Speaker 1 (00:00):
Welcome everyone to UFC Macaw Breakdown. We're gonna do our
best here the road, do you. UFC fights are gonna
be here, mixed in with some other kind of interesting fights,
So we're gonna go over as much as we can here.
Let's just start out of Jim so Uh mahashate Nicholas Mada.

(00:24):
I got Mada as a live dog here. What do
you think?

Speaker 2 (00:26):
Agreed? I don't like Maha shot. I don't think he's
that good. I really don't agree. I know you're supposed
to like fighters coming into their prime and YadA, YadA, YadA.
I just don't think this guy's gotten any better. I
haven't seen anything improved from his debut to now. He's
super hittable. It's just, what's where's the improvements? You should

(00:49):
beat Gabriel Benitez? Should you beat him by split in
twenty twenty four? Hell no. So there's no way, there
is no possible way that I'm laying money on him.
I personally, I think Mada gets a finish in this fight.
I do. I think he gets a finish. You know,
he had that really really nasty knockout against Torres. I

(01:11):
believe it was it just you thought it was gonna
be career ending, and he jumps back with a no
contest and gets to win over Tom Nolan. I mean,
I think there is some tread left on the tires
of Mada. I do. I think he's got a much
higher ceiling than Maha shot. A lot of this ten
and three is not fantastic fighters, So give me Mada

(01:34):
as a dog man. Start tonight with a dog I
think it's.

Speaker 1 (01:37):
Counter punches are what's gonna be a big problem. Like
my shot, he just like comes in like hands down,
like I'm gonna knock somebody out, and then like he
does Mada, he got his win against Tom Nolan with
a really nice counter shot. I think the counter shots
are gonna be there all day. So I'm with you,

(01:57):
there's no way I'm laying juice shot versus Nicholas Mada here.
So you're gonna hear this a lot tonight. But can
I just say, like some of these Asian fighters and
road UFC, it all looks like they trained out of
the same gym, all fight the same. All my notes

(02:21):
on these guys are like decent striking, decent wrestling, decent grappling,
not killers. Can kind of all do the same thing.
That's gonna be the theme of the night here. So
I when I say that, I don't care who wins,
give me the over. So I'm gonna go with this

(02:43):
next fight Long Jiao and Kwang Lee. Yeah, give me
the over on this one. Do you have any opinions
on this one that.

Speaker 2 (02:51):
There's gonna be wrestling. There's gonna be wrestling, and we're
gonna kill some time two very evenly matched, not great fighters.
So yes, give me the over, give me the over
two and a half. This has decision written all over it.
I don't want a part of the side I've split.

(03:11):
I'm not even like running to the window to bet
the decision. But that's the bet in the fight, Like,
that's the bet is take this fight to go the
distance or the over two and a half. I have
nothing to say breakdown whies on either guy, because like
you said, they all fight the same. They just all
fight the same.

Speaker 1 (03:30):
It's like their their powers kind of cancel each other
off because they're all kind of doing the same thing.
Like I said, like there's no differentiation from any of
these fighters. Yeah, and so it's really tough. So I'm
just taking the overs. I just don't think there's a
big advantage for any of these guys. So all right,

(03:52):
our boy Kavanaugh and jose Ahoa, the floor is yours brother.
You and I loved. I have been a little bit
worried about him, and you have been like, do not worry.
This is Kavanaugh. So let's talk the sweet nuppins of Kavanaugh.

Speaker 2 (04:11):
Here. The man is he has everything. He has everything
that we want, he has everything that we need. He's
like a Walmart man. Whatever you need is in there.
He's got it. He's got it. He can wrestle, His
speed is something to behold. The experience I know seven
and zero, but I believe two time Glory champion, I

(04:33):
mean just crazy experience already in combat sports. His counter
striking is absolutely pinpoint, accurate and fantastic. There's a charisma
about this kid. He is our Carlos Protest of this season.
He just flat out is there is something about him.
And we've been pretty good at sniffing this out. When
there's just something about a fighter where you're like, you
know what, that's the guy I want my money on.

(04:56):
That's the guy that UFC is going to be pushing.
That guy is going to be an main event against
Neil Magny, like he fits the mold and this is
a spot to really get you know, people were wondering
why he was on this court. He's fought in Asia. Yeah,
there's a market for him over here. I mean, what
more else do you need besides the UFC marketing machine

(05:19):
pushing him out here. I know jose Ah Choa is
seven and zero. I don't think he's gonna throw anything
at Kavanaugh that he hasn't seen. I think he's gonna
come forward. He's in a swing wild, try to make
a statement, and that counter striking is going to be
there all night long, for as long as it lasts.
For Kavanaugh, I think he pieces him up and gets
Ochoa even out of here. I would not be shocked
to see him get him out. His striking is just

(05:40):
too clean, too clean.

Speaker 1 (05:43):
Yeah, I like what I've seen from Achoa. I liked
what I saw in his last fight against Pantosa. Not
that Pantosa, but then Bison combat and no contests against
a two and three fighter two and three fighters, So yeah,
I'm with you. Carlos Protez was our BMF Award winner

(06:04):
at the end of last season and it worked out well,
and I think we gotta recognize that we're not too
bad at figuring out who's gonna be great. I think
Kavanaugh is gonna be great. So yeah, Kavanaugh is absolutely
the pick on this one. Uh, Carlos Hernandez against I'm

(06:24):
not even gonna try. I'm sorry, No, don't bother.

