WAYT say. I used to think about things, you know,
(01:10):
like do you love me?
Speaker 2 (01:13):
Do you want me? Are you gonna call me like
you said you want? Is this really your real for years?
Speaker 1 (01:18):
Hello everybody, and welcome to episode two ninety what Really
Yes to ninety nine of What Are Your Thoughts? Today
is Friday, January tenth, twenty twenty five. Is this our
first episode of the new year?
Speaker 2 (01:35):
I don't think. I think it's our second.
Speaker 1 (01:37):
Oh yeah, um, scratch that. Twenty twenty five and it
is six twenty three pm and we're coming to your
life from Fresno, California. Are you sure?
Speaker 2 (01:49):
I'm almost positive it's our second episode?
Speaker 1 (01:51):
Oh wow? Okay, Well, Happy New Year yet again.
Speaker 2 (01:54):
Happy New Year for this child.
Speaker 1 (01:58):
Shout out to as Pellegrino as Senza zero calories, zero carves,
zero sugar. Shout out to Costco for providing the twenty
four pack, I believe. So there's a lot happening in
the news, as we all know. So should we just
(02:21):
confront the elephant in the room, which is, I should say,
the fire in the wild lands?
Speaker 2 (02:27):
I think we should.
Speaker 1 (02:28):
So there are about I don't even know how many.
There's so many different wildfires that are happening right now
in the Los Angeles area. Let's see specifically Pacific Palisades.
I believe Woodland, Woodland Hills or Woodland. I think it's
(02:50):
Woodland Hills. I always get the too confused because there's
one up North and then there's the one in LA
But I think the one up north Woodland, and then
Woodland Hills is in La one or the other. AnyWho,
what the Hollywood Hills. I think one broke out yesterday
(03:14):
in Calabasas or the night before, a brand new one.
So there's several going on. I have been keeping up
with some of the press conferences that have been held
by the Los Angeles Mayor and the what Fire Department
and whatnot, the police chief. I guess so it's been
(03:38):
a few it's been like several hours since I last heard.
But what I did hear was that they had what
a person of interest who they think may have started
the Kenneth fire, which is obviously one of the fires burning,
probably still burning now, but they didn't have enough probable
(03:58):
cause to charge with arson. So I believed he was
charged with something that had to do with like violating
his probation, So probably another reason to hold him and
keep him right so that way they can question him
and whatnot. But I think people saw that he was
maybe trying to ignite something or and so that's why
(04:21):
they arrested him. So because I'm sure most of us,
all of us are wondering, well, how did these fires start? Right,
and it sounds very likely that either one person or
multiple people are setting them off. And what's contributing to
them being so just devastating is that it's in a
(04:43):
very forestry area in Los Angeles, and the forestry areas
are very dry because there hasn't been any rain. And
let's see, the winds are about what eighty miles an hour,
And so I was yesterday as that fire alarm was
(05:06):
going off in the room, I was like, Okay, I'm
gonna kind of equate this to how a fire like
how it just burns out of control. So somehow Olivia
must have like flicked the incense and that's why it
(05:27):
just started burning the stick. So all the incense fell,
but the stick started catching on fire. So as I
was splashing water like this, you could see the flames
start to move and the flame started to go up
and get bigger even though I was splashing them with water,
(05:48):
and so I was like, wow, this is kind of
how this is how it can become hard to contain,
especially Okay, so you need oxygen, right, so unless it's
something is trapping or put over the fire, it's just
going to continue to burn right and get bigger. And
(06:11):
then the wind from my hand movements was starting to
get the flame onto the next stick. So just think
of that with these huge fires, right, yeah, dry condition.
Speaker 2 (06:24):
Or use any fire, I guess right.
Speaker 1 (06:26):
But I'm saying, and then even though they have water,
that's being what sprayed and poured and the retardant, well,
obviously it's just not enough. Excuse me. So I've been
trying to keep up with what's going on, But have
you seen any or heard of any of like the
(06:48):
eyewitness accounts and whatnot.
