We are now fully into April and as we wait for the big games coming at the end of the month, there are some demos out for some of them. So, Sean has some Stellar Blade Impressions to share on this episode. Along with that, he's also played two versions of the Saga: Emerald Beyond. As well as a beloved game that was released bout a month ago in Unicorn Overlord impressions too. Marc is also just enjoying more Granblue Fantasy Relink.

Some details have dropped on potential games for the June Xbox Showcase including a long-awaited Gears 6 reveal. Likewise, rumors abound that much like last year, Sony may opt to get ahead of the Summer Games Fest brouhaha and have a showcase in May. Xbox is also in the news for some others including making a games preservation team and Hellblade 2 being locked at 30 FPS.

Plus, according to an annual report from Newzoo most gamers are playing old games or recurring annual franchises. Does this say anything about the state of gaming? And does this paint a grim picture for how many new players are available for recent Live-Service games? The controversial Tekken 8 Fighter Pass, the status of the Knights of the Old Republic Remake, and more!

(00:13):
You are listening to Video Games tothe Max. Hello, and welcome to
another edition of Video Games to theMax. I'm your host, Sean Garmery
here with me as usually with someMark Morrison. Sorry, we're coming to
you on a Sunday. I hadsome work stuff and then I was really
exhausted after work, so I waslike, I can't do this son on

(00:34):
Saturday when we were going to doit originally. But yeah, so we
do have things to talk about today. I've played Stellar Blade and two versions
of the Saga Emerald Beyond demo becausethey actually did a cool thing where they
depending on what system you download thedemo and you play different character. And

(00:56):
I've also played Unicorn Overlord, Marksare playing more Grand Blue Flane see Relink.
And we've got some news to getinto Xbox and Sody stuff and at
more right after this. All right, so let's just get the housekeeping stuff
out of the way here really quick. Do you appreciate y'all watching listening,

(01:18):
whether you watch alive, which normallywe do this on Fridays around the twelve
thirty ish time, but we're doinga little bit later today on this WrestleMania
Sunday and well we got just soyou know, y'all are aware he subscribed
to the channel. You know, only give what we do here video against
the Max, but you get ourother stuff as well, so you get

(01:41):
the you're broadcasting folks. They doall of the entertainment movie stuff. They
have a review of the Godzilla crossKolong New Empire movie, which is supposedly
really good, so if you wantto hear a review on that, they
have that. The latest guys doingthe anime talked usually cover most of the
new animated's out all the time theOtaku Cafe, and we did do the

(02:07):
Farm Pay seven Rebirth spoiler cast,so got a bunch of folks on that.
It actually worked out. I thoughthaving six people was gonna be an
issue, but it was actually reallyfun. So yeah, go go check
that out. Definitely if you've alreadyplayed Rebirth already finished it well worth going

(02:29):
into. We go into everything abunch of different story points, characters,
the ending, all that stuff,so lots to go through there in that
like almost three hour thing that wedid. And yeah, so definitely make
sure if you don't want to watch, you can listen on your podcast as
well anywhere their podcasts to subscribe toall three of the shows separately if you

(02:52):
want, or just describe to ustvideo games to the max and you'll be
able to listen whenever we do anew show. So there you go.
I guess Mark, you and Iboth picked great weeks to get haircuts of
us. It looks like you youyou you fixed your hair there. It's

(03:14):
like Medusa so that he uh,you know, but anything else going on
for you this week? It's notGhostbusters last like last Friday, or like
last maybe like Fatter or something.I was fine, I didn't literally laugh.

(03:35):
And it was too busy of amovie. Yeah, yeah, well
so it was like okay, okaytime. Yeah. I mean I may
get it when it comes out inlike Blu Ray or whatever, but yeah,
it's just kind of yeah. Itjust has like nine different plot points
going on at once, and itsaid this is really busy. Like yeah,
A character called the fire Master justkept me kept reminding me of like

(03:58):
Avatar. That's funny. Okay,So all right, let's I guess go
ahead and get started with the gameswe're playing here. You've been playing with
Mark rand Blue. Yeah, II finally beat the last boss this Lucius
guy man that was paying the asskwhat Oh yeah, I watched that video.

(04:23):
That's crazy. Yeah, so themax level cap favorite character is one
hundred and this dude is two hundred, so half fun of that, and
you have to like build your characterin like certain ways, like I have
like a ton of health. Youknow, the game has a damage cap,
like you can only do so muchdamage. You can like build out
your character to like exceed that. But then you have to like it's a

(04:45):
push and poll of like, wellif I see that I don't have as
many potions or I don't have this, you know, but I find I
beat him at least once, soI'm happy. So now I'm just trying
to set up like a good AFKfarming method so you can get all the
rest of the crap I want. But yeah, yeah, it's like the
game quite a bit. Uh Andyeah, that's good. That's kind of
like what I'm doing for for reavers, trying to find the places to form

(05:10):
the ap and the the level getout the level seventy so I can do
the hard mode. Yeah, Imean there are a few places, but
yeah, that that's a that's aslot for sure. At least the you
know, Grand Blue. It's likea true AFK method, like you're can
It's like pick this one character andhe like you can set the game to
auto basically auto play to a certainextent. Oh really, so yeah,

(05:33):
just like all right, and thenI said, there's one range character and
he'll attack anything that gets near him. Uh, have fun, gonna do
something else, something else for thenext twenty minutes. Nice. Yeah.
Yeah. So I did get toplay the which I'm sure many of y'all
have as well, the the thatCeleblade demo that came out. Yeah,

(05:54):
I thought about it. Then Iwas like, yeah, let's wait till
the game comes out. Yeah.I mean it's really short, so it's
actually like not really a big dealto to go through and play, honestly,
because you'll finish it really quickly. And then the boss challenges just one
boss, so you can kind ofget it used to the whole how that's

(06:15):
gonna work with the parrying and everythingelse. I actually was very surprised at
I thought it was gonna be likedol may Cry or like Banetta, very
action heavy. It's it's really not. It's very parry focused. The dodge
is only as certain. I mean, you could dodge all the time,

(06:36):
but they have like more of alike perfect dodge kind of thing which has
a like flip in the air backwards, and it's it makes it really fun
when you actually nail those, andit seems like it's it's not like a
Soul's game. It feels like it'slike an in between the hardness of souls
and then the like the I guesssimpler of DM. I mean, it's

(06:59):
it's something near on them motto, you know, yeah, kind of on
near. Definitely has a lot ofnear vibes as well, especially with like
the setting and the world ladies.Yeah you got the hot ladies too,
but I wait on, you know, that's not I don't want to get
into the whole cultural war that's goingon on Twitter. That's that's stupid.
But yeah, it's it's a hotlight in the video game, like okay,

(07:23):
cool, you know, yeah, that's great that we have more of
that. I saw the people hoping, you know, they did. They
did tease that they could do crossoverswith other ips, So people are already
warming up for the Near and SouthernBlade crossover for sure, which you know,
that's that's the one that's getting themost comparison, uh as far as

(07:45):
because of the looks and everything. But no, the setting is is cool,
the whole opening of it where theyhave the land on Earth, because
there's these Nativa that are attacking,uh, these like ugly, you know,
weird alien looking monsters, and there'sa bunch of different versions of them,
which is kind of cool. LikeI like that. It's they kind

(08:07):
of look a little bit I guessyou could say like the Demi Gorgans sort
of of stranger things as well ina way, but I like that it's
like different versions of that. Soyou have like this weird thing that stands
on two legs, and then youhave like a starfish looking one that like
swims, and yeah, it waskind of interesting the way that they it's
this they're similar. They're all kindof similar, but they have their own

(08:31):
different things. And the big bossthat you fight at the end has like
a big thing with horns. Yeah. Yeah, it's it's a really fun.
It feels like it's gonna be reallyfun. And then there's the like
a skill tree that you can getnew powers with because you have the different
like side face buttons to do differentattacks. And then you have the the

(08:54):
other stuff that you can just doregular with the with the face buttons when
you don't hold l one. Soso yeah, I think for the most
part, it's you know, itmay not end up being like this oh
my god, you know, tenout of ten game or whatever, but
it could still be actually pretty good. Like yeah, you know, so

(09:16):
I think people should definitely go giveit a shot because it's about a I
would say, it's not even afreaking like an hour. It's really short,
so definitely go and give you Youcould actually probably play this twice.
The music's really good in it too, so that kind of gives you.

(09:37):
But they do have like a bigI guess not big, but they have
a sort of lengthy walk around sectionthat you can kind of explore the world
a bit and stuff, so thatgives you a good like ambiance of what
the game is actually gonna be.So you know, I think for the
most part, play it, you'llyet a good perspective of Okay, I

(10:03):
kind of got everything in one go, and that's what you wanted a demo
to do. And I appreciate thatthat they included all that they could have
made it like a combat thing andsaid, Okay, that's that's it.
We'll let you explore the what whenyou play the game. But uh,
and it's good that they also saidthey're not going to charge you for DLC
with with all the stuff that's beengoing on with that, they are going

(10:26):
to charge you if they have tocross over for another ip like knee or
something like that. But yeah, very cinematic kind of thing, very with
the with the combat. But itwas a lot of fun. So I
think I might make it a dayone purchase for me. I'll have to
be playing that at the same timeas the Union Chronicle game, soames.