Speaker 2 (06:27):
It's all good.

Speaker 1 (06:28):
Yeah, not gonna not gonna try. So, Uh, do you
have any thoughts on this fight?

Speaker 2 (06:33):
Yeah, Carlos Sonandez is one of the most popular Twitter
bets of the week. So I'm out, just out. I'm
just out. Everybody's talking up Carlos Snandez, Carlo Shenandez. Oh,
Carlos Sans should win. Bump up Bay. Do you not
remember watching these guys fights. He's got pillow hands, first
of all, absolutely he does, and utter pillow hands. I

(06:57):
mean probably what the would you say? Probably the least
about a punching power in the UFC. Who else is
it's bad?

Speaker 1 (07:07):
This guy's only beat Bondar.

Speaker 2 (07:09):
Yeah, his chin is bad too. Let's not forget.

Speaker 1 (07:14):
Well he got his he got your split decision on
which is never a great sign.

Speaker 2 (07:21):
I just I can't buy into him. So it's a
it's nigh for me. Here. I wonder again, why did
they fly Carlos Hernandez across the world for this fight?
This is a weird one, isn't it strange? Yeah?

Speaker 1 (07:38):
This two men. Den Baroll was supposed to fight Andre Lima,
so he's fighting that that fight fell out.

Speaker 2 (07:47):
Here, there's a lot of outside motivation in this market
for the UFC. Just keep that in mind, folks, that
there's a lot of outside motivation.

Speaker 1 (07:55):
Correct. So here's my here's my case for Carlos loses
to Sarah Tira and Nasi Mento. These are submission wrestling
like grappling experts. His opponent is not. Uh So, I'll

(08:15):
just say it again, I don't care who wins. Give
me this fight to go a long ways. I just
don't see a finish. Who's finishing who in this one?
This is how I'm looking at some of these like
really really strange fights, Like like this guy sorry, uh like,
but it's Road to UFC's got a real naked choke

(08:38):
against Who's this guy? Have you ever heard of him?
I haven't decision.

Speaker 2 (08:43):
Road to UFC? What do you expect?

Speaker 1 (08:45):
Yeah, these guys are fighting people with similar skill sets,
So I I don't. I I don't. I don't care
who wins take it to go to the distance. Jao
Kan Feng and Ming She this.

Speaker 2 (08:59):
One you made up for it knowing those names.

Speaker 1 (09:02):
Well, yeah that was good. Well because we did a
deep dive and we love Fang on this one. So
I will let you talk about about Fang on this one.
We have a five to seven versus five to fighter here. Yeah,
I'm all in.

Speaker 2 (09:17):
Yeah, I don't see any firepower coming from Mingshi that
is going to do anything to Fang. I just don't.
It's too damn limited. It's just too damn limited. And
we'll get to another fighter later on in the card
where there comes a point we talk about it. But
who is our guy that just got submitted the decisionator?

(09:43):
It'll come to me. Uh, there's there's a bunch of fighters.
They have short, stompy stocky arms and they just are limited.
At a certain point. You can't go up against Cody Stamen. Uh,
you can't go up.

Speaker 1 (09:56):
Against I was all right, I was gonna go moon Yos,
I was gonna go.

Speaker 2 (10:00):
There's a second week, Right. These guys at some point
just cannot overcome these physical limitations. I don't care how
good you are. This is a massive height difference, and
Fang is long. She is mean. I think she is
going to piece this girl up on the feet, and look,

(10:21):
she's no slouch in the wrestling either. I think she's
going to have a real hard time getting on top
of Fang. I would think that Fang is going to
be the one that's going to end up on top
of these situations. Agreed, And I think she's gonna get
some great finishing upside in this spot. I'm not going
to mess around with that. I just like Fang as
a party piece on the money line. She could win

(10:41):
a decision, but it would not shock me to see
her get a finish. Those long arms and those grappling
situations with a short stock your fighter. So much is
going to be available for her that if these guys
girls were both five five wouldn't be there.

Speaker 1 (10:55):
So Fang is sometimes you gotta be careful with really
long like bean pole like for I'm sorry, that's a
terrible term. I guess no, But Fang has strength. That's
like like she's not throwing weak kicks or weak jabs.
She's one of these fighters that like a horrible, horrible analogy,

(11:20):
but like Sean O'Malley, no skin like like skinny, but
when his kicks are coming, you gotta be worried. When
those jabs are coming, you got to be worried. And
Fang just has the cute she has a five inch
and she may be stronger.

Speaker 2 (11:39):
I think she is.

Speaker 1 (11:40):
Yeah, So I think this is one of those like
I don't want to say cake walk, but for Ming,
she to try and get inside a Fang is going
to be a tall, tall ass. That is a that's
a brutal, brutal way to try and like win a
fight to go in against somebody that's five inches taller.

Speaker 2 (12:00):
So well ages on Fang's side. She's the one pushing here.
I think this everybody's worried about the big names. I
think this is the setup fight of setup fights, except
for maybe one more on this card. I think this
one is a total setup fight.

