Speaker 1 (00:13):
You are listening to Video Games to the Max. Hello,
and welcome to another edition of Video Games to the Max,
Episode four hundred and forty seven. I'm your host, Sean Garmer.
Here with me as usual mister Murc Morrison oy. And well,
you know we did if you want to hear our
thoughts on the Switch To and Summer Game Fests and
(00:37):
some of the other showcases, we did already do an
episode for that, so you can go watch that on
the YouTube channel or find it on the podcast feed
as well Video Gives to the Max. But today we
are talking Xbox Games Showcase and you know, our favorite
games from that, and also the announced with the official
(01:00):
announcement of the Rog Xbox Ally and Rog Xbox ally
X or Rog. Some people say it's Rog, some people
say it's Rog. Whatever, you know, floats your boat on
that and Marks and Plans will speak it in one
into a CV Master not on switch to, but hey,
(01:21):
it is a game you can get on switch to
if you want. And yeah, yeah, we'll talk about some
other things as well, some small news bits, but for
the most part this has been showcase season, so it
kind of ends in yeah, well, whether it is Grand
Style or not, but we'll get into all that and more.
(01:45):
All right, well, I guess let's go ahead and get
this housekeeping out of the way here really quick. Again,
just mentioning that we did do an episode on Saturday.
Normally we only do the one live episode a week,
which is usually Mondays at this time around nine pm Eastern.
But you can find that other episode that we did
(02:08):
that talked about Summer Game Fest, sort of like an
early review of Switch to Mario Kart World, some of
the other showcases that happened that wasn't just Summer Game Fest,
that Sony PlayStation Stay to Play all that. We look
about our favorite games from that show. So definitely worth
checking out. And the YouTube video has like the time
(02:29):
stamps if you want to just go and listen or
watch one thing there also if you subscribe to the
channel and only get what we do here videingg Insto
the Max. But if you like other things like anime
and entertainment stuff, TV shows, that kind of thing, you
can go check those out as well. Taco Cafe does
a great job of reviewing the seasonal anime. You know,
(02:51):
right now we're in the midst of about to be
the summer season. They're they're wrapping up that you know,
whole spring deal. They'll be doing their awards and all
that pretty soon for that. And then of course you
got the routes. You're broadcasting people that do all of
the Every week there's some big movie that they're reviewing
or a TV show they're keeping up with. So if
(03:11):
you're into that world, definitely check them out. They're worth
watching subscribing to as well on the channel, and you
can also listen on podcasts. Just go find whichever show
you want to listen to or all three and go subscribe,
find us there hit a review, like all that stuff.
(03:32):
It helps us out until then, I guess let's go
ahead and get started. Mark, just general thoughts before we
kind of get into I guess, breaking things down and whatnot.
What did you think of the Xbox Game Showcase for
twenty twenty five?
Speaker 2 (03:53):
That is mostly okay. I think the Sony one is
like going to a more high profile game. It was
like a little more exciting.
Speaker 1 (04:02):
Ah.
Speaker 3 (04:04):
But this had a lot of good.
Speaker 2 (04:05):
Stuff in it more or less, except I really hated
how they did everything, like the stupid like world premiere,
you know, after every basically every damn trailer or before
every trailer, and then them having to pound it in
your head like this is get it on game pass suckers.
Speaker 3 (04:25):
Like they shouldn't have said that, you know.
Speaker 1 (04:29):
Yeah, that would have really brought the uh the went home.
Just say it just like that, you know. Uh yeah.
Speaker 3 (04:37):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (04:38):
There were like at least four or five interesting looking games,
so sure, yeah.
Speaker 1 (04:44):
We'll get into those here when we finished, yeah, wrapping
up the the discussion on the showcase. So they started
off with the Outer Worlds, which we knew was going
to be the direct focus that was held at the end.
Speaker 2 (05:01):
Is it funny to you or to anyone else except
for me that you know the Outer Worlds too was
predicated on my capitalism is bad or a creed as bad? Yes,
and that this is the first eighty dollars Xbox game.
Speaker 1 (05:14):
I really don't think this is doing them any favors,
especially because you know, there are people that really liked Avowed,
but there's I think there was a lot more of
a crowd that kind of thought it was just okay
or great for game Pass, but maybe not something they
want to go and buy, even though it did do
decently well, you know, sales wise and it's still not
(05:35):
on PlayStation, so we'll see if if it does wind
up going over there before the end of this year,
what happens on that front. But honestly, yeah, it to
me that was kind of the biggest downer because I
get it that they're, you know, they're proud of the game,
and it's bigger, and they put in a lot more
(05:58):
good stuff into it, and you know, maybe not as
much as you know, the Exile game that you know,
we'll get to in a little bit, but I thought
the direct that they showed afterwards highlighted a lot of
great things about the game. I was much more interested
in it than I was to start out with. And
then you dropped the eighty dollars price thing, and it's
(06:20):
just kind of like, O, man, look, I'm going to
play it on game Pass, so it doesn't affect me,
but anybody that's on the PlayStation and divid or Steam
that you know, those are two ecosystems that you know,
Xbox hoighly values and you're you're kind of like telling them,
all right, you're gonna pay eighty bucks for this thing.
I don't know why, you know, you have the premium
(06:42):
game to start that out with, which is call of
duty to kind of be able to judge whether this
is going to work out well for you or not.
I don't think Out of Worlds Too was a great
test case for this. But yeah, and did you watch
anything outside of that initial trailer for out a World
two or.
Speaker 2 (06:59):
Yeah, because you know it's more of the same, Like,
I'm sure they'll have more crap, but the first one
that's kind of good.
Speaker 3 (07:07):
You know, don't give the sec on the show. Once
it goes on sale.
Speaker 1 (07:10):
Fair enough, fair enough. Then they they shut off High
on Life too, which that was kind of a surprise.
I don't think a lot of people were thinking that
that was gonna get shown off so quickly. And then
that's got game passes. It's interesting they did do that.
I kind of understand why they did the game pass
things sort of twice because now they turn it into
this like small little icon that's on the screen.
Speaker 3 (07:33):
Yeah, and then.
Speaker 1 (07:35):
Aside from that, it's just oh, now we got a
blast in your face that it's on game pass as well.
But sometimes it's like sometimes they do it at the beginning,
sometimes they do it at the end. It's kind of like,
I don't know why we're not just putting it in
the same spoty time instead of like just or.
Speaker 3 (07:53):
Just announce it at the start and that's that be it,
you know, Like.
Speaker 1 (07:57):
Yeah, that's what I'm saying, Like have it in the
same place every time when you're doing the world premiere
thing or or you know.
Speaker 2 (08:05):
I just like, I just feel like at the start
of the showcase, like everything everything we've shown it on
Game Pass done.
Speaker 1 (08:12):
Well, that's because not everything was on Game Pass.
Speaker 2 (08:14):
That's why they had to Okay, But then I have
a special thing at the end on like these four
games aren't on game Pass, buy them.
