Speaker 1 (00:00):
The Watchdog on Wall Street podcast explaining the news coming
out of the complex worlds of finance, economics, and politics
and the impact it we'll have on everyday Americans. Author,
investment banker, consumer advocate, analyst, and trader Chris Markowski.
Speaker 2 (00:16):
They had a Communist rally yesterday in New York City.
Actually one of the better better venues to see concerts
in New York City, the Forest Hills Amphitheater that they've
got there. They had a massive Communist rally hosted by
Zooran Mamdani, Bernie Sanders, Aoch and many others, promising one
(00:45):
hundred percent free childcare to all New York City residents,
rent freeze, pre buses go on on on, and you
know they were chanting not you say dssay DSA Democratic
Socialists of America that is Communist party here in the
(01:07):
United States. Also chanting tax the rich, tax, the rich,
tax the rich again. I don't know what to tell you.
I grew up, like I said, child the seventies and
eighties to think that we get to this point in
(01:29):
time back when I was, you know, a kid, and
you know the movies that we watched and kind of
love for the country that we had back at that
point in time, and how that really just slipped away
very quickly. I mean, how quickly did that.
Speaker 1 (01:53):
Happen?
Speaker 2 (01:54):
And yeah, I do I think that. I think many
of the mainstream old school Democrats are scared, but they
played a major role in this Republican Party as well,
not not doing their job. I think war on terror
(02:16):
played a significant part of this and the amount of
money that we've blown on nonsense for that period of time.
I've talked about, you know, the issues that our country has.
Fifty eight percent of a staggering number, fifty eight percent
of college grads you graduated within the last year can't
find a job, can't find a job. I warned about this,
(02:45):
talked about it in terms of cost of living, talked
about it in terms of inflation, and that this would
be a bit of a you know, side effect this.
I mean, you saw this. You saw this back when
you know Bernie Sanders. Bernie Sanders was supposed to be
the nominee against Donald Trump back in two thousand and sixteen.
(03:08):
We got knee capped by the Democratic Party. What happened,
and they put Hillary in over Bernie Sanders because you know,
Bernie Sanders was, you know, airing grievances, and that's that's
what he does. It's like the Seinfeld Festivus, you know,
the holiday for the rest of us. He's constantly airing
(03:31):
grievances and that's the same thing that Domy is doing.
What's amazing to me. What's amazing to me is that again,
these people are believing that this is you know, this
is going to help them. Not to mention the fact
you take a look at the crowd. I'm sorry, I
take a good hard look at the crowd that was there.
(03:53):
They looked like from all over the world. Okay, and listen,
I don't I don't mind. I don't mind immigration, legal immigration,
but you might want to assimilate to American society. I
for the life of me can't figure out why in
the world you want to come to America and bring
(04:14):
the same ideas and policies from where you came from.
You take a look at the amount of welfare that
we hand out here in this country. And this obviously
gets into the whole immigration debate, which I've talked about before.
Many vibrant discussions with people about this and how it
(04:37):
should be handled. Without a doubt, Donald Trump has done
a great job at just shutting down the border, and
they'd done that with force. But the reality is that
no one would come here. And I've said this again again,
no one would have come here in the first place
if we weren't handing out free stuff and weren't allowing
(04:58):
people to work. I was both sides. I mean, for
the longest period of time, you had the whole open
borders part of the Republican Party when it came to
allowing people in US Chamber of Commerce, and I said, fine,
I said, you need the workers. You keep saying this,
but you know what, make it legal. Make sure that
(05:19):
they're not getting you know, getting paid properly. Don't let
them undercut various different things. Have a system in place,
but no, no, no, no, no, again, they're big donors
and whatnot. Didn't want that to happen. So again, this
we did to ourselves. New York City Communist rally, watch it,
(05:40):
watch it frightening, frightening, And from the looks of things, yeah,
Zoran's gonna win in a landslide. What happens next New
York I don't know, I don't know, but I'm not
going watch dog and wall street dot com,