Speaker 2 (06:50):
So not necessarily any eye witness accounts, but I have
just seen the various what social media posts where someone
is saying my place got burnt down, or if anyone
like you know their places got burned down, please reach out.
I just think it's sad. It's sad because it's something
we can't control.
Speaker 1 (07:07):
So I saw a video. I don't know if you
saw it too, but it's I believe a family and
their dog. You don't see them, you just see what
they're recording. I think this was from a few days ago.
They're like in an all glass house, and so the
flames it would be the equivalent to this, And the
(07:28):
flames are just right here and it's so windy, so
it just looks like the flames are just being blown everywhere.
It is so scary. I'll have to show this to you,
and it's like, what can you do? I don't know
why didn't they evacuate? I don't know. People have their
own reasons as to why they can't, or they don't
(07:48):
want to or what have you. And it sounds from
what I've heard because I saw a few residents being
interviewed today. They were able to go back to their
homes to just kind of see if they could salvage anything,
and it sounds like a lot of them just thought, well,
this would only be like a one or two day thing.
They didn't know to the extent that the fire yes
(08:13):
the severity. So maybe that's what it was. The people
who stayed and recorded this particular video, maybe they didn't
think that it was gonna be that bad, but I
mean it was. The video is so scary, especially because
you can't go anywhere. You're just stuck. And I was like, Okay,
they're gonna burn alive because the flames could easily just
(08:36):
go through this glass right here, right yeah, And that's
exactly these glass doors and the flames are just everywhere.
Super scary. So what do you So? I'm seeing a
lot of on social media, a lot of people very
much not in favor of the prisoners.
Speaker 2 (09:00):
Oh, fighting the fires, fighting the fires. You mentioned that
to your dad, So I would say, if they were
allowed to become firefighters after after, than by all means.
But since they're not, it's kind of like you're just
using the free labor. I mean, that's kind of been
the whole thing about prisons anyway, right, slave labor, free labor. Right,
it's just now in the situation is right in front
(09:22):
of our faces.
Speaker 1 (09:23):
So, according to NPR, incarcerated what is it, prison labor
has been used to fight fire fight fires since nineteen fifteen.
I didn't know that.
Speaker 2 (09:41):
I don't know.
Speaker 1 (09:41):
So this has been around for a really long time.
So now they do get paid. It sounds like they
get paid between five dollars and eighty cents and ten
dollars and twenty four cents a day. And I don't
think that this is something that they have to do
against their will. I think they volunteer for this, but
(10:02):
obviously it's like, sure, they volunteer for it, but it
is kind of against their will because they're prisoners, you
know what I mean. Yeah, So now it's according to NPR,
it says that there's not a punishment if they don't.
Speaker 2 (10:21):
Do this, but it's highly encouraged.
Speaker 1 (10:24):
It's, yeah, highly encouraged. And so it says, quote, these
firefighting crews are made up of incarcerated volunteers deemed physically
and mentally fit who have exhibited good behavior and follow
the rules according to CDCR. So I think that's the
California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation. They must also have
eight years or less remaining on their sentence, so when
(10:48):
they're not doing this, they also respond to other emergencies,
it says, So, you're right, it is pretty much free labor.
They're paid very little, and of course they're more prone
to injuries because they're not trained like an actual firefighter
would be. So but I mean, so right now, it
(11:12):
sounds like there's about nine hundred incarcerated fellows, fellows and fellows,
I was fellow felons, we'll go with that, who are
helping fight these fires. So now it does suck that, Yeah,
they can't be a firefighter after this. I don't even
(11:32):
think they can be a police officer after this. So
that is what sucks, because they're being exploited pretty much
for their services. Yeah, and I was thinking about this today,
I was like, wow, firefighters, like we all when we
think of first responders or like heroes, I feel like
(11:56):
it's always police officers. That's just in my head, police
officers and doctors. But I feel like we don't ever
give enough credit to firefighters because when you really think
about it, fighting a fire is absolutely terrifying fighting a fire.
(12:20):
Like yesterday, when those flames were coming up, I was like,
oh shit, Like this picture is right next to it.
