Speaker 1 (00:08):

and we give him the option of giving us two
teams to support or fade. You know it's you know,
he's you know, he's coming with fades right like we
all know this. He's given us teams to bet against.
Brian Power is gonna break down forty nine ers in

(00:30):
rams on Thursday Night football.

Speaker 2 (00:31):
He's also gonna give us an in.

Speaker 1 (00:32):
Depth breakdown on Tigers and Guardian send us a message said, Hey,
this breakdown on the baseball game is gonna be gonna
be much longer, so buckle up. I know this is
a big, big game forever. A lot of people in
the chat. My good friend Lawrence the Prez is going
to join us. He's gonna preview the Vikings and the Browns.
And I've got a special question that I'm going I'm

(00:52):
gonna ask him. It's a strong opinion I have and
there's nobody better than him to answer. And of course
at the end it's Tuesday. I'll give you some Contender
series thoughts, but let's get it started.

Speaker 2 (01:03):
You guys know what to do.

Speaker 1 (01:05):

Speaker 2 (01:11):
And one person you can get videos from is Jesse. Jesse, Welcome, Welcome.

Speaker 1 (01:16):
I gave you the no chop chant when you faded
Florida State last week. He made me eat my words
that it was a fantastic call by you. We're gonna
just jump right in. We're gonna break down Kentucky and Georgia. Georgia,
as you well know, coming off this very rare home
loss to Alabama. We got Kentucky oh to two and

(01:39):
the SEC I was not even aware of this Georgia
oh to four ats. They've not been good against the
spread here. We got a huge spread though, minus twenty
and a half. I've seen twenty ones out there over
under forty eight and a half. How do you break
this game down?

Speaker 2 (01:57):
Well?

Speaker 3 (01:57):
Without mentioning last week's game against Alabama that didn't work
out very well for me, I will point out that
this Georgia team was on my list of teams to
fade this summer. On this show. You might remember Andy,
I came in here and talked about Kirby Smart losing
control over the team, all the off field issues and

(02:17):
the players getting arrested this summer, and you know, a
new quarterback. And I think this Georgia team's good, but
I don't know if they're win the SEC, win the Natty. Good.
Now they're one in seven against Alabama. Kirby Smart's record
versus Alabama moves to one and seven. They're still thirty
three and one at home since twenty nineteen. This is

(02:41):
clearly not the same team as it was with Carson
Beck and Brock Bauers a couple of years ago. I
think they lacked the depth on defense and on the
line of scrimmage and quarterbacks doing all right last week
wasn't the best result, but this is a pretty good result.
They're playing, sorry, a good situation, playing Kentucky at home,

(03:04):
and a lot of people might look at last year's
game they won thirteen to twelve at Kentucky in a
nail bier, low scoring game. You might look at that
and say, now they're a twenty and a half point favorite.
This is out of control. But completely different situation. That
game last year was a look ahead spot on the
road ahead of the Alabama game, and this year it's

(03:25):
back at home after the Alabama game with a pissed
off team that got embarrassed last week. I think this
Georgia team's going to crush in this game. The last
time that Kentucky played at Georgia, they lost by a
score of fifty one to thirteen. I mentioned that I

(03:47):
don't think that this Georgia team is as good as
it was in previous seasons. I think Kentucky is significantly
worse than it was last year, particularly at the quarterback position.
I know Brock vander Griff was disappointing last season, but
Calzada has already been benched, and now they got freshman
Cutter Bowley, who was not impressive last week against South Carolina,

(04:11):
throwing for one hundred and twenty four yards and two
interceptions on ten of nineteen passing. Now he's on the
road at Athens. I think he's in trouble. I think
Georgia runs away with this one. So I will take
Georgia to cover the twenty and a half points.

Speaker 1 (04:27):
All right, big number, but yeah, as long as it
stays blow that key number. You're getting getting the best
of the number, Jesse. If this happens to move to
twenty one and a half, stay off or do you
think this isn't just an outright ass kicking.

Speaker 3 (04:40):
If it moves past that key number, I would say
take the first half because that'll that won't move through
the key number. It's at eleven and a half right now,
and I've got a free pick up on the site.
It's not going to go past thirteen and a half.
So as long as it's under fourteen for the first half,
go that route.

Speaker 2 (04:58):
Let's take a look at some teams too, fade. I
know you're fading.

Speaker 1 (05:02):
I don't even need to ask one of the teams.
Kind of surprising here. Let's talk Notre Dame, let's talk Louisville.
What don't you like about these teams this week?

Speaker 3 (05:12):
Well, let's start with Notre Dame, and they're gonna be
a twenty and a half point favorite at home against
Boise State. And I believe that this line it's been
met up. It opened at seventeen and a half. I
think this line is moving as a result of last
week's game against Arkansas. Of course, Notre Dame very impressive
putting up a fifty burger against the Razorbacks on the road,

(05:36):
But that's one game. If you take that game away,
this Notre Dame team struggles. They gave up thirty points
to Purdue, They gave up a boatload of points to
Texas A and M. They lost in Week one at Miami.
I don't think this Notre Dame defense is as good
as it was last year. I mean, it's glaringly obvious
that it isn't. And Boise State, I think they're The

(06:00):
opinion of Boise State is also influenced by one game
they lost in Week one at South Florida. You take
that game away, and they've been as advertised. They're scoring
points in bunches. They're giving up a lot of points
as well. But that was the same story last year.
They looked to me very much like last year's team
that clingched a first round by in the playoffs and

(06:22):
ended up losing to Penn State as an eleven and
a half point dog at a neutral site, And that
game was actually a little bit closer than the final
score would indicate. Boise State actually had an edge in
first downs. Boise State had an edge in total yards
four twelve to three eighty seven. It was the turnovers

(06:46):
that doomed them in that game. Turned the ball over
four times and only got one back, and Penn State
scored late to cover the eleven and a half. But
thirty four to fourteen is well within this twenty and
a half number. And I just think this line has
been bet up far too People will look at Boise

(07:06):
State and say they lost Ashton genty. Clearly they're not
going to be as good. I just want to point
out Ashton gent last year average seven yards per Carrie.
Dylan Riley, his protege, the guy backing him up or
the guy replacing him, is averaging seven and a half
yards per Carrie. So far, Boise State's running game has
no issues. And I think Boise State keeps this one

(07:29):
a little closer than three touchdowns.