Speaker 1 (12:17):
Fang may be the real deal, like the like of
all the people kind of fighting here, Like she's the
one that has kind of the outlier like physical attributes
that may make us splash in the UFC. So we're
gonna go over a couple of a couple of the
road us will you. Uh, you're a shoa. Don't know, Joy,

(12:38):
I don't care when give me this fight to go
over because I did film work on these guys and
they fight they look the same. I do you have
any hot takes on this one?

Speaker 2 (12:51):
No, I don't. This is a fight I just totally passed.
I did do some research on it, and I got nowhere.
I got nowhere. It was a waste of forty five minutes.
I could have been prot so many other things.

Speaker 1 (13:07):
It's tough. It's really really tough. Like listen, like we
really want to give you guys some hot takes and
some like really inside info. And I really think that
the road to the UFC, Like at the stage they're
searching for people to fill these roles in Jim when
they when I say that, they look like they fight
the same, like you know fighters when they come out

(13:30):
of gym's right, Like you could see real styles coming
out of gyms, and these guys they just look like
they all came out of the same gym.

Speaker 2 (13:39):
Yeah. Yeah, there's there's nothing that they do crazy. I mean,
you're gonna have a big size advantage for Kirie not
really a fan of his level of competition and not
a fan of choice competition.

Speaker 1 (13:50):
So, and it's not their fault on it's yeah, it's nothing.

Speaker 2 (13:55):
Yeah, it's it's the handw're dealt right now. Yeah, I'm
not willing to lay my money or your guy's money
on a pick that I'm not confident in, and it's
certainly not either of these guys.

Speaker 1 (14:05):
Yeah, it's just it's messy. Like I mean, this guy Joy,
he made it here because he won two split decisions.
Is that gonna Is that gonna go well moving forward?

Speaker 2 (14:15):
I bet it's gonna vote very well for his career
long term. Yeah, so all two fights of it overs.

Speaker 1 (14:22):
Yeah, So and here we go with Sue Young you
and I'm I'm gonna try here again, Jim. I don't
care who wins. This fight is going over same thing,
exact same thing.

Speaker 2 (14:37):
You could just put air quotes over the past five minutes.
So what we said and just there you go. Okay,
you gotta pass on some of these. It starts at three. Yeah, yeah,
you don't want to have twelve plays on this card.
Pick your spots.

Speaker 1 (14:53):
Fifteen, hopefully for fifteen, wake up.

Speaker 2 (14:57):
And count your money.

Speaker 1 (14:59):
Yeah yeah, okay, all right, well all right, so before
we get to Ozzie Diaz at a meaning thing. Plays
that we have up. We have a soccer two pack
going into the weekend college football best bet five percent.
This goes off on Friday evening. So if you're watching
this now, grab that play. UFC four percent play that
is up that goes off middle of the night. Is

(15:23):
that a Friday night or Saturday morning play? You have
to know that this card.

Speaker 2 (15:29):
Starts before the college football day of games. That's what it.

Speaker 1 (15:35):
Yeah, it's just a weird one. I'll just be one
honest with you guys. Friday is going to be bonkers.
We have darts plays on Friday Day. We have a
five percent college football play Friday evening. We have a
UFC play that starts at three am. Uh did you
know Formula one because they decide to be complete assholes

(15:56):
about it and want to run it at one am
in Las Vegas time. So when we have plays come out,
they're gonna be at weird hours and there is nothing
we can do about it. We will let you know
when Formula one plays are coming out. But for all
you guys watching, please get ready just understand that starting
Thursday evening Friday, it's going to be a whirlwind, and

(16:20):
we got a lot of units up, so I would
encourage everyone to get a three day pass. That's the
best way to do it when you're watching this. Let's
get a three day pass. You get your college football
five percent and UFC four percent. Best bet that is up.
So all right, Jim, let's get back into now. We
got some fights with some fighters.

Speaker 2 (16:38):
Have we got something to talk?

Speaker 1 (16:39):
I actually know about Ozzi Diaz and me Zang. Jim,
the floor is yours, as I know your thoughts on.

Speaker 2 (16:49):
I've said the words Ozzi Diaz more times than I
ever thought I ever would this week trying to talk
about this fight. Uh, let's select Ozzi Diaz. Shall we
Let's go to Ozzi Diaz first, first red flag. We
have a non contender series winner getting a shot on
an international UFC card.

Speaker 1 (17:09):
Can I just stop you right there. I will just guarantee.
I don't do locks. I don't do guarantees. I will
guarantee you Ozzi Diaz does not look like this picture
one of the steps into the octagon.

Speaker 2 (17:22):
I'll give anybody any odds.

Speaker 1 (17:25):
Minus ten thousand to one that doesn't look like this guy.

Speaker 2 (17:30):
There is no chance, no chance, all right, No Ozzie's
up away class as well as this light heavyweight. Uh,
it's not gonna go well for Ozzy. It's just not Uh.
He was getting the snot kicked out of him these
two wins. After the Joe Piper knockout him, Yeah, Piper

(17:52):
murdered him. He was brought in as a sacrificial lamb.
Then he's going to be a sacrificial lamb now. But
these two fights that he had an l he was
getting a snop beat out of him, and lucky for him,
Bevon Lewis, who I'm familiar with. Bevon Lewis, is not
a good fighter. Gases out trying to finish.

Speaker 1 (18:10):
Is the one horrible.

