Speaker 2 (04:11):
Yeah, greetings, Dana, how are you doing tonight?
Speaker 1 (04:17):
Well, I'm doing good. How are you doing?
Speaker 2 (04:20):
Oh, I'm doing great, and I'm glad to finally be
back here in a way for a couple of weeks
with equipment failures.
Speaker 1 (04:30):
Yeah, but we got things upgraded.
Speaker 2 (04:33):
Yes, thanks the Lord. And it's uh, the twenty second
of October already.
Speaker 1 (04:41):
You know, I can't believe how fast everything went.
Speaker 3 (04:45):
Why.
Speaker 1 (04:46):
You know, we were glad to see its spring, and
then spring sprung and disappeared, and we had summer.
Speaker 2 (04:53):
And that lasted two days.
Speaker 1 (04:54):
It seems like, Yeah, we had a good harvest, and
we're able to share that harvest with a lot of
friends and people. And but the big thing you have
is when you're doing these kind of shows, you got
to get equipment. And I have a top notch mixed
(05:16):
craft power system, and I got another thing to help
us broadcasts because the other one went dipsy dumpster. So
at any rate, we are here, we're ready to continue
(05:38):
and bring you more stuff and upfront, the Lord's lighthouse Keeper. Now,
we have an ongoing practice, and that is we will
(06:01):
take an article that's currently on our website and we'll
go through it and talk to you about it, just
to let you know the structure of the articles and
what we have. This is the Lord's lighthouse Keeper. You
heard Tower talk about it earlier. A city on a
(06:22):
hill cannot be hidden. Nor can a lighthouse that is
brightly shining on a high outcrop on the rock ecliffs
overlooking the seeds of life. Keep the lighthouse maintained so
that the light will shine out for all those passing
by in the stormy seas of life from the dark
(06:42):
of night. And Tower, I feel like we're right there.
Oh we are, you know, we are in that time
and with this stuff, with what Trump's trying to do,
and the Democrats and being split, and there's just so
many things going on right now. We need to be
praying to the Lord, We need to be seeking the Lord.
(07:03):
There's a lot of things. So it's very yes, and
this is our advocacy show for the persecuted Church, and
we have talked about a lot of the things that
the people are talking about right now now let's get
back to this. For those passing by our lighthouse and
(07:23):
the stormy seas of life, that light must be well
maintained and bright so all can find a safe passage
during these dark times. And that's why we broadcast, that's
why I write articles, that's why we maintain websites, is
to get that light out there. And we have partners,
(07:49):
and these partners help us to do that. And the
money that's donated goes right into the coppers to help it.
We don't we don't use anybody. That's not what we're
here for. We just don't do that. In Matthew, we
see that these words are found Blessed are they which
(08:12):
are persecuted for righteousness sake? This leads to the inheritance
of the Kingdom of heaven. And right away, I'm thinking
of Nigeria there and all the persecuted believers. Yeah, and
I urge you to support Nigeria. And if you don't
know who to send money to, you go to our
(08:36):
websites at WARRENDASHUSA dot com, leave us a message and
I'll send you the one that you can contact. Now,
these are stable, reputable ministries and so you can depend
on that unbelievably, though the Lord's lighthouse Keeper has enemies
(09:02):
for the believer, the word of God incarnate Jesus Christ
is our redeemer that made it possible for us to
have light to shine with in him. Scripture says we live, move,
and have our being. Christ told us we are to
abide in him John fifteen, further adding that if we
(09:27):
loved him, we would keep his commandments. Now in John three,
nineteen through twenty, it says this, and this is the
condemnation that light has come into the world. Men love
darkness rather than light because their deeds were evil. For
(09:47):
everyone that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to
the light lest his deed should be reproved. John three,
verses nineteen through twenty. The Lord's Lighthousekeeper, it was written
by the Watchman, Danad Glenn Smith. That's myself. We are
(10:08):
the wibr Warn Radio websites and ministries. We are an
in depth biblical teaching preaching warning agency in these last days,
and we are also about the persecuted church. The work
in ministry the wibr Warn Radio is about the testimony
(10:30):
of Jesus Christ through the faith of Jesus Christ by
the mercy of God, our Father, through his grace extended
flowing from the love of God to all people everywhere,
commanding everyone to repent. This is the Lord's lighthouse keeper,
(10:50):
and in Revelation twelve eleven says they overcame by the
blood of the Lamb, the word of their testimony, and
they love not their lives unto the death. Okay, Tower,
I think your name?