(10:52):
Yeah, well that was Chronicles ongame Pass, so I don't really have
to make the decision of going andbuying. But yeah, I would definitely
play the demo because you know, seventy dollars is not not cheap. If
you if it gets you, thenyou know, make that decision for yourself
there on that. But it's notone of these things like I think,

(11:15):
like you know, when I'm talkingabout Unicorn Overlord, where I feel like
you do really kind of need toinvest those five hours? Did it?
Lets you play to kind of getthe Okay, do I want to don't
want to buy this or not,so, but let me, I guess,
get into the Saga stuff first, which I'm going to be up front.
The only game that I've played inthe Saga series, aside from Pomp

(11:37):
Fantasy Too, which is I guessthe closest spam fantasy thing you're going to
get to a Saga game is theSaga Frontier, the PlayStation one. Yeah,
I remember that, So that's theonly one that I've actually played,
So I don't have any kind ofreference with either the really the older ones,
the Romancing Saga or the Sclar GraceEffort. I know that I know

(12:01):
Saga Frontier kind of that's about it. Yeah, so this is kind of
my first Saga game, So Iapologize if you know I'm Whatever I say
is not it's totally big relevant onhow the other Soga games were played.
But they did try to modernize thisone quite a bit, which I think

(12:22):
if you're a fan of the Sagagames, that's probably going to possibly set
you some because they do have likequest markers and things like that that you
can scan into this I mean, like modern gameplay, re gameplay. Yeah,
so it's not it's not you know, because a lot of the things
with Saga is you know from backin the day, and Pop Fantasy two

(12:43):
does this as well, where itkind of like lets you out there and
you kind of have to find astory for yourself, right, And this
one does that, but it doesit in a way where it's like,
Okay, you have an option asto like what you want to go do,
so uh, Like I mentioned atthe intro, if you download this

(13:03):
on different versions, you get differentcharacters. So if you get the Switch
version, you get a Maya theWitch character, which she's like a mage
character, and then you get differentparty help characters that are in her story
only, right, And then ifyou play the PS five version, I'm
guessing you have to get the PSfour version. There's probably a different demo

(13:26):
as well, but you get thePS five version, you get to play
as a different character. And hiswhole deal is that he controls puppets,
so they have like four different characterslook like they came out of Black Panther
all kind of around him. Andthen he has like he's like a fencer
kind of character, so he hasthat kind of a weapon. And the

(13:48):
cool thing is you also have likea lot of variety in the weapons you
can pick too, So like aMaya can do the regular made stuff,
but she can also if she wantsto attack with the gun or a sword
or whatever, you could do that, and you could do that with the
other character to So it's cool togive you a lot of variety and like
the actual combat, which that's fun. Of course. The the cold crux

(14:11):
of Saga that's different from the regularj RPGs that you play is that you
don't level up like levels, right, you level up the abilities, So
whatever you do in the battle iswhat's gonna level up, aside from leveling
up HP. Almost every time you'relike, let's say you defended, well,

(14:31):
you defended a lot, your enduranceand your defense is gonna go up.
If you attacked a lot, thenthat you're attacked, spells gonna go
up. And then also depending onhow much you use the different spells and
different abilities, those go up dependingon use as well. So yeah,
it definitely has a lot of theSaga trappings, but it feels like they

(14:52):
tried to make these more like Iguess sort of what's the game I can't
think of not Octapat Traway with theone you play you reviewed it and everything.
Yeah, Live Alive that has likethis contained stories, right, so
it feels like they're all kind ofcontained by themselves, and they're the PC
version has where you can play isthe diva character that is apparently a robot

(15:16):
now all of a sudden because ofwhat happened to her. So yeah,
depending on if you see the charactersand you want to go try to play
a xact character, you gotta goseek out whatever version to play the demo
in. But yeah, they're they'redifferent, right. So like the the
male character which Ohimaru, he kindof has more of a go explore this

(15:39):
like kind of spacey the witch area, right, and he talks to the
different It's funny. It's kind offunny because they're both kind of connected to
each other. He's exploring like thewitch world. I forgot what it's called.
And the actual witch character Ameya thatyou play as, she's one of
the different witches that's in the It'slike they have a red witch or blue

(16:00):
brich or black witch whatever, Soshe's a white witch and she's actually stuck
in like the city that he comesfrom. Age yeah, and and so
he's in that world and stay tellher, Oh, yeah, this other
character's over here and you're playing aThatch character. You play a switch version.

(16:21):
Yeah, it's I think it's gonnabe a good one of those.
I think folks that are coming offplaying other jrbgs don't expect this is not
This is almost feels like it's aPS three game with newer graphics because it's
not. It's not the most flashiestthing out there. Right. There's little

(16:42):
the little quest markers to come upfor like little portals, and then you're
gonna wait for a load screen toshow up so that you can go to
the next thing in there. Ifyou go to different sections of that world,
that's what you're gonna do. It'snot all femeless and beautiful and all
that stuff. It's if you likegames. Is kind of you know at
this point that they don't. Theydon't spend the money there like they do

(17:04):
for Final Fantasy or Dragon Quests orwhatever. So, but the fact that
we're getting a new Saga game that'snot like a remake or remaster, I
think that's cool for the folks thatlike that. It's definitely not going to
be a game. It's all acall comes out that same week. Saga
also comes out like a day beforeStellar Blade on the twenty fifth. Uh

(17:25):
so if you're looking forward to it, it's definitely there for you. Uh,
not going to be one that'll belike a sale game or something that
I might pick up later, Yeah, for sure. And Graham Blues on
sale for like fifty five bucks fiftybucks recently, Yeah, it has uh
what's you called Yakus is on sale. Yeah, so I mean those came

(17:47):
out in January, so that's kindof expected that right now they're going to
have a sale. But even somethinglike Vanishers that came out like barely a
month ago has also been on saletwo So I definitely would recommend people pick
that up if you like and thosekind of action games. The last game
I played was Unicorn Overlord, whichI know a lot of people have been
enjoying, And you know what,I think this one kind of works for

(18:10):
me. I'm not the biggest likeFire Emblem fan, but what I like
about this game is that it's kindof a mix between the stuff you get
in a Fire Emblem, right withthe character looks and the medieval sort of
world and that kind of thing, and then you get the it's more of
like an RTS where the player itkind of like not it kind of plays

(18:30):
itself in a way, but you'rehaving to just kind of put them in
a spot, okay, and thenit goes to the screen where they do
the battle and then you know, you're repeating again until the whole army is
wiped out you get the objective orwhatever. So it helps a lot that
Vanilla Ware's character design is great,so you know, it's yeah, all

(18:55):
the different characters that you get, even at the beginning, right during this
demo section. Which what's cool aboutthis if you haven't played it, they
do have it like on all thesystems, so it's on Xbox, on
PlayStation, on the switch. Youget to basically just play five hours of
the game itself and it does transferover. So if you just want to
play the first five hours of thegame or whatever, you can and then

(19:18):
just make that decision yourself if youwant to buy it or not. I
definitely think I'm gonna wind up gettingthis to some point when we get to
like that kind of lull in theyear that it feels like we're gonna have
between like when we get to Mayand you know, June, that bad
time period, so I might definitelymake that. I was trying to see
if I could squeeze it in between, you know, before we get to
you didn't chronicle and celeb way,and I was like, you know what,

(19:41):
maybe not. I mean, it'lljust wait, because then I'm gonna
buy it, and then it's gonnago into that pile of oh well,
I bought it, and now Ididn't play it, and now am I
going to get back to it?Whereas maybe it'll be on sale even by
the time we get to like Mayand June, and and definitely can even
though I did see that, likeTarget was doing some ridiculous sales yesterday.
I guess they took the time duringlike the WrestleMania and college basketball to be

(20:03):
like, let's go on Target Circleand put like all these freaking things on
sale, and unicorner Wilo was onsellf for like twenty bucks, right,
and I totally missed it until thenext morning when I saw the feed.
But yeah, I know, man, this is this is really good.
I can see how can get addictingfor people that really love that kind of
style, because it's really easy tojust all right, here comes the next

(20:27):
next wave. Let's let's start puttingthe armies different places. And I like
how easy it is to switch betweenthe different if you like, you have
all three of them convergent ones, you can switch between which one you actually
want to go into the battle andstuff. And yeah, it seems like
the story is set up very simple, you know. So I'm seeing that,

(20:48):
like apparently the story is not like, oh my god, firing them
craziness or whatever. It's more aboutlike the mechanics and the changing of the
different different classes and different things thatyou can do in that game. So
yeah, I'll definitely be looking forwardto it as we get closer to those
times where we don't have a bunchof games coming out, right, Yeah,

(21:08):
so definitely I would go check thoseout, all three of them.
If any of those interest you, they'll be there. And yeah, well
we'll definitely I'm sure have more gamesto talk about as sign goes on.
So let's get into the news here. Some stuff going on with Xbox.

(21:30):
What it feels like a lot ofstuff's going on with Xbox all the time.
But the big controversy came out becausewe got a lot of hell Blade
two reviews or not reviews, previewsand the oh my god, it's thirty
fps. Let's get angry. Yeah, but the rocks better than rocks have
ever looked before. Man. Yeah, to me, it's like that whole

(21:53):
it's a story game. Like,I get that there's combat, right,
and they did make a big dealabout the combat. It's in here,
and it's apparently going to be kindof slow and weighty. It's not you
know, I don't know that it'sit's not God of War levels or whatever,
but it feel like maybe they weretrying to Is it going to be
like Souls or something. I don'tknow, but yeah, deliberate, Yeah,

(22:17):
really deliberate. I'm sure there's goingto be the same puzzle stuff that
you saw in the first game. All of that. It looks good,
though, it looks amazing, Andif that's what helps it look like that
is being at thirty and not goingto sixty. And then, cause it's
it's not a game where you're like, it's not Southern Blade, it's not

(22:38):
even Rebirth. It's not like oreven Grand Blue or something where you're like
moving around and you really need tobe fast, you need to have all
this smoothness or whatever. It feelslike it's built to be at that that
thirty, right, I don't knowthat it's going to really make an effect
on the game other than people thatlike, oh my god, I can't

(23:00):
stand it, it's gonna be thirty, you know. I think people ob
such a frame rates are like reallynuts, Like thirty can feel fine if
they if it feels fine, youknow, like sixty frames isn't automatically,
I mean it's a better playing game. Yeah, it doesn't. Like the
people that automatically like I'll never understand, and I get it, I get
it. If you're used to sixty, right, then at that point you

(23:22):
should definitely you should have a PC, right because yo, Like, even
you can say what you want aboutthe oh my god, the PS five
pro is gonna do this or thator whatever. Yo. Yeah, there's
always gonna be times where they're gonnaeither lock it or they're gonna do what

(23:45):
Dragon's Dogma did, which is like, oh, we're just gonna have this
unlocked frame rate, and that's evengonna be more nuts. Right. Yeah.
I think they didn't. They saidthey didn't release the new trailer with
all these previews, so no pointin us showing it here, But honestly,
from the previews that I did seeof folks that have played it on
YouTube, it looks really great. It looks like the audio stuff is going

(24:08):
to be even more crazy immersive thanit was before. And I don't think
we're gonna be going nuts about whetherit's thirty or sixty or whatever when the
actual game comes up. Right, this is always a big deal that gets
made and they obsessed over it,and it's like automatically all I'm not playing
this game now, and I waslike, hey, yeah, I'm PC.

