Speaker 1 (00:00):
Welcome to Ways to Talk Today, the gold standard of
sports betting shows where we talked to.
Speaker 2 (00:04):
Talk and we walked the walk.
Speaker 1 (00:06):
It is five dollars Tuesday, Locked in for another loaded day.
Jesse Shul is gonna break down a couple of college
football teams. We always say bet on or fade. We
just know we're fading teams. So he's gonna give us
two teams that we're gonna fade. Then we're gonna break
down Michigan State Kentucky that is in college basketball. Brian
Power is gonna join us talk Pistons and the Hawks.
(00:28):
Pistons pretty interesting, polarizing team on the way to making
some pretty good strides. Dura has been really interesting, so
we'll get his talk, his thoughts on them, Kansas and
Duke Big Game talk college basketball, and then I'm gonna
break down an NBA double header featuring the Grizzlies and
the Spurs, Suns and Trailblazers, and Dan and I are
(00:49):
going to revisit our season win totals in the NFL
before the season started. We're gonna see how bad or
good we're looking. Dan, we didn't do too bad like
you can.
Speaker 2 (01:01):
Look really foolish, and we did not do too bad.
Speaker 1 (01:04):
There's only a couple that we look really dumb on.
But honestly, I think we didn't do too bad. So
Dan's gonna real his most revealing surprising thing.
Speaker 2 (01:13):
I'm gonna reveal mine. So buckle up.
Speaker 1 (01:15):
We got a great show. Please hit the like button.
Appreciate you guys for joining us in the chat. It's raining.
It's just so dreary and glooming here, but let's let's
let's rain down some winners with Jesse Schule.
Speaker 2 (01:26):
Jesse, Welcome, Happy Tuesday. How are you man?
Speaker 3 (01:30):
I'm doing well.
Speaker 4 (01:31):
Had a good week, but unfortunately last week's show I
tossed up an air ball, but that was following US
six and oh week, so U zero to two last week?
You know, we gave a little bit back.
Speaker 2 (01:43):
Is what it is.
Speaker 1 (01:46):
It happens the best in the world. You have fifty
five percent. This means we're gonna lose forty five percent
of the time. But let's get off to the winning
start here. Give us two football teams to fade. We're
gonna fade them hard. We're gonna win this one. Let's
start with Vandy. What do you not like about Vandy.
Speaker 4 (02:03):
I think it's a great time to sell high on Vandy.
A lot of people were doubting them early in the season.
It seems like nobody's doubting them anymore. They're a nine
and a half point favorite at home against Kentucky that's
probably gonna go to ten. I like it at nine
and a half. I absolutely love it at ten. It
would probably be on my premium card if it gets there.
(02:24):
Vandy's eight and two overall, four and two in the SEC.
They've got some nice wins on the season, but they're
not exactly beating beating up SEC teams by more than
a touchdown. They've got one SEC win by more than
a touchdown this season. That came against South Carolina, and
South Carolina was without Sellers. They're starting quarterback in that game.
(02:47):
They've got a forty five thirty eight win over Auburn.
They've and they're now they're facing a Kentucky team that's
won three straight games. I had a five percent play
on Kentucky as a home dog against Florida. They won
that game thirty eight to seven. Kentucky has turned their
season around. They made a change at quarterback. Cutter Bowlie
(03:09):
has been far better than their original starter. He's thrown
for seventeen hundred and eighty yards, thirteen touchdowns, eight picks,
so he's still a little turnover prone, but at least
he's moving the ball. He's completing sixty nine percent of
his passes. If you look at previous meetings between these
two teams, Vandy won the last one twenty to thirteen
(03:31):
at Kentucky last year. Kentucky won forty five to twenty
eight the previous season, and Vandy won twenty four to
twenty one back in twenty twenty two at Kentucky. The
road team, I believe has won three straight in this series.
They tend to play close games. I just don't see
Vandy blowing out Kentucky the way Kentucky's playing, and Vandy,
(03:54):
you know, they had their heart set on the playoffs,
they had their heart set on Heisman Trophy for Diego Pavia.
Neither of those things are gonna happen. But all the
credit to Vandy. They've had a fantastic season. They probably
win this game, but I don't think they're covering the
nine and a half points. So we'll take Kentucky as
a live dog here, all.
Speaker 1 (04:16):
Right, we're moving on to Pitt as your next team
to fade. Why are we fading Pitt here?
Speaker 4 (04:23):
Well, Georgia Tech's only a two and a half point favorite,
and I just think Georgia Tech is the better team,
even if it's just by a little bit. Both these
teams nine wins, both these teams six and one in
the ACC. I don't know if you remember, Andy, but
back in the preseason I gave out Georgia Tech as
one of my dark horses to make the college football playoffs.
