Speaker 1 (01:22):
Welcome aboard.

Speaker 4 (01:23):
I have a very special guest and over the last
twenty five years of me doing radio, I've built I
think a great relationship with some friends at the Heritage Foundation.
And this gentleman has been on with me a number
of times in the past. He's as smart as it gets.
Hans von Spakowski is joining us from that Heritage Foundation. So, Hans,
good afternoon, Thanks for waiting around. I appreciate it. I

(01:45):
appreciate you coming on.

Speaker 5 (01:47):
Well, thanks for having me.

Speaker 4 (01:49):
So, I know I want to cover two if you
want ow mine, we can cover two topics in the
time that we have. And I know there was a
piece in Fox News which You've been on all these
major networks talking about this, and of course you can
get followed on the X and other locations.

Speaker 1 (02:04):
It's a great follow But Arctic Frost, if you don't.

Speaker 4 (02:08):
Mind, I mean maybe some people out there who don't
know exactly what this is all about, can you give
the abridged version of what Arctic Frost is.

Speaker 6 (02:17):
The Merritt Garland Justice Department during the Biden administration, approved
this huge criminal investigation. It was run by Special Counsel
Jack Smith, same guy that you know, of course, went
after Donald Trump and in essence, anyone who was associated
with Donald Trump. Any conservatives who had voiced opposition to

(02:42):
Biden policies and campaign and who raised questions about the
outcome of the twenty twenty election became the subject of
this huge criminal investigation. It was, frankly one of the
most outrageous abuses government power I've ever seen. What's been

(03:03):
happening recently is cash Betel at the FBI has been
turning over all these documents they've found there to the
US Senator of course from Iowa, Chuck Grassley, and he's
been making this public and to get folks an idea
how big this was. They issued literally almost hundreds hundreds

(03:25):
of subpoenas to seize the banking records, for example, of
all these conservative organizations and individuals, when they had absolutely
no basis for doing that. They even seize the phone
records of nine members of the US Senate and a

(03:46):
member of the US House, which is an unbelievable attack
on Congress. And the very fact that because they raised
questions about the twenty twenty election and they were being
investigated for that. Let me lee make one final thing
about this. People need to understand all of this was

(04:10):
First Amendment protected activity. There is nothing criminal about raising
questions about the outcome of election.

Speaker 5 (04:17):
Even if you're totally wrong, it doesn't matter, right, it
doesn't matter whether you're right or wrong. It's First Amendment
protected activity. This is much worse than Watergate.

Speaker 4 (04:29):
So what's the criminality of it? How do they justify
doing this? What crime?

Speaker 1 (04:34):
What were they looking for?

Speaker 5 (04:37):
They tried to claim that Remember.

Speaker 6 (04:41):
Jack Smith filed a criminal case against Donald Trump in
the federal courts in Washington.

Speaker 3 (04:49):
D c.

Speaker 6 (04:50):
And he tried to claim that this violated He ad
violated federal fraud statues, criminal fraud statues because they tried
to defraud the United States of the outcome of the
twenty twenty election. I mean, it was a bogus, bogus

(05:11):
claim from the start, and certainly they had no basis
for even expanding I mean, didn't have a basis for
it against Trump, right, They certainly had no basis.

Speaker 5 (05:21):
Against all these other organizations.

Speaker 6 (05:24):
This was targeting the political enemies of the Biden administration.

Speaker 7 (05:30):
But in order to do these investigations and get these
these taps, these information, don't they have to present that
to somebody who has to sign off on that would
I would think, well.

Speaker 5 (05:41):
Yeah, good point.

Speaker 6 (05:42):
In fact, for example, the judge who approved the subpoenas
secret subpoenas of.

Speaker 5 (05:49):
The phone records the US Senators was our old.

Speaker 6 (05:52):
Friend, Judge Bosberg of the d C Circuit, who's been
involved in so many things. He, by the way, blatantly
violated federal law. There is a federal statute that protects
US Senate communications and in fact says that if there's
some kind of of a subpoena or other lawful process

(06:16):
issued to get their records, they have to be notified.
And it specifically says no court, no judge, can override
that statute and keep it secret. And yet that's exactly
what Boseburg did. That's exactly what Jack Smith did, violating
that federal statute.

