Speaker 1 (00:01):
Welcome in to the opening line report. I am Kelly Stewart,
also known as Kelly in Vegas. We're gonna break down
what we saw last week in the NFL, and we're
going to talk about NFL Week five. We've got Teddy
covers the man with all the information. He shares his
notes with me, and I think it's absolutely incredible. He writes,
just I look at it and I'm like, oh my god,

(00:22):
I gotta reproof read this, Teddy, because you write how
you're thinking. Here we go, Here's what I saw, Here's
what we need to know next game. And that is
what this show is all about. Information early in the week,
and that is why we are here, bright and early
on a Monday morning there on the West Coast. Teddy
covers anything you want to get into before we talk
Monday night football.

Speaker 2 (00:43):
I want to say thanks man. The support for this
show this year has been overwhelming and I really appreciate it. Guys.
We appreciate the likes, we appreciate the comments, we appreciate
the follows. The goal is and this is why this
is the number one football show on Monday mornings anywhere
out there. All Right, we're gonna give you a ton
of info. You know, be ready, let's rock and roll.

Speaker 1 (01:04):
Yeah, let's rock and roll, Teddy. We've got two Monday
night football games here. Neither one of them is well,
in my opinion, anything to write home about. But we'll
start off with the Jets at Miami.

Speaker 2 (01:15):
So I don't care if it's a marquee matchup orf
the match. We're alling three teams. They're all beatable games,
all right, and when you find an edge, you look
for it, So it doesn't matter to me. I literally
could care less whether it's you know, these marquee matchups
or not. Jets Dolphins a classic rivalry. That being said,
there's some urgency right now. Let's do an eba for
a Monday night football game tonight.

Speaker 1 (01:36):
Wow, right out of the gate. I wasn't even ready
to go yet. I haven't even hit that caffeine yet.

Speaker 2 (01:42):
Exactly. If you want the Dolphins, bet them right now.
All right, this one is still sitting at two and
a half. It's two and a half with juice. I'm
seeing the first three starting to pop up. It appears
as if Miami is the much more popular choice this
evening than the New York Jets. So again, you're not
going to get the worst of it at two and
a half. If you want the Dolphins, bet it's sooner

(02:03):
rather than later. Tol's been sitting forty four and a
half from the open. It really hasn't moved. I'm seeing
a little bit of underpush, but not enough to say
you got to get to the window with it. But
we are seeing some Dolphins money right now. We could
easily see more. So if you like Miami, play the
two and a half right now. If you like the Jets,
find a three now or just wait until later. Teddy
right lay at game tonight. Really, I mean that's been

(02:24):
sitting seven and a half forty four and a half
all week. You know, by the way, my lookheadline for
this Miami two and a half forty four and a half,
My pariy number was two. Lookhead line for Denver since
he was five and a half forty five and a half.
My pariy number six and a half for that game. Obviously,
the market's all right seven and a half right now.
So based on my numbers, there's a little bit of
value on the sincey side, But I'm not seeing any

(02:46):
indicators that this line's going back down to seven or anything.
Like that. So the urgency for Monday Night football tonight
is only if you like the Dolphins.

Speaker 1 (02:54):
All right, I was gonna ask in between the two
games something that looks really simplistic to me, Teddy, is
to tease the Jets up, tease the Broncos down. I
sit back on my couch, I relax. Tell me or
maybe that's the wrong thing to do here on Monday night.

Speaker 2 (03:10):
So if you're following basic strategy, that's what you're supposed
to do. You know, you're supposed to teach my teas
the Denver down to one and a half and tease
the Jets up to eight and a half. That's crossing
all the key numbers. I'm not gonna talk you out
of it. I have an opinion, a Bettable opinion on
Sincy Denver for the late game that you can get

(03:30):
right now on my homepagmt Dot buzz backslash TC.

Speaker 1 (03:34):
All right, let's get right into Thursday night football. Rams
at the forty Niners. Hand up, Teddy. I had the
Colts yesterday and I was not very happy with that result,
but that is okay, Niners. Though Marco gave me the
Jags on beat on it as his barking dog, and
I thought, and then John Murray said they were gonna
need the Niners, and I kind of pumped faked, and

(03:56):
I said, all right, I'm gonna bet the Jags. Sure enough,
rock Part Party back in action here for the Niners.
What do we need to know about him going in
to Thursday night football?

Speaker 2 (04:06):
So before I do that, just a little recap of
what happened yesterday. You know, it wasn't a bad day
for bad beats in the NFL. You know, Indy was
probably the worst of the bunch, and the over wasn't
in there. It wasn't very attractive either. That was probably
tells me the Vegas and the block field goal in
the final drive. But when it came to bad beats
to right sides that lost wasn't a whole lot of them.
Was a big day for over betters nine and four

(04:26):
to the over in Sunday Action yesterday. When it comes
to San fran and LA. With all these games, you
get four sets of points spreads, you get the look
ahead line. These are the bettable lines from last week.
I used the Westgates super book numbers. Sometimes I'll adjust
if Westgate is off market and I'll mention it when
that happens. I don't remember any of them this week.

(04:47):
They are like that. So but I use the Westgates
super but for the look ahead lines. So that tells
us how much yesterday's games affect these numbers. I'll give
you my powering number for these two teams. We'll talk
about where the line opened last night, and we'll talk
about and again with an opener. I use consensus numbers.
I don't use the odds logic got Live odd screen
for their openers. I use a consensus of books. Usually

(05:09):
a Sunday about five between five and six o'clock Pacific
time is when I'll write down what the quote unquote
openers are, and then we'll talk about where the money
has moved from the openers. So look aheadline here, Rams
minus three forty seven my powering number RAMS minus three
and a half markets opened last night three and a
half slash forty six and a half slast forty seven,

(05:29):
and that's pretty much what we're seeing today. Three and
a half for the Rams this morning total forty six
and a half slash forty seven. So we haven't seen
a whole lot of movement on this one yet. As
for La. Look, they were a wrong side yesterday and
they got there, and I'll give them credit, all right.
It was kind of the opposite of last week at

(05:50):
Philly with this time they fell behind and rallied late
to win. They had a couple of lucky breaks go
their way. We'll talk about that, we talk about Indy,
but Stafford made the throw when it mattered most, including
the game winner to two to two. You know, to
tow at well as one of these guys that doesn't
get a lot of PT and they're super excited when
he makes a big play, and obviously he did yesterday

(06:10):
to win the game. Puk and Devonte Adams might be
the best wide receiver due in the league right now.
They combined seventeen catches, two ord and twenty six yards
two touchdowns between them. So the Rams got away with
one yesterday came out victorious and now obviously at home
against San France. San Franco had plenty of support in

(06:31):
that crowd. The forty nine ers only punted twice, and
yet the offense was never in sync. They went zero
to one on fourth downs. They had four turnovers. All
of those four turnovers, by the way, it came on
first down for San Francisco, which is something that you know,
tells us that people are taking too many chances. In
that sense, the defense didn't force any party was in sharp.
You know, he was backed after missing two games with

