Speaker 1 (00:01):
Welcome to Wadge. You talked today, the gold standard of
sports betting shows, where we talked to talk and walk
the walk. It is Football Friday. Let's go wall to
wall with NFL college football. We're gonna talk a little
world series. Yanni's gonna get things started with the Steam Report,
Teddy's gonna break down Cowboys Broncos, Ole, Miss Oklahoma, and
we're gonna do sell me. Marco is gonna bring us Giants, Eagles, Alabama,
(00:23):
South Carolina, and the sauce of the week. Dan and
I both advanced last week in Survivor. We're gonna go
over our Survivor picks. I went three and two in
the Pick five contest on bet Online. I'm still on
the front page of the leader board in that contest,
so I'll go over my picks for this week. It's
a loaded, loaded card. Let's make it a profitable one.
(00:44):
We're gonna do something fun today. All right, here's here's here.
I'm gonna ask all of our guests and I'm what
you guys let me know in the comments section. What's
the one bet you lost that you cannot prove was rigged?
But deep down inside you no, it was rigged. Let
me know in the chat, let me know in the comments.
Let's bring on Yanni, the Greek Yanni. I came up
(01:08):
with this yesterday because there is one bet that has
haunted me forever that I swear it was rigged and
I cannot prove it. And it was Amanda Nunyaz and
Juliana Pania. In the first fight, when Amanda Nunez is
beating Paanya Pillar to post, all of a sudden, Pania
randomly grabs a submission. Amanda Nunia's taps before the submission
(01:29):
is in. Nunia stands up and is smiling. Juliana Pania
doesn't even realize she won. And then they announced they're
both gonna be coaches on the Ultimate Fighter, and there's
a rematch. I can't prove it was rigged, Yanni, but
I know deep down inside it was rigged. There is
no way Juliana Payna beats Nunia's and then what happens
(01:50):
in the second fight, Nunyaz just beats her, you know,
within an inch of her life. That's my that's my
bet that I lost. How are you this Friday?
Speaker 2 (01:57):
Never better?
Speaker 3 (01:58):
Actually? No, no, I could be a better.
Speaker 4 (02:00):
I excited about this weekend, and that's going to flip
it around. But I'm a little pissed a meaningless field
goal by the Chargers last night put that game over
when it would have been another primetime easy winner. Been
on fire with those primetime games. So now eight and
three over the last eleven. But big weekend plan. I
got good college football and NFL for you guys this weekend.
Speaker 3 (02:21):
And I love that MMA card. But the truth is,
I can't.
Speaker 4 (02:25):
Really think of a single game fight just because I
bet so many markets, I bet for so long.
Speaker 3 (02:33):
You're talking thirty plus years of.
Speaker 4 (02:35):
Doing this every single day, and I was already like,
the best way I could put it is I already
expected that that's happening, Like from when I first entered sports.
Speaker 3 (02:47):
Betting, you knew that that was a possibility.
Speaker 4 (02:50):
As far as game fixing goes, that's just going to
be part of the hustle, Like it's part of the handicap.
You have to factor that in. We even talk about
it all the time when it's not officially fixed, but
we're like, oh, the judges will be swayed this way,
or the crowd's going to sway the refs this way.
So as handicappers were always should understand that that's one
(03:13):
of the factors of gambling, but that shouldn't really affect
your handicap as much as should affect your risk management,
because if you know, if you know that there are
games that aren't on the up and off, if you
know that there's possible props that aren't on the up
and up, no matter how big of a lock you have,
(03:36):
you've got to manage risk correctly because you always have
to have that in the back of your head. Even
if everything is right, the fix could be in. And
nothing is a better example than this. When I was
back here late nineties, early two thousands when the original
NBA fix was happening. Okay, I was at the start
(03:57):
US during that time. In fact, got questioned by Department
of Justice. That's another story altogether, but here's what was happening.
Wise guys, sharp betters that were plus ev guys were
getting buried, buried, very buried at the stardust.
Speaker 3 (04:13):
And here's why.
Speaker 4 (04:14):
Because they were seeing the line move two or three points,
sometimes more four or five points. They already liked that
side that shouldn't have been getting that many points. So
let's say they like the over and now the total's
even lower than it was for them earlier. So now
they're seeing even more value and as a true winning
(04:34):
better their bets are supposed to be bigger. The bigger
the edge, the bigger the bet. So while we were
slamming a game over because it was being fixed to
go over and the line was moving higher, these guys
were liking the under even more because all their handicapped,
all their numbers pointed to the under, and now we
(04:55):
were steaming the over, giving them even a better line,
so they were placed in even bigger bet. So this
is seasoned guys getting buried because they thought the market
was giving them so much extra value. What they didn't
factor is that it wasn't on the up and up.
And I think as even recreational betters, this should be
a caution that, no matter how deep down you feel
(05:19):
you have a lock, never go to the window and
bet as if you have a lock. Always have in
the back of your head that I could have everything
right and yet this guy could be on the take,
And as long as you have that in the back
of your head, you'll be okay. But the thing it's
not going to happen that when you involve human beings
(05:39):
and money in the same sentence that there's not going
to be corruption, Like what were you born yesterday?
Speaker 3 (05:45):
This has been happening forever. It's just now it's you know,
so much easier.
Speaker 4 (05:50):
Just wait till the college basketball and college football and
all those sports start comming alive.
Speaker 3 (05:57):
These are NFL, these are NBA.
Speaker 4 (05:59):
These are professional athletes making millions of dollars that are
on the take. Could you imagine guys that are never
going to play Pro Bowl what they'll be willing to do. Yeah,
just it's it's part of the game, bro, It's part
of the game.
Speaker 1 (06:11):
Well, you and I bet on soccer and a lot
of tennis. We've one hundred percent money. We were one
hundred had money on fixed matches.
Speaker 4 (06:20):
Bringing that up Larceny games by Brian Towhey. I was
actually interviewed. If you look at the you know, where
they have all the names and stuff, you'll see that
I have like a couple of pages that we talked about,
stuff that I knew from Philadelphia.
Speaker 3 (06:34):
But he he.
Speaker 4 (06:36):
Shares a handful of examples around the world where it's
been documented fixed tennis, like you said, fixed cricket, fixed soccer,
it happens, man, it happens.
Speaker 1 (06:48):
Well, let's talk steam report. What are you see it
in the books? It's it's it's got to be a
busy weekend. You a lot of stuff going on?
Speaker 4 (06:55):
Yeah, I got we got college football, College football tomorrow,
college football, NFL Sunday, NBA tonight, Major League Baseball World Series.
Speaker 3 (07:05):
This is UFC three twenty one. What a weekend to
be alive.
Speaker 1 (07:10):
Yeah, so let's go. Let's let's take a look at
college football. Anything jumping off the page for you, any
heavy action on anything?
Speaker 3 (07:17):
All right, tonight.
Speaker 4 (07:18):
Here's what we're looking at so far, and not very
sexy games. You know, most people are gonna bet because
it's it's on the board. But I think the baseball
will be getting the bulk of the action tonight, and
most will be tied into tomorrow's college.
Speaker 3 (07:31):
Football Charlotte, North Texas.
Speaker 4 (07:33):
I can tell you sharp money on Charlotte at plus
twenty seven plus twenty six and a half, but more
than enough North Texas public money to offset that risk.
Total two way action more over from the public.
Speaker 3 (07:48):
California Virginia Tech.
Speaker 4 (07:49):
You saw Virginia Tech Sea Side get steamed earlier in
the week, but you're getting California money now at six,
so that risk has kind of been neutral by the
public getting involved on that game. They're betting it over
one sided over Eight out of ten bets are on
the over. Boise State Nevada. Good two way action considering
(08:12):
it's a three touchdown game, always going to be a
little more on the favorite. But once again prime time,
it's the over that's getting the money. So California and
the Virginia and the Boise State game both games being
bet over, but nothing really sticking out as far as
you know, this is a huge side or anything like that.