Speaker 2 (07:34):
All right, good stuff. Let's see how's.

Speaker 1 (07:39):
You had a brutal, brutal beat on Alabama?

Speaker 2 (07:43):
Do you want to you want to commiserate because I've
had some brutal team total losses justice? Do you want
to bring it in?

Speaker 4 (07:50):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (07:50):
I guess I should have bet on Alabama instead of
betting on their team total over twenty four and a half.
You know, when they scored twenty four in the first half,
I thought I was gold with my five percent play,
but apparently not. Apparently that just didn't work out at all.
So what can I say about that? Yeah, that was unfortunate,

(08:11):
to say the least.

Speaker 2 (08:13):
Well, let's let's move to this Louisville team.

Speaker 1 (08:17):
You got minus seven and a half. What's what are
you not liking about them?

Speaker 5 (08:21):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (08:21):
Some fonder memories here, because of course we had Virginia
plus the what was it two thirty five again as
a money line dog against Florida State, and when asked
if we're taking the points, I think I said, hell no,
give me a Virginia outright. It was a great spot
for Virginia. But you know, situational handicapping. You look at

(08:42):
a big upset like that over Florida State. Now they
go on the road at Louisville. This looks like a
letdown spot. But I'm not buying it. This Louisville team
is four and oh, Virginia's four and when Virginia should
be five and oh they blew a big lead late
against NC State on the road in their last game.
It's a close game decided by one score. I think

(09:04):
they can keep this one within one score. Louisville hasn't
played anybody, and if you thought that Pitt was somebody,
I just don't think Pitt's that good. And last week's
win over Pitt thirty four to twenty seven, Pitt led
by double digits at halftime. Pitt dominated the box score
in that game, but they gave. They gave the game

(09:27):
to Louisville. Five turnovers in that game allowed Louisville to
win a close game. I don't think we can expect
that here against a Virginia team that's really humming along offensively.
And you look at the two quarterbacks in this game.
Miller Moss, I think there's a reason why he's no
longer at USC. He's struggled so far at Louisville. I mean,

(09:48):
considering the week schedule, a thousand yards, one twenty nine yards,
five touchdowns and three interceptions. Not very impressive from Miller Moss.
You'd expect him to have double digit touchdowns given the
schedule that Louisville's played. And on the other end, for Virginia,
Chandler Morris, He's coming off that big year at North Texas.

(10:09):
Last year, this guy played for Oklahoma TCU. He's been
around the block and he looks great again. At Virginia,
he's thrown for twelve hundred and seventy nine yards, ten touchdowns,
four interceptions, fresh off that upset over Florida State. Yeah,
give me, give me Virginia again. Take the points seven

(10:29):
and a half, and we'll sprinkle on the money line
as well.

Speaker 2 (10:32):
I love it, love it, going right back to your
bread and butter.

Speaker 1 (10:35):
Good stuff, Jesse. It's five dollars Tuesday. What do you
have up for everyone at wager talking?

Speaker 3 (10:39):
I have not one, but two wild card games in
Major League Baseball. I got a five percenter that goes
off really quite shortly, actually, the Cleveland Detroit game, and
then I've got the Yankees Red Sox later on.

Speaker 1 (10:55):
All right, great stuff, Jesse, Thank you very much. Great breakdowns.
Always love it's fade Tuesday when Jesse comes on. So
all right, thank you very much, Jesse. Everyone, all right,
we're gonna bring on Brian Paul.

Speaker 2 (11:09):
Come on, Paul.

Speaker 1 (11:10):
We have to have a little bit of fun here.
Paul says, Bro, nobody cares about college football on a Monday.

Speaker 2 (11:16):
It's a great thing. It's a Tuesday. No much love,
Paul Love. So thank you everyone in the chat. We
are going to get to baseball.

Speaker 1 (11:25):
That's why we want to bring on Brian Power right
this very second. So Brian, Happy Tuesday.

Speaker 2 (11:33):
I like that shirt.

Speaker 6 (11:34):
Thank you man, thank you.

Speaker 7 (11:36):
I was just mess our good friend Dan Alexander. How
I'm a little dressed up. I'm going out to watch
Game one, the game that I'm not ready to talk about.
We are talking about baseball year in just a little
bit and laughing here com well wage your talk account, clapping.

Speaker 6 (11:52):
Back, going with a little analytics. I love that. There's
nothing I love more than not clapping back analytics. There
we go.

Speaker 1 (12:00):
All right, let's do it. Let's talk about the Tigers
and the Guardians. The chatters alive yesterday talking about this one.

Speaker 2 (12:05):
So where do you weigh in on this game?

Speaker 5 (12:08):
Well, look, there's only one place to start, Andy, and
I know a lot of people know this, but it
is the logical starting point for the handicap, and that
is the Guardian's historical rally to win the Al Central.
They trailed the Tigers by as many as fifteen and
a half games in early July.

Speaker 6 (12:22):
Even as it is recently.