Speaker 1 (06:37):
So where does this end up ONNS? Where does it go? Well,
I tell you.

Speaker 6 (06:42):
Part of the problem here with a lot of this is,
you know, the statute limitations is five years under most
federal statutes, and we're pretty.

Speaker 5 (06:49):
Much past that. But what has to happen is I
think two things.

Speaker 6 (06:54):
First of all, listen to everybody out there, including you,
by the way, everybody should check the lists that the
Senator has put out of the people whose records were
secretly sees. And if you see your name on a list,
you see it or your organization on the list, you
need to immediately file a Freedom of Information Act request

(07:17):
with the FBI the DOJ to demand copies of whatever documents,
whatever files they got from you. And then once you've
gotten that, take a look and see whether you believe
you've got a civil rights lawsuit that you can file
against the FBIDJ and people like Jack Smith. The other

(07:38):
thing that needs to happen is continued disclosure of this
so we can get the names of every single federal
employee who was involved in this at the FBI and
the Justice Department to ensure that they no longer work there,
because none of them can be trusted to ever be
in a government position.

Speaker 4 (07:59):
I tell you say that about you know, me being
on a list or someone else who might be in
this media on a list, or you might be on
a list. I was just going to ask you, I mean,
Heritage Foundation has to be public Enemy number one of
these guys, Right, were you guys on this.

Speaker 5 (08:13):
List for some reason? We weren't. But I'm involved with another.

Speaker 6 (08:20):
Organization which you guys may have talked to before the
Public Interest Legal Foundation. They were on the list and
their bank records were seized without them knowing a thing
about it.

Speaker 5 (08:31):
In fact, you know, the only person.

Speaker 6 (08:34):
Whose company whose phone company refused to turn over the
records was Ted.

Speaker 5 (08:40):
Cruz's company AD and D.

Speaker 1 (08:43):
They said they.

Speaker 5 (08:44):
Wouldn't turn over the records, and so his records.

Speaker 6 (08:48):
Didn't get turned over, But every other phone company they
all turned it over.

Speaker 1 (08:52):
Wow.

Speaker 4 (08:53):
Hans von Spakowski is with US Heritage Foundation Heritage dot
org And unfortunately you don't have too much time, but
I wanted to ask you a second question on a
second topic, which was what had happened out in Berkeley.
And you know this whole idea about them, you know,
almost physically getting violent over turning point in some of this.

(09:13):
Can you give everybody that thirty thousand foot view of that.
Those who may have missed that story, Well.

Speaker 6 (09:19):
Look, the university should have known this was coming. They
clearly did not prepare the kind of security that was
needed to prevent this from happening. The Just Department is
opening up an investigation of them, and they should because
there's a possible federal case for the university violating the

(09:40):
civil rights of these students. The rights of these students
to peacefully enjoy their education. That's a violation of federal
law and the university needs to be hit with this.
They obviously, like I said, didn't take the steps necessary
to do it. And if they don't expel the students
who were arrested, that tells you they're not taking this seriously.

Speaker 4 (10:04):
And I think UC Berkeley receives hundreds of millions in
federal funds.

Speaker 1 (10:08):
Every single year, right, yes.

Speaker 4 (10:11):
So that puts them even more under this microscope. And
you know, in a general sense, the whole and I
think we may have talked about this in the past.
I talk about it a lot, but the whole idea
of going to college is a free exchange of thoughts
and ideas.

Speaker 1 (10:25):
I mean, God, that's what it's about.

Speaker 4 (10:27):
And every time you turn around, these these ultra progressive
groups are trying to shut that down.

Speaker 5 (10:33):
Yeah, they they want the other side to be silenced.
They do not want us to speak.

Speaker 6 (10:39):
They don't believe in the First Amendment because look, they
are in essence totalitarians, and they do not like anyone
opposing them, and they don't want anyone speaking up and
opposing them.

Speaker 5 (10:52):
And that's why, Look, all it was all the violence
are seeing.

Speaker 6 (10:55):
Where's it coming from the left side of the political amount?