It could catch on fire, and then what's gonna happen?
And instinctively, you're just scared of fire. Most people, just
for whatever reason, innately, we're afraid to get burned, even
if you're not tied literally figuratively, very Bookley, we're all afraid.
(12:48):
We're all afraid of fire, right, But firefighters truly put
their lives on the line to save buildings, humans, animals
from fires. And I don't think that they get the
credit and the recognition that they deserve. No, truly, it's
(13:10):
truly heroic. These people are going and not just from California,
but there's firefighters from Canada who are going to these
trying to help put out these fires. There's the prisoners,
there's the firefighters from Mexico and so on, who are
(13:31):
all putting their lives, not only their lives, but their health.
Obviously there's gonna be some sort of health consequence from
inhaling all of this ash and whatnot. They're putting their
whole lives, mental health, everything, respiratory system on the line.
(13:52):
To help, and I really think that it's commendable and
I think that they deserve way more recognition, way more pay.
I'm sure they get paid a decent amount, but they
should definitely get paid more. And what I did like
is I think one of the fire chiefs in LA
is a woman, and I think one of the fire
(14:12):
chiefs or the fire chief here is a woman as well.
So I think that that's like pretty cool. But going
back to the prison labor thing, or at least just
with fighting fires, I mean, I don't know if they're
(14:34):
not being forced to do this and they are volunteering,
I mean, I'm sure that there's more to it than
just that. But if they're not being forced to do this,
and if this is something that's for the greater good
of the community, then I think that this is I
(14:58):
don't know if it's necessary, but under it's I see
it as somewhat of Now, the pay sucks, of course,
but I mean, do you think the pay should be
a more for an imprisoned person or do you think
(15:19):
that they should get paid I.
Speaker 2 (15:21):
Mean, I don't see the issue with paying him the same,
but the the only what the argument against paying them
the same is that they didn't have the same training.
So I guess it.
Speaker 1 (15:32):
Would be that they don't deserve to get paid what
a firefighter gets, but because they're being.
Speaker 2 (15:37):
There, so they deserve. They deserve to fight the fire,
but not get paid from fighting.
Speaker 1 (15:42):
The fire, right, right, And so that goes back to
them being exploited.
Speaker 2 (15:46):
Right in a sense. Yeah, I mean I don't necessarily
agree with that point where they deserve to fight the fire,
but they don't deserve to get paid. I think I
would like to hear a counter argument as to why
they shouldn't get paid at least the same rate. I'm
not saying get paid more, but I don't. I would
just like to hear a counter argument.
Speaker 1 (16:04):
What do you think they do with that money?
Speaker 2 (16:06):
The prisoners goes to the commisary? What can you really
I do?
Speaker 1 (16:10):
So can you take that money like into the real
world with you?
Speaker 2 (16:14):
And I'm that's that's a good question. No, that's a
good question. I don't Maybe there's a way where you
can set it up or it's like, hey, you cant
you guys can just keep my checks and I'll get
them when I get out, or put it on my books, like.
Speaker 1 (16:26):
And do they get taxed on this money.
Speaker 2 (16:29):
Probably that such Yeah, imagine any taxed like four dollars
an hour.
Speaker 1 (16:34):
Yeah, jeez, Louise.
Speaker 2 (16:36):
I mean, I guess you'd get tax less because you're
getting paid very meanty, so you get tax less.
Speaker 1 (16:42):
But still like a few quarters are just taken out.
But still, I mean, I think that this is what
a very admirable, commendable thing to do. And hopefully the
imprisoned labor this will make them feel better about themselves
(17:03):
and this is kind of this can kind of be
part of their rehabilitation. You know, they're doing something good
for the community. Usually when you do something good for others,
you feel good about yourself. Now, some would say, wow,
that's like, how dare you think of it? Like that?
Speaker 2 (17:20):
I would like to know, And that's why I asked,
like I would like to hear the counter argument, because
I just I would just want to know, like where
would the counter argument come from?
Speaker 1 (17:27):
Now, we do know somebody who's a volunteer firefighter who
was a prisoner.