Speaker 2 (18:13):
Chuck Campbell, another bad fighter, couldn't get him out of there,
gets finished. So look, these guys are horrible again. Why
are they flying Ozzi Diaz to China to fight perhaps
a legit Chinese prospect, not one of these road to
UFC flunkouts. They are going to push this kid. He

(18:37):
is a knockout artist. He is exciting, he's big for
the weight class. I think he brings the heat and
he's gonna get Ozzie out of there. What I love
love more than anything is that this kid has faced adversity.
He's had the ups, he's had the downs. He's only
twenty six years old. He's experienced everything that Ozzi Diez

(18:58):
is gonna throw at him in this fight. So apart
from a ridiculous out of left field upset, I love
this pic. Love this pic. I think as he gets
knocked out inside of two rounds, I think, I think
this is the best parlay piece on the entire card.
Love it, Love it, love it.

Speaker 1 (19:14):
Can I poke some holes in me me yang zang
and then have some holes in my poke some holes?
All right? So rear naked choke, uh punch, punch decision,
left the punch. He's been finished a few times seventeen

(19:35):
and six. It's not a great record fighting level of
competition that I think he's fought, and I think a
lot of people may look at that. Here's my argument
to that. The man is twenty six years old now,
and when you go back and look at these losses,
this was twenty nineteen, this guy was in his early twenties.

(19:57):
This guy was kind of a baby, and seventeen.

Speaker 2 (20:01):
Two nine.

Speaker 1 (20:05):
He's a teenager. I like watching these guys develop and
get better as as their career goes on. So, uh,
these losses, I actually think maybe good things for him.
You and I. You and I talk about this a lot,
like it's okay if you lose a fight, if you
learn from it, Like if you fight like an idiot

(20:26):
and you don't learn anything from it, then we're out. Listen.
He uh he flatlined Ribero just like absolutely flatlined him.
And it's coming off a road to UFC where he
did the same thing, flat lined him. So I think
he's entering his physical prime. I'm not going to hold
those losses against him. In fact, I may make the
case they might be good for him. So I'm with

(20:50):
you that Ozzie Diaz sucks in zang. Yeah, this is
probably a showcase fight for him. We've seen these guys
getting better and better and better, so.

Speaker 2 (21:00):
I just want to see what his odds are as
of now, because we are recording this late in the
week minus three forty on the money line, it's God,
it's it's kind of but yeah, I think it's I
think still think it's worth it.

Speaker 1 (21:15):
Yeah, we just like Ozzi Dias, he holds his hands down.
He's ripe to be like picked off, like his path
of victory is to hope that Zang just like gets
tired and then he finishes him in like round two
or three. But I'm not sure that Zang is down
for that. So all right, Volcan Old Zamir and Carlos
Olberg we talk at nauseum about fighters that we have

(21:40):
good reads on, and Carlos Olberg is one of my guys.

Speaker 2 (21:46):
You're taking the lead on this one. Your floorish yours, sir.

Speaker 1 (21:49):
Okay, I will be happy to do that. I love
Carlos Olberg. The man is he was a model and
then now a fighter, and he could be both. So
we get the handsome factor and we get the amazing
striking factor, which we've never really seen before. I'll I'll

(22:13):
go through his fights here real quick. So completely gases
himself against Kennedy through like one hundred and twenty strikes
in the first round and realized that was a bad idea.
This Fabio sharonp fight, to this day is one of
the funniest fights I've ever watched because it was you
and I like Fury well because Carlos Olberg's he had

(22:38):
one job, which was don't get tired. They were like,
I don't care if you lose, I just don't get tired.
So he was like, so what I loved is he's
just got better and better and better. And Jim, you
know as well as I do. When you're training with

(22:58):
the best, you just greatness gets in your head. This
guy's training with Izzy, he's training with When he comes
out to the Arctic and over to the crowd, it's
a who's who of us.

Speaker 2 (23:13):
It's all of them.

Speaker 1 (23:14):
It's crazy. They're all there for him. So he takes
care of a table after the Faby hunch, right all right, now,
now I'm gonna strike. Bang knocks him out. Nega Morono. Yeah,
tough guy, Bang, Uh Poteria, he should knock him out.
Guess what he does, Bang. I like the Stalin Jung

(23:35):
fight because he goes the distance, except that it gets
like he knocks he listened. He does a lot of
damage on this guy. Uh knocks him down late and
gets a submission. There's nothing you can take away from
this Lonzo Metafield fight. Metafield comes flying across the ring,
Albert just pounds him. So I respect Osdmir I really do.

(23:59):
I'm just I'm not sure his game is ready for Olberg.
He knocks out Johnny Walker, who looked like a shell
of a fighter. Goose Golf, I call that like one
of my better calls, Like since you and I have
been doing the shows, loses the Krylof goes the decision,
it's Paul Craig loses, Dank Liev loses, Yerie. I feel

(24:22):
like I feel like osdmir is what he is, where
he's got good strikes? Are they like leveling? No? Is
this grappling amazing? No? Is this wrestling amazing? No? Does
he have anything that's going to completely overwhelm Olberg? No?
So when I'm looking at like top end, who's got

(24:45):
the highest upside, it's Carlos Olberg. I don't want to
overthink this. I've been betting on Carlos Olberg like NonStop.
I'm going back to it again. I think it's Carlos Olberg,
and I think it's my knockout if this gets out
of the first round. I think is tired because I
think he tries to wrestle and you don't think Oldberg's
ready for this. He's got like the best training partners.