Speaker 1 (08:21):
Yeah, I kind of understand it, but I just I'm
just saying, at least pick a spot, right like you're
gonna put the it's Xbox Play anywhere or whatever at
the beginning of each promotion, just put that the game
passes there as well if it is. If it's not,
then just don't include it or whatever. But it's it
(08:41):
was kind of annoying to have that just constantly. It
felt like we had to throw it in there, you know,
in different parts, and it was just kind of all
over the place at that point with that.
Speaker 2 (08:53):
But I was pretty surprised at that high in life
for two trailer, uh two things. One they made in
the first plays, so I was like, I thought this
game didn't do well.
Speaker 1 (09:04):
No, I mean, at least for game Pass it did
really well. It was like the most talked about thing
on game Pass for a while when at first.
Speaker 2 (09:12):
But then also like that trailer, like I had music
and time effects and stuff, but it was incredibly quiet,
like there was no voice acting at all.
Speaker 1 (09:23):
Yeah, that's kind of one of the hooks of that
game is the yeah.
Speaker 2 (09:26):
Well, I mean then I didn't get that justin Rowland
Guy back obviously, but like, yeah, I thought it's been
a lotn't to say the first one.
Speaker 3 (09:33):
I was like, didn't everything talking this game or you know, the.
Speaker 1 (09:36):
Well it was the gun. It was the gun. Yeah,
mostly that would.
Speaker 3 (09:39):
Talk, right, And now that's all gone.
Speaker 1 (09:41):
It looked like, yeah, all right, maybe they're still figuring
that out, like who's going to do the voice acting
stuff there, or they didn't want to make that kind
of a talking point.
Speaker 2 (09:53):
I'm going to try to figure out how to get
Chris Prett to vote towice every.
Speaker 1 (09:56):
Gun right U Yeah, man, uh, hey, that was a
good surprise. It's nice that it's there. Let's see if
iyle my two does.
Speaker 3 (10:09):
I mean, did you play the first one or doesn't seem.
Speaker 1 (10:11):
Like I've played some of it. I've played some of
it on game Pass, but it's not kind of like
not my game, so right, you know it is it
is what it is on that they I'm not always
going to go in order here, so just to be aware.
I the one thing that surprised me and I love
(10:33):
the crap out of it is we're celebrating super meat
Boy by having it be in three D and it's
gonna come out early twenty twenty six. One of the
first Xbox Slave Arcade games. I love seeing that. That
was cool.
Speaker 3 (10:48):
Yeah, I didn't.
Speaker 2 (10:50):
I don't didn't like was the the pipe at the start?
Speaker 1 (10:57):
Oh yeah? I was kind of like, Okay, what I know?
This is not Mario, So it's like, what are we
we're doing here? But I mean, I guess nice for
them to you know, be able to have fun with it.
Speaker 2 (11:13):
It'll be interesting, I mean that time everything it'll be
it'll be kind of interesting to see if they do.
It'd be cool if they did like platform specific characters
or like take characters.
Speaker 1 (11:25):
Yeah, yeah, interesting if they will do that I don't know,
I mean they could.
Speaker 2 (11:31):
Yeah, It's like, you know, like imagine playing that came
with Astrobot.
Speaker 1 (11:36):
That'd be awesome, right, Definitely would you buy you know
if I'm a PlayStation andready buying it if you get
to play with Astrobot. But you know, I mean, I'm
I'm just it's like, it was awesome just to see
how well they brought that into three D. Yeah, and
you know, I'm excited to This is one of the
(11:57):
ones that kind of was like, oh wow, big surprise,
and I'm out to play this when it does come out.
So for sure they hit that one. And you know,
because not a lot of the surprises were I think
what people were expecting. It's certainly in the all right,
this is definitely like double a game kind of thing.
(12:19):
Not something that I was not me particularly, but I'm
just saying people in general.
Speaker 3 (12:26):
That Solo Leveling arise thing.
Speaker 1 (12:30):
It's like, yep, yeah, well that that one. I can
kind of understand. Solow Leveling is perhaps the biggest anime
right now of the newest ones that just want anime,
the different crunchy roles, so you know, why not. But
also the U.
Speaker 2 (12:44):
I legitately thought like a that just invented it for
like some stupid gag, or it's.
Speaker 1 (12:48):
Just no, no, it's it's had two seasons now. It's
one of the biggest anime out there. The the x
Witch or three devs including their creative director is there
for that lot of Don Walker that.
Speaker 3 (13:04):
Looked rough.
Speaker 2 (13:05):
I thought, like, I guess the idea isn't terrible, but
it looked like it looked like oblivion.
Speaker 3 (13:11):
And I don't mean the new one. I mean like
the old.
Speaker 1 (13:13):
One fair enough. Yeah, that's what I meant by They
definitely have some weird ones in here. That's kind of like, Okay,
it wasn't expecting that at all. I don't think i've
but sure, you know. Another one was the uh, the
(13:33):
game Freak game, which you know, people were sitting there going,
oh wow, game Freaks. Not the guys they've made. I
don't know how many games that are not Pokemon. It's
gotta go look up there their development like you know,
it's it's it's this is not the company that got
him out of Pokemon jail or whatever. It's. I mean,
(13:56):
they they've been making and this one actually looked really
I thought it looked good. I mean, sure, you know,
another kind of dark souls ish thing. But yep, still
like the Beast of re Incarnation or whatever. I'll definitely
want to see more of it.
Speaker 3 (14:18):
Right.
Speaker 1 (14:19):
One of the highlights of the show, perhaps maybe a
lot of people's game of the show really is Clock
of Revolution, which is got shown off by an exile
I think like a few years ago, and it looked
cool then, and then they gave this about like five minutes, right.
Speaker 2 (14:37):
And then they still then like say when it's coming out,
which that was funny.
Speaker 1 (14:42):
Yeah, that was really interesting because I was just kind
of like, Okay, surely that means this has a release date, right, right?
Speaker 2 (14:49):
If that definitely looks like one of the things that
was more done than some of the other stuff they
show and or you know, any of this stuff that
actually has a date so.
Speaker 1 (14:58):
Well, because normally when you do a trailer that long, right,
because you're going to give us a release state at
the end.
Speaker 3 (15:06):
I'm like a certain other game we'll talk about in
a few minutes.
Speaker 1 (15:10):
That's kind of like all right, uh yeah, right, that
that was awesome. I will say that like I'm not
you know, the western RPG person, but I love the
look of that game and I love the fact that
they just keep hitting you with like cool stuff about
(15:33):
it constantly.
Speaker 3 (15:35):
And.
Speaker 2 (15:37):
That Clockwork Revolation game. It's like, for the first four
and a half minutes until they actually showed her like
the name of it, I legitimately thought it was like
the new Bioshot game.
Speaker 1 (15:50):
Oh okay, yeah, oh like you thought it was actually
like okay, but not Judas or whatever.
Speaker 2 (15:54):
But like actual body, no, no, like two k is
making another Bioshot game, right, Yeah, I thought it look
that or it's gonna be some you know, successor to
I mean it looks like Bojak Infinite kind of.
Speaker 1 (16:09):
Yeah. I mean I'm just like, you know, because waste
Sand three was the really I know you liked Wastland three, right.
