Chris reflects on the death of Dick Cheney, owning up to the mistakes he made in the early 2000s—and then turns to the astonishing scene at Cheney’s funeral. With political rivals, media figures, and Washington insiders all gathered together, the event looked less like a memorial and more like a Bond-villain board meeting. An eye-opening discussion about the illusion of political conflict, the permanence of the power class, and the “big club” George Carlin warned about.

Speaker 1 (00:00):
The Watchdog on Wall Street podcast, explaining the news coming
out of the complex worlds of finance, economics, and politics
and the impact it we'll have on everyday Americans. Author,
investment banker, consumer advocate, analyst and trader, Chris Markowski.

Speaker 2 (00:16):
James Bond, and the Dick Cheney Funeral. I was going
to do a podcast two weeks ago when Dick Cheney died,
and I had a lot prepared on this, And yeah,
I'm going to go back in time because I can
admit when I'm wrong. I bought all of the things

(00:43):
that the Bush Administranty and Cheney and Rumsfeld said at
the time. I did. I did, and I was wrong.
I was wrong, And I'm going to actually, you know,
I'm working on almost kind of like the memoirs of
Watchdog on Wall Street Show and Markowski Investments right now.
I'm gonna have a book that we're working on right now. Now.

(01:06):
I'm gonna make that a chapter of the book where
I was wrong and that that that was huge, that
all those people that were protesting in the streets of
New York when I lived in New York at the
time against there, they were right, they were right. And yeah,

(01:28):
again it's embarrassing. But anyway, you know, I'm not gonna
I'm not going to, you know, jump all over the
man's grave my any stretched imagination. Right now, I've gone
over enough my belief in the blood that those you know,
these people have on their hands. I want to talk
about the funeral funeral yesterday, I believe. I mean, who would.

Speaker 3 (01:52):
Have thought again, would this ever be on you know,
let's go back to like two thousand and four, two
thousand and five, when the folks on MSNBC basically saying
the same things I say about Trump now about Dick
Cheney and George W. Bush, Nazi, Nazi, Nazi, you know,

(02:13):
all sorts of stuff. Would it be on your bingo
card back in let's say two thousand and five that
the Dick Cheney funeral would be heard on MSNBC.

Speaker 2 (02:24):
Yeah, on m s NBC. Well one would have been
on my card at that point in time. But let's
let's take a look. I mean, did you see the
people there? This is where I bring up James Bond.
I'm watching a little bit of this yesterday in or
reminded me of it reminded me of the the funeral scene,

(02:48):
the funeral scene and Spectra in James Bond, The James
Bond movie. Remember where you know Monica Blucci. James Bond
runs into Monica Blucci. There Monica Blucci fan as well.
But anyway, all the all the bad guys, all the
bad guys. Okay, they were at a funeral for a
member a terrorist. It was a terrorist funeral in Rome,

(03:11):
and they're all the spectra bad guys were there at
this field. Did you see who was there? Holy George Conway,
Nancy Pelosi, Bill Crystal, Bob Woodward, James Carville, Adam Schiff,
all of Liz Cheney's buddies from the January sixth Committee,

(03:33):
Joe Biden, Anthony Fauci, Kamala Harris, George Bush, Mike Pence,
Mitch McConnell, Lindsey Graham. I go on down the list.

Speaker 3 (03:45):
There was a who's who the Deep State and neo
cons come in out.

Speaker 2 (03:51):
Of the woodwork. Rachel Maddow sitting next to Fauci. They're
all chums, basically proving my point that a lot of these,
you know, the arguments and debates and fights that you see,

(04:14):
they're not real. Well, they're real in the sense that
they're actually conducting, but why it's for your consumption? Do
you understand? That was that was a big club. That
was That was Carlin's big club. That was the Watchdog

(04:35):
on Wall Street, Access of Evil that they were all there,
they were all there yesterday again, couldn't help myself, but yeah,
it was like it was like a Spectro funeral for
crying out loud Watchdog on Wall Street dot com