(06:53):
that tow injury quote. As an offense, we have to
play better than today and our team knows it. Offense
needs to protect the ball. Defense need to go take it.
That's our game today. On offense, we didn't succeed in
any of it. It hurts. San fran has been out
rushed by the opponent each of the last three games.
They averaged just three point five yards per carry. They
ran thirty first in the NFL in yards per carry

(07:14):
year to date. This running game isn't working. But frankly,
I'm worried about the defense without Nick Bosa than the offense.
I mean, yes, they outgained Jacksonville by a yard per play,
but again that lies a little bit the allot of
punt return touchdown and special teams touchdowns. Remember this, special
teams touchdown. Teams that are good on special teams make
their stats look worse. Teams that are bad on special

(07:37):
teams make their stats look better. When you give a
punt return touchdown. The team is getting the offense and
you get two drives in a row, so you know,
and party did some things right. Three hundred yards, eight
hundred and eight different receivers, caind of pass. Ricky Piersoll
hurt his knee though he's been their best receiver, check
his status. Trent Williams talking about the three and one
start and if the Niners feel like a three and

(07:57):
one team, quote, what does a three and one team feel?
I mean, we've got seventeen games, so four weeks in
it don't matter. We got a Thursday night game, we
got a big of an arrival. That's all we're focused on.
The record will speak for itself at the end of
the year. That to me is a solid quote from
a veteran player, not worry too much about one win
or one loss, looking at the big picture. That being

(08:18):
setting in my parting number three and a half. The
game's lined at three and a half. So I'm not
seeing any initial value for this Thursday night affair, all.

Speaker 1 (08:25):
Right, minimal value there on Thursday night. We got lots
of value here on wager Talk, and it comes from
all of you guys, over a thousand of you guys
watching live right now. This is wonderful. Makes my heart
very happy. So give us that. Like, make sure you
guys are subscribed so you never miss another episode of
the opening line report, Seddi. One of the games that
I think has some interesting we'll call it scheduling. Right.

(08:47):
The Minnesota Viking is going to stay in Europe. Right.
They were just played and lost yesterday morning to the Steelers,
bright and early. Now they're taking on the Cleveland Browns,
who just got trounced by the Detroit Lions. Kind of
break down this early East coast kick, very early West
coast kick next Sunday.

Speaker 2 (09:05):
Yeah, yeah, just like this past week when you wake
up in Vegas six thirty am. Kickoff in Vegas nine
thirty for you on the East coast look aheadline here
there were some variants. There are four and a half
slash five, slash five and a half from Minnesota. Total
thirty eight and a half. Note that low total and
I was getting lower my party number Minnesota minus five.

(09:26):
The markets that was variants last night open three and
a half slash four s last four and a half
and all in between total from thirty eight and a half.
In the look head to thirty seven last night and
we're seeing thirty six and a halfs out there this morning.
The Browns are the ultimate under team, a defense that
can stop anyone, and an offense that really can't score

(09:48):
at all. I'll talk about the Cleveland side of the
equation first, then we'll talk about Minnesota staying in Europe.
And remember it's not like they're staying in the same stadium,
not in the staying in the same country. You know,
they're traveling from Ireland to London. It's a flight, it's
changing whole tells. It's a road game, but it's less
of a flight than their opponents had. But in terms
of a huge edge for Minnesota, I'm not gonna call
it a huge edge. It might be a you know,

(10:10):
I didn't give him anything in terms of from a
powerting standpoint from staying in Europe. Maybe give me a
half point. I did give him a half point, so
I give my half point for staying there. So is
that worth something? Not much? Anyhow, the Browns showed us yesterday,
and we remember this. We talk about bad teams off
a win. You know, they're not trustworthy. Last year they
went owing three straight up and against the spread off

(10:32):
their three victories and again this year, oh and one
off their victory. They got a great opening drive thirteen plays,
eighty plus yards, touchdown, and then got outscored thirty four
to three the rest of the game. Joe Flacco less
than fifty percent completions. He threw a couple of picks.
The rookie running back Quinn John Jenkins has been he
had a really good game. He's been solid. But nobody
else offensively did anything. They allowed a punt return touchdown.

(10:54):
The defense, what do we say, amazing again? They held
Detroit to two hundred and seventy seven yards four point
nine yards for play, sixteen first downs. You know, it's
hard to do that to the line's offense in Detroit,
especially when the offense had turned the ball over in punting.
That being said, team Stefanski quote, we need too many
things you can't do if you want to beat a
good team on the road. We obviously have to clean
these things up. Same thing he's been saying, Joe Flacco.

(11:16):
That first interception was on me. I didn't read the
coverage correctly and I threw it to the wrong spot.
It's really frustrating to make a mental mistake last night.
It's worth noting for everyone that wants to bring in
the rookies, all right, both starting tackles are hurt. Dwan
Jones out with a scene to any injury. Jack Conklin's
been inactive the last couple of weeks. If you want
to bring in a rookie quarterback against the Vikings defense

(11:38):
with both tackles out, you're asking for trouble. I would
not bench Joe Flacco at this stage of the season.
Flacco is, without a doubt, Without a doubt, Flacco is
their best option now from Minnesota. They're going from Dublin
to London, staying in Europe. Obviously, went Seid three hundred
and fifty passing yarages an though they chilled by marginall game,

(11:58):
but he had two interceptions. He had six sacks. Jordan
Addison was a factor in his first game back with
the eighty one yard touchdown. The defense struggled against the Steelers,
you know, and Steels ran for one hundred and thirty
one yards on four point five yards per Kerry to
give an eight r touchdown at DK metcalf. It was
an uncharacteristic performance from that Brian Flores defense. You know,
allowed five point nine yards per rush, didn't force a turnover.

(12:21):
They were minus two and turnovers. You know, they made mistakes.
Kevin O'Connell after the game. We just didn't do enough
to overcome either our own execution or the injuries or whatever.
And let's talk about injuries for Minnesota, all right. The
center Ryan Kelly out with a concussion. The tackle Brian
O'Neil was ruled out with a knee injury after getting

(12:41):
hurt on the Vikings field goal attempt in the first quarter.
In fact, by the end of the game, they were
playing with more backup off the lineman three than starters two.
So left guard Donovan Jackson's likely to miss at least
one more game, and I would expect that to be
the case here. So it is a Minnesota team with
uster injuries on the offs of line facing one of

(13:02):
the best defenses in the NFL. I can understand why
my powering number a little bit high compared to the
market right now based on that assessment.

Speaker 1 (13:12):
All right, Teddy, the Dolphins play the Jets night of
Monday Night Football, but we're gonna talk about their matchup
versus the Panthers next week. Panthers what do we make
of this team?

Speaker 2 (13:26):
What do you make of them? We make that we're
gonna bet against bad teams off a win, all right,
That's what Carolina was. Much like Cleveland. They got the w,
they exhaled and it was ugly. Look headline, pick them
Carolina and Miami. Total was anywhere from forty four and
a half to forty six and a half wide variants
on the total. My powering number prior to Monday night

(13:48):
football comes Miami minus a half a point. For what
it's worth, the market's open, Miami minus one and a half,
forty five and a half last night, and that's basically
what I'm seeing right now. There are some ones out
there Miami, and again the total I'm seeing forty four
and a halfs in forty six and a halfs right now.
If you'll like the Dolphins tonight, you can parlay Parley
Miami tonight with par again. They're playing on national TV.

