and the impact it will have on everyday Americans. Author,

Speaker 2 (00:16):
Post Office, You're fired. Yeah, I'm done, just about done.
And again I'm not the only one I've had. It's
getting worse instead of better. You know, It's amazing to
me in today's day and age, with all of the
technology that is available, that the post office sucks to

(00:40):
the degree that it does. I'm getting more and more
stories out there people all over the country with the
amount of bank fraud, stolen checks, mail not being delivered,
mail not being received. It is awful length the editorial

(01:01):
in the Wall Street Journal this past week with a
guy chronicling what he went through. They actually found out
who the guy was stole his his tax check. They
know who it was. Then they still haven't done a
damn thing. Haven't tried because I'd had to this past
year how to get involved with the postal police. They

(01:23):
don't do anything. They don't do anything because it's again
it's like they're going after their own It's like a
little fraternity that they have there. Yeah, I was not
getting my mail. Moved into a new house, and again
I know how it works at the post office. As

(01:44):
it turns out, they again, no one was at the
actual property that I'm living in right now for an
extended period of time. I guess they stopped having a
box for it there. Went in let them know that
I moved in. They never put one there. I guess
they're just throwing my mail out. So, you know, late
notices coming in or I'm finding out getting phone calls,

(02:06):
you haven't paid your bills, all this nonst Again, it's
just their laziness. So again, what I'm recommending, what I'm recommending,
and again I'm doing it. I'm doing again. I'm not much,
you know for New Year's resolutions. We talked about that before.
But yeah, bookkeeping, bookkeeping for the Markowski household and Markowski

(02:29):
Investments moving forward, I'm moving at all. It's all electronic.
I'm not I am going to strive by the end
of January not to send a single check through the mail.
That's right, that's right. I'd be happy to take my
business away from the godforsaken post office watchdog on Wall Street.

Cardiac Cowboys

Cardiac Cowboys

The heart was always off-limits to surgeons. Cutting into it spelled instant death for the patient. That is, until a ragtag group of doctors scattered across the Midwest and Texas decided to throw out the rule book. Working in makeshift laboratories and home garages, using medical devices made from scavenged machine parts and beer tubes, these men and women invented the field of open heart surgery. Odds are, someone you know is alive because of them. So why has history left them behind? Presented by Chris Pine, CARDIAC COWBOYS tells the gripping true story behind the birth of heart surgery, and the young, Greatest Generation doctors who made it happen. For years, they competed and feuded, racing to be the first, the best, and the most prolific. Some appeared on the cover of Time Magazine, operated on kings and advised presidents. Others ended up disgraced, penniless, and convicted of felonies. Together, they ignited a revolution in medicine, and changed the world.
