Speaker 1 (00:03):
How are you doing?
Speaker 2 (00:05):
What's up there? Call me Titus Dale?
Speaker 1 (00:07):
All right, t is Deale with valuable media. Our first
question here is after portraying Harry Boss for ten years,
it has to be challenging to walk away. What kind
of reaction do you hope to get from fans after
the final episode of years?
Speaker 2 (00:24):
Well, you know, it's it's been a journey, and it's
been an incredibly rewarding and pleasurable journey. And and what
at the forefront of that is the is the fan
base of this still obviously there was a global fan
base that existed for Michael Connolly's books prior to this
ever being a show, but not only the acceptance of
(00:48):
me playing this character and it finally being realized as
you know, in the format, the support and and and
warmth and the goodwill towards the show has been really incredible,
you know, because if people ain't watching it, then you know,
(01:09):
it's you might as well be at home doing a
puppet show for your kids, because it's you know, that's
your audience. But the it's been overwhelming and very very
touching and very moving and over the years and the
response and you know, and with this being the final season.
You know, I have interaction with people you know on
(01:31):
the street and in the world, and and and you know,
it's intense. It's it's very intense. What's interesting is that
people are passionate, right, There's there's nothing, there's nothing remotely
sort of pedestrian or passive. And in the way that
they express their excitement about the show being out, how
(01:52):
they're enjoying it, but they're their profound disappointment and and
the idea that that this could be the last time
that we see this character.
Speaker 1 (02:02):
We already established that Maggie Q will be spinning it
off with when they ballot into our own series. And
I know you've maybe got to shoot a few things
over there or whatnot. Well, what do you say to
people who are kind of reluvedant on the fence about
jumping over to a new title character, about moving on
from Harry boss Center.
Speaker 2 (02:24):
I think you have to remember that the source material
is Michael Connolly, right, this is his books Bosch and Ballard,
you know, occupy the same universe.
Speaker 1 (02:35):
So it's.
Speaker 2 (02:38):
I encourage people to watch the show because Maggie Q
is exceptional in the role. She owns it completely and
beautifully nuanced, performance, and they have assembled a great cast
of supporting actors in that show, and those stories are
(02:59):
every bit is compelled as the stories that that you know,
we're we're the Bosh books. So I say, don't hesitate.
I say, you know, jump in because it's a it's
a it's a good ride, it's it's well worth everyone's time.
Speaker 1 (03:16):
Well, thank you Titus for your time, and I look
forward to seeing you and the rest of the season.
Speaker 2 (03:19):
Thank you very much, it's been a pleasure.
