Speaker 1 (00:00):
The Watchdog on Wall Street podcast explaining the news coming
out of the complex worlds of finance, economics, and politics
and the impact that we'll have on everyday Americans. Author,
investment banker, consumer advocate, analyst, and trader Chris Markowski.
Speaker 2 (00:16):
Don't you know your tax rates going up, up, up up.
Speaker 1 (00:20):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (00:20):
I just changed the words to Rolling Stones lyrics shattered there,
big Stones, fan beatles. Okay, Stones far superior, led zepp
one better than them all. But anyway, back to Republicans
caving on everything. Yeah, yeah, from the looks of things
(00:43):
right now, the Republican Party is basically going to say, yeah,
you know that whole supply side thing that we have
been talking about for decades and decades and decades something
we believe in Ronald Reagan's supply, all that good stuff. Yeah,
we're gonna scrap that now. Kay, They're they're gonna, they're
(01:07):
gonna they're gonna scrap that again. If the the Donkeys
weren't so stupid right now, I mean they be running
away with everything, if they weren't so obsessed with open
borders and uh, you know, a million genders and all
sorts of other stuff. Anybody with the slightest resemblance of
(01:30):
Bill Clinton right now. Again, it would be like a
Reagan versus Mondale type of a win for the Dems
because they would just own Republicans. So what you're saying
is that everything that you've been saying for decades is
a lie. You've changed your mind on this, right, And
it's funny. You're gonna watch You're gonna see just just
(01:54):
how chicken what what a bunch of thetic, pathetic human
beings these Republicans are. You're gonna watch them twist themselves
into pretzels trying to justify higher taxes. Watch again, I
don't know they're that afraid of Donald Trump s sheelp.
(02:17):
Pathetic that is, Or maybe again they just love their
life as power people in Washington, d C. That they're
willing to do anything, meaning what they're basically hookers. But
I've already explained that to you before. Yeah, yeah, they're
gonna they're gonna bend over backwards trying to justify higher taxes. Yeah,
it's like, you know, it's like some sort of like uh,
(02:39):
you know thriller movie where the bad guys, uh they
they they threaten threaten someone's children. If you uh, you
don't listen or comply with what we tell you to do.
That's how these Republicans are acting everything that they've said
and talked about. That they're again twisting themselves into pretzels
(03:00):
now to basically justify higher taxes rather than making the
necessary cuts Medicaid, Medicaid. They're folding up on that again.
That you could find a ton there. You can find
a ton again. You look through the numbers. It's the
(03:22):
amount of able bodied men, able bodied men that are
collecting Medicaid, almost seven million that are just bomp checked
out of the workforce and they're able to get Medicaid
and Section eight just a myriad of different things that
we hand out and give away. At what point in
(03:43):
time do we find some Republicans, you know, you give
a little Don corleone there, you know, Johnny Fontaine whining,
I don't know what to do. Gods, I don't know
what to do. Whack, you can act like a man.
How about that? How about telling these men out there
that are taking money out of actual weaker members of
(04:05):
society's pockets, Why don't you tell them to get up
and get a job and act like a man. Oh no,
we can't do that. No, no, no, that that's something
that we really can't do. Yeah, it looks like it
looks like taxes are going up again. You're taking a
look at some of the budget priorities nonsensical and I'm
(04:27):
I'm honest here, you're going over a trillion dollars from
another hundred and fifty hundred and sixty billion for the military. Well,
I guess we need it because we just you know,
we got aircraft carriers there in the Red Sea that
are losing airplanes left and right. They're just falling off
the aircraft carriers. That hasn't made foxes. You know that
we lost two Hornet jets over the past couple of weeks.
(04:50):
Sixty million dollars a pop fell off. The aircraft carrier
fell off to sixty million dollars jets. Say, we got
it all going on. You know that money will solve
that problem. Sure, we spend more money and most certainly
will solve the problem. We most certainly should be sending
pete pete. Haggs have more money when they can't when
(05:10):
a Pentagon can't pass an audit, right right right, I'll
get in. You know those military contractors, they you know,
military industrial complex. They write out big checks, write out
big checks. They're in all these districts here there. Give
me notice that they're smart. It's just smart, these military
contractors are they They spread They spread their locales all
(05:38):
over the country, all over the They're here, there and everywhere,
like whoa lucky, you know there's b a They're everywhere.