Speaker 4 (10:59):
Absolutely on thousand percent, Hans. I know you're a super
busy man. I really appreciate it. Where can folks find
out more about you and and everything that's going on
at heritage They.

Speaker 6 (11:08):
Can go to Heritage dot org, Heritage dot org and
see everything.

Speaker 8 (11:11):
I right there.

Speaker 4 (11:12):

And thank you so much. I'll talk soon. Surely you

all go, whether it's the folks at Patriot TV or
the folks on the radio side of it. It's always
my honor and a pleasure to get a chance to
work with such great professionals who are getting it done

(15:30):
a very single night.

Speaker 1 (15:32):
Now.

Speaker 4 (15:32):
This segment is sponsored by Lost Soldier and Gas. This
second term presidency of Donald Trump is all about what drill,
baby drill and knocking down inflation by making America the
energy capital of the entire world. And this one project
could be the centerpiece for that goal.

Speaker 1 (15:52):
Our goal.

Speaker 4 (15:53):
Lost Soldier Oil and Gas has been founded by second
generation oil and gas legend Mark Bruner. His companies have
created more than fifteen billion in shareholder value, including Ultra Petroleum,
which went from get this fifteen cents to two hundred
bucks per share at its peak. A ten thousand dollars
investment got you thirteen million. I mean I don't have

(16:15):
ten thousand, but imagine one thousand bucks to throw at
this or one point three million bucks. That's like party.

Speaker 1 (16:20):
Time, all right? Was it was that party time? Talent?

Speaker 10 (16:24):
No?

Speaker 1 (16:24):
What was that? I love? I can't think of it now,
remember that show Love American Style? Then he's just that
it doesn't matter. Lost Soldier. It's Mark's new project.

Speaker 4 (16:33):
It took forty years to piece together in forty thousand
acre giant gas discovery field. Mark believes it's the last
major basin centered gas accumulation play in the entire country.
Lost Soldier Giant Gas Discovery could become as renowned as
the Permian Basin. The plan is to install a pipeline
connection for immediate cash flow this year and again to

(16:54):
continue to explore and develop the remaining.

Speaker 1 (16:57):
Oil and gas over decades to come.

Speaker 4 (16:59):
Lost Soul is pro also planning to go public in
the next couple of years. This is basically the right time,
the right place, the right management team, and again the
right president to get involved. What are you waiting for
Lost Soldier dot com. That's Lost Soldier dot com. You
fill out the contact form Lost Soldier dot com. If
you're an accredited investor, give them a holler.

Speaker 1 (17:21):
I kind of screwed that one up. Sorry about that,
But well, what's the name of that show? I can't
think of it now. When I was a kid, it
was on all the time. Love American Style? Is that
right to sound right?

Speaker 4 (17:31):
I don't know why I'm thinking about that anyway, Nobody
cares about that, so I thought this was kind of interesting.
Somebody sent me this and I'll share it. If you've
got a beef with the president building a ballroom on
donated money from big benefactors, if you will, or big
business folks. How about this question, which is worse a

(17:55):
ballroom paid by private donors or a football stadium built
with a billion dollars in taxpayer funded moneies. Think about
Let that's sink in for a second. This happens, right.
Trump is at least getting people to donate to build
a ballroom, by the way, I'm mister fiscal conservative, but

(18:17):
if other people are going to pay for it, the
White House, Washington needs a meeting place for these guys
to go have their fancy important you know dinners. I mean,
we can't be in a tent outside, which is exactly
what they do. So yeah, I'm sorry, I have no
problem with this. And I know this is kind of

(18:37):
sunk out of the headlines recently.

Speaker 1 (18:39):
I mean, it was a big deal for a little while.

Speaker 4 (18:41):
The Democrats screamed and yelled about it bulldozers, you know,
because there was all this action going while you know,
the folks were not in action, like we had a
forty two day breakdown of the government. But I mean,
I'm just saying, you know, you got these multi million
dollars billionaires actually who are owning these football teams and

(19:04):
their stadiums in some cases are subsidized by the taxpayers
who then have to go and buy tickets and buy
their hot dogs, and they're souvenirs and all of that stuff,
and they're paying for it.