Speaker 2 (16:14):
Right, Yeah, it's not your type of game or I
mean those aren't your type of like RPGs.
Speaker 1 (16:19):
Right, But I mean like I'm just like, this is
a this is a glow up, Like this is definitely
a team. Yeah, took that Microsoft money and they're making
something awesome out of it.
Speaker 3 (16:29):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (16:30):
It's the same thing as kind of like uh CD
Project Red, like you wouldn't expect based on like The
Witcher and The Witcher two, the Witcher three. You wouldn't
expect them of cyberpunk, but they did and it largely
was good. So yeah, it's the same. It's them trying
something new and it looks good.
Speaker 1 (16:49):
Yeah, definitely. This was one of the highlights in of school.
Is just kind of and this one didn't even say
twenty twenty six or anything. It just said right in
due time. So it's like, well, okay, I know which
to be fair with If all of the big four
that Phil gave out at the end of the showcase
(17:10):
really do come out in twenty twenty six, I mean,
that's a lot and you may not need this game
to come out until twenty twenty seven or whatnot. So
I'm good if they're gonna let this cook a while
to make sure it's it's good, you know. So Another
(17:33):
thing is also they showed the next Plaguetail game that
was kind of a surprise in here too, which I
love the first game. The second one I wasn't that
as much of a fan of. There's some people that
really love the second one too. I don't know if
you've did you play the at least the first one.
Speaker 3 (17:55):
No, I don't play ither one.
Speaker 1 (17:56):
Okay, Well, this is on game Pass again. They TEAMUSA
always seems to It's kind of like, don't not they
have definitely have fans and whoever makes the decisions for
the what gets on game pass, But this looks really cool.
It's apparently a prequel, so there's no rats or whatever
in this, but at least we're taking Sophia to a
(18:18):
different locale here. And that looked great. What is uh
something that like stood out to you that we haven't
talked about yet?
Speaker 3 (18:31):
Uh that a game might be cool?
Speaker 1 (18:35):
Okay? Yeah?
Speaker 2 (18:37):
Yeah, oh see, like it looked a lot more action
packed in their past decade of stuff. It reminded me,
I mean, not combat or anything, but runding me they
didn't remember me game, which I liked. Yeah, so yeah,
hopefully that's cool. What else twenty three and four? You
(19:00):
know that's dubout real soon obviously.
Speaker 3 (19:03):
Ah yeah, big one. Do you laugh at all for
that Invincible versus or vs. Game?
Speaker 1 (19:14):
That's one of those like I always mean to watch
Invincible and I just don't get around to it.
Speaker 2 (19:19):
So like the game, they looked fine, but like they
had that like stop motion kind of intro, right, and
then the various conspicuous sound and fight that sounded like
Mortal Kombat announcer dude, like, right, yeah, I got that
musical game look interesting.
Speaker 3 (19:39):
But I don't I don't know if actually like the music.
I actually like more of the cleaning up part of
the talent thing. I think it was. There are no
ghosts at the Grand.
Speaker 1 (19:48):
Yes, the Grand I thought about you. It's just like
Mark's probably gonna like this thing of this kind of seems.
Speaker 3 (19:53):
Like, well, I'll like half and then the ends up
like the other half. So h. I mean, it wasn't
that huge a surprise, but that Persona.
Speaker 1 (20:03):
Four revival, they did not show a lot of that.
Speaker 3 (20:08):
Yeah, they showed all twenty seconds and.
Speaker 1 (20:11):
Like it's nowhere. It feels like it's nowhere near as
ready as Persona they reload was I imagine.
Speaker 2 (20:18):
I mean, I think the voice actors out of them
a little, but I still think, like I would say,
even more than Persona three, Like if they can't, if
they if they can't get some of those people back,
that's one thing, but the fact they're you know, wholesalery
replacing everyone that leaves a really sour taste in my mouth,
especially since like some of those actors clearly like the
(20:39):
characters or would come back if they could, right, Yeah,
the two stupid online you know for the Ring Service.
Speaker 1 (20:48):
Well yeah, I mean they're gonna definitely talk about CIS
follow seventy six elder strolls online like those are their games, and.
Speaker 3 (20:55):
They after got the third one.
Speaker 1 (20:56):
But yeah, I mean they do well, so.
Speaker 3 (21:00):
All right, Yeah, I thought it was that's about it.
I don't know.
Speaker 2 (21:03):
I'm actually kind of excited for Gears of War reloaded.
I still like that one the most. I still like
Gears one the best, so yeah, fan and Final Fantasy sixteen.
Speaker 1 (21:18):
No, I will not. I'm good. I bought those already,
so but yes, they're finally on Xbox. If you were
a Fall Fantasy sixteen and waiting for remake to show
up on Xbox, they are there officially. Now sixteen is
out right now.
Speaker 3 (21:34):
You can It's like I joked to you online.
Speaker 2 (21:38):
It's nice to see that Black Blackmith Lucong got those
technical delays worked out and it only took.
Speaker 3 (21:43):
Them a year.
Speaker 1 (21:44):
Yeah, House House, you know, a year to the day,
exactly a year? YEA, how convenient. Whatever, just announced that
you have a exclusivity deal and stop hiding behind right
and anym and or whatever. But I get it. You know,
you don't want people hate Donya for console war bs, So.
Speaker 3 (22:09):
Yeah, I better a lot of them instead.
Speaker 1 (22:12):
Yeah, Ninja gott and four got a release date October twenty.
Speaker 3 (22:15):
First, Yeah, sooner than I thought.
Speaker 1 (22:18):
Yeah, I thought it would be their November game or whatever.
Speaker 3 (22:23):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (22:25):
But also I mean, like they don't really have you know,
I thought Navy Gears E day. I thought maybe, you know,
Fable was probably supposed to be in that spot, and.
Speaker 2 (22:36):
I thought it was incredibly inconspicuous that there were certain
games missing that Mike should be there.
Speaker 1 (22:46):
It felt like outside of the Sarah Bamba one, which
was over, but I felt like the Matt Booty and
Phil Spencer like appearances were kind of like taking spots
that like were meant for games, especially the Matt Booty
one where he's just like repea eating what Syrupan already said,
and it's like, why is this in here at all?
(23:07):
You know, like we couldn't find a way to make
this five minutes shorter. It had to last that long
no matter what, you know, it's I don't I don't
get that. Also, Shout Out the Planet of Lana two
had no idea that that was even being worked on,
so that's cool and Obsidian bro. They just keep putting
out games like they're also making Grounded too, like all right,
(23:28):
you know, yeah.
Speaker 3 (23:30):
I saw I commented someone post about that on Twitter.
Speaker 2 (23:33):
I think Blue Sky that like they're like the hardest
working developers around. Yeah, and it's like, yeah they I
mean a they probably want to be, or they have
to be, because they don't want to focus all on
one project and then have it bomb or fail and
then had to lay off people. Like it's better to
have three or four irons in the fire and if
one does go bad, it's like, hey, you still got
(23:54):
two or three more to work on or you know,
to hopefully.