Speaker 2 (11:13):
Do you have my micon?
Speaker 1 (11:15):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (11:19):
Okay. We're at part one of Indonesia's new penal code.
So on nine twenty five of this year, Indonesia's inter
Christian concern This story comes to us from International Christian Concerns.
(11:39):
A new penal code, applicable to both Indonesian nationals and foreigners,
will take effect in January twenty twenty six. Part of
this new code consists of updated blasphemy regulations. Indonesia has
had a blasphemy low since nineteen sixty five. Multiple attempts
(12:01):
have been made, including one by a former Indonesian president,
to remove it from the nation's legal code, but the
blasphemy law has proven a resilient survivor. With more than
two hundred and eighty five million people, Indonesia is the
world's largest majority Muslim country, and though Muslims comprise more
(12:26):
than eighty five percent of the population, there is no
official state religion, and Indonesia's constitution has provisions intended to
safeguard freedom for six religions, including Pradu, CROs, Thank You,
(12:46):
and Catholicism. Indonesia has received praise for maintaining a religiously
diverse society, but its thirty eight provinces provinces can vary
heavily in their degree of extremism and willingness to act
on it. There are several notorious provinces where church closing
(13:08):
and closings and attacks happened more frequently, said Andreas, an
Indonesian Christian whose name we've changed to protect his identity.
He added that one reason behind such hostility is the
fear of Christianity, which saw significant growth in Indonesia during
(13:30):
the second half of the previous century. As the twenty
first century arrived, Indonesia saw an increase in the frequency
of lethal religiously motivated attacks, including church bombings. During the
last decade, however, Indonesia has seen somewhat of a decline
(13:51):
in religiously based violence. Andreas credited the former President Jocko Wadoodoo,
who served from twenty fourteen to twenty twenty four with
having made some relevant improvements under his oversight, Indonesian authorities
(14:12):
successfully disbanded such extremist groups as the Islamic Defenders Front,
but their ideology lives on. So does the presence of
a blasphemy law, which has been used to target members
of its sizable Christian minority roughly eleven percent of the
total population. One notable example involved a former governor of
(14:36):
the capital city of Jakarta, who was the first Christian
to hold the position in more than half a century.
He received a two year prison sentence for blasphemy offenses
in a case that many saw as political, as politically motivated.
(14:57):
And you can go to Persecution Org and find out
more about how you can help, donate and support your
brothers and sisters and their children in this persecution. And
now back to you data.
Speaker 1 (15:11):
Well, I know why you hesitated. Yeah I missed one. Yeah,
so I'll do this one and the others. But remember
these you can jump in here now. This one is
behind bars, finding.
Speaker 2 (15:29):
Christ terrorists, finding christ.
Speaker 1 (15:32):
Yeah, terrorists, finding Christ Thank you, radical terrorists and developing
nations are some of the hardest people to reach for Christ.
It's a dangerous ministry when terror groups have vast embedded networks.
They can embed intimidate, or even kill believers, especially new converts,
(15:55):
before they ever get to the good news of Jesus.
But in prison and the dynamic changes. An incarcerated extremists
becomes quite literally a captive audience for the gospel.
Speaker 2 (16:10):
That's good and funny.
Speaker 1 (16:13):
Yeah, that's good. Yeah, you're right.
Speaker 2 (16:18):
Ah, what do you call that? Were there? I don't
know their mojo. I guess I don't know where. They
are so radical outside the prison, but when they get
in there, it kind of humble them.
