It feels like deja vu has hit all over again, with Microsoft announcing yet another price increase on Xbox consoles. Is it really all about macroeconomic conditions? Should we be concerned about what the next-gen Xbox console will actually become? Do Sean and Marc have concerns that there could even be one at this rate? And why haven't Microsoft revealed the price of the ROG Xbox handhelds yet, with less than a month to go now before they go on sale? At least there's some positive news about Xbox Game Pass for once, maybe?

On the Sony side of things, Tencent has fired back that Horizon devs at one point expressed concerns about the game being very similar to another gaming series. Are they right? Or is Tencent just grasping at straws? How hyped or not hyped are we for Ghost of Yotei as we inch ever closer to its release? And will we ever get that Bloodborne remake?

Plus, an instant reaction to the first trailer to Palworld Devs new game, Palfarm. Borderlands has sold well despite all the performance controversy. Sean gives his thoughts on the Six One Indie Showcase, Marc has been playing the Assassin's Creed Shadows DLC, is he excited about more RPG mechanics in a potential AC Black Flag Remake? What are Marc's Metal Gear games he'd like to see remade? All this and more on this edition of Video Games 2 the MAX.

Speaker 1 (00:13):
You are listening to Video Games to the Max. Hello,
and welcome is another edition of Video Games to the Max.
I am your host, Sean. You remer here with me
as usual, mister Mark Horson, And well we have some
It feels like we're in deja vu land again talking

(00:33):
about console prices increasing, particularly Xbox, as if they didn't
do this a few months ago. Here we are again
economic conditions. Is that really what it's about? Or is
there something else going on? Maybe some nice news about
game pass for ones and marksen playing that Assassin's Screen

(00:53):
Shadows DLC. I've played a little bit of that Trails
of the Sky first chapped, what else has been a
Borderlands for is doing well despite all the PC controversy.
And we'll get into some Sony stuff as well. Did

(01:13):
Tenset actually give a decent reason as to their whole
deal with the Lights of Mortrum or they just grasping
at offs. We'll get into all that stuff and more
right after this. All right, well other things for you
in this week?

Speaker 2 (01:33):
Pretty all right?

Speaker 1 (01:34):
How about you do anything?

Speaker 3 (01:35):
Or I went to a game store on Saturday and
actually saw anal friend there, which is kind of surprisingly cool.

Speaker 1 (01:42):
That's always good to communicate old friend.

Speaker 2 (01:44):
An old high school friend there.

Speaker 1 (01:47):
Yeah, buy anything at the game store or like.

Speaker 2 (01:51):
A TwixT bar. They have a two things I.

Speaker 3 (01:53):
Wanted, but ah'd go back there, Like we don't have
more money, Like.

Speaker 2 (01:58):
The next month few months are not going to be
kind to my wallet.

Speaker 1 (02:02):
Yeah, this is us. We'll talk about that. This week
starts the wow I mean sort of last week, but
this week really starts the oh my god review season
or get your wallet ready season, because there is a
ton of things.

Speaker 3 (02:20):
I mean, Pat December, I'm not even caring about that.
It's more like there's a few conventions I want to
go to and then like Directro Game Convention in like November,
so what it's all.

Speaker 1 (02:32):
Game gaming adjacent So that's all good too, you know, Yeah, yeah,
not much for me. I want to go hopefully, what's hoping?
I could just get free On put into my cars
air conditioner, only to find out that it did indeed
have a leak, and then we have to get a

(02:53):
whole like hose replaced where coming from. So it's like
then basically I spent one hundred dollars on free On
to find out that there's a leak, then to probably
have to put another one hundred dollars or free on afterwards.

Speaker 3 (03:08):
I had that problem with my not air conditioning, but
the power stream pump, like it'll start, it'll just leak
like I respen. So after like four months of driving,
like Mike, when I make a turn, my car wion't
like grown. And then I was like, okay, now I
can tell it's hungary again, so I got to dump
more fluid into it.

Speaker 1 (03:28):
Yeah, it's just if it was something where like I
did that with it, I just I have a I
get scared now when you do that kind of stuff,
because I did that with the coolant in that same
car a few years ago and then wound up having
to get the whole freaking motor replaced, and luckily was

(03:48):
it was under warranty or I would have basically had
a new car because they did like ten thousand dollars
worth of stuff to it and I only paid like
four hundred dollars. Yeah, so after that, I'm just like,
anytime something's leaking, I'm just like I'm not playing around
with that, Like, let's get this fixed. Scene even though

(04:09):
I know that it'll drive fine, just okay, I just
had to put the windows down. But the problem is
that here in Miami it rains all the time, So
essentially you're just like, either I'm gonna roll with the
windows down and get rained on all the time while
I'm going wherever it is, or I have to drive
with the windows up and freaking in asana. So no,

(04:30):
not great either way. But yeah, enough of that, just
once again head to Western Cowboys, get whooked by the
Bears off anything, and who knows what's gonna happen the
rest of the season with the Packers up next and
Old you know, a certain pass rusher that they decided
not to sign now gets to go play the old team,

(04:51):
So that's gonna be a interesting Sunday night game. It's
either gonna be another blowout or who knows. But uh yeah,
that's it for me on that front. Let's actually get
to the gaming front and talk about some games they've
been playing here, as we usually does. Mark even playing

(05:12):
that Assassin's Screech Shadows.

Speaker 3 (05:15):
Yeah, yep, that's what that's called a LOGI yep, Okay, yeah,
I played and made it.

Speaker 2 (05:24):
It took me like three days.

Speaker 1 (05:28):
How much time do you think it is? Like, how
long do you think it.

Speaker 3 (05:30):
Is I'd say probably if you want to do everything,
pay eight to ten hours, you can kind of like
decent well maybe like seven to ten. But I mean
it's not like just one mission and that's it. Like
it's like get a new land mass, even though it's
kind of small and like a few little tips on

(05:51):
the objective board to like, you know, go hunting on
this thing. These guys one of them like large because
one of them is like, go hunt on these I
think it's like fourteen captains. You know, they're kind of
like roaming the landscape occasionally do shomping the map, but
a lot of it's like, oh, if you cause enough trouble,
when will just spawn near you.

Speaker 2 (06:12):
It's like all right, cool.

Speaker 1 (06:15):
So I mean this is a free DLC, right, So
I mean like.

Speaker 3 (06:18):
Getting it's free tech Well, it's free if you pre
ordered the game, like if you bought the game. Now
I think you have to pay for it. But I
think it was like their apology because the game keept
getting delayed.

Speaker 1 (06:31):
Yeah, all characters are just one.

Speaker 2 (06:34):
You can play both.

Speaker 3 (06:36):
The crux of it and this is kind of a
minor spoiler, but like the whole basis of it is
you rescue Naway's mom who you thought was like dead,
but she's actually alive and has been imprisoned in this
island for they don't really say how long, but like
ten years or ten to fifteen years or whatever. So yeah,
you're racing her. Uh, there's not a ton of like

(07:00):
you'd expect there to be a big heartwarming reunion scene
and no, like like they reunite and it's just kind
of like very kind of business like or it's not
like emotional or anything, which is kind of strange.

Speaker 1 (07:18):
Yeah, did you like it overall?

Speaker 2 (07:23):
Yeah, it's okay.

Speaker 3 (07:25):
I mean, I the way I built my character, especially now,
why she's like she's basically unkillable unless I'm like really
playing sloppily where like she can dodge attacks like automatically,
and then I just like I use this one move
where she kind of darts in attacks and darts back
out and it also causes slow motion to ockr So

(07:47):
I'm like laying waste to people. The problem with the DLC,
at least in the PC is a crash for me
two times, and both times were like critical story emissions,
and both times were like right after big battle, so that.

Speaker 1 (08:01):
Sucked, Like you to go back too far.

Speaker 3 (08:07):
Well, it basically restarted the battle or you know, we
restarted the mission because it it doesn't save during mid
like mid mission or like like rarely. So like the
last big battle you play is Yaske and you have
to like go through a pretty large base of guys.
And I'm not like it's not like four or five guys.
I'm talking like thirty thirty five. Wow, that's not fun

(08:31):
the first time and the second time after the game
crash went to open a goddamn door and the uh
I went from like the game but like the cinematic
and that's when it crashes.

Speaker 2 (08:41):
Yeah, the second time, it's really not fun.

Speaker 3 (08:44):
Oh, I got I got better at like cheesing some
of the some of the enemies, because like some of
them are like the bigger enemies or like not just Peon's.

Speaker 2 (08:53):
Like yeah, it's oh.

Speaker 3 (08:55):
Well, I know where I know where there are these
three exploding uh vases, So I just lure them over
here and detonate one of them and hopefully they go down.

Speaker 1 (09:07):
That's always Joe, I mean does it? So? I mean,
for the most part, it feels like it was worth
it to spend that.

Speaker 2 (09:18):
Spend that free money. Absolutely so yeah, it was fine. Oh.

Speaker 3 (09:22):
The other funny thing, so the crux of the game,
All the Sazzes of Cuccatto, is like one of the
big missions is you're trying to like reget what they
call the regalia, and it is like these three.

Speaker 2 (09:39):
Items in the game. Ah that like.

Speaker 3 (09:43):
They placed this a crazy critical importance on Like it's like, oh,
these are the Emperor's items, and they left them to
the assassins. With the assassins, you know, they got the
templars took them and all this other crap. One of
them I think you already still had, I want to say.
And one of them is the jewel, and that's like

(10:05):
the main game one, like that's when you're trying to
like get back in the main game. And the third
one is a sword, and that's the when you're getting
back in this DLC. So it's like, oh, the templar
leader on this Isla took the sword or she got
the sword, and you're trying to get it back from her.
And you finally get back all three items, which you

(10:25):
don't even see what they are. They're always in like boxes,
which is like bizarre, and then you just get back
to the Emperor and it's like what a letdown, Like
it's all those it doesn't always work for this bullshit,
like at least in like prior games, like they would
be these like cool ornate like past civilization items like

(10:50):
the like the eye of or the Apple of Eden
or you know, weird shit like that. But mister like
ups creates. Basically, it's like I would a letdown, like
yeah that sounds that gives further credence to like I
don't know if we to talk about it about the
Assassin's feed for.

Speaker 1 (11:10):
Yeah ws on the list here, Yeah you want, no.

Speaker 2 (11:14):
We can. We'll talk about it later.

Speaker 3 (11:15):
But like they are really getting rid of like the
whole past civilization like storyline and all the cool items
like all that flavor stuff, uh, which sucks. I mean,
I guess it's good for you ends because he didn't
like that stuff anyway. But like, like I watched a
video of a guy talking about it and he's like, oh,
there are two types of Assassin's Creed fans, like the

(11:38):
ones who just want the historical drama and the ones
that like actually like the present day storyline. And I'm
I guess I'm part of the latter one. But I
mean apparently it'll be sucked asn't anymore so.

Speaker 1 (11:53):
And not to mention the hating, it seems like you
stuff cares us and less about the present day stuff.

Speaker 3 (11:58):
Oh yeah, these past two games it has been in
at all. The only present new stuff in Shadows is
relegated to like the life service part where you unlock
like text like uh text memos or like flavor text.
They're not even like voiced. It's just like reading this
like log file and that's it, and it's like this

(12:23):
this took someone like three minutes to write and is
not intactful at all.