Speaker 5 (12:23):
As early September, the Guards playoff chances were below three
percent and they were still eleven games back. But we
all know what's happened since Cleveland's won nineteen of their
final twenty three regular season games, including five and one
head to head versus Detroit, who absolutely cratered lost thirteen
of their last sixteen overall.

Speaker 6 (12:41):
How did the Guards do it? You ask Andy?

Speaker 5 (12:44):
Well, over the last twenty five games, they allowed just
fifty six total runs. Just fifty six total runs in
twenty five games. You're gonna win a lot of baseball
doing that, easily the fewest number of runs allowed in
all of MLB during that time. You going in the
final day of the regular season. I apologize for not
having updated numbers, but going into that final game, the

(13:05):
er of the Cleveland staff guys in the month of
September was nearly a full run lower than the second
best team. So pitching certainly carried the Guardians to the Pennant,
no doubt about it.

Speaker 6 (13:18):
Interestingly enough, and.

Speaker 5 (13:20):
I think people sometimes roll their eyes when I reference
run differential, So get ready to roll your eyes, guys,
because I'm gonna talk run differential. The Guardians are just
the sixth team in baseball history, excluding COVID and strike seasons,
to win a division and have a negative year to
date run differential. Only two of the previous five won
their previous when their first playoff series, although the eighty

(13:41):
seven Twins, if anyone remembers that team, they did win
the World Series.

Speaker 6 (13:44):
For those keeping score at home.

Speaker 5 (13:45):
Now, from a betting perspective, what is interesting is despite
all I have just said, Andy Tiger's still the favorite
to win this series. So there's perhaps lingering skepticism of
the Guardians. Already mentioned the run differential, Well, the Guards
are also eighth in WRC plus. By that metric, they
have just two above average hitters. There was an incredible
I'll give a shout out, there was an incredible article

(14:07):
on Fangrafts. It was titled name a Third Guards Guardians
position Player. It talked about just how just historically inept
this lineup is for, you know, a playoff team. I'm
not going to disagree, and for what it's worth, you know,
I know the Tigers, the sky is falling in Detroit
right now, but they did win one more game this

(14:29):
year compared to last. Obviously, they were the hot team
entering the postseason. Last year, when these teams met in
the LDS, you could argue the Tigers from the hottest
team in baseball, a sneaky difference for the Tigers. However,
this year they have more power in the lineup. I
will say that, But clearly the key for Game one
is having Trek scuobl on the mounds School's face Cleveland
four times this year. Guys, He's allowed only four runs

(14:52):
total in twenty eight innings pitch. So safe to say
Tigers have a big edge in starting pitching this afternoon
as Cleveland goes with Gavin Williams, who's walk rate and
dra are major concerns for me. But Andy Tigers were
two for two or just two and two, pardon me,
in those four schooble starts against the Guardians this year.

Speaker 6 (15:09):
They lost the last two.

Speaker 5 (15:10):
So a logical bet for Game one would seem to
be to take the Tigers on the first five run line.
That if you go back a week when I was
with you here on this very show last Tuesday, I
broke these when these teams were playing here in Cleveland,
I said to take the Tigers first five run line.
Sure enough, they led one nothing after five, but then
the wheels came off when Cleveland had a three run

(15:31):
rally in the six Despite not hitting a ball out
of the infield, Guardians did score the second fewest runs
at home this season. So no reason to believe that
Schooble's not gonna pitch well in this spot.

Speaker 6 (15:40):
But can we trust the Tigers team right now? I
don't know.

Speaker 5 (15:43):
Therefore, after all of that, your free play for Game
one is going to be Scooble to record over eighteen
and a half outs. That means he'd have to go
at least six and the third innings. I don't think
that's asking much. Tigers are gonna lean heavily on their
ace this afternoon. Earlier in the year he went nine innings. Again,
it's this Cleveland team in a game that went to extras.
I just think if there's one thing we can count on,

(16:04):
guys for Game one, it's that scooball will be a
big part of it. I'll say this Andy, If this
prop does not hit, Tigers are probably in.

Speaker 2 (16:14):
A lot of trumble. I was out in New York
with my buddy.

Speaker 1 (16:19):
We went to the Ryder Cup and he actually has
a ticket on the Guardians to make the playoffs from
a few weeks ago.

Speaker 2 (16:26):
WHOA, yeah, it was it was he.

Speaker 1 (16:29):
Had he had a long run on the Tigers to
win the division, and he's like a few weeks ago,
I just I was like, I had this feeling there
was something about the Guardians. I was like, I gotta
get in their head. So he has this monster cash
on the Guardians.

Speaker 2 (16:42):
It was incredible.

Speaker 5 (16:44):
I'll say this here in Cleveland, there's tempered enthusiasm about
this team. I mean it's I legitimately have no idea
how this team made the playoffs. I talked about the pitching,
but it's insane. I mean, they clinched the playoffs by Andy.
I don't know if you saw this Saturday night. Obviously
there's a lot of college football going on at the time.
I had one of my TV's on the game.

Speaker 2 (17:01):
Though.

Speaker 5 (17:01):
They clinched the playoff spot with a game. They scored
the game winning run by on a hit by pitch
after Texas intentionally walked the bases loaded. That's how it's
been that kind of run for the Guardians. They get
the bases loaded, next guy up gets hit by a pitch.

Speaker 6 (17:16):
Next thing you know, you're in the playoffs. It's crazy.

Speaker 2 (17:19):
That's wild, It's wild.

Speaker 1 (17:20):
Yeah, let's talk just a little bit about Thursday night football.
We always want to see if there is a way
we can get out ahead of the number man.

Speaker 2 (17:27):
We got injuries galore on the forty nine Ers.

