for me, for you, and for the world. Well, ladies
and gentlemen, our special guest today is Gary Barve is
(03:22):
an Arizona based singer, author, and creative entrepreneur releasing music
under the name Gary Barvey for USA Presidents. A lover
of American songbook and iconic karaoke classics, he brings a
script down, emotional approach to timeless songs recorded with only
(03:44):
vocals and keys or guitar. His latest release, Unchained Melody,
draws inspiration from legendary performances while expressing his own belief
and ambition, possibility, and emotional honesty through bad Sick. With that,
let's say, welcome friend to Gary. Hey, Hey Gary, welcome
(04:10):
to the show.
Speaker 6 (04:11):
Hey, my friend, Demetrius, how are you. It's a great
honor for me to be on the Vigilantes Radio Live show.
And hey, my friend, I you know, did a little
bit of research about your show, and I know you've
interviewed some incredible Drammy Award winners and some renowned actors
as well, and treade honor for me to be on
your show. My friend, I will say this fantastic introduction
(04:33):
that you gave me earlier on in the previous minute
or so, and the instrumental music that you played at
the interval was fantastic as well, my friend, grade honor
for me, for me to be on your show. And hey,
quick correction, my friend. My first name obviously is Gary.
Last name is barb which pronounced bar ba arve e.
But that's okay. Hopefully I'm getting your name right as well,
(04:54):
my friend Demetrius.
Speaker 2 (04:56):
Yes, yes, man, and my apologies Barve Gary right?
Speaker 6 (05:03):
Man.
Speaker 2 (05:03):
You know Google has a weird way of pronouncing things,
So who blame Google on that?
Speaker 6 (05:12):
Did I get your name right? Demetrius? Right? Am I
saying it right? My friend?
Speaker 2 (05:15):
Yes, it's Demetrious. It's a great name. Yeah, yes, nice, nice, nice?
All right man again, welcome to the show. We're very
excited to have you with us this morning, and I
really appreciate you checking out the show listening to some
previous episodes just to get a feel for what we
do over here at Vigilantes. Man, before we die any further,
(05:41):
what's been on your heart and mind lately?
Speaker 6 (05:44):
Well, that's a fantastic question, you're right, I mean I
was actually this morning. I woke up at about the
five o'clock in the morning, I'm hearing the great Stead
of Arizona, and I said, I'm going to listen to
some of your previous shows as well. And I know
this is one question that you ask always just and
I said, I'm going to prepare for it a little bit.
And you know, I said, for this interview, I'm going
(06:05):
to have to This is like a show based interview,
right and it's my first show based interview. I say
that in my complete humility, and so I said, let
me prepare for this one a little bit. And so,
you know, there's been a lot going on obviously, twenty
twenty five has been a fantastic year for me. I
wish by the way, I wish you, my friend Demetrius,
and everyone listening in live. I know there's probably a
(06:26):
few hundred thousand people listening in life, not just in
the United States of America, but across the world. And
it's a great honor for me to be here. Happy
New Year to everyone. Twenty twenty five was a fantastic
year for me, my friend, and I guess you could
say I'm multitasking obviously, I'm running as my primary objective.
I'm officially running for President of the United States of
(06:46):
America in the twenty twenty eight election. Full disclosure, I'm
obviously a Republican supporter of President Donald Trump. I'm a
believer in Jesus, Rise to the Lord and Savior. And
I know this is not a political interview, so I'm
going to keep my political talk to a bare minimum.
But I love President Trump, and I love our country,
the greatest country in the world, the United States of America.
I love our American people, and I have interviewed with
(07:07):
probably about forty to forty five media networks across the country.
One of the recent interviews that I didn't have, I
think like one million people listening in live, and so
that campaign is going along with a tremendous trajectory. The
goal is to save America. That's my primary main goal.
But obviously this is, like I said, you know, my friend,
the show based interview and really an entertainment music industry,
(07:28):
my music industry interview, and it's my first interview of
this kind, and I'm really excited about it. So look,
music obviously has been a passion of mine for probably
about I would say Demetrius the thirty years and I'm
party one years old. I was born in nineteen eighty
four in Summit, New Jersey, and you know, I love music.
(07:49):
And I never really thought of myself as a professional singer,
but I listened to music a lot, right for like
thirty thirty one year. And you know, one of the
things that I learned from President and from his books,
videos and interviews and also just through self introspection over
the last four or five years, is it's very important.