Speaker 2 (17:34):
That volunteered and fires.
Speaker 1 (17:36):
Yes, I won't say who this man is on air,
but we we possibly could. I don't know how that
would work, but that would be pretty cool to see
if they liked it, or you know, if it changed
their perspective, would they become said firefighter? If they would
(17:56):
you know, if they had that opportunity to.
Speaker 2 (17:59):
Would you rather volunteer to fight a fire like the
ones in LA right now? Oruld you rather volunteer to
be in the military.
Speaker 1 (18:07):
Well, when you're in the military, you're not always no,
you have aged in warfare.
Speaker 2 (18:12):
You're volunteering to go do combat, and you may not
necessarily be on the front lines, but you're you're going
to be in combat.
Speaker 1 (18:19):
Hell to the no, you know what, I'm going to
go fight the fire. I and I was listening to
the radio yesterday and they were saying that they were
looking for quote like competent volunteers to be in the
military to go help with the fires.
Speaker 2 (18:35):
And I was like, I would be deemed incompetent, Like
I'm sorry, You're just not competent enough to go fight this.
Speaker 1 (18:41):
Fire someone who inhales the smoke. But I was like,
because they were like, there's people right now on their
way to southern California to.
Speaker 2 (18:53):
Help, I'm sure there are.
Speaker 1 (18:55):
And I was like, I would totally do it.
Speaker 2 (18:58):
I would, So why haven't you?
Speaker 1 (18:59):
Because I have to go to work this weekend. Okay.
Speaker 2 (19:02):
You know, so if you were to tell your job like, hey,
I'm going to miss a few days if to go
fight this volunteer to help fight this fire, do you
think they would understand? Like, I'll be back on Wednesday.
Speaker 1 (19:11):
I just got to go, well, you know what, given
that I'm in good standing with them, because I just
did my evaluation and I got like a plus'es all across.
I swear to god, you could even look at it yourself,
they might be okay with it. I thought they were
gonna tell me something for calling out three times and
six months, but they didn't, and they were like, are
(19:32):
you going to become a nurse? You know? So I
was like, wow, okay. I think they're just so desperate
to have somebody who shows up for the most part
and who seems competent that they're like like, just it
doesn't even matter, we just need a body to be here.
(19:53):
But I was like, I would totally volunteer. I would
totally volunteer. Now would I be the one holding the water?
Probably not, because it looks really heavy.
Speaker 2 (20:06):
Well, obviously it's not just you think it's you and
through Florida people.
Speaker 1 (20:12):
On other person.
Speaker 2 (20:13):
What roles a volunteer firefire? Do you think you would
excel him?
Speaker 1 (20:15):
Maybe I could help triageways.
Speaker 2 (20:20):
Is that like a wound?
Speaker 1 (20:23):
Sometimes that is along with it? Yes, but triage as in, Okay,
there's ten people with burns and injuries, smoke, inhalation and whatnot.
Let me assess and let me figure out who needs
the most, who's the most critical?
Speaker 2 (20:41):
Yeah, you know who's not.
Speaker 1 (20:43):
And then let me try to work on all of
you and see how I can help you guys. So
maybe I could do something like that. My critical thinking
skills would come in handy. No, but seriously, uh I
what else did I see from this? I saw a
lot of people, like I said, they thought that they
(21:04):
were only going to be gone for a couple of days,
and they really didn't take anything with them. Yeah, and
their mementos, they're sentimental items. They're completely burned there, everything's gone.
And I was like, damn, that's the That's the I
think that would hurt me more.
Speaker 2 (21:26):
Is having my personal belongings left behind the.
Speaker 1 (21:30):
Phone like Olivia's photos. What else? Uh, birth certificates, social
Security cards? I mean, what else? I saw some guy
who said the interviewer the fire was literally like approaching
his house. This was on air. I think it was
(21:55):
on his neighbor's roof and it was coming for his
house next.
Speaker 2 (21:59):
I swear to God wanted to make him wait.