(08:32):
For the books in college football today, it's it's all
tomorrow's action.
Speaker 1 (08:38):
What do you got in NFL? Anything you're you're liking
this week in NFL?
Speaker 4 (08:42):
Some of that, some of the stuff that got hit
in the NFL that I could share with you. The
Chargers got hit yesterday that came through for them at
minus two and a half. We move on to Saturday's action,
Cincinnati minus five and a half and six. That's why
you're looking at six and a half. Surprise they're not
going up to seven. I think they'll be able to
(09:03):
get sharp money on the Jets at seven. I guess
they're just waiting to see how much Cincinnati risk piles up,
because again, if they go to seven even, guys they
got down early on Cincinnati will have a nice middle,
so they could easily eliminate some risk there. Move down
to the Bear Chicago Bears. Two sixty five. They took
the key seven on the Bears and also went over
(09:24):
forty eight when it dipped down. They took the Eagles.
The Eagles at minus seven, another key number. That's why
you're looking at seven and a half there. They went
to seventy nine Dallas Denver over easily get.
Speaker 3 (09:38):
Out ahead of the public there.
Speaker 4 (09:39):
That's going to be one of the most one sided
bet totals towards the over. So they went over forty
nine there. It's now fifty one. Probably get the fifty two.
By Sunday two seventy three, Cleveland against New England at
seven and a half. They're picking off the seven and
a half's there. And finally two.
Speaker 3 (09:56):
Sixty four, Houston opened as underdogs in some spots.
Speaker 4 (10:00):
They're now as high as minus two to two and
a half. Sharps fading San Francisco with all those injuries,
so it's a little early for NFL, but as you
can see already, some sharp action.
Speaker 1 (10:13):
Any for a world series.
Speaker 4 (10:16):
No, this is what I haven't the books that I've
spoken to, and not like on screen or the strip books,
but locals that I speak to, they all say they
make money with Toronto meaning future market. Before the season started,
they had risk on the Dodgers. When the playoffs started,
(10:37):
the risk on the Dodgers accumulated. It tripled, quadrupled, and
that hasn't changed going into this world series. I'm surprised
the series price isn't higher, that they're not trying to
attract Toronto dog money. That's a little bit surprising because,
like I said, it's really one sided on the Dodgers,
and even now for the series, like they're laying the minus.
Speaker 3 (10:59):
Two four pretty comfortably two thirty five.
Speaker 4 (11:01):
I even see two fifty on some of my credit shops,
so it seems like old Dodger action. I can tell
you home team, don't overlook these home teams Game one.
They've won about six out of ten times. But again,
it's gonna be tough beating these Dodgers who are going
to repeat, especially coming off a sweet and smell tonight
big game one, you know, Big Game one.
Speaker 1 (11:25):
Let's finish up with UFC. I watched Wayan's face Offs.
I'll just say this. I liked Louis Sutherland as an
underdog against Walter Walker, and after seeing him, boy, there's
a guy that used to be on the juice and
it's clearly not on the juice. I have changed my
(11:47):
tune about that guy. I mean, there's some guys in
UFC where it is hilarious when it's obvious they stop
taking the juice, and Louis Sutherland is one of them.
Oh my lords, I have changed my tune on that one.
And anything jumping off. Are you still gonna bet gun?
Or are you gonna?
Speaker 2 (12:06):
I did?
Speaker 5 (12:07):
I did?
Speaker 4 (12:07):
I gave him the subscribers at plus three ten, I
said anything about three hundred. I gotta lock it in
now I did it. Don't you don't have to follow
me on that. Subscribers, you don't have to do it.
I went ahead and bet it. I did last night
confirm I hadn't released it, but I'm going to. I'm
hoping the line drops a little bit because I'm hearing
a lot of sharps on the dog, but I disagree.
(12:28):
They're like Votolf against Almeida. I just think, you know
what Almeida's passed. The victory is take Vocolf.
Speaker 3 (12:35):
Down and smash them, and I think he's gonna be
able to do that.
Speaker 4 (12:40):
I don't think Vocoff faced the type of grappler he's
gonna be facing in Almeida. The guy attempts thirty five
plus takedowns per five minutes.
Speaker 3 (12:48):
Like if he doesn't get you.
Speaker 4 (12:49):
On the first, second, fourth, fifth, sixteenth, eighteenth, he's gonna
get you down eventually.
Speaker 3 (12:53):
That's what he does.
Speaker 4 (12:54):
It's ken Vocoff land the big shot early, but Votolf's
not a power puncher.
Speaker 3 (12:59):
I get it at heavyweight, they all.
Speaker 4 (13:01):
Have power, but if you look at his knockout rate
and knockout ratio, it's really low for heavyweight. That's not
he doesn't have that one shot knockout power. Any of
his finishes have come like TKO. He systematically breaks guys down,
and I don't think he's going to get that chance
against Almeida. I think Almeida gets that takedown and it's
his world, and I don't think Volkoff ever gets up.
Speaker 1 (13:23):
My favorite is the over one and a half in
that one.
Speaker 3 (13:26):
That one you like it.
Speaker 1 (13:27):
Yeah, I love the over one and a half, love
the over one and a half. I have I have
a sneaky conspiracy theory that this might be the fight
where al Madea tries to show off as striking how
many times?
Speaker 4 (13:38):
And Jane the robo we're talking like we're on the
phone and ship and it's a show going on.
Speaker 3 (13:43):
But what do you think of the total on the
dern and Jandoroba.
Speaker 1 (13:47):
Oh over fight goes the distance, there's not going to
be a finish unless.
Speaker 3 (13:50):
You you just confirmed it for me.
Speaker 4 (13:53):
I like that a guy I respect a lot asked
me to get him down a bet, you know, not
in huge, but I respect his opinion, and you just
confirmed it for me.
Speaker 3 (14:02):
I like, I'm batting it.
Speaker 6 (14:03):
I'm batting the over.
Speaker 1 (14:05):
I liked Rocket, uh, but I've had him face offs. Yeah,
and now I like him even more after because I
was like that size is gonna be too big, and
then I saw him a face offs. He's a giant,
an absolute giant compared when compared to that. I have
a couple live bets for people. Wait to bet the
Nathaniel Wood and Jose Delgado. If Delgado doesn't get the
(14:27):
finish in the first round. I know you love Delgado.
Nathaniel Wood's a decision machine. You could get a great
number on Wood.
Speaker 4 (14:34):
Yeah finish Nick bet would like plus one thirty. So
there is some sharp money on the uh, the Woods side.
I bet the under yesterday. I gave it out. There's
a video if you go on h my Instagram or TikTok.
I gave out some UFC on that. The younger in
the clin re Beccy. I had to make up a
bet on the show because my Camille bet got canceled
(14:56):
and I loved Camille. Here's why I'm getting plus money
to go on at lightweight, where it's about a coin flip.
But there's a lot of recency biased because you have
Klent coming off three straight decisions and Rebecca off back
to back decisions. But he got bonuses in both those
fights because they were wars and this is now his
third fight and only twelve months. I don't think these
(15:16):
guys are going to decision at plus money. I took
a little shot at that. It's a good card, man,
I'm excited for Saturday.
Speaker 1 (15:23):
Oh, this is a really metable card. There's a lot
of really good yeah, good, good, betable spots on this one.
I'll also give out a morum and innui under two
and a half or just a morum by finished. A
mom's a monster, man.
Speaker 5 (15:37):
Yeah, she's she's.
Speaker 1 (15:39):
Got that yah yahi, she's got that dog in her man.
She's finished three straight. It's hard to finish two straight
women's fights. Yeah. Yeah. So all right, you got a
big weekend. We got Weekend Warrior that's available. But what
do you have up for everyone this week?
Speaker 4 (15:51):
Yes, sir, don't miss out this weekend. I got college
football for you. I got NFL for you.
Speaker 3 (15:55):
I got a five percent in college football.
Speaker 4 (15:57):
I hope I could confirm a five percent in the
NFL because I think we've hit like three straight, but
I've been very selective with those. My UFC two thirty
one card is up. Also, I have the baseball tonight.
