events in pro wrestling. This isPart two of this week's wad Killer Progressing
podcast flake Ship with Jason Powell forPro Wrestling dot Net VIIP members. You're
hearing this early. We're bringing thisto you right away on Tuesday night,
but it will go up for everybodyon Wednesday night otherwise. And at the
(02:57):
end we're including the Tony con mediaQ and a from earlier today two that
Jason and I spent a good amountof time in part one of the Way
Killer Prossing podcast Flakeship talking about sofast forward to that if you want to
hear that first, because we justfinished talking about a w AND Part one,
or you can listen to our WWEand Impact talk here in part two,
followed by the mail bag, whichis VIP exclusive, followed by the
Tony Kahn call in order if youwant to you know what, it's your
(03:20):
choice. All right, here wego. Okay, so there's this other
company Jason called WWE, and Idon't know how we can get, you
know, way past an hour andnot talk about this crazy ticket sales for
Ressamania forty. I mean, likewhat you We've been covering this industry for
decades and this would have been thebiggest story of the year at times.
(03:40):
In WWE is just you know,I mean, it's it's a different kind
of metrics to judge, you know, how red hot the product is compared
to you know, in the ninetiesor the eighties. But I'm just I'm
still like kind of like it's sortof like vinswick Man is under is under
grand jury, you know, investigationand warrant served and all that. It's
like that should be a story wejust lead with for weeks and we're not.
(04:01):
It's like and I think Donald Trumpshas led to us becoming sort of
like not numb, but like, well, this happens with people in power
of that generation, and maybe somethingwill happen. Maybe it won't, but
it'll take a while, and solet's just kind of, you know,
pause our until there's more developments. And I get that, but this rust
in news just come so fast,so many things are happening compared to at
(04:21):
different times in the resting industry. But man, that is just crazy.
How not just the tickets they sold, but the price they're charging for tickets
and doing so this foreign advance withno announced matches. I mean you could
tell that WW just was excited, you know, on camera and off about
this. What's your reaction? Yeah, I think people who are all caught
(04:41):
up in a they're doing it toring on Aw's parade. It's like what
they have the numbers to do it, and it was the on sale date
strategic Yeah, perhaps, but eitherway, the numbers are there, and
I just think it's great for bothcompanies that they have these mega shows that
are doing as well as they are. And I can't you know, I'm
not even gonna say that I'm surprised. I'm really not, just because they
(05:03):
have been on such a role. The WrestleMania brand is so strong. You
look at the location and it's justyou know, WrestleMania always gets fans to
travel, but Philadelphia being right thereon the East Coast another a number of
major markets where it's a drive ratherthan a flight for people. So I
mean, I'm not trying to takeanything away from those numbers, But I
(05:25):
also can't say that I'm all that'sdone by it. Maybe the ticket prices,
I mean, I guess that's thebig one. If I'm WWT AW,
I'm showing these these advertisers. Okay, you're claiming that our fans don't
have money to spend or or whateverthe claim is here, Where are they
spending this much money on our product? Then? Yeah, I don't want
(05:46):
companies pulling punches when they go aftereach other. I think, you know,
I just if WW can try totake the wind out of the sales
of AW, I think that isIt's I didn't mean it's that. No,
I think both companies should be showingadvertisers because just change that reputation.
I was kind of going back tothe idea of the I was just going
back because I put a pin init to bring it up, the timing
of putting pickets on sale, andlike, I'm I mean, is it
(06:09):
sort of petty and can it makethem look bad? I guess. I
mean you can look at it thatway, and a W fans might,
but you know what, just everywho cares like it doesn't hurt the fans.
It's not like it like fast Lanefeels like a cheaper shot, you
know, like, oh, it'son Peacock and we're gonna hurt all out.
But a W is cannibalizing their ownpay per view with all in,
(06:30):
so it's like whatever. Uh,you know, the timing of that feels
a little more petty, but it'sjust like it's selling a bunch of da
comes in Philadelphia. Doesn't affect fora show half a year from now.
It doesn't affect the how excited andproud aw should be or how successful Wembley
is going to be. It's notlike someone was like, well, I
was gonna fly to Wembley, butno, I'm friend to Philadelphia. So
I'm just but I if w Bwants to go, hey, we're gonna
(06:50):
take away this this time for aW to flex over what they did at
Wembley. I mean, let thatbe motiating for Tony Kahn. You know,
it's it's it's a it's capitalism,it's competition, and it doesn't hurt
the fans. You know, nobodywas hurt by it, So I'm fine
with that. I think there's youknow, each situation should be judged on
(07:11):
its own, but this one,if if that even entered their mind,
or it's a happy coincidence, eitherway, no big deal. A W
should be so freaking proud of thisfan support that they have for that Wembley
Stadium show, and no matter whathappens to AW in the future, Tony
KHN will look at that as oneof the you know, one of the
bright moments of his professional existence.I mean, I I would be curious
if there was if an Apple Watchcould measure his excitement over this versus a
(07:35):
Jaguar super Bowl win, which wouldbe better because I think Tony's a bigger
progressing fan than anything. And Ithink drawing eighty thousand at Wembley when a
lot of people are like, whyare you booking that big stadium? You
remember remember talking to people in TNAwhen they booked up the Palace of Auburn
Hills for pay per view, andlike, why why are you doing that?
It's like a waste of money. It's gonna be caabneus and empty and
(07:57):
and you know, and they're like, well, it's just it seems more
major league to be in a bigbuilding. It'll look good, but you
know, we don't know. Andit, you know, it was cavernous
and empty. But sometimes you getsurprised on the on the downside, and
other times you get surprised on theupside. And this was a very pleasant
surprise. But WWE right now isthe is a product that feels hot and
it's not just anymore what's going onwith Roman reigns in the bloodline, you
(08:20):
know, I mean, Cody Rhodesis a big ingredient that got added to
the mix. And I continue tolook forward to Raw because I enjoy every
single facet of what's going on withthe judgment day. I thought Dominic this
yesterday showed more range for his characterin growth in a way that I want
(08:41):
Chad Gable too, in a verydifferent way. You know, Chad,
Well, that's all the topic. But with with Dominic, like his reaction
to like he's like the younger brotherwhen the older brother and the dad are
fighting, or the mom is fighting, or the older sister in the b
it's like, whoo boy, what'sgonna happen here? And like he's not
an elpha enough to play mediator. His facial actions I thought were good and
they weren't cartoonishly over the top,but they fit the moment, and he
(09:03):
showed range where Ripley has risen tobe this alpha leader trying to be the
reasonable person Damian Priest is looking. He's acting in a way that when he
turns baby face, how he actsduring this situation won't won't be held against
him. And I thought Jadie McDonoughwas good in his role in a way
that was not a guarantee that hewould be understated. He's kind of this
(09:26):
this shoulder shrug. What's a bigdeal. I just want to help out,
you know, and just like youknow the real dated reference, but
you know it's been made constantly forever. The Eddie Haskell who's nice to the
parents but but a bad influence onthe kids, and leave it to Beaver.
He's he's like, what, I'mjust here to help, but everybody
knows he's he's probably up to something. I just they've added dimensions to this
where I can talk about that asmuch as I can talk about what's been
(09:50):
going on with the bloodline. Andobviously with the bloodline right now, we
don't know, uh, you know, quite the pace of developments and what's
going to happen there. So Jason, just your your kind of thoughts on
what I just said about wwb's productand what you think is driving a level
of enthusiasm with a fan base thatled to say, what you all about
(10:13):
the market and it's a drive it'syou know, you can drive in and
all that. You don't sell thatmany tickets at that price unless people like
the actual on air product. Ohabsolutely, And Raw is so much easier
to watch. For some reason, last night to me felt a little longer
than usual. I mean, they'reall the same length, but sometimes they
just feel a little bit long. And your air pol though your online poll
(10:33):
people liked it. The number onescore was a B grade, so it
wasn't like people gave it a cR D. In the majority of it
still was a well received show, but it didn't shop out. I saw
you your comment on that it didn'tjoup out to me as any different than
other weeks in that part, Yeah, still may have just been me,
but it I'm liking this show.I think I'm starting to see some cracks,
which I'm sure we'll get into.Is we're just kind of talk more
(10:54):
WWV, but Raw is a morewatchable show SmackDown. When Romans there feels
like an event. They do areally good job, well almost always.
This last one, I'm going arethey is he actually going to be there?
Or is this just going to bea Jimmy USO hails to the chief
who isn't there, but normally theydo it really a job of beating over
(11:16):
the head that Roman Reigns returns, even if it's only been two weeks,
but it does feel like an eventwhen he's there. I felt like this
week without the bloodline, Edge wasable to carry things and that was a
really strong episode. That they dohave a number of characters now that may
not be Roman Reigns bloodline level over, but just seeing the reactions to Sammy
(11:37):
and Ko and Quebec, I thinkbreee some life into those characters. Again.
I do think the damage Control isdoing really good stuff and then Cody
and Seth of course trying to heatup Shinskay here, we'll see how serious
they are about that. And thenon the SmackDown side, you know raymus
Stereo. It means more now thanhe has in years. And it's not
(11:58):
just because he won the Intercontinental title. They are the I guess which one?
I think yess a US title. It's not just because of that,
it's they've really done a good jobof treating him like a legend. I
think a lot of that has todo with the Lavec booking versus Vince McMahon
booking. And it's not always perfect, you know, they don't. He
does take more losses at times thanhe probably should, but with the Hall
(12:20):
of Fame and everything, he's somebodythat means some. La night means something.
There's just a long list. It'sa good ensemble mix now where if
you don't have a key player fora little bit, it's not like,
oh my god, what do wedo? You would still miss Roman,
you would still miss Cody Seth, but there's still enough players to keep things
really interesting if there is a stretchof time or they're absent. Thank you

main website, pwtorch dot com.The unsureeness of what's going to happen with
the Bloodline right now is really astory to watch going into the fall,
and I don't I mean, youknow, I make it clear, and
I know some people just want toknow for whatever reason, and I get
(13:24):
it. I was there once whereyou just want to everything that's gonna happen
two, three or four months aheadof time or weeks ahead of time.