(14:11):
If they look good, they'll be laying in Carolina. If
they look bad, Karen, this will be a pick them
or Carolina will be minus one or something like that.
So if you want a bad honor against Miami for tonight,
you can make two bets instead of one and potentially
get the best of the number if you're parlay on
the Dolphins twice or against the Dolphins twice. But I
mean Carolina, what they were a bad team off a win.

(14:32):
They led six to nothing, the mysticsra point after the
first drive, and then they allowed forty two straight points
to New England. You know, they were so far behind
that Andy Dalton got in the game. Rice Young one
on the bench, you know. And again this is a
game where the box score is gonna lie all right,
box score says Carolina, I'll gain New England, no turnovers
for either team. What happened, Well, the Panthers got ninety

(14:54):
one yards on a truly meaningless final drive with Andy
Dalton behind center, and New England with all the big
plays they made, they got to have a short fields.
They didn't have to put up a ton of yards.
Bryce Young after the game quote, it's on me, It's
on everybody in that locker room. We talked about that
after we can all take accountability. We all have to
look in the mirror. We all have to understand what
we can do better. Dave Canalis after the game head

(15:16):
coach quote, when it happens in all phases. I'm the
common denominator. I have to take responsibility for that. So
at least they're saying the right things. You know, the
leaders are saying, I screwed up. I gotta do better.
That being said. Another team with some significant injury concerns.
Wide receiver David Moore got hurt, the right guard Zavalla
got hurt. The defensive tackle Cam Jackson got hurt in

(15:36):
yesterday's game. So they're not healthy and they're not good.
And that's a problem even against Miami.

Speaker 1 (15:46):
All right, next game up also has some Monday night
football implications. The good old Jets Teddy versus the Cowboys. Man,
I went to bed last night hand up. I took
the Cowboys plus six and off, I said, I'm going
to bad. I woke up to whistles. My iPad was
going off, whistles, going crazy. I look and I'm like,

(16:08):
holy cow, here come the Cowboys. I think that that
was an impressive tie, if you will, how about that?
Does that count?

Speaker 2 (16:15):
Yeah? But the fact that so Dallas has to go
for that, they can't kick that field goal in overtime,
you just, I mean, you just the play calling on
second and third down was all, we're going to go
take four shots at the end zone, and they didn't.
I was surprised that they didn't and end up costing
them a potential w that being said, a potential w

(16:35):
You know, ties better than the loss. Not if you're
playing Survivor, it isn't you know ties both sides lose
for Survivor season wins. Huge deal with ties because they
don't count as wins either. So for Survivor for season wins,
bad news if you had Green Bay or Dallas. Right well,
green Bay particularly season wins or Dallas if you had
overs for those who teams, good news if you had unders.

(16:58):
Look aheadline here, Dallas my one and a half, forty
six and a half my powering number going into Monday
for night football, Dallas minus one. The markets opened one
and a half and forty six and a half. And
what do we seeing forty seven and a half right now?
If we see any offense from the Jets, We're gonna
see over money for this ball game, all right. The
markets want to play Dallas over. Dallas has played like

(17:20):
an overteam from the get go this season. I'm not
going to eba it because we're going in emergency betting
alder because we're going into Monday at football, and if
the Jets and Dolphins finished three nothing, we're not going
to see that over money. But if you see points
start being scored tonight and Monday night football, get to
the window and bet this one. I don't know if
it'll be up it. I won't be up turning the games.

(17:41):
So nevermind, bad advice, ignore that little one. Edit that out.
Oh shit, we're live. But the bottom line is there
could be opportunities to get involved here with the over
if we see points for Dallas and the Jets, and
I would be I would bet that sooner rather than later.
If we see points in bunches. I mean, you know,

(18:01):
the offense looked great on Auntie last night on the
defense had been rough from the get go, and of
course when the defense ha allowed two scores until two
minutes and couldn't hold the lead. You know, when he
went in with like forty seconds left or whatever it was,
score that the touchdown to take the lead for Dallas,
I'm like, you should have gone out at the one
and burned the clock. They didn't, and it cost them

(18:21):
a win, although they still got the tie, which is
a heck of a lot better than no loss.

Speaker 1 (18:26):
All right, Teddy, If you bet my best bet on Wednesday,
when I gave it out on bet on It Raiders
plus one and a half, you got a win, and
if you waited any other point in time than that,
you got a loss. This Raiders team is bad. I
was so disappointed in that fourth quarter by this team
we mentioned the Colts also a loss for me, but
more of a wonky loss, Ady Mitchell, thank you for

(18:48):
that one. But what I want to talk about, in
addition to what you think about this game, because that
comment section tells me that they like it, is I
am considering using the Colts this week in Survivor. Read
you what I sent to my partners off a loss
versus the Raiders. The only other strong play I see
is to play them week eight versus the Titans. I
wanted to get your thought on maybe a Survivor play

(19:11):
here as well.

Speaker 2 (19:13):
Look headline Indy minus six and a half forty nine
and a half, My party number Colts minus seven. The
markets opened six and a half slash forty eight and
a half forty nine, and we're seeing forty eights now.
So a little bit of under money and a little
bit of Colts money, and let's do it. Let's get
an emergency betting alert for this one. Okay, what you've

(19:36):
seen with the Raiders and what I've seen with the Raiders,
this is not a team that's going anywhere, all right.
Their office line is a disaster. There, West Coast team
traveling East for an early Star game off a devastating
loss at home. They're back, you know, they went back
East one week and then back to Vegas one week,
and then back east the next week. Indy coming off
a loss. I mean, there were some positives from the

(19:57):
Raiders yesterday. They two hundred and forty rushing yards, you know,
Aston Gent he became the first Raiders rookie with three
touchdowns in a game since Bo Jackson in nineteen eighty seven.
Yards per play Raiders six point nine, Bears four point one.
Red Zone Raiders two point three, the Bears one point four.
You know, are one out of four. Max Crosby was unblockable.

