Speaker 1 (00:06):
Welcome to lat Subject Podcast. Our mission at Vlatimer Subject
Ministries is to reach the world globally and disciple them digitally.
Let's dive into this episode. If you're praying like this,
stop it's witchcraft. You gotta stop praying prayers.

Speaker 2 (00:32):
Did you know that certain prayers could actually align more
with witchcraft than biblical Christianity. Let's look at these type
of prayers that people need to stop praying today. First
one is stop treating prayer like magic thinking. Prayer is
a magical chant or ritual Matthew chapter six, verse seven,

(00:53):
Jesus is and when you pray, do not keep on
babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard
because of their many words. Prayer is relational, not ritualistic.
God desires a ethnicity, not repetition without meaning. Now look
at the example negative one, the prophets of Bail in

(01:15):
the First Kings chapter eighteen twenty five through twenty nine.
They repeated chance. They were hoping to get the response
through repetition and frenzy. Elijah, by contrast, prayed a simple,
heart felt prayer once and God answered immediately. Now this
does not mean that we cannot repeat our prayer Jesus

(01:36):
pray three times the same prayer in the garden, Paul
prayed many times for the Lord to remove the thorn
out of his flesh. So this doesn't mean that don't
pray repeatedly the same thing. Simply, don't treat prayer as
a magic and some kind of a chant or a
ritual that if you do it just right, everything is
going to line up.

Speaker 3 (01:57):
The second type of prayer.

Speaker 2 (01:58):
We need to stop praying, and that is this, stop
using people as mediators instead of Jesus, praying to marry
saints or angels instead of Jesus. Because in one Timothy,
chapter two, verse five, it says for there is one
God and one mediator between God and mankind.

Speaker 3 (02:20):
Guess who that person is.

Speaker 2 (02:22):
It's not Mary, it's not angels, it's not saints. It
is the man Christ, Jesus. Jesus died to give you
direct access to God. Don't downgrade that privilege by praying
through others. Now, could you have other people who can

(02:43):
pray with you, Yes, but we have direct access to God.
We don't need to go through someone else. You look
at King Saul where he was trying to consult Samuel
through a medium for Samuel twenty eight. Saul wrongly try
to commune ate through a diseased prophet instead of going

(03:03):
directly to God. That was condemned as witchcraft. We see,
for example Stephen as a good example. He directly prays
to Jesus. Book of Acts, chapter seven, verse fifty nine
and verse sixty. Stephen prays directly to Jesus, fully aware
that Christ alone is the mediator.

Speaker 3 (03:22):
Between God and humanity. Third type of prayer.

Speaker 2 (03:26):
You need to stop praying today, and that is stop
using prayer to try to manipulate outcomes, using prayer to
force God's hand selfishly. Scripture says in James chapter four,
verse three. When you ask, you do not receive because
you ask with wrong motives. Asking God to fulfill your

(03:49):
personal desires, treating him like a genie is not faith.
It's spiritual manipulation. We see Simon the Sorcerer in Book
of Acts chapter eight, Verses eighteen through twenty three. He
attempted to buy power for personal gain, demonstrating his manipulative
motives in the Things of the Spirit. On the other hand,

(04:11):
you look at Jesus in the Goitsemine Matthew twenty six,
verse thirty nine, he prays genuinely, submitting his will to
the fathers, not manipulating outcomes, but trusting god fully even
through suffering. If you remember when the mother of two
disciples of Jesus came to Jesus and she worshiped him,

(04:32):
and then she said, I want my son to sit
on the right and my other son to sit on
the left. You know, And at first, you know, a
worship was beautiful, but it was really a formal manipulation. Hey, Jesus,
I love you, I honor you, and I really want
this thing. And Jesus says, you don't know what you ask.
And so some people pray like that and it doesn't

(04:52):
please the Lord. Fourth type of prayer you need to
stop praying is praying prayers of revenge and harm, curses
and harm on your enemies. Romans, Chapter twelve, verse fourteen.
It says, bless those who persecute you, Bless and do
not curse. Prayers of revenge align with Witchcraft's heart, not

(05:14):
God's true Christianity. Prays for restoration, forgiveness, and blessing. You know,
James and John wanted to call fire down on the
city that didn't accept Jesus.

Speaker 3 (05:28):
Look.

Speaker 2 (05:28):
Chapter nine, verses fifty one through fifty six. It's interesting
they asked Jesus to allow them to punish the village
by doing what Elijah did. Jesus rebuked them and teaching
that prayers should never be a tool of revenge. Jesus
on the Cross Luke, chapter twenty three, verse thirty four.

