I sidste uge fik Google - eller faktisk Moderselskabet Alphabet - en fagforening ved navn Alphabet Workers Union. Det var måske ikke som sådan noget Google havde ønsket sig, men ikke desto mindre noget en række ansatte hos Google havde arbejdet på i hemmelighed i et år.

Da fagforeningen så dagens lys havde den omkring 200 medlemmer, men allerede dagen efter havde dobbelt så mange meldt sig ind. Det er jo en positiv start, men der er stadig lang vej til en mærkbar organiseringsgrad, eftersom de er 130.000 fastansatte på Google - og det er når man ikke tæller freelancere og ansatte hos underleverandører med, som er ca ligeså mange.

Fagforeningsfolkene fra Alphabet Workers Union udtaler at det ikke bare handler om dem selv - det kommer os alle sammen ved, hvilke etiske retningslinjer Google arbejder ud fra, fordi de som virksomhed har så stor en indvirkning på enormt mange mennesker. Alle os der bruger Googles produkter, faktisk. Og de arbejder med nogle af de mest komplicerede nye problemstillinger som verden står overfor.

The Brothers Ortiz is the story of two brothers–both successful, but in very different ways.