(20:21):
He's the most impactful defensive player in the game that
I've seen this year. He really is. And they found
a way to lose. You know, can't lose games like
this at home. Obviously, they had four turnovers, the defense
forced only one gino through three picks. No receiver had
fifty yards of the block field goal in the offsive
line on the final drive. This all has to do
with offensive line issues for the Raiders. It continues to

(20:43):
be a problem. It likely will continue to be a
problem for a team that's struggling in short yardage and
struggling in high leverage situation. Oh, by the way, Colton
Miller tackle Carter off the field in the final minute
with a leg injury. It mattered on that final field
goal attempt, and it would definitely matter if he's missing
this week. Check his status there also without Michael Meyer

(21:04):
title yesterday's ball game indeed, I mean they lost the
game straight up and against the spread, but they didn't
go down to my power ratings. They were every bit
as good as the Rams, if not better, in that game.
I feel bad for that. I know everyone's ripping out
an I Mitchell, I feel really bad for that guy.
He was just trying to reach the ball ball across
the goal line like players do. He wasn't show voting,
he was trying to reach down and he's just fubble

(21:25):
it out of his hands. You know, let's say instead
of the play of the day, it's a seventy five
yard catch and fubble through the end zone, you know,
and then Jonathan Taylor four point five yeards per carry
against LA's defense would have been better, but that long
touchdown run got called back on penalty. Oh is Adam
II Mitchell's penalty. Oops. That's rough, brutal for over Better's
brutal for Colts Betters. They finished with three turnovers, two

(21:47):
of them in the fourth quarter, eleven penalties. Jones his
first two turnovers of the season in that ball game.
And of course the play that they lost, you know
thereup was all right, maybe give up a field goal,
they're I was talking about eighty eight yard to a
touchdown at well, but the quarterback Blackman fell down and
covered he tripped over his own legs. Happens. They didn't
give up four to sixty two total yards. That's their

(22:08):
most ins Week five of last season. And there are
some injuries in the secondary, you know, cornerback Kenny Moore,
it's hurt. Jalen Jones is on ir Xavian Howard had
a rough game against pookuin Akua, but the Raiders don't
have a Pookinakua on their team. I gotta think the
Colts take money at six and a half. I would say,

(22:28):
if you want to bet Andy, do it sooner rather
than later.

Speaker 1 (22:32):
So that is a yes. I should be considering them
possibly for this week's Survivor play.

Speaker 2 (22:38):
Sure, the Colts would be on my short list absolutely
as team Okay.

Speaker 1 (22:42):
The reason why I ask, guys is you and the
comment section get you get noticed. I see what you
guys got going on here, and you are welcome for Teddy,
and I'll take a little credit for talking you off
the Chargers this week. Great called by Teddy early in
the week saying you do not want to take the
Chargers in this spot. Another Monday night football game, and
that is the Broncos play tonight versus the Bengals. They're

(23:03):
headed take on Dan Alexander's Eagles, and boy, oh boy,
do the Eagles look good? Teddy. I used the Bucks
plus three and a half in my super Conders play
and it was dead on arrival. That was until late
in the fourth quarter where Baker Mayfield tried to make
a run at it and unfortunately failed for my plus
three and a half.

Speaker 2 (23:23):
Yeah, I tapped the brakes on the Philly. Look at
Philly and knows how to win games, but I tapped
the breaks on Philly looking good. We'll talk about that
in just a second. Look. Headline here Philly minus five
and a half. Forty three and a half my powering
number going into Monday night, Philly minus five. The markets
right now sitting at five and a half and forty
four at the open. And yeah, I've seen four and

(23:45):
a half's out there right now as opposed to the
five and a half's last night. We have seen already
some Denver money and forty four still pretty much sitting there. There
are forty three and a half and forty four and
a halfs out there. There are some variants. Yesterday had thirty
one points on two hundred total yards two hitter yards.

(24:06):
All right. They had a block punt touchdown for the
first score, the second straight week they've scored on special
teams TV. Remember the block field goal against the Rams.
I do second half drives of Philadelphia. Let's see three
and out three this again, game on the line, all right,
three and out, three and out, three and out touchdown
off a fumble twenty five yard drive Hurts fumbled too,

(24:27):
by the way on that, but he went out of bounds.
They had one first down, then punt three and out
three and out three and out safety on the final play.
Jalen Hurts in the second half zero for eight passing
and Philly finished with minus one yard office. Now that
minus one is because they had that the weird play
at the end game they had the safety. But the
offense has been really yanky, all right. This is not

(24:50):
an offense that's clicking on all shoulders. An offense that's
working and then it's not working, and then it's working,
and then it's not working. It's not a consistent offense.
You know, Philly a little fat and happy. The only
lot in the last three or sixty five days came
to Washington in a game where Hurts left with a
concussion in the first half. Hurts. It's a great team win.
Another gritty win. We know this has been challenging environment.

(25:10):
I'm proud of the way we competed. I know a
lot we can prove on. It's always good to get
a win out there. They don't come easy. The defense
gave up two seventy plus yard passing touchdowns on catching
runs Lane Johnson the right tackle left in the third quarter.
Jalen Carter on the east of line left in the fourth.
Injury concerns for Philly in the trenches, although certainly the
Eagles more depth in the trenches than the average team.

(25:34):
Monday Night Football. If you like the Broncos tonight, I
think they're going to cover. Maybe you put a parlay
in Denver this week, Denver next week. If Denver looks good,
it Denver blows them out, this line will be shorter
than the four and a half slash five that we're
seeing on the OS logic live on screen right now.

Speaker 1 (25:51):
Teddy may disagree with me, but I would say both
of these teams looked improved at least over the last
twenty four hours. We've got the Giants taken on and
the Saints here Jackson Dart. Was that just an anomaly?
Their Teddy rejuvenated team under a new quarterback play? And
then the Saints. I thought they weren't a dogfight versus
the Bills for a better part of that game. Granted

(26:12):
I wasn't focusing fully on that, but I may or
may not have been cheering for a crazy, outright upset
of the Saints for survivor purposes. But overall, Spencer Rattler
made some better places. Receivers made some catches that they
hadn't been doing previously in games.

Speaker 2 (26:26):
So if you remember, we didn't want the Chargers last
week because it was a very bad Chargers spot. So
let's not throw in that the Giants are suddenly great.
The Saints played competitive football with Buffalo, and then at
the end of the game you look up at the
scoreboard and they lose by double digits, all right, So
and that's as well as the Saints could play probably,
So for you know, I tapped the brakes down either

(26:47):
one of these teams about to go on a run
or something like that. Look aheadline Giants minus one and
a half, forty three and a half. My powering number,
Giants minus two. The markets opened one and a half
slash two forty two and a half last night. We
are seeing Saints' money right now. I'm seeing pick'em's. That's
the leading indicator books right now. I'm not sure if

(27:07):
anything's come out on elite neighbors this morning. Neighbors will
affect the point spread. Neighbors not gonna play, I don't think.
But there was the concern that he tore his a
cl and if you know, the Giant's best playmaker ripped
up his ACL, we could see something that we're likely
to see some Saints money. Look the Chargers out gating

(27:27):
the Giants six yards per play to three point six, right,
the three point six yards per play, and they won
the game. There. You know, Jackson Dart took five sacks,
he threw for one hundred and eleven yards. You know,
they only had two touchdowns and five red zone tries.
The defense won the game for the g Men yesterday.
You know, Carter Burns Thibodeau twenty pressures between them. That

(27:51):
was you know, they were the blow up the line
of scrimmage against Herbert and company. Dart has a little
hamstring injury that it needs to be uh checked out
out and he also got evaluated for a head injury.
Russell Wilson came in and took a sack and then
punted Brian Dable after the game. Quote, I know Dart
is likely to be sore. I mean, he gutted it out,

(28:12):
son of a. Son's a tough son of a you
know what, He's tough. But I knew that. So again
bad team off a win. That's the Giants here. The
Saints fought. They were in the game, third time in
four weeks. They've been competitive. Their first nine drives all
ended in Bill's territory. They had one hundred and eighty
nine rushing yards at five point six yards per carry