Speaker 1 (22:01):
No, And the interviewer was like, well, like the fire's
like right here, you know. And then you see the
neighbor with his hose like trying to hose down his roof,
and he or she was like, are you not leaving
or how come you're not leaving? And he was like, well,
because this is my kid's home. And I was just like,
oh hell to the note. I'm sorry, but so you
(22:25):
guys are all like gonna stay burn here together, like
the flames are right literally right next door. So that
just I just had I don't know, I just started
thinking like would I like, would you.
Speaker 2 (22:44):
Stay and the apartment probably not?
Speaker 1 (22:48):
Like Okay, if you have your own house and you
had your family and there was a fire literally right
next door, you know your.
Speaker 2 (22:55):
House is next So did I have time to like
what the word to prepare crack? Ye? Did I have
time to prep beforehand? Or it is just like I'm
just finding out about it that day.
Speaker 1 (23:05):
Honestly, it didn't seem like he was prepared. It seemed
like he was. I think he was going to try
to put out the fire himself. And mind you, this
is like I don't think you can just yeah one man, Yeah,
this is humongous. So his thing was, well, this is
(23:26):
my kids home.
Speaker 2 (23:27):
Well, if I had time to prepare, I would probably,
like I want to say, I'd probably leave because then
I would just have everything ready and you just go.
If I didn't prepare and I had like a lot
of sentimental items at the house, it would really just
depend how sentimental items were. Maybe he feels the house
(23:48):
is worth dying for.
Speaker 1 (23:50):
But what about the kids, Like I were the kids there?
That's what I got that the kids, they were there?
So do you I don't know. I Grime said something
very prophetic. She said that the wildfires are biblical and
we might be out of time.
Speaker 2 (24:10):
So I had again, I had to ask you that
the same thing, or is this I didn't want to
take it there?
Speaker 1 (24:14):
Bring God in it?
Speaker 2 (24:15):
Yeah? Is that? And maybe I shouldn't be asking you this,
But is this like a sign of the times.
Speaker 1 (24:24):
Yeah, well, this is what she said. Actually, the vibe
is rather biblical out here.
Speaker 2 (24:30):
It's a real biblical vibe.
Speaker 1 (24:32):
We might be out of time with regards to twiddling
our thumbs whilst every level of our culture, environment, government institutions,
mental health, et cetera. Have obviously crumbled. I should have said.
Speaker 2 (24:48):
It in her accent.
Speaker 1 (24:50):
Yeah, well, like she has like that. She has nothing
to worry about, honestly, because she is well, she's all
about going to Mars and inhabiting other planets, so she
is all, yeah, she is all about that, and with
(25:12):
being what's his name's baby mama, she's set for like
she's really yeah, she's got resources. I'm sure she can
just take some sort of rocket and just launch herself
up to whatever planet. Right, So she's good. I don't
you know everyone with every natural disaster, man made or not,
(25:34):
everybody always says, oh, this is the the time is near.
Everyone's been saying that for forever, right, So do I
think that like, oh, this is like God's gonna come?
Not necessarily, but do I think that America needs to
wake up and get its priority straight? Definitely, because it
(25:56):
just seems like nothing. Ever, So shout out to Prince
for the song. And I think album called Sign Oh
the Times like Sign of the Times. I think it's
oh apostrophe, I could be either way. Great song, so oh,
(26:20):
But do I think that like this is necessarily the end? No,
I don't think it's necessarily the end. I think that
it's just pushed us closer. But I don't think it's
the end yet, but we're probably what is it? Like
the doomsday clock is like thirty seconds before midnight? Right,
so we still have some time but not a lot.
But in all seriousness, I don't it's like our disasters
(26:48):
like this always have They always happened this often and
we just didn't know about it? Or are they? And
now with social media blah blah blah, everybody knows about
everything at any given time, right, Or is it that
they're really like it's really happening in the yes.
Speaker 2 (27:04):
No, I think climate change is a little bit to
do with it too. I don't know if climate change
has anything to do with the fires that are happening,
but I think more disasters could possibly be happening due
to climate change.