Speaker 1 (16:32):
Yeah, well they can't do much. Greg von Tobel, president
of Prisoners for Christ, says, when we talk about third
world prisons, there are a lot of terrorist groups that
have found themselves in prisons. What better opportunity to share
the love of Christ with some of the hardest of
hearts that are bent on evil and having them come
(16:54):
to know the Lord, getting released and going back to
their communities and sharing the love Christ. PFC helps believers
behind bars start churches and prisons across the developing world
for terrorists. These church gatherings are off in the first
(17:15):
place they hear about Jesus. Now. Don Schwazzo, mayor pfc's
director of international Affairs, explains that many of the inmates
in our prison churches simply out of curiosity, and it
says that this is a safe place. This is a
(17:35):
place you can come, you can ask questions, you can learn,
you can grow, and you can't do that if you're
a terrorist among people still sharing the Gospel is only
the beginning. Von Tobel stresses the importance of building up
new believers in the faith during their incarceration. We have
(17:56):
to have the discipleship piece, feeding and growing inmates that
are babes and the word of God and watching them
and growing them into great warriors for the cause of Christ.
So pray for the extremists in prison to turn to
Christ and become warriors for God's mercy. And pray for
(18:19):
the believers who lead these prison churches that God would
equip them with wisdom and courage and perseverance as they
disciple new Christians. Amen, now you can this. Greg bon
Toba on Prisoners for Christ it's Prisoners for Christ dot org.
(18:39):
It was formed in nineteen eighty nine, and it's reached
across the United States and in over twenty five other
countries to share the gospel with inmates of jails, prisons,
and juvenile institutions.
Speaker 2 (18:56):
The Lord the.
Speaker 1 (18:56):
Ministry supports chaplains with free resources to serve the inmates,
and of course in all these they have free Bibles,
Christian literature, etc. And they also help supply the prison libraries.
So that's a good story. And I always like to
when we have these stories, look up who it is
(19:19):
we're talking about. So Prisoners for Christ is what this
one is about. Reaching the loss, Greg von Tobel as
the president, you go to Prisoners for Christ dot org.
Now in another one, protesting government in action, this is
(19:40):
Premission Network News. This is regarding Pakistan. Now, there were
some attacks two years ago called the Jaranuala attacks, and
the people today are still struggling to rebuild their lives
amid government in action. Yet they do not give up
(20:02):
hope for justice. And this comes from Mission Networknews dot org.
In a unique occasion, victims of the August twenty twenty
three Islamic attacks on Christians and Jaranwala ended an unprecedented
seventeen day protests on September two, Neamiyah from FMI protests
(20:31):
wasn't just about property damage or compensation. It was about justice, accountability,
and being heard. The community felt neglected by those claiming
to advocate for them. More than twenty five churches in
eighty five Christian homes were damaged or burned, Yet despite
(20:52):
such massive destruction, almost nothing was done. That's wrong, Yeah,
it is wrong. Clear clues pointed to the attackers, but
the investigation stalled for two years as perpetrators were freed
and victims remained helpless. Now they can, let's see the
(21:18):
Jeron Walla railway station courtesy of Wick Media Commons. They
can file complaints, says Nehemiah, and pursue prosecution, even though
in many cases the rest of prosecutions have been inadequate. Well,
you know, one of the big problems you have when
you're talking about this kind of persecution, it is very
(21:42):
hard to catch them and it's very hard to implicate it.
Especially for instance, let's use Nigeria. Yeah, a lot of
Christians being slaughtered there, but the government doesn't do anything.
Matter of fact, the Christians in the last one I
read just this not too long ago. The pastor who
was remaining said the government, there is no government. They
(22:05):
don't do nothing. And so you know the thing of
it is is that you can only stand in action
for so long. After that you're dead.
Speaker 2 (22:16):
Yeah. Well they did open up. The Victims Committee of
Jaron Walla was created to advocate for those affected. So
in any rate they can get something going.
Speaker 1 (22:33):
Yeah. Now there's another one, forgotten Missionaries dot org that
was involved in this article as well, and it came
out of mission Network News Online. And then these other
ministries come up and put their stories and articles and
(22:55):
what they're doing on this. So it's a cooperative effort.
Now we're at Donald Trump Trump Christians threatened globally, So
if you're overseas, Christianity is the most persecuted religion on
(23:16):
the planet. And that's from AINA, the Assyrian International News Agency.