(28:33):
against Buffalo. You know, Kellen Moore, we put ourselves in
a position. I felt like we were competing. We're playing
the right way. We just came up short. Wouldn't make
enough plays when it matters most. But when you have
nine drives and ending bills that end in Bill's territory,
they had four drives that started in Bill's territory, and
they came away with two field goals from those four drives.
They had the punt and then they had that Philly

(28:54):
special that didn't exactly work real well for the Saints.
They threw a pick in the end zone. You know quote,
it's frustrating because we're in these games. We just got
to close them out. Of course, he's olling ten as
an NFL starter. So Cameron Jordan asked if a team
like the asked if he felt like the team bounced
back after getting clobbered by the Seahawks quote, Losing is

(29:16):
not bouncing back. At the end of the day, it's
the same feeling. We just got a way to get
in the dope column. Golly, of course they had are
roughing the punter penalty. They're doing their chance of a
late comeback. And no question, all right, if you're ranking
NFL teams, then I do this every week in my
power ratings. There's three teams that are right at the bottom.
New Orleans, Tennessee, Carolina. That being said, I don't expect

(29:40):
the Saints to go winless. This is the type of
game they could win in theory.

Speaker 1 (29:44):
All right, Teddy Thirteen minutes ago, Ian Rappaport said, and
the leak Neighbors does in fact have a torn acl
and he will be having surgery. So that is unfortunate
for the Giants and for my fantasy team. But if
you guys have been following me for a long time,
you know I got the kiv Jigs. Doesn't matter one
of my best players. I had Rock Perty too, oh
and George Kittle. It is what it is. But I
will say, and unfortunately for Dan Alexander, there's a new

(30:06):
tweet out the outside linebacker. I'm going to Butcher his
last name. Oknroneco is also got a torn bicep and
is going to be put on injured reserve and possibly
done for the rest of the season. So keep an
eye out two injury reports early here on this Monday morning.

(30:26):
That's what we do here on Opening Line Report. We're
bringing you guys, breaking information so that you can make
solid choices in your wagers early in the week. Teddy,
we've got two thousand people watching this live right now.
Please let them know what you've got over at wager
talk dot com. I know earlier in the show you
mentioned you've got a play up for Monday Night football
as well.

Speaker 2 (30:45):
Yeah, we're running pretty good right now, no question about
a three and zero in the NFL yesterday five and
two All Sports weekend. We won last weekend, a six
and one All Sports weekend. The only NFL loser I
have over the last two weeks was the Rams against
the Eagles when the lockfield goal got returned for a
touch on the last play of the game. Five in
one NFL run. We're seeing things pretty clearly right now.

(31:06):
That's why we do the work that we do so
we can make money on this freaking crazy League. I'm
in play on Monday Night Football tonight. You can get
my best bet as well as free plays. They got
free plays on both of the games, so you can
check out my video. This isn't my homepage w dot buzz,
backslash tcit you just go to the website wagertalk dot com.
I always encourage you if you're going to get on board,

(31:28):
don't buy a play. You know, I expect to win
my Monday Football play tonight. But if you want to
get on board, let's partner up. All right, let's see
if we can make some money together. The weekly packages.
But we've got a great deal right now. If you
buy one month to get the second month or three
dollars a day, it's basically, you know, two months for
under fourhundred bucks. It's a good deal. Again, we've got
baseball and get a playoffs. MLB playoffs start, we got

(31:49):
NBA starting in October. This is a great time of year,
four betters. I'll expect it to make you guys money.
That's my job. So again, visit the website wagertalk dot com.
Check out my homepage w dot buzz, backslash tc for
tonight's best bet. Winner and any potential packages if you
want to get on.

Speaker 1 (32:06):
Board, all right, Teddy, I know I am talking a
lot of Survivors, So if you guys hate that in
the comment section, let me know. But I'm gonna keep
it going because the Texans got it done for me.
Nice win. Now. I will say for the first three
quarters I was like, gosh, what a snooze fest of
the game. How are the Texans gonna lose this? And
then all of a sudden, offense, offense, offense. I think
we were both on the Chiefs last week. I could

(32:27):
have swore that is why I wrote on the Chiefs early.
I might have been wrong there, but they the Baltimore
Ravens here. Look, did Lamar quit? Is Lamar hurt? I
think that there's a lot of rumors being spread right
now on social media and I don't have a real
clear answer here, but I want to take the Baltimore
Ravens here off a loss back at home similar to
what we saw week two versus the Browns. Is this

(32:50):
the spot to use them in Survivor? Because I feel
like this was one of those teams early in the
year you wanted to save. Now I just want to
play them, get a win and not have to worry
about this team the rest of the year. I think
they're hambles.

Speaker 2 (33:01):
Yeh, there's no and then there's hell.

Speaker 1 (33:03):
No.

Speaker 2 (33:05):
I would not put any money on the Baltimore Ravens
this week. I would not use them as survivor. Listen, well,
let me get there. But their injury report is a
frickin' nightmare, all right, it's a nightmare. Look ahead. Line
here was Baltimore minus nine and a half, forty five
and a half the total. My powering number with Lamar

(33:25):
healthy is four without Lamar, all right, with Cooper rush
one and a half. Let me tell you about Baltimore's injuries,
all right. We know Lamar is hurt, all right, the
Hampshire injury. And whether he's hurt or not, you know,
whether whether he quit on his team like social media
says or not, doesn't matter. All right. Baltimore is allowed

(33:47):
thirty seven or more points and all three losses. All right.
The defense is missing seven starters right now. Linebacker ro
Kwan Smith got hurt yesterday, Marlon Humphrey got hurt yesterday.
Nate Wiggins got hurt yesterday. They're already missing Matta Bouquet.
They're already missing Broderick Washington. Ronnie Stanley, the left tackle

(34:09):
got hurt yesterday. This is an eight team. That is again,
not that they have salary cap room, not that they
have an extraordinary depth. When you have to pay your
quarterback like Lamar got paid, guess what the depth isn't there,
and then you have cluster your injuries on the defense
side of the football. Even last week before Kansas City,

(34:31):
my wise guy friends could arguing Baltimore is the best
team in league. Don't worry about their one or two record.
Baltimore is the best team in the league right now. Again,
my priory number is four the markets. You can still
get six and a half on this game, but Mike
pur rings four with Lamar. If Lamar plays in this game,
that's number will be higher than it is. Hill quote

(34:54):
about the injuries, it's part of the game. I mean
not everything would be sunshine and rainbows. Last year we
started off Sloman. Last year they started owing would make
the playoffs and went deep. So I don't think it's difficult.
We just know what we need to do going forward
to being the place we want to be. It kind
of just shows you the character of the team. Okay,
I'm off market, I'm my Baltimore power rating. So far

(35:14):
it served me well. And that injury report is really
problematic for a team that hasn't stopped anyone basically all year,
and it's still being priced like a Super Bowl contender
even with the injuries. And you're you know, I mean
the Texans, you know Jamiico Ryans quote, when we go
out next to the right way, that's what it can
look like. We've been there. We just haven't played clean football.