Speaker 1 (17:30):
Let's listen to a podcast and someone was like, can
they just take the week off the forty nine Ersy,
we can't field the team.

Speaker 2 (17:37):
We only got so many roster spots. What do you
look at?

Speaker 1 (17:40):
What this Thursday night game? Forty nine Ers Rams? You
get the Rams, it's five and a half point favorites
over under forty seven.

Speaker 6 (17:46):
I'll be a little more succinct with this one.

Speaker 2 (17:48):
There's just so much to.

Speaker 5 (17:49):
Talk about with the Tigers and Guardians there, but this one. Look,
so this is the third week in a row, Andy,
I'm breaking down the Thursday night matchup with you here
on wager Talk today. Not to toot my own, I
did get the previous two right, said to bet the
Bills team total over thirty and a half versus the Dolphins,
and then last week I said, wait, the line will
flip and we could tease the Cardinals up to seven.

Speaker 2 (18:09):
And a half.

Speaker 6 (18:09):
The line flipped, we could tease the Cardinals up to
seven and a half and that was good.

Speaker 5 (18:13):
So for forty nine Ers Rams this week we've got
a situation where the line has been adjusted. Obviously, you
mentioned the cavalcade of injuries for the forty nine Ers there,
and they could be without quarterback Rock Purty. It seems
to be the case every season, but the Niners are
just always banged up each and what is going on
with their training staff, you know, is do they not?

Speaker 6 (18:35):
I don't know.

Speaker 5 (18:35):
It's crazy how they're always one of the most injured
teams in the league.

Speaker 6 (18:40):
As luck what happened.

Speaker 5 (18:41):
I faded them on Sunday, San Francisco. In fact, Jaguars
plus three and a half was my four percent game
of the week. Got the outright win there thanks to
some turnovers and a punt return for a touchdown. Forty
nine are still three and one, but it's a shaky
three in one. Their three wins have been by a
total of ten points.

Speaker 2 (18:55):
Guys.

Speaker 5 (18:56):
Meanwhile, if not for that ridiculous second half collapse against
the Eagles, Dan, the Rams would be coming into this
game for four and so they were went back to
business against the Colts, racked up four sixty two total
yards six points, six yards per play, and that win.
Rams are gonna come in as a more confident team.
They're four to zero ats the last two years against

(19:17):
the Niners. Won both meetings last year straight up. But
I am not particularly interested in laying the points here
in this game.

Speaker 6 (19:25):
I'll be honest.

Speaker 5 (19:25):
I don't think there's that big of a drop between
Perdy and mac Jones so Bosa that is significant on
the defensive side of the ball. I talked about my
Jaguars right up at the forty nine ers record. When
Bosa doesn't play, it's not so good. Still, Kyle Shanahan
as an underdog historically has been very good. I will
say this, forty nine Ers, it's not often you can
bet him for plus five and a half. Andy Lang

(19:46):
right now, put a gun to my head. I'll take
the points with San Francisco. I think this is a
Bilow spot on them. They have not been an underdog
this season, and I don't think they'd be an underdog
of five and a half against any other team the
rest of the year.

Speaker 1 (20:00):
The Karma Gods, the the NFL gods definitely made up
for the for the Rams Eagles by what they did
to the Colts. I mean the Rams, how did how
did they cover? They should even one?

Speaker 5 (20:13):
The second year in a row, the Colts had a
I don't have to tell you. I don't want to,
you know, rub Saltan was second year in a row
though a fumble through the end zone. I was on
the one last year when Jonathan Taylor did it. I
believe it was against the Broncos if memory serves me correct.
And that was far more ridiculous than what we saw Sunday.
Was the one that just happened with the receiver on Sunday.

(20:33):
That was just that just seemed like kind of fluky.
The other one, Taylor was being dumb.

Speaker 2 (20:37):
So see that's what I said.

Speaker 1 (20:39):
Now the crack man was like, no, he's an idiot,
he's a more And I was like, I didn't think
it was that.

Speaker 4 (20:43):
It just seemed weird. Yeah.

Speaker 5 (20:44):
It wasn't like he was, you know, doing Sean Jackson. No,
it just it just seemed like one of those things.

Speaker 2 (20:49):
Man.

Speaker 1 (20:50):
Yeah, all right, well we got a huge day of baseball.
It's five dollars Tuesday. What do you have up for everyone?

Speaker 6 (20:55):
I have a lot of right now.

Speaker 5 (20:57):
As luck would have it, Andy, we're coming off a
nice week, winning week in the NFL. And but let's
talk college right now. We're disappointing two and three in
college on Saturday, but we're busting out the big guns
this week.

Speaker 6 (21:09):
Guys already post it on my page. Five percent max bet.

Speaker 2 (21:15):
These are rare.

Speaker 5 (21:15):
I do not do a lot of five percent plays.
I have a five percent up right now. I also,
as part of the five dollars Tuesday promotion of a
second college football play up for this weekend. You can
get it for guess what, only five dollars today only.
So that's a five percent play I've got up in
college football for Saturday, and a four percent best bet
for only five dollars today only. In addition to that,

(21:36):
for this afternoon, you're looking to bet something this afternoon,
I have a two for one combo Major League Baseball
it's not the Guardians Tigers game, and then Champions League
as well. So a lot going on over at WT
dot Buzz slash bp Andy.

Speaker 2 (21:52):
All right, tell theyone about the blitz.

Speaker 5 (21:55):
It's on Thursday following you immediately live one pm Eastern, myself, Ross, Benjamin,
Ralph Michaels.

Speaker 6 (22:00):
We will talk the entire card. We will talk any
game you ask us.

