Speaker 1 (00:00):
The Watchdog on Wall Street podcast explaining the news coming
out of the complex worlds of finance, economics, and politics
and the impact it we'll have on everyday Americans. Author,
investment banker, consumer advocate, analyst and trader, Chris Markowski.

Speaker 2 (00:16):
National Security and Vito Corleone I talked about this here
on the podcast a while back. I can't remember exactly why.
Probably had to do with Americans being held hostage in
various different places Russia, whatever it may be, places around

(00:38):
the globe. I ran I said, you know, we have
to have we have to have leadership from on high,
basically basically just laying down the wall like Vito Corleoni did.
This was that, you know, in the first Godfather movie,
they're having a meeting with the various different families and

(00:58):
he basically tells everyone that he wants to bring his
son back from from Sicily, and he warns everybody. He says,
you know, listen, anything's going to happen to my son.
You know, if you get struck, you know, anything, get
struck by a bolt of lightning, I'm going to start
blaming people in this room. And you know my suggestion was,

(01:21):
that's my opinion. How we should work. When it comes
to Americans, you're going to do anything to an American citizen.
You're going to harm a hair on the head of
an American citizen overseas, We're coming after you. We're coming
after We're coming after you hard. And I was blown away,

(01:41):
boned away. Some of these people actually listen to me
for crying out loud. You got the incoming National security advisor,
Mike Waltz interviewed, and he put a warning out to
the world right out of Vito Corleone. You take an American,
you will legally detain them. If you're a nation state,
or if you're a terrorist, you hold them hostage. There

(02:04):
is going to be all hell to pay. There are
going to be nothing but consequences for you financially and
maybe even a bullet in your damn forehead. If you
take an American, period, America will be safe and respected again.
I like it. I like it a lot. Watchdog on
