I was talking about Trump and social securities. Let's dig
into it a little bit. On the ninetieth anniversary of
the Social Security Act, President Trump delivered a stirring proclamation
in the Oval Office, promising to make Social Security great again.
He celebrated the passage of his One Big, Beautiful Bill,
which includes a temporary Senior tax deduction effective eliminating taxes

on soci Security benefits from many recipients aged sixty five
and above. As part of the administration's pushed to root
out fraud, waste, and abuse, Trump touted removing two hundred
and seventy five thousand illegal aliens from the Social Security
system and clearing twelve point four million names listed as
being over one hundred and twenty years old.

He claimed many of these phantom entries were getting benefits.

took credit for significant enhancements in the Social Security Customer
Service US, handling seventy percent more calls, reducing the average
whole time from thirty minutes to six minutes, driving a

dropped twenty three percent, and appointment usage quintupled. I mean,

hit the officer in the chest with a sandwich. I

an employee of the federal government.

Decision, well, I think it's a high time that somebody
did something. DC has had amazingly high crime rates. You know,
it's not rocket science that we're talking about here. If
you want to reduce crime, you have to make it
risk here for criminals to commit crime. And you can
do that with higher rest rates, higher conviction rates, longer
(25:32):
prison sentences. You can also do it help by letting
victims be able to go and defend themselves. DC has
basically done the wrong thing on all those items. On
arrest rates, they have something like one thousand, three hundred
patrol officers in the district that means they have no
(25:52):
more than four hundred on at any point in time
for a district of seven one hundred and twenty one thousand,
They simply you know, it's understandable why the police unions
say that they're stretched too thin. So if Trump's adding
another eight hundred and fifty law enforcement of people there,
that's a huge change in what they're able to go
(26:14):
and cover. You know, with regard to arrest rates, the
US attorney there, who's appointed by the president, is the
one who prosecutes crimes involving adults. During the Biden administration,
the US attorney that he had refused to prosecute two
thirds of the arrests that were made in twenty twenty two,
(26:35):
and still refused to prosecute fifty five percent of the
arrests that were made in twenty twenty three. So not
only weren't you arresting a lot of people, but even
the ones that you were arresting, you weren't prosecuting. And
on top of that, even the ones that they were prosecuting,
particularly juveniles, the district itself is responsible for those cases,

and they were taking them to family court, even seventeen
year olds who had committed very violent crimes, right, and
they weren't getting punishment, and so you know, it's like
they it's Is it surprising that you have a lot
of juvenile crime? Is it surprising? Look, let me just
give you some measures of crime. Twenty twenty three is
the last year that we have complete data for finalized
(27:21):
data from the FBI. DC has a fifty percent higher
murder rate than any of the cities in the top
twenty most populous cities in the country. Wow, they're ah,
their murder rate.

Is Wait, so let me stop present John in the
worst state, John, Let me stop it. How can liberals
look in.

The camera and lie and say crime is down when
you just gave me that stack?

How is it even possible? What are they talking about?

Right? Well, look, it's possible that crime could be down
and still be very high compared to other places. But
you know, we don't know exactly where what's going on with.

But possible the books from Don't you think the books

Right, Well, I mean the police union has complained and
in July this year, and they've been you can see
complaints going all the way back to at least twenty twenty,
where they say that there's been pressure put on officers
to reduce what they're classifying as the crime and the
police report, so that they take things that should have
been felonies and been told to list the mis misdemeanors
(28:31):
so they won't be included in the crime reports they're
put out.

You know, when I watch Blue Bloods, you know, I
know it's been canceled now, but it's one of my
favorite shows all time, maybe my favorite show of all time.
With Tom Sellick, Blue Bloods, and he would preside over
a meeting of all his top captains from every precinct
in New York City, and I remember one episode where
one of them was outshining all the rest, John because
(28:58):
his rates of one specif area I think was violent
crime was like down by ninety percent, and all the
other guys were jealous, and Tom Sellick was praising him,
and he was, you know, he was in line to
be like the next police chief after Tom Sellick. And
then they found out that he was cooking the books
because he was declaring every violent crime as a you know,
a minor crime, So his minor crime was up, but
(29:21):
his violent crime is down that's the kind of games
that politicians and police bureaucrats play. They make believe that
crime is down and it's not down.