(25:09):
I think they have him ready. And I think Osdemeir
is a little bit of a gatekeeper, and I think
Oldberg is ready for a title run. So I have Olberg,
I have Olberg by knockout, and uh, this is one
of those guys I've been betting on for a long time,
So I'm gonna keep with it. What do you think?

Speaker 2 (25:25):
Lots of love for Vulcan? Lots of love. Still a
steep underdog. Still not enough respectable money's been on it
to make him the favorite. But I keep hearing about
how everybody wants to fake Carlos Olberg. He's still sitting
at minus two thirty. Something doesn't smell right, does it.
This is a fake dog in my opinion. This is

(25:47):
a fake dog where people convince themselves that it's a
value pick.

Speaker 1 (25:52):
We love fading value picks.

Speaker 2 (25:54):
You know, value this, this value on Vulcan when he's
on his back looking up at the sky. Let me
know how your value feels. Look everybody's in poking holes
in Carlos Olberg's record. Can you go back to Volcanolzimir
for a minute.

Speaker 1 (26:08):
Let me just point this out since.

Speaker 2 (26:10):
Nobody wants to talk about this, Let's look at his wings.
The ghost of Johnny Walker boganon Guskov. Who's gonna get his,
by the way, gonna get his.

Speaker 1 (26:20):
That was his debut, we called that was one of
He's hard.

Speaker 2 (26:25):
He's an atrocious fighter. Paul Craig, who he now sucks Okay,
got obstruck by an inactive bo Nickel and he's been
working on a striking forever sucks. Okay. E Leir Litifi
preach a Leir Latifi, Alexander Rackage good Win, split decision.
One judge sees it a different way. That's another loss. Okay,

(26:49):
keep scrolling down. Oh boy, Jimmy manuairking off a split
to osp meaning again. One judge sees one round the
other way, and that's a loss. This guy has beaten nobody.
He's slow, his chin is bad. He does not have

(27:10):
one punch knockout power. He is gonna be so slow
on the recoil. If carlos ober It can stay calm
and stay safe in the first round, he is gonna
land a countershot that is gonna put Ozdemir down and
put him down. This is a changing of the guard.
Osimir's time is over. His nicknames, no time. I don't
think he's got any time left. I'm done with the
fraud of Vocan Osdemir. I'm done. I'm done people saying

(27:34):
he's value picked this week. Really, just I know I
came in hot.

Speaker 1 (27:40):
I love this.

Speaker 2 (27:40):
Sometimes you gotta, guys, sometimes you gotta. I just think
it's it's dumb money. I think it's dumb money. I
could look like a fool, but that's okay. Wouldn't be
the first time.

Speaker 1 (27:50):
Wow, I love it. I love it. I love it.
You're giving me more faith in my boy Olber. I
was on him from the very beginning, so I got
a right with him, and yeah, I love it all right,
Kong Wang. Gabriela fre Nantez, coming to you first, interested
in your thoughts on this one.

Speaker 2 (28:10):
Uh, Gabriella fran Fernandez is not good now. I don't
think she has anything dangerous in her game. She's really
a big physical girl, but she's actually smaller in this fight.
So that fight against Carly Judas, that was a really
really close fight. I personally had that score for Carle.
I thought she did enough with the volume. I thought

(28:31):
that maybe the look was a bad look for Carly,
the way she was reacting the punches, but thus she
had it on the volume. Kind of thought. Really read
that fight to where I thought alive bet against what
Judas late was gonna be good money didn't pan out
that way. Not holding it against her, but I just
look Theresa Blada. I mean, losing the Jazz is a

(28:55):
good like whatever, that's fine, but I just don't think
she's a good fight. And again, what does the UFC want.
They want Kong Wang to get another knockout. They want
a fast rusher to the title because they have nobody
else to fight in this division. Who anybody cares about
just on and Macy Barber's injured, she was supposed to

(29:17):
get in the title shot. Grosso's leg is broken, she's
out for a while. They have nobody left in this
division that's exciting, so they're going to fast track Kong Wang,
thinking that the Kongwan by knockout might be the parlay. Well,
we didn't get there yet, but that's gonna be the
very fancy pick. I think kong wins this by decision.
I think she puts a three round butt kicking on

(29:39):
Gabriella and just cruises her way to a dominant decision win. Here.

Speaker 1 (29:46):
I'm not that sold on Kong Wang, especially at this price.
I mean, this thing is like minus one thousand.

Speaker 2 (29:51):
At this point.

Speaker 1 (29:52):
Look, we're recording this on Thursday evening. Ridiculous. Six fights,
six fights, and you're gonna be a minus a thousand
favorite because you beat Naan Wu and Paula Luna, you
know all the all the you know, obvious title contenders
for UFC. Right, come on like dragging UFC headkick and

(30:16):
huia FC. I just she comes from a kickboxing background.
I get that she's got really good uh background, I
don't know. I this has bed shitter written all over it.
It really does. Well, we'll get the barley buster. This
is gonna be mine. Uh. Fernandez is tough, she got

(30:38):
big muscles, she can wrestle. This has got disaster written
all over it. Who like, seriously, who has Kong Wang
fought that makes you? Well? This is?

