Speaker 1 (00:00):
Welcome in to the Opening Line Report.
Speaker 2 (00:03):
Kelly Stewart here on this beautiful Monday morning, joined by
Teddy covers Teddy the bright spots of my day Yesterday,
we're named the Dolphins and the Panthers.
Speaker 1 (00:13):
That is not something I thought I would say.
Speaker 2 (00:16):
But we're gonna get into the other games from week
six in the NFL. We're also gonna hit on some
Monday Night football and maybe we've got a couple emergency
betting alerts.
Speaker 1 (00:27):
For you guys.
Speaker 2 (00:27):
So come hang out with us here on the Opening
Line Report. Jump in the comments section, tell us who
you like, as well as anything else you would like
to see from Teddy and I, and we're gonna have
a great show.
Speaker 1 (00:38):
Teddy, should we start off with Monday Night Football?
Speaker 3 (00:41):
Yeah, but of course it's week seven. We're breaking down
Week seven on the show. We'll touch on what just
happened in Week six, but it's all about on the
Wager Talk NFL Opening Line Report, it's all about the
upcoming week. We're always trying to look forward and help
you guys. He really understand what's happened and what the
nuances of these teams are. A and B. Get ahead
of some of these line moves, which has been working
(01:03):
pretty well so far this season. I've been pleased. You know,
last year I was annoyed with the results of the
of the emergency betting alerts because I wasn't I didn't
trust my own numbers enough. And this year I'm trusting
my number. My numbers are better than some of these
market numbers to open they are.
Speaker 1 (01:19):
I love it.
Speaker 3 (01:20):
It's been that way all year, and we're.
Speaker 2 (01:22):
Gonna get into why some of the market numbers are
what they are. Maybe don't be overreacting to what you see,
or hey, some of these teams are in free fall.
So let's get right into Monday Night Football. The first
one up is Bills Falcons. This is a game that
we've seen come down from the opening number. Buffalo off
that loss to the Patriots kind of break down this game,
(01:43):
at least the first game here on Monday Night Football.
Speaker 3 (01:46):
Sure, in terms of where the money's come, it's been
all Atlanta money. There's a school of thought out there
that the Bills and when really, when you look at
their schedule, their schedule has not been tough. All right,
Buffalo has had it pretty easy thus far. I guess
the Ravens Week one. You know, New England, you know
who they beat by a point, and New England, who
(02:06):
they lost to, are the only two teams that they
face that are any good. So there's not as much
market support for the Bills as you might think. And
that's why we've seen Atlanta money. That total's been sitting
pretty steady forty nine and a half fifty. I haven't
seen a whole lot of action there for the late game.
And again, the games are kicking off only an hour apart.
(02:27):
Is not a true you know, a week one game
and then the next game one of those Monday Night
double leaders. It's a two games going on at the
same time, Monday Night Double Leaders. In that one, we
saw early money for Washington and it's just helded. You know,
it's been sitting five and a half pretty much all
week total forty nine and a half the prevailing number.
There's rain expected in the DC this evening, so be
(02:51):
aware that that could affect gameplay in this one. Chicago
some pretty ugly defensive numbers full season at the very
bottom of the NFL and a number of different defensive categories,
and yet Washington missing their top two receivers this evening
so I guess those two have neutralized each other when
(03:11):
it comes to how it's affected the vetting markets thus far.
So again, right now, that's sitting sitting steady five and
a half. With this. I thought that we might see
a little bit of Bears money earlier this morning. It
doesn't look like it's materializing. Five and a half is
a number that it's been holding it for quite some time,
and I'm not anticipating a move right away.
Speaker 2 (03:34):
Okay, let's get right into Thursday night football. We've got
the Steelers at the Bengals. And hey, I was one
of the people that did not take the bait with
the Browns last week, and I thought, hey, this is
kind of a weird game. Steelers looked good. Aaron Rodgers
played pretty flawlessly.
Speaker 3 (03:54):
Yeah, he sure did. And of course, you know, for
it wasn't a bad weekend for bad beats. Let me
just start the you know, I mean, I had the Ravens.
The Ravens were no fun. They went all three in
the red zone, had three turnovers, there were two to
six on fourth downs. They had more first downs and
more yards the Rams scoring a touchdown on fourth down.
The Rams might have played five minutes of good football.
But Baltimore is so bad it didn't matter by two touchdowns,
(04:17):
So Baltimore was wasn't a bad beat. The Packers Browns
under was probably a bad beat. You know. That game
was ten to nothing with less than five minutes left
in the third quarter, and then all of a sudden,
Flacco lights up the Packers defense and Green Bay can't
get that last first down to kneel, so they end
up having to kick a field goal to go up nine,
(04:39):
and it landed right on forty five. There were lots
of forty four and a halfs out there that were
even forty four, So tough push, tougher loss they had
that under. When it comes to Pittsburgh and Cincinnati again,
I give you guys four sets of lines for every game.
I'll give you the look ahead line from last week.
These are the betable numbers, so we see how much
this past week's game influenced the numbers. When you see
(05:02):
a big change between the lookheadline and the opener and
the current numbers, it tells you that the markets have
finally crashed or finally bought out a particular team after
the results. So I'll give you a look ahead line,
I'll give you my power rating number. I'll give you
the opening numbers, and this is where the little markets open.
I usually write it down last night. I wrote it
down in the first half of Sunday Night Football, in
(05:23):
the second quarter of that game, when I was writ
in the open numbers down, and then I'll give you
where the numbers are for today. So in this one
look ahead, Pittsburgh minus four total of forty three. My
power ring is Pittsburgh minus five and a half opened
last night, five and a half, forty two and a half.
And what are we see in today? Five and a
half forty two and a half. My power rating, the
(05:43):
opening number, the current number, all the same. The look
ahead with Pittsburgh only four a week ago, is telling
us that the markets suddenly respect the Steelers after what
they did yesterday. And again, Pittsburgh look pretty good. Aaron Rodgers, no,
no sex. You know this is Steelers team. Remember they
spent first round picks. I think it was three years
(06:05):
in a row, three out of four years on their
offensive line. All of a sudden, Broderick Jones is beaten.
Miles Garrett all day. You know, you know Pat Fryermouth
Proderick was dropped, drafted to block guys like Miles He
balled out today. You know Jack Frasier the center. The
game plan going in is we wanted to keep airing
up right. We know when we do that, he does
great things. Aaron Rodgers talking about it at Pittsburgh's hot start.
(06:28):
That's where we want to be. We put ourselves in
a position to start entering the conversation. A lot can
happen though, you know, Mike Tomlin, why is it starting
to look like the way we desire. We got a
full confluent of talent. We put this band together. We
feel like we can do the things you saw today.
