Speaker 1 (00:00):
The Watchdog on Wall Street podcast explaining the news coming
out of the complex worlds of finance, economics, and politics
and the impact it will have on everyday Americans. Author,
investment banker, consumer advocate, analyst, and trader Chris Markowski.

Speaker 2 (00:16):
Trump, Yeah, he went there, he did. He went there.
Couldn't help himself. Couldn't help himself. He posted a AI
generated image of himself as the Pope, and of course,
the the Internet and social media and went nuts, went nuts.

(00:40):
Some people absolutely freaking out over the entire thing. Other
people saying, it's just a joke, no big deal, no
big whoop, whatever it may be. I am going to
give you my take on the entire thing. Did I
like it? No, I'm Catholic. I didn't like it. I

(01:03):
thought it was completely out of line. Uh, stupid, not
something that that I would do. With that being said,
is at the end of the world. No, no, it's not.
I'm gonna go back in time again. I remember we

(01:25):
had a discussion about it was the ridiculous opening ceremonies
to the Paris Olympics and obviously openly mocking Christianity. I'm
not going to go back. I did podcasts on it,
and what did I say at the time. I say,

(01:45):
at the time, these are people that you pray for.
These are people that you pray for. They you know, again,
you're not again. Your first reaction is to obviously, if
you know someone of faith and you feel that it
was you know, blasphemous, that you're going to get angry
over it. But then again you've got to understand that
you have to pray for these people and hope them

(02:07):
that they can see the error of their ways. And
I don't know if Trump is going to see the
air of his ways, but I hope he does. Again,
not a good look. You're going to tick off a
lot of people around the country. One of the interesting
thing was too, is to seeing a lot of the
left wingers that have a this you know, aversion uh

(02:31):
to religion, you know, getting all bent out of shape
over this, and then the the the conservatives.

Speaker 3 (02:37):
And the Mago Times saying, oh that's a fine thing.
Now you're getting all of a sudden, you're defending the pupe,
You're defending two thousand of you hate religion people. Okay,
you don't have to. You shouldn't justify you know, bad
behavior with other bad behavior, and that's what you're seeing
going back and forth with this again. And you know,

(03:00):
Donald Trump is going to be Donald Trump. You know,
they says it's Joe Biden being Joe Biden. This is
Donald Trump being Donald Trump. I don't like. It doesn't
sit well with me. Again, I hope he sees the
aeron his ways and this I'm not so sure, but again,
not not the end.

Speaker 2 (03:20):
Of the world. There was blowback various different Catholic circles
and certain bishops whatever it may be, and then they're
you know, all then there's blowback against them. Oh you
didn't say anything about this, and you know, stop stop.
I mean, you're not gonna get anywhere with this. You

(03:41):
know as well as I know that it was in
poor taste. It was in poor taste. Wasn't funny. Again,
I expect a little bit more. I mean, sometimes you
get sometimes you get jokes from comedians that might be
in poor taste that don't go over well, but they're comedians.
I understand that. You know, Trump is the entertainer first

(04:02):
and foremost. We all know that. But again, you're you're
also president of the United States, and I think you
should know better. And I hope hope he doesn't do
this again. But other than that, I mean to find
yourself getting into your these social media battles, back and
forth online, arguing with people. You know, there's there's better
things to do on a Sunday, I don't know, maybe