(24:30):
You can lock the frame rate anddo whatever you want, but it
might be better on console to justleave it the way it is. And
I think we're still going to seethe issue with the PSI Pro. It's
still not going to play every singlegame at sixty or whatever. You're still
going to have the different modes. And I get people want the mode,
right, you want the ability todo even if it looks bad, like
Rebirth. Do you want to beable to play sixty fbs? And I

(24:53):
get that, right. There's peoplethey just can't deal with it, and
that's cool if it sucks if youcan't. But I adjusted after an hour
or so because I was like switchingbetween on rebirth and I after a while
just said, you know what, quality mode looks way too good to keep
switching back and forth. And Iadjusted and it still plays great even though

(25:14):
it's at thirty. So you're makingtoo big a deal about that stuff.
But they did reveal that, youknow, that one of the co founders
of Ninja Theory left the studio atsome point. They don't really say exactly
when. They just kind of wereable to talk to a Microsoft rep that
just said, oh, Antonatees,I don't really know if I'm saying his

(25:37):
right. His name right, Antonatees, I guess is is no longer with
him. He was the company's chiefcreative director and a co founder of the
studio. Uh, I don't knowwhat this is like that big a deal.
It feels like a lot of thesethese guys are like taking the money
that they're getting from being with Microsoftand just saying, you know what's also

(26:03):
it's more a contract deal. Yeah, that's it has to stay there for
a year or two or whatever toget vested. And then he's all right
past yeah exactly. It's like,Okay, well, I'm gonna get a
bunch of money for being here forthis time the games where it's at,
it's almost done or going to befinished by because now it's like a team

(26:23):
of three different people that are kindof heading this up, so which is
like the environment art director, thevisual effects director, and the audio director.
They're kind of all combining to bethe leads and the planet. Yeah.
Yeah, look, we'll see whenthis game comes out, which hey,

(26:45):
we're almost like a month and ahalf out from then on May twenty
first, and hopefully it's good. It's one of the ones I've been excited
for for this year, so Ihope it lands and is able to deliver
on that. Also, just recentlyannounced on the weekend, it feels like
we're really gearing up to the whole. Oh there's a new console going to

(27:07):
be coming sooner rather than later isSarabon came out and announced well, this
is like an internal memo that gotreleased and was put on like Windows Central
and other places that they have builta preservation team for the old games to
be able to continue forward and makingsure that you know, those digital purchases
that you bought everything are going tokeep going, which that's good. What

(27:33):
about the emulation ninja just doing thebackward compatibility stuff. I mean, the
last time they ever talked about it, he said that they'd gotten to the
point where he feels like they can'tdo anymore as far as releasing new old
games onto the list of games thatare there. But I don't know if
that's gonna include. Maybe they're gonnatry to see if there's some more that

(27:59):
they can Proossbill be fine. Butwhat she says is that we're building on
our strong history of building backwards compatibilityto our players or remain committed to bringing
forward the amazing library of the Xboxgames or future generations of players to enjoy.
You know, we want to makesure that all of our stuff continues.
We're moving full And then she alsomentions again about the next gen hardware,

(28:22):
so at least they're not dropping thatthey're going there's going to be another
iteration of hardware. Do you thinkthis means we'll finally maybe you get to
be able to play our games onthe cloud or if you have game Pass
you also have access to be ableto play those games without having to remote
into the console. What do youthink this is other than just ensuring is

(28:45):
there anything to this other than justokay with the whatever Xbox is going to
be called, your digital purchase stillwork there, I think it's I think
it's just only that at least fornow. Yeah, yeah, they're gonna
there's probably some some games probably can'tbe played over the cloud or just buy.
Some weird licensing stuff going on withsome certain stuff. Yeah, I

(29:07):
mean, I'm sure all the CrabsAlien will be, but that's not everything
on that service. Yeah, Phildidn't say that, he you know,
Phil Spencer did say that he's lookingat He thinks by this year, possibly
by that June showcase, they'll beable to announce that you can play the
games you own via the cloud oryou know, whether it's remote player or

(29:33):
whatever. It also helps that ifthis whole rumor of a Xbox handheld that
we talked about last time is actuallyhappening, you're gonna be able. That's
the way you're gonna be able toplay those games. You're gonna, you
know, have your digital ecosystem becauseyou're probably not gonna able to put a
disc in there or card treasure oranything like that. So this is all
digital. So yeah, they definitelyhave to make sure that works if this

(29:57):
is going to be people's motive play. You gotta make that work for the
next generation because I imagine that thathandheld is going to work with whatever the
next generation Xbox is. It doesmake me think that they are probably gonna
that rumor about they're just going tostart the console generation early kind of makes

(30:19):
me feel like with this an aspectof the preservation team and all this other
things that they're kind of doing, they are going to try to aim for
that twenty twenty six yea, eventhough I kind of feel so weird about
saying that, Like, just again, we're sitting here talking about PlayStation releasing
a PS five Pro. We haven'teven really felt like it's scratched the surface

(30:41):
of we're still getting cross gen gamesright now, and we're just going to
restart the generation again cross cross games. Yeah, yeah, exactly. I
feel like we're still going to begetting games to play on the Xbox One
when the Xbox series whatever it isit comes out. But talking about that

(31:03):
June showcase, though they did, there are rumors going around. Jeff Grubb
was on the kind of Fatskas andthen he was on his own, you
know, Game mess show talking aboutwe're finally gonna see it. We're gonna
see the Gear six reveal at thisthing and gyp are you five? But

(31:26):
it'd be nice, I guess.I mean, it's weird like they've had
a bad they've had a very badrun of letting their own franchises fall by
the wayside. Mm hm. SoI guess it'd be nice if Gear six
came out. I don't think Gearlike I think people like Gears five kind
of, but it seemed like itreally felt it really kind of wasn't that
popular. And I don't know ifit's because of like the story part or

(31:49):
because they more than an open worldgame, but seeing that the hable infinite,
I guess, yeah, I hopeit continues the story. I guess
that's I mean, it's supposed tobe the end of the trilogy. Yeah
this, Yeah, that's a cliffhangerwith the with the girl or whatever,
right with Kate. Yeah, butI don't know, it'd be nice because

(32:13):
you know, like I said, could use a win. Yeah, definitely,
I think having a big game likeyears be able to come out,
And I don't know if it's gonnabe twenty twenty four. It feels like
that's how good game at least,I mean, I don't know. I
think I sent you the VGC editoriallast week. But Xbox is like faltering

(32:34):
or you know, like the guyand the guy made a good point about
like Phil has taken the uh theXbox division from third place to third place
in the console wars. Wow,that's harsh but accurate. Like yeah,
but I mean that's the whole thingis that Phil hasn't really who knew the
Switch was gonna do what it did, right, Like, you can't compete

(32:55):
with that when they have a lowerpowered console. It goes everywhere, right.
But I mean, even even ifthe Switch is like just you know
a console like you know, regularyou know, at home console, the
Switch still has you know, Marioand Animal Crossing and Pokemon and that's been

(33:17):
I would say the biggest problem withthe Xbox is Xbox has Forza. And
that's cool. And Xbox has Forza. Like you know, Halo Infinite didn't
hit quite right, you know,Gears six is I mean, well Gears
five didn't, I mean didn't hitquite right. They have a few wins

(33:37):
like you know, High five Rushor c this, but those aren't like
the big system sellers that like youknow, a God of War is or
a spider Man is, so yeah, yeah, well, I think part
of it too is that, youknow, if if you look at what
we could say that what you justsaid about you know how all that,

(34:00):
but it didn't work with the WEU, right, we you sold terribly.
So it just still just depends onthe console as far as like, but
they didn't release a million games,it felt like in twenty seventeen alone that
that whole year of having awesome gamesevery month definitely helped sell your console,
right right. I think Xbox doeshave that problem of they bought all these

(34:23):
studios, they had what they hadtwo different years in this generation already where
they barely had anything, and thenwhen you finally do release something, it's
not like it's a slew of hits. You had Starfield, which that was
major mojorally mostly good, but youhad a lot of mixed bad or negative.

