Speaker 1 (00:05):
I'm going to reiterate, and I'm going to ask the
same exact question that I've been asking of all the
quote Heisman Trophy candidates at this point. If so and
so was not on that football team, how good would
they be? Really? Now, I know a lot of people
didn't want to watch Boise State and Nevada. It's not

(00:28):
game of the week. The only playoff implication is about
whether or not Boise State continues to position themselves within
their own conference. Can they be a conference champion? Will
they be the highest rated conference champion outside of the
power flowar etc. When you look at this football team,
and I've talked about it before already, with the quarterback

(00:50):
play without Gent, do you really think there are a
seven to one football team going in in a night.
If you actually watch Boise State and you actually watch Gent,
you will see that he's not just a running back.
This man is a football player, not just with running.

(01:13):
He blocks. There was an interception that was called back
on a bad call by the way, but it was
called back, but when the ball was picked off, Gent
went and made a tackle. He's just a football player,
and maybe the best football player in the country. And

(01:35):
without him to me, it is obvious that Boise State
is not the same football team. We're not talking about
Boise State. We're talking about whatever football team he's playing on,
and that's all there is to it. That's it. That's
the argument, and it shouldn't be anything else other than that. Now,

(01:58):
obviously there's nuance, right there's subtleties, there's this and that,
And I'm not even talking about whether or not Boise
State could compete in the playoff when I'm not talking
about their record against so and so or the type
of teams are playing against or any of those things.
I am simply discussing whether or not Boise State would

(02:19):
be relevant without him, and they wouldn't be. Everything else
is a moot point because they wouldn't be. If anybody
watched Boise State Nevada to night, you would have obviously
seen that MaxEnt Is, He's just in the coverage, poor
decision making, nervous in the pocket, can't settle down a

(02:43):
million and one other things. Without him, they are not
the same football team. And that's all there is to it.
Chador Travis Hunter, they also built cases without them. Is
Colorado a seven to two football team? Right? Now? You

(03:03):
really think they beat Texas Tech with the start they
got off to. Sure, Sanders didn't play good at all
in the first quarter, but then the other three quarters.
Everybody wants to talk about that receiving corps and how
good it is. Do you understand what Travis Hunter does?
How he literally offensively and defensively eats up a half

(03:27):
whatever side of the football field he's lining up on,
that man is taking up a radius. That's how damn
good he is. And Shador continues to prove his patience,
his leadership skills, understanding situational football. You can talk about

(03:52):
Shiloh and the Prime Dance, which is cool. I'm with it, Brody,
but the reality is without and without Travis Hunter, this
is not the same Colorado football team, and that is
a point blank situation. Then we get to cam Ward
and a lot of people have said that he is

(04:13):
the front runner for the Heisman. I maintain that his
turnovers and everything else is part of the reason why
they continue to have struggles. A lot of people are
blaming the Miami defense. How many times can you continue
to defend when you're consistently in a bad position. I'm

(04:37):
not saying their defense is great because it's not. What
I'm saying is after a while, you can only do
so much interceptions. I've been turned back for touchdowns. Go
back and look at the cow game. To me, Genti,
Hunter and Chador are the clear front runners for the Heisman.

(05:00):
Look I've said a million one times that gent could
run for ten thousand yards, score seven hundred touchdowns. They'd
still figure out a way to give it to a quarterback.
At least last season when they gave it to Jane Daniels,
it was the recognition to me of if he was

(05:21):
let's say Oregon, which is an argument that I presented
a million one times over, instead of bow Nicks, they
would have been competing for a national championship. That's to
me a bottom line scenario. You trade bow Knicks and
Jane Daniels, You trade Kaylin Williams and Jane Daniels. You
trade them. Kylem is not nearly as prolific, Dylan Gabriel, etc.

(05:45):
You put any of them in the situation that Jane
Daniels had at LSU, they are not nearly as good.
That's all there is to it to me, Saint quantum Physics,
I get tired of just because the team is undefeated.
That logically means that the quarterback is the reason and

(06:10):
he deserves the Heisman Trophy talk. It's just not the
way that it should be. I'm not saying that the
quarterback is not impactful. What I am saying is there's
ten other guys on a football team, and sometimes one
of those other guys is the reason. I talked about
it last year with Oregon, Bucky Irving to me, in

(06:32):
that offensive line, they were the real MVPs of that
football team. You stop Bucky Irving, you force bo Nicks
to be a quarterback. He's going to turn the football over.
Same thing with Boise Stay right now. In gent you
force Max to be a quarterback, and I promise you

(06:56):
if they're not successful, but you have to stop number
two Colorado. Same thing. You shut down Shador, you shut
down Hunter. They're not the same football team. It's a
double whammy. But it's what you have to do now.