When President Trump told the United Nations on Tuesday, that's
this is dated nine of let's see. Yeah, so that's
(23:44):
about a month ago. When President Trump told the United
Nations on Tuesday that Christianity is the most persecuted religion
on the planet. He put blunt words to a grim
reality known to millions around the world. And we know
about it, and we advocate for the president for help
(24:07):
for them. We don't advocate for terrorism. We advocate to
help and get money to the ministries that have boots
on the ground to help these people directly. And that's
(24:29):
that works. So Trump put blunt words to a grim
reality known to millions across the world. He was correct
to highlight the state of Christian persecution worldwide, from criminalization
for basic Christian expression and liberal democracies to imprisonment and
(24:52):
the threat of death under hostile remains regimes. Now, this,
of course, what we're looking at here now is Nigeria
demonstrates with tragic clarity what happens when the policing of
(25:13):
expression metastasizes into violence with impunity. So, in other words,
year after year, Nigeria leads the world and Christians killed
for their fate. Horrific statistics that should command urgent international attention.
Now we're getting more attention than we did before. But
(25:36):
see they're killing not just anybody, they are killing the Assyrians.
This is that it comes from the Assyrian International News Agency.
But you know, religious freedom is not a special plea
(25:57):
for Christians at robustly in society's flourish. Now, if you
let that religious freedom get destroyed or decay, No one says.
So we must work towards a world for the inherent
(26:17):
dignity of every person is championed and all life is valued.
For marriage, families and communities thrive. The good news of
the Christian message resounds across the globe. And so you
can go to AI in a dot org and you
(26:38):
can actually find the article Trump is right, Christian is
a threatned across the globe. And so that's a AI
in a dot org and you can find this article
that I just read to you Trump Christians threatened globally.
Now that's Trump. And then Christians threatened globally, that's not Trump.
(27:03):
Christians sounds like, you know, just Trump. No, it's not.
It's a bigger scope than that. So, Okay, power your.
Speaker 2 (27:15):
Dext I'm gonna read. I'm gonna change the way this
is being Yeah. So I'm gonna read Part two of
Indonesian's new penal code. Okay, so some of these blasphemy
cases see Okay, So a new penal code applicable to
(27:36):
both Indonesian nationals of foreigners, will take effect in twenty
twenty six. Part of this new code consists of updated
blasphemy regulations. Some of the blasphemy cases seem petty to
an absurd degree, even though the consequences can be serious.
In twenty nineteen, a Buddhist woman was convicted of blasphemy
(27:59):
for complain about the noise level of loud speakers at
a local mosque. Indonesia's Supreme Court upheld her eighteen month
jail sentence. That is just wrong, you know, I don't
agree with that. The updated law, taking effect in twenty
twenty six, will expand the blasphemy code from one to
(28:22):
six articles. The new blasphemy regulations will also recognize any
living law, a vaguely worded provision that intolerant or ex
ex explotative local officials could quite easily abuse, especially in
(28:43):
locations that have extremist sympathies. And yet the issue seems
curiously off the radar of many Indonesian Christians. Catholic Jesuit
priest friends Magnus in Jakarta admitted he had forgotten about
(29:04):
the new blasphemy law and that he had never discussed
the matter with other priests. From what he can determine,
the majority of Indonesian Christians don't know anything about it.
Most Indonesian Christians only know about famous blasphemy cases like
the one involving the Christian ex governor of Jakarta. Andrea
(29:28):
said he is not sure exactly was pushing for these
updated blasphemy regulations. He added that the current blasphemy law
has already seen several judicial reviews and human rights organizations
are always critical of it. Andreas believes that the blasphemy
law was updated because of the new digital environment and
(29:53):
ubiquitous social media. He acknowledges there is some need to
regulate hate speech on social media, as such content can
easily go viral and potentially harm inner religious relations. At
the same time, he said that parts of the updated
law are still open to interpretations that favor the majority religion. Right,
(30:17):
that's true, Magnus said he is not concerned that the
updated law will make it easy for extremists to use
blasphemy accusations like a as a weapon. Like in Pakistan.