Speaker 1 (19:14):
So it's a be a win win for the owner.

Speaker 4 (19:16):
And sure it's an economic boon in some cases, boom
in some cases. But this whole idea of Trump and
building another room so that they can have a fancy
get togethers.

Speaker 1 (19:28):
I don't have a problem with that, and I don't
understand why anybody does.

Speaker 4 (19:32):
So anyway, there's also it was a big brujha, if
you will, with food stamps, right So we were talking
about food stamps and how much that we have spent
in food stamps, and I don't have a lot of
time to get into it obviously now with the music.

Speaker 1 (19:44):
Playing, But.

Speaker 4 (19:46):
After Biden became president, essentially the amount of money that
went to food stamps per year, it's actually almost tripled.

Speaker 1 (19:57):
So right now you're talking about over eight billion.

Speaker 4 (19:59):
Dollars a month in food stamps or food assistant programs
for folks in America.

Speaker 1 (20:04):
The big problem here, ladies and gentlemen.

Speaker 4 (20:07):
Aside from the astronomical cost of that is the fact
that there are forty two million people who need food assistance.
That is a major issue that has to be dealt with.
All Right, We're going to completely switch gears when we
come back. Good friend of mine is going to join
the conversation. His name is Greg Howard. He's a state
representative and a law enforcement officer.

Speaker 1 (20:27):
Will talk to him about ice and other things. Stick
around you are listening and watching the war Zone.

Speaker 9 (20:41):

because this is my chair.

Speaker 1 (22:14):
He'll be in his own chair about three thousand miles away.

Speaker 4 (22:17):
I'm broadcasting from my State of the Arts studio here
in Connecticut.

Speaker 1 (22:22):
The show is Warzone.

I appreciate it.

Speaker 8 (24:19):
Thank you, brother man. What an honor to be on
the show. I appreciate you with the invite. How's thanks?

Speaker 1 (24:24):
No, we're doing good, man, we're doing. Are you gonna
getting ready to watch the game? Are you gonna watch?
You watch football on Money night? I'm assuming you do.
You got a house full of football guys, right.

Speaker 8 (24:32):
That's right, Yeah, we watch it, don't. I don't generally
catch the whole game. I get because I get up
at four thirty in the morning, as you know, so
you know it's late over here on the East Coast.
The game starts laying, so I don't generally catch the
whole thing unless it really encapsulates me, and then then
I'm going to sleep in tomorrow room my whole day.

Speaker 4 (24:46):
Well, I figure if your fantasy are you still alive
in your fantasy game tonight?

Speaker 1 (24:50):
Do you have anybody playing tonight? Because I have Lamb
playing tonight.

Speaker 8 (24:52):
So I have Lamb and Genty playing tonight. But the
guy I'm playing against as Dak Prescott, right, so Lamb's
like a wash everything Lamb does guy get spreaded for us?
So well, I'm really hoping for asking to come through
for me.

Speaker 4 (25:03):
I'm playing again, that is true. I got to feel on.
I gotta feel on. The Raiders are going to surprise
Dallas tonight, and actually Wayne Allen roots a huge Dallas
Cowboy fan, so he's going to get his night ruined,
I think by the Las Vegas Raiders. All right, let
me ask you a couple of things. You can hang
out with us until the top, I hope. So I
want to throw a couple of ice related questions at you.

(25:26):
And you know, we talked about this a little bit
today and we can get into the nitty gritty of
what's going on in Connecticut.

Speaker 1 (25:31):
But let me just ask you.

Speaker 4 (25:32):
You know, the Biden administration repeatedly imposed sanctuary style policies
and enforcement priorities that effectively handcuffed ice agents, you know,
allowing millions of illegal aliens to come in, including those
with criminal records, and they remain in this country to
this very second. And Trump is trying to negate a

(25:54):
lot of that and you know, flipping around and send
these people packing where they belong. So you know, from
a low enforcement person, how demoralizing was it during Biden?
And then how at least uplifting from the president's perspective
is it now?