Speaker 5 (22:03):
Obviously we will hit all of the big matchups each
and every week. But if you if you guys are
watching live, if there's a hey, I don't care what
game it is, it doesn't matter how off the wall is,
even if it's an FCS game. You guys want to
come in say hey, what do you guys think of
this game? Just tune in live one pm Eastern. Will
be happy to answer.

Speaker 1 (22:19):
All right, Brian Power, everyone five dollars Tuesday at wage
you talk, go check him out. Let's do let's do
kind of it, Let's do all around the world, and
a little bit of a steam report, because I know
we've got some questions about baseball and can we do
some baseball?

Speaker 2 (22:33):
So I just tell you there's really.

Speaker 1 (22:35):
Not a whole lot of line movement going on in
any of these baseball games.

Speaker 2 (22:39):
The the Detroit Tigers are taking.

Speaker 1 (22:41):
A smidge of money, nothing enough to really move the line.

Speaker 2 (22:45):
The total is stayed steady.

Speaker 1 (22:48):
Same with the Padres and the Cubs, same same with
Boston New York. Really a little bit of money has
come in on the Dodgers to move the line about
five cents. A little bit of money on the over.
It's opened at seven. You'll see some books at seven
and a half. There's really not a whole lot of
steam going on in baseball today, nothing with a lot
of conviction.

Speaker 2 (23:08):
So let's go to all around the world here.

Speaker 1 (23:09):
We do have some free plays here, and I'll go
to the Wager Talk Free picks page.

Speaker 2 (23:14):
And give you guys some more baseball here.

Speaker 1 (23:16):
So we'll start with soccer here. This comes from Pavlos.
He does great on these weird props. Champions League Chelsea
versus Benfica over four and a half cards. He had
six cards in regulation the last time they played, and
I love this. He knows the official Daniel Siebert averages
five cards per match, and the last game he officiated Benfica,

(23:36):
he gave out nine cards, so we're looking at over
four and a half cards in that game. Do a
player prop in the Yankees and the Red Sox, John
color Stanton under half a hit.

Speaker 2 (23:46):
You're getting plus money on this.

Speaker 1 (23:48):
He has a hit in five straight games, but he
has seven at bats against Crochet. He has a home run,
but he also has five k's. You're getting good value
on this. Don't be surprised if they pitch around him.

Speaker 2 (23:57):
If the situation works out for it that way.

Speaker 1 (24:00):
So we have a very very low total minimum number
of bats at Chrish one point zero three whip the season.
So kind of contrary in there, bubble take Stateton to
go underhit Padres and the Cubs. A lot of free
picks on the wager Talk free picks page on this
one taking the Padres. Paveta has been really good last
time he faced this Cubs team six innings, one run

(24:23):
boyd for the Cubs five point five to zero e
r A in the last nine games. So I think
there's kind of a consensus here that the Padres are
a really good value and Tokyo Brandon likes a little
bit of an obscure play the Reds to go over
two and a half team totally wants to fade this bullpen.

Speaker 2 (24:43):
So yeah, so that's about it we have.

Speaker 1 (24:46):
But again, not a not a lot of not a
lot of big line movement. And we did the Yankees
and Red Sox yesterday, So if you want that breakdown,
Steve Merrill did that on on the on the show yesterday.
So all right, let's bring in my good friend Lawrence Presman.

Speaker 2 (25:02):
All right, what's up, brother?

Speaker 6 (25:06):
Uh?

Speaker 2 (25:06):
Act nice work.

Speaker 4 (25:07):
Andy. I'm enjoying so much watching you right now. This
show is going really great man. Congratulations, appreciate it.

Speaker 2 (25:16):
We have a new intro. So the intro went over well.

Speaker 1 (25:20):
In fact, we had a we had a we had
people submit new intros as they should good and and
and you'll you'll you'll laugh at this.

Speaker 2 (25:28):
The winner we can't use it.

Speaker 1 (25:29):
But the funniest one was someone said start the show
with welcome to wager Talk today, it's time to bang
with Andy Lang, and that person it was so creative
he got sent some wager bucks.

Speaker 2 (25:41):
It was. It was too funny.

Speaker 1 (25:43):
I love to.

Speaker 4 (25:46):
Listen. We we got, we got, we got some stuff
to take care of before we get into the segment.
And I got some betting information coming your way. Uh.
And I do want to just start by saying this,
it's been a little bit of a rough couple of
months at wager Talk in regards to fathers. Chris Allen,

(26:09):
who is an absolutely exceptional worker at wager Talk, handles
our YouTube channel. His father is a jockey and was
kicked off of a horse and found himself paralyzed. He
is now moving both his arms and his legs, but
it has been very hard for him, and our thoughts

(26:30):
and prayers go out with Chris. Joe Ranieri's dad is
not doing well either, and our thoughts go out to Joe.
My dad is having issues as well. But Paula and Missy,
our customer service team, lost their father late last night.
And I never had the opportunity to meet this man.

(26:53):
And this is Johnny Detroit's father in law. But I
can tell you that most people do not speak highly
of their in laws. Johnny used to tell me how
much he loved this man and how great he was
to the family and the girls and his kids. Paula

(27:14):
and Missy are part of our team. Missy handle's customer service,
so does Paula. Paula is the wife of Johnny. And
it's like, I am so heartbroken. This was unexpected as
a wonderful man with wonderful kids. I am emotional, I
am godded, and we're all getting older in life. Guys,

(27:35):
call your dad, kiss your dad, give your dad a hug.
I'm a dad. Paula and Missy. My heart goes out
to both of you, guys. Lots of love, Rip your grandfather,
your father, and let's hope with some better news. Moving forward.

Speaker 1 (27:50):
Andy, Yeah, we need some positive vibes around here. We
need we need to get some positive vibes going.

