Republicans roll out what even the Wall Street Journal calls “better” healthcare ideas—but better doesn’t mean good. From association health plans to modest regulatory relief, the GOP offers small steps while insurance companies keep cashing checks. Meanwhile, Democrats push exactly what Obamacare was designed to deliver all along: Medicare for All. In this episode, Chris breaks down why the ACA was built to fail, how expiring subsidies are being used as leverage, and why calling healthcare a “human right” opens a Pandora’s box that the U.S. system—unlike Europe’s—simply isn’t built to handle.

Speaker 1 (00:00):
The Watchdog on Wall Street podcast explaining the news coming
out of the complex worlds of finance, economics, and politics
and the impact it we'll have on everyday Americans. Author,
investment banker, consumer advocate, analyst, and trader Chris Markowski.

Speaker 2 (00:16):
It's free yep. The donkeys are pushing Medicare for all
and that was always the endgame, it was. Republicans have
actually put out some okay ideas. Okay, could be better
obviously much better returner than Medicare for all. Again, they

(00:43):
want to expand insurance choices for employers and workers. The
left does not like the fact that it doesn't extend
Obamacare subsidies, which expire on December thirty. First again, the
bill would make the GOP bill would make it easier
for small businesses to escape the Obamacare regulatory morass. The

(01:06):
bill would expand so called association health plans that let
small employers unite to sponsor group health plans. These plans
would reduce premiums by expanding risk pools and give smaller
employers more leverage with insurers. It is a small step,
a small step in the right direction. Is it going

(01:29):
to lower costs by much? No? No, They have similar
plans like this right now where you partner ups. They
allow small businesses to partner up with various union plans.
And it's still inefficient, inexpensive, and insurance companies there's still
making a lot of money. They can do much better

(01:50):
than this. They can, being honest, they can't. Even the
Wall Street Journal calls it the GOPS better healthcare ideas.
It's better, but it's still half ass. It's still half assed.
And that was one of the great lessons taught to
me by my father. Don't do stuff half ass. And

(02:14):
that's what Republicans are doing again. This is going to
allow them to continue to get checks from insurance companies.
The endgame, the endgame for Democrats when it came to Obamacare,
this was by design. Again we told you this was
We weren't the only ones. Limbaugh talked about this too.
Obamacare was designed to fail, was designed to be a disaster.

(02:42):
It is so Democrats are a basic you were Republicans.
You're not going to extend all this case people can't
afford out the turance and again they're going to either
force Republicans to again blow another half a trillion dollars
on you know, Obamacare subsidies paid to insurance companies, or

(03:04):
they want single payer. Rocanna was being interviewed and Democrat California.
He actually he actually said that the ACA slowed slowed
the growth of health insurance. What planet are you on?

(03:25):
And he talked about again he's saying it medicare for all.
They need Medicare for all. The old Bernie Sanders has
been pushing this forever in ten days with the usual
wait for it, healthcare is a human right. Healthcare is

(03:45):
a human right, according to Rocanna, according to the Democrats.
And my argument has always been this, Okay, it's a
human right. Is a human right? Is shelter also a

(04:10):
human right? If it's a human right, what you're saying,
what you're saying is that it must be provided for
by I guess society. If if it's a human right,
then you know you're you're entitled to it. I mean

(04:33):
you you you could walk into any doctor's office and
demand demand whatever service that you want because it's a
human right. That my logic flawed here at all. That
that's that's what they're saying. And looks like that's what

(04:55):
the push is going to be. It was always and
you can go back. You don't believe me, go on YouTube,
go see some of the statements made by Obama at
the time, even prior to Obamacare being instituted. You know,
this was this is was their desire, This was their endgame.
European style healthcare system for all. I don't know how

(05:22):
that works here in the United States. I don't, I don't,
I don't know if you're aware of this. You know,
most doctors in Europe that they're not making a lot
of money. They go to college, it doesn't cost them anything.

(05:42):
They don't have all of this debt that's involved. They
don't have all of the overhead that we have here
in the United States, and you know, various different things. Also,
you know, you don't have the the tour attorneys, sue
and everybody like they do over there. I mean, do
you understand that it's like putting a square peg in
a round hole here in the United State if you

(06:03):
try to pull this off, do you understand then all
the other things that would have to change drastically? I again, okay,
it's a right. Well then guess what you know? Why
shouldn't food be a right? Why shouldn't anybody be you know,
food is a human right. Healthcare is a human right.
Housing is you. You should be entitled to a house,

(06:23):
got there, Society should pay for it. Food you know,
go in to grocery store. You could eat whatever you want.
It's a human right. Again, my wrong here in my logic.
Pull me wrong. I'm just waiting here. Watchdog and Wall
