Let's go ahead and bring Max beaton. Yo yo yo, Welcome to
the show. As it going, shod Man, how are you going?
Pretty good? Man, pretty good? Thanks for thanks for being here.
Man. We appreciate your time.Right up, yes, sir, right

(08:46):
off the Batman. Your album titledMe Against the World Speaks Volumes. Can
you take us back to that pivotalmoment that led to this powerful statement?
Oh? Really, you know whatI'm saying, just real life stuff.
I've been going through a lot ofstuff I've been dealing with. You know

(09:07):
what I'm saying. It's it feellike you know, you know how I
get it, feel like it's justyou're just a word, feel like it
would get everybody. So you knowwhen you got a visit, don't nobody
to see it, but you youknow, it just feel like you just
feel like going back against the wild, like you get to everybody, So
that basically where that kind of from. I just know what I'm saying.
I just took real bads and realfeelings, real life and just in print

(09:28):
together. Yeah. Absolutely, Man, Before we get into why you do
music and how you do music,we want to know about the who that's
doing this awesome music. So giveit to a scrape man. How did
you discover your passion for creating music? Really, I would say I would

(09:50):
say it probably like a few yearsago. Really, I wouldn't say a
few years ago. I say itback and when I was in high sweep,
I said about seven years ago Ifirst saw a difference in unique,
but it wasn't really very seriously withjust something O life's playing with, you
know, kidding play. But eventually, years out of line, it's time
surface, you know what I'm saying. Now, I started getting more money

(10:11):
and started dealing with different stuff anddifferent people, so the real musia actually
started coming on out and started, you know what I'm saying. So I
finally realized, like what I gotto say, I got a line in
this word where what I got tosay people want to hear this, people
need to hear this. So youknow what I'm saying, really, that's
what That's what got into it.Like once I realized it isn't my real

(10:33):
life. Not only was it likeit just my real life life, I
might as gonna do this career becauseI could be hip somebody that's out or
getting through late other times or whateverthe case may be. Absolutely now you
mentioned that you know this is yourreal life, that that you're this is
your real life on display. Icome across a lot of artists that that

(11:01):
still live how they wrap if youfeel what I'm saying, like like they
may you know, they may startoff like, Okay, yeah, I'm
gonna be a I'm gonna be amusician and the recording artists and kind of
changed my life, but as timego by, they kind of slipped back
into the songs that they're singing about. What's your viewpoint on that? Man?

(11:30):
Why my thing is? Man,you're gonna preach it. You gotta
practice your preachon. You gotta knowwhat's your preason. You gotta know what
you're doing. If you don't,you're gonna you're gonna have somebody that's out
of here misguiding you. Mislive. So I always I always been a big,
big person on that like practice youpreach so eat like the screetures I'm
talking about in my song, Ieither Donna did it on doing it on

(11:52):
a friend of due and most ofthe always I did. I'm just trying
to get to a better level,of a better position in my life.
Why the better others, you knowwhat I'm saying. In stead, I
have to take the right up toit. So yeah, to me,
it's lights out. One of thepersonally want it or you don't want it.
That's how it is, Yes,sir, So man, you say
culture is about who you hustle for, So tell me, man, who's

(12:16):
that one person or memory that lightsthat fire in you every time you hit
the studio? And I probably I'mI'm gonna keep worried with the bird,
my my, my biggest motivation inmy family, number one priority. But
you know what I'm saying, probablyjust that one person. They probably ain't

(12:37):
even really one person, because likeI really is my pops and both of
them they passed away recently here inthis my ifice will just passed my office,
and both of their birthdays and aroundon the same day, around the
same time, So they passed aroundpassed away around the same time as way.
So them food was like, theyhave a big inflution in my life.