Speaker 4 (27:57):
So, so that's said. You were at the Ryder Cup
this week, and I want to know this England created.

Speaker 1 (28:06):
Golf, right, I think it was Scotland, but well let's
go with Scotland.

Speaker 4 (28:12):
Okay, America is so good that the country that started
golf had to go get twenty other countries to form
an all star team. What the hell is going on
with this? This is the dumbest event on the freaking planet.

(28:34):
Bro Okay, Germany is not an ally with Spain and
France and England have been warring for decades? What is
for centuries not decades? What the hell is going on?
This is the most made up nonsense in the world.

(28:55):
Who's up next the Vanawatu and the islands of their Like?
How is this thing even a competition?

Speaker 1 (29:08):
I mean, it's one of the best competitions, Like it's
I don't know, I don't I don't have an answer
for it. All I know is it was a bucket
list of mine.

Speaker 2 (29:18):
And I will be honest.

Speaker 1 (29:19):
I went on Friday, we got we got, we got
seats at the grand stands at the second hole, and
I'm so glad I went.

Speaker 2 (29:28):
I had a blast.

Speaker 1 (29:29):
It was one of the best sporting event days I've had.
I will never go to another Ryder Cup. It is
the worst sporting event to watch live in person. There's
only four groups on Friday and Saturday, and there were
fifty thousand people at this event. You cannot watch any gone.
There's too many people. So we got we got lucky.

(29:51):
We had sweets, so we watched for a couple hours,
and then we just went and hung out in the
suites with.

Speaker 2 (29:56):
Free drinks and food all day. So where we did.

Speaker 4 (30:00):
Yeah. So I would never go to a golf tournament ever.
And watching people play golf would be the equivalent of
watching people have sex. I'm not interested in either. I
want to do it, not watch. It makes no sense
to me. But kudos to this famous country of Europe
that feat America. Well done all of and it's not

(30:22):
even all of Europe, right, Like it's like it can't
choose which parts of Europe anyway? Yes, totally not your nonsense, Andy, uh.

Speaker 1 (30:32):
Well, I will tell you when you have a head
to head bet bet on a couple guys and they're
playing in the same group.

Speaker 2 (30:39):
It's it's a lot of fun. I'll tell you this.

Speaker 1 (30:41):
We had a bet against Cameron Champs, Cameron Champ versus
Jason Cochrak, and we were following them around and there
were these three women that were following and uh, we
were like, hey, you.

Speaker 2 (30:50):
Know, why are you just curious? Why are you why
are you following them around?

Speaker 1 (30:52):
And it was like, this is Cameron Champ's mom, sister,
and girlfriend. And we were like, wow, we have big
bets against your son and.

Speaker 2 (30:58):
Your brother and your boyfriend. He's not very good, so
we bet big against him. But they couldn't have been nicer.
So I have to tell you this.

Speaker 1 (31:07):
I've gone plenty of golf tournaments and I am convinced
the best souvenir to get at a sporting event.

Speaker 2 (31:16):
Is a mug.

Speaker 1 (31:18):
Okay, it's better than clothing, it's better than glad.

Speaker 2 (31:23):
Here's the case.

Speaker 1 (31:24):
You can use it on every day and it's one
of the cheapest and least expensive things in the shop.
It's not very big, it fits in your cupboard and
you can get different colors, shape sizes at each event.

Speaker 4 (31:39):
So my case to you, you buy Andy Lang's mug
promotional company. You can get mugs from Andy Lag for
only one dollar. Use the promo code.

Speaker 1 (31:52):
Yeah, Handsome Mug. I should just I should call my
company Handsome Mugs. But anyway, mug is the single bestir
that you can get adding a sporting event.

Speaker 2 (32:03):
That's my case.

Speaker 1 (32:04):
All right, all right, Lawrence, you have you have the
London game, the Vikings and the Browns. Nothing says excitement
like a game that starts early in the morning with
an over under at thirty seven and a half, I
think we're down to thirty six. You got it's Carson
Wentz versus. I don't know if it's gonna be Joe Flacco.

(32:26):
I don't know if it's gonna be Dylan Gabriel. This total,
this total is insane. Thirty six in an NFL game.
What's your breakdown on this game?

Speaker 4 (32:37):
Brother? I just want to let everybody know we're going
to be talking about him more insane total next. But
let me break this down real quick. I like Minnesota.
I like Minnesota up to four. I like the under
in the game, but I really like under sixteen and
a half points for the Cleveland Browns. And I don't
care who plays quarterback here. This Minnesota team is deadly

(33:00):
and this from a defensive perspective, this is a good unit,
a top five unit, and this Cleveland Browns team can
knot get out of their own way. Andy, you know,
you look at it and you say, how are they
going to get to seventeen points? This Cleveland team put
up ten against Detroit, thirteen against Green Bay, seventeen against Baltimore,

(33:22):
and sixteen against Cincinnati. Cincinnati's defense is horrible. Detroit, you
should be able to score on it's indoors, and their
defense isn't great. They have gone under this number three
out of four times this year. So I think there
are three bets available here. You've got a Minnesota team
that's sitting and waiting in Europe. Is a horrible spot

(33:45):
for the Cleveland Browns. They go to Detroit. Now they're
going to go to Europe. They're going to have time
zone issues, jet lag issues, quarterback issues, running back issues,
wide receiver issues. We're at the point now where they
have coaching issues, their uniforms have issues. So yeah, I

(34:06):
like Minnesota minus four. I like the under in the game,
but my favorite bet is under sixteen and a half
team total of Cleveland. I don't understand how that game
is going. I feel bad for the fans who are
gonna pay money to see this Cleveland Browns team.