Speaker 2 (30:49):
This is what I was saying with the finish is
she finishes Victoria Leonardo. I nailed that fight with Victoria Leonardo.
How Victoria when she faces firepower, she's done, She's done now,
she just gotta win. I believe in lf A. Good
for her. Okay fights against an lf A, well we we.

Speaker 3 (31:12):
We laughed because because poor Victorian Leonardo, look fear Melissa
got it was It was like, can we just hit
you in the head with a shovel?

Speaker 1 (31:26):
Would that be a fair fight? Uh?

Speaker 2 (31:29):
But this is my point with Kong. I think everybody's
going to gravitate towards a knockout. And you're right, this
smells like a greasy split decision, doesn't it.

Speaker 1 (31:38):
It absolutely greasy. I think this one goes the distance.
I think Fernandez is a gamer, so like, yeah, losing
to Jasmine and Blada like grapplers wrestlers. But you know,
Carl Judas, that was a Carly Judas is a high
volume striker, and she hung with her like she got

(31:59):
tired towards the end. That I just I don't think
this is a I don't think this is a wash.
I certainly don't think ninus one thousand will make a
parlay because you gotta you gotta put it with like
a couple other things.

Speaker 2 (32:09):
So yeah, that's that's rough. You got to pick a method.
So yeah, we will do anything with the money.

Speaker 1 (32:14):
Line, uh, canon song most of them, Sally cough. I
have a very strong opinion about this fight. What do
you think?

Speaker 2 (32:19):
Oh go, if you have a strong opinion, go go go.
This could be good. It's it's it's a guy that
we were furious with and Grandpa, so.

Speaker 1 (32:27):
This, Yeah, I always want to fade the old fighter.
So we have a Muslim Sally Cough who's forty years old,
so we want to fade the old fighter. Canon's song
is thirty four. Here's the problem. Canon's song at thirty
four is way older than Salikoff at forty knon song

(32:48):
is done.

Speaker 2 (32:48):
He's horrible, he's done.

Speaker 1 (32:51):
Ski we bet against him, or I'm sorry, we bet
on him against Ricky Glenn because Ricky Glynn is a
full time plumber and he barely beat him and he
was gassed in the second round. He was gassed in
the third round. This guy got lit up by Kevin
just said, but badoya okay, Uh gets knocked out by Gary,

(33:13):
gets knocked out by Max Griffin. And I don't care
if Sallykoff is on the special vitamins because there's no
way you can tell me he was on the same
vitamin like regime when he was fought Randy Brown. Then
when he fought Santia, you think there was something going

(33:35):
on there. So yeah, if I want to bet on
a guy, I want the guy on the special vitamins.
Salad Colov's forty, he's the younger fighter. He just is.
Kanan Song is so gassed after the first round, and
sally Koff is that annoying. I'm gonna wrestle, grapple, I'm
gonna make your life a living hell. And I think

(33:56):
this is my would have, could have should have that
Kanan song. It's in front of his home, cra No
Salakoff at forty when he shows up and he just
wrestles and grapples this guy to death. That canon song
is gonna be exhausted in the second round and live
lines are gonna be Salahkov minus four thousand. That's what thay.

Speaker 2 (34:15):
You nailed it, dude, you nailed it. I totally expected
you to be the other way. Oh, just because the
forty year old thing. And then you're right when you
go back and you look not for nothing. Songs had
more fights as well. So he's five years younger and
had more fights. I mean, look, Salad, who's more skilled?
Let me ask you this, If you put skill for skill,

(34:38):
who has more skills?

Speaker 1 (34:40):
It's Saladkov like by a landslide, justice and grappling. Yes,
it's not even close.

Speaker 2 (34:47):
Demand Sambo striking his heads and Tails above Canon song.
I love when people are like, so song can crack.
Oh Kenny what on his fight? Because it'll be round
three and he'll have about four punches that he's thrown,
so he better crack on the first four. I do.
I agree with you, man. I think it's Sally Koff.
The song is gonna gasp uh. Sally Koff is going

(35:09):
to have the bigger moments as well. Those spin kicks.
We say this all the time, spin kicks and head
kicks that don't land, doesn't matter. They score in the
eyes of the judges that's trying to end the fight.
So after seeing Sally Koff against Ponzinibo, yeah, I'm in
I like Sally Koff as well. I think this is

(35:31):
what's up.

Speaker 1 (35:31):
John Jones landing that yeah, ridiculous thing.

Speaker 2 (35:36):
If you land him, they'll put you down. Man. It's strong.
But Sally Koff to ruin the the Asian market, I think.

Speaker 1 (35:45):
He wrecks it. I'm stunned. I was looking at it. I
was like, oh, Sally Coff minus four hundred, Like, really,
we're gonna give a Canon's song? All right, We're getting
to the Komaine here. John Young and Tabitha the Ricci
yan is the big favorite.

Speaker 2 (36:04):
M M.

Speaker 1 (36:05):
I'm gonna go to you first. This is a really
tough one for me. What's your thoughts?