(34:47):
And then you had Okayzo right likeyou said, especially the non arcade
forwards. So that's kind of likethat goes into a sector of people that
will play those games and subject ofa subject, right, because at least
Horizon has the ability to kind ofopen it up to more people that are
just casual, uh, you know, race race car fans. But for

(35:09):
the Motorsport, the regular series isjust very car enthusiast heavy. So that's
not going to build her. ButI haven't touched that game at all because
of that because I know how thosegames play and I don't want to go
through that frustration. But it's tome, it's just not as fun.
Like I get it. If you'rea car guy and you like all that
stuff, that's great. Yea morepower to you. And I gonna care

(35:30):
about gear ratio setups and like that. Yeah, definitely not. And I
don't care about the AI driving thecar and all that other bullshit either.
So, like the thing is alot of their games that people are waiting
on still haven't come out yet, right, Like Fable hasn't come out yet.
You know this year is going tobe avowed. Okay, we'll see

(35:52):
how that does. Is that goingto move people to want to get Xbox
or get Game Pass or whatever? You know, it's you got Indiana Jones
is not gonna That's gonna move somepeople. But again we've talked about where
that franchise is. I think inthe greater scheme of when we're talking about

(36:12):
franchises. Uh, that movie doingreally bad did not help anyone, even
though they're using younger Harrison Forward. But still I didn't realize how bad that
we didn't talk to that video aboutit. I was like, because you
know, people should on Crystal Schoolall the time, but that maybe made
seven hundred and fifty million. Yeah, last one made three hundred fifty million,
so definitely and did not did notdo well. But the thing also

(36:37):
with Xboxes game pass helps, ithelps a lot. I feel like they
still don't do enough promotion with gamePass. I feel like a lot of
game passes promotion is to the samepeople that already know game pass exists,
and you're not doing enough promotions tothe people that need to know the game
pass exists. That the casual players, the people that that like turn on

(36:58):
their Xbox to play Call of Dutyand and they don't touch it again,
like the families, those kind ofthings that like, oh for your kids,
Oh this is amazing. You canjust pay this fifty dollars price or
seventeen dollars nowadays or whatever and youget access to all these games. Right
when I've talked to it. WhenI've talked to adults that have kids that

(37:20):
also play, they go, ohmy god, that's great or whatever.
The only problem is those games thatare on there their kids are They're into
Spider Man, or they're into someof the PlayStation so it doesn't really help
them at that point. But theparent that sees the value says, oh
wow, this is great. Right. Obviously, now PlayStation has their own
version of that that kind of cutsinto Microsoft as well, where it's like,

(37:43):
oh, I can just get Psplusand I don't have it's the same
thing. Basically, I think there'sa bad messaging there. I think there's
the I think sometimes you have towonder about their whole thing with PC about
putting the games on PC. Ithink it's great for peace players. I
think it does open that door more. And I get that they went in

(38:04):
this direction because they have to,because at this point, I don't think
if they if they close, youcan't put the genie back in the bottle.
If they closed everything again, you'rejust gonna have people just not buying
an Xbox. Right. They've alreadyopened the door with releasing games on other
systems, so they can't go backwardsanymore. But I do wonder sometimes if
that whole putting everything on PC dayone hurt them because there's no reason to

(38:28):
buy an Xbox. You can justbuy a PC. Yeah, and I
technically, you know, do that. Yeah, I mean I do think
also that the dongle not coming outmight have hurt them as well, like
not able not being able to figureout that, like not being able to
figure out a price and getting thatto work, where all I have to

(38:49):
do is stick in this thing intomy TV and use the Internet for it
to work, and I can playmost of the games. Obviously, some
of the games you're gonna have blagand there's gonna be a problem. And
I'm sure that's an issue too, like the cloud being where I think they
wanted to be, and they theystill have this stupid thing with the FTC,
which means they can't update the cloudanymore because then that will trigger the
FTC to have something against them.So they're still waiting for that crap to

(39:13):
end as well. If they didhave a positive that, you know,
Sarah Bonnd announced that that whole thingwhere she said about the preservation team is
that Diablo four now has tons ofplayers on Xbox and it has now become
the dominant platform for Diablo four becausethe game pass, So yeah, I
can make it basically free. Likeyeah, well it does help. I

(39:34):
mean, it hasn't helped them atall. That seasons one through three are
not motivating people to to play thatgame, so the only way they can
really help is to get new peopleinto there. So ily one weird think
about that Gameyabo four and Diablo threehas a systet extent as well. But
they did fix part of it isthey have like a seasonal thing, like

(39:54):
I think season one is exam playerpowers, so the season end did,
but they didn't roll that back intothe main game or what they call the
Eternal Season or Eternal Realm Order thebullshit they call. So it just feels
like there's a really really segmented thingfor the game that like isn't part of
the main character or you know, the one that you started off with,

(40:16):
and they don't like reincorporate that intoit. So that's my thought. Yeah,
I mean Della four has has definitelyhas problems. That's yeah, we
can't really beat around the bush withthat too much, and like you know,
it's not like you're sitting there playingit all the time, right,
You're right, you played it duringthat review period and then I played occasionally.

(40:39):
But yeah, it's not like I'mI'm not going back to it every
day or anything or you know, every yeah, like once once every two
weeks. Maybe it's like, oh, I so I have this installed.
Why do you think that is justbecause there's just like not stuff to do
that's fun or yeah, I thinkI mean except for like you know,

(41:00):
the same like random quests that I'vedone already five hundred times, and then
that's I can do in the game, and I don't want to start a
new character, like the whole Cruxis starting a new seasonal characters, Like
no, why would they do that? I want to like, I want
to just play my character and misgive me the new ship. Like what
do you think the point of thatis? Like I've never heard somebody go

(41:22):
I want to start a new characterall the time. Like all I've ever
heard about with those games and MMOsin general, is making my new character
more powerful. I think, well, I think for like MMOs and stuff,
it's partially like, oh I canstart a new class and there's that
extendent. I guess in Diablo, like oh I want to play Barbaria and
now I want to play Druid orwhatever. But I think they they really

(41:45):
want to make it so it's like, oh, like Diablo is I'd spend
a thousand hours in Diablo because Ihave all these characters. No, no
one does that, or except youknow, the people who do do it
are like insane, you know, yeah, it's yeah, it's definitely,
but they're like, Okay, youlike the mechanics of Diabolo, but you're
you're like super hooked on that gameto the point where whatever you do with

(42:06):
that character doesn't matter to you.You just want to keep playing and being
the seasons, which that feels likea very very uh you got to be
like Diablo's got to be your favoritegame. Yeah, yeah, yeah no,
And for me, I just don't. I actually just don't like the
world of Diablo four that much.Like I actually liked it. Diablo three
look a lot more like the brightkind of sunny look or you know,

(42:29):
like the colorful look. Yeah, the Gablo four is so muted and so
just you know, boring. That'sall right. Here, I'm exploring these
dark souls look looking levels. Youknow, I've heard a lot of that
too. It's like a lot ofthe same colors, not a lot of
change there too. So yeah,uh, xbos got some things going on

(42:52):
to see if that June showcase cankind of light a fire under Like Xbox,
it's like a practical example, likeyou played rebirth right, yes,
but they said, hey, we'reannouncing the new season the final panety seven
where we played the game from Barrett'sstoryline or you know, Barrett, he's
the only character you play, Likeimagine like to take out character, switching

(43:14):
it all and you just play throughcloud the entire game. It's like,
here's new, here's Barrett season onehundred more hours. Would you want to
do that? And then what whatare they adding to the story? Aside
from that? I just get toplay as maybe like five percent barely five
percent new stuff, you know,if that and assume it probably be terrible.

(43:37):
And then after that, after that, they announced here's Kate's storyline,
here's one hundred more hours off youknow, yeah, if there's if there's
not a lot that's being added whereI could just watch those story clips on
YouTube right uh, And it's likeI love the Comma system, but I
don't want to play as the onecharacter the entire time. Yeah. The

(43:58):
reason why sixteen were is because Clive'sstory to me is really good, and
you know they expanded to on thatwith the DLCs and whatever. The combat
is fun, but that whole storyis built around Clive, right. The
difference is this whole story is builtaround the different characters, and as much
as I love Seven's characters, Idon't know that like unless you're one of

(44:21):
those. Again, it's similar likethe album. I want the challenge,
right, I want the challenge ofwhat that would be like to play is
bear at the entire time? Andhow do I deal with these this sposs
that I had Cloud and Tifa toplay with instead? You know, like,
Okay, if you're gonna give methat option and you're really a big
fan of that, okay, that'scool for you, but it it diminishes

(44:43):
the more you keep doing these things. It's not a mode that's gonna get
people to play again. It's gonnaget the hardcore of the hardcore people to
play. And that's it right, right, That's exactly God was probably,
Yeah, it's not even like whatyou do with hard mode, like where
you okay, I'm still playing thesame, Like that's the thing is,
Like, okay, I get it, if you want to. I guess
they have those, right, Dieblohas its difficulty mode whatever, Right,

(45:07):
but you're still starting like like you'restill storating fresh or you know. It's
like look here, started from levelone, go up to level one hundred.
So if you switched modes difficulty modes, it makes you switch the character.
No, no, no, Imeant with the season stuff. Sorry,
okay, but it's I don't ittook me long enough to get one
character to level one hundred. Idon't want to do this, you know,

(45:28):
five more times or you know howeverlong you know, how many more
seasons you got for me? LikeI'm guessing you get like better loot if
you play on like nightmare difficulty orwhatever. Right, Yeah, it's more
difficult, it is, the betterloot you get, all right, So
that makes sense. Yeah. Soyeah, that's like hard modes. So
if you want to do that andthat's something that's fun to you, then

(45:49):
that I think that gives more playersand incentive to go and do that again.
Esple's sally. If you know it'sthe Platinum Trophy or achievements or whatever.
But yeah, just just telling methat you're gonna, oh, let's
redo a character and then I gottado the whole same thing over again.
No thank you, no thing,And I don't get that for anybody,
Like anybody that I've heard talk aboutthis game, that is the biggest complaint

(46:13):
is why is this a thing?Just let me play the same character with
the seasonal stuff, even if thatmeans I get through the seasonal stuff in
ten hours or whatever it is orfive hours. I got to do it
because they want, you know, games to not last twenty hours, want
the last two thousand hours. Soyeah, it's it's that's not giving people
an incentive to keep playing. Itdoesn't mean but yeah. Outside of that,

(46:37):
Sony is also once again planning theirown showcase. It looks like they
might do it in May again, just like last year, to avoid the
whole uh brew haha with Summer GamesFest, where whereas Xbox is doing theirs
in that same like opening weekend, just like you'd be soft as doing theirs
again, kind of making it morelike E three used to be. Uh,

(47:00):
Sony's just like, I forget it. We're Sony, we got big
games, we got things we gotto show people. Let's get out ahead
of that, which to me hasalways been smart. Even Nintendo did that
last year as well. Where theydidn't do it tied the Summer Games Fest,
they kind of did it on theirown. And Yeah, it looks
like this is what's going to happen. Uh, so far, we've we're

(47:22):
not really getting anybody leaking anything. It's a lot of the stuff we already
know exists, like Marathon, FairGames, Concord, the Middleburg, Solid
Sun Hill to kind of thing.Yeah, is there anything that you're looking
forward to? Maybe that they couldshow it the Sony Medieval To remastered.