Defense allowed only three point three yards per play in
that ball game. Again it's Cleveland, but three point three
(06:50):
yards were plays impressive offense five point eight yards of play,
so they outgained their opponent by two and a half
yards per play. Markets like that, Pittsburgh three in the
red zone. So basically they didn't score perhaps as much
as they could have. Nonetheless, we're seeing Pittsburgh support and
by the way, their full strength on defense. Now theyve
(07:12):
got Alex Heismith back from an ankle injury and Jalen Ramsey,
though not one hundred percent, was on the field yesterday
as well, So these are all positive signs for Pittsburgh Cincinnati.
There are sixteen rushes and forty six Flacco dropbacks, welcome
to a new team. In three practices that being said,
flackoed and zero interceptions, one sack and since he moved
(07:35):
to the football in the second half of that ball
surely the last twenty minutes they did. Jamar Chase. There
were concerns about his health. He was healthy enough ten
catches after being direted or questionable. And I'm gonna talk
about this. This happened a couple times, Zach Taylor. Smart.
We like the coaches that are smart enough to know
that when you're down fourteen points in the fourth quarter
(07:56):
and you score a touchdown, you go for two. That's
what Since he did gets a check mark by smart
coach when the only coach did that yesterday. But that
gives you a chance to win if you make it,
and it gives you another chance to get the two
point diversion if you don't. So I mean big concern
and big injury for Cincinnati. Trey Hendrickson, who they paid
(08:18):
a defensive end well he hurt his back and may
not be able to play on Thursday night. That is
something that could affect you know, you don't talk about
defensive players affecting the points bread this one could from
a market supports standpointing and everything's at five and a half.
Public will probably be on Pittsburgh here. Thursday night football
can be a little bit weird.
Speaker 1 (08:37):
And I don't blame them.
Speaker 2 (08:39):
I don't think a lot of us want anything to
do with the Cincinnati Bengals right now, Teddy, Let's go
to London. I mean, are you sick of getting up
at six thirty am yet? Are we having too much
fun with the London games yet?
Speaker 1 (08:49):
Teddy?
Speaker 3 (08:50):
So I'm up. I'm up most mornings between six and
six thirty anyway. You know, I think I missed the
opening kickoff on Sunday, so it is what you know Sundays.
Speaker 2 (09:00):
So I'm not gonna lie to say that I even
watched the first half of the Denver New York game
last week. But let's go to this week's game in London.
The Rams are taken on the Jags. As you mentioned,
the La Rams got to play the Ravens last week,
so kind of a nice change of pace for them.
Jacksonville was in an absolute utter dog fight break down
(09:24):
this early morning start on Sunday.
Speaker 3 (09:26):
Sure look aheadline here the Rams minus three and forty
seven against the Jaggs. My powering number LA minus two
and a half. Last night the markets open three and
forty six. This morning, the markets are at three and
we're seeing under money, significant under money. And actually, Dan,
I'm sorry I didn't warn you, but we got to
(09:48):
talk about it right here, right now. It is time
for the first emergency betting alert this show. If you
like the under LA Jacksonville, bet it right now. Forty
five five and a half still available. And again I'm
not saying I like the under I'm saying, if you
want this bet, you will get the best of the number.
At this moment, Why Poka just announces out, you know,
(10:11):
or I think was the outer or he's not expected
to play. It looks like a significant injury for a
significant enough to have him miss a game. And it's
not like this offense worked. Yesterday in Baltimore, the Rams
had fifteen first downs, two hundred and forty one total
yards four point seven yards per play. The offense wasn't
particularly good, you know, Matthew Stafford talked about and everyone
(10:32):
talks about complimentary football. The Rams played complimentary football yesterday.
They really did. The offense struggled most of the game.
The defense stepped up. That's complimentary football. You know, when
they're both struggling, the special team's got to make a play.
That's complimentary football. The Ram's been pretty good at that
so far this season. Matthew Stafford quote, I feel like
he moved up in the ball, up and down the
field last week for Susan fran and had four hundred
(10:54):
and something yards of offense and lost the game and
felt pretty bad about it. I felt good about this one.
Nice job getting the w. So they're not that worried.
You know, found a way to win. But the Pooka
and Akooy injury is a factor, a major factor for
this offense. And you know, defense is awesome. Forced three
turnover stuff Baltimore four times and the first and goal
spot from inside the fire. That was the key to
(11:14):
the game was that the stuff in the Ravens inside
the five yard line four times. Four halftime Baltimore was
oh three in the red zone and Devonte Adams. You know,
the defense carried us all day. Liam Cohen, another guy
who knows the right move. Down fourteen in the fourth quarter,
score a touchdown, go for two. That's the right move
just about always two point coversion failed. They never scored again,
(11:36):
But we know that the coach understands math and understands
advanced metrics. Was not a good game for the Jags. Yes,
they really wasn't. They played in London, I think every year,
and that could give them an edge in this one.
Just a familiarity with the venue. Coming off that lost
Jerl Lawrence had the yips, felt like he missed multiple
open receivers. He was sacked seven times. The running game
(11:57):
didn't get going. Travis at the end of twelve to
twenty seven. You know, we had drop passes. Brian Thomas
dropped a third down pass with no defenders on him.
They had a fifty four yard touchdown pass from Lawrence
to Thomas NULLI five because Travis Hunter lined up off sides.
You know Liam Cohen quote, it's an undisciplined operation at
the moment, which is standing in our rag in our
way right now, it's us, Trevor Lawrence. We obviously didn't
(12:22):
play our best ball. A lot of mistakes a lot
of self and fifty the wounds. Like we talked about
in the past, We've got to clean it up. You know.
The end season trade between the jackson and the Browns,
they traded cornerbacks. Both cornerbacks got absolutely burned, though Jacksonville
did get I mean really burned. Newsom was on Smith
and jigbud Right a huge day and they actually got
a sixty one yard touchdown on his very first snap.
(12:44):
Welcome to Jacksonville, Newsom. Cheevon Walker, the defensive end, the
impact defensive end, former number overall one overall pick active
less than two weeks after having a wrist surgery of
benefit for Jacksonville's defense.
Speaker 2 (12:57):
All right, we're gonna go to the Raiders at Kansas City, Teddy.
I was on the titanside a nice CLV trophy there
with cam Ward. I thought maybe Gino might throw a
couple of picks. He only threw one. No, brock Boers.
Now they're a double digit underdog at the Chiefs, who
I will admit, are starting to do what Chiefs have
(13:19):
been doing every year. They're picking up that pace. Quick question.
Speaker 1 (13:23):
I saw on X this morning.
Speaker 2 (13:24):
I think it was Mitch Moss over a Beeson said,
took seven to one on the Chiefs, or maybe it was.
Speaker 1 (13:29):
Nine to one.
Speaker 2 (13:30):
Now it's down to seven to one to win the
Super Bowl. Is that just a little bit over an overreaction.
Should we pump the brakes? Or is this the Chiefs
team that's gonna make it deep into the playoffs already?
Speaker 3 (13:42):
So they're live, you know, Casey's live. You know, we
know they have the pedigree, we know they have the
coaching and the quarterback play and all of that Kansas City.