Speaker 1 (27:14):
So I think climate change factors in by obviously, lack
of rain, right, lack of rain. LA is notorious so
for not having that much rain to begin with, but
California has been dry for I don't know how long,
(27:36):
which is not good. So lack of rain. I don't
know what the forestry department or whatever, parks department, I
don't know if they're doing their role and keeping up
with the forests. But at Donald Trump, Donald Trump said
(27:57):
that by raking the forest, like none of this would happen.
Maybe he was onto something.
Speaker 2 (28:03):
You think it would take to rake hire forest? Just
pick up all the leaves. Hey, go pick up all
the leaves and get back when you're doing.
Speaker 1 (28:10):
And what kind of rake is this? Can I get
this from? It's just a normal race, It's a normal rake,
and just start raking. I I'm not opposed to raking.
It does take some time because you have to keep
going over and over.
Speaker 2 (28:25):
Would you rather volunteer to fight those fires or volunteer
go rake up the leaves in the forest.
Speaker 1 (28:30):
Oh, definitely fight the fires. Put me right there in
the front line. And I'm kind of like small enough
to fit in maybe like a crevice or a hole.
But to rake that forest, Oh my goodness, Where where
does it start? Where does it end? Is there a
starting point? Is it where you the sign where it
(28:53):
says welcome to Sierra Nevada. I think so that technically
start there just.
Speaker 2 (28:58):
A forest all around us because we're surrounded by trees.
Speaker 1 (29:00):
So okay, so just pick an area and then when
you're done, do you put them in a trash bag
that's a black bag? Does one of those caterpillar like
excavators or whatever did they come Trounce pick up the
(29:21):
pick up? Yeah? What are the logistics behind just raking
the forest?
Speaker 2 (29:27):
And it would make it that I'm thinking about, probably
make it are like trash ish worse because there's just
that much more plastic bags that we.
Speaker 1 (29:34):
Weren't using before, right, So man, But and then I
started thinking, Uncle Jack, he lives my friend Luna and
her boyfriend or as Olivia calls her, the rock star,
(29:56):
she lives there. And then we have our other family
members too. But I don't think they're closed. It's more
uncle Jack. That is many celebrities and other people have
lost their homes. I don't know too much about like
this whole insurance thing. Like I said, I'm not very
educated when it comes to insurance, but I don't know.
(30:18):
And then I've heard about people, oh the looters.
Speaker 2 (30:23):
So explain that to me. I I didn't know they're
what are they looting exactly?
Speaker 1 (30:29):
It's like, and I'm assuming they're looting because they're these
homes are billion dollar homes.
Speaker 2 (30:36):
I'm right, they're looting the home. Say they're just looting
the forest. I thought they were just going Honestly, I didn't.
I didn't.
Speaker 1 (30:43):
But oh, okay, now's our time to finally shine and
go loot the forest. Okay.
Speaker 2 (30:53):
Honestly, I didn't even when when you when your dad
mentioned looters yesterday, when you had said when I guess
you had mentioned it to him, My first mind thought
went like, Okay, they're looting the forest.
Speaker 1 (31:03):
Okay, perhaps, but I think it's more so the homes
they're but the I'm just like, first of all, it's
smoky and hazardous as hell, Like you're not, okay whatever.
(31:23):
People will do anything in any sort of condition, right,
I mean, they were looting in what is it, Hurricane Katrina,
and I'm pretty sure the waters. Obviously the education system
failed me, and so I'm just like, what what are they? Yeah,
(31:44):
what are they looting there? Everything is ash literally, I
guess any fireproof Okay, yeah, I wonder what that would be.
But I don't even think that it's them getting anything
because there's nothing to get. I think it's more so
the rush of like I'm gonna do something bad, it's risky,
(32:09):
Let's see if I get caught. I think that's what
it is.
Speaker 2 (32:16):
Hey, have you hod it? Which one?
Speaker 1 (32:23):
I don't think that I've ever looted. I've definitely taken
some ideas from various stores, but I have never actually
looted before. I really quickly speaking of Grimes and her
connection to Elon Musk, my thing is like I started thinking,
(32:48):
there's all these people with money, billionaires, right, and they
could easily give money to what's going on right, or
to help these departments, these counties, these cities with their funding.