Speaker 8 (26:09):
Well, that's you know, that's a great way to frame it. Lee,
that you really did it perfectly. If folks go back
to twenty twenty, the summer of twenty twenty, the so
called Summer of Love, law enforcement around this country was
demoralized incredibly, And if you look around the country, you'll
see recruitment and retention on law enforcement is down considerably.

(26:29):
What else is down is the clearance rate of crimes.
That's the according to the uniform crime reports from nivers
from data, the amount of which we solve crime is
significantly lower. Fatal crashes are up around the country because
we have a decrease in traffic enforcement. These are having
real effects on lives. And what I'm watching now is,

(26:50):
of course, is we know Donald Trump won the presidency
in twenty twenty four. As it often happens, the pendulum
starting to swing back because communities are realizing, hey, we
need law enforcement. We have criminal we have evildoers out here.
We need our law enforcement for the reasons that I
just outlined. So now the Democratic Party have set their
sites on a different group to paint law enforcement in
a bad way, because we have to start with this.

(27:11):
I've been a police officer for twenty three years, right,
I've been a legislator for five and studying these issues
pretty closely in the legislature. Law enforcement at times, especially
to the average citizen, it's just not pleasant. It's not
a pleasant thing to watch, it's not a pleasant thing
to be involved in. Just to put things in a
perspective for your listeners, police officers in the United States

(27:32):
of America experienced traumatic incidents eight hundred to one more
than the average person. Because police work is not pretty.
So what the Democrats have gotten really good at doing
when they need numbers, is they will take a bunch
of little clips of videos of the not so pretty
part of law enforcement and they'll put it around to
disparage an entire group of people. Now right now their

(27:52):
sites are set at ICE. And what frustrates me the
most about that is you have legislators from around the
country who have been in Congress twelve in eighteen twenty
years disparaging ICE agents for enforcing the very laws that
they have not changed. That's what frustrates me. They're running around,
Look at these bad ICE agents enforcing these laws and
forcing these laws. I've done nothing to change them. I'm

(28:14):
going to go have a margarita with a human trafficker.
The ICE agents are the bad guys and trying to
flip the script. But you know, I really hope the
people in the United States of America are better to
watch that to see what's going on and will not
get douped by that again like they were in twenty twenty.

Speaker 4 (28:30):
Yeah, it's like so well said, it's got to be
so frustrating. You see in your Democrat colleagues in Connecticut,
which is one of the bluest states out there, have
been guilty of this, and you know other states around
the country have been guilty.

Speaker 1 (28:44):
Of it as well. Where you are exactly right.

Speaker 4 (28:46):
They are taking the side of drug dealers, taking the.

Speaker 1 (28:51):
Sides of gang bangers.

Speaker 4 (28:53):
They're taking sides of people who have consistent lets, people
who just made a mistake or did something wrong and
they're sorry for They're taking the side of hardcore stone
coal killers.

Speaker 8 (29:05):
Yeah, and people who want it, who want to fight
law enforcement. Again. You could take what I just said
down to the state level. It continues to shock my
conscience that you have legislators who write laws and don't
want anybody enforcing the laws. That they write a law
with no enforcement behind it. Lee is nothing more than
a suggestion, we don't what's the point of having laws

(29:27):
if we don't have any enforcement around them. And then
they take and they you know, they say, well, ice agents,
we don't want to cover in their faces. There's fifty
thousand dollars bounties on these guys, if not more, I
mean the assaults on them. Look, the Democrats dispute the
White Houses claim that they're up one thousand percent, but
they acknowledge that the charges of you know, violence against

(29:48):
law enforcements up twenty five percent. They even the naysayers
acknowledge that. So why because people are felt empowered that
they're doing good by running a police for a police
officer over with a car, resisting arrests, not putting the
window down. All the stuff pushed by the progressive left
that continues to get pushed on.

Speaker 3 (30:09):
And what do we have.