But like, I just want tosee the Bloodline storyline play out and how
they do this. But if Roman'snot around as much and they're they're broken
up, and I don't know,I mean, like I know how much
time and effort and pride they takein this storyline collectively that group. I
you know, it's not like theBloodline is just going away. It's they're
(13:46):
not going to stand in the ringtogether for a while if ever again in
the same way. But it isgoing to be a challenge to keep that,
to keep that going. And onthe backdown side of things, you
know, what do they do tosustain that brand in the mean time?
You know, if there is agap or they're either the pace slows down
or the star power isn't there asmuch as it was, although you know
(14:07):
Roman's been part time, but youknow paulse always He's always there in spirit
on Paul's cell phone. What dothey do to keep that brand strong for
Fox? Especially with ron Rolsican nowtoo hell a Night. Yeah, I
mean that's the most overact they haveoutside of the Bloodline on that show,
and I think you lean into it. You need to find things for him
(14:28):
to do. And it's fine thathe's gonna have this little thing with the
Miss. It wasn't crazy about theMiss losing to Tazawa. It's like,
okay, it should mean something anythingwhen Night beats him and it and a
Miss loses all the time. Butit's like, can you give him one
win going into that, and theycouldn't be bothered. It was a cutey
little moment, but yeah, itjust defines miss Down even further. But
(14:50):
on SmackDown, you know, weneed a strong rival, strong rival for
l A Night. And I didn'teven really thought about who it should be.
I just thought it was going tobe Theory when he held the US
championship, but they made that switch, so I don't know who it would
be. But I think despite youknow, the in ring flaws and whatever
criticism people can come up with forl A Night, the fans are responsive.
(15:11):
They love the guy, and soyeah, if Roman's not there,
I would certainly lean into doing whatyou can to make him feel like an
even bigger star. And I thinkeverything they've done with stretching this out,
for whatever reason it was, Itend to believe it was more of a
contract dispute than anything. But Ialso think it's worked out. I think
that just the fact that they didn'tgive everybody what they wanted right away with
(15:35):
that character, it's made them wantit more. And I think you and
I and others have kind of triedto beat that into people's heads over and
over again, when you know,we get call in or emails of people
asking questions about it, and forwhatever reason, it just doesn't seem to
register. They're still pissed every stepof the way if this guy doesn't get
a win. It's actually pretty funnyat this point, like I just keep
(15:58):
getting the same like what do youwant me to day that they didn't tell
you last week? I think it'smy design, guys, yes exactly.
I think WWE wants the Bobby LashlyStreet Profits group to become the reason to
tune in on Fridays, to fillin for whatever kind of gap or lack
of just being able to lean soheavily on the bloodline. And so far,
(16:21):
I like what I'm seeing. Ireally wanted the Street Profits to go
in a new direction, almost asmuch as New Day, actually more than
New Day, because I just thinkthere's more of an upside with Ford and
Dawkins, and I like the Ilike the vibe they're given off, and
I think it feels high end,it feels cool. I know the crowds
cheering them, and I don't thinkthat was their intense. So we kind
of see how they negotiate and managethat. But to me in the crowd,
(16:44):
I mean, they see the profitsand lashly as big stars. I
don't know that bell Eric should beor will be added. That's you know,
debatable. But what do you thinkof what you've seen so far?
There? I like it. Yeah, you touched on the one issue is
that the crowds do like him.I don't know if you have them go
after LA Night to try to convincepeople like, no, you're supposed to
(17:06):
dislike these guys, I would thinksome of it's gonna they'll be okay.
I assume that's the team that Koand Sammy worked with, since they've done
nothing to prop up any other tagteams, which is just I just scratched
my head. I mean it's thiswhole time, it's like, oh,
Sammy's you know, he doesn't meanwhat he did? Well, how could
he? They haven't done anything,And I know Ko was hurt there for
(17:26):
a little bit, but they didn'thave anyone ready to feud with those guys
and I don't understand why. Andthey're still not really doing anything other than
the street prophets, and Kao andSammy are popular enough that I think that
will help. Once we get intothat, then people. You know,
if you give the people a reasonto dislike the street profits, I think
they will start to boo them. And again, I don't know, maybe
(17:48):
Lashly feuding with La Night a littlebit would kind of help with that.
So I think there's things you cando. But yeah, I'm into that
act and just start looking forward toseeing how it develops. ED big part
of SmackDown this Friday basically a sendoff. His deal is up? What
the end of September? Is thatright, believe? I think the idea
is like he's out of dates, but the deal isn't up until October.
(18:11):
Maybe yeah, I think he saidlike in a couple of interviews, you
know that like he put it outthere. It's not really I just can't
I can't remember if it was earlyOctober, late Sepember. But basically,
yeah, his he doesn't have anymore matches or appearances on the contract.
They used him up and and myunderstanding of it was a it was a
amicable send off. Edge did didnot and I'll be writing up a story
on this. Didn't want to leave, but WWB didn't want to give him
(18:37):
what it took, what it wouldhave taken to keep him and I think
that points towards him going to aw I think Tony Kahn would love to
be able to sign EDGE. AndI think Edge is a really good get
for a W I really do.And I think you know when you talk
about w being patty or not magnanimousand and and not not like trying to
not sabotage, but you know SteveLaw's chances to flex and bask a little
(19:02):
bit. They gave Edge on apersonal level what Adam Copeland deserved and earned
and what his colleagues would want andscored points with fans and other wrestlers would
really like him by giving him thatkind of a sendoff for what may or
may not be his last out ofyou appearance if he doesn't go to a
w and you know there's there'll bea time when he probably is brought back
for something by WWE, but theydon't know that for sure. And it
(19:25):
was classy, But I think TonyKon would Edge totally matches up with the
air of the Tony Kon of awrestler from the air of the Tony Coon
would want to sign to a contractand to have hanging out in his locker
room as much as sting. Youknow, look gushed over Christian Cage when
he got him exactly, Yes,so edging Christian being reunited in some form
of fashion or ed shown up goingwhat's up with you? J I mean
Christian Cage, you know whatever.I mean, there's potential there and and
(19:48):
I think he I think based onthe push he got in w W E
and his sendoff, he has alittle more value than he would have had
if he just sort of, youknow, faded away without that nice Toronto
date handing up the way that itdid. I you know, Edge at
his age and with the schedule hewants to keep in all that. I
mean, it's not you're not ahuge difference maker, but I mean,
(20:10):
you know, if MGF were aheel, still an Edge comes in.
I mean you could do a programwith those two. And I think MGFF
could have a good match with forsure, have a good match with him.
That there's a variety of opponents whowould work out as heels against a
baby face Edge or maybe Edge showsup and people are going to buy Edge
as a heel for the reasons ToddMartin said earlier this summer, people know
who Adam Copeland is. Everything anythingthat's a heel. It's just that they're
(20:30):
gonna be like, all right, you're costplaying a heel and Daniel exactly.
Yeah, yeah, he can jointhat group and be cheered, but be
mean and menacing and beat people upand cheat, and then Excalibur can no
sell it and fans can keep cheeringthem, and it undercuts the baby faces
are facing. So I don't know, what what do you what do you
think? What do you think aboutmy framing of the h situation? Both
(20:51):
gave him the sendoff and then hisvalue to eight. I agree with the
sendoff. I think it does givehim a boost, and yeah, I
think he would be value when aW. I feel like, well,
I mean, we know Tony CON'shad interests. I mean the story has
been like, okay, wwe wasn'tgoing to let him back in the fold,
not even go through the testing untiloh, the other company's interested.
(21:14):
Let's let's let's line up for sometesting. Is the way it's always kind
of been framed, and so yeah, I think there has always been interest
in by on Tony CON's part inEDGE, and now I think I feel
like Edge did what there is todo in w W. I think it
is time for him to go elsewhere, and I it's just what else is
there? You know, I'm justyou can always find another match or another
(21:37):
opponent or whatever. But as faras you're like truly meaningful things, he's
done at all. And I thinkit would be a really nice boost for
AW to get him, and Ithink he would fit in on Collision.
I think he'd fit in on Dynamite. You know, there's plenty of really
fun opponents for him to work with, even if he's just doing limited dates.

slash go vi ip on the women'sside of the SmackDown that they're gonna want
to lean on them. What doyou think of the order of things right
(22:45):
now? This Fast Friday at CharlotteBianca Biller against EO Sky and Bailey with
Dakota Kai back at ringside is thewomen's division on SmackDown, and the top
women they're featuring have a direction thatyou kind of see they're going in that
you think will help Bowie SmackDown goinginto the fall if there is less bloodline
like content. They have the starpower. I don't really feel like I
(23:10):
know where they're going with things though, because you know, EO has the
championship and Bailey's kind of jealous ofthat. Bailey also has her thing going
on with Shansi. Charlotte's always justCharlotte, and Bianca really needs the direction
and I don't feel like she hasone yet. I think they have the
players. They're in a better positionthan Raw Is, where I feel like
they have Rhea and they have Raqueland everybody else is just kind of around.
(23:33):
Maybe I'm forgetting someone, but Idon't think so. And yeah,
boy, I think that they needon the raw side, especially to start
building up some opponents start, youknow, whether we figure out what you're
gonna do with ri if she's gonnastay healed, and we need stronger baby
faces. It can't be Raquel andRaquel only. It's you can get a
(23:53):
nice program out of them, butit's gonna end sometime. And that's what
I was going to talk with thecracks that I'm seeing. It's not just
the women. I mean, whatare they doing to build up Cody's next
opponent. We don't even know whoit is. There's not even any hints
to it, Seth. They justdecide, hey, at Schinsk's turn,
and okay, that's nice, Butyou had the entire Finn Balor run with
(24:15):
Seth to be building up Shinska Nakamuraand he was just trading law wins and
losses with Bronson, Reid and Ricochetand they didn't do anything to build him
up. I just see too muchof that right now, especially on the
raw side, where it's like, well, we have the judgment day and
it's like yeah, but no onereally takes them as serious threats aside from
the money in the bank, Hashionwhen it comes to Seth or Cody,
(24:38):
because you don't have those guys reallylose on television. He got to start
building some people up. Whether nowI'm happy they didn't. If the Shinskate
thing is like a one off kindof thing, I'm happy they didn't make
that. Bronson read because I thinkhe should be bigger than that. But
they got to start making him,you know. And if there's a reason
why the scenes it's not him, then you got to pick somebody else.