(07:16):
In terms of the Big Twelve, I want to be clear,
I'm making this video before the BYU game is over,
but regardless, I don't see a Big twelve team winning
a college football playoff Championship's not gonna happen. I've said
it repeatedly. I don't think it will happen. Obviously, Colorado

(07:40):
has positioned themselves very well byu that result will be
that result. A lot of people thought that Kansas State's
schedule was very winnable. We saw how that went down,
the loss that Colorado had to KU, that's gonna weigh
in the minds of the committee. So it's gonna be

(08:04):
tough whoever they position themselves. Again, since whoever comes out
of the Big Twelve, it's gonna be tough. And I
don't know that more than one team comes out of
the Big Twelve. I just don't. I know, there's twelve
slots to fill and a lot of people feel like
that's a lot, that's plenty, that's too much, not enough,
whatever the case may be. Regardless, I don't know, man.

(08:26):
I don't think the Big Twelve gets two teams in.
I think they get whoever the conference champion is and
that's it. So it's gonna have to weigh on that. Obviously,
Iowa State they lost earlier, so they're probably done. I
don't see a scenario where they get in. Right now,

(08:46):
it's probably b YU and Colorado in terms of everybody else. Look,
I know I thought that Georgia should have been number one,
and you know I had my doubts about it when
I said it, But it is what it is. Carson
Beck too many turnovers, same thing with cam woarred too
many turnovers in Miami. The reality of the situation is

(09:09):
simply this George is not done, but they're close too.
And don't they have Tennessee coming up next weekend. Now,
obviously we're gonna see what's gonna happen with Nico because
you know, the injury happened and all that stuff, So
you know, we'll see what happens with Tennessee. But I

(09:31):
Kirby Smart, I really thought was probably the best football
coach in the SEC. Hypol's certainly making a case right now.
And the reality is I I thought that Kirby smarted
out coach Keln de Bor, especially in the second half.
Lane Kiffin, I don't think out coach Kirby Smart. I

(09:51):
think Kirby Smart has kind of lost a little bit
of control. I think he started feeling the pressure, the
pressure that he hasn't felt before. I don't know why.
With the expansion, I feel like coaches are really kind
of taking a turn right. It feels like the really
good coaches that we saw before they're suddenly really paranoid

(10:14):
in the month of November, which is bizarre to me.
You would think this will be the month in which
they thrive. Right, Septembers for the pretender, October's for the
Maybe November is for the real deal. I really thought

(10:35):
Kirby Smart had proven himself over and over again. Now
it could just be a down year in Georgia. And
I'm not saying he's a bad coach, because clearly great coach.
But it's just really bizarre to me to see him
being this way. I don't know what he knows. I mean,
he's acting like a man with his job who's on hiatus.

(10:55):
And it's not like he's preserved, he's secure, he's safe.
There's a million one of the coaches. But I talked
about going into this football game that Lane Kiffen needed
to prove himself. How much longer you know? And I've
said over and over again that this season, Lane Kiffin
has been gift wrapped two losses and you could still

(11:16):
potentially get in. And he has made some horrendous coaching
decisions this year, and I repeated over and over again.
How with Lane Kiffin It's never worked out anywhere Tennessee, USC,
the Raiders, Oh Miss. It just kind of seems to

(11:37):
fall apart this time of the year. I mean, that
was a much needed win for Lane Kiffen and it
preserved its job for at least another year. But it
was weird because Lane Kiffen was acting like he was
Kirby Smart. Kirby Smart was acting like he was Lane Kiffin.
That was That was a little crazy for me to see,

(11:59):
but it is what it is. Miami obviously, I think
everybody saw the Georgia Tech game. They lost. It makes
SMU number one in that conference. Now Clemson. Look, if
Clemson figures out a way to get into the CFP,
they're not gonna do much of anything. That much. I
can tell you. Debo Sweeney's still a hell of a

(12:22):
football coach. But Club Nick is just not good enough
to get you to where you want to go. I mean,
that's all there is to it. Too many mistakes. You know,
sometimes it does come down to quarterback play. I don't
think there's enough balance with that football team. And the
ACC is so down this year. I mean, you know,

(12:42):
Syracuse doing what they always do this season. They're either
up big in both the lead and then they got
to come back, or they're down big and then they
got to come back, couldn't get it done. Colorado's kind
of in that same boat. I mean, this season is
such a toss up, right. I still think Indiana is
a top five football team. I really think honestly right now, Look, man,

(13:10):
I wouldn't have a problem with ranking a number one.
I know a lot of people are going to look
at that game and get to Michigan and go, oh please,
they still got Ohio State left. What do you think
is going to happen? The turnaround for that football team
has been amazing. They were who I predicted in the
Big ten at the beginning of the season. If they're
undefeated right now. The second half of that football game,
their offense was non existent, but their defense was. I've

(13:30):
said over and over again that sometimes you have to
kind of grid out some of these games. You got
to prove that you can do it. It still builds
the confidence of your football team. I think maybe they're
starting to get a little bit cocky in Indiana, if
I'm being honest with you. But when you saw signetti
and the way that he was at the end of