Speaker 8 (30:10):
We have violent crime in our cities. We have police
officers who can't solve crimes unless remind your listeners about
this league. When I started in law enforcement twenty three
years ago, you're at surveillance in your major stores, in
your banks. Today, there's surveillance. One hundred two people has
one on their front door, They're in every corner. Cities
around the country have surveillance cameras around their cities to
see what's going on. And we're solving thirty percent less

(30:33):
crimes right, a thirty percent reduction down from an average
of twenty four down to seventeen percent of And by
the way, that has nothing to do with with diversionary
programs and prosecution. The clearantry just talks about arrests and
not even an arrest if you have a murder suspect
in Seattle who the police established probable cause that they
can't arrest him and he jumps off a bridge. Say

(30:55):
that still counts as cleared even though he's never arrested.
So these are literally the amount of cases that we
solve is significantly down. We need justice for victims, and
the left side continues to ignore law abiding victims in
this country. And you know, this whole issue of ICE
frustrates me because you know, they act like, oh, this

(31:17):
is a civil violation, like you know, it's like an
unpaid parking ticket or something. Most of these crimes, if
you went to this country illegally, it's punishable by a
jail sentence. I mean, there's certain civilized civil violations. You know,
if you overstayed your visa, education visa overstated, But if
you went to the country illegally, it's a crime. I
don't know why we're downplaying this. And you're absolutely right.

(31:39):
Joe Biden encouraged sanctuary cities, and can I just talk
about that for a secondly, yeah, please do. So what
happens in these sanctuary cities is it forces ICE agents.
This is all a plan. By the way, it forces
ICE agents to take things to the street. So let
me paint you a picture. Tom Vohman has said numerous times.

(32:01):
Christin Nolan has said numerous times, we're looking for the
worst of the worst. Right, we've all heard that that's
exactly what they're doing. But when you have the worst
of the worst locked up in a jail cell in Chicago, Illinois,
and the laws of that state or that city will
not allow ice into that jail cell to take that
person into custody, they have to wait until they get out,

(32:22):
and when they do, they're chase somewhere down the street
in a community where there's other people here, here here illegally.
And when the ice agents get to that community to
arrest that worst of the worst criminal and they see seven, seven,
eight other people they know are here in violation of
federal law, they're taking them into custody too. And what
happens It gets pictures videos. Right. So instead of the

(32:44):
controlled environment safer for everybody, the Democrats have taken it
out of that with their policies, put it to the streets.
They can get their video clips to disparage law enforcement
and then pick one of those seven or eight not
the worst of the worst that got caught up because
the worst and the worst was a lot with their
policy back from the community and they can hold out
personal ball. He's been here for nineteen years, working here,

(33:05):
working at this university, doing as racist family. That's what
they did.

Speaker 1 (33:09):
Greg. Let me jump in because music's playing. We'll come
right back. We'll continue this conversation.

Hi.

Speaker 9 (35:32):
This is Wayne Alerut for Patriot Critical Minerals. Here's the
raw truth. Our military dominance, our economic strength, and even
our freedom itself depends on one critical metal most Americans
have never heard of.

Speaker 3 (35:42):
Tungsten. Tumston is the metal of strength.

Speaker 9 (35:44):
It's what hardens our tanks, powers our jet fighters, drives
our missiles, and puts steel behind every round of ammunition.

Speaker 3 (35:50):
Here's the danger.

Speaker 9 (35:51):
China controls eighty percent of the world supply and ninety
percent of production. If China cuts us off, America's military power, economy,
and independence all hangs in the balance.

Speaker 1 (36:01):
Here's the good news.

Speaker 3 (36:02):
We have the solution.

Speaker 9 (36:03):
Patriot Critical Minerals home to the most advanced tungsten deposit
in the entire USA of over nineteen million tons. This
is the kind of discovery that can change the game
enough to break china stranglehold on tungsten. There has never
been a better moment to invest in tungsten. Patriot Critical
Minerals isn't just about mining, It's about securing our freedom
and protecting our homeland. To learn about investment opportunities with

(37:53):
My good friends State Representative Greg Howard is with us,
and Greg we kind of got cut off, but I
just I wanted you or give you the opportunity before
I one more question before we do run out of
time about you know, you were talking about just the
frustration that surrounds ICE and you know everybody in the
law enforcement community.

Speaker 1 (38:11):
Did you just want to finish that thought?