But they gotta start picking some peopleand move. Is there anyone on the
(25:00):
NXT side that you think they canbring up and fill in some of the
gaps that you're speaking about going intofall and winter. I think because of
the name and rep, I thinkbraun Breaker there's somebody that can bring right
in in a meaning bloke heel role. Uh. I mean, they haven't
done enough to chase and it's theirdevelopmental territory with a bunch of names that
(25:22):
they've been developing for years. Justgive me your top eight, brattle them
off. I wish I had thelist in front of me, But but
it should be that easy, shouldn'tit. Yes, And no, Yeah,
I mean, I mean, Idon't they call there's too many people
down there, and look, weconsider and say size doesn't matter in WW,
(25:44):
it still does, And they havea smallish roster, and that is
you know, it doesn't it doesn'tmatter like it once did. You know
there's you can be an undersized wrestlerand be in a World Heavyweight Championship matches.
We just often balor get a coupleof un or title matches with Seth.
So it's not like you it's notlike it once was where you're just
not even going to getting their ringof your certain size. But when it
(26:07):
comes to being in meaningful positions, yeah, there's Ray, but there's all
spin. There's just a lot ofpeople that when it comes to the champions
you gotta look believable against Cody, you gotta look believable against Seth Roman.
Same thing. And there's just alot of under size compared to those types
on the NXT roster. There aresome, but not enough, and the
(26:29):
ones they do have I think arepretty green and need a lot of reps.
Yeah, yeah, I think they'vebeen doing a good enough job.
I sort of have this sort ofweird faith that they've got it figured out
and it'll work out, but it'llfeel fresh. Huh. Well, let's
let's go back to the bottom fora bloodline for a second. What what
do you anticipate is gonna be theirpresence on SmackDown and the pace at which
(26:56):
we see a bunch of things resolvingthemselves. I mean, Hayman and Solo
and the usos are going to beavailable, rains, you know, more
limited, and that's he's earned it, and that's the schedule he wants and
he's had it for a while. But they are not a combined unit right
now. And can they slow walkit for a while and then accelerate or
do you think it's it's overblown thatthey're not going to be a big part
(27:18):
of things in the near future andthat they're going to find a way to
make it work. Boy, Ifeel like Roman not being there at this
time of the year is going tokind of play into I mean, you
just look at the pay per viewor their pl E lineup and it's like,
Okay, it's Payback and it's fastLand or whatever it is. And
(27:41):
I think we have a Saudi show. And I guess if there's a time
to cool down down. It's now. Ideally they would have had their television
deal done before you start to cooldown a little bit. I mean,
I save Roman for the key stuff, but when he's not there, I
mean, the Jimmy and Jay thingis fine. I was really wondering,
(28:02):
like a lot of people, didthey jump the shark at Sammerslam? But
I felt like that next Friday theycame back strong. They needed a strong
segment with Jimmy and Jay, andthey gave us one. And so I
think there will be interest in Jay, maybe even to the point that they
can heat him up to be theguy that beats Rome. And I've always
said, like, and then you'rechampions Jay, So but I'm still willing
(28:22):
to give it time. It's justthat at this point that's how I felt,
and I still feel that way.But maybe if they get creative with
Jay, the people do love him, maybe you can ultimately make him that
guy. But yeah, I don'twithout knowing what they have in mind,
what's next, how often Romans isgoing to be there, It really is
difficult to say when Yeah, yep, I agree. Okay, going back
(28:48):
to Raw, I mentioned Jack Gableand you nodded along to it verbally.
You've been an advocate for a whileof Gable doing more than he had been,
and yet he's just doing his twocatch phrases and being a one dimensional
cartoon character at a time that callsfor him to show that he is more
than that. And you know,I pointed dominic in the range he's showing
(29:10):
in the in the nuance, andit's working. He is ever every bit
as interesting and in the ways thatmade him initially interesting, but he's adding
layers and nuance to it and isn'tnatural for this. And I mean I
did think I saw signs. Idid say I saw signs of that when
he was just standing next to hisdad as a as a baby face,
as this kid in a spotlight, you know, intimidated by the moment,
(29:33):
but also not And I thought he'dbe a good punk ass heel And I
was right on that one, ChadGable. I was hoping that there was
more to him. Jason, areare you losing hope or do you think
that? Be? Sort of likewith La Night, be patient, they'll
get there. Where where are you? Because man, he's having good,
credible matches in the crowd is respondingto him, not just in Minneapolis,
but last night against Kunther. Butman, I want to see him do
(29:56):
more than just leaned so hard onthe couple things that you know he sells
t shirts about. So is ithim or is it the Is it the
creative staff? Because right I couldthat's I can't sit here and point the
finger at him without knowing. AndI mean, really, there's things he
could do, even with the scriptthough, to show there's a little more
going on. Yeah, I guessI just look at it like it's a
(30:21):
little thing they're doing. I'm morediscouraged than anything that that's great that he's
getting this. But if they wereserious about this, I think he would.
I don't think he'd be spending histime with Otis and Maxine. I
think they'd be kind of put onthe side for a while. I don't
think he'd be doing the shush, which never got over. I don't know
(30:42):
why they've convinced themselves he didn't doit last night. Maybe they're finally figuring
that out. The thank you thing. Ow, he's got a cute little
reaction from people. Didn't this week. Maybe it's because they're in Montrea or
in Quebec. I don't know,but yeah, it's it's becoming like a
million dollars man. It's a milliondollar man thing where initially it felt natural
(31:02):
the laugh, and then it justbecame a string that got pulled and you
let go and it just was thedoll just going the cartoonist laugh. But
it didn't feel authentic anymore. Itfelt like just Teddy Biace sleep walking through
a shtick. And it's I thinkit's got to that point where it's like,
it's it's not, it's not.I don't even think he's feeling it
anymore. He's just widening his eyesand saying saying it and yeah, and
(31:23):
this is a time to break awayfrom the they that's what I mean.
I don't think they're serious about thisbecause I think one's going through beat him.
He goes back to clowning around withOtis and Maxine, And if they
were serious about it, I thinkwe'd be seeing more straightforward, serious promos.
There'd just be something different about him. And so I just looked,
Yeah, I think it's like aman, well, cute little thing for
(31:45):
Chad Gable. He's earned it,but I don't think they're serious about it.
In twenty twelve, NXT transitioned intothe developmental system and ultimately the brand
you see today. On the TorchVIP podcast NXT Eight Years Back, we'll
be taking a weekly look at thispage in NXT's early history. Joe and
(32:07):
Kelly Wells and me Tom Stout fromPWT talks NXT every Saturday as we go
eight years back to the day totrack NXT's rising talents and why they did
or didn't work out, exclusively forPW Torch vi IP members. Okay,
she's getting up, Murk, Iexplained what he said to Seth, brought
(32:28):
up the back injury. Seth showednuance and range compared to his bombastic,
outlandish character that we see most ofthe time going out and how long I
can do this? They showed himand Becky walking together just from the back
towards a truck, which Replach's faceon the back on the back of it,
which I find hilarious. It's stillstill the same Polavac gotta have his
(32:50):
face on a truck and it's gotto be the one that's showing. So
what now you really think all ofthat? But I could be happenstance,
but it's triple H. So I'mnot getting out. I mean, I
like, I think Paula X,Like, I think he's grown grown into
being a good person who's really goodat his job and loves pro wrestling all
(33:12):
that, But I mean he's stillthe guy still in his DNA is self
promote. Awesome gonna be if youfound out like he's out there directing this
thing totally yep. I mean there'sjust you know, I mean, there's
just certain people who you know that'sgonna be a thing, that's always a
thing and you just poke fun.But you know, part of what he
(33:34):
was he was looking over the shoulderproduction people because he wanted the video of
him to be great. But theproduction people knew, I better feature Triple
H in this video a lot,or he's gonna come and ask me to
add him to it. You knowthat kind of thing. I mean,
it's just you know, it's justpeople started doing that dayw I know where
a wwe talk. But that isone thing Tony's like way too proud of
his all in production where it like, dude, who's the video like forty
(33:57):
seconds? Like whoo be like that? All their video backs are like that,
like no, we need that therewe need somebody to go into business
for themselves and be as selfish asTriple H was back in the day.
Give me a longer video package.Well, I mean, you know MJF
and Cole Darby. I mean there'speople who I think you can tell the
wrestlers are are into it for betteror for worse, that they have a
(34:19):
lot of agency and are pushing formore time and negotiating for more time.
So so, yeah, just whatyou think about the Shinske Seth angle And
do you think it it helps sesscharacter to show that he do behind the
veneer of the bomb. Bast isa real person and he is willing to
show it because you know, it'ssort of a winking it out of the
audience. I am a real humanbeing with a family and concerns about my
(34:39):
health and all that, even ifI do go out there and have it
up for you guys. Yeah,I think we need that from Seth occasionally.
And I also think that it's abouttime they use subtitles for Shinsk.
There have been other wrestlers over theyears like why aren't you doing the subtitle
thing? I guess it just wasan avene thing. I thought it was
effective but again, you you hadall that time to know the direction you
(35:01):
were going in for once Rawlins andBalor were done and you didn't do anything
to build up Shinska Nakamura, andwe're still going like, who's Cody's next
opponent? Maybe it is braun Breaker, but even then, like he's losing
all of his matches on NXT televisionwhile most of them anyway, that can
(35:22):
be a race quickly on the mainroster. But still I want to see
champions defending their titles against people whofeel like they've earned it, not just
we didn't know what to do,so we went with this person this month,
And that's what this feels like.Yeah, yeah, I think it's
resourceful to get something out of shinskand I hope that he comes out of
this with in a better spot wherethey can utilize him in other ways where
(35:45):
people would care to say he feuded, you know with l a Night or
something like that. Next. Yeah, I mean they did that with Balor.
I give them all. Yes,yeah, that's a great me that
way. All the time, you'vegot to start building people. No,
totally, but this is the timeto do it. I mean I just
think, you know, I meanall the Ideally you would have a really
strong woman Rains matchup fast Lane tomake up for you know, Seth Nakamura.