(04:45):
There was some pretty big odds on that, and it's
looking good, especially if they can win this game. I
also had Texas A and M by the way, and
Illinois Illinois out of it, but A and M obviously
looks pretty damn good as well. Georgia Tech is coming
off a bit of an oopsie daisy with a thirty
six thirty four win at Boston College. I think that's
(05:06):
a clear sign that they were looking ahead to this
the key game. I like the fact that they had
a bye week heading into that game. They came into
the into last week's game almost one hundred percent healthy,
so that boats well Pitt. They're coming off a thirty
seven to fifteen loss against Notre Dame and Norduzi kind
(05:26):
of set the quiet part out loud. Prior to that game.
A reporter asked him, is this a must win game?
And he just said, hell no, it's not an ACC game,
so it doesn't matter. So it seems like they were
taking the week off as well. But at the end
of the day, Nardouzzi versus Brent Key, there's a reason
why Brent Key is the guy who sought after and
(05:47):
mentioned for all these head coaching openings at these big schools.
I think Key is the better coach. Nardozzi's a great guy.
He fields a competitive team, but he's expected to lose
these games, keep it close and lose, and Key is
expected to win these big games. And when you look
at the quarterback comparison, you got Mason Heinchel, who's been
(06:10):
very good for a freshman. But at the other side,
you got Haines King. And this guy is just a gamer.
I don't know anybody who loves college football and doesn't
love Haines King. Haines King's more experienced. Haines King is
a bad man. He's a tough m effort. And if
Haines King and bran Key can't get this done, then
(06:31):
I don't know as much about college football as I
thought I did.
Speaker 1 (06:36):
It's amazing how our opinions can differ week to week
on teams, but they have to situational spots and like
you have to, right.
Speaker 4 (06:45):
I better get this Georgia Tech win because I just
realized that's gonna make a great clip for the haters
if I don't.
Speaker 1 (06:53):
No, Haines King is a bad man. I'm surprised he's
made it this far.
Speaker 2 (06:57):
I worry about his durability.
Speaker 1 (06:59):
But yeah, like they got that big game against Georgia
coming up that probably decides if they get in to
the playoff or night or not.
Speaker 2 (07:06):
So it's a college basketball season in full swing.
Speaker 1 (07:10):
You got Michigan State in Kentucky. What's your breakdown on
this game?
Speaker 4 (07:15):
Well, Andy, I love college basketball, but I love college
football even more so. Prior to the college football season,
I scout all the teams. I know who all the
projected starters are, and the head coaches and all the
movement and the personnel changes. I don't have time to
do that in the middle of November, in the middle
of football season for college basketball, so I'm kind of
(07:36):
learning on the fly. We're three games into the season,
so it's it's difficult. So I usually I tread lightly
with the college hoops at this time of year. A
lot of times I focus on totals, not that I
won't play side, especially with you know, top twenty five teams.
I'm certainly going to be familiar with both these teams,
although both these teams have a bit of turnover. First
(07:58):
glance at this matchup, though, you look at the number
twelve ranked Kentucky against number seventeen ranked Michigan State, and
the line kind of makes sense if you look at
it that way, a Kentucky minus four. But you look
at the Ken Palm rankings and you got Kentucky ranked
number four and Michigan State ranked number thirty three, and
at that point Kentucky minus four four and a half.
(08:21):
Last I looked there was some fours available on the board.
It really looks like an advantageous bet for the Wildcats.
I can't get there. They've got some things I like
about Kentucky. They got a pair of senior guards, one
of them Denzel Aberdeen, who was on the championship team
for Florida last year. He was a backup but he
(08:41):
played twenty minutes a game was a pretty big part
of the team. And then you've got a returner otega Oway,
senior guard that averaged sixteen points per game for Kentucky
last year, So they're really solid at the guard position.
They got a highly touted freshman center Malaka. I'm moreno,
(09:02):
they look like a solid team. Michigan State, on the
other hand, their top two scorers are guys that were
backups and scored in single digits last year, and whether
or not that is a negative or not remains to
be seen, but it's not something I'd want to hang
my hat on in this game if I was looking
at taking the points. But as I mentioned, it's going
(09:23):
to take more than three a three or four game
sample size for me to really get a handle on
betting sides in college basketball. So I'm going to look
at the total, and this looks like a potential pace war.
We've got a Michigan State team that ranks three hundred
and sixteenth nationally averaging sixty eight point nine possessions per game,
(09:43):
which is roughly exactly in line with what the pace
they played last season. And then we've got a Kentucky
team that ranks one hundred and forty fifth, averaging seventy
four point two possessions per game, also roughly in line
what they averaged last season. So that gives us a
pretty clear idea of the that this game is going
to be played at. And you look at the previous
(10:03):
history between these two teams. At the last meeting eighty
eight eighty seven in overtime, but in regulation, the score
was tied sixty two to sixty two, and the last
three meetings between these teams none of those three games
reached one hundred and forty combined points. The total here
since at one hundred and fifty three and a half.
Kentucky to me, is a team that likes to play fast,
(10:26):
but they strike me as a team that doesn't mine
if a team wants to slow them, they're happy to
play that game as well, or they certainly get sucked
into playing that game as well. If you look at
last year's schedule, you look at their games against a
teams like Tennessee, one hundred and fifty three and a
half just looks like a big number. I think Michigan
State's going to try and muddy this up a little
bit and keep it under one hundred and fifty, So
(10:48):
we'll take the under in this spot.
