Speaker 1 (00:00):
The Watchdog on Wall Street podcast explaining the news coming
out of the complex worlds of finance, economics, and politics
and the impact it we'll have on everyday Americans author,
investment banker, consumer advocate, analyst, and trader Chris Markowski.

Speaker 2 (00:16):
Europe continues to circle the drain. It's getting worse instead
of better over there. It really is. Again, I follow
what's going on across the pond, and I want to
see how trade is going to be conducted. They are
in deep, deep trouble over there. Yesterday you had the

(00:39):
German government collapse. Their coalition, They're ruling coalition fell apart.
These countries continue to be completely unable to get out
of their own way, and it's all self inflicted nonsense.
And so also at the point in time where their
biggest industry over in Europe is finding American tech companies.

(01:00):
It's the biggest business out there outside of what the
the what is it? The Danish company nov Noa disc there,
the obesity drug pharmaceutical company. I mean, what else do
you do over there? You've got what was considered over
their national champion type companies. Michelan laying people off, Volkswagen

(01:24):
laying people off, the car industry in Germany completely falling
apart again. Europe is becoming an open air museum. With
the election of Donald Trump, without a doubt, it's got

(01:44):
to be unsettling in many capitals around Europe because quite frankly,
he's not going to put up with their bs. He's
not going to put up with the shakedowns. She's not
going to do it. Oh, you're going to go after
our companies with ridiculous fines. Here, I'll tear if your ass.
And that's what he's going to do. If Europe is smart,

(02:08):
they would actually make changes. They would make changes into
how they go about doing it. It's not going to
be easy by any stretch of the imagination, but they
need to become more competitive, and competition is a good thing.
We want to compete, we want we want them to
do well. We want them to be able to buy

(02:31):
our products. We want them to be able to contribute
to NATO and defense. But the route that they're going
on now is not.

Speaker 1 (02:41):
Going to work.

Speaker 2 (02:42):
Doing the same thing over and over again expecting different results.
We all know that that's stupidity. Certain countries, without a doubt,
have improved, but you want to see where the real
growth is and that's extraordinary. Look to Eastern Europe. Look
to many of these countries in the Eastern Europe, these

(03:03):
former communist countries, they get it. They get it. They
don't like the whole socialism, communism, they live through it,
and take a look at the type of growth that
is taking place over there. At some point in time,
the rest of the European Union, well they better wake

(03:24):
up because again they're circling the drain. Watchdog on Wall
