run through this week's NFL slate in terms of where

really close to saying ooh nice four and O'Day in
the Westgate Super Contest because now it doesn't matter because
I'm just sitting right around five hundred.

Realized that when I had switched the Broncos game from
twenty four to seven to watch Packers Bears, that some
insanity ensued, at least from a side and total perspective.

the show, and of course you know the certainly if
you had the Broncos and or the under yesterday, pretty
tough the way that game ended, though, I you know
that the Dave Portnoy meltdown is a little bit and
that's dangerous, all right.

Once you route professional, dude, if you're if you're, if
you're like the face of a sports book, the last
thing you want to be doing is, oh, by the way,
all these games are rigged and investigate everybody.

Raiders a huge need yesterday for the sports books? Absolutely? Was.

I understand why people that haven't been doing this this
long want to scream collusion, want to be outraged. Would
I be stocked to know that Pete Carroll knows the spread?

No, I wouldn't.

And just to give you a little fu on the
way out the door, because they got absolutely dominated by
the Broncos.

Not surprising in the slightest, No.

That's why we don't put all of our bank roll
on any one given play, all right, no matter how
good it looks, no matter how it plays out.

Remember the Eagles Rams all right, in my opinion, was
a worse beat than this one, or every bit as
bad as this one, you know, maybe worse.

Speaker 1 (02:22):
But I was on the opposite side of that. So
those are the good that come with the bad, and
that's gambling, especially in the NFL.

Sure, but do I believe that there?

Speaker 3 (02:35):
And again the play with the flag to stop the clock,
it was a bonehead plate, but you can throw a
flag there. I didn't think that there's anything bizarre about
throwing that flag there. You know, the guy's laying on
top of him's supposed to be getting up. If you
would have gotten up, you wouldn't have thrown the flag.
And the problem would meself and said he's knocking the
ball out of his hands. It was again by the

book delay a game. I've seen that, not in that
particular scenario where the spread is going to be covering.
Then of course Carol coming on with the field goal unit,
which I'm sure is his little you know, you say,
does he know the point spread? Maybe that's his little few,
but he's allowed to do that.

Was, we thought we might have one second left to
try an on side, all right, it's gambling.

And then that just reminded me of the field goal
with the Broncos in Indianapolis. I mean, these things happen, yes,
every single week, but.

They happen four or five, six, seven times a year.

Especially when you're betting on a significant amount of games,
You're going to be involved in more of those games,
and eventually it's going to even out.

Maybe maybe it doesn't. You know, if you have more
right sides, it's just like a poker. If you're starting
with better hands, you're gonna have more bad beats against you.
If you started with more right sides, you're it may
not even out exactly. But the point is this. You know,
when the guy gets into the end zone and he
does the celebration like you know he to the end
of it, it's like act like you've been there before.

Bed beats are gonna happen. They're a part of the process.

If you can't handle it, you can't be betting, plain

I should be bitching about this Tampa Bay Buccaneers team
who got absolutely dominated by the Saints yesterday. That was
then You've got, you know, the Falcons, Kirk Cousins. A
lot of people took the seven with the Falcons with
no avail pretty much after the first quarter. Seattle dominated
that game. Talk to me about Falcons now Thursday night. Oh,

Talk to me about the Tampa Bay team that was
I hought to start the season now has started to
really fizzle out.

Yeah, yeah, September October is a long way in the
rearview mirror now, right, ask India asked Tampa.

Wasn't Baker Mayfield an MVP candidate? Yes, it sworn, I remembered.

I think I think I might have even said it. Anyhow,
as we do each and every week here on the
NFL Opening Line Report, the way you talk NFL opening
line report, I give you four sets of lines for
every game. The first set we call the look ahead line.
These are the betable lines for this game last week,
so we can see how much one week affected the
point spread between these two teams. Then they give you

(06:32):
my power rating number, and that's just team A Team B.
Home field does not factor in situation at all. So
give you a look head line my powering number. I'll
give you the opener from last night, and then what's
happened since the opener what we're looking at today on
the Odds Logic Live Odds screen. So for Atlanta Tampa
Bay look ahead line, there were five and a half,
so there were six out there for the Bucks. Total

(06:54):
was forty four and a half. My powering number came
Tampa Bay five and a half. Markets opened five and
a half last night, and I'm seeing a split market
right now.

Speaker 4 (07:05):
The money's come for Atlanta.