Speaker 1 (10:50):
Andy Nice, Nice, like it any It's kind of imprompt
to question any teams you're looking to bet on bet
against college basketball? Is it too early to tell anything
you've really noticed so far?
Speaker 4 (11:02):
I've been involved with West Virginia a little bit. They've
got a new coach. They've got the coach from North Texas,
and obviously he likes to play slow, great defense. I
think West Virginia had gone under in all their games
until their last one. You're going to see a lot
of low scoring games involving West Virginia this year. I've
already cashed in a few unders with them. So that's
(11:24):
that's one team I've been looking at early.
Speaker 1 (11:27):
Nice, nice, good stuff. It's five dollars Tuesday. What do
you have up today?
Speaker 4 (11:31):
I do have a college basketball total, and as you
could probably guess, it's it's probably an under. I'm not
going to tell you what game it is though, unless
you spend the five bucks. But we're coming off back
to back five percent winners with college football. I mentioned
the Kentucky winner two weeks ago, and then we had
San Diego State against Boise State. On Saturday. So we're
(11:52):
looking at the card looking for that next big five
percent winner on Saturday in the upcoming week with college
football as well.
Speaker 1 (12:00):
Nice nice good stuff, Jesse, great breakdowns. Thank you so much.
Good luck to you to keep the winning ways going,
Jesse Schull everyone and giving you guys some really good
breakdowns in there. I forgot that Yanni is not with
us on Tuesdays, so I looked at doing a Steam report.
I gotta be honest, guys, I cannot really find that
much movement, and as always at this time in the
morning out in Vegas, there's just not a lot going
(12:25):
on here. I can't find much in NBA, nothing real
big line moves. One of the plays that there is
some movement on, Brian Power is going to break down.
You got some injuries in NBA, so I did not
see anything there. College basketball, we're not gonna get any
movement till later on today. So you look at some
of these line moves and I'm not sure there's a.
Speaker 2 (12:44):
Whole lot to take away.
Speaker 1 (12:45):
We have a move up from Xavier minus nine and
a half up to ten and a half. We got
money coming in on Saint Peter's on one of those games.
But honestly, there's just not a lot going with the
Steam report. I can check hockey to see if there's
anything big going on, not really a whole lot. Money's
coming in on Saint Louis, so we're fading Toronto a
(13:06):
little bit. Money's coming in on Columbus, they're on the
road at Winnipeg, but on that just not a whole
lot going on. I guess I would say that there's
a pretty decent sized movement on the Rangers. They're on
the road a Vegas, but there's a lot of road
teams for there to be a steam report on. So's
that's your basic steam report. But again it's a little early,
and there's just not a whole lot on the board
that we can get confirmation from.
Speaker 2 (13:26):
So all right, let's go all around the world.
Speaker 1 (13:29):
Let's do some free plays here. We've got NHL, we've
got NBA, we've got a college football. Let's start with NHL.
Lightning's devils. Let's go Brandon Hagel over two and a
half shots on goal. I normally don't like messing around
with two and a half shots on goal props. I
like messing around with the one and a half but
I can't ignore the numbers here. Over in eleven out
of the last fourteen games, he's averaging six point four
(13:52):
shot attempts. That's over that fifty percent mark. And he
doesn't have a great history against the Devils, but the
Devils all give.
Speaker 2 (13:58):
Up eighteenth the most shots on goal.
Speaker 1 (14:00):
He went under against the Devil's earlier this year, So
I think that's why we're getting a better number tonight
we're going to the NBA Nets and Celtics. I just
love these players that are not everyone's talking about in
the props market. Jordan Walsh over five and a half rebounds.
He did not play at the beginning of the season.
He was healthy, scratched several times. But he's playing now
(14:22):
and if you've watched him, he is a defensive specialist
and that is always going to earn you more minutes.
And now he's averaging over ten rebound chances the last
seven games that he's played meaningful minutes in and Brooklyn
is bottom ten allowing rebounds. So Jordan Walsh, as long
as he keeps playing good defense, this guy's going to
be on the court. He's going to be given good
minutes and you can get these low numbers. Then this
(14:42):
is off the wager Talk Free picks page. Michigan State
at Iowa. Look at the Spartans plus seventeen Iowa at
home after a week of travel.
Speaker 2 (14:52):
On the road.
Speaker 1 (14:53):
Last year, the Spartans won this by twelve. They outgained
them four sixty eight to two eighty three. And this
is a matchup that has been fairly close over the years.
Six of the last seven matchups decided by twelve or less.
Speaker 2 (15:05):
So looking at Michigan State at Iowa, it's five dollars.
Speaker 1 (15:09):
Tuesday, all haitikabers at wager Talk can bring up a
best bet.
Speaker 2 (15:13):
I do this every Tuesday. I have an NBA player
prop that is up.