Speaker 1 (12:27):
So great, Yeah, what's up Cube?

Speaker 2 (12:34):
But yeah, I give them playing much.

Speaker 1 (12:38):
No uh yeah, with all the stuff going on, and
then every time I feel like I'm gonna get to
play stuff, it just it feels like stuff like this year,
you know, like today I thought, oh my, you know,
maybe kind of slow, I get to play a little
bit more Trails and nope, so I haven't actually even

(13:02):
finished the cause my idea was, Okay, you know, I'm
we're in that that time right now where it's like
a lot of games are coming, a lot of things
that I know I want to play, and obviously, uh,
you know, Outer Haven has a lot of people that
are above me in the pecking line. They've been doing
a lot more and they're gonna get all those games

(13:23):
that I want as well. You know, so go over
to UH to mister Adam to ask him about, you know,
codes for things, and you know, we don't know either way.
We never usually get anything before like the day of
So it's like one of those where like I'm having
a start going, Okay, I'm gonna have to budget for
what do I know I really really want and what's

(13:45):
on the like okay maybes right? Yeah, so like you know,
Haiti Sue and uh Tactics Freemaster and did Jamon game.

Speaker 2 (13:57):
I gotta I gotta greg for a code for Hades
two by the way.

Speaker 1 (14:02):
Yeah, and then uh you know also Trail and Trails
on this guy first chapter with all the hype around it,
and it's it's a game I've always wanted to play.
I own all three of those games on PC. It's
just like one of those foks. Like when they announced
the remake, I said, I gotta play it like this,
you know, and then they came out with that demo

(14:23):
not too long ago. I didn't I kind of turned
it on and I got through. There's a long intro
period where it's just a bunch of cutscenes and like
kind of introducing the characters in JRG.

Speaker 2 (14:36):
That's just crazy talk.

Speaker 1 (14:38):
But I mean this one feels extra long, and that's
kind of like Trails is kind of almost on the
border with like Xeno Blade Zeno Zaga of like you're
only got a lot of story stuff here, you know.
So I never got past that, and then I didn't
know that the demo does has like a save function,
but you have to get to pass get part yeah,

(15:02):
able to save, So I lost that, so I had
to restart again, and I basically got to the part
where they finally are you They get through the first
like training part where you basically essentially go to the
first like tutorial mission or whatever, and that's kind of
as far as I got. And I know that apparently
this demo is lengthy, so I haven't even gotten past it,
and I was like, Okay, if I end up enjoined

(15:24):
the demo, I might really think about, Okay, I might
pick this one up as well, because I want to support.
We know that they're making the second game, but still,
you know, supporting helps out and and you know, want
to show that when possible. But it's also sixty bucks
in a realm where you're like punching pennies for how

(15:46):
many other games are all coming around at the same time.
So it's a lot, but I enjoyed it for the
most part as Stelle. I mean, look, this game is
super anime. So if you're one of the people that
you don't really like a bunch of anime and your
j RPG, this is probably not the series for you, right,

(16:10):
But I mean it has an incredible narrative from everything
I've ever heard about it. All all my friends that
you know are in the JERRPG Phantom that love it,
they'd always say, oh man, you should start that. I
was like, good god, where do you start out of
the like twenty million games that there are.

Speaker 2 (16:29):
And then.

Speaker 1 (16:31):
When they finally come out with this, it's like, Okay,
this is the starting point, right for everybody? So why not?
And yeah, Stelle's immediately a bundle of you know, spunkiness
that you gotta love. And I love the fact that
Joshua was kind of like her counterpoint, essentially kind of
poke in front of her and stuff, so that you know,

(16:53):
comes off really well at first, and then obviously it
helps that look the original was like a PSP game essentially,
and having these sprites all look amazing. It's all done
in three D. Now they all looks great. You can
do the like moving around action RPG style, or you
can actually press the button and turn it into like

(17:13):
turn based if you want. So. I love the fact
that you kind of have both options. For those of
you that like either one, you essentially have to kind
of go in like command mode or whatever to do
the It's not full on like a fom Fanty seven
remake or whatever. It's more of like a Okay, once
you press the button to go at a turn base,
you're going to be in turn base now. But it's

(17:38):
still like fun because there's like different arts and different
things to do. I assume there might be more that
gets added on essentially later, maybe like I don't know
if there's team up attacks or whatnot, But yeah, I
enjoyed it. There's a lot to kind of like go
around the town and talk to people and whatnot, so,

(18:01):
you know, but just to give me an idea, when
they introduce your teacher character, the first thing they do
is have a close up shot of her boobs. So
if you kind of want to know the idea, yeah,
exactly where you kind of gonna know what you're getting
into here. They don't that. That's pretty much that if

(18:22):
you're one of those, Look, I will say again, it's
just kind of like Examile Blade too or whatever. You
either have to decide I want to get past that
and enjoy what the game is, or if that's too
much for you and you can't, then you know, maybe
wait for it to go on sale or whatnot. But
just kind of figured if you hadn't played the demo

(18:44):
or or anything like that, just could keep on an
idea that might be interested, Like it's that kind of
anime arapy. So but look, I like my anime. I
know what's uh, what's coming with that? And for all
the look you can kind of just kind of like
hand and wave that stuff and just kind of go
on and and get get into like the gaming part

(19:06):
that that's the enjoyable stuff. So I'll see once we
get to like, so, SI, haven't you gotten past the demo?
I'm probably gonna wait until we get the final decision
on if if we're gonna get if I'm getting codes
for some of these games or not, and then kind
of go back and be like, Okay, I might end
up buying this, so we'll see. I'm really really hoping

(19:28):
for Tactics remaster. That's the one I'm I'm like super
excited about that hopefully comes in. But if not, Nerd,
we'll we'll be showing my support being a fill Fantasy
nerd and all that stuff. But all right, that's it
for us playing games here right short this week? So

(19:53):
oh yeah, are you gonna you get in that day
one or.

Speaker 3 (19:56):
Yeah, I already got it already on my PSI it's
gonna the timer.

Speaker 1 (20:01):
Oh sweet. Yeah. Lots of good reviews. So that's another
one that's kind of like I'm not doing what I
did with Sound Hill too, where I got into the
high or whatever and I and then I bought it
and then I played like no, no, I did like it.
It's just that other games came and and you know

(20:25):
that that season tightens up so much that it's like
there's always so many games you can play before you
get to that final day where it's like, okay, we
just got to go ahead and just do this.

Speaker 2 (20:34):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (20:35):
Top twenty five in Game of the year stuff, and
you can't keep the laying how to play everything, So
I just don't want to run into that, like you know,
if the space clears down the line, definitely, uh, probably
gonna be on my list for sure, because I like,
I like the setting, I like all the the the
reviews that I have seen look really good for it.

(20:57):
Heard the combats not great, but I mean, I guess
it is Saln Hills.

Speaker 3 (21:02):
I've already kind of really easy because like the dodge
mechanics that kind of breaks the game.

Speaker 1 (21:07):
But apparently it's not like nowhere near as satisfying as
like Siln Hill two remake or so.

Speaker 2 (21:12):
I don't like I don't make the comment in that game,
so it might actually be good for me. That's true.

Speaker 1 (21:18):
But all right, let's go ahead and talk about some
new stuff. Let's let's talk about a few things involving
game Pass and then we'll get into the bad news here. Yeah.
So there it did reveal the second half of twenty
twenty five for game Pass. Uh, some things come into

(21:43):
game Pass Standard that that hadn't been on there before,
like called You Do Mine War for three for the
King two Overthrown Roadcraft is already available deep Rock Galactic
Survivor has really good reviews. That's out there right now
on all versions of game Pass, So if you've been

(22:04):
kind of looking into that, go check that out. Frost
Punk two is now available on console and cloud because
it finally came the series and PS five. So if
you were not playing it on PC because your PC
can't run it, or you just rather play it on console,
there it is. I know you weren't a big fan
of the first Pross bunk, so.

Speaker 2 (22:25):
Yeah, I don't.

Speaker 3 (22:25):
I mean, I understand what people would like about it,
but I don't think it was a fun game.

Speaker 1 (22:31):
Yeah, fair enough on that. Hades is coming is already
out there on game Pass once again. It was on
game Pass previously. But hey, this is one of those
times that good idea, right haities too about to come out?
Anybody that, I mean, you really should have bought the

(22:51):
game by now. It goes on sale constantly for like
ten bucks. But you know, hey, if you didn't know
that there was a Hades one and you've seen all
the hype for Hades too, I guess now is your
chance go play it on game Pass. And the Legend
two is a day one strategy game that's PC only.

Speaker 2 (23:13):
I think the first one liked it.

Speaker 1 (23:16):
Like ten years after the fact. Here comes the second game.
Sworn is getting a lot of hype for being one
of those like one to four co op games. That's
it's kind of like a diabolo like Ish that's out
tomorrow or today as we speak. Happy birthday to my

(23:38):
brother also on his birthday is on September twenty third,
So yeah, and Pepa pig Well Adventures comes back to
game Pass after people were actually upset that game left
game Pass. It's amazing how people actually play this game
on games that's coming on to the very twenty fifth
Visions of Man Out, which Yo, if you haven't played

(23:59):
this game, give it a whirl for sure. If you're
a man A fan, owe it to yourself. Check this
out on game Pass. It's a really fun game. It's
not only long for a jerichy g like you know,
twenty five thirty hours. It's definitely worth checking out. Low
Across and the Guardians of Light returns to game Pass
on September thirtieth, and then Soapa Tale of the Stolen Potato,

(24:24):
it's like a narrative game is coming on October seventh
to everything. Do be aware that we're gonna have Tokyo
Game Show in a couple of days here, so there
might be some games that they show off at that event,
including there's one game that they have like pencil in

(24:47):
into one area by itself. A lot of rumors going
around that that's gonna be for the Horizon six because
it's set in Japan. We'll see, but I wouldn't be
surprised that they have a game Pass straw during that
Tokyo Game Show showcasing that they're going to do early
in the morning on the twenty fifth, So be aware

(25:08):
for that that there might be a little bit more
coming for this month than Xbox game Pass. Also, just
because you know we came off I think was it
last week we talked about the whole or maybe in
two weeks ago the effective game Pass on devs and
why we've seen the discussion between Pete Hines and Shannon

(25:34):
Loftus and Sean Leyden about game Pass and what it
does to devs and how it creates like a slave culture.
Chris Charlow, who's the one that heads up like the
ID at Xbox, so I don't know if he only
means the idea at Xbox or this is all of

(25:55):
the deals that have been signed this year, so this
may not include like the third party stuff, but as
far as indies, we could probably vouch if this is
correct because he heads up that side of things. According
to christ Charla, there's been one hundred and fifty partners
that have signed deals this year. Obviously some of those

(26:19):
games may not come out till next year or whatever,
but they were signed this year. They signed over fifty
companies last year to their first game Pass deals, and
now they have one hundred and fifty signed deals between
last year and this year, and it's the largest investment
in game Pass to date. So people that were worried about,

(26:40):
oh man, they're investing less than it, they're definitely investing
more and maybe not so much in the you know,
I'm not a Triple A titles, but they're definitely doing
it with I guess the Breath of titles, with all
of the indies stuff whatnot. So that's good to hear
at least that, you know, as we get into the

(27:01):
next topic with how much it would cost now for
somebody to go and buy an Xbox console if you
have game Pass in another form, you're gonna get to
enjoy a lot of games, it seems like. So that's good,
but you know, it all can't be good for Microsoft

(27:23):
because they constantly have to step on rakes and step
on rakes and step on rakesh. And they do it
here again seemingly for like no reason, because they were
the first ones a few months ago to do the
whole thing about we're raising prices because of market conditions

(27:46):
and the tariffs, and they couldn't say tariffs obviously, because
you know, you can't mention the dude's name. Yeah, they
can't mention the actual reason because you know, Sata Nadella
and that dude the administration. Are they their buddies, you know,

(28:07):
So it makes sense, But once again, it's the same deal,
especially when you're coming off of Okay, you raised console prices,
you tried to raise your game prices, and then you
circle back on that because people were complaining, and then
also not only people were complaining, but you know, you

(28:29):
probably weren't getting a lot of pre orders for the
outer worlds too, with it being billion dollars, so you know,
to kind of mitigate that a bit and see and
show that you're doing things of good faith. I guess,
you know, from a pr perspective, then you do this,
which is if you already thought that the Xbox consoles

(28:53):
were ridiculously priced, now I think it's like pretty much,
I don't know who the heck is going and buying
a console today. Albeit it is only in the US
these console price increases, but it's still just like, yo,

(29:18):
like ridiculous, man, ridiculous. Uh.

