Speaker 1 (00:00):
The Watchdog on Wall Street podcast explaining the news coming
out of the complex worlds of finance, economics, and politics
and the impact it we'll have on everyday Americans. Author,
investment banker, consumer advocate, analyst, and trader Chris Markowski.

Speaker 2 (00:16):
This is problem with headlines. Okay, US is cracking down,
cracking down on visus. Fifty five million foreigners with US visas.
We're looking for any violations whatsoever. We're going to review
all fifty five million visas, and of course social media
everybody has.

Speaker 3 (00:37):
Fifty five million. You don't understand, well, the population of
Canada is smaller than that. We got fifty five million
people in the country.

Speaker 2 (00:45):
With visas, and it just snowballs, snowballs and snowballs because
people don't look any deeper besides what's here, rather than
actually see everything in the forest for the trees. No, okay,
fifty five million foreigners having visas. My wife's family has visus.

(01:11):
They're from Greece. They can't come here. The overwhelming bulk
of these fifty five million visas are tourist visas that
people have. The numbers right now, you're talking about green cards.
There's twelve point eight million green card holders and three
point six million people in the United States on temporary visas,

(01:37):
and you want to look further into those, fine, but
you're going to really spend the time looking at tourist visas.
And for all you people that have a collective freak
out when you see this, do yourself a favor. Okay,
after you read something, after I'm just saying this, okay,
ask yourself, does that really sound right? Does that sound

(01:57):
right that we have fifty five i've million people in
the United States here on a visa at any given time. No, no,
it doesn't sound right. So again, don't run with it.
Do a little bit more homework. Watchdog on Wall Street