Speaker 1 (15:16):
Absolutely love it. That game is gonna be tonight. It's
one of the late games. Encourage everyone to get that.
Not much going on last night. We were three and
three in props. We pretty much split all across the board,
but we'll tell you we'll happily take a split rather
than losing all of them. So five dollars NBA best
bet that is up. We're having a really really good
month of November up forty nine units there, so encourage
(15:38):
you to join with us. Player props is where it's at.
What I've used to build my bankroll. Clients were very
very happy with NBA. So let's cast that five dollars
Tuesday play over at wager talk dot com. Let's bring
in Brian Power. Brian to get Pistons, Hawks Kansas Duke.
You got some pretty decent games here tonight. There's a
(16:01):
little bit of line move in your NBA game. But
first off, happy Tuesday, How are.
Speaker 2 (16:05):
You doing well?
Speaker 5 (16:07):
Doing well? Andy?
Speaker 6 (16:08):
You're talking about five dollars Tuesday. You know what, I'll
break that down because it's college.
Speaker 5 (16:13):
FOOTBA, A hard right turn here.
Speaker 7 (16:15):
I'll tell the people about what I got going for
five dollars Tuesday. At the end, I'll go morning. It
is a college football player of court. College football, despite
a five percent loss on Saturday, has gone very well. Actually,
thirteen and three number one at.
Speaker 6 (16:29):
With all CFB eighty one percent run there, so six
and one we won six in a row before the
five percent play. Of course, the one time I it
rained in San Diego, the one time of year, the
one time I kind of didn't want it to so
that sucked.
Speaker 5 (16:45):
We'll take thirteen and three every time.
Speaker 2 (16:48):
Absolutely, you'll take thirteen and three. Yeah, absolutely, So.
Speaker 1 (16:51):
Well, let's talk this Pistons in this Hawks game tonight,
Duran might be in the running for one of the
comeback players of the year.
Speaker 2 (16:58):
He's been fantastic. Sod to break down this.
Speaker 1 (17:00):
Eastern Conference matchup Pistons and the Hawks Lions pretty much
a straight pick them so over under two thirty, so
you pretty much who wins this game.
Speaker 6 (17:10):
Yeah, well, let's start off. I talk about what I
think a lot of people already understand. Nobody hotter than
the Detroit Pistons right now in the Association. Ten consecutive
straight up wins, eight and two against the number during
that same stretch, the coming off the win last night
against the Pacers, Andy, I don't need to tell you
the PACER's been a brutal start to the season. Pistons
beat him one twenty seven to one to twelve on Monday,
Jalen Duran, he returns after missing the previous two games
(17:33):
and had eight absolutely monster night. We're talking thirty one points,
twelve of thirteen shooting, fifteen rebounds. I saw this stat
and normally this isn't something I'd spent a lot of time,
but it really kind.
Speaker 5 (17:44):
Of blew my mind.
Speaker 6 (17:45):
Durran was the first player since twenty ten to have
thirty plus points, fifteen plus rebounds, and shoot better than
ninety percent from the field.
Speaker 3 (17:53):
So quite the performance.
Speaker 6 (17:54):
And then you have Jenkins contributing a career high twenty
six for this Pistons team last night. So we're talking
about a group that's got that got not just one,
but two outlier individual efforts. Normally, Andy, I'd be a
bit concerned about betting on a team like that, especially
on the.
Speaker 3 (18:11):
Second night of a back to back.
Speaker 6 (18:13):
But the thing about Detroit, anyone who's been following them,
you know this. They're getting contributions from so many different guys.
You never know who's going to lead the way. Collectively,
it's just really clicking. Keep in mind Cad Cunningham, Tobias Harris,
and Ousar Thompson were all out last night, yet ten
players still scored. Five were in double digits. The team
(18:33):
shoots fifty five percent from the floor overall. They put
up one twenty seven despite just twenty nine percent from three.
They did not trail against Indiana after the seven minute
market a game, so a real easy wire to wire
win for the Eastern Conference leaders.
Speaker 5 (18:48):
Now.
Speaker 6 (18:48):
The second longest win streak in the Eastern Conference right
now belongs to the Atlanta Hawks. They've won five in
a row, and shockingly, all those andy have come without
Trey Young in the lineup. Sunday, they were down big
against Phoenix, but they go on to twenty to nothing
run come all the way back defeat the Suns one
twenty four, one twenty two. Normally the concern would be
(19:11):
about the Pistons playing on the second night of a
back to back, but let's note the Hawks returning home
after a four game road trip out West. A lot
of times we see teams struggle in that first came
back home. Sure enough, how the Hawks performed at home
this year, Gang not that well? Two and three straight up.
We've seen the market move toward the Pistons. I concur
with that. You say pick you want me to pick
(19:32):
you a winner, Andy Lang, I am going to go
with the Detroit Pistons.
Speaker 2 (19:39):
I would just like to.