The situation here is very different, said Magnus, who knows
several Pakistani Semerians seminarians. He added the people in Pakistan
(30:41):
are far more likely to unleash a blasphemy accusation. I
do not see a high level of persecution of Christians
in Indonesia, Magnus said, though he acknowledged that cases of
intolerance continue to take place in places where Christians are
a small minority. However, he added, we now have excellent
(31:05):
relations with two big Muslim civils society organizations which help
us to resolve conflicts. And the US Commission on International
Religious Freedom takes a more critical view of Indonesia for
several reasons, including its blasphemy law. In fact, the US
(31:27):
Commission of International Religious Freedom twenty twenty five annual report
recommended that Indonesia appear on a special watch list of
countries that either partake in or tolerate severe violations of
religious freedom. Meanwhile, Andrea said, we still need to see
whether the new regulations will bring a positive or negative
(31:50):
impact to Indonesian society. So you can go to persecution
dot org and find out more about how you can
help and donate and support your brothers and sisters in
these in these persecuted areas. Okay am i mid okay.
(32:18):
So we're going to talk about Amina, the abandoned mother's faith. Amina,
the eighteen year old mother we talked about last time
we were on was abandoned by our Muslim husband, husband
who couldn't reconcile their differences. And so we want to
(32:38):
remember to pray for her father, bless Amina's church with
a new pastor and building. Holy Spirit guide and provide
for Amina's church, raising up a new pastor and enabling
the completion of their building Matthew sixteen eighteen. And I
(32:59):
tell you that you are Peter, and on this frock,
I will build my church and the gates of Hell
will not overcome it.
Speaker 1 (33:13):
Well, that's good to know, yeah, and it's good to believe. Yes,
that's right.
Speaker 2 (33:20):
And be sure to get your copy of The Rising,
a Christian fiction thriller by The Watchman Dana G. Smith.
A story of personal survival, the struggle of a nation,
and the love of two people, set amidst the prophetic
landscape of perilous times. The Rising is a story of deliverance, faith, power,
(33:45):
and the inner struggles within as an evil engulfs all
those who face it. And you can get your copy
of The Rising on Amazon, Barnes and Noble Books a
million Ingram Walmart Angus and Roberts, and the Writing ebook
can be found on Google Play. And now I was
(34:08):
do you want to go ahead with ice.
Speaker 1 (34:15):
Now. The next one is about International Christian Concern President
Jeff King. Jeff King has retired Tower and I went
to an online meeting and we didn't go anywhere. We
were there through the internet and they had a meeting
and Jeff King was presiding there. But Jeff King has
(34:37):
done a lot, He's been there for a long time,
and so we're covering this just let you know that
there is a new president, and you know, I want
to give Jeff Kings some kudos shout outs here. The
board of directors of International Christian Concern is named Sean Wright.
(34:59):
The organization next president. Wright was selected among candidates when
longtime leader Jeff King announced his retirement after building and
leading the ministry for more than two decades. Right will
take the helm of the global ministry based in Washington, DC,
(35:21):
on October thirty first. Jeff's retirement marks the culmination of
many years of faithful service, said in International Christian Concern
board chair ed Worm Warmond, he has poured his heart
into building ICC into a respected, impactful ministry and it
(35:45):
is respect and that's because they do meet the needs
of the people over there, and we are an advocate
for not just them, but for a lot of various
ministries that that we present in these broadcasts and tell
you about. Under Jeff's leadership, countless of pressed believers have
(36:12):
seen supported and strengthened. ICC's board, staff and global partners
are deeply grateful for his years dedicated to serving and
growing God's kingdom. Yeah, as the third president in ICCs,
(36:39):
we'll see this says thirty years. You know.
Speaker 2 (36:43):
Yeah, it's a third president in ICC thirty year history.
Speaker 1 (36:47):
And so you think that Jeff I thought he started it.
There must have been one before him. Well, Jeff was
there for twenty years. So this guy's had quite an impact.
Will lead a pivot, Right will lead at a pivotal
(37:07):
and challenging time Christian persecution worsens and a growing number
of regions than it does. Right builds more. That brings
more than fifteen years of dedicated leadership experience in international ministry,
humanitarian support and fundraising. He most recently served as president
(37:30):
of Packed seven USA, in a Christian media ministry that
enables young Pakistani Christians to share the love of Jesus
with their nation through exceptional television social media capacity building efforts.