Speaker 3 (29:22):
You and I are in the position that if we
wanted to xpic console, you head to Mexico and I
head to Canada by the cheaper.

Speaker 1 (29:32):
I guess. But it's just like, you know, so let's
let's actually go through what these increases are here really quick.
It's just when I saw this, I was like, I
just can't. I can't believe it.

Speaker 2 (29:50):
Man.

Speaker 1 (29:51):
So, Xbox Series S, the five hundred and twelve gigabyte version,
the one that is supposed to be the entry level console,
is three hundred and ninety nine dollars four hundred bucks
now for your Xbox Series S five twelve gigabytes. They

(30:13):
had already bumped it up to three seventy nine with
the last increase, and it originally was three hundred dollars. Okay,
Now you go to the Xbox Series S. One terabyte
is four hundred and fifty dollars. It was four to

(30:33):
twenty nine and it launched for three point fifty, so
we've already doubled up twice.

Speaker 2 (30:42):
Now.

Speaker 1 (30:42):
Both of these consoles now cost one hundred more dollars
and they cost a launch. The Xbox Series X digital
that doesn't have a disk drive, cost six hundred dollars.
It was five nine before for the first price in
went up fifty dollars. The series the two series USS

(31:03):
went up twenty bucks, which isn't too bad whatever, but
still one hundred dollars overall. It's still ridiculous. Now. The
Xbox Series X, the one that I have behind my
TV right now that has a disk drive, it was
five hundred dollars at launch. It was six hundred dollars

(31:25):
after the first price increase. Now it is six hundred
and fifty dollars for a one terrorbyte Xbox Series X
a five year old console. And if for some reason
you want to upgrade to two terrorbytes for this same console,

(31:46):
which you don't need, by the way, you were paying
a kopping eight hundred dollars eight hundred that is fifty
more the PS five Pro after the price increase. It
was seven twenty nine after the first price increase. It

(32:09):
was six hundred dollars at launch, so it has gone
up a total of two hundred dollars since it since launch. Ridiculous,
absolutely ridiculous. Like, listen, we could talk about tariffs, so
we could talk about macroeconomics, so we could talk about

(32:31):
market conditions and whatever. But it is clear Xbox doesn't
give a flying flip if you buy these consoles or not,
because you're not even pretending to try to keep close
to whatever Sony did after their price increase. And Sony
also knocked off some of the storage so they wouldn't

(32:52):
have to set the price increases again in Europe and
Macsoft's like, screw it, you guys are just paying more.

Speaker 3 (33:03):
Even I mean even if you compared like the the
Galaxy Black Xbox eight hundred dollar one with like the
PS five Pro, it's like who, like a one's fifty
dollars more and is on much older technology, Like yeah,
and you get more storage, but like that doesn't offset

(33:23):
the PS five Pro at all. Like you can get it,
you can get you can probably find a one terabyte
SSD and shove it into PS five Pro and then
you'd have like not two terabytes, but game more close enough.
But like you're saying, I mean I talked about this
when I when I told you about it a few
days ago, like Xbox One is gonna have fucking you know,

(33:47):
game pass on.

Speaker 2 (33:48):
A fridge fridge screen eventually. So they don't care, no, And.

Speaker 1 (33:52):
They said it. They said it in the the press release,
which kind of me. They did say it also in
the original prices as well. It's just it kind of
stood out more this time where they're like, oh, we're
going to continue to find different ways for you to
play our games on other screens. So they're basically telling

(34:13):
you you don't need to buy this console. Don't buy it,
Please don't buy it. Just play it on something else.
Save you some money, get a laptop, play on your phone,
play it on the tablet, play it on anything that's
not our console, because we're not going to try to
make these things competitive. It's five year old, and it's

(34:34):
still again it's just out. It's still blows my mind
that people that normally at this point in the Conflict generation,
you're looking at price cuts and anybody that waited. You
have now been screwed. You pay more instead of less.

Speaker 3 (34:53):
It's correct. That's why I bought a switch to like
and Launch. I mean, you wanted one just because you're
a Nintendo fan. I kind of am, but I'm not
like super obsessed with that or anymore.

Speaker 1 (35:03):
Well, I also thought that would we would have more
switch to games at this point, you know, we wouldn't
have the the I don't know what it is, whether
you know it's Nintendo themselves not providing dev kits, people
not having not being able to afford them, or whatever
it is, but I thought that very close to launch,
almost any game that was worth its salt would have

(35:27):
had a switch to edition very close by now. And
then it's like the fact that we are still getting
so many Switch one editions it's crazy. So it just
makes me to where it's like Trails in the Sky
first chapter and Tactics Freemaster the first two where I'm

(35:47):
just like, Okay, I might really consider it for switch
to because they're actually switched to versions and they should
look really good or whatever. But it's like, you know,
for me right now, I'm not buying a switch one
version if I don't have to, Yeah, because they're no.

Speaker 3 (36:06):
I was gonna say, is like I bought a switch
too because I knew like never gonna go down on price,
and especially like Mario.

Speaker 1 (36:15):
Oh you wait, man, I bet that after the holiday
season that thing's going up in price. I will be
shocked if the switch shoot does not go up in
price by the time we get to like February, because
you know, it's like if you raised the process to
switch one, why would you not do that for the

(36:37):
console that you know people will buy, because there's games
that you know would have come out during the holiday
season that people will want to pick up if they
didn't pick up the switch to during the holidays already,
not too much in games that they have coming out
during that time period of the year already, like February,
you know, January, February, they've already announced games at that

(36:58):
director we talked about last week. So still, look, this
is terrible. There's no way around that. It's a bad
look for Microsoft. It's a company that could if they
wanted to eat some of this costs. But it's if
you're a Microsoft also, it's like nobody's buying your console anyway,

(37:20):
so why not sell it at whatever it is that
you're you were subsidizing it at and if anybody does
happen to spend the money, oh it's a sale. You
didn't think you were going to get anyway, So uh,
you know, get rid of the excess. And I don't
know how much they're going to be restocking or whatever,
but it's obvious that they are ready to move on.

(37:44):
They are ready to go into whatever next gen. Is
very interesting that are they going to subsidize anything on
these rog ally XPO handhelds that we still don't know
the price too, and we're less than a month away

(38:05):
from when they're supposed to launch on October sixteenth, and
all we have is leaks of Oh it's supposed to
be five fifty and nine hundred. There was some talk
from some folks that you know, I reported on that
they might lower it to five hundred and eight hundred,
but I don't know. I think that will tell you

(38:28):
a lot if they do subsidize anything, because it'll tell
you what they want you to focus on. They want
to be the entry, They want to be the heads
of the pack when it comes to the handhelds, whether
it's you buying their handheld or you buying a handheld
that has their their new OS on it. They they
want to be the the the you know, heads of

(38:54):
the market there along with the Valve and the steam
Deck and you know, switch to is kind of in
its own category because it's not a PC handheld, but
it is a you know, hybrid handheld or whatever. So yeah,
it's just it kind of it screams that Microsoft is
ready to move on. Uh, they know that they've they've

(39:15):
lost here, but it does make me worried about next hit,
Like is seven hundred dollars gonna be the entry level
price for anything? Like are you going to subsidize anything?
Are you even gonna have us six hundred dollars console?
I mean, I mean there's rumors that Sony's doing that. Well,

(39:40):
our entry level is gonna be the handheld that docks
like a switch, which you know that means that that's
gonna have you know, less graphical power, but you're exchanging
that for portability and all that kind of stuff. With Microsoft,
you know, we don't know what's going on with if
they're still doing their own handheld or not.

Speaker 3 (39:59):
Or.

Speaker 1 (40:01):
Like what do you think about what they're doing? Like
are they gonna have next Gen at all.

Speaker 3 (40:09):
Well, yeah, because Sarah bon said they would, but that
was like a few months ago. See the we're partner
with MD and they're gonna power ARNI.

Speaker 1 (40:18):
Right, but AMD also means those log y spots allies, right,
like you could you could potentially have a third party
come and do your console and you're just doing the software, right,
You're just doing the Xbox part of it.

Speaker 3 (40:34):
I don't think, uh so, I think they I think
they will make it a new console. I still think,
like I really think they're gonna try to wait until
twenty twenty seven, maybe even twenty twenty eight, like both
companies will, because they're probably hoping and praying that like

(40:56):
you get a different change in administration and day one
it'll be like all right, all that terrif bullshit is over,
Like yeah, ah, but yeah, this is I mean, this
is kind of a tacit admission that like they're they've
given up on consoles, but they haven't given up. It's

(41:19):
not like all these things are flying off the shelves
and you know, we can't keep up in stock. It's
like no, like this I means faced the saying like yeah,
don't buy it, and yeah, I think I don't think
they're gonna make a new I don't think they'll ever
make a handheld, Like they'll always just like license it
or you know, partner with someone. But I think the

(41:41):
days have been making making shit anymore after especially like
the Zoom, is long gone.