Speaker 1 (23:57):
I mean they're also smart, like let's let's be fair,
like they've been working on a Valve for a long
time and then they were able to kind of stagger
it out and then do Out of Worlds too, and
then we need that one kind of got announced a
few years ago and then Grounded to we don't know,
but also out of Worlds too, and Grounded have assets
(24:18):
that they're getting to reuse and things like that, so
it's not like they're starting from the ground up from
all of those, right, So there's that as well, which hey,
I will say, I don't play grounded, but like getting
to mount the ants and stuff like that, that kind
of looks that looks fun.
Speaker 3 (24:39):
I can't find a name of it. That the Lighthouse game.
Speaker 1 (24:43):
Oh the Keeper, Yes, you were hating on uh double fine,
saying they need to really they need to be showing
that game, and here we are. Of course, it has
to be something weird where you're a sentient lighthouse just
platforming and what happened?
Speaker 2 (24:59):
You know, it's gonna really funny though, is at the
end they tied into bow shot?
Speaker 1 (25:05):
Well why would they do that?
Speaker 2 (25:06):
Because book is predicated on there's always a lighthouse and
there's always a girl. There's always there's always a lighthouse.
Speaker 3 (25:13):
I know that.
Speaker 1 (25:14):
So and this is coming out this year to October seventeenth.
I was surprised. This is the one that surprised me, like, oh,
this has a release date. Okay.
Speaker 3 (25:26):
Most of the stuff they showed I had had some
time a release date at least well.
Speaker 1 (25:31):
It had like a release year or something like that,
and this one was just okay, it's coming out this year,
you know.
Speaker 2 (25:38):
So I also can't wait till they sue that a
Nemo game into the into the Ground Nintendo Nintendo.
Speaker 1 (25:45):
Yep, we'll see they didn't. They didn't outright like take
Pokemon designs like Power World did so right. I don't know,
there's there's a lot of those Pokemon likes that are
roaming around, so uh, it feels like Xbox wants to
make sure that they hit lightning twice with that, I mean,
(26:05):
and if it fails, it's whatever. I mean, they got
plenty of other ones in there, but definitely I love
Double Finds games and Keeper looks cool, so I'm excited
for that. I forgot to mention I was showing the
trailer and I didn't mention that. I really I'm a
huge fan of Spirit Fairer and their their next game
at FAY ten looks really cool. So happy to see
(26:28):
that as well. Getting some love the last game that
they showed here, which is really weird because it's like,
if there's one game that you don't that doesn't need
the one more thing treatment, it's Call of Duty. And
also like they normally don't do the same franchise like
(26:50):
Call of Duty back to back like that. Of course,
uh Villo is it? Milo Ventigmolo or yeah, you know, heroes,
this is us. Fame is the main guy here. This
also ties back to like Black Ops two. Apparently they
had me going for a while. I thought maybe this
(27:10):
is like, oh, are we gonna do Control two here
or something? And then after a while I was like, oh, okay,
I get it. It's call of duty. And then I
was like, damn, really we're gonna end on call of duty?
And sure enough that's it. You know, they ended on
call of duty? Right, and any thoughts on on that, like.
Speaker 2 (27:32):
Just now it's unused to take place between sorry after
Black Ops two, look before I think advanced warfare and
who cares? It's getting so commoluted. It's like this is
all the timeline at this point. Uh you know, look, okay,
look theoretically interesting, but we'll see. Like they announced a
(27:58):
few more actors for it, like Karendon and Chipkin or
Chip Cu and Michael Rooker, so that that's always fun.
But yeah, you know, I won't play it because if
that's save me a copy, but you'll go for it,
I guess. But I do think it's weird that they go, yeah,
it's going from Black Oops six to Black Ops seven,
(28:18):
the usual at least one game break somewhere in there exactly,
and maybe maybe maybe they're abandoning the whole like multi.
Speaker 3 (28:29):
Storyline or multi franchise approach.
Speaker 1 (28:33):
Perhaps. Yeah. I thought at first maybe that meant they
were giving it like a break and they're just announcing
it because they had another Call of Duty. But no,
that this is the one that's coming in I'd imagine November.
Speaker 2 (28:44):
Now, yeah, I mean, it certainly seemed like it'll be
announced or coming out this year.
Speaker 1 (28:49):
Yeah. So the only other thing I think is Indiana
Jones got DLC sure, and the Kronos, the new don
on the that next game from Blueber Team, it's gonna
has released Window of Fall five or whatnot. So that's good.
(29:15):
Phil did kind of at the end, right before they
cut to Call of Duty, he mentions that next year
is a twenty fifth anniversary of Xbox and that as
part of that celebration, they're going to have fable for
the Horizon six I presume, Gears E Day and a
(29:38):
franchise that has been with them since the beginning. So
you imagine it's Halo.
Speaker 3 (29:43):
Man, imagine it's gonna be Blood Wake.
Speaker 1 (29:45):
Yeah, and probably the Halo Combat Evolved remake again, So
are they hinting at that's the developer direct next year already?
Because that's four big games right there, and it would
make sense because if you're gonna do Fable, it's the
same studio to Rising six. So I mean that's a
(30:09):
pretty huge slate if you're gonna give the twenty fifth
anniversary to like you're basically your four core franchises. I mean,
how kind of cool how it worked out like that.
Speaker 3 (30:23):
I don't know one or two of them aren't.
Speaker 1 (30:26):
Anniversary, yeah, I mean for us, US definitely like the
thing that's been at least Horizon anyway. I mean, look,
it's it's doing great on PlayStation, you know, Gears is
We'll see what Reloaded does with that, right, going to
Place Stover the first time, you know, but speaking of that,
that go ahead.
Speaker 3 (30:47):
Sorry, I think Reloaded will actually do pretty well.
Speaker 2 (30:49):
But I'm more yeah, I'm more hesitant on E day.
Speaker 1 (30:54):
We'll see, because it's gonna have the same it's a
it's based on the same characters.
Speaker 2 (31:00):
No I know, but it's a pretty coel uh and
it it will be different enough that right some Gears fans,
But I won't like that like they didn't like the
stupid chainsaw bayonet, I mean the sorry the xual bayonet
and that the chainsaw gun thing.
Speaker 1 (31:16):
So yeah, but the perhaps maybe the biggest anounce of
all of them, uh is technically, even though it's not
only theirs, technically new hardware for Xbox in the Xbox
ROG ally or ROG Xbox ally and the ROG Xbox
(31:41):
ally X basically going on, I've got some great names
series and Series X. The X is obviously the b
fear better you know, more advanced version that's black, and
then you have the more regular that's more akin to
(32:01):
like the base Rock ally based seam deck in the
regular Xbox Rock ally thing it does have and they
let people try it out, so there there are firsthand
experiences with this thing. Gears Reloaded was the game that
they used to let people show it off. And also
(32:22):
Sarah Vaughn mentioned Silk Song in here that it will
be available at launch with the system, although Team Cherry
didn't come out and be like it's not only launching
on the ally, it's said that they're getting to promote
that it's going to be available at launched when you
(32:43):
buy the system. There are no there's not a price,
particularly with it right now. The rumor is that they're
going to follow pretty much the same pricing of the
rock Ally that's out there now, so an where from
six point fifty to seven hundred ish for the regular
(33:04):
and then somewhere between eight one hundred to nine hundred
for the rock Ally X Xbox rog Alli X. It
also has an OS that has it's basically built for
gaming from the Windows side of things, so it boots
right into the Xbox App essentially without having all of
(33:29):
the other fluff. The rock Ally right now will boot
you into Windows and then you have to go and
go to the app that you want to use. This
actually keeps you in the Xbox app and you can
go while you're in that app. You can basically have
a whole hub of all of your games, regardless of
what store you have them on, and just play them
(33:54):
right off that app. So if you're playing something on Steam,
you don't have to go to Steam to play it.