He also served as Far East Regional director of Elam Ministries,
(37:54):
dedicated to helping oppress Christians in the Iran region. And
so I wanted to share this and let you know.
And right says, I am humbled to following Jeff's footsteps,
honored by the trust placed in me by the board.
(38:16):
Right said I SEC is built an extraordinary legacy of
aid and advocacy for the persecuted church. I look forward
to working with this talented and dedicated team to provide
the necessary resources while coming alongside the persecuted big and
small ways now, i SEEC currently has over fifty full
(38:41):
time and part time global staff members, as well as
ongoing projects in forty seven countries. Wow, I didn't really
like that. Yeah, they are. They are definitely big, There's
no doubt about that. Now, the next one that we're
(39:02):
looking at this has to do with South Korea, and
you know, you really run into actually, you see, the
problem is he's a South Korean missionary, but he goes
(39:22):
into North Korea and he's after more than a decade,
he's still imprisoned in North Korea. You know, and when
they take one of these guys out, you can't just
snap your fingers and put someone else back in there.
I mean, this guy has a lot of experience. Now,
(39:46):
it's been nearly twelve years since Kim Jung wuk, a
South Korean Christian missionary, was arrested for his faith while
in North Korea. His family hasn't been allowed to contact
him since his arrest. Current condition whereabouts are unknown. Now,
that's one of the dangers of ministering in places like
(40:10):
North Korea or even China.
Speaker 2 (40:13):
You know, that's tragic.
Speaker 1 (40:16):
Yeah. In twenty thirteen, North Korean authorities took John Wook
into custody after the missionary allegedly brought religious items into
the country. Of course they're going. Officials have been less
than forthcoming about the missionary, as well as others who
were detained. According to an NK News report, authorities have
(40:42):
refused to provide even minimal information about the detainees and
including confirming if they're even alive. Now, that's that's that's horrible. Yeah,
but that's North Korea. Open Doors reported in January that
before is the rest, Jung Wuk worked at as a
(41:03):
Christian missionary in dan Dong, China, serving refugees from North Korea.
He reportedly shared the Gospel of Jesus with him provided
them with shelter and food, the report explained. It goes
on to say that John Wuck haided others under the
radar until his inner circle was unknowingly endangered by North
(41:25):
Korean spies who reportedly talked him into traveling into North Korea,
and that's how we got in trouble. According to the
United States Commission on International Religious Freedom, in February of
twenty fourteen, John Wuk was forced to confess his alleged
crimes at a press conference, including working to establish underground churches.
(41:53):
Three months later, in May twenty fourteen, John Wuk was
given a sentence of life imprisonment foreign for crimes including
conspiracy to subvert the state. Agreed, isn't that bad? Yeah,
So you can go to persecution dot org to donate
(42:15):
and also to find out more to help the persecuted
believers than others.
Speaker 2 (42:22):
Okay, believer's own Bible is a must. This comes to
us from Global Christian Relief dot Org. Nearly half of
the world's population lacks access to scripture in their own language,
and in places like Chad, where over seventy percent of
(42:46):
the population can't read and over one hundred distinct languages
are spoken. The challenge of getting the Gospel into the
hands of eager believers is quite profound. That's why efforts
to deliver Bible to believers in their native language is
such a core part of our mission. Every believer deserves
(43:06):
a Bible in their own language. The audio law the
audio Bible Amina received in her heart language of Kinga
is the most is her most treasured possession. It allows
her to share scripture with her neighbors who also can't read.
(43:27):
Amina's story unfolds like a parable of resilience written in
the margins of hardship. She was born and raised as
one of nine children in a family who don't all
share the same Christian faith. Her journey to Jesus began
when a local pastor revealed to her that Jesus is
the Savior and those who believe in him will be saved.
(43:51):
When I started my life with Jesus, everything became new,
she recalls, her eyes brightened. I do more good to people.