Speaker 2 (16:08):
I have a series.
Speaker 4 (16:09):
Bet and a game one bet for you up at
two four percent place and a three pack in Tonight's
College football currently number one in college football in twenty
twenty five. When you keep it rolling, I've won eight
of the nine weeks. We're gonna make it nine out
of ten. I love this Saturday's card, but let's start
off tonight by sweeping the board.
Speaker 3 (16:30):
Guys, have a great weekend.
Speaker 4 (16:31):
I'll be back for Last Call Saturday and Sunday, and
then of course the steam Room on Sunday as well.
Good luck to you Andy in the UFC and elsewhere, brother,
and good luck to Teddy coming up from behind in
the rest.
Speaker 1 (16:43):
Thanks Johnnie. Great week of shows, good luck this weekend, brother,
appreciate it. Thanks all right, Colin, if you got my message,
Colin is agreed to do a three day pass with me. Colin,
just get the NFL props pack. We got a bunch
of props and there's gonna be more loaded tonight and tomorrow,
So just get that and let's catch. Let's make that.
Let's make let's make a losing battle winning bet. Bruce
(17:06):
had an interesting question on a team total Dan if
we could pull that up. He had a question about
a uh an over on the what team was it there?
It is the Beards. I'm assuming that's Bears, Bruce, I'll
(17:26):
look up the Beards.
Speaker 5 (17:28):
Yeah, I think he met, but we're already we cashed over.
Speaker 7 (17:30):
It was one and a half and Giohnny had its
sail over because he so Team total was a smash spot.
That's absolutely the Bears team total against that Ravens defense,
that's that's a different question, Andy.
Speaker 5 (17:44):
But the Beards has already catched Beards.
Speaker 1 (17:46):
All right. The Beard's over easy winner. I would stay
away from the Bears because the Ravens are getting healthy
on defense. I don't know how healthy, but they're they're
they're they're getting healthier. So I mentioned I have an
NFL props back up. Anybody can get that. We're six
and four last week and we didn't have We ended
up not getting to the window on any official blaze
(18:06):
from last night, and I'm glad we didn't because we
would have lost barely on a couple of them. So, uh,
Sunday Monday. All those props are available at wager talk
dot com. But we got to bring in Teddy covers.
We've got so much to talk about. Uh first, this
has kind of impropert. I gotta tell you, Teddy, I
think my Pacers may be a covering machine this year
(18:27):
where they lose a lot of games, but they cover.
I watched that Oklahoma City thunder team. They got heart, man,
that they are gonna go out there and play really hard,
except they just can't figure they're not gonna figure out
how to how to win games. I thought that was
a really fun game last night. So that's my take
on sure.
Speaker 6 (18:45):
That being said, let's let's be sure there's an eighty
two game season. Let's not overreact to the first one. Everyone.
Speaker 1 (18:52):
I know I I I'm proud of myself because I
did a video where I said the Pacers were gonna
lose but cover against the thunder. So I'm happy that
I got that one right. So all right, let's uh,
let's see. You want to start with NFL. You want
to start with college football? You got Cowboys Broncos. You
know Ole Miss Oklahoma? You wanna do Cowboys Broncos? First?
Speaker 6 (19:13):
You tell I got World Series prepped. I got a
story about the one game that I thought was fixed. Yes, prepped.
I'm ready wherever you want to go, my friend.
Speaker 1 (19:22):
All right, let's we got to do the fixed game
that's suppost to entertained. What's the one bet you lost
that you can't prove it, but you're like, I know
it was fixed. What is it?
Speaker 6 (19:31):
So? I don't think it was fixed in retrospect, but
at the time I was convinced, all right, it's and
I went back and looked up the game. It's September
of twenty twenty two. September twenty ninth of two thousand
and two. I'm sorry, so this is I moved to
Vegas in ninety eight, and in two thousand and two,
i'd made you know. By that point, my career was
(19:52):
just starting to take off, and I got an invite
into the start US Invitational content. We had to pick
seven games over the weekend and going into the last game.
If I win, I survive in advance. If I lose,
I lose my first try in the contest. And I
was really struggling, what's the last game to pick? And
I'm like, I'm taking the Giants minus three. At Arizona,
(20:13):
Giants are up seven nothing, doing everything they're supposed to do.
I think it was uh it was a tumor. Amani
Tumor caught a long touchdown to put the Giants up
fourteen to nothing, and there was a flag, so the
Giants were a public side. They took all the money
and Tuber catched a touchdown over here, and all of
(20:34):
a sudden, there's a flag on the other side of
the field over there and calls the touchdown back. It
was a hold on the other side of the play
that had nothing to do with anything. And I watched it.
I watched the region. I'm like, that's the most fraudulent
thing I've ever seen. And of course, from that moment,
Arizona took over. Giants started turning the ball over, Giants
started struggling the red zone, and Cardinals ended up wearing
(20:55):
them down in the heat and winning twenty one, winning
out right twenty one to seven. That flag. I was
so mad about it, and I was so convinced that
the fix was in and the Giants were you know,
there were the books were gonna lose too much money
on the Giants and they had to you know, the
call went in and I went, and I was and
it cost me the contest. And I was absolutely convinced
that that game was not on the up and up,
(21:17):
and uh that I don't. I no longer think that
was the case. But at the time, I was furious.
Speaker 1 (21:26):
It's all right, Uh, somebody somebody already came to my
defense about the Uh. But but the fight that that
I swear was fixed to this, I'll go to my
grave telling you, convincing you that that damn thing was fixed.
All right, let's go to and this.
Speaker 7 (21:39):
Is not that.
Speaker 6 (21:40):
This is just me as a better going. Oh my god,
there was a penalty against me. I don't believe it.
It's a fix is in and it cost me a contest,
you know, uh, you know, early in my career. So
this is not I don't actually really think the fix
was in, but you asked me to remember, and I'm like,
that's the one I remember. I'm like, oh my god,
you know.
Speaker 1 (21:58):
All right, well, let's talk Cowboys and Broncos. I was
joking with pres this is such a great like logos matchup,
Like Cowboys and Bronos playing each other just kind of
kind of fits the mascots here. How do you break
down this game?
Speaker 6 (22:12):
Sure, we're looking at the Odds Logic Live odd screen
right now for Dallas and Denver on Sunday. I'm seeing
the Broncos mostly minus three and a half through us
some three starting to pop up. The money has come
for Dallas this week total has been bet up as well,
fifty and a half slash fifty one as we speak,
(22:32):
and certainly when we talk about Dallas, you know that
offense is working. You know they've gotten what the last
four weeks forty thirty seven, twenty seven and forty four.
Everyone's looking good. You know, Dak Prescott has put up
some really strong numbers number two in the NFL, and
passing yards number two in the NFL. And touchdowns, you know,
eighteen hundred passing yard, sixteen touchdowns, only three picks. What
(22:56):
was impressive about Dallas last week wasn't just the CD
Lamb being back and pickings making huge catches, Devonte Williams
running wild well. Impressed about Dallas is that the defense
had a pick six and four sacks, and that's certainly
a positive. And Dallas has one other positive, certainly, we
talk about the mile high air. Brandon Aubrey is the
most dangerous deep kicker in the NFL. And if Dallas
(23:18):
gets to midfield in this game, Brandon Rodre can kickfield goals,
so they will have an edge. That being said, Dallas
two wins in a tie at home. On the road.
They've lost to Philly, They've lost to Carolina, they lost
to Chicago. Their only road win came against the Jets,
and Denver ain't the Jets. That being said, the Broncos
they won four in a row. They had the wildest
(23:39):
comeback win. You'll ever see last week zero zero zero
the first three quarters, thirty three in the fourth. That
being said, they won by two against the Jets prior
to that, So it's not a team that you would
necessarily I mean, so Denver is two four and one
(24:00):
ats full season. They're only covered as a favorite. Came
against the Bengals with Jake Brown, he's they're one in
four ats as chalk so far this season, and that's
definitely a concern for me. And when we talk about,
you know, the quotes coming out of Denver after last
week's in Sanitay Courtland Sutton quote, it's like a lion
that just got done eating and they're gonna take a nap.