Speaker 1 (19:40):
Throw out that when you were like first Pistons player
to do this, there's gonna be a lot of that
last year coming off of playing my pacers, There's just
gonna be a lot like this guy had a career night,
and oh, this is the first guy to shoot eighty
percent from the field from three pointers while attempting ten
or more.
Speaker 2 (20:00):
My team's awful, Brian.
Speaker 5 (20:02):
Well, you know you knew that that you used up
that good.
Speaker 6 (20:05):
By the way, where's that guy who was in his
garage that was threatening to murder me last year in
the NBA Finals.
Speaker 5 (20:10):
Whatever happened to that guy? I wonder what happened to.
Speaker 2 (20:14):
I just, I just I can't the garage, buddy.
Speaker 1 (20:17):
I can't believe my team went from so fun and
watchable and competitive too one in thirteen.
Speaker 6 (20:25):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (20:25):
I know it's only November.
Speaker 6 (20:26):
I know it's only November eighteenth, but I regret to
inform everyone that the Indiana Pacers, Brooklyn Nuts, and Washington
Wizards have already been limited from flaff contention.
Speaker 5 (20:34):
They're not getting it.
Speaker 1 (20:35):
It's like it's like the Rockies, like in June, when
they already have next.
Speaker 2 (20:39):
To their name, they've already been from good.
Speaker 1 (20:43):
I mean, listen, if you're gonna be bad, you might
as well just just be bad. If you're like, go
for the number one pick. They got, you got, you got,
you got three amazing guards. I believe that are gonna
be in this draft, so might as well swing for
the fences and go for it. So all right, I digress,
Let's talk college basketball. Kansas Duke always just I mean,
(21:04):
it just seems like a classic matchup.
Speaker 2 (21:06):
How do you break down Kansas and Duke.
Speaker 6 (21:09):
Yeah, last week came on the program, gave you a
winner on a big game, Kentucky and Louisville.
Speaker 5 (21:14):
We'd like to Louisville up.
Speaker 6 (21:15):
And over that team total they scored at will in
that game. Of course, if you guys want full breakdowns,
I know you guys are talking a little college hoops
with Jesse in the previous segment. If you guys want
coverage of the complete college basketball card, we'll go deep
on it too.
Speaker 5 (21:29):
Ten AM Live every Monday through Friday.
Speaker 6 (21:32):
Myself, Adam Trigger, Rob Veno Full Court Press were giving
you free plays, breaking down all the big matchups and
not so big matchups. I know a lot of you
guys in the chat like to ask questions about games
that maybe a little more off the radar. Trig Rob
and I are more than happy to answer those questions. Obviously,
this is one of the bigger matchups, though we did
touch on it on Full Court Press today. Kansas and Duke.
(21:54):
I've got Duke power rate a number one of the country.
I don't think that is really an earth shattering take Kansas.
They're just inside the top twenty five for me, unfortunately.
I mean, this is the case also with that Michigan
State Kentucky game that Jesse talked about, there's a key
injury here. When handicapping this game, we've got to mention
no Darren Peterson for Kansas. Everyone expects him to be
(22:15):
the number one pick in next year's NBA draft, so
that is a significant injury. Peterson had twenty two points
in Kansas's lone loss thus far. That was a loss
by thirteen at North Carolina. The team has since bounced
back a couple wins, big wins, easy wins over Texas
A and M Corpus Christy and Princeton, but obviously facing
Duke Andy much taller order, literally a taller order because
(22:38):
the Blue Devils have great size in the front court.
We all understand that opponents this year against Duke are
shooting just thirty nine percent from two and thirty two
percent overall. You're gonna do pretty well when your opponent,
when you're holding the opponents to that kind of shooting
on the offensive end. Cameron Boozer for Duke. He goes
for thirty five last time out, second most ever by
(22:59):
a Duke freshman, and he was thirteen of sixteen from
the field against Indiana State on Friday. Should probably mention
Duke's perfect four and zero against the spread thus far.
Not only do they open with the impressive win over Texas,
but they've covered three straight times as a favorite of
thirty four or more points. So those big point spreads
have not been a problem for the Blue Devils. They're
(23:19):
just absolutely running the opposition out of the gym. Now,
the contrarian in me does not actually want to lay
double digits with a four and zero against the spread
team against a top twenty five opponent. Even with Peterson
not playing for Kansas, my thought is to go with
the under.
Speaker 5 (23:37):
Offensively, Kansas is not.
Speaker 6 (23:38):
So good, just fifty fifth, and that's including when Peterson
does play. That's fifty fifth per Ken Palm. I think
the Jayhawks are going to struggle to score against his
Duke defense, but Kansas is eleventh and defensive efficiency. This
will be the third time Bill self has coached against
John Shier. The previous two Kansas has held Duke to
sixty four and seventy two points. So I think self
(23:59):
is going to create a game plan here to take
away Boozer, who, by the way, had a scroll's first
half in that Texas game. So under which has taken money,
I would play it. I would still play it at
this current number of one forty eight and a half.
You see on your screen.