Speaker 8 (38:13):
Yeah, no, I mean that was just the bottom line. Look,
I hope Americans are paying attention. You know, the Democrats
seem to think that law enforcement are their pawns that
they can, you know, use them as they see fit.
They disparage an entire profession twenty twenty for their own
political gain. When they lost the presidency in twenty twenty four,
because of the rebound effect of that, which is always
going to happen, they've set their targets on Ice now

(38:36):
to do the exact same thing. These big bad law
enforcement officers were enforcing the very laws that these morons
create themselves and then turn around and blame the people
who are enforcing their laws have done nothing to change.
It's just frustrating for sure.

Speaker 4 (38:49):
So how can ICE effectively protect American communities in a
state like Connecticut where they are under the microscope, where
there is an opposition to them every time they turn around?

Speaker 1 (39:01):
What would what would your general advice be to them?

Speaker 8 (39:04):
Well, exactly what they're doing. They're just coming in and
doing their job without the support for local law enforcement
and around. Look, I'm not going to call it necessary obstruction,
but there's certainly a lack of cooperation. And as I
said earlier, when that happens. So if you play two
scenarios out, you have a guy that's been arrested in
Connecticut or Chicago, Illinois, or any of these sanctuary states

(39:26):
or cities which pretty much most from the northeast. You know,
when you when you have a guy who's sitting again
been arrested for felony assault and he's here illegally, right,
he came across the country illegally or overstate his visa,
whatever the case may be, and he's been arrested for
second degree of assault. In years past, before this sanctuary
city stuff, ICE would send law enforcement a detainer, say

(39:48):
hang on to this guy, we're going to come get them,
which which any police law enforced agency does for each
other all the time, every single day in this country,
every day. But now they can't do that. So what
does ICE have to do? Okay, Well, if I call well,
you know, the Chicago PDE and they can't, they're not
going to hang on to him for me, So I
can come there or at Hertford PD here in Connecticut
and they're not going to hang on to me. Well,

(40:09):
I got to wait hang on to him for me.
I have to wait until they release the guy. And
then they release him, then they go find where he was,
where is he living, who's he living with? And he
ends up and they end up taking all these other people,
or they end up taking the guy into custody in
the streets and whatever, which is not a controlled environment.
So one of the big pushes in Connecticut right now is, well,
we don't want ICE agents taking people into custody and courthouses,

(40:30):
you know, in the public areas, which is what they've
been doing. And you wonder why they don't want him
doing that lee, because when somebody goes into a courthouse,
what do they have to walk through a metal detector?

Speaker 1 (40:41):
Yeah?

Speaker 8 (40:42):
Right, So when these ice agents go in there, they
know that this guy's not armed, so they're trying to
do it as safely as possible. But in Connecticut, the
Supreme Court justice, the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court,
and now the legislature have put up policy says no more,
we don't want you doing it in safe environments. We
want you doing it out in the street where you
don't know what you're getting into. And by the way,

(41:03):
you've been covering your face so that people don't know
who you are so your family doesn't get targeted. Nope,
we're gonna make that illegal too, because they're doing everything
they can to try to get these guys hurt. That's it.
And they make all these other claims, Well, it's about
safety and security in the courthouse, you know, it's about
you know, stoking down the feary communities. It's nonsense because

(41:23):
they only target a law enforcement We talked on your show,
and you heard me do quite a speech about this
in Hartford when I was curious about it. Bail enforcement agents,
they weren't around and take people in the custody every
single day in this country. Maybe some of the listeners
have heard of Dog the body hunter or watch what
he done. He's not a law enforcement officer. They're taking
people in on civil bonds and they can still do

(41:43):
in a Connecticut in courthouse is masked up whatever they
want because for some reason that's safer. You know that
that doesn't create in any sort of problems. It doesn't
even make any sense. They're targeting ICE agents to get
these guys hurt and I have been hurt. We've had
shootings at ICE facilities, We've had ran with cars. And
where's the left, Where's the left condemning his violence?

Speaker 1 (42:05):
Nowhere to be found. What a great point.

Speaker 4 (42:07):
By the way, it's a great point about you know,
the ICE agents going to courts because they know these
guys aren't going to be armed, it's the perfect spot
to get them. Greg, I wish we had more time.

Speaker 1 (42:18):
Listen.

Speaker 4 (42:18):