You know, there's dumber bets to make then the Chiefs
to win it all. It's not a bet that I
personally would make or even consider, not those numbers and
number at the price isn't right. You talked about the
(14:03):
crappy teams you won with yesterday. I won with the Raiders.
My clients and I won with the Raiders in that ballgame.
And you talk about Gino. Gino threw a really bad
interception deep in tightened territory. He's got to pull it
down and just take the sack, Just don't chuck it
up there. I didn't think I thought that Gino would
have a little bit more ball security in that. And again,
the only game four yards per play against a bad defense.
(14:25):
This offensive line for Pete Carroll Company really is a disaster.
Look aheadline Kansas City ten and a half forty six
my powering number Chiefs twelve and a half for this ballgame.
Now for the teams that played last night, there were
multiple lines up there. I wasn't sure what's real, So
we talked about what happened this morning. This morning, Kansas
City was twelve and a half for this ballgame. Still
(14:48):
sitting pretty much twelve and a half forty five and
a half. There was a thirteen out there at Circa.
There's an eleven a half out there right now at FanDuel.
So there is some line variants right now, if you
want to get on board. I'm not sensing the market
is going to move on this game significantly. I don't
think Kansas City can get up to two touchdowns in
a division game. They just haven't had They just haven't
won by margin. And I don't think we're going to
(15:09):
see Raiders support. You know, again, the game four yeards
per play last week, even though they won. And of
course now you have a bad team, the Raiders coming
off a win. Now the defense may play it against
that caliber of offense. For Vegas, they held Tennessee to
three point eight yards per play, They forced three turnovers,
They sat game wards six times. You can't compare Tennessee
the worst team in the league, and Tennessee, by the way,
(15:30):
is the worst team by my powertings. It's not close
at this stage. There are a couple points worse even
than the Jets, which tells you where Tennessee is right now,
which tells you why I took the Raiders yesterday, even
though they are not a team that I really believe
it worth noting this quote. I like quotes from opposing
coaches and opposing teams about the team they just faced.
Brian Callahan quote, did a good job mixing up coverages.
(15:50):
They pressured us a lot more of this game than
they had going into it. The zero blitzed us a
few times, which is not something they've done a lot of.
So at least the Raiders doing things that they haven't
seen on film. Pete Carroll, who we're talking it like,
we want to play good football for a long time,
just hadn't come together yet. The last time we won
was such a long time ago we can't even remember it.
But This victory is very important to us. The guys
(16:11):
deserved to feel like they feel right now. That's not
necessarily a bet unquote for the next week. Detroit last
night came in with Dan Campbell saying they're going to
run the football down the chief's throat, run it til
Kansas City stopped them. Well, guess what, Casey stopped them.
Only five rushing first downs for Detroit, less than a
hundredrushing yards in the ball game. Jamir Gibbs and David
Montgomery both hold out of the end zone. Mahomes three touchdowns,
(16:33):
no picks, no ninety nine yard interception from return touchdown. Here,
they ran the ball well. They went four to six
in the red zone. It was really four or five
the last drive. They were just trying to kill clock
with a two score lead and settle for three. But
they were very comfortable in the red zone. And note this,
I'm going to talk about a clean game Kansas City,
zero turnovers, zero penalties. How often do we say that.
(16:56):
That's certainly a positive sign moving forward. But at the
same time, it's not something we expect two games in
a row from any NFL team, So there could be
some regression for both the turnout and the penalties for
Kansas City in a divisional rivalry, but a team that
they beat every time.
Speaker 2 (17:14):
All right, Dolphins Browns. I mentioned the Browns to start
the show versus the Steelers. I was not impressed with
that team. Dylan Gabriel got sacked into oblivion. Basically every
time I flipped the channel, he was on his back
and we already touched on the Dolphins. I was very
happy to get the cover because they were down late,
(17:34):
but they had opportunities to win that game and could
not get it done.
Speaker 1 (17:38):
They're a very frustrating, undisciplined football team.
Speaker 3 (17:40):
Teddy, Yeah, I mean Miami snatched defeat from the jaws
of victory again. You know, look ahead line Cleveland minus
two and a half. Note, look what I'm saying here,
Cleveland minus two and a half out of line do you
expect to see very often this year with the Browns.
I was a look head line forty one and my
powering number Cleveland minus two and a half opened last
(18:03):
night Cleveland minus two and a half, forty one. What
have we got today, Cleveland minus two and a half,
forty and a half for this ball game. We've seen
some under money we could see some more under money.
And I was impressed with Miami's resolve yesterday. I really was.
You know, they fought hard, they had the two touches,
they had that little meltdown at the start of the
third quarter, and they fought to you know, really both
(18:24):
sides of the ball to overcome that two touchdown deficit.
And then they had fricking they had Justin Herbert sacked.
They had him sacked, and then he escaped and found McConkie,
and then McConkie broke a couple of tackles and the
next thing you know, it's a forty three yard completion
into easy field goal range. In Miami's losing another game,
you know, two of through three picks, and they were
(18:45):
still live to win. They still covered you know eight
chaan with the big game on the ground, one hundred
and twenty eight rushing yards, and yet they got booed
off the field. The postgame quotes were very concerning, you know,
TUA shocked, shocked. This is something we've talked about collectively
as a team, about being able to finish games like this.
We have the opportunity to win the game, and it's
(19:06):
not just one side of the ball. It's every phase
I contributed on the turnovers. It's frustrating to stay the
least more to it. We have guys showing up to
player only meetings late, guys not showing up to player
on the meetings. There's a lot that goes into that.
It's a lot of that nature. We have to get
cleaned up. It starts with little things like that, you know,
a chane after the change, after the game. To lose
(19:28):
like that, it's like, what more could we have done?
And it's worth noting Tyreek Hills out Wattle and a
chain combined forty Sorry, they had forty two total touches
for the skill pets and players. Those two had twenty
six of them. So they're really rhyme and relying heavily
on two guys right now. They just went all in
(19:49):
in this ball game and lost. And oh they have
the worst run defense. And if there's one thing the
Browns need to do, they need to run the football.
Bizarre game plan. You know, you have Dylan gabriel As
attempt sack six times, so that's fifty eight times he
dropped back to pass and they had seventeen combined carries.
That's not gonna work, all right. They've scored seventeen points
(20:10):
or less in every game this season. In fact, the
Browns have now scored seven. You're gonna lay two and
a half of the team that scored seventeen points or
less in each of their last eleven games. Miles Garrett quote.
Losing the same way is frustrating as hell, basically saying
to the offense, get your shit together. They can't. You know,
(20:32):
it's just not the talent. The talent isn't there. You know,
they had one play longer than fourteen yards all Dinky
Donkey from that offense three point three yards per play,
gained zero three in the red zone. You know, Kevin Stefanski,
we know Gabriel's tough, He's gonna keep fighting. We just
around him. Got to make some plays. Hard to do
with that roster, hard to do with the injuries that
they've had. And of course the Browns they got a
(20:54):
fair few teams, you know, veterans on expiring contacts, whether
it's the tight end and Djuku or the defensive Linemans Shelby,
Harris Cleveland's team, it's probably gonna trade away some talent
in the next week or two. Be aware of that.