(36:06):
But but it's it's as you said, what's all I said, fastlant
Yeah, payback, thank you?Yeah. So insert generic pay per view
name here. Totally. I dothat. I've done that over the years
so much fast Lane, Payback, backlash, what else are It's sort of
interchangeable bring back great balls of fireby the way, Yeah, maybe we
(36:28):
should just accept these. Oh man, all right, is it Cody's been
great? You know, so great? But is there a little did he
go last night into a territory that'sa little dangerous, which is, you
know, wearing the suit promoting themain event? Did he come across a
(36:49):
little too kind of corporate in inthat I know it served a purpose,
which is they want to let peopleknow he's in the building, and it
explains why he ran out and participatedin the main event. But even if
they didn't advertise him and all that, But I I thought there was a
little bit of a risk of itseeming like, ah, this is Cody
the company man shilling for the company. Maybe a little I think he's in
a very good place, and whatevernegative was done there, I think it
(37:13):
was washed away completely by the crowd'sreaction to him. It certainly helped having
him be part of the you knowwhatever something of the homecoming that Owens and
Jane had And yeah, I meanI didn't get that he said he was
going to be in their corner fortheir matching that he was and that was
kind of strange. But I thinkthe part that got to me, because
I should up brought that up,it was just saying, oh, welcome
(37:35):
Wade, Barrett, Michael colder Rawtalking about the announcers. That aspect of
it was sort of like you're notthe GM, you're you know. It
was a little John Cena like like, hey, I hope we entertained you
tonight. That it's just it's strayeda little bit into that territory and speaking
French to the fans and yeah,I don't know. It was like,
I get it served a purpose, but in the moment, it felt like
Cody just wanted to be on cameraand act like he was the locker room
(37:57):
leader, which almost feels like apushback to what he was what what he's
you know, he mentioned my namethat he's still upset about my my reporting
on exactly how how integral he wasas EVP behind the scenes in a w
in terms of embracing and fully, you know, fully embracing that role.
I'm sure he'll get over. Cody'snever been known to hold it grudge with
(38:17):
well, he said, he said, he's over it with me, So
I mean that's he said. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, I
think I get what you're saying.Yeah, that was a bit much.
And I also don't is there anyonethat wasn't involved in the JBL and Cole
show that remembers it as fondly asthey do. I he did a shout
(38:40):
out to that and whatever. Yeah, yeah, any anything else w w
wis you want to bring up?Oh, wasn't the biggest news week other
than the WrestleMania. You know,it kind of has been a weird letdown
post Slam. I think SummerSlam wasa bit of a disappointing show, and
(39:02):
the week to week TV has beenfine. You just kind of keep waiting
for that next moment to happen, and I don't know that it's going to
before Payback, and I don't knowwhen the next one is going to be.
I don't. I'm not crazy aboutthe approach of just waiting until the
last couple of weeks to announce matches. I think it's a bigger issue with
(39:22):
aw with pay per views than itis for WW with the show like Payback,
and certainly when they have the builtin they know what they're getting anyway
from Peacock, you know, Iwould push back a lot harder on them
if it were Wrestle Bania they weredoing this for, or you know,
just another major event waiting until thelast two weeks, but you're going against
two aw pay per views, andPayback just kind of feel to me.
(39:46):
It feels like an afterthought right now, and we only know two matches on
the all out show. It's justkind of they're tied in together for me
anyway, and so I'm thinking moreabout that than I am. What they're
doing at Payback. It's been right, I don't know, because if Roman's
not there and Cody has no oneto work with, right, you know,
the big match on that show isSeth and Schinskay, which I don't
(40:09):
know. Six years ago it hadbeen awesome. Now it's just like,
Okay, it's set and Shinskay. And it doesn't feel big, and so
I'm hoping there's something more to come. Here's something that's going to happen on
either SmackDown or Go Home week that'sgoing to make that feel like more than
just a complete throwaway B pay perview. Yeah, Pa, Yes,
yep. One way that you canhelp us sustain our schedule of putting out
(40:34):
podcasts throughout the week is by givingus a five star rating on Apple Podcasts.
Just go to Apple podcast and lookfor our Weight Killer Prossing podcast and

(40:55):
That helps us on search returns andhelps us grow. And if you want,
you can add a few comments aboutwhat you like about the programs in
the comments section. Thank you somuch. There's other things going on outside
of B and a W. Ikind of like to throw to your kind
of latest thoughts on Impact. Whereare they right now? Jason in the
(41:19):
EBB and flow of being a showthat isn't on people's radar but either should
or shouldn't. It's a good,quality week to week show. It's you
know, Scott Damore does a reallygood job as a booker. And their
championships, well, the exception ofthe highly coveted Digital Media Championship, which
is one of the worst names I'veever heard for a title, build the
(41:43):
rest of them means something, youknow, like every company that has women's
tag team titles, they only meanso much unfortunately because there's only so many
women's tag teams. That's another onefrom WWB, Like, okay, you
have one baby Face, actual women'stag team, you use you feed them
two Piper Niven instead of like somelocal enhancement team. Why but no,
(42:06):
back to the Impact. They justdid a show with Japan. I've had
a chance to see it yet,and then they have their Oh it starts
with an e at an emergent showcoming up this weekend, and it's going
to feel lost in the shuffle.Everything with them being on Excess TV,
I think does feel kind of lostin the shuffle. But if you do
have access to it, or youwant to spend a little bit of money.
(42:29):
I think it's on YouTube. Youcan get at a pretty good price
to watch their weekly television. It'slogical. It rarely makes you want to
throw your remote through the TV.There's there's not those moments with impact typically,
and it's not the same old TENAthat's for sure, and they have
a good quality roster. Josh Alexander'sback. But I also kind of feel
(42:50):
like going into emergence, Like Iusually don't watch their Impact plus shows just
because there's only so many, somuch time in a day. I kind
of save it for their pay perviews. But even they kind of feel
like they're in that ww lull, like they have an eight man tag main
event for that thing where typically youhave title matches and things, and again
just a random eight man there's noteven elimination, nothing. Just that's it,
okay, and that's what you're goingwith. You're a fan of Frasier,
(43:13):
right, Jason, Yeah, youknow it's coming back. I do.
Yeah, It's it's funny. Iwent back and watched Cheers and really
enjoyed that just you know, latenight viewing, and when I got to
it, I got to it.But I went through the whole thing and
really enjoyed it. I'm like,I'm gonna do the same with Frasier,
and I think I made it likefive episodes for some reason. So I
like the show. Yeah, butit's been a long time. Yeah,
(43:36):
I haven't watched it and reruns forfifteen twenty years. I really enjoyed.
At the time, I thought itwas real smart. I think, you
know, the reboot is fine becauseyou know nothing, nothing new. I
shouldn't say there's tons of great thisis a glorier of TV, but sitcoms
it's tough to get a big audience, and so if you have a brand
that has something left in it.So I'm curious about it. Paramount It
(43:59):
is is uh, you know,Paramount Plus is featuring it. I saw
ads for that online, so Ithought i'd ask because I thought you're a
Fraser fan. Yeah, no,David Hyde Pierson, Is that correct?
Oh, I don't. I don'tknow enough about it. I remember hearing
a Phraser was getting rebooted months ago, and then I didn't really research it.
So that's that's an important missing piece. Did you like the Dexter reboot?
I finally got a chance to seethat. You know, I started
(44:20):
watching it, and there was,but I didn't finish, and it wasn't
because I thought it was bad.But I also didn't feel compelled to finish.
But I think I just got cutup. And there's something probably that's
probably like when Succession started, I'mlike, okay, drop everything, you
know that kind of thing. Ithought that the atmosphere, the atmosphere,
the setting change was good. Iam I want to finish shit, which
is a positive because I resented thelast couple of seasons of the original a
(44:43):
lot. I think the sister isawful. Her acting is terrible. What
they have her do is terrible, and it almost ruins a show for me.
But yeah, so you know,it's better, better than I feared,
but not like must see. Theybrought in the top quality, right,
and and I think all the conceptI think worked for you know,
a few seasons, but it's it'sa stretch now. So how about two.
(45:07):
Everything you said about the original,I mean that it should have ended
with I think the Liftgown season.Maybe there was one more after that.
I don't remember if that was stillgood, and this one it just it
helped wipe the bad taste away.It had its flaws, Yeah, it
definitely did, but yeah, itand I saw they're not doing another season
of it, and that can alwayschange, but yeah, it nothing else.
(45:31):
I won't just have to go outon that extremely low note and that
the original series did. But doagree the sister is like the worst part
of it. Deb I have asoft spot for deb. I think her
a thing is terrible and I thinkher character took some really bad turns late
like that that also kind of actuallyre recolored how I even looked at her
(45:52):
earlier in the season. It did. They kind of just fell into a
pattern with her and it was like, you know, one miners and tantrums,
and it just was like, Okay, I liked her more earlier,
you know, earlier on than Idid as the as the series went on,
that's for sure, And you know, I mean they were creative and
getting her into the reboot, butI don't know, it felt a little
(46:14):
wedged in. I was thinking withFraser's brother David I pierceon not being at
it, like I think the rebootwould have been fine without without her.
I know some people probably would havemissed her, and it seemed like less
less of a reboot without her.But all right, Jason, let's let's
wrap up the free show here, but let's hit a couple of emails for
our members. So I respective memberson the dot net membership side and pod

(48:51):
the upcoming aw Fighter Fest shows andof course the historic all in London this
Sunday at Wembley Stadium. So justa few quick housekeeping items, an interests
of time and giving opportunity opportunities toas many people as we can. Let's
try to keep your questions one part. One part question is not two part
questions. Let's try to keep thequestions focused on the upcoming shows this week
(49:13):

is unmuted now. So Tony's gota busy day, He's had a business,
it's gonna have a busy week.Let's go, Tony. Are you
ready and we're gonna open up foryours opening thoughts and we've got you to
the top of the hour. Tony. Sounds great, Thank you very much,
Jim, thanks everybody for being here. That is the most exciting week
(49:36):
in the history of the company.Certainly, it's going to be the biggest
event we've ever had, and itfeels like the biggest month ever for our
business. And it starts tomorrow onWednesday night Dynamite Fighter Fest, and it's
going to be a very busy week. I'll try to answer as many questions
as I can, and I reallyjust appreciate all of you being here.
