Speaker 1 (00:00):
So Kawhi Leonard is gonna be out again to start
the NBA season. The word was indefinitely. Whatever the hell
that's supposed to mean. Look, it's no surprise at this point.
Kawhi has legitimately missed forty one percent of all games
that he's could have played since twenty nineteen, and man

(00:20):
just stays up in the press box kicking it Brody, Man,
I'm injured. Look, I've stood up for Kawhi Leonard a
lot of times, right, I've stood up with Kawhi Leonard
when he said, look, I went to an outside physician,
they said I can't play. I'm going with the outside physician.
I get that. And you know the thing is is
when I talk about injuries all the time, I constantly

(00:42):
repeat myself and say, look, man, a lot of times
the biggest mistake that has made players come back before
they're ready. So, for the most part, I haven't taken
issue with Kawhi Leonard sitting out. But look, it gets
to a point where if we don't think it's BS
and it's not BS, then you have to question the

(01:04):
legitimacy of how much he's worth. Because when I talk
about the worth of a player. One of the things
that I always try to make people understand it's not
necessarily what you do on the court. What you do
on the court, sure it gives you what happens away
from the court or away from the field, or whatever
the case may be. But after a while, when you're

(01:29):
not in that gets depleted. Now that's just the fact
of the situation. We start looking at Jersey sales, we
start looking at ticket sales, we start looking at a
mound of other things. We start questioning whether or not
Kawhi Leonard is worth anything. He's injury prone. Look, when

(01:50):
he's healthy, there's not many that are better. Kawhi Leonard
is potentially the best basketball player on any court, any day, anytime, anywhere,
when he's healthy. And to me, there's no disputing that.
When he lost the MVP candidacy to James Harden, I
thought to myself, how without him, san Antonio is not

(02:13):
that good? But apparently all the voters decided that san
Antonio was just fine without Kawhi. Well, they were dominating
Golden State until he got hurt in the playoffs, remember that,
and then from there spiral effect we've seen how good

(02:33):
Toronto has been since then Phoenix was Look, it gets
to a point. The bottom line here is very simple.
It gets to a point where you have to question
not only the authenticity of the injuries, but it gets
to a point where you have to question his financial

(02:55):
burden versus what he's actually doing for you. You are paying
players to be there, and when they are there, they
are making you money. Ticket sales, Jersey sales, sponsorships, TV time, playoffs,
all that stuff adds to the revenue. And when said

(03:15):
individuals consistently unavailable, where do you go from here? Look,
ninety nine percent of us, if we missed forty one
percent of days that we could have worked, we wouldn't
have a job. In fact, we would have been fired
about three times over to that point. The frustration of

(03:37):
the fan I definitely understand. And people buy tickets in
advance a lot of times hoping they'll be able to
see the best player on their team, their favorite player
on the team, whatever the case may be. Now, James
Harn's gonna have to step up. We all know how
that goes. Let's say Kawhi miss of the season, just
as a formality, not that it'll happen, but let's just

(03:59):
call it. A formality here, all right, for argument's sake,
James Harden would get into the playoffs, maybe win a series,
but then after that his selfishness would kick in. Sure,
he'd put up a lot of beautiful numbers, but they
would lose the series four one, four to two, and
that would be the end of it. And then people
will go, oh, well, it's not James Harden's fault, look

(04:22):
at how will he played? Okay, bro part of being
a great players distributing the basketball to other players in
certain situations to help you win games. Can't all be
about you all the time. And if you're a fan
right now, you look at this team, if it's only

(04:42):
James Harden, do you really say to yourself, oh, yeah, sure,
we'll still be fine. We can potentially make the conference finals.
The NBA Finals were good. I mean legitimately, legitimately, can
you look yourself in the mirror and say that I
doubt it? Now Kawhi is in there, you think you
got a shot, But unfortunately for everybody involved, Kawhi Leonard

(05:11):
does not stay healthy. And honestly, even in the playoffs,
he's had some really great games, But I don't know
that Phoenix was really meant for him. There's a slope
that has happened. I mean people think that Ben Simmons.
Ben Simmons has finished the teams in the NBA. I mean,

(05:35):
for sake, man, look at how many games Kawhi has missed.
He's not any better in terms of availability, which most
will tell you the oldest saying in the book is
availability is the best ability? How available is Kawhi not?
Very Look, man, I don't know. It gets to a