When it comes to team chemistry, hard for me to
make a case for either one of these squads. Not
surprised we're seeing under money already.
Speaker 1 (21:16):
All right.
Speaker 2 (21:16):
A team that Hey put back to back wins together.
Speaker 1 (21:20):
That would be the Patriots.
Speaker 2 (21:22):
I had the Saints yesterday, but the Patriots looked fairly solid.
Drake may not turning the ball over, had some really
nice pass plays.
Speaker 1 (21:31):
Do you think Rabel has righted the ship there in
New England?
Speaker 2 (21:36):
I mean now they're over a touchdown favor on the
road versus that Titans team we just talked about that.
I backed yesterday all the CLV in the world, and
it was not going to matter.
Speaker 1 (21:45):
They were not covering that football game.
Speaker 3 (21:47):
Yeah. So, by the way, the first emergency betting alert
and a half's already gone. So I feel I'm very
happy with that particular. There were the immediate results of
that particular EBA. I got that one right four New
England and Tennessee. And when you see it, when I
see it like that, you know, boom, I'm gonna grab it.
And by the way, the Raiders getting hit right now,
(22:09):
twelve and a half's mostly gone. There's still some out there.
I don't know if that'll hold. We'll see Kansas City
money later in the week when it comes to New
England and Tennessee. Look head line Patriots minus six and so.
I used the Westgate super book numbers for the Look
head line. When the Westgate numbers are different from what
i'll call the market numbers, I note the difference. There
(22:29):
were forty two and a halfs and forty three and
a half for this total. I don't know which one
The west Gate doesn't matter there, but there was some
variance on the total for this. My Powery number is
the Patriots minus seven and a half. Again, I got
the Titan as the worst team in the league. Markets
opened six and a half and forty two last night.
Six and a half did not last. There's still I
think there's still one at FanDuel, but really it's mostly sevens.
(22:50):
And they're even seven and a half out there at
leading indicator books for this one. But there's not enough
six and a half for me to say emergency betting alert.
It's not. That's not the line anymore the page. I mean,
Drake may threw for ten yards per past ten with
no interceptions. Big plays in the passing game all day
against New Orleans. They only reached the red zone once
(23:10):
in a game where they you know, put up points.
Drake May quote, it feels good getting in the willing
win column consistently. Was good to hit some deep shots
and these guys they made some great play plays. Linebacker
Christian Hellis with a nice quote about his quarterback quote,
his instincts are crazy. Sometimes he flicks the ball out
there and he just moves in the pockets. So well,
now he knows where to be, he knows where the
(23:32):
ball needs to be. He's playing great, and Drake May
is playing great. That being said, Drake May also led
the team in rushing with twenty eight rushing yards. You know,
the Trevion Ramandre Combo twenty two of forty five versus
New Orleans. That's not good. You know, defense played well
as well. They only allowed a field goal in the
second half. They forced a fumble on the saint second
(23:53):
to last drive and then force the Saints to punt
with what led four minutes to go, and then the
offense never gave them the ball back. So there's surely some
positive signs for New England and they're faith but you know,
can this team anile success. You know, we Southern beat Buffalo,
now we sell them beat New Orleans. We talk about Rabel.
I don't think Rabel's gonna get the credit. Rabel's live
(24:19):
live in this coach of the Year type of stuff.
But it's personnel more than coaching in my opinion. For
New England Rabel at least. But when you have the
veteran coach, you're seeing the you know, the first time
head coach is the Aaron Glens of the world. There's
you know, the Oj Mayos of the world last year
for New England, those coaches will take more criticism and
(24:42):
they have. There's a learning curve there really is, you know,
just ask Ben Johnson. As for Tennessee again, you talk
about a wrong game plan forty you have you have
a rookie quarterback and you drop back the past forty
four times and you have fifteen rushing attempts on the road,
by the way, you know, three point eight yards per play.
I know. By the way, Calvin Ridley got hurt in
that ball. Again, We'll have to see what his status is.
(25:02):
He left in the second quarter with a hamstring injury.
This team hasn't won consecutive game since twenty twenty two,
worst team in the league. My part ratings again not
even close.
Speaker 2 (25:13):
Not even close, Teddy, We've got close to twenty three
hundred people watching this show live. Shout out to all

Speaker 2 (25:33):
Kind of let the audience know how things have been
going for you and what's the game plan going forward.
Speaker 3 (25:38):
Hey, hey, we appreciate all your support. We appreciate those likes,
those comments, those follows. I apologized last week. I did
not get into the comments section. I had a funeral
to go with to you on Monday, and then I
was way behind all day Tuesday, and by midweek it
was just it was one of those weeks that life
got in the way. So I apologize, But of course
I'll get in the comments this week and reply to
anyone in the comments, and liking and subscribing to the
(26:02):
channel is great. On my page WT dot BUZZBACKSLASHTC at
Wadyertalk dot com. We've got playoff baseball. We're running real.
We're on a seventy eight percent baseball run right now
dating back to last year sixteen and five in the
postseason with my last twenty one postseason play. So we're
in action with Toronto and Seattle. I also have a
(26:22):
play on Monday Night football. And no, this weekend was
not a good weekend. Unfortunately, it wasn't disaster, but it
certainly wasn't a good weekend. It wasn't a winning weekend.
And that being said, we are in action tonight for
a chance to get it back. So check out the
homepage WT dot buzz back and we're still you know,
the run is pretty good. I think I'm sixty percent
(26:44):
over the last three weeks across sports. I can't complain.
The college football in particular has been pretty good, sixty
seven percent run during that span. So again, check out
the page. Don't buy a play, get a package. If
you want to get on board, let's partner up. You know,
we got these great deals right now. This is a
three month deal that I think is excitption. It's that
time of the year where there's a lot of stuff
(27:04):
going on. You can get it all again. Just visit
my pagewt buzz backslash TC.
Speaker 2 (27:09):
All right, Teddy, the Bears do play tonight on Monday
Night Football, but this week they are playing the New
Orleans Saints.
Speaker 1 (27:16):
Again. I backed the Saints, thinking this team had maybe
turned a quarter.
Speaker 2 (27:20):
I thought, hey, Spencer Rattler gets that, you know, monkey
off his back. He gets his first win, Callen Morgets
his first one as head coach. But as you mentioned,
that Saints secondary just got worked and that is my
concern here versus the Bears. We know that Caleb Williams
has that ability.
Speaker 3 (27:39):
Look aheadline Chicago minus six forty five and a half.
My powering number Chicago minus six. The markets have opened
five and a half forty five and a half with
the Bears. Obviously, Chicago hasn't played yet this week. If
they look good tonight, the number likely to reopen a
little bit higher. They're off the bye and then the
Monday night football game against Washington. There are things to
(28:02):
like about New Orleans. There's still one of the worst
teams in the league. You know, the defense, stuff to run.
