The Nashville special election highlights a recurring problem: outsiders buying influence, parties misreading voters, and the same ideological mistakes playing out again and again. We revisit Limbaugh’s “Operation Chaos,” the Clinton–Obama convention chaos, and why Democrats keep running candidates who fit New York City better than middle America. Add in a simple solution for money in politics, and this episode pulls back the curtain on how both parties sabotage themselves.

Speaker 1 (00:00):
The Watchdog on Wall Street podcast explaining the news coming
out of the complex worlds of finance, economics, and politics
and the impact it we'll have on everyday Americans. Author,
investment banker, consumer advocate, analyst and trader Chris Markowski.

Speaker 2 (00:16):
Nashville and Operation Chaos, Operation Chaos ring a bell to you.

Speaker 3 (00:22):
Well, we'll get into that in a bit.

Speaker 2 (00:23):
So there, Oh my god, all eyes on what was
it the seventh district and Tennessee and who's going to
win this election? And how why is this election going
to be? Well, was a district that Trump won by
this many points? And this one's this and anyway not
neither here that I don't know what the spread was

(00:44):
like seven nine point difference. Again, this is a special election,
which makes it difficult as it is to get people
to come out to the polls. But it's interesting some
of the chatter out there. And we're guards to the
young lady that was running for the Democrats, and I'm

(01:06):
going to be honest with you, I don't even remember
her name. Against not my district. I don't pay close
attention to certain parts of the country where again it
doesn't influence me. Again, this is something that I happen
to believe in. You want to talk about reform in
this country. You want to get money out of politics.

(01:27):
Been saying this for decades now, Real simple, real simple.
If you can't vote for the person, you cannot give
them any money, period the end. Again, people from outside
the district, if you don't live in that district, well
you cannot donate a dime to that candidate, in the

(01:50):
same way that foreigners are not allowed to donate to
candidates here in the United States. Just think about that.
Keep all of it. It would keep right wing money, keep
the Koch Brothers money out, would keep Hollywood's money out
of various different districts. They don't live there, but they
want to influence an election. No, this is where we
get back to the federalist concept that we're supposed to

(02:13):
have people representing their district states' rights. They wouldn't be
beholden to all of these big money districts. Interesting solution, huh. Anyway,
neither here nor there. I was thinking about this, and
I know, reading up some of the things that this
young lady I can't remember her name, doesn't even matter,

(02:33):
things that she said, and they was.

Speaker 3 (02:37):
Trump Coliner was Coliner Nashville's aoch.

Speaker 2 (02:41):
Yeah, yeah, far left wing loom.

Speaker 3 (02:45):
And thinking about it and it reminded me. Reminded me.

Speaker 2 (02:50):
This is going back when Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton
were faced off for the Democratic nomination.

Speaker 4 (02:59):
And Barack hadn't really closed the deal, but it was
really really close to him finishing Hillary Clinton off and
Rush Limbost on his program this thing called an Operation
Chaos where he was telling people to register as Democrats

(03:19):
in these remaining states and vote for Hillary to throw
things into a big mess for the Democrats.

Speaker 3 (03:27):
It was kind of funny at the time, really was.

Speaker 2 (03:31):
But anyway, neither here nor there, And I was at
that Democratic convention and Denver and it was chaotic, and
this is true story. The Hillary people did not because
they have those super delegates within the Democratic Party they
want Hillary was going to not give them up, and
they were going to go to Hillary and it was
going to throw the thing into a big mess. Back

(03:52):
room deal has caught. Hillary Clinton is named Secretary of
State and then she was next in line after Barack,
and uh, well that's how it played out. Anyway, neither
here nor there. If Democrats continue to run these far
far left people and give me a break with New

(04:13):
York City. Okay, that's yeah, that's not the entire country,
it's not Nashville.

Speaker 3 (04:20):
They're going to lose.

Speaker 2 (04:23):
They're going to continue to lose. I, for the life
of me failed to understand why they continue to pander
to the far left parts of their party.

Speaker 3 (04:35):
It's a loser. It's a loser.

Speaker 2 (04:41):
We talked about, you know, it was that piece that
Roman Manuel put out was a week or two ago
here on the program. Funny thing is, I mean it's
like they're right there, they're right there based upon the
poll numbers.

Speaker 3 (04:56):
Uh, you throw out any sort.

Speaker 2 (04:58):
Of Clintonian type of Bill Clinton type of character there,
that's a win. It's amazing that they haven't figured that
out yet. Watch Dog on Wall Street dot com