(06:00):
point where I question how many more times I can
defend somebody because I don't know. I've stood up with
for Kawhi for so many years and so many times.
Now I'm to a point now where I'm just like,
can I is it legitimate? Are these injuries authentic? Is

(06:21):
he just busing? Is he playing with people's money? Is
he mining his time? These are legitimate questions. I'm not
saying that they have answers. I'm just saying they're legitimate
questions to ask. Speaking of legitimate questions to ask, Look,

(06:41):
I've gone over and over again with people on the
internet about this, and guess what, I have a microphone
and you don't. You could buy one, but you choose
not to. So here we are. Jerry Jones was asked
very directly, Bro, you didn't get Derrick Henry, what's going on?
Understand that Jerry Jones has put himself in a coach's position,

(07:07):
and through a coach's position, he is getting asked questions
as if he's the coach of the Dallas Cowboys, which
shouldn't be happening. But here we are. He's getting those questions.
And then what does he start doing? Well, I'll just
find somebody else. I'm not gonna sit around and let

(07:29):
you ask these questions. We'll figure it out and think.
I'm gonna tell you I regret something. Every decision you
ever made is fifty to fifty. Bro. You've been the
GM of the Dallas Cowboys for how many years? Just
started off phenomenally, but your ego couldn't get checked. You
demanded that Jimmy shake your hand and give you credit.

(07:54):
You sign the checks as an owner. But see though
he doesn't want ownership quality. He doesn't want to be
Robert Kraft. He wants to be something more, something special,
something that everybody can look back on one day and go,

(08:16):
Jerry did that. Nobody is going to do that. Nobody
and I got people in my comments going, man, it's
his football team. If it's his football team, you'd think
you'd take better care of it. Look, the Dallas Cowboys
are a five hundred football team. The sky is not

(08:38):
necessarily falling. But when you get your ass whip the
way that you did in your own backyard, only one
of two things are gonna happen from here. You're either
gonna figure out a way to band together and make
it all work, or the has officially hit the fan
and it's over. You gave Dak Prescott hundreds of millions

(09:05):
of dollars and he's got eight touchdowns and six interceptions.
And by the way, all six interceptions have come in
games where he's thrown it two picks three games, two
i iNTS in every one of those games. I mean literally,

(09:25):
when you look back on it, the only attribute that
Dak has really ever had since he was in college
was gon't turn the football over a whole lot. Now
you can't even say that right now. And now you've
got Troy Atman talking about the route running of the receivers.
And you know, if you know, guys will know where
they're supposed to be at. As a quarterback's pretty difficult
to get him the ball. Bro stop, Okay, I'm gonna

(09:49):
need you to stop, because you threw one hundred and
sixty five tds and one hundred and forty one interceptions,
and you had Alvin Harper, Michael Irvin, Janovachek, Daryl the
Mouse Johnson as a full back, Emmitt Smith as a
running back, Hall of Fame offensive lineman. Stopped the cap.
No disrespect, Troy. You don't get to say right now.

(10:13):
I get that as a quarterback. You are standing up
for a quarterback, but that conversation stops. Now. You might
get some props, but right here with me is where
all your props stop, because I'm over that conversation. We're
not doing this. We're not going there. This is crazy.

(10:33):
Ten million dollars is what he could have given Derrick Henry,
who leads the league in rushing. It is a legitimate question.
And the thing is is I talked about at the
beginning of the year, what's all this Derrick Henry has cooked? Nonsense?
Did anybody look at the numbers from last season? Y'all
trying to act like because Tennessee was not a good

(10:55):
football team that somehow, some way had something to do
with him. Go look at the numb from last year.
Ask yourself who led the league air? Matter of fact,
I'll make this easy for you. I'll make it really easy,
so simple. I'm gonna make it the easiest it's ever been.

(11:18):
Top five rushing leaders in twenty twenty three NFL. Let's
take a look. Oh, Google didn't want to tell me nothing.
Oh look at that. We've got Christian McCaffrey. And right
behind him is Derrick Henry with one thousand, one hundred
and sixty seven yards, number two in the NFL. But

(11:40):
he's cooked. He was garbage. What the who was Who
was Jerry Jones or anybody for that matter listening to
what were they looking at? I gotta know, I really
gotta know the answer to that question. The simple answer

(12:04):
should have been, we're gonna get Henry. And look, it's
not like Dallas has been without talent, without you know
at all. Dak has had people around him without Henry,
they're good. But if you add Derrick Henry, now you're phenomenal.