Or they don't report it.
Speaker 3 (29:32):
Or how about if crime is so out of control
and you've defunded the police, nobody even bothers to report
robbery anymore, because we know, if you report a car robbery,
nothing happens. Nobody's ever gonna find your car, nobody's going
after them. There are no police, so a lot of
crimes aren't reported anymore.

People have given up.
Speaker 4 (29:48):
Yeah, I know, you you bring up an excellent point. Look,
there are two measures that we have of crime. There's
crimes who poured to police and then from the Bureau
of Justice Statistics. We have a measure of total crime
from the National Crime Victimization Survey. And in the past,
prior to COVID, those two numbers tended to go up
and down together, but since COVID they've really gone in
(30:11):
quite different directions. Yea, And it seems to me people
are much more concerned about total crime than they are
about the number of crimes that are reported to police.
And you know, I'll just give you one example. If
you look at the Bureau of Justice statistics numbers on
total crime during the Biden administration during the first three years,
because we only have data through twenty twenty three, it
(30:32):
increased by fifty five percent. That that's twice as large
as the largest previous three year increase that we had
ever recorded in the time that we'd ever done that.
But at the same time, the FBI data was basically flat.
You know, you'd have a six percent drop in one
year and a four point five percent increase in another year,
(30:54):
and a two percent drop in twenty twenty three. But
you know, what you're saying is exactly right. You look
at the largest cities in twenty twenty two, only twenty
percent of violent of reported violent crimes result in arrest.
Only eight percent of total violent crimes result in arrest.
(31:16):
For property crime in those large cities, only one percent
of total property crimes result in arrest. And so you're
exactly right. I mean, somebody looks at that and they say,
why should I take the time to go and report
these crimes if these guys aren't going to be caught
and punished.

And John, we're not even mentioning the really worst defense.
And I'll tell you what it is. My understanding is
that the reason the FBI stats look flattered down is
because almost all major Democrat cities since COVID have not
reported to the FBI.
Speaker 1 (31:46):
So all you're getting are reports of half the country.
Speaker 3 (31:49):
You're getting Republican mayors reporting their cities, but you're not
getting La doesn't report.
Speaker 1 (31:54):
New York doesn't report.
Speaker 3 (31:55):
Philadelphia doesn't report, Chicago doesn't report, and that's where all
the crime is.

So you might see time is up three.
Speaker 4 (32:02):
Right, that was true for twenty twenty one. We have
two measures from the FBI. We have something called NYBRAS
and then we which still has that problem, that comes
out monthly or quarterly, and for those simply because they
say the reporting requirements are more time consuming, that they
don't do it. But then you have the annual Uniform
(32:23):
Crime Report data and that doesn't have the same problem.
The thing is the Uniform Crime Report data only comes
out once a year. It comes out in September each
year for the previous year, so we don't know what
the FBI data. We won't know for a few weeks
what the FBI data was for twenty twenty four. And well,
we should get the Bureau of Justice statistics numbers out
(32:46):
at the same time for last week.

Well, I know one thing in twenty twenty five, crime
is going to go down and watch.

into it a little bit. On the ninetieth anniversary of
the Social Security Act, President Trump delivered a stirring proclamation
in the Oval Office, promising to make Social Security great again.
He celebrated the passage of his One Big, Beautiful Bill,
which includes a temporary Senior tax deduction effective eliminating taxes
(16:01):
on soci Security benefits from many recipients aged sixty five
and above. As part of the administration's pushed to root
out fraud, waste, and abuse, Trump touted removing two hundred
and seventy five thousand illegal aliens from the Social Security
system and clearing twelve point four million names listed as
being over one hundred and twenty years old.

He claimed many of these phantom entries were getting benefits.

You don't allow everybody in their grandmother who's dead to

that were over one hundred and twenty years old, meaning
you were breaking records because I've never heard of anybody.
At one twenty five, there were nearly one hundred and
thirty five thousand people who were over one hundred and
sixty years old and in some cases still getting payments.