(24:22):
You don't want to be that lion that's eating and
they're over there under the street kicking it mine in
their business instead. No, we're still hunting. You have to
have that mindset. I think that's something this team still has. Yeah,
they might, but Dallas the defense is showing signs. Dallas
certainly has the potency a to cover through the front
(24:43):
door or the back door if they fall behind, and
Denver isn't covering numbers as chalk lean. Dallas plus the
points here, and Dallas definitely correlates with over. We can
understand money if the money's come from Dallas and over
already this week, I wouldn't disagree with there of those linees.
Speaker 1 (25:03):
I'm looking hard at Bonick's passing props at that Dallas
defense just not slowing anybody down these days. Let's let's
switch things up. Let's go to the World Series. We
do have a pitcher for the Blue Jays, Savage and
he's going for the Blue Jay snell for the Dodgers
and minus one fifty. I kind of figured this line
would be a lot closer to minus two hundred. I
(25:24):
figured the Dodgers would be a big public plague here.
But we got the over under seven and a half,
which will break down on Game one.
Speaker 6 (25:31):
Yeah, I'm got about the total here more than the side.
I mean, looking at my odds logic Live Austrien, as
you mentioned seven and a half, the prevailing total juice
to the over minus one fifty ish for LA even
though that for the full series they're in the I'm
seeing as high as minus two to fifty down for
the Dodgers. Usually there's a little bit more correlation between
the game one price and the full series price. That's
(25:52):
not the case in this one, especially with the guy
like Snell on the hill. And of course the Dodgers
starting pitching was amazing against the Phillies and the Brewers.
That's said. I mean the Brewers went one of sixteen
in that series with runners in scoring position. Philly wasn't
much better. Neither team just they couldn't get a clutch hit.
Toronto has struggled to get a clutch hit against the
(26:13):
Dollars the meetings of the last two years. Toronto scored one, one, one, two,
three and five in six games. They went two and
four and scored thirteen runs total in those contests. But
I'm really not worried that much about regular season at
this stage. You know what happened in the regular season
meeting two years ago. You know, it's interesting to talk about.
(26:34):
It's not going to necessarily affect my handicap. The Blue
Jays bats have been strong this entire postseason. You know,
they're a contact team. They don't strike out. They scored
thirty four runs in four games against the Yankees, and
they got shut down the first two games against Seattle
and then scored thirty three runs the last five games
of that series six and a half runs per game.
You know, you talk about your savage. He's got three
careers to regular season starts, and then this will be
(26:57):
his third postseason start, and then those two postseasons starts
six walks, two Diggers allowed seven runs and nine point
one innings against the Seattle, and the Dodgers lineups a whole
lot more potent than the Mariners. Blake Snell's as ACE
eight gets you know, we trust him in big games.
Dodgers deserve to be chalk here for the side standpoints
la or pass. But I think the better bet for
this one might well be the over full game, over
(27:19):
seven and a half, first five over three and a half.
These are two lineups that can hit. Both are coming
off series, and I mean again, the Jays were an
over machine against the Seattle, and I don't think there's
still that we've seen the best this lineup has to offer,
So over seven and a half is the way I
would look tonight. They just missed being out on a
(27:39):
client play for me this evening, but I certainly lean
fairly strongly in that direction in Toronto, La.
Speaker 1 (27:45):
Oh, and finally we got to talk Ole Miss and Oklahoma.
Ole Miss first loss in the season against Georgia. Oklahoma
does a nice job rebounding after the loss to Texas
with a nice win against South Carolina, a big matchup here.
We got the Sooners minus five and a half over
in fifty two and a half. At first, I was like, yeah,
(28:06):
it seems high, but it is an Old Miss game.
How do you break down Oklahoma and oll Miss?
Speaker 6 (28:10):
Yeah? For ol Miss, it's a low total, you know,
so exactly, you know. And this is of course a
battle between a great offense and a great defense. And
generally in these type of battles, I look to the
great defense before I look to the great offense. Right now,
look at the odd Logic Live Odds screen. I'm seeing
Oklahoma minus five slash five and a half total. It's
(28:33):
called it fifty two and a half. There are some
fifty threes out there for this battle between the Sooners
and the Rebels. And last year, I mean, we saw
Brent Venibles hold Old Miss to twenty six points at
three and and eighty yards of offense with a rock
solid performance. That being said, their offense wasn't good enough.
They only scored fourteen and that was an Oxford. This
one's in Norman, all right. And when you think about
(28:59):
the concepts for oldness, I mean Trinidad Chambliss fifteen hundred
passing yards, eight touchdowns, one reception. They've good enough, just
seven sacks all season. You know Veniables quote. They've done
a great job keeping the quarterback upright and keeping him clean.
That being said, Oklahoma, all right, leads the nation in
(29:19):
total defense two hundred thirteen yards allowed per game, lead
the nation in sex for per game. You know Kiffin
talking about the defense he's facing. It's a phenomenal prep,
a film study of signals to do a great job
of that. If you study people really well, you have
enough confidence of coach to go after these They've got
a really good read on the plays they're coming when
they're called. They do a good job of going and
(29:40):
taking those away. More about Kiffin talking about Venables quote,
he just never lets up. That's not necessarily always how
defensive coaches call it, but maybe a little more some
offensive than some offensive coaches do.
Speaker 7 (29:53):
That.
Speaker 6 (29:53):
It's worth noting this Kiffin leaving town for another job.
The rumors continue, and I think that's a distraction for
the Old Miss team. I also worry about the fact
they're coming off their first loss of the season against
Georgia last week, a game which the offense did everything
right and then everything fell apart at the end in
the fourth quarter of that contest. We saw Oklahoma bounce
(30:18):
back nice off their win. You talked about how they
beat South Carolina last week. I'm not convinced Old Miss
bounces back as well. Lean to the favorite, and there's
a correlation here. Oklahoma correlates with under, Old Miss correlates
with over. If you're playing the Sooners, you may want
to either put something separately on the under, or perhaps
partly the two of them together to maximize your return
(30:39):
on investments.
Speaker 1 (30:41):
Teddy covers great breakdowns. As always, what do you have
up for clients at wager Talk?
Speaker 6 (30:46):
So right now I got NBA up for tonight. We're
posting the college card and the NFL card as in
the moments when we get off air, So check out
the page w Dot Buzz backslash TC and you'll see
all my plays for the weekend posted in a relatively
short amount of time after I get off here.
Speaker 1 (31:03):
Awesome work, Teddy covers. Thanks for being a part of
football for Eddie always always come with the heat, with
the big breakdowns. Thank you so much, good luck and
have a great weekend. Sir Sures, Oh, wait, were gonna
do sell me?
Speaker 2 (31:15):
Wait?
Speaker 1 (31:15):
Dan, we forgot to do sell me?
Speaker 5 (31:17):
You were the host. I was like, is he Teddy.
Speaker 1 (31:21):
Forgot sell my God?
Speaker 2 (31:23):
No, that's Eddie.
Speaker 5 (31:25):
It's it's because it's Andy.
Speaker 7 (31:27):
It's because last week I made you break against against
your own pick so.
Speaker 5 (31:34):
At at.
Speaker 7 (31:37):
Risk of Marco D'Angelo calling me a sick mother effort again,
we're looking for picking this game in and of itself,
Jets and Bangals, and we will be doing our uh
we're our survivor segment at the end of this program.
Speaker 5 (31:54):
Andy, and you better not so.
Speaker 6 (31:58):
Andy.
Speaker 7 (31:59):
I'm wondering this spread that we're looking at is around
six six and a half. Actually, some money started to
show here for the Jets a little bit, so we'll
we'll we're greater at six and a half.
Speaker 5 (32:10):
But it looks like the markets are gonna be going
to six.