(47:44):
I want to see if they showmore Wolverine. I guess I know I'm
on the show more Wolverine, butthe show like the Venom spinoff, Yeah,
the Venom DLC. That's kind oflike at this point, you as
what just announce it? Uh,there might be some kind of tie in
again to find want they they're aboutto release or already release the new game
plus with the different stuff. Yeah, right, I don't know if you

(48:07):
saw when they announced that when theyreleased it a two months ago or I
think like a month and a halfago or whatever, the debug menu was
concluded with it, Yeah, whichis hysterical. And then I saw it,
I think the one of the gamingYouTube channels like did a video it
can play Venom through this thing. It's like, all right, cool.

(48:28):
Well, of course you had tobe able to play him to be able
to do different stuff. So that'sa sense why you know it's in the
d bug menu. But they're notgoing to give you the debug menu to
play like a few hours. Yeah, it didn't take very long for them
to do that, but yeah,it's gonna be fun when they do show

(48:50):
it. Hopefully there is some coolthings to show, some surprises. That's
why you'd like those showcases. Andthey could definitely give you, uh things
to be excited about for sure.Something I found interesting, but I guess
it doesn't really. It kind oftells you where we're at with games is
a new zoo. This is theirsecond year of doing this like industry report

(49:12):
that they do, and what itshowed was that basically sixty six titles are
counted for eighty percent of all playtimelast year, and sixty percent of that
was spent on games that are sixyears or older. Five of them are
Fortnite, GTA five, League ofLegends, Minecraft, and Roadblocks YEP,
which are counted for twenty per sevenpercent of that time, and only the

(49:38):
rest of that which is a verysmall percentage, includes games that are two
years or younger, and then twentythree percent of those games are the annual
stuff like EA, Sports FC,Madden, and etc. Et cetera.
Just eight percent was spent on newnon annual games like Boulder Skate three,

(49:59):
Double four and stuff that tells youI think a lot of where we're at
with games, with the state ofthe economy, with inflation, with I
think the generations right also like Generategen Z and gen Alpha, they just
want to play Fortnite wherever the heckthat you can play Fortnite, or you

(50:22):
know, the folks that love toplay Call of Duty and that's the game
that they play, they do that, right, the plans that play two
K and EA, Sports FC andMadden, that's what they do. There's
really not an incentive for you togo play these new games when you have
your old faithfuls that you can justgo back to when you want to spend

(50:43):
an hour playing a game. SoI don't think that that changes much.
I think that that does show thatthat there's a narrow scope that these live
service games have to hit and ifyou don't do something like Hell Divers too
or Power World to a lesser Iguess a greater cent when it was a
big deal lesser now because they keepdropping in uh player levels. But obviously

(51:07):
they don't have a lot of newcontent either. It's a different kind of
game than Hell Divers, right,I mean does this kind of tell you
like, these all these people thatare doing this live service stuff, they're
kind of this is the wrong direction. You're not going to be able to
get them to drop a lot ofthese games to play those What do you
happen on? Man? I gotSuicide Squad? Like how popular that is?

(51:29):
Uh? It tells me yeah, like if it hits live service is
extremely lucrative, But the chances ofit hitting are why don't you spend the
money you spend on the eleventh inthe game buying lottery tickets? You know?
Even better shot at that? Youknow? And yeah, Pal World
and Hell Divers two head, butI think those games aren't like greedy about

(51:52):
their live service trackings or that theyare to an extend, but they're not.
It's not like hitting you over theface with it, like Suicide Squad,
you know. Ah, I wouldsay, like if you if you
want to, if you want tokill off a good game or kill off
a good life service game, addedtwo to it and call it like you

(52:13):
know Minecraft two. Look what theydid is Overwatch. Yeah, that's why
you don't see that, right,we haven't even seen Destiny try to like
come out and be like Destiny three, right, because they don't want to
get people to be like, ohmy god, it's a new game.
I gotta start all over I gottado you know. I imagine when Destiny
three eventually does come out, it'llit'll have some character import thing or you

(52:35):
know, some type of ability totransfer characters. But it's I would say,
it's technically a problem. It's youknow, people are still playing GT
five online and that thing's over adecade old. Yeah, get on into
life or you know there there isother shit out there. But I mean,
but we also don't know what thatperson's income is like, or if

(52:58):
we're talking about like younger kids thatdon't have income to just throw around or
well they shouldn't be playing GTA fivethen at all, come on that.
We know, we know that thereare a younger subset of people playing GGA
five. This shouldn't be, butthey are. It's always been that way.
It's interesting that Starfield was the onlysingle player base game that made the

(53:21):
list. Again, it just showsyou how much like this is why they're
chasing that because multiplayer games are stillbig money. Well, I mean you
could you can meet the argument bouldersGate three. I mean, you can't
play that co op, but youknow you can play a single player too.
Yeah, a single player. It'snot just some you know, big
MMO or big. It's not likeonline required like right old average two or

(53:45):
something. Yeah, it is alwayskind of just interesting to look at that
kind of stuff and see where we'reat and see why they're doing this,
but also see why a lot ofthem fall fail. You know, like
Folm Stars came out and I don'thear anyone ever talking about that game at
all. It also Springs killed itthemselves, right, I mean, still

(54:07):
will never understand why would you doa file Fantasy seven Rebirth showcase the day
the freaking game comes out? Why? Yeah, well wait until they announced
on fantas Haven, rebirth content forfilm stars, and yeah, every ship
for like a week and then forgetabout it. I got a feeling.

(54:27):
I mean, I think the gameis I've heard the game is technically fine,
but when Multiverses comes back again nextmonth, it's like, no,
maybe you don't catch on again, but I know twice, you know,
yeah, how to catch on forlike a week though, and then everyone
will be like, all right,we're good. You know what they have

(54:49):
they they haven't announced like what newcharacters and stuff are going to be in
it. I don't thank yeah,because I mean they didn't even now get
through their full their initial player roster. So yeah, I mean it's it's
good that they were able to dothat, right, to like improve the
game and do all the stuff thatthey wanted to do with it, which
I think it's that's great when youcan do that, But obviously Warner Brothers

(55:12):
is doing it because they they believeright that they think this when it comes
out again, even better, it'sgoing to make even more money. But
I mean, Warner Brothers also theworst example of like live service mentality when
they going like we want everything, they want everything to be live service.
So of course it makes sense.Best of luck to everybody doing the multiverses.

(55:36):
I never want to see games, you know, go down like that.
It had a really cool rune first, so let's see if they can
they can do it again with thesecharacters. It's not like we're gonna get
an new Smash anytime soon, sowhy not give it a shot. A
new Smash game would be at thispoint extremely insane. I don't know how

(56:00):
they're gonna be able to like,Okay, you only got you only got
two options, either a keep allthe content and just have more or be
completely resentent. I think that's theproblem. It's like, it's not the
same as Mario Kart, where likeNintendo owns all that shit, right,
and they can just decide to doit again and add more ship on top

(56:21):
of it with new mechanics, rightright, or just do another DLC pass
or release all that crap separately andget people to pay again, whatever they
want to do, but Smash BrothersMan to get all those lessonses again,
to get every single one of thosecharacters again. They're like, this is
why this is called Smash. There'sultimate like that is that is not simple
and for Soccer as well, Likethis point, how long is that guy

(56:45):
going to keep working on this series? Every time he comes up with a
video, he's always like, oh, I'm so tired, you know.
And I feel like if you're gonnado that and add even more to it,
like my gosh, I don't Ifeel like if we're getting a Smash
Brothers whatever the next switch To versionat all, could they possibly just do

(57:08):
another DLC pack and just leave thatalone, because I don't see the I
to see more danger of You're gonnalose so many characters that people are gonna
be like, ah, this isa regression, right, Yeah, people
are gonna ride. Yeah. It'slike, look at all the stuff you
had to do to get sore inthe game, and then you're gonna tell

(57:29):
me that you gotta try to getthem again and it's not gonna happen.
Like yeah, I wouldn't be surprisedthat they just add like get soccer right
to do this again and be like, Okay, six more fighters, let's
do it for switch dude. WhereasMario Kid nine, they are working on
it. We know that such characters, here's miss pac Man. I'm sure

(57:50):
there's a huge list of people thatlook characters that they all want to see
in that for sure. But yeah, speaking of fighting games though, or
fighting ish games, depending on ifyou consider smassive fighting game or not.
Uh tech An eight has added theirown Fighter Pass, and people are upset
about it because you know, youpay seventy dollars for a game, then

(58:12):
you're getting a battle pass and thatkind of thing, and then there's also
different versions of the battle pass dependingon how much you want to pay.
You like, take an eight.I mean, I'm paying eight's fine,
but I don't like teching it allstill. I mean, but it makes
sense, like yeah, of course, because every fighting game has to have
a season pass now or you know, battle pass thing or whatever, right,

(58:36):
But I think a lot of peopleare upset that they didn't do the
Street Fighter thing, and like Iannounced it at the beginning, they waited
until the game has been out fora while to just be like, hey,
there's fighter pass and you got topay for it. Do you think
that's scummy at all? Or justthis is kind of the way it is
now? Well, they had athey did, I mean the coade I

(58:58):
got at least it had like itwas like the ultimate da, so it
already had Like I think I hadthe season fans sort to bake into it,
so I got you know, EddieGordo. I think I think that's
different than this though, Like Ithink, yeah, it's like the weird
Yeah, I don't know. Ithink it's an incentive thing. I guess

(59:19):
it depends on how much do youreally care about a lot of this craft,
Like do you care about your avatarclothing or avatar hairstyle? No,
Like, I think season passes canbe fine, but if you have to
weigh it against how exploitative it isversus h you know, general interest,

(59:40):
right, And I think I don'tthink they should go away either. No,
I think season passes are fine.Like if you're telling me that,
okay, it's gonna be battle passes, I yeah, yeah, that's what
I meant. My thing with battlepasses is more of like, if you're
gonna say that this helps you sothat you can keep working on the game