I talked about the Patriots running back just twenty two
or forty five. Spencer Rattler only threw six incomplete passes,
no interceptions in that ballgame. And it wasn't like they
were far away. They're driving for the go ahead score
in the fourth quarter. And then Juwan Johnson was he down?
(28:23):
Did he fumble? Well, they decided that he fumbled Instead
of a first down catch, it's a fumble, and then
of course the Saints never got the ball back after that.
Kellen Moore post game moon in the locker room is
quote just frustration. We had opportunities. Everyone can feel that
I've got to figure out a way to get us there.
We're close, We're knocking on the door. Chase Young back
(28:46):
from a cafe injury. He made his season debut, which
is a big boost for the defense. He got in
Drake May's face a couple of times. The Saints' biggest
issue this season probably the red zone execution. What you
expect with a young QB and a passing game that's
hit or miss. You know, I mean, a Lobby's a playmaker,
but he's the one. You know. They entered the game
(29:11):
ranked twenty ninth in red zone touchdown forty percent touchdowns
and you know, against the Patriots, just one touchdown in
that ball game. So New Orleans got to turn threes
into sevens if they're going to start playing decent football,
and certainly or start playing winning football. Playing decent football,
I guess. But if they're gonna start playing winning football,
(29:33):
they have to improve that red zone efficiency. Chicago's defense
going into Monday Night football is statistically a disaster, which
perhaps could give them a chance to do so.
Speaker 2 (29:44):
All right, Minnesota is also off of buy and they
are now playing the Philadelphia Eagles.
Speaker 1 (29:50):
Who just got absolutely worked by the New York Giants.
Speaker 2 (29:54):
That was basically the only upset that was like I
would say exciting, right, that was wire to wire Giants
ass kicking. And yes, I'm rubbing some salts of the
wounds for our producer, Dan and Teddy's gonna pour it
on here because I can't wait to hear Teddy's teak
versus this Minnesota Vikings team.
Speaker 3 (30:12):
Look aheadline here, Philadelphia minus three. There were forty two
and a half slast forty three for the total. My
powering number has the Eagles only minus one. The markets
are at two and a half right now. I don't
think it's going to three. I don't like anything I'm
hearing out of Philadelphia, and while I'm not seeing signs
of it yet. Again, the look head line was three,
(30:37):
if you want Minnesota, let's emergency. Benny alert did even
though there's no sense you want Minnesota. Now we have
them on the money line now grabbing plus the points.
Now they're issues in Philadelphia. All right, there's six games
for the Eagles. They've been out yarded in all six
back to back losses. Lots of chirping, only one to
nine on third downs. They are allowed eleven third down
versions from the gm man the first time they suffered
(30:57):
back to back losses since twenty twenty three. They allowed
three or three red zone defense four zero turnovers offense
had two see Kwon Berkley. Is he the MVP last year?
He probably should have been. If he wasn't, I don't
even know. I pay no attention to that award. But
complete non factor. His most rushing yards this week two
is fifty eight, right, that was twelve to fifty eight
(31:18):
this week. You know, last year two thousand yards at
five point eight yards per carry. This year he's on
pace for nine hundred yards of three point four yards
per carry. All right, Jalen hurts, He's not right He's
overthrew DeVonta Smith on a wide open play would have
been a touchdown. He's throwing interceptions, you know, first pick
of this season. You know it's only two in the
(31:39):
last fifteen games. Quote, I gotta be better. You know
he's due, is what I'm saying. AJ Brown. We're still
trying to find our identity. Right tackle Lane Johnson quote,
you know, it feels like we need to be less predictable.
It seems a lot harder than it needs to be.
Maybe moving forward, have just a bit more variety thing
the perimeter zone. He said, Oh no, I'm not at
(32:00):
new Optic winner Kevin Battolo. But you know, a lot
of it comes down to execution. We'll go back and
look at the tape. Seet we got to fix. But
moving forward, maybe be more efficient, less predictable. Yeah, more injuries.
Jalen Carter's hurt, cornerback Kenyon Mitchell's hurt. And again, this
is not a great secondary. We knew that coming in.
It's a rebuilt secondary. Minnesota's off of a London win
(32:23):
and a bye week, not necessarily a bet on situation.
Don't know yet who's going to be starting at QB
for the Vikings, but really between JJ McCarthy and Carson Wentz.
If it's a I don't think the market's gonna move
a whole lot between those two guys two and a half.
I don't think you'll get a better number than that
with Minnesota this week or on the money line. I
(32:45):
could be wrong. This is not one you know when
you talk about the mercy betting alerts in the confidence
this is not my most confident one. I'm not convinced
this line is gonna move, but I don't think it
gets to three. I haven't seen any signs of Philadelphia
is about to take market support. And Minnesota's a team
that team people seem to like and a coach you
people seem to like off a bye week, so I
(33:05):
do I would not be shocked at all if we
see Minnesota money.
Speaker 2 (33:08):
Teddy Minnesota and a teaser seems right up my alley.
Speaker 1 (33:11):
Forty three right, Okay.
Speaker 3 (33:14):
Lock it up?
Speaker 2 (33:15):
Okay, all right, I'm gonna start looking for that once
we get into this next game.
Speaker 1 (33:19):
This one's a real thriller.
Speaker 2 (33:21):
Who've got the Jets coming off that London game loss
at home and they get to play the Carolina Panthers,
but I will say as a Panthers backer yesterday.
Speaker 1 (33:30):
Overall, I was pleased, we'll say the for betting on
the Panthers. I was pleased with the result.
Speaker 3 (33:38):
I'm sure you were. They go on and covered, got
them on the money line. They catched. But we talked
about the Browns being favored. Now the Jets are favored.
You know, hey, hello, winless team and I don't have
The Jets is the worst team in the league. I
got them right with New Orleans. They're a couple points
better than the Titans. Look aheadline Jets minus two and
(33:58):
a half total forty four and ahead my powering numbers.
Pick them. The markets are one in forty four last night,
and there's ones, there's one and a half. There's pick
thems out there right now forty three, forty three and
a half the prevailing total. We've seen a little bit
of early under money for this one. Bryce Young when
he's not being asked to carry the entire offensive load
(34:22):
is just fine, you know, seventeen to twenty five. I mean,
when you have a young QB, you need a balanced
game plan and he only you know, twenty five pass
attempts yesterday. That's right, You know, five touchdown passes over
the last two games from Bryce Young, by the way,
who couldn't make it in the NFL, He's too small. No,
what happened is they found a running game. Recodoutle another
two hundred yard afternoon, the first underdrafted player in NFL history,
(34:45):
alf two hundred yards and back to back weeks one
hundred and eighty three on the ground. Offense six point
four yards per play, game defense five point five yards
per play allowed against a pretty good Dallas offense. You know,
they have four hundred and seventy three yards from scrimmage
over the last two weeks for Dout. By the way,
only the seventh NFL playing in the last twenty years
to post back to back two hundred yard games. The
(35:05):
last one to do it. Oh, sorry, that broke the
franchise record. The last guy who had it was Christian McCaffrey.