Speaker 7 (32:12):
Andy, why do you agree with the money coming in
on the Jets? Sell me the side of the New
York Football Jets, and Teddy, you will have to sell
me on the side of the favorite that Andy and
I might just be going with and survivor take this
for a sick mother affor Marco D'Angelo sell me this
NFL side, Andy.
Speaker 1 (32:34):
I have to take the Jets. I'm okay, okay, I
will make the case that the Jets will backdoor cover late.
I think so, so I just I just need them
to cover this. They get a few surprises with the
new quarterback. They get a few surprises with new wide
(32:55):
receivers because apparently the current ones that are starting don't
want to play. They get a few surprises with maybe
some running backs that the Bengals haven't seen because apparently
Breeze Hall is upset and doesn't want to play. They
get some new surprises with their secondary because apparently Sauce
Gardner doesn't want to play now. So yeah, we got
a bunch of unknowns from the Jets. The Bengals take
(33:16):
advantage late, but early on they're confused. The Jets make
it a little messy, and you got Tyrod Taylor. The
team is fighting for Tyron Taylor. We all know this.
Tyron Taylor, great locker room guy. The Jets fall behind
a little early. Bengals start to take away. They start
to pull away in the second and the third. But
at the end, the Jets score kind of one of
(33:39):
these late touchdowns to get it to like a four
or five point game with like thirty seconds left. Then
Flacco niels down because the Jets starters need to be
out there, because the coaches need to see what they
have with all these new players. So Jets backdoor cover late.
Speaker 7 (33:56):
Comment says it all. But that is the point of
the segment. That's the point, yes segment.
Speaker 5 (34:00):
So for people who don't know, you take the NFL side.
Speaker 7 (34:03):
These guys don't know what they're gonna have to pick,
and sometimes I know which side they like, and I
make them break down the other side. Teddy the breakdown
straw in there.
Speaker 5 (34:12):
We don't know who's playing for the Jets, so neither
do the Bengals. Is the handicap.
Speaker 7 (34:17):
Essentially none of that matters, though, right because the Bengals
are covering. Sell me that NFL side.
Speaker 6 (34:22):
So let me start by selling you the Jets for
a minute. Because Andy missed the two best talking points
for the Jets, the two best chalkboards of the Jets,
or Cincinnati has yet to win a game this year
by more than four points, against anybody. So they're waiting
the winning, but they're not winning by margin. That's not
a defense you can lake points with and be just
have a bye next week and we want a winless
team before the byats. Ever, they're gonna show off. They're
(34:42):
gonna show up here. So that's your case for the Jets.
I was supposed to make a case for Cincy, and
my case for Cincy. I can do it in one sentence.
You're betting against the Jets.
Speaker 1 (34:56):
That was well done.
Speaker 7 (34:57):
That was well done. Also, yeah, yeah, no, you're betting.
You're betting against the Jets. Yeah, that's that's in the
comments there as well. Well, guys, it's a fun segment. Again, Andy,
I'm sorry I did it to you. Next week, I'll
pick a better game for you and I won't make
you pick against your survivor pick for next next week.
For this week, I had a fun time watching that.
(35:18):
Well done Jet. You're betting against the Jets. I never
had a chance. Thank you, Teddy kupfers appreciate it.
Speaker 1 (35:26):
Have a good weekend. Look at this comment, Andy, your
defense for the Jets was similar to theirs. Yes, that's rough,
it's rough, true, but accurate. Thank you. That's a great comment.
(35:46):
All right, let's bring in Marco. Oh Marco, oh boy.
Imagine being a Jets fan right now, and I have
Jets fans in my life and it is it is hilarious.
So we've been asking people day and a lot of
in in lieu of the Chauncey Billups situation, what's the
what's the one bet you lost that you can't prove
(36:08):
was fixed? But deep down inside you know, damn well
that thing was fixed. Do you have it off the
top of your head or do you need to think
about it for a minute.
Speaker 8 (36:16):
I really don't have one, and I don't like to
go down that road. But what I will say on
this whole thing of going on is, yes, this is
gonna be something that's gonna be a concern. And we're
just seeing, you know, the tip of the iceberg with
what happened, you know, yesterday. But you know I did
catch the segment earlier when you were talking with Ace
(36:39):
and so forth. Anything that involves one player that can
control whether you're talking, you know, like a tennis match,
you know, a fight, a boxing match. You know, obviously
there's always gonna be questions there when there's something because
that's the easiest way to do something. But with the
new betting market, how easy is it on the player prop?
(37:00):
That's where it's at. But this is where it's stupid
with these guys, because you know, there are such limits
on player props that any you know, unnatural wave of
money that comes in on a particular player prop is
gonna set off so many bells and whistles and alarms
you're gonna get caught. I am honestly surprised that it's
(37:23):
taking the FBI this long if this was going on
to the degree that they're saying that it was going on,
because that kind of money just doesn't come in one
sided on props.
Speaker 2 (37:35):
Why it took them so long.
Speaker 8 (37:36):
So I'm curious to see when all the dust settles,
what happens if you want to ask me, if I
could say some the most frustrating part of betting a
player prop is when you have a player that is
just rolling over, gonna go over a total and you know,
I did a ton of them in the w NBA
(37:58):
this year, and if one of the teams really gets
way out there and you can't figure out if the
coach is going to leave players in or if they're
gonna empty the bench and win, and there's nothing more frustrating.
I lost a couple of player props this year by
half a point when my player didn't.
Speaker 2 (38:15):
Play the fourth quarter.
Speaker 8 (38:17):
Those yeah, those are those are frustrating, But that's part
of the game, because you know, you're not supposed to
leave a superstar out there when the game's you know, decided,
you know, to risk injury.
Speaker 2 (38:27):
So you can't.
Speaker 8 (38:28):
I'm not gonna say that, you know, I'm not you know,
referencing that that was in any way of shape or
form a situation where the fix was in.
Speaker 2 (38:37):
That was just smart, you know, basketball IQ.
Speaker 1 (38:41):
I mean, Marco. The other weird thing is they're like, well,
we noticed two hundred thousand dollars got bet on Terry
Rozier under and it was like, well, hold on, how.
Speaker 2 (38:49):
Do you get two hundred thousand dollars?
Speaker 1 (38:52):
I can't put five hundred dollars down on one book
on a player prop without being a flag, Like, how
did y'all get two hundred thousand dollars? All right? We aggressed?
All right, let's talk. Let's talk some actual games. You
get the Giants in the Eagles fascinating match up here,
the Giants coming off of an absolutely brutal spot. It's
gonna be interesting how this team survives. And the books
(39:15):
aren't playing around. I mean, you've got Philly midas seven
and a half and over under forty four. You got
to pay a pretty pretty penny if you want to
take this Eagles team. How do you break it down?
Speaker 8 (39:25):
Yeah, you're paying a premium for you know, taking the Eagles,
you know, in revenge. And you know, I'm scared to
definitely give a breakdown on these Philadelphia games because Dan
keeps giving me Philadelphia games and I see how he
treats you, and I'll be honest, I'm scared, Yeah, because
he is one sick mother, you know what. But we
(39:45):
talk about this and so you know what I'm gonna
do to be safe. I'm gonna give you the total.
Speaker 5 (39:52):
I love it.
Speaker 6 (39:53):
That's smart.
Speaker 2 (39:54):
That's how much Dan scares me.
Speaker 8 (39:55):
All right, But you know here in all kidding aside,
it is a quick game for Philadelphia. They just played
two weeks ago on that Thursday night game. History supports
Philadelphia to win this game. Since two thousand and six
in this series, when they've played in Philadelphia, Philadelphia sixteen
and five straight up. Now, ironically, and this is a
(40:17):
big swing because we know the adage. You know, you
just picked the winner in the NFL, you're generally gonna
have the points spread winner as well. That has not
been the case in this series. The games in Philadelphia,
the Giants, even though they're only five and sixteen straight up,
are actually twelve and eight against the spread in Philadelphia,
(40:38):
So they do play them tough, or we're just playing
an inflated number. And I think again, you're looking at
an inflated number here. I really want to pull the
trigger with Philly in revenge, but I can't get to
the window laying that seven and a half. I will admit,
I'm gonna have probably Philadelphia on a couple of my
teasers this week. Get them down to you know, with
(41:00):
a six point t's er get him down to one
and a half. But here's the problem with Philadelphia. If
you can't run the football consistently, you're not gonna win
in the NFL.