Speaker 1 (24:13):
All right, looking at the under one forty eight and
a half, Brian Blitz, you got the full corporate, you
got a lot going on.
Speaker 2 (24:21):
You're man of the people.
Speaker 1 (24:22):
And yes, mug, that was what great timing, great timing
on that that sip to show up.
Speaker 5 (24:27):
I know.
Speaker 6 (24:29):
So I noticed when I watched back the tape, Andy,
I've been doing well on that.
Speaker 3 (24:34):
I would you know.
Speaker 6 (24:35):
I'm a I'm a difficult greater. I'm very self critical,
but I think my performances on this show have been
really good, and I think the key has been coming
on incredibly overcaffeinated each and every time.
Speaker 5 (24:44):
I'm just chugging coffee right before I talk to you,
just spewing information as quickly as I can. So, uh yeah,
why not one more sip game?
Speaker 1 (24:52):
I was thinking about designing like a mug or something
where like on like one side it says hit the
like then I turn it the next.
Speaker 3 (25:00):
Well that would be describe would like that?
Speaker 1 (25:03):
I think I may do this a QR code that
leads to myge Oh wow, maybe.
Speaker 2 (25:09):
Like a little whiteboard where I can update my streaks.
Speaker 5 (25:12):
Uh yeah, that'd be awesome. So I know how to
do it.
Speaker 3 (25:16):
I'd do it.
Speaker 5 (25:16):
I've got no clue.
Speaker 1 (25:17):
Let's work. Let's work in that graphics department. Let's get
that going.
Speaker 2 (25:21):
So uh yeah, all right, So tell every one away
you have up at five dollars.
Speaker 1 (25:24):
Tuesday, tell us about Full Court Press and the Blitz.
Speaker 6 (25:28):
Yeah, we mentioned Full Court Press. That show is live
every Monday through Friday, ten a m Eastern. Myself Adam
triggered Rob Veno. We go deep into the College Oops
Sport full Hour if you want to know about college Oops.
I don't think there's another show on the internet right
now that's gonna go as deep as Full Court Press
does every Monday through Friday at ten am Eastern. And
then we've got the Blitz. We go deep there as well.
That's live every Thursday one pm. Myself, Ralph Michael's Ross
(25:52):
Benjamin Ross is gonna be off this week programming notes.
Steve Merrill will be on the panel instead. I think
it's gonna still be a great show. Obviously, Steve always
does a bang up job. Now to five dollars Tuesday
with the people want to hear about. I mentioned at
the outset. We are on a thirteen and three college
football run to start November. That is number one at
wagertalk dot com, Thank you very much, and.
Speaker 5 (26:12):
It includes a perfect three to zero record with midweek maction.
Speaker 6 (26:17):
Andy. As you know, I am a proud Mid American
Conference graduate of Ohio University. I know this conference very
very well. Last week on five dollars Tuesday at Western Michigan,
I play no favorites. I bet against the alma mater,
Ohio You. Western Michigan won that game. I came back
Wednesday had an even easier winner with Central Michigan blowing
out what I called a very very overrated Buffalo team.
(26:40):
We're going to the Mac. It's a four percent play tonight.
You get for five dollars four percent play Macattack, WT
Dot Buzz SLASHVP again. Thirteen and three cut in college
football to start the month of November. Number one at
wagetalk dot.
Speaker 1 (26:54):
Com, Brian of Power everyone, thank you so much. Great breakdowns,
go check them out on five dollars Tuesday. All right,
let's bring it, Dan, Let's take a look at the
NFL season win totals. Let's see how foolish and brilliant
we looked. But you're right overall, not.
Speaker 2 (27:13):
Too bad, not too bad, not too bad. It really
is it.
Speaker 1 (27:17):
So we can go through a few of them, but
real quick, your your very first, like, what was the
biggest reaction you had?
Speaker 3 (27:25):
All right, so it's it's twofold.
Speaker 8 (27:27):
One of them was what the hell were we thinking
saying the Jets were gonna go.
Speaker 3 (27:31):
Over like like the top three, it's not dead. It's
not dead. They need uh, what do they need?
Speaker 8 (27:40):
We need four wins from the Jets in the test
seven weeks.
Speaker 3 (27:46):
It's dead. I don't know what we're thinking.
Speaker 8 (27:48):
And the other thing that was the biggest takeaway for
me was strength of schedule before the season might actually
matter because part of the reason you and I were
on the under on the page was simply because we
were like, you know, yet the schedule looks really easy. Yes,
their favorites in every game, but you know, you have
a new head coach we didn't know much about Drake May.
(28:09):
It turns out that this team, as they sit right here,
are one of the worst by dboa that's ever been
such a winning team.
Speaker 3 (28:18):
And why is that?
Speaker 8 (28:18):
Andy, Because they're doing what they should do. They are
a solid young team with a new head coach who
is a solid proven coach in this league. And what
are they doing. They're beating up on bad teams and
getting the job done. So, you know, strength to schedule.