Because they have so much money, they're never going to
(33:09):
be able to spend it, even if they pass it
down for generations. There's gonna be all this money, right,
So I'm just like, you know, like Elon Musk, he
should be helping out. It shouldn't. What I'm saying is
is that it just reinforces that these billionaires have this
(33:35):
money and it's just to be greedy. Like it's not
sure they may do philanthropic things with it, but how
much are they really helping society so.
Speaker 2 (33:49):
You're saying these fires just reinforce the fact that billionaires
are greedy.
Speaker 1 (33:54):
What I'm saying is is they could be helping. The
billionaires could be helping the city of Los Angeles. You
know what, I have all this money. I'm gonna take
care of the whole cost because right now they are
relying on the federal government on FEMA whatever to take
(34:16):
care of the costs for cleanup and whatnot. Right what
I'm saying is is that the billionaires, they excuse me,
they could be helping out too. If I were a billionaire,
even a millionaire, you know, I, yes, exactly, yes, I
(34:41):
would be playing right there, probably like some firefighter simulation
game and then helping. But they should be like, you
know what, I'm gonna cut. I'm gonna take care especially
him because he's gonna be in office, right, He's part
of whatever that. Yeah, so he should doge out so
of his money and be and be helping. You know.
Speaker 2 (35:04):
Yeah, You're not wrong. You and walka Floga have the
same exact statement. He said, we can send X amount
of money to Ukraine to fight to help him fight
the war where there, but we can't do anything to
fight the fires.
Speaker 1 (35:15):
Here in a well, so physically fighting the fires. There's
logistics behind that, right, I'm talking monetary, yes, monetarily you know,
helping or I'm thinking too, like why are there only
two drones that are help assisting in this?
Speaker 2 (35:34):
What are the drones doing?
Speaker 1 (35:38):
I don't remember, but somehow they're assisting in this. Okay,
so there's only two. One of them crashed into or
a plane crashed into one or something like that. So
it's out of commission until Monday. So okay, why are
there only two? I guess because that's what the budget
allows or whatever. But you know, there's people who have
(35:59):
all this money who could buy like one hundred drones
to help. What I'm saying is is people who have
a shit ton of money should be using their money
as a resource to help those who don't have anything. Yea,
and it said these people are struggling, they have no homes,
businesses are gone, churches, schools, blah blah blah, shopping centers.
(36:19):
There's people with a shit ton of money who are
just continuously getting rich and who are not helping those
who really need it. And some would argue, well, that's
their money, they don't have to blah blah blah. But
you know what the right thing to do would be
to help people who are being who are devastated right now.
(36:41):
They don't have a house, blah blah blah. A lot
of people had to literally leave their cars in the
middle of the road and flee on foot to get
away from the fire because there was so much traffic
that they said, you know, we're gonna get stuck here,
so they left their cars. These people are still paying
their car payments. Their cars they're gone, they're reduced to
(37:03):
ash whatever, they're inoperable, you know what I mean. So
I just had to.
Speaker 2 (37:09):
Say that that's a very fair point.
Speaker 1 (37:11):
I I just had to say that. So anyways, hopefully
the fire. I mean, like I said, I don't know
what else is going on with this, with these fires.
I haven't heard I haven't looked into any more updates.
But it's just did I already answer about if, oh,
(37:33):
if God is coming or if we're in biblical time?
What do you think?
Speaker 2 (37:37):
So that was my first thought. I Mean, there was
a picture that I seen. I think it was like
the skyline of la and literally the Lord of the Rings, Like,
what is it? The irs?
Speaker 1 (37:46):
I've never watched them.
Speaker 2 (37:47):
I have not watched that have zero interest. Actually too,
I have about as much interest in that as I
do in Chronicles in Narnia.
Speaker 1 (37:54):
Oh god, how is that?
Speaker 2 (37:58):
I it's no or Percy Jackson the Lightning themes any
sort of like sci fi fantasy or yeah, I have
like negative interesting same like I'll give that another person
can have. They can take my ticket at the movie theater.