(12:25):
And I am making Dak play out his contract and
the way things go is what I do next year.
Look at what Dak has been in the playoffs. All
you have to do is go back and look at
that Green Bay game from this past season in the

(12:46):
playoffs and know exactly who Dak Prescott is. And if
you want it even bigger reminder, you can go back
to Mississippi State when they played Georgia Tech and watch
the first half of that football game. Anybody who didn't
know then wasn't really watching now. Just because Dak went

(13:11):
in the fourth round, that don't mean jack to me.
I'm not going off of that. The reality of the
situation is Dak is basically a game managing backup quarterback.
I don't know if Jerry Jones maybe looks at him
and goes, this is Troy Aikman, because Troyman was the

(13:32):
same way. Dak is a slightly more athletic Troy Yeateman.
But even then, I would say that Troy Aikman had
a stronger arm than Dak. I mean, for all my
blustering about Aikman and how overrated he was and all
the players that he had around him, I would take
Aigman over Dak. Now let that sink in. If I

(13:55):
think that way about Aigman, imagine imagine what it means
when I say, Dak Prescott is a backup. He got
Starter League, he got Patrick Mahomes type money for doing
I don't know, Kirk Cousins things. You know, Jerry just

(14:27):
keeps doing his own. Guys in we got players that
didn't even play less season. You'll say, bro you're not
the coach. But he's getting treated like it because he
presents himself as such, surrounding himself with all these yes
men and all this bs. It's gotta stop. There has

(14:48):
to come a point and Jerry's entire excuse for him
being the GM is nobody can fill out this fuing
paperwork like me. That's it. That's his whole excuse. Good
for you, Brody, you can fill out paperwork. Congratulations. He
was really stupid to me to buy the Cowboys. Stop?

(15:11):
Who the hell told you was stupid to buy the
Dallas Cowboys? Get serious? I would love to meet that person,
all right. Max Crosby, Boy, did he have something to say?
Max Crosby legitimately said, I'm not here to rebuild wherever

(15:33):
I'm at, I want to win right now. Well, we
all know the rumors. I'm sure people saw the Pat
McAfee show. He was with, you know, who And a
phone call came in. Pat McAfee said, is that about Crosby?

(15:54):
Now it's all out in the woodwork that the Detroit
Lions are interested in Crosby, especially because Aidon Hutchison, that
poor guy, horrible injury. But you've got to fill a
spot now, right, you have to fill that gap. And
the thing is, if you watch that, I guess we'll

(16:15):
call it an interview with with Crosby. He just looks
so defeated. This is not the same Crosby that we
saw during the offseason running around with coach Pierce. And
you know, the weird thing was is Coach Pierce looked,
you know, pretty like everything is okay in his press conference.

(16:37):
That was bizarre to me. I mean, he just looked like,
we're fine, because you know the DeVante Adams saying, which
we're gonna talk about here in a little bit, but
he just looked like that, we're good. All right, you're good?
Are you sure? The next man up? Really? How many
more times can you next man up? I mean, that's

(16:59):
that's a big question. There's only been a few coaches
in the history of the NFL that, you know they
could truly plug and play next man up mentality is
a great thing, but only if it's started with the
coach that it works with. The Raiders are in a

(17:24):
potential heap of nonsense right now. I mean, all the
hype and everything that was going on. I mean, come on, man,
the interview with Dana White, remember that segment. Crosby out
here freestyling, kicking it with you know, the who's who
of everybody. Now the Raiders are where they are. Look, you,

(17:45):
you have a hard time with the Denver Broncos given
their situation right now. I'm not really sure that you
can say to yourself everything is okay and next man up.
And I'm not really sure that you could think about
losing Max Crosby. You just got Tom Brady. Okay, great,

(18:08):
you got Brady, but Brady has restriction upon restriction now
with NFL on Fox, so you're not getting any secret
scouting going on. You're not getting any of that. There's
really no benefit for the Raiders for Tom Brady being
on Fox. In case anybody's wondering, there's the benefit of

(18:31):
him being a quarterback and potentially helping put a phenomenal
defense together, which is why I said John Elway made
such a great GM because John Elway is a quarterback
put that defense together and knew what it was like
to look across the field and go, if I was
a quarterback, this is not a guy that I would
want to see at this position. I wouldn't want to