You can boot it from there and it will play.
So that is something that I think for a lot
of people that are you know, maybe have a bunch
of different storefronts and you want to buy this thing,
and you want the gaming background and the gaming hub.
(34:16):
I think that's awesome. And it also cuts out all
the fluff that Windows will load in the background as
well while when you're playing this thing, so you're not
having it run a bunch of crap that you don't need,
and you don't have to go manually turn the stuff
off either, which that's really good too. I think that's
that's something that you know people hate about the rog
(34:37):
Ally right now, is that that's an issue with that thing,
is that it will run a bunch of stuff you
don't need. The x has that rise in AI Z
two extream processor has a ten ADP screen, twenty four
gigabytes a RAM of one turbyte storage. The regular one
has the five to twelve storage with a sixty wide
(34:59):
bad it's still it's to really it has it's an
ADP screen, but it's really built for like seven twenty.
And then the rog Ally exos a little bit heavier,
but apparently it doesn't feel heavy. And the best thing
that I've seen everybody say is that it feels like
you're holding an Xbox controller when you're holding it, and
it does feel different from the regular rog Ally, so
(35:24):
that's cool. I don't know it. What do you think
of me if it's nine hundred dollars, I don't think.
I'm definitely not going to especially because that's half the
price of getting a new laptop, and it's I definitely
need a new laptop more than I need to have
this thing. I'd love to have this thing, but it's like,
you know, that's just too much money. Somebody wants to
(35:46):
buy it for me for Christmas or a birthday or
combination of both. I'm down for that, but I don't
think I would go and buy it myself when I
desperately want a new laptop more than this. So yeah,
that's that's not gonna happen. Keith will get that before
me or somebody else that aving team. So I mean, like,
(36:11):
I don't know, what do you think of this thing?
Speaker 2 (36:17):
I don't know, it might be cool or you know,
from the people that care about it. What was the
one that had problems? Wasn't it the Rock ally.
Speaker 1 (36:27):
Rock ally the Launch rog ally had issues?
Speaker 2 (36:29):
Yeah, yeah, let's see if they iron though.
Speaker 1 (36:35):
Well, I think definitely, And I mean it has some
of the best specs of any of the handhelds, at
least the ally X does, right, So that's a plus
right there. You're gonna get the best version of that
that's on the market. The problem is that within a year,
whether it's Valve or Lenovo or even Rog themselves, will
(36:56):
come out with something that's perhaps better, and then you know, yeah, so, I.
Speaker 2 (37:01):
Mean, I wouldn't care about Lenovo, but I'd be more
worried about Valves the Steam Deck two.
Speaker 1 (37:08):
Yeah, I wonder how long they're gonna wait on that.
Obviously Valve, doesn't you know everybody. I've been seeing a
lot of people talking about, oh, well, this can't compete
with switch To. It's like, I don't think anybody's trying
to compete with switch To. They're not going to be
able to compete with switch Too. On that front. ROG
partnering with Xbox maybe helps with that because what Xbox
(37:33):
is doing also as part of this is if they're
going to turn every game in your library into an
Xbox PC game now, so you'll have access to your
entire library. I don't know if that means also your
dis BASD like three sixty an Xbox Original games or whatever.
If they'll give you like a digital.
Speaker 3 (37:53):
Not necessary sell you a disc rise I mean HOMEO.
Speaker 1 (37:56):
Well, no, but I mean it's like they could, since
you have proof that you own it, they could perhaps
give you like a digital part of that on the
storefront or whatnot, so you can use it on the handheld.
I don't know how that's gonna work, but they not.
Speaker 3 (38:15):
That's you're talking about a fantasy that's never gonna happen.
Speaker 1 (38:20):
But either way, the whole point is that they want
backwards campability to work. They want all of your games
to move forward to that thing, whether you own them
on Xbox or you own them on the PC. They're
gonna essentially try to make those all Xbox PC games. Obviously,
if you own on another storefront, you obviously have to
make that storefront work with the system, and then you
can you know, they didn't name them, but obviously we
(38:43):
know which ones are talking about, and they are apparently
the people that were doing demos said that they wanted
all the feedback possible and that they are well aware
that you know, Steam and Valve or eating their lunch
as far as what the Steam deck provides. So yeah,
you know, I think this definitely could be something for Xbox.
(39:03):
The problem is the price is going to price out
a lot of people with the way that the economy
is right now, you're already getting people that don't want
to buy an Xbox the console.
Speaker 2 (39:14):
You're going to raise the price on the Xbox.
Speaker 1 (39:18):
Yeah, but then you're going to tell them that this
handheld that yes, I know, it's a computer that you're
holding in your hand and all that stuff, and that
does account for something. But it's like, you know, three
hundred more dollars than the Xbox Series X or whatever,
So that's not chump change. That's a lot for somebody
(39:39):
to consider. I just I think I really wonder, like,
is this really only for people that don't have a
handheld at all? And you're looking to go, oh, let
me go ahead and get the best one. This is
the best one with a really cool O wes to
mix everything work together. Okay, cool. How does this branch
out into the eventual console that they want to make?
(39:59):
That's what I I want to see as well. Does
this mean that they never if this does well, do
they not ever come out with the actual proprietary Xbox
version of this, you know? Or does this eventually just okay,
they use this their proving ground to see what happens,
and then they eventually do come out with the actual
proprietary Xbox One. You know, I do think that that
(40:26):
OS will find its way to other things. I think
they've already talked about they're going to try to bring
it to other Windows handhelds, so, you know, trying to
give steam os a run for its money there. They
definitely know that they got their work cut out for
them there if they don't get this to work.
Speaker 3 (40:44):
So I still have a ton of faith.
Speaker 2 (40:47):
Like I think a gaming handheld is one thing, but
Windows is so far like such as such a negative
connotation these days that it's hard for like PC makers
to you like, use it or you know, like to
be all gung ho about it.
Speaker 1 (41:03):
You know, what, do you think the price is gonna
gonna land on it? I think they're gonna try to
go as low as possible.
Speaker 3 (41:11):
But you know, I could see for the white one,
the cheaper one being six hundred.
Speaker 1 (41:20):
Yeah, that's what I was. I was.
Speaker 3 (41:23):
I can but for the expensive one, I could see
it probably maybe eight hundred.
Speaker 1 (41:28):
Yeah, I can see that as well, And that's what
my prices we're gonna go to at six hundred and
eight hundred.