(01:00:01):
and you can keep providing content forit later than the line, Okay.
My issue with the battle pass islike if the game now becomes all shifted
towards the battle pass, then that'smy issue, is doing that whole like
trying to capitalize on Fomo thing ofoh, if you don't do this in
a certain amount of time, thebattleast is going to be gone and you

(01:00:22):
lose this character and you lose allthis stuff and then oh well here comes
the next one. And that's meis where it gets a little that's going
away. But and that's thing wasjust like, hey, here's this thing,
we are going to incentivize you tokeep playing the game. You'll go
at it. That's one thing. But also a lot of these battle passes

(01:00:44):
have like really ridiculous requirements or alot of you know, stuff that is
designed to waste your time or makeit the extremely hard. That's what I
don't like. Yeah, very estriming. And then Herad has also kind of
been on social media with jokes aboutputting waffle House into the game and well

(01:01:05):
everyone wants him to and wait, what he should do is just make the
waffle House stage part of the battlepass. But like here you go,
yeah, if you rank one hundredin the battle pass, you unlocked the
stage and then also you know, you got uh the of course, TIFA
has been a thing that's been likethey and he made the joke about it.
We know she looks we know she'sa great looking character, but we

(01:01:27):
haven't many decisions with that. Andthen he's also taking picture with Yoship and
everybody's talking about Clive because we didhave Knock Knocked Us in the game.
Would be interesting. I forget Tifaput Kate Sif in the game. Mm
hmm, not crazy with that withthe Google, Yeah, what do you

(01:01:52):
think about his idea of you know, we did have Teken Tag tournament At
one point he says that, youknow, the younger generation likes these team
base games so they can blame otherpeople and not themselves for losing. That
it does seem like this is adirection fighting games you need to pay attention
to. Like, what do youthink about this? I guess like the
mal Ver skapcom kind of thing ofit of doing these three on three or

(01:02:16):
other things. Yeah, I waslike that, I mean Dragon Ball Fighters
he does that? Or uh sureand more crossover should be good or yeah,
I think if you added as amode that allows people to have different
ways to play, I think that'sgreat, you know kind of. I
think the problem with techniques specifically though, would be like there has to be

(01:02:37):
like a big load between characters, right I'm playing. I played as Eddie
for the first round, and thenI switched to the French guy I forget
his name in the second round, and then it switched to Kuma in the
third. They can't stroll that calpof memory, yeah, like putting them
putting h So you don't think theycould do like a six three wet three

(01:03:00):
like mode that's separate as like deal, not unless it was like very at
least some visually. Also, Ithink it'd be like instant character switchween like
you know, d o a Hator you know Marveloth Catcown has it,
and it'd be like at the endof the round, it's like do you
want to switch your character? Oh? Okay, you think something like that?

(01:03:21):
All right, Yeah, that's whatChools did. Yeah, I mean
definitely it's something I get that he'ssaying people like to have these kind of
tags, beals, but I meanI definitely see that, at least for
the fighting in community, that theseone on one games are certainly right big
deal, And I mean techan hasbeen selling well, so that's a positive

(01:03:43):
thing for benon Namco on that front. As they're sitting there waiting for that
Elder Ring dalc to hit in Juneboost them up some more. It's gonna
be interesting to see how much sandLands also comes out during that same week
as Cellar Blade and all that stuffof how well that's going to do.
I imagine they are going to plasterto his name all over that fucking thing.

(01:04:08):
Yeah. By the way, also, if anybody is interested, I
tried to play, and I it'sjust one of those things that I have
no frame reference for san Land,so I don't America. So yeah,
I mean the anime just hit Americalike last month or whatever. So yeah,
I might have to, like,I don't know, watch the anime

(01:04:30):
and see how it is and thenmaybe I'll care about the game. But
yeah, maybe go back to itat that point. But speaking of you
mentioned Toriama dragon Quest, it isgoing through some things right now. Screenix
had to reassign you Miaki, directorof the board who's been with Green since

(01:04:53):
nineteen ninety two. Lord. Andthen also because looks like dragon Quest twelve
is running into some issues. It'sbeen long in development. It feels like,
you know, they announced it foreverago, along with the dragon Quest
three remake that's supposed to be doinglike the you know, more than just
HDGD kind of stuff, and bothof those have kind of been silent ever

(01:05:17):
since those announcements where they did thatbig stream and everything, and then the
other games that were announced on thatshow have all come out at this point,
the dragon Quest Treasures, the Mobilething, the Dark the Monsters game,
all that stuff's been out, butwe don't have anything on dragon Quest
twelve or dragon Quest three at thispoint, and a lot of people have

(01:05:42):
been wondering what the heck's going on. You know, obviously we don't know
how far along the stuff. Idon't know if the Toriyama passing had anything
to do with any of that aswell. Also, sadly it was his
birthday on April fifth, he wouldhave been sixty nine. Uh. Even
sadder that it happened like right aroundthis time, just kind of out of

(01:06:04):
nowhere, but yeah, it's it'sweird, like, uh, this is
one of Springs the big franchises. We haven't heard a lot about it.
We've been hearing a ton about PoleFantasy all this time, but dragon Quest
has been very slow and they're justkind of out of nowhere. Announced that
they they reassigned this guy. SoDragon question many a long running franchise,

(01:06:26):
and I think it's popular in Japan, right, it's kind of popular franchise
worldwide. I love it made ita lot more popular. Yeah right,
it's probably even on the level aslike most final fantasies. Yeah, I
agree they. Bloomberg also says thatthis is part of like a wider reshuffle

(01:06:48):
within Springix to make it less relianton external resources and making it more about
Triple A. This is that thatnew president that's kind of come in and
made a lot of changes. Youknow, they made uh Hamagucci the the
director of Rebirth, one of thehe got moved up in rank as well,
along with Asano, who you know, he used to produce a doctor

(01:07:12):
about Traveler games. So they've beendoing a lot of like promoting and moving
around ever since they brought him in. And you know, he's younger himself,
so it feels like maybe he justwants to kind of like, let's
usher in a new era. Let'slet's start getting some of these older creators
kind of out the door and movedthem into I guess, you know,

(01:07:33):
the executive kind of levels and andlet's get some new new thoughts, new
new things going on. But Iknow that the composer of Dragon Quast died
a few years ago. And yeah, as much as that, like he
did good work, a good musicwork, but I don't think it was
a good person. He was likea really weird He always had this like

(01:07:55):
bad attitude of though like times wherea game with his music that might be
a good thing. Yeah, it'sit is kind of weird that if you
were excited because this was supposed tobe, oh, we're going to make
some change to the term based system, it's going to be darker, you
know, Oh, let's it's justgoing to be Dragon Quests for adults kind

(01:08:16):
of thing. And then it feelslike there's a lot of change. A
lot of people were not kind ofsold on that halfway through the development too,
and they're they're kind of making changesthere. So we'll see if anything
comes out of it, uh,and if there's any kind of that's new
track for Dragon Quests based off ofthis, But yeah, it kind of

(01:08:38):
sucks to see that, you know, one of the franchises people are excited
about when it comes to screenings iskind of faltering a bit there. But
uh, going back to film Fantasyfor a little bit there is. I'm
sitting here working my way, tryingto get everything ready for hard mood and
possibly seeing if I want to gofor that platinum. I'm not a trophy
person, but once I I knowI start doing hard when I'm gonna try

(01:09:00):
some of the mini games, I'mgonna try some of the things to do,
uh, just to see if Ican do it, especially because there's
those like tricks like with a threeD brawler that you talked about, the
pausing so you can see where they'reand the piano game. Apparently the trick
is turn the the music off, play it on sil it. I can

(01:09:21):
do that, yeah yeah, soyeah, I still need to go in
and try to get odin as well, so I can do that. Go
go mess. But yeah, apparentlyright now there because of the new pats,
they're gonna patch it again to removethis. But when you do that
last side quest that can't stop won'tstop one then unlocks when you do all

(01:09:43):
the other side quests. Uh,there's a bug that allows you that won't
let you do the highest score onthe g bio. Yeah yeah, but
in mine had had that unfortunately happenedto him, and so you can't get
the platinum because of that. So, uh yeah, it's obviously upset folks.
As you would if you're using allthis other stuff with a platinum and

(01:10:03):
then the freaking g back media gamewill let you platinum it, I'll be
upset too. So they are workingon that as well. So that's that's
good for the folks that want tokeep playing Rebirth. Something I forgot to
ask on the boiler cast that becausewe were running along and Randy had to
go do his own show at thatpoint, they mentioned, you know that

(01:10:26):
they might do DLC for Queen's Bloodright, which that makes sense right with
how big queens Blend is. Doyou think that they because the sixteen DLC
was not supposed to happen. Rightwhen they announced that game, they said
there was no DLC being worked on, right, there's no plans, and

(01:10:47):
then all of a sudden, ohwe not only get one piece of delC,
we get two. Do you thinkthat there could be that with Rebirth
as well? Like could they dovincent or DLC or you think that they're
actually with I think I could seethe Queen's Blood thing being spun off or
it being like a little. Iwouldn't say many, but like a smaller

(01:11:11):
DLC thing were just adding more courageor more opponents in battle. I don't
think like a I don't think Sidor Vincent would be good. Like a
delC for them would be worth it. Unless the SID DLC is just you
playing basically crazy taxi with your airplane. That'd be funny. I would go

(01:11:32):
definitely, And and Sid is justlistening to Offspring all the time. Yeah,
I could the one that would tome. I I get the idea,
right of the reason why you coulddo up is because Red thirteen and
Kate Sith We're still going to benew characters that you could experience for the
first time in Rebirth right. Soeven if you got to experience Ufie's which

(01:11:56):
I still feel like even playing Intermission, I didn't get all of UPI's like
move set there. I got someof it, and you got the introduction
of the synergy abilities and stuff likethat, but you didn't really get to
experience a lot of that until yougot the main game, right. I
do think because Vincent has story thatfrom Dirge right, that you could make