Speaker 1 (41:51):
Yeah, I mean, I definitely I agree with you in
that there's part of me, man that really feels like
they might try to pull an okie dog and just say, hey,
I know we said that we were gonna make our hardware,
but due to market conditions, we've just it's become impossible

(42:15):
for us to do. We legitimately can't make these consoles
in America. We can't move them to Vietnam or another country.
It has to be done in China, and China has
one of some of the worst tariffs, and I'm sorry,
but we can't at this time. It is not in

(42:36):
our best interest to do these. And then they'll announce
that somebody else is doing the console right, and they're
just gonna What they will do is they'll be like, oh,
but we're not gonna do it like the handheld. We're
gonna have like an emulator that's gonna be able to
make it to where all of your Xbox games will work,

(42:58):
and then they will change an it so that going
forward you won't have this problem. You know, almost all
the games that are coming out now or our Xbox
play anywhere, so you'll keep building that library or whatever.
And eventually what they're going to try to sell you
on is that, oh, you're in our ecosystem. You bought
all these games in our ecosystem. You can play them

(43:19):
however you want, on whatever the heck you want. You say,
we'll go over there, and that'll be the proposition, right,
That'll be the way that they they gets you to
buy whatever it is, whether it's a handle, whether it's
a PC that they slap the Xbox logo on, whether
it's a uh, you know it's it's gonna be a

(43:40):
weird it's an interesting weird time, like with the way
Nintendo and Sony are just steadfast and hey, this is
our console. We're doing stuff for our console. Yes, Sony
kind of opened the pathway with Hell Diverge two of
could they bring other stuff up to Xbox in the future. Maybe, right,

(44:04):
But it's not gonna be day one. It's not gonna
be year one. So you're gonna be just sitting there
stuck waiting, and yeah, who knows. I mean, there's supposed
to gonna be a stay to play this week. I
assume it's going to be like before TGS probably, so

(44:24):
I wouldn't be surprised if it's like the twenty fourth
or well.

Speaker 3 (44:29):
Also, like back to the price thing for a second.
I mean we were talking about this the last week
with that Xbox but not the Xbox but the new
uh handheld rod thing. Yeah, but like the thirteen hundred
dollars price tag is nuts. You can get like a
good gaming laptop for that, like a decent one at
least like three hundred dollars. You get a decent gaming PC.

(44:50):
I mean it wouldn't be like the laptop, it wouldn't
be that form factor. But if you're going to TV,
who cares, you know.

Speaker 1 (44:57):
I mean that's the thing too. Like at some at
some point, like if you make these whatever, they're going
to be right the Xbox PC, that's uh, you call
it a console because you can put it in your
TV or whatever, and you make them like, oh, the
the cheapest ones one thousand dollars, Like I don't know, man,
you could probably get one that has better specs.

Speaker 3 (45:21):
At least comparable ones, and then you can always upgrade
the PC. You can't upgrade the Xbox.

Speaker 1 (45:25):
So yeah, and that that's gonna be interesting. Like, look,
they've definitely there was an article out that Satia Nondela
in Wisconsin they're making like the first of what is
going to be many essentially like AI hubs, and that's
going to connect to all the cloud servers that they

(45:47):
already have and all that stuff. So they are once
again investing in AI. AI is going to be their thing.
So you know, that's their whole deal between marketing conditions
and their investments are somewhere else and need to recoup
some of that investment with the console. You know, we
know those consoles are not selling, so to them, what's

(46:07):
the point of subsidizing any longer. We'll see if that
proves to be anything. They have up the cloud functionality
a lot, like the cloud seems to work even better
now than it used to. So that's like the one
positive out of this whole thing is that like they've
really between the stream your games thing, that whole like

(46:33):
the Xbox app is essays to like your whole your
entire library is now available on that thing, even though
it still loads seam so it's like it's just a
launcher for a launcher, So I don't know, kind of
pointless for me. But you know, they did do like

(46:54):
a cross progression now apparently where you can if you
load your Xbox schemes like in the app, it will
take your like Steam save and load it through there
or whatever. Which that's interesting. Yeah, like if somehow they
get to all play nice or whatever by the time
we get to twenty twenty seven, twenty twenty eight, whatever,

(47:18):
we'll see if perhaps Microsoft winds up being right in
that way. But for the time being, it's just further
and further, like making you wonder if at one point
do they just go up, there's no console happening here.
We are fully third party. We're not making farre anymore.

Speaker 2 (47:43):
That's what I've been saying.

Speaker 1 (47:44):
I mean, yeah, no, it's just like it just worries
me because it's just like, man, I never thought that
it was going to get to the point where I
would really be choosing, you know, okay, four or five
hundred dollars three to three five hundred dollars for a
console whatever, six hundred okay, when we're getting into the

(48:04):
seven hundreds, eight hundreds, nine hundreds, is like, is it
worth it really to get this console at that point?
And do you want to because you don't know if
Xbox is real they gonna Xbox and Microsoft are they
gonna support it? You know? Uh? Are you gonna have
to wonder if like halfway into the next gen? Uh,

(48:26):
you know, depending on what. That's why I think that
they're definitely just this is gonna be a PC because
it's like they don't want to have to be doing
this proprietary Xbox thing and then nobody buys it anyway,
and you know, at least you could still use the
PC part of it whatnot. But that's uh, that's enough

(48:48):
on that. We still got a lot of time. Just
the moral of the story here is don't buy an Xbox.

Speaker 3 (48:57):
Box.

Speaker 1 (48:57):
Stuff doesn't want you to buy an Xbox.

Speaker 2 (49:00):
I told you that years ago.

Speaker 1 (49:01):
So well, I'm just saying unless you have the unless
you really really need the console. Like I'm worried about
like what if what if my Xbox like kicks the bucket,
you know or something. I you know, I don't have
any wooden knock on here, but it's just like I,

(49:23):
you know, that's not a several replacements all of a
sudden go oh yeah, I'm gonna spend six hundred and
fifty dollars now, man, just not happening. I would just
save that for a laptop, which I definitely need. This
one's eight years old that I'm doing this recording on
right now. So but yeah, let's moving on from that. Uh.

(49:44):
There is another rumor of another game going to PS five.
The post website PPE states that's received some information that
Microsoft Flight Simulator is gonna come out in November on
PS five. Nathan Hayte also has said this in the past,

(50:07):
that we can expect this game out on PS five
at some point this year. Now they've kind of narrowed
down the timeframe. That's always a whatever game For me,
it's amazing, it's it's a beautiful game to like go
and see and explore that, but not one for me.
I don't know about. Would you play its five?

Speaker 3 (50:29):
Actually I probably would. I could probably be like a
relaxing game, you know. Yeah, so I'd give it a shot.

Speaker 1 (50:37):
Yeah, I'd be interested to see how many people would
be interested and give it a shot too, Right, This
has always been one of those niche things from Microsoft.
It's one of those like cool things. They can tut that,
hey we brought that back for Xbox and all that.
But I really wonder how many people that are PS
five only are really interested in that. Uh speaking of

(51:01):
go ahead, Sorry.

Speaker 3 (51:02):
I did say I think there's at least a small
minority or a small segment. Yeah, because they probably have
a have a flight stick and they played through ace
Combat seven a dozen times and like what else do nothing?

Speaker 1 (51:16):
Wonder bend that's gonna ever announce an ace Combat eight.

Speaker 3 (51:21):
I mean they announced whenever. He every like five or
six years, and it is around that time. Haven't got
a new Ridge Racer. We getting a new Ace Combat ever?
Ready five years?

Speaker 2 (51:33):
And I say, okay, thanks.

Speaker 1 (51:36):
But moving on to Sony in the PS five, everybody
that's hoping for that remake of Bloodborn, keep on hoping
because according to Jeff Grubb, he checked in very recently
and he said there is nothing happening with Bloodborn. So
do not expect that at the state of play that

(51:59):
there is humably happening this week. We don't have any confirmations.
Now watch tomorrow morning, after this is already posted.

Speaker 3 (52:08):
It'll be like HG Remask or HTE Remaster and then
a sequel.

Speaker 1 (52:13):
You know, yeah, but it doesn't surprise me, like they
have other things going on, you know, between Sony and
frum Soft, like they have things going on.

Speaker 2 (52:26):
I am in the minority. Did you ever did you
ever actually play Bloodborne? Or now?

Speaker 1 (52:30):
Yes, I played Born?

Speaker 2 (52:31):
Did he like it?

Speaker 1 (52:33):
I liked it. It's just it's one of those like
I'd have to actually have time to go and get good.

Speaker 3 (52:38):
At that, right yea, So I played it, and I
played it. I'm I think I finished it or I'm
at like the last boss. I don't think I should
beat the guy right now, but like, you know, just
like whatever, like it's just I just thought it was
like just another one of these, like it was like
love it.

Speaker 2 (52:55):
Yeah yeah, and.

Speaker 3 (52:57):
He's when you like bought it for me or now
And that's why I played it with you know, for
like ninety nine percent of the game, it kept like
the last boss. You can't co op that's a ah.
But yeah, I'm just like this is fine, but you know,
it's not special or I there are more, there are
other games that like hold a near place in my
heart than blood Born.

Speaker 2 (53:17):
Let's say that, right, but.

Speaker 1 (53:19):
Hey, for a lot of people, blood Born is the
thing that they're waiting on that that, you know, if
in all of this uh love for Souls and with
Eldon Wing being so huge, like people have been hoping

(53:39):
and wishing and all that for something blood Born and
it's like, nope, just nothing. Every single time there's a
state of play or whatever, it's like, this is a
time blood Born is happening, you know, and then people

(54:01):
get upset when it's Bloodborne is not there, And yeah,
it is kind of like but to be fair, they
haven't even put like de Missoles on PC, so you know,
I mean, now technically that's Sony and Blue Point or
whatever that doesn't really have much to do with you know,
from Soft anymore. But yeah, I mean this is a

(54:25):
game that people love. They keep teasing it. They put
them in uh an Astrobod and and all that stuff,
and they'll do like little crossovers I think with like
Monster Hunter and stuff, and it's just like, why do
you keep teasing Sony? You know, people want it and
they're just like, you know, I get it. The whole
being strung along thing kind of sucks. I wonder if

(54:49):
there's ever been anything going on with blood Born or
it's just.

Speaker 2 (54:52):
That I mean, they're they're doing it to themselves though.

Speaker 3 (54:55):
I mean, yeah, if Bloodborne ship pops up in a
Monster Hunter or you know, uh, Astrobot, like.

Speaker 2 (55:02):
That's like nothing, that's not string them along.

Speaker 3 (55:04):
That's just oh, it's a easter egg or it's just
like some relationship. It's not like, oh yeah, if you
decipher the Ruins Ruins and Astrobot, it spells out you know,
the Bloodborne to release date.

Speaker 2 (55:18):
It's like, no, it's just a costume.

Speaker 3 (55:20):
I mean, they have a Slight Cooper costume in that thing,
but not gonna make any split Sly Cooper game anytime soon,
or so already.

Speaker 1 (55:27):
Said that they're not. Yeah, let's be fair. They did
prove that, uh sly Cooper four was actually really good
and it was not made by Sucker Funds, So they
could make a Slack Coroper five if they wanted to.
They could uh you know export that out.

Speaker 2 (55:46):
But but you.

Speaker 3 (55:47):
Know, there's not a big enough demand. I mean, so
I can report in so well, or you know.

Speaker 1 (55:54):
There's a big enough demand. There's a big enough demand
for what's called Ras and Clank. Supposedly Insomniac's working on
Ratchet and Clank, but it's like a small team so
it's gonna take a while to come out. And Sony
has said they want more family games. So like to me,
it's like, I don't know, use those franchises that you
have that people know.

Speaker 3 (56:16):
I've always say, but I never have meant an astrobot,
which is fine, but you have you know, six other
six other family franchises could have done instead that you didn't.