(35:35):
You know, Stra only had sixty complete passes, eight point
three yards for past attempt, no interceptions, team had no turnovers.
We think about teams that have rallied from behind and
made things interesting, like Carolina did against Arizona, and then
they bounced them the next week they went thirty to nothing.
You know, a team this isn't a bad team off
of win. This is a playoff team off of win.

(35:55):
This ground game was there, Woody Marks had an impact
in yesterday's ball game. But you're right about the fact
that that game was six to nothing into the fourth
quarter against the worst team in the NFL, all right,
against a team that couldn't move the football even though
the endgame numbers look really good for Houston. Are pretty

(36:16):
good for Houston offensively, in my mind, the win over
Tennessee did not answer those offensive questions, and they didn't
get in the red zone until the fourth quarter against
a bottom tier defense. Good thing for them. They're facing
another bottom tier this week.

Speaker 1 (36:31):
Speaking of bottom tier, that is who the Cardinals are
facing this week in the Tennessee Titans. And that was
who was on my long list, Teddy, I told you
before the show. We got about six minutes. We're Teddy
and I get a little rap, kind of go over
some things and he goes, I'm saving my answer for
the show. Kelly, I said, come on, I got to
play the Arizona Cardinals this week. I know everybody's going
to play them. This one is probably the biggest favorite.

(36:54):
Arizona is going to be all year. Titans looked abysmal
again last week. We said, Teddy, the Titans looked good
was against Denver their Week one and they benefited from
multiple turnovers from bone Nicks. The problem was Cam Wartz
receivers couldn't catch a football. Seems like they still can't
catch a football. They have lots of problems there in Tennessee.

(37:14):
Tell me why your expression said it all? Tell me
why on earth I should not be using the Arizona
Cardinals this week.

Speaker 2 (37:21):
Arizona's a problematic team right now. All right. They're coming
off back to back walk off losses on the last
play of the game, both to division rivals. All right, it's,
in theory a get right spot. It's also, in theory
a really flat spot for a team that isn't that good.
This Cardinal's offense has stuck, been stuck in the mud
for extended stretches, you know, four games, and in all
four games, for at least a half, Arizona hasn't been

(37:43):
able to move the football at all, you know, So
back to back for what walk off loss? So Kyler
Murray four point nine yards per pass attempt, two pick
six sacks. He led the team in rushing. Again, remember
no James Connor anymore. Trey Benson was a non factor
in that ball game. Marvin Harrison, who made some plays
in the fourth cour still has been problematic. Yards per play,

(38:04):
they're out gained by two full yards per play at
home against Seattle only four point yards per play. You know,
Jonathan Gannon, I appreciate the resilancy that's there. No one
is their head down. Everyone believes they will win, but
we're not doing enough. All three phases. Oh, by the way,
all kinds of injuries. The cornerback Will Johnsonsey Jones is hurt,
ostive lineman Will Hernandez is hurt. Defensive line Darius Robinson

(38:27):
got hurt in the second half of that ball game.
So it's not a confident team. It's not a particularly
good team. They're getting out yarded, outplayed. They're off back
to back division losses. Get right, spot, Maybe I don't
trust them, do not my powering number for the game,
or look at look head line Arizona minus eight forty two.
My powering number at Arizona minus eight, And yet the

(38:47):
markets are at nine and a half right now, all right,
open forty and a half last night. We've seen forty
one and a halfs this morning, so we have seen
some over money for this ball game. That being said,
I don't know, we're going to see a whole lot
more underjuiced at some of the books that are leading indicators.
But I mean, for Tennessee, you're right, embarrassing offense four

(39:09):
games they haven't gotten the twenty one points in any
of them. They were shut out here ten first downs,
didn't reach the red zone, only three point eight yards
per play. Cam Ward ten of twenty six for one
hundred and eight yards, no touchdowns, one pick. He's been
sacked seventeen times. Ready this season the running backs sixteen
of sixty sixteen carries sixty yards, not doing anything. Remember

(39:29):
Calvin Ridley, he had one thousand yards and back to
back seasons this year the last two years. This year,
after four games, he has ten catches one hundred and
forty one yards. You know, remember that mid comment or
we're mid right now that cam Ward said in the preseason.
I remember it. Listen to this quote from cam Ward.
At this point, we have nothing to lose. We've dropped
the quarter of our games. We have yet to do anything,

(39:51):
so we have to lock in, especially myself. That's the
same quote that's saying we suck. So Tennessee does. Look
they're owing ten their last ten. You know, Brian Callahan's
three and eighteen each of the last four games. Each
all four games this season, they've allowed an explosive touchdown
run where the defense have been missing tackles everywhere. Jeffrey

(40:13):
Simmons quote, you know, and it's a three time pro bowler,
he's a veteran leader on the team. Quote. We're playing
bad football. Simple, We're not playing good football right now.
I'm tired of hearing the same thing coming to this
locker room, tired of saying it. We got to play better.
Of course, they got kicker problems too. Joey Slive missed
a forty one yard and field goal and a forty
three yard field goal. Can't be doing that when you're

(40:35):
getting shut out. Tennessee is garbage, but they're garbage coming
off a particularly bad win. Arizona is not a team
I trust to lay a price with. And from a
survivor standpoint, Tennessee's gonna win one.

Speaker 1 (40:51):
Yeah, they're gonna win one. But I think we gotta
wait until after they fire Brian Callahan. I got it
on my long list. There's a few things that I
can also mix up some of the plays. All right, Teddy,
let's go into the Bucks versus the Seahawks. I mistakenly
said something nice about the Bucks, so I'd like to
take it back here. And I have not been that
high on the Seattle Seahawks all year, but talk to

(41:14):
me about the rest advantage here for the Seahawks, also
about the Bucks playing in one score games and what
that means for the betting market.

Speaker 2 (41:22):
I'm not sure that Thursday to Sunday rest advantage it
matters all that much. I mean, people talk about it
a lot, you know, some of the talking heads are
real intrigued with oh they got extra time. If you
look at the results, it's basically fifty to fifty. So
from a points by the standpoint doesn't matter all that much.
Seattle look ahead line minus one and a half total
anywhere from forty four and a half to forty five
and a half. My powering number Seattle minus two. Last

(41:46):
night we saw two and a halfs and threes, and
guess what, ain't no threes out there? I started, ain't
no two and a halfs out there? This morning they
all got bet up. Now we're seeing Seahawks minus three.
We're seeing Seahawks minus three with juice. The wise guys
didn't like Tampa last week, they don't like Tampa this week.
And there is perhaps some urgency here. If you like Seattle,
the two and a halfs are gone. But if you

(42:08):
like the Seahawks, I grab a minus three right now,
especially we start talking about Tampa Bay's injury report. This
is emergency betting alert worthy Seahawks minus three. You've missed
any of the two and a half. They're out there
for a little while, but this line could easily go
to three and a half. I'm seeing three and a
half's out there at a couple of books already, and
three minus juice just about everywhere. Now. The Bucks allowed