Speaker 2 (41:11):
You cannot be a one dimensional team.
Speaker 8 (41:13):
And in the last three weeks, Philadelphia's run for forty five,
seventy three and forty five yards. That's my biggest concern
with Philadelphia. Uh, so that has me looking, you know,
at the total here and when we go back to
that Thursday night game, just you know a couple of
weeks ago, you're going to say, well, what's going to
be different. You know, the Giants went up and down
the field on Philadelphia.
Speaker 2 (41:35):
It was ugly.
Speaker 8 (41:36):
Well Philadelphia really didn't know what to expect. That was
the first time they played the Giants. And I'm going
to use the phrase the new look Giants. You know,
remember Jackson Dart was making his third career start, so
you only had a couple you know, game films to
look at and see what was going to go on
and how they were going to attack you in this
(41:57):
particular game. Now you've played once and you've got you know,
another game of game film, two more games to look at.
So I think they're going to be better prepared for
Jackson Dart. We talk about it in baseball how many
times I tell you that, you know, when you got
a rookie pitcher first time around the league, Man, I
love taking the rookie pitcher because you don't they haven't
(42:18):
seen them yet. But as they go second time around
the league, are they going to be as effective? This
is going to be his first second meeting against the
team in his career. Let's see how he handles that.
With that said, that has me on the total, and
it has me on the under. Philadelphia needs to establish
the running game, even if it's not working. They got
(42:39):
to get the ball on the ground. They got to
get attempts. You can't have a split like they had.
You know, in one of their games they only ran
the football eleven times in the game. How do you
do that. You need to have some kind of balance
to keep the defense. Honest, I think they go under
the total. You look at this total, it's inflated because
of last week's game with the Giants in Denver, and
(43:02):
they can say if they could do that against the
Giants defense or the Denver defense, the Giants should score
points again here Once again, I think that was a
part of fatigue with Denver. Denver had played a murderous schedule,
traveling all over the country, had to go to the
East Coast two weeks ago, then had to go to London,
then had to come back without a bye week and
(43:23):
play in the altitude. We always talk about the altitude,
how it affects the visiting team, but when you're traveling
around as much as they had been, it had to
affect them too, and both teams just kept going up
and down the field, well, at least Denver did in
the fourth quarter. I'm going under. The under in this
series is fourteen and seven in the last six meetings
(43:44):
between these two, this is the highest total. It's an overreaction,
go under division game, especially with the home team in revenge.
I'm taking under forty four.
Speaker 1 (43:55):
Like it, like it, like it on the under. Very
very smart, well played, Marco, well played to go.
Speaker 7 (44:03):
Your microphone still works. Your microphone still works, especially putting
the Eagles in a teaser lag. We'll allow you to
continue on the show.
Speaker 2 (44:10):
Mark this guy ain't dumb.
Speaker 8 (44:12):
How do you think I survived four and a half
decades in this business?
Speaker 2 (44:17):
I know who's but the kiss?
Speaker 1 (44:20):
Well, let's talk Alabama and South Carolina before we get
to the sauce of the week. Alabama sure seems to
be finding their groove their twelve point favorites here South Carolina.
I mean, let's face it, they can't really moneyline compete
against these ranked teams, but can they cover a spread?
You got over under forty seven and a half. How
do you see the Crimson Tide in the Gamecocks.
Speaker 2 (44:40):
Well, I'll tell you how I see this game is.
Speaker 8 (44:42):
If I'm wrong on this game, I can see the
comments just calling me a complete another idiot and some
people who usually do whenever we lose a game going
against a public play. I mean, last week in the NFL,
it was not good for me, I'll tell you that.
And we had some of those ugly league teams on
the card. But you know what, nobody comes around whenever
(45:04):
week after week you're cashing tickets with ugly plays. But
the week that every favorite you know wins over the
garbage teams, everybody that's you know, John Q public that
likes to play those teams will let you hear about it.
And I'm going to step in front of Alabama here
and this is you know, I know, sounds crazy the
way they're playing, but these teams can't go full throttle
(45:27):
every single week the entire season. And I'm just looking
at the schedule here of what Alabama has been doing.
Speaker 2 (45:35):
One you've got them.
Speaker 8 (45:36):
They're coming off a big game last week. Okay, uh,
that was a revenge game for Alabama against Tennessee.
Speaker 2 (45:43):
They got their revenge.
Speaker 8 (45:45):
Now, if you go back and look, they had a
revenge game earlier this year. Remember Alabama lost four times
last year, something you never see with an Alabama team. Well,
one of those teams they lost to last year was Vanderbilt.
They came back and took care of business against being
to build a few weeks back. What happened in the
next week they were life and death with Missouri. They
(46:05):
escaped with a three point win. Now, granted, I'm not
trying to compare Missouri to South Carolina, because we know
Missouri is a much better team. But the point is that,
you know, point spreads the great equalizer here. And I
have a little thing that you know, we all have
our little things that hit triggers for us when we
first look at the games. Okay, well, when I sit
(46:26):
down and start to look at the games, I go
down the list. I look at every game on the
board real fast and look at what the opening numbers are,
and then I'll make a note if something strikes me.
And when you have a public team like Alabama, a powerhouse,
you know it's a public team. Everybody likes to bet them,
and they're a favorite, and they're just under one of
(46:51):
those key numbers Okay. So obviously we're talking about the threes,
the sevens, you know, the fourteen's, Well they're.
Speaker 2 (46:58):
Sitting at twelve. Okay.
Speaker 8 (47:00):
I can guarantee you if Vegas would have made this
thirteen or fourteen, the public players would have thought nothing
of it and still played Alabama because Alabama's gonna go,
oh yeah, they're gonna win by two touchdowns. That's just
the thought process that they go with. But when it's
hanging under one of those key numbers, the reason for
that is they know if they do put that number
(47:22):
up at fourteen, they're gonna get the public still gonna
play it, but they're gonna get an onslaught of sharp
money on the dog because they know that it's gonna
be overvalued. And that gets me start thinking about the dog.
So when I start thinking about the dog, I went
back and looked at everything that we got here with
this Alabama team. Look at what they've played. This is
(47:42):
in succession Georgia Vanderbilt revenge, Missouri Tennessee revenge, and then
their next two games. And I will point out they
do have next week off, so that softens it a
little bit. But then they have LSU in Oklahoma, if
there's ever a week to fill the you just need
to show up and you're gonna win. It's this week
(48:03):
against South Carolina, who just got drilled last week by Oklahoma.
Go ahead, you can give me all the flak you
want after the game if I lose it, But I
trust the process of what I've done over decades, and
this is a spot where I can't play Alabama. I'm
taking South Carolina plus the points. Alabama wins the game,
but it's gonna be one of those ones that's gonna
(48:25):
be a lot closer than people think.
Speaker 1 (48:28):
I like that breakdown. What do you mean you can
catch flak if you have a if you put out
a free play? This what are you talking about.
Speaker 8 (48:36):
If you never read the comments on it?
Speaker 1 (48:39):
An yeah, yeah, just pulling back the curtain a little bit.
Kelly is making us go read the comments and respond
to them. And it's like, really, we have to think
I respond to all these comments when we give out
a losing free play. Damn it all, right, let's get
let's do the sauce of the week. I still don't
(49:00):
think it's gonna get much better than you giving the
playing sauce to James Franklin who propably gets fired. That
was just an all timer.
Speaker 2 (49:10):
That was your favorite?
Speaker 1 (49:12):
Oh my god, I mean it was just so perfect.