(13:51):
that football game. Man was in damn near tiers. I
always say that a football team ends up being reflective
of who their coach is. Indiana is reflective of a
damn good football coach. You could say the same thing Colorado.
Right now, with what's going on in Prime again, I
don't think they'll even if they happen to figure out

(14:11):
a way to get to CFP, I don't think they're
gonna do anything, but right now they've certainly done a lot.
My thing with Prime is I don't think he's going
to be there next year. I would love to watch
him see this through, but I just don't think it's
gonna happen. It's really a toss up right now. I
still think probably you gotta have Oregon now at number
one for me. Indiana would then be number two. Texas

(14:35):
they won in a blowout that they did the damn thing,
I would think that they're gonna move up from five
to probably three, and then from there. I mean, it's
just it's all subjective, right, objective, whatever the fuck you
want to call it. It's such a toss up in
college football, which is God I just wish there would
just be a direct playoff system in place instead of voters.

(14:59):
But I guess we're gonna see it on Tuesday night
what happens after this weekend. But George is probably gonna
drop significantly. Alabama's gonna move up after they win over LSU,
especially with the way that they won, Jalen Milroe running
the football the way that he did, Ryan Williams being
used in a number of different ways, re versus screens,

(15:22):
running back, wide receiver, They're really utilizing him to the
fullest right now. And as much as I don't like it,
even though they're a two lost football team, the reality
is is the committee, as long as they keep winning,
they're gonna throw them in. That's all there is to it.
And I think for me, that's the thing that frustrates
me the most about the committees. They're waiting for everybody

(15:42):
else to lose and waiting for the teams that they
love to win, which sucks and it pisses me off,
but you know, it is what it is. It's just
it's a toss up. And I keep saying that a
big part of this is really all about the transfer portal.
It's it's leveling the playing field so quickly, much quicker

(16:05):
than what we saw with the scholarships, you know, the
one hundred and seventy five. It took a little while
right before it leveled out. But this, this is a
this is a challenge for a lot of football coaches
right now. In D one. Is Georgia out right now? No,
they're gonna drop, but they'll they'll probably still be ten,

(16:26):
but they're they're gonna be in that top fifteen at least.
I mean, that's that's all there is to it. The
loss is not a good look for them. Ole Miss
is probably gonna go into like a nine or eight spot.
But and then depending on how BYU goes, they they
might be able to creep up into the top five
if they're able to finish it out tonight. But if not,

(16:49):
they they dropped significantly. That's all there is to that.
But it's so hard to call it right now, I mean,
it really is. But for me, honestly, I would put
Indiana head of Oregon. I know Oregan's got to win
over Ohio State, but I just think defensively, they're a

(17:10):
much better football team than Oregon is. I'm just saying,
but I guess we'll find out in the big championship game,
because I mean, that's the way that it's looking right now.
But man, I'm telling you it's tough. But I in
terms of what I think the voters will do, I

(17:31):
think the voters will have Oregon and number one. Number
two is gonna be complicated. You're certainly not gonna put
Miami in there. They're gonna drop a few spots. The
Indiana's logically gonna be able to move up, maybe Tennessee
at number two. They'd probably have Indiana three at number four. Man,

(17:54):
And this is a guess if BYU wins them number well,
and really even then they probably put Texas ad of
BYU and probably Indiana. Really, you know, I mean, I'm
just you know, really, I'm just thinking out loud here,
what is the committee gonna do. I'm trying to put
myself in their shoes and think about what they would

(18:16):
do versus what I would do, because what I would
do would be completely different. But it's just it's so
tough right now in college football, man, I mean, it
really is. You know, it's for the longest time because
of the way that college football was set up, it
was really easy to just be like, hey, look, this

(18:39):
is a team full of juniors and seniors, their experience,
they're probably gonna win. It's just it's not like that anymore.
It's really not. I think Indiana is what second most
in a transfer portal in this season, aside from Prime
what and what he did at Colorado. It just you know,

(19:03):
And the thing about Indiana is is they're just a
football team, which should be nice for anybody who really
truly loves football to watch a team like Indiana. I'm
just saying definitively, I guess just the bottom line, this

(19:24):
damn thing. To me, Hunter's number one for the Heisman race.
Number two is gente. Number three ish a door. I
don't have Camon there. With what quinn Ewers did, He's
probably gonna be in there. I'm just saying, in terms

(19:45):
of the college football playoff, man, it's a toss up
in the Big twelve, as I've said, is wide open.
Now that doesn't mean they're deep, it just means it's
wide open. I just just been under earth, you know
what I mean, in seat of hooting and hollering and yelling.
Oh this is what I think. I hate that shit

(20:09):
fucking all these guys yelling, They're so insecure about what
they got to say. It's crazy, Like, I don't give
a damn if I'm wrong. If i'm wrong, I'm wrong.
If I'm right, I'm right. Cool, Like, you know, what
the fuck, But anyway, we'll enjoy the rest of your