(42:33):
a block punt touchdown, then Mayfield two and under center
in the I mean the interception of the end zone
cost in the game. But you know there are minus
two turnovers, didn't force anything went over to in the
red zone. They allowed three touchdowns and three red zone tries.
That being said, Mayfield has injured biceps. You know he
had two great catch and runs at seventy seven to
seventy two yards. But other than those two big plays,
Tampa doubs didn't do anything. Todd Bowles quote, Obviously he's

(42:55):
got to take better care of the ball. I think
it'd be the first one to tell you that to
pick cost him the game. Quote. We talked about starting
fast and quite obviously did the opposite. You can't expect
to beat a team of that caliber when you start
slow like that. Didn't get Tristian Wurst back at left tackle,
they didn't get Chris Godwin back. But the injury report
is pretty ugly. Mike Evans is hurt, Hassan Reddick is hurt,

(43:16):
Jamal Dean, Benjamin Morrison, Greg Gain to the defensive line
where Shod Wisdom and the secondary. All those guys got
hurt in the second half of the game against Philly.
That is a concern. And that's for Seattle. I mean,
there's things to like about this team. One hundred and
fifty five yards rushing in Arizona. Sam Darnold's twenty twenty
four season really was not a mirage. You know, this

(43:38):
guy entered the NFL in twenty eighteen. He only had
one previous season prior to last year with a quarterback
QBR above eighty five. Last year one oh two QBR
this year one oh six, nine point one yards per play.
He's only taken six sacks. Right, it's like nine point
one yards per pass attempt. He's only taken six sacks.
He's only sewing two interceptions in four games. Coach mcda

(44:00):
donald quote, Sam's playing out of his mind. Right now,
you see him. He's such a cool customer. Again, they
won the yards per play battle by two full yards
against Seattle. Now, this is a quote that stood out
to me after the team blew a two touchdown lead.
No time to repair for the Thursday night games. They're
on the road, they're facing hostility. You know you could
easily lose that game. Jackson Smith de Geeva quote, I

(44:22):
had no doubt we were gonna go down there and score. Honestly,
we just need one play, a couple of plays. Jays's
gonna go down and seal the deal. That's exactly what
he did with Jason Myers hitting the field goal. Only
the Packers and Browns who are allowing hwe yards per
play going into last night and Seattle's four point five
I didn't check this morning. I should have checked where
it came on here, but I forgot. But Green Bay's

(44:43):
defense got lit up last night. Seattle might be only
ahead of only behind Cleveland when it comes to yards
per play, which is the metric we care about defensively.
So yeah, this urgency. If you like the Seahawks, bet
him sooner rather than later. At minus three, this number
could easily go to three and a half.

Speaker 1 (45:01):
Sure looks like it's headed in that direction, Teddy, Let's
talk about teams heading in different directions. Obviously, Joe Burrow
is out for the rest of the season for the Bengals,
so they have a lot of issues that they have
to unpack. They do play my Denver Broncos tonight, but
next week they face the Detroit Lions that certainly look
like the best team right now in the NFC.

Speaker 2 (45:22):
Yeah, so Joe Burrow, we don't know if he's out
for the year. Okay, Borrow's out, you know, he's out indefinitely,
but there's talk that he could be back in December
or January if they make the postseason. Look headline here,
Detroit minus seven and a half forty nine and a half.
My powering number Detroit minus seven, the Markets eight and
a half last nine forty nine. So it looks like

(45:44):
I'm a little bit off market on Cincinnati because I've
got Detroit, like you right there with Philly as the
best teams in the NFC. Line has really been impressive.
The last a couple of weeks, they held Cleveland three
point eight yards per play the offense is I only
gained four point nine yards were playing two seventy seven yards,
but a punt return touchdown one long touchdown driver. The

(46:04):
rest of the game is mostly taking advantage of Brown's
mistakes goth through a picky season, lows and passing yards
a completion center from coaltion percentage quote, we can be
so much better. Remember they score thirty four yesterday against
the number one defense in the league. Quote, we can
be so much better, especially offensively. Hayden Hutchinson's been a monster.
He had a sack again and forced a fumble in

(46:25):
that game, ten and a half sacks his last nine games.
Worth noting that Detroit lost a pair of cornerbacks in
that game. DJ Reid cut off the field Terry and
Arnold hurt his shoulder. We'll see how Reed's gonna miss
some time. Arnold is a question mark, obviously, since he
plays Monday night football against Denver. If you like the
Bengals tonight maca Parley Denver, or if you like Sincy tonight,

(46:49):
but since he twice this weekend next week, if you
don't like Sincy to night but against them twice, in theory,
you'll be getting the best of the number. But again,
my numbers a little bit shorter than the market on
this one. We'll see what Cincinnati looks like this evening
as to how this line is likely to move moving forward. Wow.

Speaker 1 (47:06):
Shout out to all of you guys, almost three thousand
of you watching live again. We're here to give you
guys the best of the information on a Monday morning
to get you ready for NFL Week five. Teddy the Commanders,
Marcus Mariota looking okay, maybe a little uh, Jalen Jayden

(47:28):
Daniels ask, we'll call it ask. There was multiple times
this show was like, oh, yeah, that's Marcus Feriota. Now
they're headed to play the Los Angeles Chargers, which you
told us last week. Do not touch the Chargers with
a ten foot poll from this situational perspective. Great call
by you. Is this a spot where maybe we need
to be looking at the Chargers?

Speaker 2 (47:47):
Boy, we appreciate you guys watching what three thousand watching
it live. I've been doing one form of the opening
line report or another for the better part of the
last twenty years, twenty football seasons. I've been in Vegas
since ninety eight, and with this, you know, this is
my best show. This is the show that put all
my effort, my most effort into and I really appreciate
all the support that it's getting. If you like the show,
please hit that light button, comment below, tell us what

(48:09):
you think, tell your friends about it, and when you
watch live, you're gonna get the emergency betting letters when
you can actually use them, which is a positive thing.
Washington and the Chargers look aheadline, and this was a
look headline there. I'm gonna call it three forty eight
and a half. Most books didn't post because didn't know
if Daniels is gonna play it, so I wrote it
in parentheses are the looking line that was out. There

(48:31):
was three forty eight and a half, my powering number
with Mariota Chargers three and a half with Daniels Chargers
two and a half. The market's open two and a
half SLAST three forty seven and a half last night,
and we're seeing two and a half SLAST three forty
seven and a half this morning. We're gonna have to
see what the injury report is. I'm expecting Daniels to

(48:51):
play this time around. That being said, Mariota in twenty
twenty five looks better than I've seen him at any
point in his career. You know, he was drafted in
twenty fifteen. The box score numbers don't look great. One
hundred and fifty five passing yards won, twenty two yards scramble,
but his passes were to the right guy and on target.
No stupid throws, no devastating mistakes, and of course Washington
ran for six point seven yards per carry after the

(49:12):
offense scored twenty seven and punted only twice. They didn't
give run on third downs. But it was a defense.
If you're gonna say, why didn't Washington lose that ballgame?
Nothing to do with Marcus Mariota. The defense got gashed,
you know, Atlanta six point eight yards per play, Atlanta
four touchdowns on six red zone trips. The Falcons gained
fifteen or more yards on ten different plays at a
season nive four hundred and thirty six yards overall. Got