I am happy with people, and I love people. That's
what Jesus brought something new in my life. The transformation
would be tested in ways she never anticipated. Married young
(44:11):
to a Muslim Man. Amina was abandoned with her infant
son when her husband left, unable to reconcile his faith
with hers. Now she lives in her mother's compound as
a single mother, navigating poverty while clinging to promises that
transcend her circumstances. Her favorite, Yes, her favorite Bible verse
(44:35):
holds the source of her enduring faith. We are more
than conquerors through Kim who loved us Romans eight thirty seven. Yes,
that's good. So Amina's Bible has blessed her immeasurably. There's
still an overwhelming need for Bibles in her community. People
(44:57):
always need more and more audio Bibles than sp the cards,
she explained, because they are joyful when they listen to
the words of God, and they want to discover more
about the Bible. Some of them don't know how to read,
so it is a simple way for them to discover
the Bible. Feeling this need is quite simple. Just five
(45:20):
dollars gets the Gospel into the hands of a new believer.
With your help, we can keep a steady supply of
Bibles and support and other support like emergency aid that
ongoing spiritual development to our persecuted brothers and sisters in
dangerous countries. This is a unique opportunity to increase access
(45:44):
to the living, breathing words of God to new and
persecuted believers so they can thrive on the promise of
the Gospel. And that's from Brian Orme, President and CEO
of Global Christian rey Life that you can go to
Global Christian Relief dot org and see how you can
(46:09):
help your brothers and sisters get a Bible.
Speaker 1 (46:14):
And Global Christian Relief is really a good humanitarians is outfit.
And all of these that we mentioned here in International
Christian Concern, you know, and and all the others you know,
these are people that put their lives online to get
(46:37):
support to the persecuted church or receipts. Now this upfront
pastor's wife church member kidnapped in Nigeria. This from Persecution
dot org, which is International Christian Concern. And September twenty first,
(47:01):
an unknown governman abducted a pastor's wife and a female
church member in the Obi local government area of the
Nassarwa State in Nigeria. Samuel Nasumu, pastor of the Word
of God Church, had just left the house to visit
(47:27):
a sick member of the congregation when he received a
call from his wife, Patience. All I could hear was
her voice of prayer. She couldnot even tell me what
was happening. God, that would be tough. According to the pastor,
there were signs that the gunman tried to smash the
(47:49):
door open with a hammer. When that failed, they started
shooting sporadically, forcing his wife to open the door in fear,
and she and the church member were see during their
attempts to flee. By the time Nasuma returned home, his wife,
the church member, and their abductees were gone. Only the
(48:12):
three month old baby was left behind. Now that's how
cold hearted the yeah. According to Afro Post newspaper, the
kidnappers demanded thirty four thousand for their release. The pastor's
wife is reportedly struggling with her health while in captivity.
During a call from the kidnappers, patients can be heard
(48:35):
crying in the background, my baby, my baby, Who will
help me out of this pain? Somebody please rescue me
from this for us? Oh God, isn't that gut wrong?
Being away from her newborn has deepened her trauma. On
the condition of which they are being kept as unbearable.
(48:56):
A family member told reporters this is not the first
incident of this kind. Local kidnapping in the Naceowa state
are continuing to escalate. A community member who asked not
to be names, said, we live in fear every day.
Kidnapping happened regularly here. Kidnappings happened regularly here. Even farmers
(49:21):
are being targeted. And Ayagaru is at the mercy of kidnappers.
We are peting with government Abdullah Suli to take urgent action.
Now you can go to persecution dot org to donate,
to find out how you can help the persecuted Christians
(49:43):
in Nigeria and elsewhere. You know, I set a tragedy,
it is, and as much you know when we've got
a lot of mess in America going on right, a
lot of mess. We've got a lot of Muslims here
that openly talked about taking America over. But yet when
(50:07):
you look at the place here, see it is imperative
that places like America and other nations who are free
stay free so that they can give help to the
persecuted church. That is the foremost. We are here to
(50:28):
give voice to the persecuted Christians, the persecuted church, and
to give aid and help and comfort to them in
whatever situations they are in.
Speaker 2 (50:43):
Amen.
Speaker 1 (50:46):
Now we are coming down. We're now Mission networknews dot com.
This is found in Egypt and we want to introduce
you to a new ministry partner or a new ministry.
(51:06):
This is with Mission Network News. The largest evangelical church
in the Arab world Wow. Cosser El Dobara Evangelical Church,
located in Egypt, was founded by doctor Ibraham Said in
nineteen forty nine with the Missions DNA. Since then, the
(51:28):
church has grown into the largest Arab evangelical congregation with
twelve thousand members.