(18:52):
see a guy like this at this position. I wouldn't
want to know what it's like to face this guy
at this position and put a whole team of that
on one defense. Now that you've got Tom Brady, he's
coming into a situation where it's like clean up duty.
But here's the thing. He's what ten in terms of

(19:15):
ownership of the Raiders, So how much is he really
gonna be allowed to clean up? I mean right now
for the Raiders. You've got to understand that this is
probably a clout thing. Man, that this is what that
amounts to. It's a clout thing. You look, if you
legitimately think that Brady being with the Raiders is gonna
help save them unless and I do mean and less

(19:40):
the true owner of that team haircut Noll, because you
don't want to listen to America. So he's he's got
the cut, is gonna listen to Tom fuck and Brady
understand it means deadly. I'm just keeping it a buck man,

(20:05):
little adult apple juice. Crosby just looks defeated. Crosby looks sad.
Crosby looks like he doesn't want to be there. Crosby
looks like any way out of this I can get,
Just get me the hell out of here. Man. I
want to win football games. And who can blame him?

(20:27):
Everybody knows the window for an NFL athlete is limited.
Everybody knows it. Your ride might get blown in your
college or while you're in college. Pardon me, that's Travis Man.
Look what happened to him in Florida State. Look at
what just hadn't happened to Aiden Hutchison. Does anybody remember

(20:51):
Bird with the Jets, that horrible incident where he ran
into I mean, come on, man, dMar Hamblin is literally
a miracle. He's a walking miracle. Seriously, nothing is promised.

(21:11):
Does anybody really truly think that the Raiders are in
a good situation right now? You've got the Chargers who
are fifty to fifty in terms of okay, maybe you
got the Kansas City Chiefs, the Denver Broncos. Look they're
not great, but They're not a pushover. Defensively, they've gotten
a little bit better, but not a whole hell of

(21:32):
a lot much. Bone Nicks is gamesy hasn't even thrown
for one hundred yards. I mean, if that was Tim Tebow,
he'd got all the criticism in the world. But bon Nigs,
you know, it's okay whatever. Look, the point of all
this is Crosby looks like this isn't what was promised
to me, and I'm sure Raider fan feels the same way.

(22:00):
Davante adams leaving was huge, not for the Jets but
for the Raiders because speaking of Davante Adams, look he's
not gonna fix a whole hell of a lot right
now with the Jets. Him and his little boo buddy,
Oh Aaron, that's fine, it's cute. They could be on

(22:21):
the Pack McAfee show doing Look here's the big reveal up.
There's my bestie. I've talked about there's one hundred and
one times I knew that Aaron was gonna try and
finagel away to get his ass over there. The Jets
have bigger problems than not having Davonte Adams. They have

(22:44):
a solid wide receiving Carl already over there. Wilson can ball.
Bro I don't give a damn what anybody tries to
tell me. Brody can ball. It was wide open undred
five minutes ago. Games in another country. You're down seventeen

(23:07):
and nothing. You've been on the comeback. You got a
chance to take the lead. Aaron missed the throw. Whose
fault is that? When is he going to get any
of the blame? When are we all just going to
keep giving us due to pass? You're so desperate in

(23:31):
New York right now, you're firing a coach when it's
not even hardly the middle of October. You're flat out
giving up on him. You're saying it's all his fault
when that defense has been nothing but top tier. How
much of the of the offense is really his fault?

(23:51):
It should have been hacketted who was fired, not demoted. Fired,
Mike Tomlin pulled that move last season, fired his offensive coordination.
I mean, if anything, Sala could have pulled him, you know,
maneuver from that playbook, Man go top gun, Maverick do that. Look,

(24:18):
the Jets have serious issues. DeVante Adams might help a
little bit. But see though, here's the problem now, Now
Aaron has his blanket, he's a little blanky to make
him feel safe. And when his little blanky makes him
feel safe, regardless if anybody's open or not, if he's

(24:40):
under a little bit of pressure, he go and throw
it to DeVante Adams. So you might remember when he's
in Green Bay, he was upset because Davante wasn't there.
Wasn't that the case. Receivers were talking about how he
didn't want to give him the football, and then when
he was there, they were talking aout how they didn't
want give him a football to help out Davante Adams.
That whole case. It's cute that they're best is at all,

(25:05):
but this is professional sports. It says into the backyard
in the neighborhood, where you get to pick your best friend.
People are writing checks, People are making big money decisions.
Now when aarn is signing checks. When aarn is making
big money decisions, I won't give a damn about what

(25:27):
he does because it'll be up to him. But in
the meantime, we all know why DeVante Adams is there
and these two. It consistently never works out anywhere else.