Speaker 2 (36:13):
It's not that hard for me, not that hard. I
kind of have my made up with this, my made
up with this fight from day one when it was announced.
Here I like jan okay reason I like Yan is
this again? Spoke about it earlier in the cart. There
comes a point where the physical disadvantage is too much

(36:37):
to overcome. It's just too damn much. She does not
have the physical imposing character to take her over to
the top to be a top five fighter in this
weight class and challenge for the title. You know, if

(36:57):
you put Ricci in there with Waylee, I mean Waylee
is going to suplex her around the cage for however
long she wants. Yan is coming off fighting the best
in this division for a couple of years now. People
wonder about the motivation. It's not like she's some dinosaur. Yeah,
she's been around the block, But is there anything that

(37:19):
Ricci is gonna throw at her that she hasn't seen before.
I don't think there's a damn thing that Richie can
do differently than everybody that Yan has fought. She gonna
wrestle better than Wayley. No, she gonna hit harder than
Androge No. I mean you can go through doubt through
the entire list. If you match up any of those
matchups with Ricci, Ricchie gets smoked. Okay, So I like

(37:45):
Yan in this spot. I think this fight can look
more like minus three hundred.

Speaker 1 (37:50):
At the end.

Speaker 2 (37:50):
If Richie can't get the takedown, this is gonna be
a bad, bad night for her. And I'll go out
on a limb. If she can't get the takedowns, there's
a damn good shot that Yon finishes her late round two,
round three. I think Richie's face is gonna get busted up.
Jilian Robertson made her bleed on the feet. I mean,
let's get real here, what's gonna happen if she can't

(38:11):
get the takedowns against Yan?

Speaker 1 (38:14):
All Right, here's my worry. Uh Jan got obliterated in April,
like finally saying like probably should have like choked her
out like.

Speaker 2 (38:29):
It was that in a round one. I think she was.

Speaker 1 (38:31):
It was the round one. So who is she won?
Who she beat? Justicon Grodge laanded a beautiful one shot.
That thing was crisp. Before that, Mackenzie durn was that awesome.

Speaker 2 (38:46):
I remember that fight and what I was impressed with.
She had good takedown defense and when she did get
taken down, she just popped right back up. She felled
up the single leg very well.

Speaker 1 (38:59):
All right. So she loses to Marina Rodriguez, loses to
Carlos Sparzas. So now we're going back, you know, twenty twenty.
I agree with you that Yan has the all the
physical aspects. What got taken out of her in that
last fight was that something that like changed her, changed

(39:22):
her career. She's thirty five, and you got Tabitha Ricci, who,
uh twenty nine, So I get the younger fighter and
Tabitha Ricci, she's like a little annoying nat like, just
like I will land a bunch of volume, will lay
it a bunch of strikes, and I will steal around

(39:43):
from you. I do not want to lay the price
on Yon on this one because I think Ricci. I
think Ricci is on the way up, and her game
is so weird. It's so strange that I wonder if
Jan is gonna be able to deal with it. Power
strikes Yon all day volume, I think it's Ricci. And

(40:04):
in a three round fight, I think Ricci's live five round,
it's Yon all day. It's like not even like like
remotely close. Three round, I think it's Ricci. So if
you're looking at underdogs, I think there's worse underdogs that
you could look at. So I'm not betting it, but
I just I'm terrified if you take Yon in these

(40:29):
as a I'm terrified if you take Yon as a
parlay piece and she just absorbed too much damage in
the last fight, and there's Ricci like throwing a million
shots in the last minute, and all of a sudden
it's a split decision. So I take the over. I
don't think I don't think this.

Speaker 2 (40:48):
Fight's bet Yeah. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (40:51):
The only path of victory for any of these like
fighters is Yon like to Ko Ritchie, and I don't
think that's gonna happen. So all right, Petrion and Davison, figure,
ro Floris yours? What do you think.

Speaker 2 (41:07):
Divison's due? He's due? We very rarely have seen these
fighters switch weight classes and make it all the way
to the top. It's a really, really hard thing to do.
Number One, you're switching weight classes. You're also doing this
usually in your thirties, your mid to late thirties. You're
not switching weight classes when you're twenty six, twenty seven.
At that point, you're still able to make your natural

(41:29):
weight and challenge for the title. I think this is enough.
It's kind of enough. He's so due for a loss.
Here he gets to fight the ghost of Cody Mark
Garbrandt takes him down easy, piece of cake.

Speaker 1 (41:45):
Oh, yes, let's start with Rob Font because that was
his first fight. This way to be. Let's start with
Rob Font.

Speaker 2 (41:52):
Yeah. I mean it's Rob Font, right, not really a
big giant, dangerous, murderous power punch or anything. And we
saw Figgie still have to manage his cardio in round three. Uh.
Then he gets the fight code, he gets the big submission. Oh,
it's his figure Rato's weight class. Boy, how many people
said he was gonna kill Marlin and finish him. Oh,

(42:15):
he's a finisher at this weight class. Decision. Cheeto gives
away the first round. Of course, it's a decision for him.
Now he's got a fight, a natural weight fighter at
this weight class who's been fighting the best of the
best his entire career. The first moment that you heard

(42:37):
Piotr Jan's name, he was fighting for titles, like nobody
knew who he was. Okay, the kick ko of Ryah
Favor was really his coming out party, and from there
on out it was titles.