Speaker 2 (41:37):
Yeah, they've toiget this off and on the past, but
they should released a subsidized model where you know, you
have to say, stay subscribed to game Pass for like
three years, but you get it for like two hundred dollars.
Speaker 1 (41:50):
I mean you could technically do that with the firm,
so like you could just pay it in six months
and pay like what one a month through something or once.
Speaker 2 (42:01):
Yeah, like some people still came and swing that, so
if it was just like twenty bucks a month for
three years.
Speaker 1 (42:10):
They did that with what was it the Xbox series
X and S, and I don't think that that worked
out that well because the retailers wanted nothing to do
with it. It's so convoluted, right, So but we'll see.
I mean, if it's all online, I could definitely see
them doing the like paying for and doing a firm
(42:30):
and stuff like that with it. But I don't know
that Xbox wants to get involved with that. Technically, if
you do the whole year thing, you'd pay what like
sixty bucks or something. Yeah, not that bad. Yeah, but
that's the whole Xbox showcase. We'll see. They said the
(42:51):
fall twenty twenty five somewhere for this. We'll see how
well this does, you know, especially with switch to being
out there will that you know, it being almost double
the price of the switch to and people were talking
somewhat smack about that thing costing what it does. Is
there going to be a backlash on the price for
(43:12):
this or people are just gonna accept that? Hey, no,
you know.
Speaker 2 (43:16):
There won't be a back backlash for two reasons. One,
I don't this is going to be like a mass
market appeal device.
Speaker 3 (43:25):
Yeah uh.
Speaker 2 (43:27):
And two like, this isn't gonna be like it'll be
in like a best Buy maybe, but it's not gonna
be in like tons of stores.
Speaker 3 (43:34):
It's just gonna be online.
Speaker 2 (43:36):
And you know micro Center will have one probably and
that's about it. Yeah, Like, I mean you can't. I
don't think any of this crack. You can actually just
buy in a store except for maybe a PS portal
PS portal, Yeah you can, but it's not like if
you going to want wal Mart and not gonna see
a wrong ally on the shelf.
Speaker 1 (43:59):
No. I think best best Buy doesn't sell them.
Speaker 2 (44:03):
I imagine if they do, it's only online, Like I
doubt they would have been in a store.
Speaker 1 (44:10):
All right, Yeah, I mean I haven't been into a
store that's not Walmart in a long time.
Speaker 2 (44:14):
So I was in the Best Buy like last week
and it was depressing, or like four days ago it
was depressing as well.
Speaker 3 (44:19):
So they were selling barbecues.
Speaker 1 (44:23):
I'm like, yep, it's the song. I mean, I've seen
them be selling like I remember when air fires first
became a big thing, they were selling those. Yeah, they
still washing the scenes and all that.
Speaker 2 (44:34):
You know, Hey, at least it was like you like
I wouldn't say gadgets, but.
Speaker 3 (44:41):
Like powered you know.
Speaker 1 (44:44):
Yeah, air friers are useful for a lot of things, right,
but uh, you know who's also doing a showcase Konami
technically too. It's it's supposed to be most the middle
gir Solid Delta and Son Hill Fight. But they do
(45:05):
have other games that they're gonna show with this thing.
It's supposed to be thirty seven minutes.
Speaker 2 (45:10):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (45:10):
They already released one game this year, the Deliver at
All Costs, that came out like a couple of weeks ago.
So I wonder if it's just like a couple of
indies and then these two games are, well, they have surprises,
I hope, So anything you maybe.
Speaker 3 (45:29):
No, that's not going to happen, And if it is,
it's going to be a disaster.
Speaker 1 (45:33):
So it's.
Speaker 2 (45:36):
Conally is such a like shell of a company at
this point that I'm honestly surprised I'm making that middle
Gear game.
Speaker 1 (45:45):
I figured they had had to at some point.
Speaker 2 (45:48):
I mean, if they announced, if they legitimately announced, like
a Medaga Solid Volume two, the Head Solid four on it.
Speaker 1 (45:54):
Yeah, I'm surprised that hasn't been announced, that I didn't
get announced, that somebody's showcased or what ever too, you know, considering.
Speaker 2 (46:02):
But I imagine there's still a lot of I imagine even though
it's like a decade old, there's still a lot of
bad blood between Konami and Kajima.
Speaker 3 (46:09):
So you give me that's technically possible. I still don't
see it happening.
Speaker 2 (46:15):
Yeah, you know, I want that game, and I also
want the bad GameCube Medica Solid one that you know instances, Yeah,
twins naggs.
Speaker 1 (46:30):
I bet they put those in there. I think like,
if you're going to say that's a collection, you're going
to put put all of those in there. I feel like,
you know, just give everybody the opportunity to have all of.
Speaker 3 (46:40):
Them get portable ops and Acid one and two in there.
Speaker 1 (46:45):
Definitely those got to be in there.
Speaker 3 (46:47):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (46:50):
Another thing that was interesting was, you know, it leads
me really to believe that, like Nintendo has to have
something coming because man, all these showcases and I think
I only saw like five switch To logos.
Speaker 3 (47:10):
I saw a lot more during the Xbox One.
Speaker 1 (47:14):
Did they Okay? I didn't see Okay.
Speaker 2 (47:17):
I saw at lates like seven or eight. You know,
I was like, yeah, Super Me Boy three D is
going to be on the switch too. Yeah, or you
know some of the like twenty Hawks, two, three, and four.
Speaker 1 (47:29):
I'd imagine that that probably were getting a direct pretty soon. Maybe,
you know, I know there's rumors that it's gonna be
this week, which they could do that they've been They've
done that at many time where they announced it like
randomly on Tuesday and they go on Thursday, get ready
for forty minutes of whatever. And a lot of these
games that we didn't know we're coming to switch to,
all of a sudden, here they are, like Call of
(47:50):
Duty's won. It's like it's announced for everything, even the
old consoles, Like you have to imagine it's going to
be on switch To. They signed that deal with Nintendo.
I mean, but it's also that's a pretty big one
to announce that you're direct right, like be like, oh,
we're finally bringing Call of Duty back, So.
Speaker 3 (48:07):
I could see.
Speaker 2 (48:07):
I I envisioned over hit Twitch too, but I don't
know it be gain date because who knows when they
got Yeah that.
Speaker 1 (48:13):
I could, I could see like it's coming later or
you know, because the other ones they already have the
base on there. They haven't made a Nintendo Call of
Duty a long time, so they got to get that.
Speaker 2 (48:24):
They got to save it from Xbox format to be
it to switch to format. That takes but a good
day and a half.
Speaker 1 (48:33):
For sure. Yeah, we'll see if we get any more showcases,
you know, aside from the Konami one that's like randomly
happening on Thursday, h before we get out of that
legend of Zella. The movie has been delayed on May
seventh or twenty seventh, twenty twenty seven, so yeah, coming
out a little bit later. I guess they get more
(48:54):
time to make that movie. That's good. Yeah, uh but
all right, I mean you've been playing speaking and one
into a sub.
Speaker 3 (49:04):
Master well before one.