Speaker 1 (56:27):
So it's true, Uh, Ghost of Yote. I'm not gonna
look not this isn't that kind of show. So not
going to talk about the other than they did let
go of a sucker Punch employee us to some unsavory

(56:50):
things said on the internet. Not going to talk about that.
Don't care to get into that conversation about whether it
was right or not. Like I do think at some point, yo,
the game's about to come out. Shut up right, Like
I get it that we all feel that what we
want to feel about things, but you're putting yourself in

(57:13):
danger at that point. It's like, you know, so, uh,
I don't like anybody losing their job. I don't think
that that's cool at all. I also think like Sucker
Punch also kind of made a statement on that as well.

(57:34):
That's again I don't want to get into that, but
we are like a few weeks away from Ghost of
Yota coming out. They just released a trailer like I
think last week about the having the dual weapons or whatever.

(57:55):
But they they had a Brian Fleming founder Sucker Punch
talk with Steven Telow Game File and he said that
it's one hundred and fifty hundred and sixty people team
that made Sushima and it's around the same amount and
same amount of budget sixty million to make Yota, so

(58:19):
they will have a lot of similar amount of content, right,
but there's no PS four version here for Yota, so
there is that. Are you especially, you know, after you've
already played Shadows this year, how are you kind of
feeling on on Yota? Are you kind of interesting?

Speaker 3 (58:43):
I'm interested, Yeah, because it'll be a different game. I
second to have like the weird RPT mechanics that Shadows did.
It also have gear, but it's not going to be
quite as like oh now I'm a level sixty two
assassin or whatever, auh, And it will probably be a
better story or a more cinematic and impactful story. So

(59:07):
I don't hope.

Speaker 1 (59:09):
Yeah you think so, Yeah, I definitely do. I think
the people that are saying they're not gonna buy the
game or whatever it's there. If they're not, I bet
they will once, you know, the reviews start rolling in
and and all that stuff.

Speaker 2 (59:27):
You know.

Speaker 1 (59:28):
So I feel like it's just a bunch of hogwash.
You're gonna you're gonna buy the game one way or
the other, and if you're not, you know whatever, float
your boat. Yeah, true decision the.

Speaker 2 (59:39):
Game, no big loss. Yeah, like millions of copies of
that thing.

Speaker 1 (59:43):
So you think they'll sasst a Sushima. I do wonder
about that, Like.

Speaker 2 (59:50):
I think so because Sushima did well.

Speaker 3 (59:53):
Not a ton of Xbox I know, a ton of
PS five games come out this you know, for the
rest of your anyway, that is the it is.

Speaker 1 (01:00:00):
A big one game. So yeah, I'm interested at Sushima
is like one of the ones that like, I really like.
I like that whole Japanese historical thing. It's another one
of those. It's like there's just a lot of stuff
again coming out at around the same time. That's like,

(01:00:23):
I don't know how you can budget for all this stuff.
But if it's you're a Sony fan, I think this
is great for you because you get your one game
and you can play that for a while and you know,
go back and play it again. They're going to do
that multiplayer again, so you know, there is that as well.
So it feels like we'll see if they if they

(01:00:44):
do the student play, if they how much they do
for Yota on it. It's already got its own state
of play, so there's that as well. But yeah, I'm
excited for the game. Hopefully a lot people are as well,
not letting this stuff kind of dictate what they're gonna do,

(01:01:06):
and we'll see how well it does eventually. I wouldn't
be surprised if I gets like around an eighty five
ish on the critics.

Speaker 2 (01:01:16):
What do you think, I'd say, ninety?

Speaker 1 (01:01:19):
You think it's gonna get to ninety? Okay, yeah, got
to like what eighty eight or something like that.

Speaker 3 (01:01:24):
Yeah, but you're building on top of that so I
can fix some of the problems that Sushima had and
then you.

Speaker 2 (01:01:28):
Know I don't help.

Speaker 1 (01:01:32):
Yeah, there you go. Cubes already got his pre order,
So yeah, I think if I would have actually been
able to finish Sushima this year. I would have probably
pre ordered it and been more hyped, but I wasn't
able to do that. But I think I'm gonna play
without having finished Sushim because you don't really need They're
not connected really, so they're kind of in the same

(01:01:53):
universe ish, but they're not like you don't need to
play one to play the other.

Speaker 2 (01:01:59):
That helps kind of fantasy.

Speaker 1 (01:02:01):
Yeah, but the last kind of Sony thing here, So
where do you where do you lie on this? Mark
ten Cents says that Sony themselves at one point so
they were concerned. And this isn't a documentary that you
can go and find. The game Post is actually the

(01:02:24):
first one to report about this. Is it a document
that you can go find that even devs working on
Horizon zero Dawn were concerned that it was too close
to ben A Namco's twenty thirteen game, enslaved Odyssey to
the West. They actually shelved the project at one point

(01:02:47):
and then decided to come out with it later. We
know what happened there. Came in around the same time
as A Breath of the Wild didn't started from doing well.
That whole amount of games has like what we last
summer talking about like twenty eight million or something, so
which is nothing to scratch out for still a relatively
new ip, but of course intends to talk about their

(01:03:12):
ripoff game light of Morstrom, and they're essentially accusing I
think the lawyer is doing a great job here. He's
essentially accusing Sony of trying to monopolize concepts and not
just protect their IP. They're essentially trying to say that, oh,

(01:03:34):
kind of like the Nintendo with the Pokemon thing with them, like, oh,
they they had the patent for so many characters. Well,
Sony is trying to essentially say that they're not fighting
a piracy or plagiarism or a general thought to their
intellectual property. They're trying to fence off a well tron

(01:03:55):
corner of popular culture and declare it Sony's explosive domain. Uh.
I think, yeah, that's gonna say. You think you got
any legs here?

Speaker 3 (01:04:06):
Is this a bunch of I mean, I mean, okay,
I didn't play Enslave, but I do remember it kind
of like there were robots in that game, and they
were like vaguely animal.

Speaker 1 (01:04:15):
Like, and some the story elements are a little bit similar.

Speaker 2 (01:04:22):
But like you can't.

Speaker 3 (01:04:23):
If you look at like an enslaved animal or you know,
the robot animal versus you know, Horizon, they don't look
anything alike except for their vocal robots, I mean like that,
and even the Horizon one to the ten Cent one
they looked exactly alike.

Speaker 1 (01:04:41):
To the to the fact that they went and took
all of that stuff that was so similar.

Speaker 2 (01:04:48):
Yeah, their website, right, we don't know how much a
Chinese company likes legs a polding copyright and much say
adhere to it.

Speaker 1 (01:05:01):
Yeah, man, it's like the main character is eerily similar, right,
the weapons are eerily similar, the robots are eerily similar. Like,
the entire thing is close.

Speaker 3 (01:05:17):
And even if like the robots and Enslaved were similar
to the Horizon ones, somehow like it's a completely different
like combat and characters because an enslaved you're playing Goku
and and Horizon you're not playing Goku.

Speaker 1 (01:05:34):
So yeah, it's like it in Slave is a take
on the Journey to the West, right sort of thing.
It's not a you know and.

Speaker 3 (01:05:47):
Well and Horizon is kind of its own thing. But
I mean it's it's definitely not like an original story
per se, but it has original elements in it, but
still it's original or parts of it are like that
ten cent thing looked totally like directly ripped.

Speaker 1 (01:06:05):
So oh yeah, it's like they made no bones about
the fact that, like it was essentially taken from Horizon
and it's like it was so eerily similar. I was
just like, I wonder how quickly Sony realized that it
was like a rip off? Yeah, and how long it
took this like thing to come to light because it

(01:06:28):
was like, wow, this is just too much, you know, right,
and again, like the whole some of those story concepts
or whatever could have come from Enslaved, but Sony actually did,
and Gorilla and all of them did their effort to
make it different, whereas like you're just going, oh, we're

(01:06:51):
going to slap a different name on here and make
it the dollartry version of Horizon and say that we
should have a right to make it because Horizon doesn't
own the game or whatever. Yeah, it's like, no, man,
it's this could if this could essentially infringe on their

(01:07:16):
their copyright, their their ip in China, especially right, Sonny
does pretty decently in China.

Speaker 2 (01:07:22):
Like well, instead of like the fund instead of like
the thunder.

Speaker 3 (01:07:27):
Jaws or of Rip Jaws and uh, Horizon maybe like
the Lightning Jaws or you know, some stupid shit and
the ten Cent game like yeah, no, and especially since
like Horizon is like the one game that actually seems
it just so gonna make a life service came out
of like we'll see if it actually happens or not.
But that was the one they didn't really cancel yet,

(01:07:50):
so they still say that franchise is valuable.

Speaker 1 (01:07:54):
Yeah, And also like he brings up the whole like, oh,
people were making a point that it was like a
lot like a slave. It's like it wasn't a vocal majority,
it was Yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:08:07):
I never heard that or I never saw when I
saw that the Horizon trailer, I didn't think like, oh,
this looks like enslaved.

Speaker 1 (01:08:13):
I'm just like And to be fair, also, it's like,
I think it's hard to talk about anything when with
the Horizon's launch because everybody was sitting there playing Breath
of the Wild. So I don't think anybody was noticing
anything really about Horizon as far as like if it's
close to one game or another game, it's just like, okay,
there's that game. Uh, and they're both kind of open

(01:08:34):
world you can kind of go where you want games
and things like that. It's well, they chose one over
the other.

Speaker 3 (01:08:41):
Yeah, it's also like no offense to enslaved, Like it's
fine enough, but it wasn't like a big hit when
it came out, No, it was.

Speaker 1 (01:08:50):
It's very niche. Yeah, and then like what's funny is
like they bring up like stuff about like games that
came out close to when Horizon launched and the games
that came out afterward, and like how these are all
genre conventions. It's like yeah, but again they're all their
own thing Like Breath of the Wild looks nothing like Horizon.

(01:09:12):
Far Crowd looks nothing like Horizon Outer Wilds it's something
like Horizon. It's like, well, man, y'all were just graspming
at straws. Just they're eventually going I feel like they're
just gonna settle at some point and then that's gonna
be the end of it. I don't I don't see
them going into some public spat about it, because you know,

(01:09:33):
they have to deal with each other, yeah, between Katakawa
and some stuft and all that stuff.

Speaker 3 (01:09:43):
So it'd be really funny if someone who was just
like you know, that's it, and just like somehow licensed
Horizon to this game, but not for like America, like
just like East Asian or you know Asian Horizon.

Speaker 1 (01:10:00):
Yeah, it's like, well, if you really want to make it,
well allow. But only in China.

Speaker 2 (01:10:07):
There is at least one called inny game that only
came out. I mean there's a called online.

Speaker 1 (01:10:11):
Yeah, yeah, that's true. For a long time, it was
only in China.

Speaker 2 (01:10:15):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:10:17):
Uh. Konami who you know, Mark just talked about Sewn
Hill Up that's about to come out a couple of days.
They have Metal Group Solid Delta. Last month, yep, they
put out a poll that asking about which Metal Gear

(01:10:38):
game you'd like to see get remade. You know, we
already know that Konami is working with Blueber Team again
on Saln Hill one remake, so we know that they
are not averse to doing more remakes of their games
after they do the initial one. Do you have a
preference for a certain one over.