(13:00):
Who I'm saying, So when Iget in the booth, when I
getting up, really I'm always inthe boom. I got a booth where
I be at. So when I'mnot getting up, I always just think
about them, like about family, and think about where I came from.
You you know what I'm saying tojust go in you go at it?
Yeah? Absolutely absolutely? Then So, uh, only two years in the
game man, and you you're you'realready dropping your third album. That's some

(13:22):
serious hustle. Besides family, whatelse has been the biggest motivator pushing you
forward? Man? Really? Mydog man, she found it out.
So but like you said, besidesthat, I mean, really this is
being never gonna do this get tothis point knowing where I came from,
like I said, and like, once you actually see stuff about this fold

(13:46):
in front of your eyes and experingdifferent words and mouth like, it's a
different it. Did you a differentmotivation? Did you a different thrick where
you actually want to risk it outbecause you know you're gonna get You're gonna
get something about risk it because youyou you're doing what you gotta do.
Anything ain't depending on nobody there. So when you set up like that,
when you got your mind speaked uplike that, like that's motivation along by

(14:07):
yourself, you know what I'm saying. So you can't knocked that like once
you once you get to realize andseeing stuff for yourself, it ain't nothing
that nobody can say this you can'tdo, you know what I'm saying.
So don't ever don't ever listen tonobody that that I ain't doing what they
telling you to do. You knowwhat I'm saying, Don't ever get listen
to no false false informacelf. Youknow what I'm saying. Just just believe

(14:28):
in yourself. And the more youbelieve in yourself, the more you see
results, the more you're gonna keepon getting motivation. You're gonna keep on
going in and you're gonna keep goingand you're gonna keep going Nobody what ye
absolutely man? Uh? Speaking ofsupport, you got a solid crew behind
you. How have they influenced yoursound and journey so far? I was

(14:50):
managed South it is he infolded themand that's my that's my that's my whole
record lay but that's you know whatI'm saying, is me and it's it's
it's a lot of its accident. But you know what I'm saying, uh
me, which is a lege B. And then on the engineer and the
producer and not with the engineer,we got my guy. We got my
guy drug out of he also wasan artist will And then on the visuals,

(15:13):
you know what I'm saying. Wegot most of the people, but
mainly we got you know what I'msaying, shots and I got a long
and then we got another one.Uh real he artists will but he al
should be visuals. So you knowwhat I'm saying. Game, we got
another on the team folk guy heis well he he a artist on the
team. And then it will behere artist on the team, you know

(15:35):
what I'm saying. So like weusure going there and we ain't take another
break usual going our land. Likewe got a Holt team. We are
our family. Everything ain't ain't nono corners being quit none of that.
Man. We we got all straightforward. We all lady with this, you
know what I'm saying. So we'redoing this for the culture. Like I
said, this was Scott the Tennesseeto get so we're doing this squitch?

(15:56):
Yes, serious, sir. Theart of writing you use notes in your
phone and rely on inspiration. Everhad a lyric or idea hit you at
the most unexpected time? I wasalways you know what I'm saying, Like
I said, it's my real life. I really lively, it's a word
life. So at any point oftime, whatever I'm doing, it might

(16:17):
become a bar, it might becomemy lyrics, you know what I'm saying.
But that's how it is, absolutelyall right. So, uh,
working with a beat maker who getsyou, you know, who understand where
you're coming from, who understand yourvision, that's pretty special. How did
y'all start collaborating and what makes thissynergy? So one point? Man?

(16:41):
Really I started out. I startedout with another beat the you know what
I'm saying, I had advanced hisheres so to me, this guy named
mid the shopping middle Man. Youmade it on YouTube, you're going there
for so but I switched to him. And when I did that, like
I started getting into a couple ofbeats and it was just like it was

(17:04):
more so like I can relate tohis beats, like as if he was
my planet, like like as ifyou knew me, I risk, and
it was how he was making thebeach like he was making me. He
was cracking real art. That's whathe'll do with the beats hell created real
artist, said, that's just beenin music. Like music you could just
listen to and then you want toturn rock, but real art, no