So once they get into you know, all these places
around the country, then you know politicians are make sure
that they're they're getting funded. You know, it's amazing, it
really is. Oh yeah, and then you got the the
(06:00):
Republicans in the blue states there is mostly New York right,
the salt deduction, state and local tax deduction. Again, this
whacked me this way. I talked about this here on
the show, but was twenty seventeen. Twenty seventeen, I said,
you know they're eliminating, well, they're reducing the state and
(06:22):
local tax deduction. Again, I lived in New York high
property taxes, forget about the state income taxes. I mean,
like thinking about it quite frankly, but I said fair,
I said fair. I said, I don't. I don't deserve this,
this tax deduction. Why should Why should the citizens of
(06:47):
other states subsidize my tax return. It's not fair, it's wrong.
And again you got these Mike Laws and Stephan Aly,
these types out there. Wow, we ten more money to Washington, DC.
We pay more in Texas. Give me a break. Okay,
you're gonna go back. You're gonna take a look about
the amount of money over the years that the federal
(07:10):
government has sent the state of New York or other
blue states when it comes to come on infrastructure, a
myriad of things. Come on, stop, all right, it's a scam.
All right, Why don't you focus on getting your state
to lower taxes? What's the incentive? Now, there's no incentive
to lower taxes, and you gotta write it off on
(07:32):
your federal taxes. Again, it's wrong. But again I guess
those Republicans are not going to cave. They upped the
cap to thirty thousand dollars, and these Republicans said, no
higher taxes. Okay, so my taxes are going up. Looks
like it looks like my taxes are going up. And
I'm going to be consistent with what I've said about
(07:54):
higher taxes for a very long period of time. I've
been saying the same thing going I talked about this
a long time ago. I said, listen, you want to
you want to approach You want to approach me like
a an honest broker, an honest broker, and and come
(08:15):
to me and say, you know, Chris, we're gonna have
to raise your tax is going to all these people
are gonna We're gonna have to raise your taxes. Okay.
You know you said, fine, Okay, we've got a we've
got a fiscal situation we've got to deal with for
thirty six trillion dollars in that. You know, I wouldn't mind.
I'm telling you right now, I wouldn't mind if you do.
(08:42):
Know what. You balance the budget, You cut out all
the wasteful spending. You balance the budget. You look to
put we we were no longer running deficits. We're no
longer going taking two steps forward five steps backward every
damn year because I know that my tax dollars that
(09:04):
I'm sending you is just going to be wasted. You
balance the budget, and then you almost approach it like
a war. It almost put it like what you see.
It's like when they sold war bonds for crying out loud.
You balance the budget, You cut spending, you cut the
growth of government, and you say to people say, you
know what, this money is going to be earmarked, ear
(09:27):
marked to reduce our nation's debt.
Speaker 1 (09:32):
You know what.
Speaker 2 (09:34):
I do that because I know you know what that's
that's an investment in the country, that's an investment in
our country's future, in my kids. I could justify that
this You're just going to piss it away. You're just
going to piss it away, just like you know I
mentioned earlier on a podcast this past week. Those identifies
(09:55):
all of these things that need to be cut. Supposed
to have a vote on it this week. Yeah, nah, Again,
I said it from the very beginning. I watched this thing.
I was all excited about what Dozer was doing, the
things are putting forward. And then I watched and I said,
you know what, Elon Musk is going to regret this.
He's going to regret this. I hope he does not
(10:17):
become a jaded person. Okay, he's going to regret this
whole Doze thing because he's going to look at it
and say, what did I do? Okay. They the left
wing media came after me, they calling me a Nazi,
They hit my stock, they give people help ruin my
brand for what?
Speaker 1 (10:39):
For what?
Speaker 2 (10:41):
I put the work in, identify all this stuff and
they do nothing.
Speaker 1 (10:47):
Nothing.
Speaker 2 (10:47):
And now now Donald Trump, Donald Trump wants to come
and raise my taxes. Yeah, he's playing koy about it too.
Speaker 1 (10:58):
Much, Jolie.
Speaker 2 (10:59):
They want to do it, I would support it. You break.
We all know. Everyone knows you like it comes out
on to social any lies. We all know it's all
out there. You approach Mike Johnson, you say, listen, you
gotta raise taxes. Okay, what am I new when I