(25:48):
Aaron's had a problem with coaches with trainers with players,
come on, man, stop it. Coordinators, everybody. He's had issues
DeVante Adams. It never works out anywhere he goes unless
he's with you buddy, my buddy and me, unless he's

(26:09):
with you know. And and here's the thing. It's not
a numbers problem, because the numbers are there. But he
can't get along with anybody else. And why can't he
because he's trying to always pittmaneuver himself back with Aaron Rodgers.
That's what they always do, both of them. They just
they do everything they can to, you know, pitt maneuver
each other back to each other. I mean, what the hell?

(26:32):
And it just keeps on going. They just keep on
doing it like it's no big deal. And they look
at everybody else like we're the weird ones. You guys
just don't understand. No, we do understand. We understand that
this is professional football and that you don't always get
to hang around your best friend Brody. It's cool that
they're homies, man, but at some point that that can't

(26:55):
matter in professional sports. You got jobs to do. You
don't get to say who's drafted. You don't get to
say nothing. The GMS and coaches and trainers and check
writers have to do what they believe is best for
their football team. It's okay to ask for your input. Hey,

(27:16):
what do you think about getting this guy? They he'll
work with the system. Do you think we'll be able
to make this work? That's one thing, But you having
a definitive decision on whether or not it's gonna work.
That mentality can kiss right the hell off. And I'm

(27:40):
gonna lead that at that. And thank you. When you
draft a quarterback, you're you're not a fan of me?
Should I would say so? Man, Rogers a big baby,
and I'll give him this. At least he admitted that

(28:00):
it wasn't rough in the passer. I'll give him that.
At least he did that. That was nice. I mean
even in game he was letting him know, like, bro,
sorry about that. Man. That's a tough one to take. Bodyweight, folks,
body weight. Man. If that's the case, man, I'm going

(28:24):
to the NFL right now. Man, I wait, what too?
Forty last time I checked crushing body weight crawl That's
how strong I am? What the hell out of here?
Body weight? The fact that oh no, oh Joe just
couldn't help it gooddie. Just well, there is a body

(28:46):
weight fact. It Shut the hell up, man. That ain't nothing.
That's not a penalty. Every quarterback whoever played in the seventies, eighties,
and nineties watching that game was pissed real in the officiating.
There was no favors done on either side in that
football game. I mean, people talk about games need to

(29:08):
be investigated. That's a game that should be investigated. One
it's one or more's going to jail if people looking
at that. I'm telling you that right now. All right,
a bit of a lull this weekend, although I gotta
tell you tonight, I am looking forward to Oregon and Purdue.

(29:31):
Right it's a short week for Oregon. They just had
we'll call it a monster win over Ohio State just
to be nice here. But let's just keep it a
butt here for a sec. There's already been a rule
change instituted because of that game. Will Howard fumbled the

(29:51):
bag at the end of that game and slid with
time running down. I guess it was his body's actual
reaction action, whatever the hell. So shortly for Oregon, not
a lot of time to celebrate that victory. Purdue, who's
been known over the last few years to be an
upset type football team, right, I mean they've they've had

(30:14):
some wins now at Michigan State, couple of other games. Look, guy,
that could be a close game on Friday night. I
really think that. I'm not sure that that's a pushover game.
And to be honest with you, I'm not banking on
Dylan Gabriel. I'm not saying he's arrived. He he had

(30:34):
a decent game, all right, Now, you gotta keep it going.
Where the leadership really shows is, guys, great win. We
got to move forward. I mean, and that's that's legitimately

(30:54):
where they need to be. Great win. We got to
move forward. Purdue might not be that good, but it's unsuspecting.
It's in Purdue jet lag right, short week, all those
things adding up. I'm not saying Oregon loses. I'm just

(31:19):
saying they need to be careful and take this game seriously.
And when I am saying, even if they do win,
I wouldn't be surprised, to be close, I'm not. Look,
I wouldn't be surprised if they lose. If I'm being
honest with you, you know, Dan Lanning and all that
blustering and everything. He loves. Hoot and hollering backtracks a