(17:26):
matter how much addition to it,you fit in this at all times.
So it's like that's how he isfor the beach. That's why I like
all my songs. I don't nameany of my songs. All of my
songs the name he beat. Sowhatever the nine needs, beat this,
that's name my song. When Igo out for that enguage and I just
keep building, I keep building. But I've been working with him for the
past at least for the past yearor so, and it's like I don't

(17:48):
even talk to the dude. Hejust dropped beats. But it's like he's
there with me show you know whatI'm saying. I don't talked to him
reaching it before. I just twitchedthat to him because he took a little
break. But it's like he's likehe broke up with when I'm going on
fine man, because when he makesthe Dachs like I can relate right to
like it's nothing, it's easy,like it's might realize when I really realized,

(18:08):
like Okay, I got something going, I gotta keepers going for it.
It's you know what I'm saying this, I was just having like this,
Yeah, absolutely man, Absolutely,So your previous albums they really didn't
have any formal promo, no rolloutplans like this one, yet they wrapped
up some massive plays. What doyou believe resonated with the listeners from those

(18:33):
albums? I really feel like, then relate the relationship people can relate.
That's what I really feel like.Certain a lot of certain songs, and
then the keeper reals were a lotlike album songs. On the wasn't hit
songs, it was only two threesongs after offered the old two mixtape.
After the last two, I goton the first one, which was uh

(18:56):
self ready, it's like two hitthree, get a song on that one
song by itself got over thirty thousandplaces to take all together got over feet
and then the next take back todayit got over ten thousand places. So
that's what another emotional So like wesaid, like I really just I based
my songs on feeling you know whatI'm saying, relations real life, because

(19:18):
people can relate to I don't.That's why I don't really get into the
part of songs another day. Let'syou just watching really shot. Other than
that, I that's why I reallythought they gonna relate to me. They
gonna really, They're gonna really relateto me. So I gotta I gotta
way from this word. People gonnalisten to me, they relative relate.
Yeah. Absolutely, man crafted analbum, especially one as personal as Me

(19:40):
against the World, Must Must, has it have its challenges. Were there
any tracks that were particularly hard toput down? Let's see, I mean,
in particular, I would say whyas far as recording was that was
resting far record it wasn't hard toreport. Yeah, I mean someone gave

(20:04):
me at some time, but notreally like it was more like I had
to really get into deep out andsay in my zone for certain songs.
But other than that, and itwas like you know what I'm saying,
it was like a normal normal thiingswere, but it's just more like different
vias and different free and so youdon't want to put the wrong time on
the wrong song. But like Idon't focus on making hits or none of

(20:25):
that. I just focus on keepingthe rear as it as long as I
keep it rear as I'm worried about, I can care about really you know
what I'm saying, how the songturn you up or whatever? And I
don't like keep reth That's what I'mfocused on absolutely. Man. Lastly,
man, with such authentic passion anddrive, where do you see yourself for
the next five years? Do youhave any dream collaborations or venues that you

(20:48):
got your eyes on? What Imean? I mean, I don't really
look at working out body for reallythat's they want to work with me,
like less game or career. Otherthan that, I'm a tend to see
dude, so you know me.I'm sure I tend to see each other
move, you know what I'm saying. Side to the whole whole Tendency and
rest, but ris a future Idoctment ever really wanted the guys. I

(21:11):
really would have did like hey todo a feature with, so like that
was one of them. Do likewatch really like it's crazy, but really
it ain't really nobody else I reallyknow the other Tendency people. I messed
with them for so but it's certainfolks that I really just handpicked that I
do a pizza with. But andthey probably wouldn't even be too quick because
I'm really more awesome me. Comefocusing on me? I ain't really really

(21:33):
right, nobody is. Yeah, absolutely, man, Max, It's been
a real pleasure. Man. Theworld's eagerly awaiting for what you got to
offer next. Keep that fire burningand those beats dropping. We appreciate you,
my, my guy. We appreciateyour time. Thank you. So