(01:12:18):
a DC that kind of ties alot of Dirge into that and also it's
not Dirge, right, it's Dirgeeventually, So no, yeah, definitely
don't do that, I don't think. But if they did and they used
it with you know, Rebirth remakesBattle System, I think that would be

(01:12:41):
kind of interesting because you're definitely notgonna be able to do all of that
story and in the last game,I feel like there's gonna be stuff that
kind of gets They're they're gonna beso worried about making sure they tie up
all the loose ends that there's gonnabe story stuff that gets left out that
we don't get for. Yeah, but they even add this game, so
I think they could, yeah,in Gongaga at all, but they added

(01:13:06):
her in well she wasn't, butthey also redid Gonaga where it's its own
thing now. So I think itdepends on if you're going to go to
all the other places. I mean, I guess they could add stuff in
there that very much like the originalgame, where you could literally miss it
if you don't go to this placeas far off away that that has like

(01:13:29):
this big lord dump on on Vincentor something. I don't know, but
they could definitely. I'm sure we'regoing to go back to rocket Town in
the third one and and get whateverhe's gonna be, go to rocket Town.
I mean, well, yeah,go to rocket Town. But yeah,
I definitely don't think we're gonna wealready know we're not seeing the same
sin that's gonna be bad mouthing Shilaright the fort, So you know,

(01:13:58):
it's gonna be cool to see howthey tie that in. And then the
fact that they've already kind of mentionedthat they didn't do any of the stuff
of of like, you know,Palmer is still alive, he didn't get
hit by the truck, So howare they gonna do are they They're gonna
do that differently too? About thewhole is it gonna be in it in
the past now about the rocket thing? Or they gonna how are they all

(01:14:18):
gonna tie that together to the future. That's gonna be too. But should
smoking dlc W this replace his modelA cigarette? Here's a different version of
said that you can get if youdo this or that. Uh, you
know, we didn't want to makehim the the actual version because you gotta
sanitize him for this generation. Butyeah, I guess they could do it.

(01:14:45):
But if that means that we getrebirth or sorry, the third game
much faster because they don't have tosiphon off a different team to do DLC.
Then I'm happy for that because Ireally the faster we can obviously by
making the game the quality that youneed to make it, the faster we
can get the game out with lessthings in the way, the more happy,

(01:15:08):
the happier I am. If wecan hit that twenty twenty seven File
Fantasy seven to thirty year anniversary date, I'm good with that instead of having
to wait an extra fourth year becausewe had to do DLC. No release
on the original File Fans seven releasedate that was was that that's the I
forgot when they wasn't like August orsomething. Yeah, I forgot which game

(01:15:33):
it is. That it released onDecember thirty first of that year, and
I was like, that almost doesn'teven count as releasing in right, what
ninety seven or ninety six or whatever. But all right, moving on from
that, I still got a lotto go on if we're gonna get information

(01:15:53):
on that or not. We didget information on Night to the Old Republic
sort of from Saber and our activewho of course now they're their own company
away from Embracer, and he saysthat Go Tour remake is alive and well,
we don't need to be worried aboutthis, clear and obvious that we're

(01:16:15):
working on this. It's been inthe press numerous times. This was because
IGN had an interview with Matthew Karchfrom Saber. Obviously now because you know
they did this deal where they're separate. He didn't talk about any of the
issues or things outright. He says, it's obvious also that there have been

(01:16:39):
questions about the game's development and allthat stuff. But it's okay. So
it's fine. I mean, Iguess it's as good as it's going to
be for now. I mean youhave to wonder, like, did Embracer
had the finances to even get thatproject like going or not? Well,
they retained it. It's still partof Embracer as that you know, that's

(01:17:01):
one of the two projects, thetwo co op projects that they kept.
Yeah, but now I assume that'smore like a licensing deal or more publishing
licensing thing, yeah, or morelike we let you go. We still
want a piece of this pie becauseit's actually popular, right, It's still
funny that whole like Sony kind oflike wanted nothing to do with it after
all this, Well, yeah ithappened, right, So I don't know

(01:17:26):
if that's still true or not,or if that was just people making up
things to make it about console war. But it's good that this game is
still going. Feels like it's veryfar off. So maybe twenty twenty six
for Lucky. Yeah, like ifit doesn't wand up being a PlayStation six
game or something that cochor thing islike is approaching like the Fable or you

(01:17:51):
know, you know remake levels ofwhen is this game coming out? Or
yeah, exactly what you know?Is there any knowledge on it? Yeah,
it feels like we're just we hearlittle reports, but there's nothing else.
Would be interesting if they like surprisewith anything at that showcase that Sony

(01:18:12):
does with it, right, justto be like, hey, we're still
working on it. There's something hereyou go stop stop complaining about it and
just let us do our thing. Here's the trailer again because the music license
expired, that's what they claimed, right, Yeah, we redid it so
that you can have the trailer upthere again. The rest of the stuff
is it's kind of a whatever, unfortunate I guess Ubisoft lays off forty five

(01:18:42):
more employees Global Publishing and Asian Pacificdivisions. They said that over the past
few months, every team with thehas been exploring waste of streamline and that
you know, they have to announcethat further reorganizing seems like what everybody else
is saying constantly, right, Chestnutagain sucks. We're in this where we

(01:19:05):
have to deal with these layoffs,so you just have to self is not
doing great. As we've talked aboutseveral times, Scull and Bones is probably
not helping them. Did you seeseeing the UniSoft and this isn't necessarily bad
against them for ones, did yousee this nonsense about the Crew? Uh,
people are outraged that they took itdown and that must only be crewe

(01:19:27):
people because I have not seen anyoneon my time when talking about that at
all. Well I saw it becausethis guy was like making it, making
a post like yeah, publishers aretaking away our games, and it's like,
first of all, like what areyou talking about? You know what
kind of I say that with Crewmotorfests, they kind of wanted that to

(01:19:48):
become the definitive version of the Crewand that therefore basically you kind of almost
should have expected this, like evenif they did, Like, The Crew
is lasted almost a good decade,so it's had a good run more so
than a lot of other games.Second, off, the Crew wasn't that
good in the first place. Third, when is the last time anyone wanted

(01:20:09):
to play The Crew? You know, it's a lot of like you know,
bombasket language, like oh, ifyou buy this game used at a
game stop, if you buy thisgame, if you find this game,
you can't play it on you can'tplay it anymore. It's like, yo,
dog, what about Babylon's Fall? What about Battle Born? What about
like a whole bunch of other shitthat didn't last a decade that you can't

(01:20:31):
play anymore either, Like and he'stalking about making this big like government push
or making a bunch of like youknow, not well certain not surveys,
but petitions to like the French governmentabout like, oh, it's anti consumer
and all other crap. It's whocares? You know, it lasted a

(01:20:54):
decade, no one plays it andget over it. Yeah, to me,
it's like, for one, there'salso two other versions of this game
now, yeah, like The Crewtwo and Matterfest. Even though I think
they might be doing this with theCrew two as well at something eventually.
Yeah, but like, it's notlike the Crew is gone. Maybe you

(01:21:16):
did like that original version of TheCrew and I get that, but unfortunately,
this is the thing that Look,it sucks. I'm not gonna sit
here and say that it's good. It's not. It's not good at all
when you lose being able to playa game. Could they make an offline
version of it? Sure, wesaw the Knockouts Knockout City developers talk about

(01:21:39):
this. Oh, it'd be coolif everybody made a a offline version so
that you could play this forever. But guess what, not every company wants
to do that. And at theend of the day, they made the
game right. And this is whatsucks about these live service games. They
can literally decide to take them downbecause the majority of it has so you

(01:22:00):
played over the internet, and theydon't want to have the server anymore.
Uh so we're gonna get mad thewe you and and three DS is losing
online play as well, Like thisis the the progression of the times.
Unfortunately. Uh this is why Ithink it's good that Xbox is doing that.
Allowed that team that makes it towhere your stuff is going to continue

(01:22:21):
forward because you are going to eventuallylose access to going onto the three sixty
store. They already told you there'sa I forgot the date, but sometime
this year, I think it was, they're supposed to do it. They're
gonna do it for the Xbox Onestore eventually too, at some point when
when nobody else is really playing theXbox One, they're probably going to do

(01:22:43):
it. Probably not now because they'restill doing cross tain games with that system,
but you know in five or tenyears or whatever, that's going to
go down to. So like that'sthe thing that sucks about. Once these
games became where they're on the internetor you have downloadable content or you have
downloadable only games, this is goingto happen. They're eventually going to be

(01:23:03):
a you know, a time limiton it or you know, an exploration.
And yeah, there are some gamesthat you know, a request want
is still kicking around, you know, twenty five years later or whatever.
Yeah, that's the exception. Notbut that's that's probably making them money in
some form right where it benefits thecost of keeping up the servers or whatever.

(01:23:25):
Again, should maybe the governments getinvolved at some point and make it
mandatory where you have to make anoffline mode. Sure, I've loved that
in the perfect world where governments caredabout that stuff. But unless that happens,
there's nothing there that can unless somebodysue somebody and wins. Uh,

(01:23:45):
there's nothing that says they have toand at least there are other versions of
the Crew out there that you canplay. I know that means you have
to buy something, which that sucksalso, but it's not gone completely right,
right, So yeah, well unlesssome other just just to mention it

(01:24:06):
here, we talked about the Relicsale last week. Now Relic has laid
off employees after that sale. Theydon't really mention it, but there is
a statement from Robin Smail, thedevelopment producer external development producer that says we've
lost a number of amazing people andthen put the number forty one there.