Who's your sauce of the week this week?
Speaker 8 (49:17):
All right, our sauce of the week. We're going to
a team. We're not going to a player this week.
We're going to a team. And I know they played
last night, So forget last night, and thank you La
Chargers for winning and getting me four units back of
the five you cost me last Sunday. Yeah, that full disclosure,
I had a five on the Chargers. And also full disclosure.
(49:38):
Last week, I was at the West Gate for the
late games to watch them because the Lake card was
supposed to one paper, be pretty good, and a couple
of them end up being pretty entertaining. But when I
walked into the west Gate and I'm sitting down and
I don't even have my first drink yet, and they
go to the big screen to put that Charger game on,
(49:59):
and I saw the uniforms that they came out in.
I immediately turned to my buddy and said, we are screwed.
But I used a different work.
Speaker 6 (50:14):
This did?
Speaker 2 (50:16):
Was it Savannah Banana Day? There? It's so fine?
Speaker 8 (50:21):
What the what are these uniforms, and as awful as
those uniforms were, the only thing that was uglier was the.
Speaker 2 (50:30):
Performance of the Chargers.
Speaker 8 (50:33):
Please explain to me the team that we saw last
Sunday to the team we saw last night. Okay, how
do you even explain that? There's nothing to explain other
than the uniforms for there. So for the Chargers, for
the sauce of the week, you get lemon pepper.
Speaker 2 (50:51):
Okay, yellow lemon. Yellow.
Speaker 8 (50:55):
Lemon pepper has a little bit of flavor, but it
has no bite at all.
Speaker 2 (51:00):
It's just like your performance last week. Screw you Chargers
last week.
Speaker 8 (51:04):
And if I ever see you play those with those
uniforms again, please let me know ahead of time so
I can bet the other way.
Speaker 2 (51:12):
That's it. Lemon pepper, guys.
Speaker 9 (51:17):
That's that's great, the lemon pepper for the Chargers uniforms.
It's absolutely absolutely Yeah, losing is one thing, but when you, yeah,
when you lose dressed like a banana, it's it's tough.
Speaker 8 (51:28):
So because bananas would have probably put up a better effort, Yeah,
it would.
Speaker 2 (51:35):
Have been more in my half.
Speaker 1 (51:36):
They might have played better defense. Marco, we got Weekend Warrior.
That's up. We had all kinds of specials that made
you talk. What do you have up for this weekend?
Speaker 8 (51:45):
Well, you know, take advantage weekend warrior. If you're just
playing football, that is the way to go. You're gonna
get everything Saturday and Sunday, college and Pro. You'll get
any five percents that are included, and if we have
a Monday night play, you get that thrown in as well.
If you're playing more than just football, then the way
to go.
Speaker 2 (52:05):
Guys.
Speaker 8 (52:05):
We've got a deal for the rest of twenty twenty five.
It's five hundred and ninety dollars gets you any capper.
It's sight wide. You can get any capper the rest
of the year. All of their place, guys. NBA started
this week, hockey started a couple of weeks ago. We've
got college basketball ready to start, and then of course
we got the World Series starting tonight. So everything is
(52:26):
in play right now. Jump on board. We're off to
a nice start with the hockey. I'm very selective in
both hockey and NBA, but when we have plays, we
win them. We did lose one last night in overtime
with the Denver Nuggets. That was a tough one. Always
loved losing a dog in overtime. Those are always fun.
(52:47):
But situation being, we are number one in NBA the
last five years going back to twenty twenty and money
one and number one in hockey the last four years
going back to or excuse me, twenty for NBA twenty
twenty one for hockey. So jump on board for either
of those packages, and we do have a big play
(53:08):
coming this weekend. Our college football four and five percent
plays are now twelve and four for the season. Looking
forward to a couple big plays on Saturday.
Speaker 1 (53:18):
In college football, Marco D'Angelo great breakdowns and he comes
in hot with the Lemon Peppers sauce. Marco's plays are
up at wager talk dot com. Thank you, Marco. Have
a great weekend, my friend. All right, guys, we're gonna
do all around the world. We're gonna give out some
free picks. Dan's gonna come home. We'll do our Survivor.
I think we spill the beans on that one. But
we'll also go over some Pick five super contest picks.
(53:41):
I've talked about it all week. Week eight props pack
is up right now. That's over at wager talk. You
get all of our NFL Props client plays. Coming off
of six and four week we're doing really, really well
in NFL Props. It's been one of the bright spots
this season. Yeah, let's let's do some Let's do some
free plays here with all around the world. You guys
heard me talk about him on the Let's go right
back to Reed Shepard over two and a half assist.
(54:02):
That was the most brutal matchup he's gonna get. He
didn't even start and he got over this total. He
gets the Pistons. Let's just say the Pistons, let's say
the Pistons backcourt is not as aggressive on defense as
the Oklahoma City Thunder. We'll say that. So go with
Read Shepherd over two and a half assists, Bill's and
Panthers Josh Allen over one and a half passing touchdown.
He's gone over in four straight games. He had three
(54:24):
last time he played the Panthers. Looks like Andy Dalton's
gonna be playing for the Panthers. So I don't know
what Andy Dalton has to do with that handicap, So
actually forget that. Delete that. Dan all Right forty nine
Ers and Texans Christian McCaffrey over forty three and a
half receiving. This one terrifies me because this was gonna
open at fifty two and a half and now it's
(54:45):
down to forty three and a half. And I don't
know why. I don't know if they're getting some more.
I don't know if they're getting receivers back or whatever.
But he's flown over this total in every game this season.
His lowest receiving total is fifty two. I'm just gonna
ride the streak. We've made a lot of money betting
on Christian McCaffrey over's receiving, but this line kind of
falls in the category if this makes no sense, and
maybe the books know something I don't. So those are
(55:07):
your free place, all right, Dan, come on in here,
let's do Let's do Survivor and then we'll do the picks. Dan,
your show is going to be up later today where
you go over your official bets for that, but let's
do Survivor first. This is going to be a pretty
pretty easy.
Speaker 7 (55:23):
Yes, it should be pretty straightforward. And yes, now we're
in week eight of getting to see this lovely graphic
because you and I have both survived here and.
Speaker 5 (55:34):
Yeah, it's that obvious if you have the Colts.
Speaker 7 (55:37):
You play the Colts right if you still use them,
Andy and I both use them in both.
Speaker 1 (55:40):
Of our entries.
Speaker 7 (55:42):
The thing is on the Bengals here, and yeah, sure
we've seen some money show for the Jets, but as
you talked about and sell me like that's more of
a backdoor cover or like the Bengals actually have a
real shot of making a potential playoff push and making
it relevant for when Joe Burrow could potentially be back. Like,
they look good, their defense looks better. The Jets have
(56:03):
all these kind of injuries stocking up. Do you have
that internal you know, turmoil that you kind of have
in the locker room with the owner saying that Justin
Fields essentially sucks and Justin Field's responding to it at
a press conference. So it was a team who was
already playing really poorly and now have all this extra
stuff outside and Andy, we were flirting with, you know,
Atlanta the Patriots. I think there's better times to use
(56:26):
both of those teams later in the year. There's no
other time that you're gonna feel confident putting in the Bengals.
And this also hits the smell test, Andy of It's
Week eight if we lose in Survivor because the Jets
pull off a road victory where there's six and a
half point underdogs, I don't care who it's against. Tip
your hat, you got us, Chauncey Billups, I'm taking the Bengals.
Speaker 1 (56:50):
Can I just read you the headline? This headline just
came out twenty six minutes ago. Garrett Wilson and Sauce
Gardner out, Aaron Glenn doesn't name starting quarter back, I
mean strong Jadlin.
Speaker 5 (57:06):
That's a bet on Jets quote.
Speaker 1 (57:07):
Yeah, like, uh yeah, so this they're probably gonna be
sellers here. I mean, Garrett Wilson wants out. I can't
believe Breece Hall would want to stay around for that.