Speaker 3 (07:07):
The five and a half are still out there, but
there's five and four and a halfs in the betty market.
In fact, those are the prevailing numbers right now. And
this is really a pick your poison kind of game,
all right. I'll talk about Tampa in a minute. Let's
talk about Atlanta. They've one and seven their last eight games,
you know, eight straight losing seasons. This team hasn't been
the playoffs, hasn't even been the playoffs since twenty eight

to three. All right, special team's meltdowns for the Falcon
second week in a row. Come out in the second
half of game, the game's tight. Do you talk about
the last forty five minutes in that game? That game
is tied six to sixth at halftime, Atlanta comes out
and kicks the second half kickoff, and Seattle returned for
a touchdown game over right there, and then they had
a block field goal from an unblocked defender. Second week

in a row for Rahee Mars where the special teams
have been costing them big time. And you know, Drake
London's out. Atlanta's not a team I'm excited about putting
money on down the stretch Raheem Morris. I don't think
he'll be back. And obviously you're playing with a veteran
backup quarterback who is cashing his check. Say it was

Say what you want about the Kirk Couz at this
stage of his career. That being said, you know, Tampa
beat San Francisco week six. They were five and one
at the time. Since that time, they beat the Saints
once in two meetings, and they have a win against Arizona.
With five losses, they're two and five straight up their
last five games, one and four straight up oher and

five against the spread. The only game they were able
to win with by a field goal against Arizona. The
defense allowed one hundred and thirty nine rushing yards yesterday
gashed by Tyler Schuck. Baker wasn't good, you know, fourteen
to thirty for a Buck twenty two four point one
yards per past them.

That's not gonna cut it, you know.

Speaker 3 (08:52):
To Todd Bowles, quote, doesn't matter whether the team is
twelve and oh or oh twelve.

other team is going to beat you. Talk about how
maybe they weren't up for a division rival at their

to correct it. If we want to make a run
of this thing, we've got to get it together and

All right, Texans looked pretty good on Sunday Night football
over the Chiefs, at least from a defensive standpoint there.
Teddy and I had the rams and teasers yesterday. I said,
I don't really love this spot.

Nope, easy pasy.

The Cardinals are just on a down world spiral. Kind
of talk to me about this one, because I think
now you're starting to pay a premium here for the
Houston Texans.

Speaker 3 (10:03):
Sure that maybe pay a premium to bet against the
Arizona Cardinals. Look aheadline here there were six and a
half and sevens for Houston total forty two and a
half my powering number after the Cardinals got smacked last
night and the Texans upset the Chiefs as high as
nine for this ballgame again six and a half, as
low as for the Look at nine's my powering number

(10:23):
the markets before the game, there were seven to seven
and a half, forty two and a half after the game,
nine and a half even a prominent ten out there
for Houston total forty two.

And a half.

And I don't know if the Texans are the kind
of team you want to lay more than a touchdown with.
That's not their mo They're not about winning necessarily by margin.
And how they win last night. They win the one
last night because Kansas City dropped passes, Kansas City made
bad fourth down decisions deep in their own territory in a.

Tie game in the fourth quarter.

Speaker 3 (10:52):
It was yes, Houston won, and Houston played well enough
to win.

Speaker 4 (10:59):
Did they play enough to win by double digits? I
don't know.

Speaker 3 (11:02):
As for Arizona, look, you know they give up tw
hundred and forty nine rushing yards yesterday and that included
three Jimmy Garoppolo O'Neil downs. The defense allowed seven point
nine yards per play and thirty first downs. It's worth
noting the last three games against divisional opponents for Arizona,
they've been lit up in every one of them, blowout
loss forty four to twenty two. Forty one to twenty two,

forty five to seventeen Seattle. San fran and the Rams
have destroyed Arizona, but every other opponent they played since September,
they've hung tough all the other five loss of all
the way four points are left in the Monday night
football win at Dallas. That being said, you want to
talk about an ugly injury report after yesterday's game Arizona.
I mean there's you know, Max Melton, Marvin Harrison, Mario Dericado,

daydrin Tember.

I mean, I can go on and on.

It felt like, you know, Paris Johnson got hurt yesterday.
Below Nichols left in the second quarter, didn't come back.
James Dylan Thompson, the safety, left and didn't return. The
veterans are kind of checking out Arizona. The points bread
certainly affecting that the Cardinals not likely to get a.

Whole lot of betting support in the markets in early
week action.

Ooh, I wonder if this team is checking out.