I think when we do this next year, I'm gonna
weigh it maybe a little bit more heavily. It's not
gonna be a bible that I worship. But the Patriots,
(28:39):
if we ran up and down this schedule, they were
better than four opponents on the entire thing. So seven
and a half kind of crazy on us going under,
just as the pre flop not knowing what we knew.
Speaker 1 (28:52):
Jets was number three on my list of really funny things.
Number two was the Dolphins. How I went over and
how stupid this looked four weeks ago, and now all
of a sudden they have four wins and they have the.
Speaker 2 (29:07):
Jets to be a sprint on deck.
Speaker 1 (29:10):
So but oh, I see I thought the most obvious
one was, I don't know, maybe you and I should
have a little bit more faith in our own teams.
Speaker 2 (29:19):
You and I both went against and supported the other
person's team. The Colts have already cash, they're over. Yeah,
you're eight and two in the driver's seat.
Speaker 3 (29:31):
That was easy, and I loved the Colts.
Speaker 8 (29:35):
Heading end of this year, I was like, and part
of the reason I wish we could go back, we
should have clipped some of this when we went over
this Andy, because one of the things that I said,
I was like, Daniel Jones quite literally cannot be worse
than he was in in New York, you know what
I mean?
Speaker 3 (29:49):
Like that was that was the main part of my handcups.
I was like, they can't be worse than he was
in New York.
Speaker 8 (29:55):
And you know, for a couple of weeks there he
was talking about as a as an MVP candidate.
Speaker 1 (30:00):
Yeah, we did good on some of the bad teams.
The Saints are two and eight, but they would need
to get four wins. That seems like a stretch. The Titans.
We were pretty good on the Raiders. That one was
a really good one. So we actually did pretty good
with some of the bad teams outside of it.
Speaker 8 (30:18):
So andyway, when you look at the chart two, there
were twenty teams that you and I both agreed on
heading into the season, whether it was strong plays, whether
it was whether it was Leans and a couple of them,
you know, we're like one went away from cashing on
the Jaguars, or two wins away from cashing on the Jags,
one went away from from cashing in on the Broncos.
Speaker 3 (30:38):
The Patriots we already lost, you know, but but a lot.
Speaker 8 (30:41):
Of these rams we need two more wins to cash
with them. So you knows, as we look at the
ones that you and I saw alike, it's easy to say,
dear God, we were so wrong on the Patriots. But
I think the unanimous ones out of the twenty, if
I'm setting it today, looking at what we need, you know, Steelers,
they need three more wins for us to lose the
(31:02):
under that you and I both liked, and you know,
Aaron Rodgers injured. Now you know they have they have
Baltimore pushing on them. So as it stands today, we've
already lost one, We're about to cash one next week.
Out of the twenty, I think we go decently over
five hundred. I'm gonna say we go fifty eight percent
out of the twenty we agree on.
Speaker 1 (31:23):
There's there's one that we both loved on a strong
over that I'm kind of kicking myself about.
Speaker 2 (31:28):
That's the Falcons.
Speaker 3 (31:30):
Yeah. I like them to win the division.
Speaker 1 (31:33):
Yeah, so they notoriously struggle on the road, and now
the penix injury has flair.
Speaker 2 (31:39):
They're done.
Speaker 1 (31:40):
And that was that was what I was like, Ah,
the penis potential injury along with them not being very good.
Speaker 3 (31:47):
On the penix has done this how many times?
Speaker 8 (31:49):
I think this's like his fourth or fifth season ending
injury and his in his career going back to college,
So you know. I still the thing is, they've gotten
so close and so many games, Like if you look
at their margin of loss outside of the thirty point
blowout to the Panthers, it's been coin flips for them.
So unfortunately for us, just the coin not flipping our way. Andy,
(32:11):
and shout out Rick Johnson, thanks for becoming a wager

Speaker 2 (32:59):
The all right, let's go to the NBA.
Speaker 1 (33:03):
Let's break down a double header that we have going
on tonight before we do that five dollars Tuesday NBA
best bet.
Speaker 2 (33:09):
That is up for myself.
Speaker 1 (33:10):
I specialize in props, that's all I do, and we're
doing one every single Tuesday, every single Tuesday. My five
dollars Tuesday play will be an NBA prop.
Speaker 2 (33:20):
We did not hit the one.
Speaker 1 (33:21):
Last week, hit the two before that, so love to
keep that above sixty percent.
Speaker 2 (33:25):
For the Tuesdays.
Speaker 1 (33:26):
Moving forward, all right, let's break down the doubleheader between
the Grizzlies and the Spurs and the Suns and the
Trail Blazers. We're gonna start with the Grizzlies and Spurs.
Spurs minus five and a half over under at two
thirty three and a half.
Speaker 2 (33:44):
We'll go over some numbers.
Speaker 1 (33:45):
Spurs seventh in offensive efficiency, Memphis twenty seventh, Spurs fourth
and defensive efficiency, Grizzlies twentieth in defensive efficiency. Ja Morant
career low efficiency rating, doesn't matter.