(49:35):
to see what Daniel span. Of course McLaurin matters too
for this offense. For Washington, but they faced two good
opposing offenses this year and the defense been let up
both times. That could be problematic because the Chargers are
a pretty good offense, and the Chargers are coming off
a win. What did we say last week? On the show.
It was a mother of all flat spots for la See.
What was it? The mother of all flat spots for

(49:55):
la See? They were off three division wins in a row.
They were facing a winless team three thousand miles away
in an early start game, and they played like it.
Herbert two picks, two sacks, only five yards per passing down.
They had fourteen penalties. They only reach a red zone once,
you know. That being said, it was weird. They only
had thirteen carries for one hundred and two yards for
a team that wants to run the football in a
game they never trailed by margin. You know, Omarion Hampton

(50:16):
was the only running back to have a carry. Yeah,
gained the Giants six point zero yards per play to
three point six. But worth noting impact injury. Mickey Beckton
dirty out on the offsive line Joe Alt got carted
off with an ankle injury. That's their two best linemen
for a team that had o well concerns. The Giants
ed rushers combined for twenty pressures and certainly if the

(50:43):
LA's then we'll check the injury report for the offensive line.
But if the both tackles are hurt, this week. It
doesn't make me excited about laying the price here whether
Daniels or Mariota starts for the commanders.

Speaker 1 (50:54):
All right, Patriots at the bills. We kind of talked
about this just a little bit ago when we hit
on the other two opponents. Are the Patriots making strides?
Tell it, Teddy, I'm not trying to say they're good.
Are they making strides? Or did they just play the Panthers?

Speaker 2 (51:09):
Well? Probably a little bit from Colum, a little bit
from Colin by the Patriots are making strides, but they
also just played the Panthers. You know. Look headline here,
Buffalo minus ten forty eight and a half. My primary number,
Buffalo minus nine. The markets seven and a half, eight
and a half nine last night. What are we seeing
this morning? Seven and a half, eight and a half
nine out there? Note the nines are a teaser protection
and I do I'm really not even seeing the nine

(51:31):
seven and a half eight, eight and a half. The
nines are gone. There was a couple of nines out there,
not many, but we've seen some over money for this
one from forty nine and a half. I'm seeing fifties
out there, and you know, again, anywhere between seven and
a half and eight and a half four Buffalo. The
Patriots had a box score that lied. You know, they
only had three hundred and six They had sixteen first

(51:52):
downs only three out of seven total yards. They were
out gained in the game, but yards per play six
point four to five point zero na New England's favor.
No turnovers for either team. Drake May eleven point nine
yards per pass empt and only three incompletes. You know,
the part return touchdown and a sixty one yard part
returner set up another touchdown from Marcus Jones. After it
turns the ball over five times when they lost to Pittsburgh,

(52:13):
they would turnover three, went four to four in the
red zone. Mike Rabel. When we don't beat ourselves and
take care of the football, we can play complimentary football.
It can look like something that being said, they got
Christian Gonzales back, they made a season debut, but they
lost Charles Woods and Carlton Davis and Jalen Hawkins, all
from the secondary, which is a concern against Buffalo, and

(52:34):
the Bills weren't sharp yesterday at all. Not a sharp
game on either side of the football. Had eleven penalties
and when the dust cleared. They had thirty one points
in the scoreboard, all from the offense. They had a
double two win four straight games they scored thirty plus.
You know, Josh Allens sacked three times, threw a pick,
still nine point five yards per past them, hit seven
different receivers, Bills one hundred and sixty five rushing yards

(52:55):
on five point two yards per carry. The defense got
gashed on the ground by New Orleans. New Orleans first
nine drives all in in Bill's territory, one hundred eighty
nine yeard sceniards allowed and yet still Buffalo yards per
play six point two, New Orleans four point six. You know,
the Bills didn't play well and still won by doubles.
And this is a divisional opponent on national TV. Josh

(53:15):
Allen quote, we we weren't doing ourselves. Money favors, bonehead penalties,
bone had mistakes. Throwing a pick doesn't help. So all
they were pleased with how they played in that game either.

Speaker 1 (53:26):
And just like that, Teddy, the Chiefs are back to
being road favorites. This is the one I circled last night.
I go, what am I missing? As a Chiefs better yesterday?
As a Jackson better yesterday. What am I missing here?
Talk to me about the Monday night football game Kansas
City and into Jacksonville.

Speaker 2 (53:44):
CAC look aheadline minus three forty four and a half.
My powering number chiefs minus three and a half. Markets
opened three and forty five last night. We're seeing threes
and forty five and a half right now. We have
seen some over money and there could well be some
emergent for some more over money. But this is why
Kansas City's road favorite Jacksonville's played better right well. The

(54:08):
defense forced four turnovers in yesterday's game. They had three
turnovers the week before, three turns a week before, three
turns a week before that, so they are ready. Right now,
We're four games into the season and Jacksonville has four
more takeaways than they had for the entire year last year.
Thirteen takeaways leads the NFL by margin through four weeks.

(54:29):
So everything we're looking at what Jacksonville is. The takeaways
have mattered so far. We're zooming in on the Jags,
you know, with our telescope, we're gonna go. The success
for a two and two team is that they've been
able to force turnovers in turnovers and bunches against case
against Patrick Mahomes. Good luck with that. Oh. By the way,
injuries crushed this team yesterday. Eight starters or key reserves

(54:51):
left the game at one point or another to defendive Entry.
Von Walker safety Eric Murray did not return. Both those
injuries could be packfull for that team. And of course
they only you know, Trevor Lawrence five point six yards
for pass attempts. You know, they had no turnovers, no
Saxon running game worked. You know Cam Little's missing field goals.
They punted five times compared to only two for San

(55:13):
fran yards for play Jacksonville five point two, san Franz
six point two. You know, it's all turnovers for the
Jaguars right now. And we'll give them credit for a
defense at d fourths of all of the year before.
But when you're living off turnover margin and you're playing
Kansas City, not always easy to create that, you know.
And Xavier Worthy, by the way, all your chief stats
for the first three weeks, throw them out. They didn't

(55:34):
have any weapons. Now they got a weapon. Xavior Worthy
comes back, instant impact, leading receiver, the passing game work.
Mahomes throws for two seventy and four touchdowns. Oh yeah,
worthy with a leading rusher too. And that's the problem
with Isaiah Checko and the ghost of Kareem Hunt, essentially
non factors all season, but four and four on fourth downs.
You know when Mahomes needs a play, Mahomes is. You

(55:54):
know you need to play to win a game. Mahomes
is your guy. More touchdown passes from Homes in this
game yesterday then in his first three combined. First time
all year he's been better than seven yards per past
attempt seven point seven career, but six point eight last year.
The defense controlled the flow here as well. Mahomes quote,
You've been making little mistakes here and there that causes frustration.
We've been learning from them. I'm proud of the guys.

(56:16):
Nobody responded, getting better every week. It was a little
personal yesterday between Liam Colin and Robert Sala. This might
be personal too, but the Jags are not the better
of these two teams.

Speaker 1 (56:29):