(08:12):
At least I'll speak for myself my friends, it's very
important to have dreams in life, big positive, productive dreams
in life. And I think the important thing that comes
after that is going after these dreams in demonstrable action
item steps, right, you actually have to move towards your
dreams so that you can now make your dreams into reality.
(08:32):
And so early on in twenty twenty five, I said,
you know, I've been listening to music for a long time.
I think I have a pretty good voice. Let's give
it a try. So I went to this app. I'm
sure you've heard about this app, my friend Demetrius. It's
called the Smule app. Fantastic app like on a phone.
And I turned it on and I said, I'm going
to start recording some music videos just me the Mule app,
(08:55):
no microphone or maybe headphones, and I'm going to sing
the song, and you know I started singing. If you
look at my initial songs that I put out early
on in twenty twenty five, you know, the vocal range
was nowhere near as expanded. I guess you can say
it as it is right now. So I practiced my
music a lot, and I said, you know about I
(09:16):
think it was October of twenty twenty five. I said,
I should go to the recording studio and see if
I can actually publish a song. Let's see what happens.
And you know, I've been listening to a lot of
music artists. Some of my favorite music artists are you
know music sensations Ed Sheeran and Henrique Glecias and Elvis
Presley is my hard time favorite. I call him the
(09:36):
king of music, king of music and the all time
American Legends music legend. Elvis Presley and co player Chris
Martin obviously the lead singer of co Play, And I
sang these songs at the recording studio and published them
one after the other on Apple, Amazon, Spotify, Deezer a
title and released them worldwide. And you know I sank
(09:58):
perfect from it. Sheeran hero from Enrique Galacias can tell
Falling in Love and Unchained Melody from Elvis Presley and
Fix You from cold Play. And you know, I was
a little bit surprised, I guess to a certain extent,
but it saw quite a bit of success. I heard
that the Hollywood superstar Ryan Seacrest actually played my song
(10:20):
on his show in the New York and LA recently.
And you know, music radio stations in Sweden and obviously
the United States of America, Miami Beast Radio and in
Chicago as well. But you know, a lot of countries
have played my song. Hopefully, I'm not coming across as
the pomps guy. I'm not a pompous guy. But the
point is. The point is, you know, I'm really happy
about the music that's come out, and it really has
(10:42):
brought out an artistic side to me. You know, it's
an artistic outlet for me. Right, the political realm can
be a little bit tough from time to time. Right,
the blood sport, as they say, and I want to
serve the country. I love serving the country as a
political candidate. I don't look at myself as a politician.
I'm a patriot and a freedom fighter. But you know,
It's been a fantastic journey for me to go through
(11:02):
this process of recording the music as a complete outsider, right,
and so that's been fantastic for me. That's been on
my mind quite a bit. I also released my first book,
One Nation Undergard on Apple Ebooks and Amazon and Barnes
and Noble. It's a published worldwide as well. This was
in the year twenty twenty five, published I think April
(11:24):
of twenty twenty five, and I think it's a really
nice book. To be really honest, you know, I've been
through a lot of personal challenges in my life, Demetrius,
and I don't know if you've read about it on
my website or anything like that, but I'll quickly share
with you just a little bit of an encouragement, I
guess for especially for our young patriotic American people, also
for our senior patriotic American people. I went through this
(11:47):
is like a decade back, more than a decade back.
About thirteen years back. I was diagnosed with a former
clinical depression related in this and Demetrius, my friend, I
really struggled and battled with this illness for many many years.
I literally saw some really bad, deep dark, horrific times
in my life. And you know, I received a lot
of inspiration from President Trump from my friends, and I
(12:10):
decided to fight back in life, and so I write
about that in my book. I write about the first
time I met President Trump, some social media posts which
I think are really fun and fantastic as well, and
some advice points that I have based upon my time
in the Trump Republican Party as well. And I have
also started working on a perfume and cologne line and
(12:33):
it should be out nationwide sometime in twenty twenty six
early on. I'm thinking I'm going to title it President
trum Gary Barer with the US flag on it, my friend,
and it's going to be I'm calling Get the Luxury
Suite Perfume for women and Strength Colone for men. And
now the last part is something that's happened quite recently
my friend, and I think you'll be excited to hear
(12:54):
about this as well. I have a script. It's a
movie script, and it's a video that I've actually published
on my social media. My friend and I actually visited
Hollywood in the previous week, or I think it was
in this week a few days back, and I'm trying
to get this Hollywood movie started. So I can share
(13:15):
the script with you if you want. It's like a
one two minutes, like the crux of the script. The
entire script is not ready. And I know who I
want to, you know, play in the movie. I'll play
one of the one of the characters in the movie,
and I want a couple of people to play in
the movie as well. And we'll see what happens. But
it's been a fantastic journey for me. And you know,
(13:35):
like I said, I'm pretty excited about my first show
is interview I get and hopefully I'm doing a pretty
good job with it, right Dimitria.