Speaker 2 (33:57):
He's out. Wemby looking like an m candidate. Wah wah,
He's out.
Speaker 1 (34:02):
So this looked like such a great matchup at the
beginning of the season, but John Morant Wenby dealing with injuries.
I love the talk that Ja Morant may not actually
be hurt. There just shelfing him until they fight a
trade partner.
Speaker 2 (34:15):
So few other numbers.
Speaker 1 (34:16):
Grizzlies are one in eight their last nine games, four
and ten ats, one in five ats on the road.
John Marrett went out last game and the Grizzlies played
solid against a good Cavs team that were only missing Garland,
and then they just got dominated in the fourth, but
they only lost one oh eight to one hundred. Is
(34:36):
this a potential addition by subscrib subtraction from this team?
Last year this team was eighteen and fourteen without Jahn Morant.
Now Zach Edy comes back from Memphis, just as Wemby
goes out, I'm gonna take the Memphis Grizzlies plus the
points here. Nothing real strong about the over under. This
(34:58):
just smells like a Memphis team that play a little
bit harder with John Moran out of the lineup. So
we'll take Memphis plus the points here. And of course
they give you guys props in all these games that
we break down. That is what I'm specialized. That's what
I specialize in. So those are the markets that I
attacked pretty hard. Kelton Johnson over six and a half rebounds.
He had a strange stat line without Wemby in his
(35:19):
last game, twelve rebounds on sixteen rebound chances while coming
off the bench. I don't expect them to replicate those
type of numbers, but if he gets somewhere close, he
should go over six and a half. And then Santy
Almos all al Dama over thirteen and a half points.
He had fifteen and fourteen, both games without job this season. Now,
he was only two of seven from threes in those games,
(35:40):
but he had twelve point five field goal attempts in
five free throw attempts. So we'll take Aldama over thirteen
and a half points for the Grizzlies and the Spurs.
Let's say San Antonio Panthers.
Speaker 3 (35:55):
It does, say, San Antonio Panthers. You're right, Andy, this
is what happens when we're on.
Speaker 2 (36:03):
Keep it. Let's go. I can subscribe. Let's go. Let's
catch the bets on the Grizzlies in the San Antonio.
Did anyone even catch that in the chat? All right,
let's break. Somebody nobody said, where are you guys? You
guys are asleep at the wheel. All right, let's let's
go to the next game.
Speaker 5 (36:24):
We're gonna break.
Speaker 3 (36:26):
I'm not even putting one up for this one, Handy.
Speaker 1 (36:30):
Let's go to the Phoenix Suns and the Portland Trail Blazers. Well,
Grayson Allen is out for this one. Drew Holliday is doubtful.
I'm kind of ruling him out. We got the Blazers
minus three and a half over under a two thirty
six and a half the Sun's eighth and offensive efficiency Blazers,
eighteenth sons in eighteenth in defensive efficiency Blazers or twenty
(36:51):
second sons to me have been a surprise. They were
not expected to be good this year. But eight and
six so far decent. Nine and five ats, but only
two and four ats.
Speaker 6 (37:03):
On the road.
Speaker 2 (37:04):
Me Portland kind of a little bit of surprise.
Speaker 1 (37:06):
Ats here four and one against the spread at home,
four and one to the over. And this is what
I'm focusing on, Phoenix, four and two to the over
on the road. So I get a Portland team that's
been good to the over at home. I get a
Phoenix Suns team that's been good to the over on
the road. Phoenix is eleven in pace, and believe it
or not, your Portland Trailblazers are number one in pace
(37:27):
this season. We're gonna take the over two hundred and
thirty six and a half the Moons versus the Swirld
live on NBC. Who knows what the spread is, who
knows what the over under is? Let's go, all right,
(37:47):
favorable cash guts, all.
Speaker 3 (37:50):
Right, long time right there?
Speaker 1 (37:52):
Yes, all right, well let's do let's do some props
here Jordan Goodwin.
Speaker 2 (37:57):
You guys have followed my props. You know I'm not
playing props on big name guys.
Speaker 1 (38:01):
Give me these sleeper guys that are under the radar,
guys like Jordan Goodwin over eight and a half points.
Grayson as Alan Grayson Allen is out. Minutes are up
in the last three games. He said thirteen, ten and
fourteen points. He's averaging nine shot attempts in five makes
those last three games. And Portland is twenty second allowing
points to point guards. Sneaky under the radar guy. And
(38:22):
then Dylan Brooks over two and a half made threes.
He's gone over in three straight games. He's attempting eight
per game and shooting forty percent from three in those
last three games. So that's your breakdown for the NBA
doubleheader again, five dollars Tuesday. NBA Best Bet is up
to for tonight. And we've been on a really nice run.
We're up fifty units here in the month of November.
(38:44):
Been on a nice run in NBA props. I believe
we are eighteen and eleven so far this year. So
we keep that pace up, we keep that clip up,
We're gonna be on pace for one of our best
NBA years, so thank you all for watching it.