Speaker 2 (49:08):
Direct thing and that direct but just from the from
the convention, from the press release side of things or
press conference aside. Did it feel weird to you that
both Ubisoft and EA basically showed nothing?
Speaker 1 (49:23):
No, because what do they have to show?
Speaker 2 (49:27):
I mean, something would be good, Like I'm not gonna
say I guess my point is, like I'm not going
to say that, Like the health of a of a
company is based on how many trailers you show. But
if you don't show anything, it kind of makes it
seem like you got I mean, you got nothing, and
(49:47):
that's probably true, but it's still not a good a
good look.
Speaker 1 (49:52):
Well, you self delayed everything internally. They didn't announce which
gains are delayed, but they pretty much delayed everything and
said there's no un Soft forward, So that pretty much
meant they weren't going to show anything in anybody else's showcase.
U saws pretty kind of they keep they they do something,
they do throw Xbox or position games here and there,
but they do like to have a lot of their
(50:13):
stuff in that those forwards or whatever. Yeah, Ea, I
mean what do they have besides the three sports games?
Speaker 2 (50:23):
I mean, yeah, you're kind of saying my point though,
like they got nothing or they got I.
Speaker 1 (50:29):
Mean they already has fiction come out and like after that.
It's like they already did the Star Wars strategy game,
so unless they had something to reveal for Jedi Survivor three.
Speaker 3 (50:41):
And a.
Speaker 2 (50:45):
Split fiction with like Mario and Princess Mario and Luigi
cassume for Thewitch too.
Speaker 1 (50:51):
Yeah, we're bringing these to swip fiction. Let's see that, right. Yeah,
it is kind of weird, to be fair, but that's
kind of where those two companies are right now. Yeah,
kind of in a bunch of limbo canceling things or
delayed things or whatnot. Yep, you got any other other
games sad to your favorites list there?
Speaker 2 (51:13):
Not really, I mean the two from the Xbox one were, ah,
I can't remember the Clockwork game or Clockwork and uh
damn it Persona four but four is so I would
you know who knows? Uh, we'll see. I actually thought like,
(51:39):
I mean, it's next Lines by Tony Hawk, quick decent.
Speaker 1 (51:43):
Yeah, but they definitely didn't show that much of it
because you.
Speaker 2 (51:47):
Know, and and Po three D I mean Ceperly for
three D and Clockwork Revolution will playing my two two
games of that thing.
Speaker 1 (51:56):
Yeah, I mean Tony Hawk also is a demo you
can play right now, right, Well, there's there's that Superman
Boy for me for sure, Keeper At Hates and and
you know Fall Fantasy finally coming Xbox. That's pretty awesome.
I mean, at least the two the two big games
that we're missing, sixteen and and the seven series. That's
(52:20):
great that it's finally there. We could stop speculating every
single freaking Xbox thing. Is this going to be? Where
they show it? You know, so it's there. You can
go play sixteen right now. They had oh god, I
kind of think it was a name. Ben Starr do
a video right where he's the voice after Preventedicta is
(52:46):
also there with him, and they're sitting on top of
a series X and they're kind of like going over
the whole big features of the game or whatever, which
is kind of it was fun to watch them do that.
But yeah, you've been playing speaking and one of two
h TV master what do you yep?
Speaker 2 (53:06):
First time playing speaking in whatever? H It's interesting. It's
pretty archaic. Uh, it's also kind of short, like it's
something about I mean, I didn't I got one hundred percent.
I was only it was less than thirty hours long,
maybe twenty five, and I played on the card mood two.
Speaker 1 (53:25):
Oh really, okay.
Speaker 2 (53:26):
There are some trophies. It's not even that hard. I
mean I only only died twice because I was like
for the main character, I kind of over level them,
so that helped quite a bit.
Speaker 3 (53:39):
Yo.
Speaker 2 (53:40):
That is a I mean you can tell it's an
old ass RPG though, because every character has their own
separate inventory. Yeah, there's no party inventory.
Speaker 1 (53:51):
That's the way ran Quest three HD two D.
Speaker 2 (53:54):
Yeah, RPGs of that era are like that, or you know,
even like but even like Mario RPG isn't like that,
like or like no, no, that's bullshit.
Speaker 1 (54:04):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (54:05):
So yeah, it makes like item management or inventory management
really annoying because you know, if you got to try
to find something like an item. There's an item called
the Dragon Incense, which lets you restore a little bit
of health in battle. It's like an infinite use item,
so it's helpful to have, but if you attach it
(54:26):
to someone and then you forget who it has. There
is like a storeroom option where can see everyone's inventory
and then like basically strip them of what they got. Ah,
And that does help quite a bit, but still now
it's not great. Also, I didn't I only played sweaking
in two and well two, three and five. I didn't
(54:46):
know in the first game you only had one room slot.
Oh really, okay, imagine think about like five tens and seven,
like imagine if you only had like one material slot.
Speaker 1 (54:57):
Oh wow, forever.
Speaker 2 (54:59):
And also main character has a story or some characters
have like story or ruins that are just attached to
them permanently, so you can't give them anything else.
Speaker 1 (55:12):
Or you have to like go find them by doing
a special quest, right, something like that too.
Speaker 2 (55:18):
Yeah, And also speaking in one like it doesn't have
it has on one hundred and eight characters like the
Stars of Destiny, but like so many of them are
just like boiler plate or just like generic as hell. Yeah,
like you just find him in a bar and it's
like hey, join up, and they're all right, and then
you never use them in the game.
Speaker 3 (55:35):
Like so yeah, there are a lot of a lot.
Speaker 2 (55:40):
I mean, I don't know if you're gonna go back
to speaking in one Becau, there's a lot of story stuff.
It's like, oh yeah, they uses it like three characters
along with the main character to go in this like
basse or whatever. It's like, no, I haven't used this
one character, like my my main hero is forty eight,
level forty eight and this other character's.
Speaker 3 (55:58):
Level nine.
Speaker 1 (56:00):
Mm hm.
Speaker 2 (56:02):
And like one hit and they're like you have there's
no like there's a party share kind of but like no,
but only like in your party like all your other
characters get passive XP. That'd be too easy.
Speaker 3 (56:14):
Ah, but it's like, yeah, one hit, they're dead. You
also know.
Speaker 2 (56:22):
There's not really a Phoenix down equivalent in the game
or like revival bottle or anything like that. Like once
they're dead, they're dead until you like revive them from
the main menu. Like even if you like heal them
in the in battle, like they're just still unconscious. Like
you get like one one room that can do it,
uh way late in the game. But that's uh, there's
(56:46):
no MP. It's just like the room like as you
get as you level up, you get more magic points,
which kind of elevates the ruins, right, but like okay,
like let's your flame spell.
Speaker 3 (57:00):
You only got like five of them and then that's it.
Speaker 2 (57:02):
They think I go rest at the end to get
more to like recharge them.
Speaker 3 (57:08):
Ah, So yeah it is interesting.
Speaker 2 (57:15):
Yeah, yeah, I thought I thought like one hundred one
guide or walked through, so it made it really easy.