Speaker 1 (34:26):
You know, I think you could just say they have
Brown's issues, and that just kind of encompasses everything. Whenever
you say like they have Brown's issues, Okay, quarterback, running back,
wide receiver, organizational owners, uniforms issues, it's just Browns the issues.

Speaker 4 (34:42):
So sand Fran Niner or one of our listeners, by
the way, nice to see you, brother. He was on
our show on Sunday, the End Zone. He writes, no way,
when's escaping Garrett. I don't know what that means. Is
Garrett gonna get a sack? Sure?

Speaker 2 (34:54):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (34:55):
Is he gonna get four sacks? Who knows? Well, he
set the record of se a game. Maybe. I don't
see what relevance that has to these bets.

Speaker 2 (35:07):
So I think he's just throwing out a good player prop.

Speaker 4 (35:10):
Yeah, well that's not so. Garrett Sack is not a
good player prop. And we went through this last week
with the Mica minus one forty. But he did get it.
He did get it. Yeah, stay away from sack props please, guys,
if you want to make some money on a regular base.
Houston versus the Ravens. Shall we just take the show
over and answer all questions?

Speaker 2 (35:32):
Sure? Put them there. That's it's not Houston, it's Hustin.

Speaker 4 (35:36):
Well, I like the Ravens here Andy that we've seen
a bet down a minus three out there, and I
think the Ravens and minus three with Rush behind quarterback
is a better bet than the Ravens minus nine and
a half with Lamar behind quarterback. I am worried about
the defense obviously in the Baltimore game, but I think

(35:58):
this Houston team is really really bad. So there you go.
I like the Baltimore Ravens minus three.

Speaker 2 (36:06):
I'll go head to head with you.

Speaker 1 (36:07):
The Ravens are decimatedfense on defense, I'll take Hustin.

Speaker 4 (36:13):
Should we should we bet an eyebrow. I'm trying to
find somebody to bet an.

Speaker 1 (36:17):
Ibroys as two people that host shows YouTube channel.

Speaker 2 (36:23):
I don't think Johnny would would be that happy about this.

Speaker 4 (36:27):
Listen, I got it. I got a really strong college
football bet I wanted to give out and it's.

Speaker 1 (36:33):
I love this bet. I love this bet. Let's go
over this bet. This is a great one.

Speaker 4 (36:38):
So Kent State is playing Oklahoma this weekend and Oklahoma
just shot out a team. Can they shot out two
teams in a row? Kent State's team total is three
and a half. Andy, I swear to you you did
not mishear me. If Kent State gets two safeties, they

(37:04):
cover this total. If they get one field goal and
a rouge, they cover this total. Two field goals they
cover this total. The bottom line here, Andy, is this
Kent State team has put up ten points in each
of their games so far this year. They did it
against ranked teams. They did it against Tent Texas Tech,
they did it against Florida State. Now you have an

(37:26):
Oklahoma team whose quarterback is injured. Does that matter? Not
really for the sense of the line. I think Oklahoma
is gonna blow them away. I think this is gonna
be a complete blowout. But I think we're gonna have
scrubs on Oklahoma by the fourth quarter. And I think
there's gonna be an opportunity for Kent State to march

(37:47):
down the field and get one single touchdown. They don't
even need the extra point. This game has a blowout
written all over it, which tells us we're gonna have
a wide open, revolving back door. Three and a half Andy,
please take the over.

Speaker 1 (38:04):
I love this bet. I love obscure bets like that.
You know, you know, I'm excited about this one.

Speaker 2 (38:10):
This is great.

Speaker 4 (38:11):
Well, you know, I mean, this is what we do, right,
We unearthed these bets. That's how we that's how we
become really great bettters. So yeah, I love that bet.
I put it up on the free pick page over
Wage you're talking, you guys want to check that out.

Speaker 2 (38:26):
I saw it. I saw it. That was great.

Speaker 1 (38:28):
I loved the way I love and I saw you're
gonna talk about it. So all right, Lawrence, It's always
good to see you.

Speaker 2 (38:34):
Talk about it.

Speaker 4 (38:35):
You gotta promote.

Speaker 2 (38:36):
Yeah, absolutely, Okay.

Speaker 4 (38:38):
So firstly, today's show, The Best Betting Show Ever with
Joe and Airy Art to Caesar is a masterpiece. Art
to Caesar. Joe and I talk about all the one
in three NFL teams, whether you should fade or bet
them there are seven of them currently. We do it
really deep dive into that. And also so we spend

(39:01):
a lot of time on Joe ran Are's dating profile.
So make sure to check that show out. The Best
Betting Show Ever, We do it every single day. It's
up now at wager Talk TV. It's a beautiful show
to watch before and after wager Talk today. That's number one,
number two, it's five dollars Tuesdays. I have a four

(39:23):
percent NFL total up. I went two to zero in
my totals in NFL this week, and Andy, I am
nineteen and nine in NFL betting on the season. That's
sixty eight percent. I'm the second most profitable handicapper over
at wager Talk behind Gianni, our high volume machine. And

(39:44):
I just came off of a five and one NFL week,
so I got a four percent total.

Speaker 2 (39:50):
It's five bucks.

Speaker 4 (39:50):
I also have a baseball playoff. It's five bucks. I
got a college football five percenter as well, but that
is not on a discount. Uh. That's it, brother. I
gotta go see the dentist again today, and I'm going
to a tattoo artist to start working on my next.

Speaker 2 (40:10):
It's a Dave.

Speaker 1 (40:11):
So you're dental work and tattoos. That sounds like quite
a Tuesday.

Speaker 4 (40:18):
Yeah, And I got hockey tonight. Nice, Go Jays, Go Jays.

