Speaker 1 (00:00):
The Watchdog on Wall Street podcast explaining the news coming
out of the complex worlds of finance, economics, and politics
and the impact it we'll have on everyday Americans. Author,
investment banker, consumer advocate, analyst, and trader Chris Markowski.
Speaker 2 (00:16):
For me, this is just I'm sorry. It's a no brainer.
Ron DeSantis, no brainer, should be the next president of
the United States. I didn't go back. Remember Sean Hannity
had that little debate between DeSantis and Newsome DeSantis cleaned
his clock. It wasn't even honestly, it wasn't even a
(00:39):
fair fight. For crying out loud. Again, I gotta go back.
He was my choice, my choice president last time around. Again,
the Republican establishment in the magas pushed him out and
tried to, you know, all sorts of horrible things about him,
(01:02):
whatever it may be. And again, he's not the type
you need to get into the He's not going to
win an insult game with Donald Trump. It's just the
way it is. And I guess many people played into that.
I want to go over just some of the latest
numbers here out of Again I'm biased.
Speaker 1 (01:19):
This is my state.
Speaker 2 (01:21):
One hundred and seventeen billion dollar budget that he has
proposed for twenty twenty six twenty seven, one hundred and
seventeen billion dollars is less than New York City's annual budget.
Florida has fifteen million more people. It's a one hundred
billion dollars less than the State of New York's budget,
(01:45):
one hundred billion dollars less. Florida has more residents. We
have the lowest number of state government workers per kapa.
We are either the lowest or the second lowest in
state spending per capita of all fifty states. Let me
(02:08):
just put this in a perspective where some of the
money is going. One hundred and eighteen million dollars is
basically filling up the Florida's rainy day fund constitution. Here
in State of Florida, they have a rainy day fund,
but it can't exceed five billion dollars. We have a
five billion dollar rainy day fund, two hundred and fifty
(02:30):
million dollars and reoccurring accelerated debt repayment to pay down
over fifty percent of Florida's total tax supported debt by
twenty twenty six twenty seven. I mean I can go
through all of the numbers here and quite frankly, they're extraordinary.
I don't don't know what I kind of do know
what's going to happen. De santusan outsider, way outside the
(02:57):
political establishment, and if you follow him at all in
the statements that he makes, they are very very conservative,
very much in line with the lot of the Rand
Paul ideals, Thomas Massey ideals. Is interesting today he puts
something out and basically saying what I say when it
comes to the Federal Reserve, and this is the things
(03:18):
that he can talk about because he's that bright about
the federal Reserve and talking about inflation and talking about
higher unemployment and he oh, well, that's the problem with
the dual mandate. Yeah, yeah, he understands all of this.
(03:39):
You're gonna wait and see, They're gonna see the writing
on the wall. And I'm sure, I'm sure the you know,
because again, the establishment wants the people that are in
charge now. They want either Rubio or JD. Vance And
that's that's the direction that they're going to head. And
they're gonna try to work Rod de Santas every chance
(04:01):
again and again I was the last time around. I also,
you know, I had moving to the state of Florida,
and I said, hey, listen, I want him to finish
out his term, because the greatest governor I've ever seen,
ever seen. I live here. I'm watching it. I'm watching
what's being built. I'm watching what's getting done. I'm watching
how quick it's being done. I'm watching the people that
are moving here. I'm watching the skyscrapers go up. It's
(04:22):
right in front of my very eyes. Okay, never seen
anything like it. Should be done deal, no brainer. For
use the local newspapers. Okay, the Tampa Tribune, which is
a liberal rag. Okay, Tampa Tribune is a liberal rag.
They have to reach, they have to stretch, I mean,
(04:44):
to go after him. He named a couple of groups
here in the state of Florida's you know care and
another one unfriendly you know whatever. Well, I don't know
what they designate. These are the things that they have
to reach for to go after them. A right t
orseudar roof schools going I mean everything again, Wake up, everybody,
(05:06):
this is be on deck period. The end. Watchdog on