You know, Brian Schottenheimer quote from the opposing coach. We
knew they were a physical football team, they were able
to run it, and we weren't five and five. Sorry,
they're playing five hundred, five hundred level football. They're three
(35:28):
and three, five hundred for the first time since twenty
twenty one back to back wins. Is this a team
Carolina that can handle success and play with intensity? Of course,
the Jets are coming off. I mean, if you watched
the London game, it was a debacle. It was not
a pretty football for either squad. It was also the
worst passing performance in New York Jets history, a minus
(35:49):
ten net passing yards for the Jets. You know the
last team, the team that was worse than that, Telly,
You'll love this one. Ryan Leif game as a starter
back in nineteen ninety eight, and whenever you're getting Ryan
Leaf comparisons, that's not a good sign. Justin Peels, of course,
(36:10):
was nine to seventeen for forty five yards. He lost
fifty five yards on sex and Aaron Glenn is he's
struggling right now. You know, we had that issue before
halftime where the Jets did some pretty inexplicable Okay, you're
gonna go forward on fourth down from your own territory
and then let the clock run out. It didn't make
a whole lot of sense, you know. Aaron Glenn, he
was asked me to consider a quarterback change after Fields
(36:32):
had the single worst performance in the history of the
New York Jets and Aaron Glenna, what kind of question
is that? You know, I understand where you guys are
going to try to take this, but listen, there's a
number of other guys that have to pick their game
up too. I don't want to sit there and pin
it all on Justin. You can't just say sit there
and say, oh, man, we're gonna bench him because I
thought in some other games he's played well. So I'm
(36:53):
not looking at this just like man, he played a
bad game. I don't see it that way. Then again,
it was all time bad. It wasn't just a bad game.
It was really really bad. You know. Garrett Wilson pretty frustrated.
Three catches thirteen yards quote. I don't know exactly what
the game plan is. I'll just say that Wilson quote.
(37:14):
I think we've got to truly have but we've got
nothing to lose. Mentality. If that's how we feel, it's
got to be obvious or out there as a players
you feel like, oh, yeah, let's go. I think that's
where we got to. We're owing six let it fly.
I'll say that. Of course, the Jets didn't get one
hundred yards of offense in that Baggain. Now, Denver's defense
(37:36):
heck a lot better than Carolina's defense. There's urgency for
the Jets. There are also a team that doesn't get
a bye week coming back from London, Worth noting just
managed one sack in that Baggain four sacks in the
first five games. The Jets are doing the opposite of
complimentary football. When the defense is stepped up, the offense stinks.
When the offense is stepped up, the defense stinks. And
(37:57):
that's why they're owing six right now.
Speaker 2 (37:59):
All Right, we're gonna see if they get to be
one and six, but I'm not so sure that will
be the case, Teddy, I think this is gonna be
the best game. Next weekend, the Colts are headed back
to so Far to play the Chargers.
Speaker 1 (38:13):
Here. I almost called it the soccer stadium.
Speaker 2 (38:14):
Because when I lived in Las Vegas, that is where
we went to go see Chargers game was at the
soccer stadium. Any let's just put this way. The Colts
have already been there this year to play the Rams.
Is there any points spread, a half, a point or
anything like that that you would give because they've already
played and probably should have won in that stadium.
Speaker 3 (38:38):
So on the one hand, this is the fatigue factory
for flying to the West coast of flying back and
then flying back and then flying back. You know that's
but the fact that they're familiar with the venue it
doesn't hurt. But am I adding anything to the points
spread because of it? Now? You know we've already seen
Chargers money this morning worth noting and giving the Colts
(38:58):
injury report. Dan, let's do one more of these, Dan,
we would love.
Speaker 1 (39:06):
To do an emergency betting alert.
Speaker 3 (39:08):
I haven't I told them before. I'm like, we might
do one on this one. I don't get a heads up, Polly,
I got, I gotta get. I thought this is what
I heads up to you on that it might come.
So I don't know. I don't know what I said
before the show. All I know is what's what I'm
saying live. Anyhow, we've already seen Chargers money right now,
look aheadline LA minus one. There were forty eight slash
(39:30):
forty eight and a half of the total. My powering
number comes Chargers two, and I'm pretty high on the
Colts markets opened one and forty eight last night. I'm
seeing one and a half popping at Leading Indicator Books
right now. I don't know. It's not getting a three,
I don't think. But there are issues with the Colts
injury report all right, most assuredly to various war The
starting cornerback got hurt yesterday in h We had Kenny Moore,
(39:56):
another starting cornerback who has issues in that contest. So
when you have multiple injuries in the secondary for Indy,
that's a concern. And in theory, the Chargers are gonna
get healthier between now and what they played with yesterday.
And you know, we talked about MVP kid, Jonathan Taylor
(40:18):
might be MVP right now. You know, the Colts offense again,
another game where they're not punting for extended stretches, no
punts after halftime yesterday. Nine of nine red zone touchdowns
the last two weeks Taylor twenty one carries one hundred
and twenty three yards. When you have that offensive balance,
you score touchdowns in the red zone. When you have
to run and you can't pass, or you have to
pass and you can't run, you don't score touchdowns in
(40:39):
the red zone. You know, Colts faced adversity, battled through it.
I'm a believer in Indy, but I still think the
money is going to come for the Chargers here. You know,
why are we talk about running backs? Don't matter? Come on,
how many guys out there yesterday had come on e
Vidal on your fantasy team? Nobody anyone ever heard of him?
He went to Troy, one of these guys that you're
paying attention to college football. I had heard of him.
(41:01):
But who needs Najie Harris? Who needs a Marion Hampton?
You know, your third string running back, your fourth string
whatever he was, the guy was on the practice squad.
Eighteen carries, one hundred and twenty four yards is about
the matchup, and it's about the defensive line that you know,
a few the office lines making holes for you. And
that's about if the passing game is working far more
(41:21):
than how good any You know, the difference between the
number twenty running back and the number or the number
the number fifty running back and the number five running
back isn't that great? You know, seven red zone trips
for the Chargers, only two touchdowns, but they got to
the red zone seven times. That's a positive sign. And
of course, you know the play that Herbert made to
win the game was impressive. Harball quote. He's just able
(41:45):
to mighty man it and shake it off and hit
lad McConkey. I'm gonna remember that play until they throw
dirt over the top of me. That's how great I
feel about that. Justin Herbert, I mean, he's like Hercules
out there talking off his quarterback. Herbert looking more or
more like a quarterback who you'd want your money on
than the so is Danny Dimes forty eight and a half.
(42:08):
Maybe like the over in that ball game a little bit.
Speaker 1 (42:11):
Okay, the over, that's interesting.
Speaker 2 (42:13):
I could see that, and that concerns me about possibly
teasing the Colts with that higher total. Teddy the Denver Broncos.