Speaker 1 (12:09):
I bet against him last week and I got burnt
Teddy covers. Now the Raiders are headed to Philadelphia, who
do play tonight on Monday Night football. I think I'm
gonna use I have one survivor, one lowly survivor left,
and that I never have to talk about it again
in comment section, ear least not for the rest of
this season. And I think I'm gonna use Philadelphia as
one of the legs.

Philadelphia coming off a road trip, going back home to
play the Raiders.

Raiders aren't winning a whole lot of games these days.
You know, if there's a team to fade, I wouldn't
argue against it. And obviously yesterday the Raiders completely dominated
pretty much start to almost finish. They played a really
good last two and a half minutes. If you had
taking the points look aheadline here, Philly minus twelve and
a half forty my powering number, Philly minus twelve. The

market's open twelve and a half thirty eight and a
half last night, and that's what we're seeing today. Obviously,
the Eagles haven't played yet, but it's not a scenario
where we can anticipate the Raiders getting a whole lot
of public support, especially got me Gino injured his hand
and shoulder. We'll have to see if Kenny Pickett plays
and Picket look good, looked relatively good for what the

Raiders' offensive looked like this season. He didn't turn the
ball over eight of eleven ninety seven yards eight point
eight yards per past attempt solid that being said, rushing

Pete Carroll talking about who the quarterback is going to

Pickett plays, we're more likely to see Raider money than
if Gino plays. You know, from a power raking standpoint,
I'm not making a whole lot of difference. I'm making
a zero point zero percent adjustment between the qbs. But
when you have a younger QB with something to prove
as opposed a veteran playing out the string, sometimes you
get a bump off of that. As for Philly, they're
playing Monday night against the Chargers. They're off back to

back losses against Dallas Chicago. The last two games Philly
four and oh start three and one against the spread
four and four. Since both straight up and ats, they've
covered every game they've won. They failed to cover every
game they've lost over their last eight contest and that's
likely to be the case again tonight in a near
in this less than a field goal Eagle's favorite point

All right, here's a good question for you, Teddy. We
talk about drop offs from starters.

The Jets are on their third string quarterback Brady Cooking.
Yesterday I had them in a teaser and he bobbles
this on red zone. He bobbled the snap and then
he threw an interception. And I text my buddy Steven,
who does a lot of the teasers with me, and
he said, I said, I did not bet on Brady
cook And he goes, who the hell is that?

And That's what I knew we had a problem.

Speaker 1 (15:12):
I knew he was the rookie for Missouri, but good grief,
was that ugly. Now they're headed on the road to
play the Jags.

Speaker 2 (15:20):
I do think that Jags.

Speaker 1 (15:21):
Game was a little lopsided, obviously, because Danny Dimes appears
to have torn his achilles yesterday in that game. Talk
to me about this Jaguars team and them laying double
digits to Brady Cook and the Jets, barring Tyrod Taylor
making a comeback.

Speaker 3 (15:38):
Look aheadline Jacksonville minus nine and a half, forty three
and a half. My powering number Jacksonville minus ten and
a half. The markets opened eleven and a half and
forty two last night, And of course this is all
a matter of how much you're gonna adjust for how
much worse are the Jets with Brady Cook than they
were with Tyrod Taylor? And the market are saying more

(15:58):
than I thought, obviously with the eleven and a half
and forty two last night. And again, look at the
OS logic live on screen right now, I'm seeing eleven
and a half's out there, there's a twelve, there's a
thirteen with Jews coming the other way. So I'm not
anticipating that the Jets are going to attract a whole
lot of money this week. And yet bra he Cooked,
the rookie from Missouri, finished fourteen of thirty five point

(16:19):
four yards per past them, zero touchdowns, two interceptions. I'll
say this, he was better than Max Prosmer for Minnesota
last week. That's the worst QB performance we're gonna see
from any quarterback this season.

What we saw from.

Speaker 3 (16:32):
Mott Brosmer when the Vikings got shut out. So Cook
was better than that. That being said, the Jets were
one to twelve on third downs, They were out game
by more than two yards per play, and they were
minus three in turnovers. The defense force none again and
allowed two hunred and thirty nine rushing yards at five
point eight yards per carry. You know, Aaron Glenn quote,
this game was definitely disappointing. Really hard to put this

in words. The only thing I can say is I
didn't have these guys. I didn't have these guys ready
to play. That was obvious by the way we went
out there and played. You know, fifteenth straight non playoff
season for the Jets.

Jets, Jets, Jets.