Speaker 2 (51:35):
Wow. Exciting.
Speaker 1 (51:36):
Yeah it is. Kdec's pastor emphasizes it's not about the number. Actually,
it's about the kingdom. We are kingdom minded, not church mind.
We believe that the church exists for the great commission
to continue the message that Jesus Christ started. Amen. Amen,
(52:01):
and people help to get the not get help people
to get to the knowledge of Jesus Christ. We pass
the message of hope for people. So in Egypt we
have one hundred and eighteen million, so the pastor says,
(52:21):
at least twenty million are Christians. The majority are Coptic Orthodox,
three five percent or Evangelicals. The rest are Catholic, so
we are a minority among minorities, but thank God, we
can reach the multitude. Out of Egypt's one hundred and
(52:44):
eighteen million people, Pastor Sam says at least twenty million
are Christians, The majority are Coptic, Orthodox and five percent
of Evangels, so they meet people where they are through
creative outreach. We have the largest sports ministry program in
(53:05):
the Middle East. We serve around seven hundred and fifty
thousand per year, and also in the Middle East, we
were using sports to reach people with the knowledge of
the Christ. Another outreach draws thousands to music festivals. We
develop a program called Count It Right in partnership with
(53:27):
Poulou's organization. We have a festival and people come from
different backgrounds to watch the shows. In each station, we
share the gospel. Whatever the method, Pastor Sam says, it
all comes down to one goal, telling as many people
as possible about Jesus. We are using different languages. I
(53:55):
don't mean like Arabic or English. I mean languages like sports, music, apologetics,
media and social media that grabs people's attention to the
message of the crass Christ and Pastor Sam says to
pray for grace and wisdom as we're serving the Lord.
Pray for the church in Egypt to be the center
(54:16):
of God's will, to be brave, and to continue sharing
the good news without peer.
Speaker 2 (54:23):
Amen. Boy, that's exciting. I didn't know there was a
big church like that in Egypt.
Speaker 1 (54:30):
Well, you know, there was a large church in India
that was a Christian that's true, And we talked talked
about that one.
Speaker 2 (54:39):
Probably they had over one hundred thousands.
Speaker 1 (54:41):
Yeah, they had a lot. It was about a year ago,
I think it was. We were talking about it. Now
we're coming down to the end. We got a few
minutes left here, but tower, I think you know we're
coming down. It's twenty twenty. But as we look to
twenty twenty six, you know, do you have any thoughts
(55:05):
about twenty twenty six?
Speaker 2 (55:09):
Not yet?
Speaker 1 (55:11):
Well I do. I think that twenty twenty six, even
though America is suffering issues the way they are right now,
that we must find a way to get the gospel out,
and we also must find a way to continue advocacy
(55:32):
for the persecuted church, and we must continue to be
able to send funds to help these ministries reach our
brothers and sisters that are persecuted over seas.
Speaker 2 (55:49):
Yes, amen, I believe that too. I think it needs
to ramp up.
Speaker 1 (55:56):
Yeah. And so if you've never heard of this program before,
we welcome you. If you do know about this program,
tell others, and you know, we don't sit here and
(56:17):
beg for money. We produce everything here and we tell
you where to go donate. You don't donate to us,
You donate to these ministries that are doing the work.
And that's where we have funds that we send out
(56:38):
and it goes to them. And that's the way it is.
That's the way the ministry goes. That's who we are.
So you're ready to close out.
Speaker 2 (56:54):
Okay, Thank you everybody for joining us whenever you do.
It's always a pleasure to have you here. What the
and we're glad to be back and sorry for the
time missed. And we appreciate each and every one of
you and all that you do for the Lord, and
may God richly bless you for all that you do.
(57:14):
And we love you and we always pray the best
for you in Christ Jesus, and please pray for us,
but pray for your brothers and sisters around the world
and these persecuted nations that God will make a way
for them and bring back the families the women that
(57:35):
have been kidnapped. Yes, and we thank you in Jesus' name.
We love you.
Speaker 1 (57:43):