Speaker 3 (01:10:57):
The other you want to see called Medagre Acid I
make the card game people, No, you know, I think people.
I think what they want people to say is Medigar
two Solid two. I din't never wanted them Saw four,
but I think they can do that.

Speaker 1 (01:11:20):
Unfortunately, I think Medica Solid one, like, if anything.

Speaker 3 (01:11:28):
I would be in favor of that, only if they
released like a premium edition or like the collection or
it's like here's the PS one version of Marcus Solid one,
here's the GameCube version Mederica Solid one, and then here's
our new version that does does the way the weird
GameCube crap.

Speaker 1 (01:11:48):
But didn't they do that already with the collection?

Speaker 3 (01:11:51):
No, that Medica Solid GameCube Twin Snakes has never been
re released. I don't think.

Speaker 1 (01:11:58):
Okay, that must be like they're definitely rumored to be
in the the next like the volume two or whatever that. Yeah,
they haven't announced yet, but they said that they were
working on a volume two of that collection.

Speaker 2 (01:12:12):
Yeah, it's it's only on the GameCube.

Speaker 3 (01:12:13):
I think I could see a volunt two like Twin
Snakes four, that's what everyone wants.

Speaker 2 (01:12:19):
Actually, Acid one and two and.

Speaker 1 (01:12:21):
Then yeah, get that game off PUS three year, I
mean the August four.

Speaker 3 (01:12:28):
Yeah, and then Acid one and two and then whatever
portable ops in peace Walker.

Speaker 2 (01:12:35):
That'll be like all the rest.

Speaker 1 (01:12:37):
Really yeah, because you can buy Fan and Pain like
pretty easily.

Speaker 3 (01:12:42):
You wouldn't want Yeah, you wouldn't do that one that
that almost feel like a slap in the face because
who wants this?

Speaker 1 (01:12:48):
Like well, I mean technically that's part of the collection.

Speaker 3 (01:12:53):
Right, but no, if a volume two came out and
didn't have four, that would like instantly deflate my excitement
for it.

Speaker 1 (01:13:02):
They have to know that, like people are waiting on
four like that bad?

Speaker 3 (01:13:08):
So right, it's for it feel like a day maybe
not day one, but I would get it when it's
probably pretty new but without flour but I'll wait tup
twenty bucks.

Speaker 1 (01:13:19):
Yeah, I definitely want to see them. Uh do you
have remake of one? Just to get everybody that entry point?
I think, even though three technically is because it's right
make the metal gear yeah, oh yeah, the Nintendo they
make a.

Speaker 2 (01:13:36):
Really nice HD port of that or HG remaster, Like oh.

Speaker 1 (01:13:41):
They can especially do whatever they want with that, right,
because it's like I was just on a ne e
S so right, why not? It's yeah, that's gonna be
cool if they ever do announce that. Yeah, with TGS
around the corner, maybe they already have an idea and
they just wanted to get people's feedback just to see
if they were right or not on which when they
picked right Borderlands four after we talked about last week,

(01:14:07):
you know, Randy Pittsford crashing out on Twitter over PC performance.
That hasn't stopped Borderlandes four from doing well. According to
ALNYA Analytics, we don't have official word from take two.
Just because they haven't said anything though, doesn't mean that
this is not correct. It's just this is like an

(01:14:27):
estimate based off like you know, Steam concurrence and other
things like that, that two point five million players have
explored Cairo since the release since Tamber twelfth, and data
that they provided to Gaming the Shootout viz. One point
three million copies of that is on Steam by itself
for around eighty million dollars or so on revenue. I

(01:14:51):
also think that Randy Pitcher wouldn't be talking so much
junk if he if the game was doing badly, right.
I do think he'd be a little more reserved, But
I think he knows he can go off the handle
because what a Lands fours is doing really well?

Speaker 3 (01:15:09):
Right, I mean sales wise, sure, But I don't know
if he saw the dude, the founder aything that game.
I mean, even aside from.

Speaker 1 (01:15:17):
PC side pro version is terrible, right, like.

Speaker 2 (01:15:22):
All versions are terrible. Like the longer you play, the
worse it gets.

Speaker 1 (01:15:28):
That's not great.

Speaker 2 (01:15:30):
Yeah that's a cool memory, Leake like yeah, like.

Speaker 1 (01:15:35):
Yeah, you go no, no, it's just like it's funny
to him. It's just funny that he just like went
so bad on defending it. It's like, look, I know
y'all working on passes, but come on, man, stop trying
to make it. Just own it. Even Knots told him
like yo, man, like ye a man responsibility.

Speaker 3 (01:15:56):
I mean he did kind of he didn't kind of
own it a little when he said like, oh, patches coming.
But it's like, dude, like if it's every version of
the game that actually play for an hour, like it
starts to get worse.

Speaker 2 (01:16:09):
Didn't any of you see this?

Speaker 3 (01:16:11):
Like I assume you have a q A department somewhere,
Like didn't they raise a hand and go wait?

Speaker 2 (01:16:17):
Or I mean were they all playing on the on
the uh?

Speaker 3 (01:16:21):
I don't know if every version has this, but you
know the PS five has like quality or performance, Like
I think in quality it's actually fine because you know,
the quality does lots into thirty frames per second when
performance is trying to hit sixty and like performance just
hit sixty, but then you know, an hour later goes
down to like fifty fifty five, and then it just
keeps getting worse and worse, and it's like didn't I mean,

(01:16:44):
you can say the patches are coming, but it's like, Yo,
this game wasn't another one for a long time, Right,
didn't any of you notice this beforehand? Or if if
you didn't, or it's a let's assume somehow they didn't,
or it came out like super late, like they didn't
they noticed it, like the game was already like being
being made or being copied or whatever.

Speaker 2 (01:17:04):
Feel like, hey, we have a day one patch.

Speaker 3 (01:17:08):
Let's get this fix in there now before right, it
actually happens.

Speaker 1 (01:17:16):
No, there, it's just funny, like to go have that
kite come out after he goes off on everybody. It's like,
good on him that he has the sales to back
it up and people seem to be enjoying it aside
from that, but right, not great, not great that that's
kind of like the legacy of the game. All right, Well,

(01:17:36):
another studio that does have something going on at TGS,
they're supposed to be doing another one of those, like
RGG Studio directs on September twenty fourth, rumored and also
kind of like leaked on their own website, is that

(01:17:57):
there might be another remass sir a remake coming for
the Kawami series, this time being Yakuza Kawami three. Of course,
they have Kwame one and two, which are the like
remastered versions of the first two games remain and so
now there's gonna be one about three. A lot of
people talking about if they were gonna do another one,

(01:18:19):
three definitely deserves it or do you kind of stand
on that?

Speaker 3 (01:18:23):
I think three might have been like the last PS
two one, and I think, yeah, like yeah, four and.

Speaker 2 (01:18:29):
Five like that. Three?

Speaker 3 (01:18:31):
Yeah, yeah, No, Yakuza three wasn't was on p S three?
Uh yeah, I mean sure, why not?

Speaker 1 (01:18:44):
Yeah don't. But I think that's great that you're gonna
provide better, better ways for people to play that game.
I mean, yeah, you can get them on PS four
like in a collection, right, But you know three apparently
has some gameplay, right, is kind of wonky or whatnot.
So if you can make it play better for people,
then why not?

Speaker 3 (01:19:05):
I still want Uh, if they're going to make remake
a game or make it better.

Speaker 2 (01:19:10):
I still would want Dead Souls.

Speaker 1 (01:19:12):
Yeah, I feel like that's the last one that's kind
of left right of the big spin offs.

Speaker 2 (01:19:16):
Yeah, so I think so.

Speaker 1 (01:19:19):
I'm surprised that they haven't kind of brought that over
just to say, hey, we did it. But maybe it's
like they're worried about is it gonna sell?

Speaker 3 (01:19:29):
I think it would actually, Yeah, I think it actually
would do pretty well. Like that's assuming I fixed the combat.
Can I remember, like the shooting that game is like
never great. If they actually made it well, right, they
would would do pretty well, especially you know, Americans like zombies.

Speaker 1 (01:19:44):
So yeah, true, obviously wol have helped when if you
would have come out like during earlier times when zombies
were at their height more. But yeah, we do love
going in and getting that zombie shine whenever we can. Yep,
for sure, we talked about it a little bit. You

(01:20:08):
mentioned it. Yes, there is more on the rumored. It
feels like long rumored now Sassa's Creed for Black Flag remake.
This one is coming from ju Video Magazine. Of course
there are French so it makes sense ubisofts French. Yes,

(01:20:29):
of course you have contacts in there talking about stuff
from you besoft. The rumor going around now is that
there's gonna be a lot more RPG mechanics put into
Black Flag than there were originally, so I guess it
would be more like the less mirage and more I

(01:20:51):
guess Valhalla and Odyssey kind of thing. Shadows had some
of that, right, but it wasn't like full bore on it.

Speaker 3 (01:20:59):
Or no Shadows is a ton of it. It's just
not okay. It's like in Valhalla. It's like, okay, you
have like five armor pieces and then two weapons in
val and not Shadows. Sorry, it's more you have a
bunch of different weapons, but only like an armor piece
and that's it, and like a necklace.

Speaker 2 (01:21:18):
And a head piece. I guess three at three compared
to five.

Speaker 1 (01:21:24):
Yeah, I mean, I definitely understand people that are upset.

Speaker 2 (01:21:30):
About it, like I think it's a terrible idea.

Speaker 1 (01:21:35):
Yeah, that's that's what I meant. It's like, I wonder
where you are because you're more of the old school
sassas creed, Like I want more of those and less.

Speaker 3 (01:21:44):
Of let's I think you could work in theory if
they had every like so, you know, Black Flag has
a huge map in it, but if they had like
distinct islands or distinct sectors where it's like, okay, this
this is for levels fifteen to twenty, or this is
for levels twenty five to thirty five or whatever, that'd
be fine. That'd be not great, but it'd be better

(01:22:06):
than what they're gonna do, which is gonna have it
just be like adaptive leveling, which sucks or you know,
like the game like levels up with you. Yeah, I
think that's not fun, Like you should you should feel
an element of danger if you're going into like a
higher level area, Like if you're level twelve and you're
going into like a level fifty area and you get one,

(01:22:28):
you should feel scared the you're gonna get one shotted.

Speaker 1 (01:22:32):
And also like I don't want that attributed to the
ships too. And then it's like, oh, I can't go
and fight that ship because I'm not level twenty, right,
so you know it's like or my ship doesn't have
all this type of gear on it, so I'm automatically
gonna lose.

Speaker 3 (01:22:48):
And it's like, right, you need the epic canon or
like the you know, the legendary canons to Yeah, I
mean Black Flag did actually kind of have that, like
there are I think there are four ships that are
like way I mean they don't have like the levels
in the game, but like way higher or more difficult
than like the regular ships. But they're more like challenges

(01:23:09):
or like they are meant to be optional, Like it's
not like a required thing. Ah no, this is this
like them putting like a level or like Arpide mechanics
just makes it like I'm gonna have dailies now in
this goddamn game, just like Valhalla and Shadows, Like, oh,
you know.