(31:41):
lot at the end of a game, by the way,
but regardless, the point is simply this. I don't know
that that game's all pushover for Oregon. I really don't.
I think that's an interesting matchup. Everybody wants to talk
about upset potential. I mean, there's your game right there,
all right, bit of a lull. Like I said, there
are a couple of really big games coming up this

(32:03):
Saturday for college football. Obviously you got Texas and Georgia. Look,
I've already said this and I mean this to me,
Texas looked better with Manning at quarterback. Now here's the skinny.
I understand who Texas played against while yours was out. Okay,

(32:26):
but yours is injury prone and there's nothing that says
he gets through this football game. Now, this is part
of the Gauntlet schedule. Now that Texas is getting ready
to run. Okay, great, you've already made it out of
the Red River game. You got off to a slow start.
Second half, you really dominated and controlled that foot well

(32:46):
really quarters two and three, right, that's what they did.
They controlled and dominated quarters two and three. And I've
already said, Sark has got a formula where it's up
the middle, downfield shots. Everything else in between is bit
of four play and window dressing. And there's no there's
not a whole he level out of it. Sorry, ladies.

(33:08):
So what's it gonna be, what's it gonna amount to?
It is gonna come down to coaching in this football game.
And look, I've already said that I was way more
impressed with Kirby Smart and how he handled the Georgia
Alabama game than I have been by any other coach
so far this season. And the reason for that is
is that football team was down twenty one zero. Those

(33:31):
guys are running over the sideline Herbstreet. You could read
his lips. Keep your heads up, keep your heads up.
We're okay, stay in the game. He's out there, he's
high five in his guys. He's getting involved. And then
in the second half of that football game, they came back.
Now they didn't beat Bama, but one thing I talked

(33:51):
about was I was more impressed with the coaching from
Georgia was Smart and how he did things than I
was Kiala de Boor. And what happened with Alabama and
Bama turned around the next week and they lost to Vanderbilt,
and then they struggle with South Carolina. Right now, Georgia
is still the best team to me in the SEC,

(34:15):
and I think if Texas wants to win this game,
they're gonna have to do something unique. They're gonna have
to do something different than what they've done now. Because
you're not starting Manning. The situation is you don't have
quite the athleticism. Not that yours is an athletic, but
a good majority of quarterbacks playing at least D one

(34:36):
or better now are period. It's just that you don't
really have that option game with him. The way that
you do Manning, Quinn viewers to me is more of
the old school dropback pass quarterback. I don't a problem
with it. Brady was very successful being that quarterback. Obviously.
I don't take issue with that type of quarterback. Okay,

(35:00):
but I think a fleet flicker, some end rounds, just
little things that are a little different, you know, a
wide receiver mid screen. Maybe I feel like that would
work well against George's defense. You're gonna have to keep
him off balance. You know. The play calling is gonna
be very significant in this game. I understand at the

(35:24):
end of the day, the players have to execute. I'm
not beyond that. I get that. But I look at
this game and I see that this is a coaching battle,
and I feel like Kirby Smart wins that battle right
now over Sark when you see how it ended in
the college football playoffs when the initial game plan doesn't work,

(35:45):
he has a tendency to get a little lost. Didn't
do much at Washington, goes to Texas. I get it
for the most part. You can almost call it a
program turnaround. Who's been fit nomenal. But I think, to
me right now, for Texas in terms of the SEC,

(36:06):
this game is the biggest game that they've had so far.
It's bigger than the Ou game. And I understand what
the red River game means. I get all that. What
I am saying to you is this is a bigger game.
This game is definitive for Texas. You need a huge
win in the SEC because ou'se a regular opponent for you.

(36:32):
You played it when you were into Big twelve. That's nothing, Okay,
it's a typical ball game for you. Now you're facing
a real SEC football team. Look, I'll be honest, if
I were Texas fan, I would feel a lot better
about Manning starting this game than I would yours. But

(36:56):
if yours gets hurt, I'm gonna tell you right now,
you're in phenomenal hands, and I get it yours. You know,
the Alabama game and then of course the year before.
I said that, if viewers hadn't got hurt, I think
Texas win's that football game. But they just seem to
have way too many more options and they have a
wider playbook when Manning is in there versus when yours

(37:18):
is in there. But you can't disrespect yours because he's
been with your program for so long and he's helped
you win some really big games. So you can't just
bench him and blow his ride to the NFL, because
that's also going to hurt your status in terms of
teams with the NFL. It's man, that's a tough one.

