Chris discusses the ambitious $500 billion "Stargate" AI initiative backed by major players like Larry Ellison and SoftBank. While some hail it as a move to place America at the forefront of AI, others, including Elon Musk, raise concerns about feasibility and the implications of mRNA technology integration. Markowski emphasizes the importance of free-market investment over taxpayer-funded public-private partnerships. www.watchdogonwallstreet.com

Speaker 1 (00:00):
The Watchdog on Wall Street podcast explaining the news coming
out of the complex worlds of finance, economics, and politics
and the impact it will have on everyday Americans. Author,
investment banker, consumer advocate, analyst, and trader Chris Markowski.

Speaker 2 (00:16):
Much ado about stargate. What is this thing? What is
this massive investment that's being made? Trump standing up there
at the podium, Yeah, I got Ellison, you got all Man,
you got Sun from Sunbank, all these guys Soft Bank,
excuse me, all these guys want to spend five hundred
billion dollars putting America at the forefront of AI technology.

(00:43):
Well you got to collect a freak out out there
as well. People even within inside Trump World, Elon Musk
pouring cold water on the idea, saying, yeah, I'm not
so sure about this. I know Sun doesn't have funds
necessary for this. And again he and Sam Altman don't

(01:04):
exactly get along very much because of the whole AI nonsense.
Ellison putting out information and talking about an m RNA vaccine, Now,
I get it. You want technology out there, it's able
to analyze one's blood and detect early stage cancer. I
get it. But any he starts talking about taking a vaccine,

(01:25):
an m RNA vaccine. No, There'll be a cold day
in hell before I inject myself again with any m
r NA vaccine. Again, what we do know is what
is that we don't know? Okay, massive massive investment here
in the United States, which I don't have any problem with. Again,

(01:46):
you got the people, the scared of scared of sky
net terminator types out there that are worried that you know,
they're gonna the computers are gonna come for us. Not
so sure, not so sure. We do know that the
rest of the world is doing this, so we better compete.
We got to better compete. And the one good thing
about this entire Stargate thing is that, as far as

(02:10):
I know, as far as I know, Trump was up
with them there yesterday, this was not a public private partnership.
That's important. That's important. Again, I don't have any problem
with the federal government getting rid of regulations and encouraging
people to go out there and build and create. I

(02:31):
don't like it when they take our tax dollars and
decide to hand it off to private entities. They want
to they want to go build this super computer out there.
So I don't know where they're gonna go ahead and
do it. Have at it. Best of luck to you.
See what you come up with. Okay, that's the free
market at work. When you start taking my money, we
start taking the taxpayers money. Eh, that's a bit problematic

(02:55):
again Stargate, the movie was good. We'll see what happens
with the supercomputer watchdog on Wall Street dot Com.