Speaker 1 (01:23:28):
You'd be loves that because they want you playing the
that game every day. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:23:33):
Yeah, I locked a new head piece from my Edward
or you know, new swords or something. It's like this
didn't A didn't need it, and B like the game
suffers for it.

Speaker 1 (01:23:43):
So yeah, I'm kind of like, look, somebody that loves RPG's,
that's fine, but I don't want it like adding bloat
to the game either, like you know.

Speaker 2 (01:23:54):
That's what it totally will do. Also, yeah, like.

Speaker 1 (01:23:58):
Like I one of the things that I love Viking stuff,
but one of the things I never touched my holo
was because it's like, yo, I don't have two hundred
hours sure for this you know, like I never black
Flag being like thirty.

Speaker 3 (01:24:15):
Black's why I can getlong, you like really like so.

Speaker 1 (01:24:19):
Yeah, you go around to like all the all the
islands and right, you know.

Speaker 3 (01:24:24):
I mean there is like upgrades for like your ship
and even your character, but it's not like an actual
like hard like you don't have like a level seventeen ship.
It's just like, oh, there are four six upgrade like
upgrade past to your ship and.

Speaker 2 (01:24:38):
That's about it.

Speaker 3 (01:24:42):
So yeah, Tomy bloated and it's gonna be like very
deal s heavy or very like my career because like, oh,
do you want any do you want to custom sales
for your ship or do you want to No?

Speaker 1 (01:24:53):
No, I do not, Like, according to Holland, to be
the main story is like twenty four hours.

Speaker 2 (01:25:00):
Yeah, I can say that.

Speaker 1 (01:25:02):
Snide Quest is like forty, but if you want to
do everything, it can go up to sixty. Yeah I don't.
I don't want the main part of it to go
up to like forty because they needed to have all
this RPGs stuff in there.

Speaker 3 (01:25:15):
Yeah, to be like you know, one of the to
be like one of the evil pirates have to be
like level thirty five minimum or something.

Speaker 1 (01:25:24):
Yeah, now, let's not. I hate that level gating stuff
in a thing that's not that wasn't originally an RPG. Like,
I get it if we're all a pop fantasy or
whatever d quest, but not not this, uh not, you know.
Sticking with the ub saw splinter Cell, the animated series
debuts on October fourteenth, so we are getting something spinter Cell.

(01:25:50):
This driver is also obviously going to do Sam Fisher.
They had the first trailer. Not going to show it
here because we get slapped with the strike.

Speaker 3 (01:26:01):
But and you see this, I said the trailer, I
thought it looked really bad.

Speaker 1 (01:26:09):
It's fine to me.

Speaker 2 (01:26:11):
It looks like very just generic and cheap.

Speaker 1 (01:26:13):
You know, Yeah, I agree with you on that. It's not.

Speaker 2 (01:26:18):
I was gonna say real quick about Assassin Screed Forward.

Speaker 3 (01:26:20):
Do you talk about how about it last week or
about how they're ditching all the present day stuff?

Speaker 1 (01:26:27):
We did mention it, We talked about it earlier too. Okay, Yeah,
it feels like, yeah, they're they're definitely that's what they're doing.
That's what they're They're beefing it up with our Begia
mechanics as to remove the present day.

Speaker 3 (01:26:40):
Well, they're also adding in I guess, like I guess
that game did have some unfinished content around, like certain characters,
so they're gonna like finish that up and add it in.
And it's like okay, but like the problem with the
fashions created, at least one of the main problems is
it is this framework. It is a game with a
framework of present day stuff that present day stuff kind

(01:27:03):
of finished with the Assassin's Creed I think three at least,
like the Desmond Miles part. Right, you guys have introduced
five other present day like points but have yet to
like continue on like like like you didn't so since
P four has like the really cool first person uh

(01:27:26):
Abstergo Tower thing where you're like working as a game designer,
which is like a really cool hook, and Road continued
that hook, but you're playing a different character. But like
Assassin's Creed, Unity was separate from that, and then Valhalla,
uh Odyssey and Origins had a separate character and like

(01:27:49):
they keep like starting and stopping. Yes, like you have
like there's no like main architects for that series anymore
like there used to be. So that's why it's like
so fragged minted because you don't have a guy in charge,
going like, no, this is the actual overall like that
that series means like a Kevin Figy from Marvel, and

(01:28:10):
they used to have one. His name was Corey may
uh because he wrote like all like the first four
or five games and then I think he left or
I think I think he just like left, you want
to do something else, and then they never really replaced him.
That's why that franchises is such a tail spend these days,
just because it's all different may being maybe a different

(01:28:31):
studios and they all keep going in different directions.

Speaker 2 (01:28:37):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:28:37):
Not uh, it kind of goes with like every time
that they I guess they thought they could do it
without him, right.

Speaker 3 (01:28:48):
You don't need that guy specifically, but you need you
do need a guy or girl at the top level
who is like the face of the company or face
of that brand, who has like a guiding force of
that narrative. And if you don't have that, okay as well.
And two yeah, so yeah, that's my thought on it.

(01:29:14):
But you can go back to spinterfilf and how we
went ever gonna get a game out of that again?

Speaker 1 (01:29:20):
I will just keep wishing.

Speaker 3 (01:29:23):
I guess let me ask you. I did watch it
pretty recently. Can you watch Arcane?

Speaker 1 (01:29:30):
No? I keep saying I'm going to, and then I don't.

Speaker 3 (01:29:34):
So I watched it like within like a few weeks ago,
and I was like, Okay, this is fine, I guess,
but I didn't like the look of it at all,
or like parts of it.

Speaker 2 (01:29:44):
I didn't like it all. Let's say that.

Speaker 1 (01:29:48):
It's the thing that catches everybody basically.

Speaker 3 (01:29:50):
Yeah, some of it look good, but some of it
look really shaky to me. And I was like, all right,
I guess, and then me names were like arguing about
it because he doesn't any c G I stuff except
for like that, that's about it.

Speaker 1 (01:30:09):
I mean, what is he? I thought it looked really
good for what it is, you know. Yeah, I mean
it's it deserves the awards it's gotten. They won the
was it Emmy for Animated Series or whatnot?

Speaker 3 (01:30:32):
So I just didn't It didn't appeal to me. Let's
just say that. But I watched it the first season.
I'll watch the second one when it gets released in
a few weeks or a few months.

Speaker 1 (01:30:46):
Are you gonna end up watching this spinter Cell thing or.

Speaker 3 (01:30:51):
If it somehow gets amazing reviews? Maybe, but I doubt it. Yeah, Uh, here,
here's a question. Do you think they get Michael Ironside
to be like Sam Fisher's trainer or like mentor.

Speaker 1 (01:31:09):
Well, you mean like in the first season or like
in the future.

Speaker 3 (01:31:14):
Well and either way, or you know, like he's like
the old Zetteran or something like that.

Speaker 1 (01:31:22):
Uh, probably not.

Speaker 2 (01:31:24):
Yeah, it'd be funny though.

Speaker 1 (01:31:26):
Like you said, they they're probably trying to keep it
on the cheap so right.

Speaker 3 (01:31:31):
Well, believe me, Michael, Michael Ironside doesn't cost too much
these days.

Speaker 1 (01:31:40):
You're probably right about that. But I can imagine that
they are still.

Speaker 3 (01:31:44):
It just it'd be like a funny gag if like
in the in the show, they do a flashback and
it's like Michael Ironside's character, he's like older and he
tries to do that like weird split move and can't
do it anymore.

Speaker 1 (01:32:00):
Yeah. I wonder if they will add levity in there
not being an animated show where they're gonna try to
keep it kind of serious.

Speaker 3 (01:32:06):
No, they're gonna heard to give it serious, and that's
that's not the way they should do it.

Speaker 1 (01:32:10):
It'll be to his detriment.

Speaker 2 (01:32:14):
But it's kind of like, I don't I don't think
you watch it.

Speaker 3 (01:32:19):
Uh that Jack Reacher, I mean not Jack picture the
Jack Ryan TV show, which.

Speaker 1 (01:32:24):
A few episodes of that. I do like it, but it's.

Speaker 2 (01:32:27):
That show just has like no levity or like very
few amounts.

Speaker 3 (01:32:31):
Yeah, very And if you compare, if you compare it
to Reacher, which they're playing, they're pretty much playing in the
same ballpark. But like Rich has like a sense of
fun and like adventure and comedy, which makes it enjoyable
to watch.

Speaker 1 (01:32:47):
It's another one of those also like missed opportunitious for you,
because imagine if you would have had the news fun
of cell game to go along with this.

Speaker 2 (01:32:56):
Oh, don't worry, that's that's still five years off at least.

Speaker 1 (01:32:58):
So maybe it'll do like Fallout where you get more
people playing those games. I don't know, can you even
play them outside of backwards compatibility?

Speaker 2 (01:33:08):
No?

Speaker 1 (01:33:09):
Are they on PC?

Speaker 3 (01:33:11):
Uh? The last one was I know that I think
most of them are okay, but and they're you know,
but playing old games like that, it's like that may
not work out too well.

Speaker 1 (01:33:24):
Yeah, that's the whole reason you want this remix, so
you can have like a modern version of that, Okay.

Speaker 3 (01:33:29):
Yeah, yeah, like Black Clisters on Silver on skiam for
twenty bucks, but you can't play multiplayer anymore.

Speaker 1 (01:33:36):
Yeah, well that's kind of expected this right, All right,
I'm gonna close things out here with the UH. I
watched a six to one indie showcase. They have some
pretty interesting games. A lot of them are either slated
for some point this fall or they're coming out like

(01:33:59):
way after six. One game that I thought like, maybe
you might like Lucid that that's coming out next year.
It's like a what if Celeste and the Metroit Vania
and some more like attacking type game was made altogether

(01:34:25):
with some bomb music. This looked great, so it's one
of the ones. It has a demo and on Steam too.
I don't know if this is like something where like
a lot of those demos are gonna like they're gone
now because they kind of made it seem like it
was for this weekend, or if they meant that this

(01:34:45):
is going to be like on the main page of
Steam for this weekend only, but then the demos will
still be around for a lot of them. Because almost
all the games that were in this thing had demos,
and this is one of them. It looks pretty awesome,
So shout out to the guy making it, who like

(01:35:07):
they debuted this game like three years ago at their
like first one, so it's pretty cool to kind of
see them get the show it off here. Another one
that set out to be Mister Sleepy Man was such
like a three D like platformer. The song for it
is ridiculous, which I can't play here, but it also

(01:35:31):
has a demo. It's like literally this guy and like
one of those old you know guys pajamas and he's
going around like just jumping on things and whatever, and
it's it's hilarious.

Speaker 3 (01:35:51):
Speaking of hilarious real quick, you know I had last
week we talked about that Nintendo thing. Uh yeah, and
one of the things that does that Pokemon farming game,
right or Pokemon Animal crossing with.

Speaker 2 (01:36:04):
The ditto Procopia.

Speaker 1 (01:36:07):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:36:07):
Yeah, they just announced Power World's announced the spin off
today just a few hours ago called tel.

Speaker 1 (01:36:12):
Farm Are you serious?