Thanks for doing this. And withthat, Jim please take it away.
(49:57):
Okay, So we're gonna start withPhil Strom from the USA Networks under the
Ring, and then Jim Barcelona fromthe Miami Herald is on deck. Fill
your out, he will. Hey, Tony, congratulations on Wembley Stadium and
all in what's happening in wrestling rightnow is It's just great to see him
in aw for sure. I'm interestedin learning if you felt Young Bucks versus
(50:21):
FTR was ever in jeopardy and ifthere was any discipline of Cash Wheeler following
his arrest, and also just yourthoughts on that match. Thank you,
thank you well. First of all, start with my thoughts on the match.
I think it's two of the greatesttag teams of all time. I
have so much respect for all fourmen individually and each of the two teams
collectively. I think they're both amazingtag teams. I think all four men
(50:45):
are great wrestlers and they have hadgreat matches. When FTR arrived in aw
it was all about the build towardsFTR versus Young Bucks in That first match
was incredible at Full Gear twenty twenty, and for a long time we wanted
to see a rematch. We finallysaw it in Boston. It was an
(51:06):
incredible match on Wednesday Night Dynamite inApril of last year. And the rubber
match is something I know I personallywanted to see for well well over a
year now, and I know alot of fans in pro wrestling wanted to
see it, and I thought theperfect place for the rubber match to settle
one of this great rivalries in thehistory of tag team wrestling would be a
(51:32):
w all in. And as forthings that have happened outside of the ring,
I can't comment on that specifics atthis time because I still don't know
everything, still learning facts, butbased on the information we have, you
know at this time we're still keepingan eye on that situation. And at
(51:58):
this time I think it's a veryinconclusive situation. It differs from other times
where we've come in and wait inon a situation or acted on a situation
based on the evidence, because inthis case and everything we're looking at,
I don't think we have those factsright now, So at this point I
(52:21):
think it's rather inconclusive. But Ido very much look forward to the match,
and we'll keep an eye out throughoutthis week and as long as it's
depending situation at what's what's happening.Thank you very much, Thanks Phil as
promise. Next up is Jim Barcelonafrom Miami. Harold Steve Fall from ten
(52:45):
Counts. We'll follow Jim, Jim, you're up. Thank you all so
much, and again corrats on thisall in and the ticket sales and tendence.
That's amazing, wonderful and great foreverybody. I'm curious navogate a little
bit to TV Tony. I knowyou're an analytics guy. I'm curious I'm
(53:05):
not all into the analytics part ofit, so you might be able to
get a better You will be ableto get a better aspect when it's something
like college football season coming up andyou have the shows like Rampage and Collision
Friday Saturday. Do you look atthe numbers differently during that or you don't
really take that into account the differentseasons of the different events that are on.
It's a great question. I definitelythink we see pro wrestling affected by
(53:30):
the competition at times, and certainlythe toughest competition and all the television is
football. I'm biased words football sincemy family owns one of the thirty two
National Football League teams, but footballis the strongest product on television by far
in America, and it's the strongestproduct in the world, and it will
definitely have an effect on people competingwith it. In our case, I
(53:54):
believe we can do very well andhold it in very strong and that competition.
I also believe it will bring moreeyeballs to television on Saturdays, and
there's going to be more people watchingTV on Saturdays, and we can take
advantage of that. But it certainlydoes create a more competitive landscape whenever there's
football on, whether it's pro footballin particular or college football. Thank you,
(54:17):
thanks Jim, Yeah, thanks Jim. Appreciate that. Steve Fall from
ten count is next, and thenwe're gonna follow Steve with a write in
question from alist from George from Metrodot CEO dot UK. Steveny, thanks
Tony, very punk for the showthis weekend. But how difficult is it
(54:37):
for you to put together and allin card versus an all out card?
Like who decides on who's gonna endup on what card? Because obviously everybody
wants to be at Wembley, Sois it a difficult decision on Wheys matches
Land. Yeah, it's a verydifficult decision. I have to make that
decision, very unpleasant and people absolutelydo You're completely right, want to do
(55:02):
whatever they can do to be onWembley. But also there's a great show
coming up the following week in anothermarket that's hugely important aid of you,
and that's Chicago, the United Center, and there'll be a lot of focus
on that show, certainly, youknow, as we come out of All
In, there'll be a lot offocus on All Out, and certainly with
(55:24):
a big spotlight on All In,it will provide a great opportunity to promote
All Out. Also, the liveevent weekend is really important. We've got
a massive ticket gross right now, obviously a massive ticket gross at Wembley Stadium,
which is historic but also one ofour best gates at the United Center.
(55:45):
We've got a great crowd coming infor All Out on pay per view
and that is a great weekend forus to run the event in Chicago,
and on the live gate alone, that's going to be a massively profitable event.
So a lot of it is aboutthe real estate that we carved out
for ourselves and now we found somethingreally special to do All In during the
(56:07):
Bank Holiday weekend on August twenty seventhis Sunday in London, and then come
back for Labor Day weekend in Chicagoand have another very profitable live event.
So I think there'll be people clamoringto be on All Out as well,
but certainly the big priority right nowand everybody's focus is All In, and
(56:27):
it's with good reason because it's goingto be a massive event absolutely this Sunday.
Thanks Steve. Thanks Steve. I'vegot a right in question from Alista
McGeorge which I'll give you in aminute, Tony, and then John Pollock
from Post Wrestling will follow. AlistaMcGeorge has a pretty simple question, Tony,
what kind of a ticket update canyou give us for the Wembley show
(56:49):
of this Sunday well. As ofnow, we have approximately eighty thousand tickets
distributed and a gate of close toend million dollars and it is historic.
It is by far the biggest gatein aw's history, and it'll be the
biggest crowd and the biggest gate inthe history of pro wrestling in Europe,
(57:13):
and that covers a lot of ground. It's going to be one of the
biggest shows in the history of theworld. And we'll see how the final
run up what we generate, butI think it's safe to say that there's
gonna be eighty thousand people there thisweekend and there's going to be historic revenues
(57:35):
for AW, but also should bea historic night for pro wrestling in England,
in a historic day for all ofyou back in America. I can't
stress it up. It's going tobe different than anything we've done for the
viewing habits of our pay per viewaudience to have AW on in this particular
window when you know, normally thiswould be when NFL is going to be
(57:57):
starting on a Sunday one pm EasternNoon's Central and of course ten am Pacific.
Very familiar NFL kickoff time to alot of people, so very much
looking forward to that. Thank you. Thanks Alistair. Invite you to email
the show with feedback or questions orcomments. That email address is Wade Keller

Also welcome your feedback on Twitter. You can follow us on Twitter at pw

the Wade Keller. So we're gonnamove along again. Just a reminder,
(58:40):
one question per per person. We'redoing well here. John Pollock from Post
Wrestling is next, followed by AmyNemity from Wrestling Drawing. John, Hi,
Tony. I just wanted to goback and ask you when you learned
of the situation with Cash Wheeler. Was it last week as everyone else did,
(59:00):
or were you aware of this backat the end of July when the
incident allegedly occurred because of the uh, you know the nature of it.
I'll be honest, it's not likeI've known for a long time what was
going on here about On the otherhand, I have tried to gather all
(59:21):
the facts and information and I stillthink, you know, we don't have
all the facts here, and youknow, I don't want to comment too
much on the situation, but we'restill gathering information and that's what I've been
trying to do for the several days. Thanks John, all right, Thanks
(59:42):
Thanks John. Amy Nevity from RussellJoy. You are next followed by Brandon
Thurston from Russell Nomics. Amy.Hi, Tony, congratulations on this historic
event with all in. I wantto sort of circle back to the first
all in. I've noticed that MJFwas in the very first match of the
(01:00:05):
first all in against Matt Cross, and now we will be kicking off the
show again with Adam Cole fighting AussieOpen for the r H tag titles.
Then he will be main eventing thisshow as the World champion against Adam Cole
fighting for of course, the Adegree World Championship. I wanted to know
what was your thought process in bookingthis card, how much did you consider
(01:00:29):
the first all in and how manytie ins you could make on this historic
show. Thank you for your time. That's a great question. Well,
you've opened me up for several thingsthere and I appreciate it. Well.
I definitely was cognizant that MJF hadopened the original All In, and he
also was in the first match weever had at the original Double or Nothing,
(01:00:53):
the Casino Battle Royale that he wasfeatured in and involved with Hangman Page,
and there was of course MJF onthe original All In. We also
as we approached this card, absolutelytook that into consideration. But really I
(01:01:14):
felt like MJF Adam Cole is oneof the best stories we've ever told,
maybe the best story we've ever toldon television, and people are very,
very excited about it. People wantto know what's coming next with Adam Cole
and MJF. And absolutely that hasbeen our focus as a main event.
(01:01:36):
And I was cognizant of mjf's historywas All In and even before there wasn't
eight his involvement with that show. There are definitely some callbacks, you know,
to the original All In. I'veI've tried to utilize the footage and
video packages and referenced it when Ifirst announced the event would be coming to
(01:01:58):
Wembley Stadium, And in addition tousing some of those video and referencing the
history of the original All In,we've been using the is all In graphics.
When we make an announcement that somebodyis going to be participating on the
card, or if it's multiple people, that they are all in. And
(01:02:19):
I think people have enjoyed seeing thatretro feel. I have taken some amusement
as people have wondered why the Elitewould be in a trio's match on All
In when the main events of theoriginal All In was a trios match that
you know, featured great wrestlers. And we have another elite trio's match with
(01:02:42):
Kota Boushi in it and top membersof the Elite faction in a trios match,
and I thought that was kind offun because that was also something from
the original All In. Absolutely veryexcited about the card, and there's some
great tie into the original old show. So many people who participated on the
first event are going to be apart of this event too. And I
(01:03:06):
was there five years ago and itwas very influential event in pro wrestling,
and when I purchased Bring Them Onor, one of the things I was
very excited about was to own thatvideo in our library now as well.