Speaker 2 (13:43):
You're doing a great job Grey hey man, and congratulations
on all of your endeavors. Sounds like an amazing ride
that you're have in right now, from your political run
to just being a creative an author in I don't
know what you call people who create perfumes and colognes,
(14:06):
but that too.
Speaker 6 (14:09):
Well. I mean, I get a little bit of support,
thank you, my friends, thank you man, And I get
a little bit of support from people in each of
these industries, friends and team members, and you know, it's
a team effort. But I certainly do believe that the
person who is leading the initiative, whatever the initiative is,
whether it's a business, whether it's like you know, you're
awesome podcast. You know, I was listening to your show
earlier on early this morning, actually, on one of your shows,
(14:32):
I think you said, you've been doing this podcast for
many years and it's a very successful podcast. But I
think you said when you started off with your podcast,
you know, it was tougher than it is now, because
now you have a fantastic reputation in the show base
and music and entertainment industry, right, and so you know,
I think I think you achieved this because you were
the hardest working member of your team. And I think
(14:55):
in general, like generically speaking, I think for any initiative,
the person who is in charge of the initiative should
be the hardest working member, the most dedicated, dedicated working
member of the team and so. But at the same time,
it is a team effort as well. So I don't
know what you call a perfew and colon manufacturer. I'm
a complete outsider when it comes to most of these
(15:17):
initiatives that are not in the political realm. But you know,
being an outsider can be a great thing as well, right,
my friend, because it allows you to think outside the box. Right,
It gives your creative spirit or your creative juices a
little bit more flexibility because you're not constrained in a
certain box that you have grown up with with or
an environment that you've grown up with within that industry constraint.
(15:39):
You have that flexibility of the mind to think outside
the box in a very creative way. And I think
that helps me in a large way with all these
endeavors as well, my friends.
Speaker 2 (15:49):
Absolutely, man, absolutely, So when people hear your music years
from now, what do you hope it says about belief,
ambition and thinking beyond limits?
Speaker 6 (16:02):
Well, I mean it depends on which songs that I
sing going forward, right, But let me share a quick
story with you. So the Unchained Melody songs, which obviously
you know, Elvis Presley's song is the one that I
heard and I actually, my friend did not even know
that the Righteous Brothers were the one who did that song. Originally,
For me, it was always an Elvis Presley song. I
(16:23):
love Elvis Presley, and the personality that Elvis had on
stage was just so magnetic and energetic and just incredible, right,
and so Unchained Melody when you know, I went to
the recording studio. This was this was the fifth song
that I recorded, the most latest songs that are recorded.
I think it got published December ninth, twenty twenty five,
(16:43):
and I went to the recording studio and obviously the
Elvis Presley version of it is about two minutes and
thirty seconds, right, something like that, right, And I went
to the recording studio and I said, I'm just going
to sing my heart out, right. I had no idea
exactly what you and I'm going to sing in. I
had no real idea what the exact arrangement of the
song would be from a musical arrangement perspective. I went there.
(17:05):
We did like a thirty minute you know, my friend
Dave has a recording studio there, the Wall of Sound
Productions recording study in the Great State of Iowa. I
was in Iowa at that time. I went to the
recording studio. I did a six minute version of the
Elvis Presley incredible song. Unchained Melody, one of my favorite
romantic songs, along with Perfect from It, cheerun Hero from
(17:27):
Endrey Uglecias, and some of the other incredible songs as well.
Obviously can't tell Falling in Love's an incredible song as well.
And so it's the six minute version of the song.
And you know, so obviously it went to production after that,
and a few days later I heard for the first time,
I heard the completed mastered version of Unchained Melody, my version,
the six minute version of the song that was obviously
(17:48):
originally sung by the one and only king of music
and American music legend, Elvis Presley. And I still remember this.
I was sort of leaning against the wall with my
headphones on. The room was dark, and I was just
I closed my eyes and I said, all right, here goes,
let's see what happens, right, and I started making I
played the song, and you know, it initially brought a
(18:11):
lot of happiness and joy to me, but at certain
moments of time in that song, it literally almost got
a tear to my eye. And I said, a song
can bring out this emotion and this, I would say,
completely opposite spectrum of emotions within a six minute time duration.
I think I did a pretty good job with it.