Speaker 3 (01:36:15):
Yeah, okay, enjoy Enjoy a farming life and the serious
creatures known as pals.

Speaker 2 (01:36:24):
And it's on YouTube.

Speaker 1 (01:36:24):
But they already do that technically, yeah, sort of like
it was mainly about surviving. But you know what, I
don't blame pow Well for doing that, Like why not.

Speaker 3 (01:36:40):
It's not out or anything yet, but yeah, just a
quick trailer.

Speaker 1 (01:36:46):
Yeah, I wonder how like they were probably trying they
probably heard about them doing that, and we're trying to
beat them to it, all right, and then like the
power does for like oh yeah, really, okay, we got
one too, why don't you right, So you know, I

(01:37:08):
don't go for Power World like anything that can exist
to give Nintendo kind of a the one in the
side kind of deal I'm all for. You know.

Speaker 4 (01:37:22):
Another game that I liked a lot has like a
some Pokemon vice with Earthbound Hermit and the Pig has
like a lot of the I guess Earthbound Pokemon type
turn based mechanics with a bunch of like warrior war
type gag stuff, and uh, probably gonna be like one

(01:37:43):
of those kind of like sweet stories.

Speaker 1 (01:37:46):
So that's coming out like January of next year. So
that also has a demo on Steam so I'm gonna
go check it out. It look kind of fun. They
have an indie version of Powerwash Stimulator called mold Washer
that's like you're a sushi and you're just you're using

(01:38:09):
a pressure washer to watch stuff. A pretty neat.

Speaker 2 (01:38:15):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:38:17):
Uh, they show more that get go God's game that
I think they've shown a few of these things. They
had a cool game called Gloomy Juncture that's like got
this weird art style. It's like a point and click
ish like adventure game that looks cool. That also has

(01:38:38):
a demo engraving that's like a horror game that you're
making the map as you go. It has some crazy
like art style too that looks pretty awesome. Uh. They
show more Giga Sword as well that that's been shown

(01:38:58):
off quite a few times. Another showcases it was going
to come out in a couple of weeks, but then
they delayed it to like November thirteenth, now, so that's
kind of a bummer. It was kind of like waiting
on that game a bit. They also showed off this

(01:39:19):
like first person game it looks that has a neat
art style with like weird looking cats and you make
your own weapons and stuff like that. It was just
kind of like, all right, I'm down for this, you know,

(01:39:43):
go for it. It's called Undermere. So yeah, I like
the like cartoonist art style, but like you get the
first person like arbig kind of mechanics in there too.
So that is one of the ones that doesn't have
a demo, I think, but it still looked cool, so

(01:40:06):
I guess we'll see when this finally comes out and whatnot.
It's like a roguelike ish so it starts out with
those enemies being kind of small and then they get
bigger as you go on. You imagine. So, uh, they
had one that's kind of like smashed TV called God's

(01:40:27):
TV that looks kind of neat as well as Yeah,
they had some like I wouldn't. The one that I
think a lot of people were crazy about is this
like Dark Souls inspired game that it's called Scrap Dackle

(01:40:47):
that kind of looks like it's like Dark Souls, but
it has a demo as well, so if you're like
interested at all, it's kind of like, if you had
I want you to call it Undertail with Dark Souls with

(01:41:10):
scribble knots because they it's like kind of like the
Act one type of thing where this is Act one
and I'm sure there's gonna be more acts to it.
It has the demo out there you can go play this,
but this was like the it feels like it was
the highlight of the show for a lot of people,
So yeah, go check that out too. I know they

(01:41:32):
all souls fans probably would like it, but yeah, there
was a lot in there. They showed off, like fifty
games or whatnot, or at least fifty if none more.
So probably it's something in there for everybody for sure.

(01:41:54):
But all right, anything else you want to talk about here?

Speaker 3 (01:41:58):
We want the trailer that how Farm game, and they're
gonna get sued again because they're like lifting.

Speaker 1 (01:42:09):
Okay, well now now I feel like we've got I
feel like we're gonna have to I know, I gotta
find this this trailer, Okay, okay, let's see. Uh okay,

(01:42:30):
I'm gonna pull this and then play it off here.

Speaker 2 (01:42:38):
On this one. H this is.

Speaker 1 (01:42:45):
This is a great radio people.

Speaker 2 (01:42:48):
I'm sorry, right, hey, live broadcast, what do you want?
This is during the show.

Speaker 1 (01:42:57):
So yeah, yeah, they're not playing around with this at all.
It's hilarious.

Speaker 3 (01:43:08):
But even like the font and the colors and everything
looks like Animal Crossing.

Speaker 1 (01:43:15):
I mean, I guess, uh, if you already took from Pokemon,
why not go ahead and take from uh Animal Crossing two? Right? Right?
But okay, yeah there's the cat.

Speaker 2 (01:43:37):
Yeah, I done fine, And like even a bubble looks
the same.

Speaker 1 (01:43:41):
Yeah, even though, but hey, you know, like if you
can kind of make it work, like why not upset
To be fair, you could do some of this already
in power World, so it's not like, you know, this
is like two out of the realm. It's a it's
a very uh kind of like you could see this
being an extension right of But see that's that's my

(01:44:06):
thing is like, dude, that looks like we car you
come on, Like that's that's part of the problem is
like you you did a little bit too close to
some of the designs, right.

Speaker 2 (01:44:18):
Oh my, versus like just stealing.

Speaker 1 (01:44:21):
Like yeah, it's kind of like that same horizon has
the kind of the point with the lights of mortrum
thing of just okay, you a little bit too close
to the sun kind of deal. This looks hilarious for
the Hey, but yeah, you know i'd be I'd be

(01:44:44):
down for this as well. I got like Power Wood
a lot. I just you know, I stopped playing it
because it's how to move on other things. But yeah,
like I wonder if they're gonna go this far and
the the Nintendo game, right, because they're going to have
you be able to get married and that kind of stuff.
Or is it all just based on the Pokemon, because
this seems like this is also based on not just

(01:45:05):
a creatures, but your character as well, whereas like Ditto
is just kind of there to facilitate the Pokemon being
happy and having houses and whatnot. Oh, did they just
throw a ball? Yeah, you're not kidding. I wouldn't be
surprised to see for that.

Speaker 2 (01:45:27):
Yep.

Speaker 1 (01:45:28):
But all right, that was a neat end of the
show there. But all right, let's get into the thing
we usually do to end the show, which is talk
about how you're going to throw your wallet out and
your wallet is kind of make you cry on this week.

(01:45:51):
For sure, Hades Too comes out in a couple of days,
so I'm sure everybody has that the things circle for
that game coming out. If you have a switch or
switch To, definitely gonna be like my next switch To
game for sure, already got it pre ordered and just

(01:46:14):
waiting for it to hit. The twenty fifth Consume Me
is that neat game about is made by the dev
It's like her own like sort of autobiography about her
life in high school, college and how she goes about
losing weight. Definitely kind of be one of those indies

(01:46:36):
to kind of look out for. Rain World is getting
this expansion, The Watcher. It's just coming out to everything
on the twenty fifth as well. Silent Hill F coming
out of the twenty fifth. Mark already thought about having
it pre ordered, so I'll have Haiti's two impressions and
Mark will have impressed with Solent Hill F next week,
so you know, we'll definitely have some games to talk

(01:46:59):
about there. You have Sonic Racing Cross Worlds, which that
has a demo out and I played one Grand Prix
with Tails. It's hilarious how they do the I forgot
to talk about this hilarious how they do the the
rival thing, like Knuckles disappointed as tales this rival, but

(01:47:22):
they like talk crap to each other and then like
if you don't beat Knuckles and the race or whatever,
he'll talk crap to you as well. At the when
you get when you start seeing like your points or whatever.
I love all the like the the different routes and

(01:47:43):
ramps of stuff that they have. It's like really well done.
I thought it's a fun game. It's just not having
a story mode kind of hits it from me a
little bit. It's just one of those things. It's like,
I don't want it to be like Mark Car World,
where you buy it and then I kind of stop
playing it. And to spend sixty hours on a game
that you buy and you stop playing is not something

(01:48:06):
I want to do in this season. But I think
it's got a lot of good reviews. The demo was fun.
I think definitely if this does really well, not gonna
be surprised. Also, I love Sega doing the kind of
doing the flashback commercials for it as well knocking Nintendo
a little bit on the Mario Kart Right. Sworn comes

(01:48:28):
to game Pass and also PSIBN PC and Xbox as
well Autilier, Resistance of or Reslurana, The Red Alchemists and
The White Guardian also comes out in the twenty six
that's coming Everything but Xbox EA Sports FC twenty six
Get your soccer fix on Everything, Hotel Barcelona. That's the

(01:48:51):
game was Sweary and suit A fifty one, which looks
like it's going to be a hard ass. I don't
know what you called Roguelike beat Him Up game. I've
thought about it if I wanted to review that or not,
and I was like, I don't want to say I
want to review this game, and then I'm banging my

(01:49:13):
head against the wall dying because that's all they've shown.
This trailer is like somebody dying constantly. It was like,
I don't know NBA Bounce, which is two k's newest
shot at or NBA's newest shot at trying to have
an arcade game that looks like a lot of fun.
I just I don't know. I hope it's good. We'll see.

(01:49:37):
I'm you know. I like the other like two K
kind of arcade games well enough, but this one looks
like it could be fun enough pac Man World to repack.
Also out there on everything you interested in in any
of this stuff at.

Speaker 3 (01:49:55):
Allies two Yeah, but no like their ghetto version of.

Speaker 2 (01:50:03):
NBA jam oh thank you?

Speaker 3 (01:50:06):
Yeah, I mean swear these games like look cool but
aren't very usually not fun to play.

Speaker 1 (01:50:14):
Yeah. I love Suda's like story mechanics and their jokes
and all that stuff. If it was more like Shadows
of the Damn then and less trying to be like
their soulsy version, right, I would totally be down. But

(01:50:35):
there's just too much coming and it's thirty dollars as well.
Like like I said, with holl of Night. Twenty dollars
is where I can go. Okay, no problem, you know whatever,
twenty bucks. When you get past the twenty bucks, so
like the thirty range, that's when I'm like, okay, I
gotta look and make sure I'm really into this game
or whatnot. All right, but all right, there's a lot

(01:50:57):
of stuff, and then that doesn't stop. There is the
next week not to muchly who knows where it's gonna
get a nint Tokyo game show. But then the next
week you got Taxis Freemaster and a few other things.
So a lot coming down the line here, but all right,
until then, we do appreciate everybody that watches listens where
he watch live, listen later, watch later. However, it is

(01:51:20):
that you check this out, give us a review, like
subscribe all that on the channel deab too a network,
and we'll see you later, buddy,

I believe that when you (yes you) feel seen, heard and understood you’re able to deal with relationship struggles, work challenges and life’s ups and downs with more ease and grace. I interview experts, celebrities, thought leaders and athletes so that we can grow our mindset, build better habits and uncover a side of them we’ve never seen before. New episodes every Monday and Friday. Your support means the world to me and I don’t take it for granted — click the follow button and leave a review to help us spread the love with On Purpose. I can’t wait for you to listen to your first or 500th episode!