And I'm sure that this event iscoming Sunday will not only live up to
(01:03:27):
the expectations of the original all In, but take that name, take everything
that was built that day, andtake it to the next level. Thank
you, Amy, Brandon Thurston fromRustle Nomics, you are next. This
Mueller from Bleacher Report, you areon deck. Brandon. Tony thinks your
(01:03:50):
time today looks like all In isgoing to be among the highest attendances ever,
maybe both in terms of paid attendanceand totally tenants. And as I'm
sure you know, there's a lotof controversy around the two shows, at
least that that you're in the neighborhoodnow Rustle Me three and Rustle Me at
three two. I was wondering ifyou would be willing after the show is
(01:04:11):
done and all the tickets are sold, if it does set the record,
would you be willing to make theticket audit or other records available to the
media, just to minimize the controversythat it feels like he's going to be
inevitable after the show. I amnot sure. I've never been in that
position before, so what would WWI'm sorry to follow up my question with
a question, Brandon, what wouldWW do? In my position? They
(01:04:36):
would put out a press press releaseand with a number that may include rushers
and ticket takers and personnel and thingslike that. Okay, I'm not sure
what I'm gonna do yet, butI've never but it's fun being in position
for the first time ever, soI'm just wondering, Uh, Well,
I'll have to take it all intoaccount, and we'll definitely be doing a
(01:04:57):
very thorough audit of the building andI will get you guys at best as
I can an accurate number, asI always do, and I've never been
in that particular position before to dothat match. So I look forward to
announcing an accurate number and I'm notsure how long it'll take us to come
up with it, but I'm butI'm very excited to have a good number
(01:05:20):
for you guys on Sunday, andhopefully it'll be a historic number that we
can all get excited about. Buthonestly, whether you know wherever it falls,
I think it's going to fall, certainly is one of the most successful
events ever. And you know,it's not about really nickel and diming.
I think it's about packing the stadium, which we have done and it's a
(01:05:42):
very very important milestone for us.So I'm very pumped up for it wherever
it falls. Thanks Brandon, Thankyou Brandon. Chris Muller from Bleacher Report,
you are NAT's. Stephanie Chase fromDigital Spy follows Chris Chris Hey,
Donny Hey. So, with Wembleybeing such a big success already before it
(01:06:06):
even happened, it has to kindof pique your interest in doing international pay
per views more often. So I'mkind of curious if you had other countries
on a list maybe that you're alreadykind of scouting for future events. Well,
it's a great question. We haveaw on in one hundred and fifty
countries around the world now, sothere's definitely more opportunities for international events,
(01:06:30):
and this will be a great learningexperience for us. You know, we
did Forbidden Door in Toronto, whichis obviously a lot closer to America,
so the logistics were complicated, butthey weren't nearly as complicated as what's happening
right now, which you've got agood percentage of the AHw production team is
not going to be at TV thisweek. They're going to be in Georgia
(01:06:53):
making it happen. And I'm sorry, you know, excuse me. They're
not going to be in Georgia. This week they're going to be in London
making it happen, and while we'reputting the TV together in Georgia, we're
going to have a good percentage ofour team in London assembling a set and
loading into Wembley. We'll learn alot from this, and I expect more
(01:07:14):
international events in the future. Asfar as where we would go, it's
a great question. I'm not sureyet, but certainly it's been a very
good year for us with international touring. Is our biggest events have actually been
these international events with All In andnow Forbidden Door, which is gonna be
another one of our top gates we'veever had. So it's definitely something we
(01:07:38):
want to keep doing. And fora young company like ourselves that launched in
America but launched with a great TVpartner overseas and ITV in the UK in
particular, this is something I've wantedto do for a long time, and
I think the strength of the TVpartnership in England that we've implemented from the
(01:08:00):
very beginning before we ever launched, helped to put us in this position because
of the power of ITV in theUK. Thanks Man, Thanks Chris,
longing for some nostalgia, or maybeyou want to learn some wrestling history.
They'll miss. The nineties Pass castevery Friday on the PW Torch Daily Cast

The Torch reported it thirty years ago. That's the nineties Pass casts every Friday

(01:09:00):
Bill Pritchard from Russell Zone will followselfing, Hey Tony, how are you
well, Stephanie, how are you? I'm great? Thank you. I
wanted to ask because of the eliterecently we signed with Omega and the Young
Bucks staying on as EVPs as well, how would you define their roles as
EVPs now, especially if you compareit to wrestlers such as Chris Jericho and
(01:09:26):
Cmpunk, who also appeared to doa lot backstage but don't hold any title.
Well, that's a great question.I think it is a variety of
responsibilities that different people backstage carry certainlyfrom the very beginning of a w Kanye
Omega, Matt Jacks and Nijacks andhave been very involved in coming up with
(01:09:50):
ideas and helping build some of themajor events, including the original all In,
which was actually before aw even launchedand is brilliant creation from the Young
Bucks. And I think that within particular Kenny Omega and the Young Bucks,
(01:10:14):
they have a great connection to thefabric of the company in the history
of the company, and as we'vegone on, I've added people to the
team, people that work backstage, people that are also executives. Some of
them are wrestlers, but for themost part, you know, there's not
a lot of people that carry theexecutive title and are featured on the wrestling
(01:10:36):
show so regularly and so importantly asKenny Omega and the Young Bucks. So
I do think as we approach thefirst ever aw All and it's a great
time to look back at all thegreat things that Kenny Omega and the Young
Bucks have done here in aw Andof course there are three of the four
(01:11:00):
original executive vice presidents along with CodyRhodes, and the four of them put
together an event with the original allIn that has stood the test of time
and captured the imaginations of fans aroundthe world. And based on the success
of that original event, I thoughtthat bringing the first ever aw all in
(01:11:21):
had the potential to be our biggestevent ever and it has been. So
it's a huge blessing for the companyand in large part thanks to the elite
Kenny Omega and the Unbucks for creatingall in. So there's still a huge
part of the company and very excitedto have them participating in all In five
(01:11:43):
years later. Thank you very much, Stephani, Thanks Stephanie. Bill Pritcher
from Russell Zone, you or next, and then I've got to write in
question Tony from Mike Johnson at PWInsider. For now it's Bill Great,
Good afternoon, Tony. How areyou. I'm good, afternoon, Dylan
very well, how are you,sir good? I wanted to ask about
(01:12:08):
the actual match card that's been announced, if you could comment on this being
the final card or if anything elsecould be added. I know, you
know, specifically Paul Whites kind oftease something with Captain Insano, and there's
some other matches that maybe fans expectedto be announced that aren't yet could you
(01:12:29):
comment on how final what I thinkit's nine matches are this is. There
will be adjustments to the card. Some of them have been played from the
beginning, some of them are thingsthat we're dealing with on the fly.
I would love it if the firstthing I wrote down months ago for every
(01:12:51):
pay per view card was what actuallycame to life. It is rarely the
case that you put idea is downon paper and then months and months go
by and there's no major changes tothat set of ideas. I wish that
(01:13:12):
everything in pro wrestling happen in avacuum and that all of our best ideas
as they played out on paper didn'tget changed up. This has been very
challenging, but honestly, I've beenthrough a lot of challenging stuff, and
I understand when somebody gets injured. On one hand, you could you can
blame the company for that. Imean, there're fluke thing. So if
(01:13:32):
two wrestlers go out and have amatch and somebody gets injured in the match
doing a wrestling move, look thatlike the company's sure like we put them
in the wrestling match. There's aninjury, it is our fault. But
on the other hand, anytime wedo a show, there's going to be
a bunch of wrestling matches, andyou actually accept the possibility there may be
injuries and things that are going tochange the card. There's been a lot
(01:13:55):
of that with this show. WhatI'm very very very very grateful for is
that none of it has involved MJFand Adam Cole, which could have happened.
Certainly last year, for example,I lost Adam Cole twice in one
summer. Not only did I loseAdam Cole twice in one summer within the
span of four days due to injuries, I lost seem Punk, Brian Danielson,
(01:14:16):
and Adam Cole all for extended periodsof time within two shows that happened
four days apart, and that wouldbe there, I guess three days apart.
So then three days I lost Punk, Bryan and Cole. Last summer
twenty two between Double or Nothing andDynamite Episode one thirty nine at the Forum,
(01:14:38):
and then you know that summer wasvery challenging. We was already challenging
with Kenny Omega being out, MJFhad stepped away. There's a challenging summer,
but I think we worked through itand came out of it in a
good position. There has not beenthat many injuries all at once, but
(01:15:01):
then slowly, kind of want ata time, things have added up and
they changed the card a lot,so Brian Danielson with somebody I wanted to
have prominently involved in this card aswell. Certainly, this MJF Adam Cole
story has been something that has beenin the works, the idea of them
as the tag team, and it'sjust clicked so beautifully, and their ideas
(01:15:25):
you have on paper that click. And you know, I love working with
MJF and Adam Cole and their stuffis going so well. I'm so happy.

(01:16:40):
real blessing for the company, andI think a real blessing for this pay
per view, and I will,as I say this, if I am
now going to knock on wood tentimes that it stays this way now as
of right now, I have noreason to believe as of now that there
will be a status change to thetag team title. Man. Obviously,
(01:17:00):
we'll keep an eye on that situation. I'm not saying I'm taking it lightly,
but as of what I've seen rightnow, I haven't seen enough to
make a change there and I'm notexpecting to. But we'll keep an eye
on it, and I'm taking itthat seriously. But it is also one
of the most important matches in thehistory of the company, and I'm very
excited about it, and as itstands right now, I think it's going
(01:17:21):
to be one of the greatest tagteam matches we've had, and it's certainly
one of the greatest nights we've had, so I believe it's great fitting that
we have this huge World Championship matchMJF vers Adam Cole that's been building here
in aw literally for months, andthis huge World Tag Team Championship that we've
been wanting to see for years withYoung Bucks versus FTR, and very excited
(01:17:46):
about both those world title matches. Then there's been a lot of other changes
throughout the car Ryan Danielson, whois such an important part of a w
I had figured in to be inone of the main match is on this
show, and losing Brian Danielson toany wrestling company at any point in history
is going to be just very challengingas it was when we lost him in
(01:18:10):
the past. It's to a completelydifferent injury and really a fluke thing that
happened in Forbidden Door that nobody couldhave predicted and it's nobody's fault. And
then we lost two of our topBritish stars, Jamie Hayder and Pack who
I wanted to both be very prominentlyinvolved in this show. I think it's
(01:18:30):
it's fair to say that they arethe top homegrown in Jamie Hayder's case,
female British star and probably the topsignature male British star of the company and
Pac, although I wouldn't say it'scompletely fair to call Pack homegrown, since
he had a lot of experience wrestlingon television worldwide before he arrived here.