Speaker 1 (42:54):
Do three fighter. Is there any other fighter that has
a career path with just a couple of things like
look at illegal knee.

Speaker 2 (43:05):
To to rallies could change his career.

Speaker 1 (43:08):
Yeah, but Sterling split, O'Malley split, you could argue both
of those. Morob just does what he does. But it's
amazing looking at this guy's career and you're going, really,
this guy, this guy's are having to fight figure right
out like moving up and he's younger. Career path, that's

(43:29):
what there's.

Speaker 2 (43:31):
Yeah, there's so many things that are in young He's
thirty one, he's younger, he's bigger, he's more naturally at
this class, he's more diverse, he's got more tools, more,
more and more and more more. So I'm my pick
is Ganymous. I think Figuredo is due for a loss.
Fig he's getting up there in age. I don't think
he challenges for a title. I just don't. I have

(43:53):
a hard time seeing him at thirty six year old
make it to the top of this division and challenge
for a world title. So give me the guy who's
been there, done that. Give me Yon Jim.

Speaker 1 (44:04):
This guy that's in the picture is at the figure
that he's going to show up.

Speaker 2 (44:11):
Oh not exactly, No, it'll be some things missing from
the picture.

Speaker 1 (44:19):
He had. He had two takedowns against Vera. They were
in the both in the first round. One was a
great takedown. The other one when Vera like tried to
do this jumping flying knean and it it got scored
a takedown five rounds. This is five rounds. Yeah, so
that's the biggest selling point for me. So I have
Yon probably Yon by decision.

Speaker 2 (44:41):
So the five rounds, I mean you take Yon by decision.
I don't hate a sprinkle on three and four. FIGI
could be done here in round three or four.

Speaker 1 (44:54):
It's thirty six, he's been through wars and wars and
cares takedown.

Speaker 2 (44:58):
He is in trouble even.

Speaker 1 (45:01):
I would actually make the case that getting a takedown
might be terrible for him because if he gets a
takedown and Yan just like out wrestles them and like
gases them a little bit like Fig. Fig like wants
to get the takedown so we can kind of save
himself a little bit. Yeah, if he doesn't, Yan is
just up and up and up and like, yeah, I'm

(45:24):
with you on Yon. All right, Uh, let's go to
the parlay buster. This is a play that everyone is
gonna put in their parlays and we think it might lose. So, Jim,
what do you think brutals hard?

Speaker 2 (45:41):
Well, since we skipped like three flights because they're all
parlay busters. Uh, let's see what is going to be
in everybody's parlays.

Speaker 1 (45:50):
Who's everyone gonna put in their parlays.

Speaker 2 (45:52):
I hate to say it, I a dolnady know who
you're gonna pick, So I'll keep with that. I I
think people are gonna try to get off of the
Kong Wang number and they're gonna take her by knockout
and they're gonna have to parlay it because it's minus Oh.

Speaker 1 (46:11):
So you think people are gonna take Kong Wing by knockout?

Speaker 2 (46:14):
Well, I was thinking it's either this or could it
possibly be Zang not getting the knockout of Asidas? But no,
I don't think Osidaz makes it three rounds. So I'm
gonna go with wang by k O T k O.
I think she wins a decision and a lot of
everybody's hail married by finished parlay. Just that's the last
leg too, right there, Yeah, finish it out with her

(46:38):
and she just blows it for everybody. It's a tough
card to pick a money line. I'm gonna be honest.
I like, I like a lot of the favorites.

Speaker 1 (46:46):
I'll go with Tabitha Ricci uh to blow everyone's parlay
like a greasy split decision. Yan doesn't look great in
the first round. Ricci like does enough to make it
like kind of interesting, like y'ad maybe drops Ricci, but
Ricci like throws somewhere in the neighborhood of two hundred

(47:08):
strikes in the first round. So I'll go for that
for the parley buster. All right? What it could have?
Should have the bet that we're all regretting. Why didn't
we make that bet ry way and lay our mortgage on?

Speaker 2 (47:21):
What do you think I think we're gonna agree here?
I think there's one and there's only one.

Speaker 1 (47:27):
It's gotta be.

Speaker 2 (47:27):
It's gotta be Sally Koff. It's just gotta be.

Speaker 1 (47:32):
You are on the same pages like.

Speaker 2 (47:35):
I can't think of a better one than him. I know,
I want to come up with like a separate one,
but god, Song is just so bad. It's so so bad,
and I think he's done. Man, this could be this
could be one of those nobody talks about retirements, like
could be done, done done.

Speaker 1 (47:55):
I'm with you. If Saladkov is on the special vitamins,
he's gonna roll through like this could be an ass whooping,
Like there could be a ten eight round where Saladkoff
gets Song on the ground and just doesn't let him up.
Song does not have a good wrestling grappling get up game.
Salakov does. Look at his profile picture like and and

(48:20):
look at song It's profile picture. He's like one of
my whole call. Yeah, so all right, uh, I think
that's gonna do it for us what it could have
should have.

Speaker 2 (48:32):
Let's protect your bank rolls this weekend. It's the middle
of the night. Card get some rest.

Speaker 1 (48:38):
Just play one play gets you some profit, Like just
do not throw a busy on this one. Yeah, absolutely so.
All plays can be found at wager Talk. Go ahead
and grab those good look under your places and we'll
see the later.