(18:32):
But I think the from a motivation perspective, I think,
not just the lyrics of the You know, that is
the original question, right, my friends, And so from a
motivation perspective or from the perspective of what inspiration people
should receive from the song. I'm saying this in my
humble capacity. Obviously I'm a new musician. Obviously it's doing
pretty well on the emerging three hundred charts right now,
(18:53):
it's I think it's a peaked at number seventeen, started
at number number two seventy two. Right now it's at
number eighteen or something like that. But from an inspiration yeah,
I mean that's a pretty good result. I think, thank you,
THANKI But I think from an inspiration perspective, my friend,
I think the story behind the artist should play a
part about, you know, whether that song should inspire someone
(19:16):
or not, along with the tune and the melody of
the song, right, Because, like I'll give you an example,
when Elvis sings the song right, and when you hear
Elvis presley song, right, you're not just listening to Elvis
Presley's vocals. If you're listening it on an audio, not
on a video, but on an audio right, in your mind,
you're also visualizing Elvis Presley and his tremendous stage presence
(19:39):
and his life story and you know, the fantastic success
that he had as a musician, a great artist, and
the personality that he had. So I think all these
things put together, the personality of the artist, the story
that the artist has had, the client that the artist
has had, from the perspective of challenges that he or
she has based in their life, along with if you
(20:00):
sort off, you know, make that confunction, along with the
fume of the music, along with the melody of the music,
along with the feel that the music gives or the
song gives. I think that is something that might inspire people,
hopefully if the ill inspire people. If it does, it'll
be a great honor for me and I'll be very
happy for it.
Speaker 4 (20:18):
Absolutely.
Speaker 2 (20:20):
All right, Gary, I think our listeners are ready for
some music.
Speaker 6 (20:24):

he can perform for us if he wants to. He
could sing, he could do some poetry, spoken words, rat
tell a story from his life, player instrument, give some advice,
or do nothing at all.
Speaker 4 (20:50):
Oh, we like dad.
Speaker 2 (20:51):

appreciate it.
Speaker 6 (25:43):
What did you think about the song?
Speaker 2 (25:45):
I loved it, man, That is a timeless piece and
your vocals sound pretty great on it.
Speaker 6 (25:51):
Dude, I gotta say I love that cheer and I
would love to sing a song with that Cheerum sometime.
I've been listening to his music for literally like more
than a decade than I love this song perfect, and
thank you for playing it. I appreciate it, my friends, thank.
Speaker 4 (26:04):
You absolutely absolutely.
Speaker 2 (26:06):
So this is the hot seat hot seat moment. Are
you going to participate?
Speaker 4 (26:11):
Yeah?
Speaker 6 (26:12):
Yeah, I would love to. Uh And I know. One
of the options is I can sing a couple of
verses of a song. Right, Is that right? My friend?
Speaker 4 (26:21):
That is correct?
Speaker 6 (26:23):
All right? Do you mind if I sing the Cantil
falling in Love? Just a few lines from Cantil Falling
in Love by the one and only King of Music
and the American music lession, Elvis Frensley. Would that work?
My friend?
Speaker 4 (26:35):
I will love that?
Speaker 6 (26:36):
All right, let's do it. I'm gonna stand up for
I'm sitting down right, I'm gonna stand up for this song. Right.
Can you still hear me? The microphone is a little
bit away from from me right now? Standing up? Is
that the can you hear me in? My friend?
Speaker 2 (26:48):
Yes?
Speaker 6 (26:49):
I all right, Let's let me let me give this
a try, just you and me, Demetrious and a few

Speaker 6 (28:26):
Thank my friend.
Speaker 4 (28:27):
I appreciate it absolutely. That was great man, before we
let you go.
Speaker 2 (28:34):
If music could remind America of one thing right now,
what would you want unchained melody to awaken in?
Speaker 4 (28:43):
People?
Speaker 6 (28:46):
Love the country, Love the country. Be patriotic American people
love the country. We're the greatest country in the world
and it is the American people. Incredible patriotic American people,
hardworking patriotic American people like you, Demetrius, like me, and
the hundreds of thousands of incredible patriotic American people listening
in that built our country and we're going to keep
our country the greatest country in the world. And obviously
(29:09):
have fun in life as well. Stay focused on what
you're trying to achieve. Be great American, hardworking patriotic people.
Focus towards what you're achieve achieving. Have a dream in
life if you want to, I mean you don't have to,
but if you want to have a dream in life,
a positive, productive dream in life, that would be incredible.
Walk towards your dream and then start running towards your dream,