(37:39):
That really is a tough one. Speaking of Bama, Bama's
got Tennessee coming up this weekend. Look, I I like
Hypel I really do. I think he's a coach. I

(38:01):
think the players love playing for coach Iypol at Tennessee.
I think that eventually he is going to get a ring.
I just don't know, man, this year, it's it's tough. Look.
The good news is for Tennessee is the College Football
Playoff has left things wide open. Hell, even two losses

(38:26):
doesn't necessarily disqualify you. But the problem is, though, is
you're competing against a lot of potentially other one loss
football teams, So you got to really be on your
a game all the time. Still, for anybody saying that
the CFP with the expansion is ruining the regular season,

(38:46):
I don't think they understand the full magnitude of every game.
And with college football, the rivalries and everything are so
much different. I mean, come on, man, look at Will Howard.
He spent how many months in Ohio before he was like, yeah,
a team North. It doesn't take a whole of a lot.
You get there, you're in the atmosphere, you're around things.

(39:08):
You hear the chatter on the radio, local radio. You
see all the local posts that are happening on Twitter
and social media. You hear all the chatter. People are
walking up to you saying what they're saying. There's no
way that you can't feel what is going on. You
understand what I'm saying here. Having said that, Tennessee has

(39:32):
had a really difficult time recovering for real, since they
decided they could do a lot better than Phil Follmer.
And every year we have to deal with Tennessee being
a top twenty five preseason football team, and every year
they stumble and they lose four or five games in

(39:54):
a row, you know, or they lose the significant games
that end up being their detriment and down fall, and
it hurts them. Meanwhile, Alabama, is anybody really impressed by them?
I mean, come on, look, raise your hand if you're
really scared of Alabama right now? Oh wait, I don't

(40:17):
think anybody is. What I have been talking about since
that game where they played against Georgia is I think
it started with Vanderbilt. They saw how that game went down.
They went, this isn't the same Alabama, because the same
Alabama that we know would have won that game by
sixty And when Vandy beat them, there were plenty of

(40:42):
videos circulating around the internet, players in locker rooms watching
it go down, going, yo, did Alabama really just lose
the Vanderbilt I think in that moment, Vanderbilt gained more
respect than Alabama had at that point. And then the
South Carolina game. I'm not saying that you shouldn't respect somebody,

(41:06):
but respecting fear are often two different things. Now, you
can respect somebody out of fear, but pure fear. Pure
fear will never make you respect somebody. And if you
don't respect somebody and you're not afraid of them, only

(41:27):
one or two things happen from there. You play confident,
assertive football or you don't take them seriously and you lose.
So what's Tennessee gonna do? Are they gonna play confident,
assertive football or are they gonna let their egos get

(41:47):
ahead of them and lose. I just I don't think
anybody's a fraid of Bama right now, man, I really don't.
And I think the coaching job that is happening there
right now, I'm not sure the players really take to
him the way that they did Nick Saban. And look,
you've got Ryan Williams. He is a hell of a
wide receiver at age seventeen. That kid has the world

(42:09):
in front of him right now. But and I do
mean but that is not a substitution for the rest
of that team. For Jalen Milroe quarterback. You've got to
find mill Row in situations where he can actually dictate
to the defense what I'm basically throwing up prayers in

(42:30):
a double coverage and hoping Ryan Williams makes a play.
After a while, playing reckless football like that is going
to catch up to you. And I know somebody's gonna say, well,
that's the quarterback being smart, understanding what his guys can
do and just giving us a receiver chance to make
the play. Bro ball placement is a thing, and every
one of those receivers is having to stop and adjust

(42:51):
in some way, somehow or another. To a good majority
of footballs that are being thrown by Milrow. Really gonna
happen is one day he's gonna leave a guy out
to dry. They're gonna go for that football and that
will be it. They will get peppered and they will

(43:12):
not see the rest of the season. Ball placement is
a thing. Go watch Jane Daniels, the king of ball placement.
That is the definition of giving your guy a chance
to go and make a play on the football. Peyton Manning,
as much as I can't stand him, think is overrated.
Ball placement. Definition of it, definition of it. That's all