(01:24:29):
So I don't know if that meansthat there's forty one people that lost their
jobs or she just put the numberin there. But still sucks to see
these people laid off after they wereable to continue existing, right, But
yeah, this is the state ofthe game industry at this point. It
sucks. Yep. One other thingthat sucks also, And I'm also glad

(01:24:53):
that my main TV is no longera Roku. But I'm sure that if
this actually happens, the other tthe companies will also do something similar.
They'll just have to pay Roku forthe patent. But Roku has patented a
way for them to send ads throughthings that you have connected to your HDMI
port. So if you put yourPS five or Xbox on pause, they

(01:25:15):
could possibly have some kind of timerthat then puts an AD on your TV
while you have the game pause. Can't wait, we've gotten to this point.
Yeah, Yeah, that's the wholepoint of Yeah, pausing or skipping
is you don't want to watch ads, And it's like, now we're going
to force to watch this ad now, farcker. As long as it doesn't

(01:25:35):
actually take over my game and becomelike a Hulu AD or YouTube ad where
I have to wait the fifteen seconds, I don't care. As long as
it's just I have to press starton my controller again and it goes away.
Here's the thing, I think it'sI think it's I think patent.
This might be okay if they neveractually implement it, right, if they

(01:25:57):
do then I imagine everyone's going toor the Roku in the trash and get
an Apple TV or you know. The thing is once Roku does it and
makes money off of it, andthey show that they made money off of
it if they do it again.Uh, there's a lot of things to
get patented that never see the lotof day. Yeah. Uh, you

(01:26:18):
can bet your bottom dollar that allof these smart TV makers are going to
do it. Yep. Whether youlike it or not, they're going to
tell you that they need the moneyto get ads wherever it is because all
this other shit that they have topay for that we don't pay for,
or whatever it's costing them blah blahblah, whatever bullshit that they want to
come up with. Yeah, it'dbe really funny. Though. It's like

(01:26:42):
the technology is like, oh,you can analyze the scene or analyze it's
on the TV and if it's ifit lasts more than twenty seconds, you
know it's paused. So we're goingto show this ad. It'd be funny.
There's a movie that has like aminute long scene where it's just like
set on someone talk like very staticyeah for some reason, and then halfway
through it and an ad just startsplaying writer a cut scene of somebody doing

(01:27:05):
this position in a video game.Yea, and nothing happens for like that
minute or whatever, and then yousee an ad show up and it's like,
oh my god, this is soanoint Yeah. Yeah, hopefully it's
not that. Hopefully it has tobe that. Like you have, you've
literally left your screen sitting there paused, and not that, oh, there's

(01:27:26):
a movie we're watching all of asudden, bam, an ad. Thanks.
I mean, I guess it wouldbe much different than some of the
ones that, like I love whatPeacock does, where it's like, okay,
show me all the ads at thebeginning and then I can watch the
movie like no problem. But someof them, like Paramount or I forgot
Hulu, they still do the adin the middle. Amazon Prime is doing
that now also a Prime Video theyannounced that thing. I'm just like,

(01:27:49):
whatever to me, if I'm gonnahave all these freakin' look, I get
it. I totally get it.Trust me. I watch enough YouTube now
where it gets on my nerves dependingon what you're watching, because some of
them have more ads than others.Where I've really considered sometimes if YouTube premium
is worth it because I watched somuch YouTube then, Yeah, I got

(01:28:10):
that eventually, because yeah, it'sjust so sick of it. Yeah,
it definitely gets to you. LikeHulu, I'm so used to it.
And I'm also watching a TV showmost of the time, so it's like,
Okay, I'm watching a TV show. I'm used to it being ads.
Right, it does bother me morewhen I'm watching a movie. It
kind of takes me out of it. But I get it. You're so
many of these that, like,if you're gonna make them three hours cheaper

(01:28:31):
to the point where I could literallyhave another one of these for the price
of that I don't have to payfor the ad free version. I'm okay
with it. Just I hate whenthey keep adding on things to the like,
oh, we're going to lower yourquality like Netflix does, right,
Yeah, Netflix lowers the quality, canceled chows people like and then backshit that

(01:28:56):
people don't care about. Yeah, lowers the amount of TVs you can have
on, or or things that youcan have on at once. Watching the
same app then does the which Disneyis doing that now it starts in June,
which that's gonna suck for me.I got to figure out what we're
gonna do because I share my well, I don't want to say this on
recording because I'm just somehow I'm gonnaget but yeah, it's gonna suck that

(01:29:20):
that's gonna happen. And Max hasalready said they're doing it. I'm assuming
that Amazon will probably do it atsome point as well. So Paramount's just
trying to hope somebody buys them,so they don't care. I think so,
but you know, I get it. And now Netflix has shown that
it makes them money, so ofcourse because people that don't want to.

(01:29:43):
But I'll probably just cancel Disney,Well, you'll watch it doesn't even have
like the new season Mandalorian or Icould show you care about or like the
Mark like I'm gonna go and atsome point watch the the Echo thing.
Yeah, just to watch it.But yeah, like when they do the
New Star Wars of that New StarWars that they just show the Alcolyte or

(01:30:03):
whatever, I'll probably do it forthat. But it's just like it's going
to become very possible for me tostart just I'm gonna get it for one
month, watch all the stuff thatI want to watch and then I'm gonna
cancel it. I'm not gonna justkeep having it, right. Stuff is
getting ridiculous at this point. Yeah. So aside from that, also just

(01:30:25):
really quick because it is it isgood. It shows that Apple is opening
up their store a little bit more. Apple is going to let emulators on
their store. They did say that. They also it's up to the yo.
The emulator has nothing to do withthe game. Apple, So I
don't know what you're gonna do about. They have to make sure it's legal,
but they're gonna let emulators be onthe store because of you know,

(01:30:48):
that whole thing that they had todeal with with the you opine union where
they have to open up their theirstore to people. They've been banned on
iOS for a long time. Uh. Most of it I think is like
legal issues or whatever. But again, they have nothing. The emulators don't
have anything to do with the games. So that's just them doing the legal

(01:31:09):
mumbo jumbo that they have to dothat. They're not responsible for people to
download games illegally. Yep. ButI guess this is cool. It's probably
gonna bite more into the whole mobilegame Apple's mobile game store because the people
can just play their old games onon the phone. They're not gonna do
Apple Arcade probably, I don't know. I think most people, most most

(01:31:31):
kind of people won't care. Yeah, then I'm going to go to the
hassle of tracking down like the SuperMario World Ram and then emulator. Yeah,
or they don't want to play iton the fucking phone either. Not
too but with kids like loving doingstuff on the Like literally, I walk
into my daughter's room and she isawake, but she's just sitting there on

(01:31:55):
her phone watching the thing that shecould watch on the TV. That's like
right, a car right, AndI'm just like, I guess that's just
y'all's because she wants to be ableto watch that thing and that if somebody
says something on her discord, shewants to able to press a button and
go to talk to the friend ondiscord immediately. I'm just like, Okay,
you could literally do the same thing, you just pause the TV and

(01:32:18):
talk on discord. But I guessthat's just different generations, right. I
don't want to watch this TV showon a small ass screen and be squinting
in my bed watching it. I'dalrey just turn on the big TV and
watch it there and comfort. Butwhatever, man, Yeah we're old wor
old what do you do? Idon't want to be your old man yelling

(01:32:40):
at cloud kind of thing. Butyeah, I think that's it for the
episode here. We will be backto the regular Friday stuff this upcoming week.
I just yeah, hopefully don't haveany more work issues or whatever.
Enjoy the WrestleMania today. The Saturdayone was actually pretty good. Let's see

(01:33:04):
what they what they do on onthis show. Looks like it's gonna be
a fun time to be a wrestlingfan again. Man. This week,
is that Fallout TV show is dropping? Yes, that too. They had
a behind the scenes trailer that wasthat's gonna be good. Look out for
that. Interesting that they're they're doinglike all the episodes at once, right.

(01:33:25):
Yeah, yeah, so look outfor for that on the eleventh.
Yeah. Prime Prime Video tends todo that more often than most or most
things nowadays. Yeah, for sure. As far as games that are coming
out this week, if you're you'renot into the Fallout show, you got

(01:33:45):
the Spirit City Lo Fi Sessions, which is a cool little indie game that's
about chilling. You can play iton PC. Uh Botany Manor that's coming
on game Pass pretty much. Youknow, one of those simulation games about
by that Gigantic game is coming backif you wanted to play that. Mobia
is going to be available on everythingexcept for Switch. The Rampage Edition.

(01:34:10):
A cool indie game called Turn ofthe Sun is coming to PC as well,
the RPG Broken Roads. It's comingon the tenth. So I'm surprised
the game that you're not like kindof interested in House Flipper two. It's
coming to consoles. I didn't playHustler too well, I didn't get it
on Steam or you know, sooh okay, I thought we play it,

(01:34:31):
but you are you know, Adamor whatever. But yeah, yeah,
they're also releasing on that same daythat Fallout Special Anthology Edition on PC,
which is like all the Fallout Yeah, they've done them before, but
they bundled in Fallout seventy six oryou know, like now probably just give
you some currency or something like that. Yeah, it's still cool that it's

(01:34:54):
coming with all the stuff. Yeah, it's not a lot of big stuff
that's coming. It's a smaller games. So yeah, so Mungo Blade is
coming out. I love that gameon Xbox. If if you get a
chance to play it on PS orNintendo and you like phishing, this game's
really good. Ha's a lot.If you liked Dredge, it has some

(01:35:17):
vibes of Dredge as well, withthe not fishing at night kind of thing
and all that. So definitely wantto check out if you If you like
Dredge and you haven't played the Xboxor PC yet for Lungo Blay you can,
you can play it on on that. All right, Well that's gonna
be it for the episode this week. Hopefully all of y'all in you know

(01:35:40):
the watch live or are gonna listenlater? Watch later? Do you appreciate
y'all for that hit light? Subscribeall those things to the channel, and
if you listen on pause, goreview on whatever podcatcher you use. That
helps us a lot, So wecontinue to go up in the listeners there
and we'll be back next week.I can want more video games until then,

It’s 1996 in rural North Carolina, and an oddball crew makes history when they pull off America’s third largest cash heist. But it’s all downhill from there. Join host Johnny Knoxville as he unspools a wild and woolly tale about a group of regular ‘ol folks who risked it all for a chance at a better life. CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist answers the question: what would you do with 17.3 million dollars? The answer includes diamond rings, mansions, velvet Elvis paintings, plus a run for the border, murder-for-hire-plots, and FBI busts.