So somebody's getting those payments, and we're after that. Administration
took credit for significant enhancements in the Social Security Customer
Service US, handling seventy percent more calls, reducing the average
whole time from thirty minutes to six minutes, driving a
surge in automated self service options, serving ninety percent of
all calls via technology based solutions. Fields office wait times

dropped twenty three percent, and appointment usage quintupled. I mean,
it's all he knows how to make the trains run
on time, you know.

President Trump's efforts to make DC safe again already yielding results.
Forty five individuals arrested for a wide range of crimes
twenty nine illegals removed. Section seven to forty of the
DC Home Rule Act allows President Trump to take control
of the Metropolitan Police Department under special conditions of an

emergency nature. And you know what could be more of
an emergency than everybody getting killed on the streets of Washington, DC,
including people that work for the government, getting carjack getting
home invaded, getting murdered, getting raped. FBI Director Cash Pattel
announced forty five rests have been made, sixteen of them
tied to a violent crime surge.

Seven year old DC resident Seawan Charles Dunn caught on
tape using a sandwich from subway to attack a federal officer.
According to the criminal complaint, which is obtained by ABC News, Done.

Approached the officer and shouted, you f you fascists, why
are you here?

I don't want you in my city, and then he
hit the officer in the chest with a sandwich. I
found out earlier today. I believe I don't have the
article in front of me, but I saw an article.
Unless I'm crazy, that said he turned out to be
an employee of the federal government.

I believe the DOJ and they fired him today.

sex abuse material, possession of illegal firearms, and drug trafficking,
and twenty nine illegals will removed, many of whom had

with along with the possession of child sex abuse material
and illegal firearms. So sanctuary no more. Trump's federal takeover
of Washington leads to police working with ICE agents. They

They are now going to cooperate with ICE in several ways.

tenth time.

