relationships for the next project and the relationship
you have with people now it's gonna dictate if they
ever want to work with you again. In fact, just
to add to that, this road the last five years,
any road that anybody's ever seen me on TV. I
(03:32):
did an audition for it. It was people that say,
that's my guy, you know what I mean? And I'm
in a situation where I could live like that, because
I mean, acting doesn't pay my bills. It's stand up
comedy that pays my bills. It's the podcast pay my bill.
So when I do that, I'm looser. I'm not like,
oh my god, I bet I lose this job. I'm like,
guess what. You give me more time to go on
(03:54):
the road and make people laugh. It gives you more time.
It gives me more time to focus on my pod
cast that down All Rawlin showed this on YouTube and
every social media platform. And it's not people get to
know me through acting, but they fall in love me
through the stand up.
Speaker 1 (04:11):
Right, absolutely for sure.
Speaker 3 (04:13):
So what you're saying that it gives you a certain
comfort level and your actor and you're an improv guy anyway,
do they give you a lot of leeway on set,
because I know your character was loved and I could
tell that couldn't have just been straight script.
Speaker 1 (04:26):
They tried to give me.
Speaker 2 (04:28):
They had to cut me back right because it was
one time I was once saying and I said something.
I said, Man, I don't care about your punk ass dog.
Man tell that punk ass dog got to eat my stuff.
You need to clean your dirt stink bag up and
get it. I did all that. They said cut I
was like, what happened? They said, you can't talk to
him like that. I'm like why, They said, because that's
(04:48):
Lamar and he would have smashed her head through a
brick ball, I said before he did that. At least
I would have been able to enjoy my hungry man meal.
So I did do improv, but the Emperor I did.
Oh man, I wish you guys could see the stuff
that they cut out because it.
Speaker 1 (05:02):
Was funny as hell.
Speaker 2 (05:04):
It was serious and it was funny at the same time.
Speaker 3 (05:07):
Man test stars to release a behind the scenes cut
of all your inprov.
Speaker 1 (05:12):
That would be funny. Man.
Speaker 2 (05:13):
I should do that way any project I've ever worked
to people like this, that's what you should have played.
Speaker 1 (05:17):
Yeah, yeah, definitely.
Speaker 3 (05:19):
So like you said, Alvid, you got down. Now, what
is your relationship with Lamar?
Speaker 1 (05:26):
His actor? When the cameras are off?
Speaker 2 (05:30):
I because he's a guy from England. He spends most
of the time in it. But like we've hung out
and it was so cool because I was touring with
Dave Chappelle a couple of years ago, right and I
told him if if I'm over over across the lake,
I want to come.
Speaker 1 (05:43):
I want you to come check me out. So it's
kind of cool.
Speaker 2 (05:46):
We only hung out like twice during this this whole process.
Always been a good guy, a straight up dude. It's
just weird to hear him with his regular accent when
he's not. He's It's like talking to eris like, you
want to go to the ploy, you want to go
to the blow.
Speaker 1 (05:59):
I'm like, where did this?
Speaker 2 (06:00):
I'm from?
Speaker 1 (06:00):
Buddy. He's a great guy.
Speaker 2 (06:02):
I plan on hopefully in the future I work with
him more. We hung out that night, we did the
show with Dave, went to after party. Good dude, man,
really good dude. Nothing bad to say about him. I
wish him, as they say wish me luck. I wish
him the best talented actor. And you're going to see
a lot of a lot of good things coming from him.
Speaker 3 (06:17):
All right, man, I know we running low on tim
head a lot. They giving me the you know. But
it was good talking to you. I appreciate you taking
this time out to talk to me.
Speaker 1 (06:27):
This was great.
Speaker 3 (06:28):
Hope to speak to you again in the future on
your next project and.
Speaker 2 (06:31):
Good luck on that PGA tour.
Speaker 1 (06:34):
Yeah, I got your blessing. Man, I gotta win. I'm
gonna shout you out, yo.
Speaker 2 (06:37):
And then you'll be able to tell everybody hop Ridge p.
Speaker 1 (06:42):
You got it, You got it, all right, all right,
take it