Speaker 3 (57:22):
Uh uh yeah, and then.
Speaker 2 (57:26):
Yeah, I started Speaking in two, and I was like, ah, yes,
everyone there's a party inventory and everyone has actual like
armor slots, and everyone has three room slots.
Speaker 3 (57:40):
How nice.
Speaker 2 (57:44):
Everyone in Speaking in One has it has run inventory
of like I think it's like, I think it's nine slots,
but at least four of them are usually taking up
four or five taken up by like equipment. Sorry, you
know you know you want to you want to have
you know, a chess piece, a home maybe a shield,
(58:05):
and then two accessories, so your your inventory gets bogged on.
Speaker 3 (58:11):
By that crap as well.
Speaker 1 (58:15):
That's the suppoint.
Speaker 3 (58:16):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (58:17):
Also the funny thing about Speaking in One, Uh, money
is a problem in that game, like to yeah, you
have a wallet limit of nine hundred ninety nine, but
like to fully upgrade someone's weapon, it takes like two
hundred grand and if you got if you've got fifty
(58:40):
characters to do that with, which you don't you know
you're gonna do with every character, but you gotta do
with a lot a good chunk of them.
Speaker 3 (58:46):
That adds up.
Speaker 1 (58:48):
Uh.
Speaker 2 (58:48):
There's a mini game, like a gambling mini game that
you do that like breaks the economy basically because you
win in it like eighty percent of the time, so you
got to do that a lot, Like I'm just gonna
go grind out some more more money. But yeah, two,
(59:08):
I'm not too far in that one. But I know
that one a lot better because I guess when I
played back in the day, right exactly, it.
Speaker 3 (59:16):
Looks better and it has a much more adult or
much more interesting storyline because a lot of the characters
in Suakin in one does barely show up, and like
I said, Liker just a.
Speaker 2 (59:27):
Boiler plate like Seaking in two actually has like there
are some characters that are generic, but it's like ten
or fifteen, and then Sweaking in one it's like sixty,
you know, damn.
Speaker 1 (59:42):
But I mean yes, speaking Into is one of the
classics of rbg's like one of the best of all time.
Speaker 2 (59:49):
So yep, it's also the battles and Tweaking in one.
The war battles are pretty easy. I thought, yeah, and
like there's a dueling thing, but it only happened like twice.
I was really surprised because I'm sweaking into it's a
lot more important or there's a lot more of them,
(01:00:09):
at least like seven or eight. But yeah, I liked it,
and I'm happy to have it finished. I can go
back to sweak it.
Speaker 1 (01:00:18):
Into well there you go.
Speaker 3 (01:00:21):
Also, yeah, if.
Speaker 2 (01:00:22):
You do play that game, finish speaking in one because
the main character of Carry carries over to speak it
in two.
Speaker 1 (01:00:28):
Oh okay, that's good to know. Yeah, yeah, I will
definitely do that if I get to it. I mean never,
I want to say never. There's there's probably lolls in
this year where I won't have less way I could
go back to it. You know, anything else you want
(01:00:49):
to talk about before we get to the end here?
Speaker 3 (01:00:54):
Not really?
Speaker 2 (01:00:55):
All right, there's a twist a mettal trailer for season two,
I guess, but.
Speaker 3 (01:01:00):
No, m.
Speaker 1 (01:01:03):
I forgot about that.
Speaker 2 (01:01:05):
Yeah, you're not really much on media anymore. Considering Doctor
Who ended like last week, you don't care.
Speaker 1 (01:01:10):
Well, I heard that was sunny. We're talking about how
bad it was.
Speaker 3 (01:01:15):
Uh, it's bad in different parts.
Speaker 1 (01:01:17):
But yeah, yeah, and uh yeah, we'll see if what
they decided to do with it as far as somebody's
gonna be uh yeah, exactly. But hey, this is an
interesting week for game releases. You got Dune Awakening, which
(01:01:39):
you could have already started playing if you had the
early access, so I know a few people that already
have Mind's Eye, which you know has been getting a
lot of interesting commentary. Cela comes to PC also on
the eleventh, mine Zion Dune or tomorrow if you're watching
this now five Nights of Fridays, and The Secret Mimic
(01:02:03):
comes out on PlayStation in PC. You got The Altars
that comes to game Pass. That's that survival game that's
like you're like five different people. Yeah, the GEXS Trilogy
comes out in this sixteenth as well. I know you're
looking forward to that ology, right, they should have called
(01:02:24):
it that. And technically this will be on the day
after we do the show again. But also FBC Firebreak
will come into Game Pass and PS Plus on the seventeenth.
So yeah, some some interesting stuff coming this week, some
stuff worth checking out, for sure. I'm definitely gonna check
out The Altars once it hits the thirteenth. If you
(01:02:46):
haven't played Stele Blade, go play that for sure. It's
an awesome game and we'll see reminds I winds up
because interesting that we don't have reviews for that game, right,
And yeah, if you're holding the embargo till like the
morning of usually not great. It's one thing for Nice
(01:03:08):
State Permision to do it where it's like the first
game ever and they're like, you know, super indies or
whatever to this game that's being made by people that
you know, have some clout in the industry. We're talking
about former Grand Theft Auto devs and stuff. So yeah, man,
that's going to be It's.
Speaker 2 (01:03:27):
Always been like a we I mean, I don't know
if it's that guy or not, but it's always been
like the weird like culture with rock Star as well,
like reviews or no, you know, the reviews, so which
is dumb because you think if the game is good,
you want to generate some positive buzz around it.
Speaker 1 (01:03:45):
It's the same thing with the Switch to. It's like
Nintendo basically made sure that everybody got it on the fourth,
but it's not. It's not fast enough to where people
could have reviewed or been able to do a good review.
Let me stuff.
Speaker 3 (01:04:01):
Let me ask you one thing about the switch too.
H do you think they should have delayed a month?
Speaker 1 (01:04:08):
No?
Speaker 3 (01:04:09):
Okay?
Speaker 1 (01:04:09):
Why why delay it for Donkey Kong? I mean it
would have been great to have the one two punch
of Mario Kart and Donkey Kong. I definitely always think
you need it. It should be you should have a
single player option, very much like you have a Breath
of the Wild at launch. But I mean they have
(01:04:32):
a lot of faith in Mark and marcra is a
really really good game. It's just if that's not your bag,
there's really not a whole lot for you. Unless you
are only a switch gameer you haven't played Cyberpunk, or
you haven't played some of these other games or whatever,
then yeah, sure you got a lot to play there.
But for most people that are getting the switch to
as a replacement switch that already have the other consoles
(01:04:56):
or have at least one of the other consoles or
a PC, I mean, yeah, just a thought. You know.
I definitely think I would have loved to have seen
Naki Kunk come out at lunch. I think we would
have had way less complaints about there being nothing to play,
yeah or whatnot. But it is what it is right now.
(01:05:19):
Uh yeah. So that's it for the show this week.
Thank you everybody that watch live or listens later or
watched later. We do appreciate you. Hit that subscribe button,
go leave a review, follow all that stuff that helps
us out we'll be back next week until then, so
(01:05:41):