Speaker 2 (40:23):
All right, go Jays.

Speaker 1 (40:25):
Lawrence Presman, everyone, all right, let's go over Contender series.
To close out the show. My five dollars play is
Contender Series. And by the way, I gotta give a
shout out. So my play lost last week, my five
dollars play and we do a live show. We watched
Contender Series live. We got absolutely robbed by the judges.
It was so bad that even the announcers like, We're like, no,

(40:48):
the judges gave it, gave it to the wrong person.

Speaker 2 (40:50):
That's not who won the fight.

Speaker 1 (40:52):
Dana White even got up there and was like, yeah,
the judges messed up the women's fight. Normally we catch
a bunch of you know, nonsense to play loses.

Speaker 2 (41:00):
We had so many people.

Speaker 1 (41:01):
Reach out and say, hey, that play was really good,
that should have won, that should have been a cash.

Speaker 2 (41:05):
The handicap was really good.

Speaker 1 (41:07):
So shout out to everyone that recognized that even though
a play lost, we did the work and we did
the handicap.

Speaker 2 (41:13):
Results weren't there. So we're back at it today.

Speaker 1 (41:15):
It's a five dollars play on Contender Series, so go
grab that WT dot Buzz slash al. There's a free
play as well up on the free picks page. But
we're looking forward to cashing that five dollars play and
we will be live tonight watching Contender Series.

Speaker 2 (41:27):
On the Winning in the Shadows YouTube channel.

Speaker 1 (41:29):
So if you want to watch the fights live with us,
get some live bets in, you can do that. So
all right, let's take a look at the contender series
lines tonight. We only got a couple more weeks here,
so I look at these fights and then I try
and make the case for the underdog. So we'll start
with the big favorite here, Vagaboff versus Da Silva. Vagaboff

(41:52):
is gonna get or he's gonna try takedowns.

Speaker 2 (41:54):
He's probably gonna get him.

Speaker 1 (41:55):
The case for Days Silva is that he's somehow able
to stuff the first couple takedowns and get a knockout
on the feet. I don't think he's going to be
able to but if this is a striking match, Da
Silva could win. But I do think vagabav roles lines
a little two wide. Curtis Campbell and Demba sec this
is the exact same thing. Curtis Campbell's a very talented
wrestling and grappler, so slick on the ground, so slick

(42:19):
Demba Sec. I watched him get taken down, but he's
a very good striker. He's much better than Campbell. So
again he's got a stuff those first couple of takedowns.
He can work the jab and get a striking going.
That's the case for sec Christopher Alvidrez Andkubona. This Kubonza guy, Dan,
this guy his first few professional fights. We're in a

(42:41):
league that's no holds barred, no rules, anything goes, so
to say that this fight is going to be a
car crash would be an understatement. The case for Alvidrez
is he's a very talented striker. He's got a lot
of first round finishes. These guys are going to strike.
They had the most intense face off I've seen this season.
Look for unders in this one, but Alvidrez can absolutely

(43:03):
knock out anybody that fights on Contender Series. The case
for Magno Diaz is that he can get takedowns as well.
There's not a lot of film on them, but this
is Charles Jordayne's brother, Luis Jordaane Jordaan's much taller. Sometimes
that can be to your detriment if you're blocking takedowns.
So if dis gets us on the ground, he can
absolutely win, and then this is gonna be the most violent.

Speaker 2 (43:27):
Fight of the night, maybe of the season.

Speaker 1 (43:31):
Damien Pinas and Vitar Costa don't blink in this one.
These are two heavy heavy hitters. Anytime you get a
fight with two heavy heavy hitters, it's it should be
a pick them and it's pretty close. Either guy can
knock either one out. But look for this one to
not go very very far. Should be a really fun night,
so I ud Yeah, that's the name of the channel
is Winning in the Shadows. That's where we do all

(43:53):
of our live shows, So come join us. It's a
lot of fun. We do write ups on all the
fighters that get contracts. That way you can know who
these guys are when they enter the UFC. A lot
of great live bets. You learn a lot when you're
watching the live broadcast. So all right, thank you very
much everyone again. Five dollars Tuesday, All hedy kappers can
put up a play for five dollars. You've got some

(44:13):
plays for NFL this weekend. I know we got plenty
of MLB. My five dollars play is Contender Series, and
I believe we've got a couple other sports that are up.
So you want to take advantage and get as many
plays as you want. We recommend it, but always bet responsibly.
We don't want too much of our bank role to
be in play on a Tuesday, and that's going to
do it for us, and we're going to do it
again tomorrow. Thank you everyone so much for joining us.

(44:34):
Don't forget to hit the light button on your way out.
Don't forget to leave us a comment in the comment section.
Tell us what you're playing today. Good luck on your
plays today. We'll see everyone tomorrow. Take care,

Cardiac Cowboys

Cardiac Cowboys

The heart was always off-limits to surgeons. Cutting into it spelled instant death for the patient. That is, until a ragtag group of doctors scattered across the Midwest and Texas decided to throw out the rule book. Working in makeshift laboratories and home garages, using medical devices made from scavenged machine parts and beer tubes, these men and women invented the field of open heart surgery. Odds are, someone you know is alive because of them. So why has history left them behind? Presented by Chris Pine, CARDIAC COWBOYS tells the gripping true story behind the birth of heart surgery, and the young, Greatest Generation doctors who made it happen. For years, they competed and feuded, racing to be the first, the best, and the most prolific. Some appeared on the cover of Time Magazine, operated on kings and advised presidents. Others ended up disgraced, penniless, and convicted of felonies. Together, they ignited a revolution in medicine, and changed the world.