Now it's taking on the Giants, who I mentioned probably
looked the best of any team this weekend. Wire to
wire underdog winner just absolutely dominated Jackson Dark Cam Skataboo
I hand up.
Speaker 1 (42:35):
I'm a fan.
Speaker 2 (42:36):
I normally don't care, but like those two are out
there having fun and you don't.
Speaker 1 (42:41):
Always see that.
Speaker 2 (42:42):
You'll see a good touchdown celebration. I think it was
one of the Bucks players, Jester I did this crazy flip.
Speaker 1 (42:48):
That kind of stuff is.
Speaker 2 (42:48):
Fun, But like these two are like a dynamic duo,
So my brain's going all right, fade fade the next week,
all right, were we believers of this Giants team or not?
Speaker 3 (42:59):
Ye know, last time Giant it's won. The next game
they turned them ball over five because they get possessions
and lost to New Orleans. So you know, look aad
line here, Denver minus seven and a half total forty one.
My powering number, Denver minus seven. The markets opened seven
slash seven and a half last night and that's exactly
where they are this morning. Seven and seven is the
prevailing number total sitting forty and a half as we speak.
(43:22):
We've seen a little bit of under money the Broncos
where it was ugly game in London. And of course,
now this isn't an East Coast team trailing back from London.
There's seven time zone differential between Mountain time and London time,
for what it's worth, and there's no bye week in between,
so that's something a concern. I mean, Denver and Dever
wasn't clean. You know, they had a fumble, they had
(43:44):
a bunch of penalties, holding penalty in their own end zone.
They allowed two huge kick returns seventy two yarders that
to kind of change the game in that ball game.
But the one thing they did they played defense that's
an elite that's a super Bowl caliber defense in Denver.
You know, nine of Justin Field's in that ballgame. You
know bone Nick's early touchdown passed Will Lux with the
(44:05):
game winning field goal Sean Payton. You know, we had
a number of errors. There will be a lot of
us that want to clean some stuff up, but from
a spot standpoint, not necessarily the best spot for Denver
given the travel circumstances. That being said, the Giants just
went eleven to sixteen on third downs against the team
that's struggling defensively. Now they're going to play the pretty
elite defense allowed only one of nine Eagles convergence in
(44:26):
that ball game. By the way, when three to three
in the red zone, no turnovers, defense force two. We
saw the rookies running wild in that contest. You know,
Brian Davill, you go through some tough time. Sometimes you
get stronger from it, sometimes you can fold. I like
our guys, these young players. Have a lot of confidence
in these young players, the rookies, they have the right mindset.
They're tough, so positive science for the g men, I
(44:47):
don't know that they're's initially a great matchup for them
against a Denver defense that's pretty darn good. But again,
I don't love the spot for Denver either.
Speaker 2 (44:56):
Yeah, Denver, that eight and zero against the spread is
a favorite line last year is not looking so good as.
Speaker 1 (45:02):
A favorite this year.
Speaker 2 (45:03):
If it does get to seven and a half, you
guys already know I'm gonna take the chicken way out
and tease it with one of these other teams.
Speaker 1 (45:09):
All right.
Speaker 2 (45:09):
The Washington Football Commanders are playing tonight on Monday Night Football,
but they face Division rival Dallas Cowboys here on Sunday afternoon.
Speaker 3 (45:21):
Teddy, Yeah, we're short on time. I'm gonna leave this
really quick. Look headline two and a half, fifty two
and a half, my powering number two and a half.
Market's open two and a half and fifty three and
a half last night, and we're seeing two and a
half and fifty three and a half this morning. Basically,
look aheadline, my powering the markets opening. The current market
numbers are all exactly the same. Now if Washington, if
(45:42):
you like Washington tonight, maybe you parlay them, or you
make two bets instead of one and take Washington in
both games. If their commanders look really good tonight though
they could well be laying three in this contest. But
if you don't like Washington night, I don't think this
line's gonna move. And the Dallas defense again, they give
(46:03):
up two hundred sixteen rushing yard six point four yard
after play the offense nineteen of thirty one rushing George
Pickens picked up the slack with no CD lamb, but
the rest of the receiving corps just ninety three combined yards. Schottenheimer,
you know, we knew they were a physical football team.
They were able to run it and we weren't. That's
not a poltive quote in my mind for Dallas against
(46:25):
the Washington team that runs the football pretty well.
Speaker 2 (46:27):
All right, Moving right along, the Green Bay Packers are
headed to Arizona. Arizona looked decent with Jacoby Brissett not
gonna lie. I had the Colts great number, didn't matter.
Thank god I was smart enough to come back and
try to take the middle, because Arizona probably should have won.
Speaker 1 (46:43):
That football game.
Speaker 3 (46:45):
Yeah, they found a way to lose it, though they
were another team that's finding ways to lose. A look
at line. Packers five and a half forty five my
powering number six. The markets opened six and I didn't right,
didn't adjust much. I think I'm about a half point
or a point from Kyler Murray to Jacobe Brissett. I
don't even know what's worth that. The offense actually worked
as well with Prissett than it did with Murray. He
(47:06):
just doesn't bring that scramble ability element to the table.
But again, five and a half, the look ahead six,
my powereding six and a half forty four and a half.
Last night they were it opened and that's exactly where
it's sitting today. We've seen basically no movement on this one.
So I had Green Bay yesterday and I really thought
that they would destroy that team, especially because they saw
(47:26):
Flacco three weeks ago and its dead. Flacco picked him
apart in the second half or down the stretch. This
defense just isn't forcing turnovers, zero takeaways versus quarterback with
the second most interception of the NFL this year, playing
on a pass happy team with three practices under his belt.
You know, last year this team forced thirty one turnovers.
You know, they spent the offseason talking about taking more turnovers.
(47:48):
They spent the bye week talking about more turnovers. And meanwhile,
only the Jets, with their historic lack of turnover forced
have fewer than the Packers two this year. They only
sack Joe Flacco once in that ball game as well. Meanwhile,
Jordan Love threw a red zone interception against the bad defense.
They didn't average ten yards per pass attempt. Yeah, Green
Bay six point eight yards per play, Cincinnati four point three.
(48:09):
You're supposed to cover games where you win the yards
per play by two and a half yards. But really,
the Packers didn't sniffup points red cover. They allowed two
of two red zone touchdowns, both on fourth downs. But
you read the quotes, it's not a let's lay touchdowns
with this team type of quotes. You know, last year
you talked about Denver's strength is the favorite. Last year
(48:30):
Packers won five games by sixteen or more. Last year
there were number four, number five in the NFL and
point of reshold. They were right there with the Lions, Eagles, Ravens,
and Bills, the elites, the teams you will lay points
with these quotes, you know, Jordan Love, I think the
ultimate goal is just going one to zero. It's going
to be some ugly games. Not everyone, not every game
is going to be pretty. It's not going to be
a blowout every time, so you just got to find
(48:51):
a way to win these tight ones. Matt Lafleur quote,
I feel a sense of relief right now after beating Cincinnati.