(01:18:51):
But to lose Brian Danielson, Packand Jamie Hayter that changed a lot of
plan. But he knew that theywere all probably going to be out in
recent weeks and had time to planfor that. Now I'm going to be
honest with you about more stuff.I expect more changes. They were not
changes I wanted to make or plannedto make. I'm not talking about the
(01:19:13):
aforementioned matches, not the World Championshipmatch, or even the World Tag Team
Title match or any of these othermatches that I just brought up. There
will probably be some other changes tothe card necessitated by think kaplan in the
real world stuff in some cases, stuff there's nobody's fault, but stuff that
is not related to the world ofprofessional wrestling. And I am going to
(01:19:36):
try to work through this week tomake it as strong as possible, that
actually making the card hopefully better thanit has been. But yeah, there
will be changes the card. I'mplanning to add something and I might have
to make some changes within the bodyof the cards stands right now, but
they're not substantive changes that will changethe quality of the show, and I'm
(01:19:58):
very glad that the big matches arein such a good position right now.
And also, to be honest,I think you're you're gonna have to stay
tuned and then after you see somechanges, I you know, whether it's
in the scrum, after the payper view or whenever, I can talk
to you more about when and whyI decided to do those. But it's
not like there were things that evena week or two I knew about or
(01:20:20):
was expecting to have to change. And that's part of pro wrestling, you
know. I've seen some people talkingabout the way they've the way the show's
been built, and I think alot of people would agree that MJF and
Adam Cole, the main event fromthe very beginning, has had a lot
(01:20:40):
of attention by designing, and thathas been a Bedrock program, and I
think with a big wrestling pay perview, you want to spend a lot
of time building up that main eventand have a lot of storytelling. In
the case of MJF and Adam Cole, there is a lot of storytelling,
and we put up a while backleading into the MJF and Adam Cole versus
(01:21:02):
FTR tag team match, we hada video we put together that was a
kind of a best sell or asuper cut of all the moments since MJF
and Adam Cole first started interacting aheadof their first match, which was a
(01:21:26):
thirty minute draw, and then thethings that have happened in the weeks since,
as they became an unlikely tag teamand very successful and became friends,
and as that friendship grew, wefollowed it closely. It's been really interesting
stuff, and we made a supercut of that that we posted before their
tag team title shot against FTR,and then we recently updated it with everything
(01:21:50):
that's happened, including that match againstFTR for the Tag Team Championships, which
is a great match on July twentynine and Hartford on Collision, and then
everything that's happened since then. SinceJuly twenty nine with Adam Cole and m
JF leading into this match. It'sa fascinating story and actually the video we
posted, I believe is almost twohours long, and so we've got nearly
(01:22:15):
two hours a story just really featuringthe best Selve clips and there's a lot
of information in there. So foranybody who wants to go back and see
the story, there's a lot ofstorytelling and there really is a lot there.
I also put up a video lookingback at the history of FTR and
Young Bucks because I'm so excited aboutthe match. He's so excited about the
(01:22:36):
Tag Team Championship being at stake, and these two teams in these four men
in this position, Matt, Nick, Dax and Cash. They've come so
far in their careers. And I'vefollowed both teams for a long time before
there was an ADW I'm a hugefan of both teams. It was a
(01:22:57):
dream come true to have that matchin Daily's place for the first time ever.
I actually sat in Gorilla producing thatmatch, and I had Shack sitting
next to me. I watched itwith one of my heroes and he was
blown away by the quality of thematch and the quality of that show,
and that was one of my greatestnights as a wrestling producer. Full Gear
twenty twenty in Jacksonville and the energyof the crowd, even though it was
(01:23:21):
a physically distanced crowd and only puttingtwenty five percent capacity in because of COVID
restrictions. The people that showed upthat night made that a great show,
including the fans who came, andof course the wrestlers who made it a
great night of wrestling. And tohave at tr versus Young Bucks here,
(01:23:42):
it's a really big deal. Andyou look back at some of their history
over the years and how far thisgoes back. It really is a throwback
to the old days of Daily's place, and I think it's going to be
a great match. Then, inaddition to those history videos posted with FTR
and the Jumbucks and with Adam Coleand MJF, we posted a look at
(01:24:03):
the history with Swerve and Darby Allen. I don't know if they posted yet.
I'm not sure if they have.I actually asked them because I asked
for these videos myself and I hadthem made to show people some of the
storytelling we've been doing. And youknow, some people in case they missed
a week here or there, ormissed a step in the story, they
can catch it. I actually askedhim to go back a little further and
(01:24:25):
do an extended cut of the Darbyand Swerve because their story really even goes
back to last year when Swerve firstcame into a e W you russelled Darby
and an Owen Hart qualifier. Weestablished their friendship with each other. They
were involved in the Casino Battle Royaland it was the first time we saw
a Swerve with a little bit ofquestionable character as albeit it's everyman himself,
(01:24:46):
but he threw out his good friendDarby Allen from behind. Then in the
first ever Royal rampage, he triedto do it again and Darby caught on
and Darby swerved the Swerver this time, and so it showed. I think
they have an interesting friendship and adynamic that goes pretty far back here in
(01:25:10):
aw and it picked back up recentlythis year in the Blind Eliminator Tag team
tournament when Orange Cassidy and Darby Allenadvanced over Swerve and his former friend former
partner Keith and it was a greatmatch and it reignited things between Darby and
Swerve in a major way, andthen Swerve ended up costing darbyan Orange their
(01:25:34):
match in that tournament. It's ledto a lot of interesting stuff in recent
weeks between Darbian Swerve and I reallyfeel like those two are the focused Darby
and Swerve, but we've added alot of interesting characters and built an interesting
story along the way involving the MogulEmbassy, Nick Wayne and Sting. But
(01:25:56):
Darbian Swerve have a lot of historyand I want people to see that.
You know that it's really largely aboutthose two, and there's gonna be a
lot of great stuff on this card. I will be adding stuff, as
I said, but I will alsobe changing things. There were not things
I was expecting to change, butthat is the nature of wrestling. But
I am very excited about what webuilt here and I think the stories we've
(01:26:16):
been telling we will still be ableto tell. I'm very optimistic. Thank
you, Thank you, Johnny needan extra dose of positivity in your wrestling

mobile site. See you in theParadise. Riding question at the Mike Johnson
to PW Insider and after that we'regoing to go to dominate the Angelo from
inside the Ropes Tony. Mike asked, what is your father's reaction then to
all in London ticket sales and allthis success thus far, it's been a
(01:27:49):
long way or it is a longway from him taking you to the ECW
Arena and film. Yeah, itis. It is a long way.
Well, I know, my dad'svery proud of the success of AW and
in particular All In. This isall happening because of him. He is
(01:28:13):
the reason that I've been in aposition to launch aid W in the first
place. And he's the reason Istarted going to Wembley Stadium and built these
relationships, and he's the reason Ibuilt the relationships in sports that allowed me
to get my foot in the doorto make AW a reality five years ago.
And he is the most savvy businessmanI know, and he is very
(01:28:45):
aware of the huge success that isAW all In at Wembley Stadium. So
I was actually with him last nighttalking about it and he's very, very
excited about the event and everything itrepresents. It's definitely a long way from
(01:29:05):
him taking me to see wrestling eventsas a young kid, and he was
never a wrestling fan. It wasn'tlike he wanted to be there. But
I think that speaks to what agood daddy was because he supported me being
a wrestling fan, even though hedidn't really like wrestling or didn't care particularly
(01:29:27):
about it. It wasn't for him. He was doing it. He was
doing it for me, which I'vealways really appreciated. Thanks. Thank you,
Tonny Dominic de'angelo from Inside the Ropes. You are nets and we're gonna
follow Dominic with Robert Butler from theBBC Dominic. How you doing today?
(01:29:50):
Doing good? I tell you, man, I'm doing great. Yeah.
Congratulations on all incoming up here, and I wanted to commend you to for
the Maui Food Bank doing that alllast week for Dynamite Rampage and Collision.
Question I had was regarding Sting.Obviously had a little bit of a persona
change, just a tweak this pastDynamite, but a lot of speculation or
(01:30:14):
early on was that he was goingto be this might have been his final
match coming up here, but itlooks like he'll be around for maybe a
little bit longer. It was curiousif you had any more further conversation with
Staying about a contract situation, maybeextending him or him lingering around a little
bit longer for you. I haveSting is very well aware I would like
(01:30:34):
him to stay as long as hefeels physically up to raffling, and I
think he really enjoyed doing it.He's having a lot of fun. Sometimes
you hit on things in life youthink are going to be good and they
turn out to be great. Andfor me, a good example of that
(01:30:55):
is Sting and Darby together not juston screen, but off screen too.
I've been very, very fortunate thatStay listen to my suggestion when he first
was thinking about coming back to thering, and I suggested that he watched
some matches from a young man namedDarby Allen and check him out and get
(01:31:19):
familiar with him. And I wantedto introduce the two of them because I
thought they could really hit it offand they have, to say the least,
and in the ring and out ofthe ring, they are an incredible
pair. And I'm very excited thatthis will be one of the great moments
in one of the great careers inwrestling. And we've really had some very
(01:31:44):
special moments for staying in aw whereI think we'll be able to hold his
aw run up as these were manyof the really special, great moments in
my great career. I think WembleyStadium will be a really important chapter and
certainly grand Slam Stinging Derby versus FTRat the original Grand Slam, I think
(01:32:06):
was one of the great match ofthe Sting's career. And then he went
back to New York and had anothergreat match last year against the House of
Black. And I really think thatso many of the memories we created here
was Staying. I also would wouldinclude the original Forbidden Door. We're Stinging
Darby wrestled against the Young Bucks andthe Bullet Club. What an amazing match.
