On this Watchdog on Wall Street episode, Chris Markowski unpacks the latest polling that shows Donald Trump’s economic numbers slipping—while Democrats somehow manage to fare even worse. From manufacturing job losses and sinking consumer confidence to Biden’s empty promises of a future boom, the disconnect grows wider. Meanwhile, Democrats push “free everything” policies that only rack up costs, leaving voters disillusioned. With AOC grabbing the spotlight and the Schumer shutdown looming, the left looks leaderless, feckless, and out of ideas.

Speaker 1 (00:00):
The Watchdog on Wall Street podcast explaining the news coming
out of the complex worlds of finance, economics, and politics
and the impact it we'll have on everyday Americans. Author,
investment banker, consumer advocate, analyst, and trader Chris Markowski.

Speaker 2 (00:16):
I guess it's got some new polling Gurulever at CINAN,
he's on all the time, and he's been pointing to
Donald Trump's weakening, weakening poll numbers, especially when it comes
to the economy. And yeah, I knew this was coming.
Wasn't a matter of if. It was a matter of
when you know, Trump rolls out, you know, the Howard

(00:39):
Lutnik ventriloquist dummy who's telling everybody that it's just awesome
out there. It's so funny. Letnix get interviewed about manufacturing,
and the interviews like, we've lost eighty thousand manufacturing jobs. Oh,
but those aren't really that's Biden, it's two thou. I
guess the new thing is two thousand in twenty six

(01:01):
is going to be the Trump economy and everything's going
to boom. Then hey, hey, Howard, I hope you're right.
But consumer confidence continues to weaken, a growing concern about
jobs again, that can be a fickle number. However, the

(01:23):
ADP number No Bueno that came out today was down
over thirty thirty thousand plus jobs, and the revisions in
prior months were to the downside. This is the reality
of the terrain. Again. We have areas of our economy

(01:47):
that are doing very very well. Obviously, talk about AI
and what's taking place there. Again, I'm not sure how
that's going to all play out and who's going to capitalize,
who is going to capitalize, and uh, how it's gonna work.
Was actually interesting little side note. Even the governor here
in the state of Florida is like, whoa hold on

(02:09):
a second.

Speaker 3 (02:09):
Here, you want to build uh, you want to build
these uh these you know, these various different data centers
here in the state of Florida, And you want to
make our citizens' electricity prices go up.

Speaker 2 (02:21):
You want to make the water costs covies like, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no,
You're gonna have to pay for that. Again, somebody is
gonna have to pay at some point in time. Let's
just leave it at that. But yeah, okay, we're trying
to lead the world in this. It's it's almost like
a Manhattan Project type of a race between the United
States and China at this point in time. And I'm

(02:44):
sure the you know, Europeans will be great, they'll find
a way to regulate it. We'll say time. But but anyway, overall,
people are not happy. People are concerned that that is
the reality, mister president. Now, what's amazing to me, it's
amazing to me is that the donkeys are so pathetic

(03:08):
and the same little pole guy on CNN is pointing
out just how awful. He says, Oh, you know, you've
got Democrats are looking at Trump's poll numbers and how
far that they are down. But theirs are that much worse.
Think about us here, theirs are that much worse. You know,

(03:28):
Bill Clinton must be sitting around somewhere watching this whole
thing and just laughing, just laughing, because you know, he
he would have run circles around. I mean again, you know,
I'm sure Carville's probably foaming at the mouth because of
what he's seeing with the Democratic Party and all this

(03:50):
socialist communists giveaway everything for free crap. Yeah, that's gonna sell, okay,
and it makes a lot of noise, But a little
bit the people out there that actually want that here
in this country, and man, oh man, man man, dommy
wins in New York City. That's gonna be fun to watch.

(04:12):
I honestly, it is gonna be fun to watch to
see how he's gonna pull that off with all of
his free stuff. It was yesterday he actually admitted he
was doing an interview, actually admitted that his free his
free bus proposal for everyone, free buses, free busses New
York City. Yeah, he it's not free. It's gonna cost

(04:35):
the city eight hundred something. I don't know, eight hundred million.
I don't know how much it was off the charts number.
Somebody's gotta pay. That's the fallacy of free. And again
people are freaking out New York City right now because
they put in the congestion pricing there for driving into
the city. They want to put everybody on the trains

(04:57):
and subways, and they just raised affairs of out on
the trains in summer. Anyway, neither here nor there one
would think. I mean, this is to show you just
how feckless the leftist they got nothing right now zero.
I mean, they usually win when there's government shutdowns, but

(05:17):
the thing is basically called right now the Schumer shutdown.
They're losing in everything, and they've got no leadership, and
the one that's trying to actually take the mantle is
bloody Alexandria Ocazio Cortes. Honestly, the more I think about it,
that movie Idiocrasy it was. That was a documentary too.

Cardiac Cowboys

Cardiac Cowboys

The heart was always off-limits to surgeons. Cutting into it spelled instant death for the patient. That is, until a ragtag group of doctors scattered across the Midwest and Texas decided to throw out the rule book. Working in makeshift laboratories and home garages, using medical devices made from scavenged machine parts and beer tubes, these men and women invented the field of open heart surgery. Odds are, someone you know is alive because of them. So why has history left them behind? Presented by Chris Pine, CARDIAC COWBOYS tells the gripping true story behind the birth of heart surgery, and the young, Greatest Generation doctors who made it happen. For years, they competed and feuded, racing to be the first, the best, and the most prolific. Some appeared on the cover of Time Magazine, operated on kings and advised presidents. Others ended up disgraced, penniless, and convicted of felonies. Together, they ignited a revolution in medicine, and changed the world.