We always try to take it one, even a time
coming off a buye. You know, the bottom line is
you got to find a way to win the game.
And you see each and every week around the league,
a lot of these games are going down to the wire.
Those are not less laid points with them type of quotes.
(49:12):
You know. The Cardinals allowed to and need to score
on every defensive possession. They've lost four straight now. The
last two they've blown fourth quarter leads. The previous two
they lost time game winning field goals as time expired.
In this game, look, that was a passing. I mean,
I'm not a guy that bitches about that kind of stuff,
but that was as obvious a passing inference callers are
(49:33):
gonna get on a fourth down where the receivers holding
him in the end zone. So now now they're not
getting the calls either. U and Marvin Harrison got hurt.
He had He's in concussion protocol and we'll have to
see how healthy he is, but it's not a dynamic
offense to begin with, and without Harrison it's even less dynamic.
So Green Bay saying don't lay points with us in
(49:55):
Arizona saying we're not that good.
Speaker 1 (49:58):
All right.
Speaker 2 (49:59):
I'm not sure if this team is any good, but
I did bet them to win the Super Bowl? How
would be the forty nine ers Atlanta Place tonight? But
they are headed to San Francisco after And that's a
funny graphic. Somebody forgot to change the wording. I love
live shows. Way to go, Dan takes it down. All right,
let's talk about the Falcons at the Niners?
Speaker 1 (50:18):
Please?
Speaker 3 (50:18):
Yeah, Sunday Night football next week? Look aheadline. There were
three and a half for San Fran. There were four
and a half for San Fran. Total forty five and
a half after the latest forty nine Ers rash of injuries.
I made the number one and a half last night.
I'm seeing threes at the open, forty four and a
half the total, and we've seen nothing but over money
for this one from the open, still three, but now
(50:40):
we're seeing forty five and a half, forty six even
forty six and a half out there for this total.
Mac Jones. He's not Brock Party. He's playing, and he's
playing through kni and oblique injuries. His two interceptions yesterday
essentially cost San Fran the game. They'd be only two
turnovers in the game. And he's not healthy. Party's out,
Ricky Piersol's out, brand Aaek's out, Johann Jay and he's
played with an ankle spring and five broken ribs, and
(51:02):
George Kittle's out, and Jordan Watkins and Jacob Cowans the backups.
Nick Bosa on IR Now Fred Warner is going to
join him, join him, and Fred Warner is as big
a leader as that team has. You know, you know,
Jennings said he had to take nause of medicine after
Warner got hurt. Losing Fred. He's one of the guys
I look up to. Again, it's an offensive player talking
about a defensive player. He was one of the guys
(51:24):
who's led this team year in, year out, and his
words of encouragement for every game. Man, we just know
how much he left the game. It was very sad.
It makes me sick to my stomach. Offense five point
your yards per play, defense seven point zero yards per
play allowed. Those are not good numbers. Atlanta plays tonight,
and again, if you like the Falcons tonight, I wouldn't
(51:44):
argue with the concept of taking making that a parlay.
Take Atlanta plus the points tonight, Take Atlanta plus the
points in San Francisco. You could well end up being
getting the best of the number.
Speaker 2 (51:54):
All right, We've got a pair of Monday night football games.
The first one is the Buccaneers. It's not a steam
in football. Baker Mayfield might be arguably in that MVP
race headed to take on the Detroit Lions.
Speaker 1 (52:07):
Dan Campbell off.
Speaker 2 (52:08):
A loss is always worth a look, Teddy, talk to
me about this game.
Speaker 3 (52:13):
Yeah, look aheadline here, Detroit four and a half, fifty
three and a half. My powering number Detroit four and
a half. The market's open four and a half, fifty
three and a half last night, and they're sitting four
and a half. There are some fives out there, There
is even a five and a half, but I'll call
it four and a half as the prevailing number right now,
still fifty three and a half. There are some fifty
three slash fifty two and a half out there as well.
(52:36):
Some of the leading indicator books say, look at the
under if you want the under grab a fifty three
and a half as we speak, but of course by
next Monday night there could be over money pouring in anyway.
Tampa has injury problems everywhere, and I understand they've been
winning games, but they're extraordinarily banged up. You know, talk
(53:00):
about Mike Evans and how herd he Eg Buka got
hurt yesterday, Jayley Millan's been hurt, Bucky Irvings hurt, you know,
ed Godwin's not playing. They have, they've got concerns and
of course coming off another win, and yesterday's win a
little bit more comfortable than what they've had. Cluster injuries
(53:20):
in the secondary for Tampa Baye and Morrison is Zion
McCollum both hurt. So they have an extra day to
get some of these guys healthy. But Tampa Bay's injury
reports pretty ugly. And you talked about Dan Campbell's track
record off a loss line has been pretty good bet
on in these spots. They did not play good football
last night.
Speaker 2 (53:41):
All right, over three thousand people watching live that hopefully
stick around for wager talk today up next. But we've
got this last Monday night football game, Teddy, We've got
the Houston Texans taking on the Seattle Seahawks.
Speaker 3 (53:55):
Yeah, look aadline here, Seattle minus three total of forty two.
My power numbers, Seattle minus two and a half. The
markets opened three and forty two last night. We're seeing
three and forty one in the market this morning, and
I'm sensing we're gonna get some more under money here.
I don't know if it's emergency a bet worthy ish,
(54:17):
but we're the leading indegrative books are down to you know,
are telling us that we could easily get more under
money here. The Texans off a blow with the Ravens
and then a bye week. They still have really much
time as you ever get. You get fifteen days I
get ready for your next game. I don't know. That's
a good thing in the NFL. And the Sea Bags
officially getting some love from the betting markets right now.
(54:38):
Sam Donald, I guess he's good now. Ten point nine
yards per play, no interceptions, only one sec. The office
of line for Seattle has been night and day better
this year. They still didn't run the ball particularly well
in yesterday's win, but you know thirteen first downs one
to twelve on third downs that were issues. It's not seamless.
But when you talk about Smith the Jigma, he's just
(55:00):
scary as any receiver in the game right now, as
scary as you know Jefferson or whoever you want to
tell me he's the best receiver in the NFL. I'll say,
maybe looking Seattle for that guy. He's got four hundred
yard games. In a ninety six yard game the first
six weeks, the defense had seven sacks, control the line
of scrimmage on both sides of the football. The Jags
never reached the red zone in that game, and the
(55:20):
defense basically you know, fourth quarter, one score game, defense
force three punts in the fourth quarter. That being said,
they're playing without three starting defensive backs this past week
in Wreek woll And Devin Willis going to Julian Love.
Those guys get healthy, this total will go down and
that could be a part of why this number has
already come down. They're expecting some Seattle secondary players to
(55:46):
get back in the lineup. Jaron Reid got hurt yesterday
on the defensive line. He too, is an injury worth
paying attention to. If you like that.
Speaker 2 (55:54):
Under all, right, Teddy covers anything you would like to
leave our audience with before we get out of here.