(01:32:29):
What a great start at was tothe match too, with Staying jumping
out of the shadows onto the YoungBucks. It was an amazing match,
and there's been so many great memoriesfor Staying in AW. I don't want
it to end, and I won'tbe the one to pull the plug on
(01:32:50):
it. So when the time comes, Ding knows he needs to be the
one to say I don't want todo this anymore, because I'm going to
let him go as long as hewants, and I want him to stay
as long as he can. Andit's so important to me that we let
(01:33:13):
Sting finish his career the right way. And he's on this amazing run in
AW. He's undefeated through all thesegreat matches staying has had. He's built
the best winning streak in all ofa w which to me is befitting of
one of the best wrestlers of alltime. Thank you very much, Thank
you, Dominic. I want torecognize we had a question earlier from writing
(01:33:36):
from Steve Herman from the BBC thatI believe you've already answered, Tony,
but Robert Butler from the BBC hassomething for you here. Next we're gonna
follow Robert with John Alba from Fight. Robert. Yeah, thanks very much.
I'm sure you're aware of how excitedeveryone's over here in the UK for
this show, Tony, Everyone's sopumped for I'll try to talk about Sayah
(01:33:57):
and the impact she's had on thecompany, and also the fact that she's
got this this incredible family from justup the road from Wembley Stadium in Norwich,
and I know they're going to bethere, and her brother Zach has
already been part of a w televisionand I know he's doing all the cancer
to get that big break in America. So so talk to us about Saya
and her and her family's impacts onthe wrestling world. Absolutely, Saraa is
(01:34:21):
a great wrestler. Saria is agreat part of AW She's been here for
nearly one year now and certainly todayas it stands, this is the biggest
moment of her AW run and Ithink it's a big opportunity in her career,
(01:34:45):
one of the biggest. And Sariahas had a great wrestling career.
It's been documented obviously on film andin print and it is the stuff of
legend. She's part of a tremendouswrestling family. We're excited to have them
as part of the event. Justup the road maybe a little. I
(01:35:06):
think Carol Road is quite a drivefrom one stadium a start call, but
nevertheless it is uh. It isa drive, It's drivable and I love
when we stadium very much. Butthe place Sirea is from is lovely as
well. I think Norwich is great. I've visited Carrol Road. I've gone
(01:35:29):
with Fulham there and it really enjoyedit and enjoyed meeting Delia Smith and Stephen
Fry and all the people there. And they have a very nice group of
people at the football club as well. It's a great town. So Sorea
is an amazing, amazing story. She's an amazing person. And she's got
(01:35:50):
a great group around her. Ihave. I think very highly of Srea
and Ruby So and Tony Storm, who's also part of this big four way
match for the women's World Championship thatTony Storm is held twice, and it's
a very interesting dynamic what's happening withSoreya and Tony now. And to have
(01:36:12):
the two of them in there alongwith two former world champions in doctor Brett
Baker DMD and Hikaroshida, who arearguably the two most successful women's wrestlers ever
in AW it's a great group. It should be a great match, and
certainly there'll be a lot of Sorea'sfriends and family and fans in the stands
(01:36:34):
on Sunday at Wembley Stadium. ThanksMan, Thank you, Robert. You

(01:37:45):
N Albaco Fight you Are walk Downwill be followed by Michael Shallick from
se Scoops. Hey, Tony, thanks Jim for the time. Thank you
Tony for the time as well.Congratulations on the big events coming up to
these next couple of weeks. Doyou have been really vocal Tony the past
month or so about the streaming potentialfor AW and the future specifically as far
(01:38:10):
as Max is concerned. And I'msure that leveraging a show like All In
into further distribution would be something youguys would have interest in. I'm curious
from your discussions with Warner Brothers Discoverywhat lens do they view AW through as
a property. We've heard reports thatthey're going to repurpose Bleacher Report for the
(01:38:30):
Max platform as a tier. Dothey view AW as a sports centric program
or does it fall in a differentcategory. I believe we do fall in
with sports. We're a very, very prominent wive sporting event. We do
(01:38:51):
tremendous ratings. They have seen apress release that Warner Brothers Discovery put out
yesterday afternoon publicizing the success of AWDynamite Fight for the Fallen, which was
the number one show on cable andmultiple demographic and among young men was the
number two show on all of televisionincluding network and Warner Brothers Discovery very excited
(01:39:16):
about the potential of AW. Inthe past year, I've been very fortunate
to get to spend time with misterz Asloff, and misters Asloff is really
excited about AW. I will takeit a step further. I saw misters
Asloft over the holidays with my fatherand I walked up to him and introduced
(01:39:38):
my father to them, and thefirst thing he said to my dad is
your son is Efen killing it.So I was very up pleased with that
and proud of that and always nicewhen your boss tells your dad that you're
doing a good job. And Ibelieve it's true. I think we're doing
a great job. And Warner BrothersDiscoveries very pleased with the work we're doing.
(01:40:00):
And I'm just glad that mister Daslawlikes what we're doing. I think
that votes really well for everybody ata W and the future of the company,
and hopefully good for the wreftling businessto have one of the most powerful
people in entertainment taking notice of whatwe're doing, paying attention doing it,
and trying to create opportunities for us. Thank you, Thank you, John.
(01:40:21):
Okay, we've got time for twomore and we're gonna go with Michael
Shallick from se Scoops and we're gonnaclose with Lee Stewart from Liverpool Live Radio.
Michael Hey, Tony best of Blockthis Weekend. Earlier this month,
a e W announced that the Eliteshas signed new multi year contracts. Mark
(01:40:45):
Henry later stated a radio appearance thatKenny Omega signed for four years. So
please you can correct me if that'sincorrect, But my question is did the
Young Bucks and Hangman Page resigned forthe same length of time Four years.
I guess to go back and lookat the paperwork, I think that the
lengths are a little bit different, but the start dates are also a little
(01:41:09):
bit different too, And you know, people at midtime due to injuries different
points in their contracts, so theywere expiring at different points too, So
it's not like everybody deals were expiringon the same day. So I don't
think they all end exactly on thesame day. But everybody signed a multi
year deal and is going to behere for several years, and I've had
(01:41:31):
really good talks with all of them. I have a lot of respect for
them. I'm actually going to befilming something with Kenny later today that I'm
really looking forward to, and Ihave really enjoyed. I've always enjoyed spending
time with Kenny, but but reallyrecently, I've really gotten to bondod of
them a lot and enjoyed it.And the young Bucks and hanging in Page.
(01:41:54):
Have so much respect for them. We'll be seeing them very soon as
well. I'm literally going soon asI get off this phone to film something
with Kenny. Though, since youasked about them, it made me think
of it, and I am reallyexcited that they're all going to say I
don't think the dates all match upexactly, but that the idea is the
same with all four deals, thatwe want them all here to be multiple
(01:42:16):
years in a w and that's whywe did multi year deals at all.
Thank you, Thank you, MichaelOkay. Last one is coming as promised
from Lee's Stewart from Liverpool Live Radio. Lee. It was touched upon that
(01:42:36):
obviously, all in being the notonly the largest selling wrestling events in the
UK, but the largest in aidsof you history. With that, with
your connections with ITV and other UKconnections, are we can we expect to
see a bit more of a regularaccountance in the UK for days of a
(01:42:57):
year. I will save that announcementfor another date, but I think it's
a very good question. I unfortunately, because you asked the question now,
is leading into this event. Idon't think it's the best timing for me
to answer it. But I dothink I am very excited about the event
and what it represents. And ifyou look at you know how I've done
(01:43:23):
things historically, when something succeeds likethis, I think there's a there's a
very good chance for that, andI'm so optimistic about the future of a
w In the UK. We havea great relationship with ITV, as you
mentioned. I think they are theperfect partner for aw pro wrestling in England
(01:43:47):
and they have that history of carryingpro wrestling for decades, and I believe
ITV is the channel that is themost closely associated with the history of pro
wrestling, So it's very fitting thatwe have that relationship with ITV. You
know, just as in America wehave that relationship with TVs and TNT,
which our channel to have an amazinghistory of caring pro wrestling, and in
(01:44:12):
Canada with TSN that has a greathistory with wrestling. Well, England we
have that with ITV, and ITVis also the most powerful commercial channel in
the country. And in that partnership, it's really helped us grow the business
in the UK and helped us getto the point where we could do something
this exciting where we're expecting eighty thousandfans at Whmbley Stadium this Sunday for all
(01:44:38):
in okay O Ali. Thank you, Tony. We had like about sixty
seconds. Anything you want to closewith no, I really appreciate it.
Jim, thank you for moderating thisand I just want to thank everybody in
the wrestling media for taking the timeand listening in on this call. I
hope I got to answer almost everybody'squestion, and if you didn't get one
(01:44:59):
in, please keep coming. Iwill try to get you in and also
please come to the shows. Anybodywho comes to the pay per view scrum,
I always try to make sure ifyou're there that you get at least
one question answered, and I lookforward to seeing a lot of you soon,
hopefully either in London or in Chicagoor another show in the future.
As I mentioned, there will stillbe some changes to the card, but
(01:45:24):
the substance of the card and theessence of the card will not only remain
intact, but I think they willget better in the days to come as
a result of necessitated things I willdo. And I know we're all really
looking forward to the show. Iam particularly looking forward to MJF versus Adam
cole Ftr versus Young Bucks and hopefullyone of the best nights of pro wrestling
(01:45:47):
in the history of aw Thank youvery much. I know that we've had
a lot of great shows. Thisis going to be unlike anything we've ever
done. I believe in addition toa great night of pro wrestling, this
will be the most memorable night overallas a company that we've ever had,
(01:46:09):
and it may stand the test oftime as the one people always point to.
And it wouldn't be possible without allof you. So thank you very
much, all of you who attendedthis and everybody who covers AW and gives
us the opportunity to to do somethingthat is to me a dream come true,
and this show in particular is theembodiment of that dream. Nobody ever
(01:46:33):
would have thought this was possible, believe it or not. I've this isn't
the first show I've ever drawn upto go to play at Wembley Stadium.
I've been as a fan. Iwrote wrestling shows for years and one of
my real dreams was always to doa Wembley show. And thanks all of
(01:46:53):
you and all the great wrestlers inAW, we're going to make it come
true this Sunday. So thank youvery much. That's wonderful. Thanks Tony