Speaker 3 (17:08):
They're starting three rookies on defense right now and what
they do. They allowed touchdowns on each of the first
three series. They got one hundred and fifty three rushing
yards in the first half. Glenn was right, Jets were
not ready to play this past Sunday, and Miami made
them pay. As for Jacksonville, the defense, the Jets defense
isn't forcing turnover. Jacks defense is. They forced three turnovers

to knock Danny Dimes out of the game and they're
still member. We talked about it at the time, the
loss to the Texans, the game where they led twenty
nine to ten in the fourth quarter and then allowed
Houston to score three fourth quarter touchdowns and then get
a defensive score in the final play of the game
to win thirty seven, thirty seven to twenty nine. They're

still talking about that game, and that game has kind
of been a rallying cry for the Jags ever since
five and one now their last six games, the only
loss coming to the Texans, and they to talk about
how that lost is still haunting them. You know, Travis
at ten, At the end of the day, I feel
like no one likes us except for us. Just goes
along for being within the for being in this organization

and the way the organation has been for some time now,
we're not gonna get their respect. We kind of don't
even care. As long as we know we have inside
this locker room, we can go out there and take it.
There's no better feeling than being disrespected and having an
extra chip on your shoulder and having an extra edge.
And that same quote kind of echoed by Trevor Lawrence.
We feel we all feel like a really good team.

We probably don't get the credit we deserve. Everyone talks
about every other team, even our own division. All those
other teams are gonna go win the division, and nobody
cares about the Jaggs, which is fine. It's just kind
of how it is. We'll use it as a chip
on our shoulder and keep playing. It doesn't really matter.
Liam Cohen, same quote. I don't know if we'll ever
really get respect. That's the beauty of it. It ain't coming,

you know that, And that's totally fine. Our guys just
keep finding ways to get a little bit pissed off
and play their tails off at execute at a higher level.
So that whole well, no respect, no respect, no respect.
They're talking about that a lot in the Jaggs locker room.
They're talking about the game that they blew. In the
Jaggs locker room. Jacks was playing good football right now.
I know if they're playing last flight double digits with them,

good football with the Jaguars. From a powering standpoint, right now,
everybody as good as the Texans. Even though Houston is
a team getting the hype.

They're already talking about the Cleveland Browns. And I got
some pushback yesterday because I said, I cannot believe I
wasted a survivor pick on Shardeur Sanders and the Cleveland Browns,
and people were mad that I blamed it on Shador,
But I do think the reality was there was a
game turn turning point, if you will, where after he

threw that really bad interception, things really got away from
the brown team.

Then they were playing catchup.

Then that really stupid two point conversion that the comment
section is talking about. Anyway, on to this week, Caleb
Williams and the Browns are bears. Excuse me, hand up,
been dead wrong about this team, and at least from
this year's perspective, but they had a shot to win
it there late or at least tied up there late
in Lambeau, Caleb Williams picked off there in the end zone.

Kind of break down this game for us. What are
we going to see from both these teams going forward?

Yeah?

Speaker 3 (20:13):
So, and then of course the Browns debacle of a
two point conversion try. You know, that's not get anype
and that had every bit as much impactful impact on
anything as as.

What we saw.

That had almost as much impact on the Voys rad
That's what we saw versus here in Vegas, versus the
procos Brown's Bears look ahead line.

The markets split last night seven slash seven and a
half and forty. I wrote, first thing this morning, oh
look Cleveland money, and then now, oh look, Chicago money
back up to seven and a half. There were sevens
and the sevenths have kind of been bought up this morning,
and now we're seeing seven and a half's forty the

prevailing total you know, showed us yesterday they're not a
team you necessarily want to lay points with Miles.

Garrett was great.

Three Tigers were lost in another sack, but the defense
got gashed one hundred and eighty four rushing.

Yards in that ball game.

we really shouldn't focused on stopping the run. You know,

Carry yards per play worth Noting Cleveland lost the game, well,
they had six point four yards per play to Tennessee's

play battle by nearly two usually win those games at

as bad a play call as maybe the Raiders kicking

of the character that the Bills have. I give them
credit in that regard the Pats. They won ten straight,

you know, and then went into a bye week. I'm
not convinced that is a bet on scenario off that
thirty three to fifteen win on Monday Night football against
the Giants. You know, it's the longest winning streak since
twenty fifteen. Drake may interesting quote, just trying to be

like Miami did yesterday. When you do that, you win.

With the defense forces three turnover Dolphins has none. When
you go in the NFL, you win. They want a
cold other weather game. Last year in Cleveland, they won
a cold weather game yesterday in New York. So there's
certainly hope for Miami in a cold weather game. Here