Oh least President Trump decides to federalize the DC police
and sends in the National Guard and the FBI and
summer seeing marines are coming into washingt DC. I don't
know if that's true or not, but certainly FBI and
National Guard.
Speaker 1 (25:08):
Your reaction to Trump's.
Speaker 4 (25:09):
Decision, well, I think it's a high time that somebody
did something. DC has had amazingly high crime rates. You know,
it's not rocket science that we're talking about here. If
you want to reduce crime, you have to make it
risk here for criminals to commit crime. And you can
do that with higher rest rates, higher conviction rates, longer
(25:32):
prison sentences. You can also do it help by letting
victims be able to go and defend themselves. DC has
basically done the wrong thing on all those items. On
arrest rates, they have something like one thousand, three hundred
patrol officers in the district that means they have no
(25:52):
more than four hundred on at any point in time
for a district of seven one hundred and twenty one thousand,
They simply you know, it's understandable why the police unions
say that they're stretched too thin. So if Trump's adding
another eight hundred and fifty law enforcement of people there,
that's a huge change in what they're able to go
(26:14):
and cover. You know, with regard to arrest rates, the
US attorney there, who's appointed by the president, is the
one who prosecutes crimes involving adults. During the Biden administration,
the US attorney that he had refused to prosecute two
thirds of the arrests that were made in twenty twenty two,
(26:35):
and still refused to prosecute fifty five percent of the
arrests that were made in twenty twenty three. So not
only weren't you arresting a lot of people, but even
the ones that you were arresting, you weren't prosecuting. And
on top of that, even the ones that they were prosecuting,
particularly juveniles, the district itself is responsible for those cases,
(26:58):
and they were taking them to family court, even seventeen
year olds who had committed very violent crimes, right, and
they weren't getting punishment, and so you know, it's like
they it's Is it surprising that you have a lot
of juvenile crime? Is it surprising? Look, let me just
give you some measures of crime. Twenty twenty three is
the last year that we have complete data for finalized
(27:21):
data from the FBI. DC has a fifty percent higher
murder rate than any of the cities in the top
twenty most populous cities in the country. Wow, they're ah,
their murder rate.
Speaker 1 (27:37):
Is Wait, so let me stop present John in the
worst state, John, Let me stop it. How can liberals
look in.
Speaker 3 (27:42):
The camera and lie and say crime is down when
you just gave me that stack?
Speaker 1 (27:46):
How is it even possible? What are they talking about?
Speaker 4 (27:50):
Right? Well, look, it's possible that crime could be down
and still be very high compared to other places. But
you know, we don't know exactly where what's going on with.
Speaker 1 (28:00):
But possible the books from Don't you think the books
are cooked?
Speaker 4 (28:06):
Exactly where I was going?
Speaker 1 (28:07):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (28:08):
Right, Well, I mean the police union has complained and
in July this year, and they've been you can see
complaints going all the way back to at least twenty twenty,
where they say that there's been pressure put on officers
to reduce what they're classifying as the crime and the
police report, so that they take things that should have
been felonies and been told to list the mis misdemeanors
(28:31):
so they won't be included in the crime reports they're
put out.
Speaker 3 (28:37):
You know, when I watch Blue Bloods, you know, I
know it's been canceled now, but it's one of my
favorite shows all time, maybe my favorite show of all time.
With Tom Sellick, Blue Bloods, and he would preside over
a meeting of all his top captains from every precinct
in New York City, and I remember one episode where
one of them was outshining all the rest, John because
(28:58):
his rates of one specif area I think was violent
crime was like down by ninety percent, and all the
other guys were jealous, and Tom Sellick was praising him,
and he was, you know, he was in line to
be like the next police chief after Tom Sellick. And
then they found out that he was cooking the books
because he was declaring every violent crime as a you know,
a minor crime, So his minor crime was up, but
(29:21):
his violent crime is down that's the kind of games
that politicians and police bureaucrats play. They make believe that
crime is down and it's not down.
Speaker 1 (29:31):
Or they don't report it.
Speaker 3 (29:32):
Or how about if crime is so out of control
and you've defunded the police, nobody even bothers to report
robbery anymore, because we know, if you report a car robbery,
nothing happens. Nobody's ever gonna find your car, nobody's going
after them. There are no police, so a lot of
crimes aren't reported anymore.
Speaker 1 (29:47):
People have given up.
Speaker 4 (29:48):
Yeah, I know, you you bring up an excellent point. Look,
there are two measures that we have of crime. There's
crimes who poured to police and then from the Bureau
of Justice Statistics. We have a measure of total crime
from the National Crime Victimization Survey. And in the past,
prior to COVID, those two numbers tended to go up
and down together, but since COVID they've really gone in
(30:11):
quite different directions. Yea, And it seems to me people
are much more concerned about total crime than they are
about the number of crimes that are reported to police.
And you know, I'll just give you one example. If
you look at the Bureau of Justice statistics numbers on
total crime during the Biden administration during the first three years,
because we only have data through twenty twenty three, it
(30:32):
increased by fifty five percent. That that's twice as large
as the largest previous three year increase that we had
ever recorded in the time that we'd ever done that.
But at the same time, the FBI data was basically flat.
You know, you'd have a six percent drop in one
year and a four point five percent increase in another year,
(30:54):
and a two percent drop in twenty twenty three. But
you know, what you're saying is exactly right. You look
at the largest cities in twenty twenty two, only twenty
percent of violent of reported violent crimes result in arrest.
Only eight percent of total violent crimes result in arrest.
(31:16):
For property crime in those large cities, only one percent
of total property crimes result in arrest. And so you're
exactly right. I mean, somebody looks at that and they say,
why should I take the time to go and report
these crimes if these guys aren't going to be caught
and punished.
Speaker 3 (31:34):
And John, we're not even mentioning the really worst defense.
And I'll tell you what it is. My understanding is
that the reason the FBI stats look flattered down is
because almost all major Democrat cities since COVID have not
reported to the FBI.
Speaker 1 (31:46):
So all you're getting are reports of half the country.
Speaker 3 (31:49):
You're getting Republican mayors reporting their cities, but you're not
getting La doesn't report.

Crime Report data and that doesn't have the same problem.
The thing is the Uniform Crime Report data only comes
out once a year. It comes out in September each
year for the previous year, so we don't know what
the FBI data. We won't know for a few weeks
what the FBI data was for twenty twenty four. And well,
we should get the Bureau of Justice statistics numbers out

at the same time for last week.