(05:50):
He demonstrates this by praying for forgiveness for people that
are hurting him, saying, Father, forgive them, for they do
not know what they're doing. Jesus was not praying vengeance prayers,
and Jesus is our example.

Speaker 3 (06:06):
Fifth prayer we need to stop.

Speaker 2 (06:08):
Praying is when we are seeking signs and spirits over scripture,
consulting spirit guides, horoscopes, or demanding signs from God instead
of trusting in his word will lead you on the
path of witchcraft. Douronomy chapter eighteen, verses ten through twelve.

(06:32):
It says, let there be no one found among you
who engages in witchcraft or cast spells. Matthew twelfth, thirty nine.
Jesus says a wicked generation asks for a sign. See
trusting in signs more than you trust in the scripture
is trusting in the supernatural more than the God who

(06:55):
created it. King Saul coming back to him was consulting
a witch in for Samuel twenty eight. He was impatient, disobedient,
and turned from God's word to seek supernatural guidance through
forbidden practices, and in his mind the end justified the means,

(07:16):
meaning the fact that I'm going to witchcraft, but I'm
really wanting to hear from Samuel, you know, and that
cost him his life. God was not pleased with that. Jesus,
on the other hand, he resists Satan in the wilderness.
He resists Satan's timptation for supernatural shortcuts watch this by

(07:38):
relying strictly on the scripture, showing his trust in God's
word above the supernatural signs. I'm all for the signs,
but they can't be shortcuts as a replacement of relying
on the scripture. And Jesus showed us that the sixth
prayer we should stop praying is a prayer, a witchcraft

(08:01):
prayer where we are trusting in spiritual objects instead of
God's word, believing that certain items have spiritual power. The
Scripture says in Book of Acts, chapter nineteen, verse nineteen,
is that many who practiced sorcery brought their scrolls and
burned them publicly. True power is in God, not in

(08:25):
sacred objects, crystals, or anointed items. Faith belongs in God alone.
Is it true that we can lay hands on people?
Is it true that we can anoint people with oil?
Is it true that we remember the Lord's death through communion? Yes,

(08:46):
but these things don't hold power. Power is in God.
Can I even go further to say that fasting doesn't
have power, prayer doesn't have power. God has power. So
when you begin to have all kinds of charms, when
you begin to have all kinds of prayer, things that
you can't pray without, and that is your connection to God. No, no, no, no no.

(09:11):
There's only one way to God, and that is not
through physical objects. Jesus says, I am the way, not
a physical object. Be very careful that you use objects
to connect to God. Again, I am not against with
having a physical Bible, not against with having a candle
or having, you know, whatever, the atmosphere that you build.

(09:35):
But none of these things bring us close to God.
Jesus does that because these things help us to connect
with Him. Yeah, perhaps we have to be very careful
that we do not put our faith in sacred objects
or demonic crystals or other anointed items. Israelites is an

(09:55):
example of that, and the bronze serpent in Second Kings
eighteen four. Israel wrongly treated the bronze serpent, originally meant
to be a sign of healing, as an idol, relying
on it rather than God alone, and then King Hezekiah
destroyed it to refocus people on God. Paul rejects worship

(10:17):
through objects Book of Acts nineteen eleven through twelfth, eighteen
through twenty. Though God used objects like Paul's handkerchiefs by
Paul as a means to heal, Paul never encouraged to
trust in these items, nor did he market them, mass
produce them and sold them. Converts openly burned occultic objects

(10:43):
and focused their trust on Jesus. We have to get
back to that. The seventh witchcraft prayer or a prayer
we should stop praying, is praying for wealth without God's kingdom.
Prioritize in material blessing over spiritual growth is not the

(11:05):
way to pray Matthew six point thirty three.

Speaker 3 (11:08):
It says, seek first.

Speaker 2 (11:09):
The Kingdom of God and his righteousness, and these things
shall be added to you, wealth without spiritual maturity leads
to emptiness. God wants your heart first, not just your
walid fool the rich fool. In Luke Chapter twelfth, verses
sixteen through twenty one, he prayed and planned purely for

(11:30):
material prosperity and neglected his soul's condition in God's kingdom.
Losing everything, Solomon asked for wisdom. Solomon's prayer pleased God
because he prioritized spiritual wisdom over material wealth, and God
added blessings of wealth and honor too. So let's recap

(11:54):
everything true. Biblical prayer is relational, ritualistic. It goes directly
to Jesus. It has pure motives. It blesses, does not curse.
It trusts in God's word, not supernatural shortcuts. It seeks
God's kingdom, not selfish gain. Reevaluate your prayer today, because

(12:21):
prayer is powerful when it aligns with scripture, not with witchcraft.
Lord Jesus, align our prayers with your will and your word.