Sauce Gardner doesn't want anything to do. And then you
have the owner on top of that, coming out and
completely destroying their quarterback.
Speaker 7 (57:25):
Like yeah, and like you said, Breece Hall is also
questionable for this game, so like and really, this offense
does not move the ball without Garrett Wilson, Like that's
just no, not even close. That's it's been set it
and forget it. If Garrett Wilson's out, this team doesn't.
Speaker 6 (57:39):
Move the ball.
Speaker 1 (57:41):
And we watched the Bengals fight for their new quarterback.
We watched the Bengals fight for Joe Claco and this
movie the Jets, and we watched.
Speaker 7 (57:48):
We watched the defense play really well, you know what
I mean, Like, yeah, I know it was a Thursday
night game. Yeah, I know it was a rivalry game,
but that was showing me a team in the Bengals
that's like, oh my god, we actually have something to
play for it now because the offensive line didn't get
any better. But the difference is Joe Flacco can get
that ball out and because of his age, he needs
to get that ball out. That read option that Joe
(58:10):
Flacco run. Who knew that that man had it in them?
So this is a Bengals team who, for the first
time this season, even when Joe Burrow was in and
they and you know, they you know, win that game
against the Jets where it was really kind of the
Jets lost it. This is the best that this Bengals
team has looked. Don't get scared that you're saying what
they're laying six and a half. This is when you
play them, and if you do have the Colts, you
(58:31):
play the Colts are fourteen point favorites.
Speaker 1 (58:34):
Yeah, absolutely that, I will tell you. I see him
bet online. Everyone is on the Colts, so you and
I need this.
Speaker 8 (58:40):
No.
Speaker 7 (58:41):
Steve Duke also points out no other time, how about
at no time do I take the Bengals?
Speaker 5 (58:45):
All right, Steve?
Speaker 7 (58:45):
Then who are you taking this week? And what teams
do you have left? Because you're fighting? Also what teams
are you going to pick? So you have the Colts
left you have, They're all fine picks, but there's better
points to make him in the year. So Steve, if
this is such a horrible pick, let us know what
your pick is and what your survivor pick is. I'd
(59:06):
love to see it, but I think I think it
makes sense here Andy, and maybe we'll be Idiot's Monday,
but I don't think so.
Speaker 1 (59:13):
All right, let's go over my Pick five Mega Contest picks.
I went three and two last week. That keeps me. Well,
I'm not on the front page anymore because a couple
people had the Chargers last night and they moved ahead
of me. But I'm within three points of the of
the lead here, so I'm just you know what worked
last week? Dan was just fading these terrible teams and
(59:34):
I'm gonna go right back to it. Falcons at home
against the Dolphins. There's a Dolphins are a mess. They're
the worst rush defense in the league. So I think
Bijon and Algier just runs wild through them. And I
am going to take the Bengals minus six and a half.
In the contest we went over the Jets. I don't
trust this Houston Texans team. Dan, I faded him last week.
(59:55):
I don't trust him at all. That offensive line is
so bad and forty nine ers. They're not healthy, but
they're getting a little bit healthier, and I like the
fight that they showed last week. They're the quarterback situation
is a little messy, but I thought the defense at
least tried. I think they're gonna be able to pressure
at Houston. I don't trust this Broncos team as well.
(01:00:16):
Give me Dallas on the road plus three and a half.
Any team that can put up a lot of points
is gonna have a chance. And I think this Broncos
defense is not as good as we thought they were
going to be coming into the season. They needed a
miracle to beat the Giants last week, and then I'm
just gonna lay it. This is a fatee of Marcus
Mariota on the road against the Kansas City Chiefs, I'll
lay the huge number. I mean, this is a Kansas
(01:00:38):
City chief team that covered this against the Detroit Lions.
If this was Jayden Daniels, I don't know what this
line would be. But I watched Marcus Mariota and the
offense is very limited. They got very limited weapons in
the receiving game. So I'm laying a couple of big
numbers here. But it's worked for me so good. So
you got Falcons, Bengals, forty nine Ers, Cowboys and Chiefs.
(01:00:58):
Any of those you let, you're gonna be tailing in
your contest.
Speaker 2 (01:01:01):
Dam Yeah.
Speaker 7 (01:01:02):
Actually, one of my favorite picks this week and one
that I bet myself too. I think you have a
WTF special in the forty nine Ers. It's a wrong
team favorite special. I mean, I get it, the forty
nine ers are banged up, they're on the road, this,
that and the other thing. But really, I think we're
putting a little bit too much weight in the loss
that they had most recently, because before that, Mac Jones
(01:01:23):
hadn't lost as a starter with with Kyle Shanahan against
I would argue better opponents.
Speaker 5 (01:01:28):
That offensive line is awful for Houston.
Speaker 7 (01:01:31):
So even with the banged up front for the forty
nine Ers, the offensive coordinator is even worse than the
offensive line for that that Houston team. So that's when
I like a lot. I like the Cowboys. You know,
a couple of these I was looking towards as well.
I have three other ones that we'll be going with.
So let's make millions gonna be dropping around. Let's call
it like two thirty today, and that'll be me and
Adam Rosenberg's five picks on our circu picks for this
(01:01:54):
week where within striking distance we've had six or we're
going for six straight.
Speaker 5 (01:01:58):
Winning weeks, So let's let's make it six.
Speaker 7 (01:02:01):
Yeah, so five straight winning weeks on a nice little
run in striking distance, but we're looking for that that
elusive five and zero weekend. You know, it's tough picking
five NFL sides. Whenever you're profitable, it's a good thing.
Speaker 1 (01:02:12):
So all right, before we go, Dan, what's the one
bet you lost that you can't prove it was fixed,
but you know d it was?
Speaker 5 (01:02:22):
Yeah for me, shocker.
Speaker 7 (01:02:24):
It's a it's an Eagles game, some folks, will remember
the there is not a clear recovery game.
Speaker 5 (01:02:30):
This was probably.
Speaker 7 (01:02:33):
Close to ten years ago now, and it was really
when I first started sports betting, and it was a
great spot. Primetime Philadelphia Eagles against the Dallas Cowboys.
Speaker 5 (01:02:41):
Absolutely loved the Eagles.
Speaker 7 (01:02:43):
As the road dog started off with the bang, the
Eagles kickoff down to the Dallas Cowboys.
Speaker 5 (01:02:48):
Ball gets punched out.
Speaker 7 (01:02:49):
Clear as day, ball goes out, It wasn't the guy's
knee was down anything. Eagles clearly goes into a pile.
The pile was ninety percent Philadelphia Eagles. A Philadelphia Eagles
player comes out with the ball and the call from
Bill Vinovich no clear recovery. Okay, no clear recovery. And
then later in the game, Dallas Godder running for a
(01:03:12):
touchdown gets his helmet smacked off. He gets hit so
hard as helmet pops off and he's running down the
field with half a helmet on his head.
Speaker 5 (01:03:19):
Ball is coming back.
Speaker 7 (01:03:20):
It would have been a game winning play for the
Eagles and a cover for the Eagles offensive pass interference
on the guy who got his helmet knocked off on
the play. Andy, I can't prove it, but the not
a clear recovery game with Bill Vinovich.
Speaker 5 (01:03:35):
Damn it, that game was rigged.
Speaker 1 (01:03:36):
That game was rigged. All right, all right, why did they.
Speaker 5 (01:03:45):
Why did they kick that field goal?
Speaker 1 (01:03:47):
Man, it's so true, so true. All right, we went
a little late, but that's football Fridays, Thank you very much.
Speaker 7 (01:03:53):
Dan.
Speaker 1 (01:03:54):
Show's coming up here in a couple hours. Myself, Jim
and Corbyn will have our NFL prop show up either
latenight or tomorrow morning, so we'll break down all the props.
We got a lot of teams on by, so we've
got some limited props with some real good ones. Our
NFL Props pack is up. UFC Best Bet is up.
Only one play, but we love that play. That's over
at wt dot buzz slash al Good luck this weekend