Same same, But I do I mean that I shouldn't say,
like a hunter, well you know what, I feel like,
it's better to be safe and sorry. I mean, why
(38:20):
not get right spiritually, Like it's not a bad thing
if you just decide to do that right now. So
I feel like it would be kind of smart to
look at this as yeah, look at this as like
a warning, even if it isn't. Like it's better to
be safe than sorry.
Speaker 1 (38:34):
I think that I don't know, Like I said, our
priorities as a country are all jacked up. And what
I don't like too is people on social media bringing
politics into it.
Speaker 2 (38:48):
And are they labeling the fire like as the.
Speaker 1 (38:51):
Democratic or part of the Green Party. But what they're
saying is that, oh, well it's California, you know, like
liberals fault. Yeah, let them burn. That's what you get
when you elect blah blah blah Gavin Uskum or whatever. Well,
a lot of people are saying that it's literally his fault. Now.
(39:12):
See I can't say yes or no because I haven't
looked into.
Speaker 2 (39:17):
That his policy used to see if that's something he
would even do.
Speaker 1 (39:22):
Exactly. But I also know that people always have to
have somebody to blame, right, Yeah, but yeah, I don't
like that people are like, oh, well, who cares this California?
Like they think that they're better than people. They're rich,
so and it's like, no, it doesn't matter.
Speaker 2 (39:39):
Cans still like a humane or humanity.
Speaker 1 (39:41):
Yeah and okay, yeah a lot like a lot of
the celebrities who lost their homes. Yeah, more than likely
they have another house. But still, like, I don't think
it's okay to be Everyone still suffers in some way, right,
whether you're rich or poor, they're gonna maybe suffer a
little bit than someone like me or you, but still
(40:03):
they're suffering. No one wants their home to burn or
their sentimental stuff. So any who shout out to LA
But you know what, Los Angeles is pretty gritty. Yeah,
the peeps of La are pretty Yeah, I feel like
(40:26):
what Angelino's Angelinos are pretty tough. I mean that's what
I mean. Like LA and New York that those are
two cities where the people are always going to bounce back. Tonight,
yesterday I took an L, but tonight I bounced back.
Speaker 2 (40:43):
Is that just last night? I took it L but
to bounce back?
Speaker 1 (40:46):
So Angelino's New Yorkers, I mean, look what happened in
what's that nine to eleven? New Yorkers bounce back La?
There's always stuff happening in LA, and somehow they always
bounce back.
Speaker 2 (41:02):
Okay.
Speaker 1 (41:03):
So, and I did see a certain somebody that you
and I both know who said that the Hollywood sign
should burn down so that way they can put something
else there, because like LA and Hollywood are really fake.
Speaker 2 (41:19):
Okay, so what do you suggest replace this?
Speaker 1 (41:22):
I think he wanted something that had to do with
God or.
Speaker 2 (41:26):
But I find a cross they should just put across.
Speaker 1 (41:29):
Isn't there across there? Like as you're driving somewhere in La,
you do see.
Speaker 2 (41:33):
A big for sure? In Brazil? Yeah, I know where
you're talking about.
Speaker 1 (41:37):
I've been there.
Speaker 2 (41:38):
So, speaking of bouncing back, did you happen to catch
the first episode of Monday Night Raw on Netflix.
Speaker 1 (41:46):
No, but I saw that it was like advertised.
Speaker 2 (41:48):
Yeah, so I believe that's primarily going to be Maybe
I'm sure it's gonna be shown elsewhere, but I think
primarily it's gonna be shown on Netflix. How do you
feel about that? So?
Speaker 1 (41:56):
Is that the home now? Is it not USA?
Speaker 2 (41:58):
Or definitely not USA? That hasn't been the case for
a long time.
Speaker 1 (42:03):
I know Smacked Down and Drama and what's the other one.
There's characters welcome, we.
Speaker 2 (42:12):
Know drama and I forgot what TBS is.
Speaker 1 (42:15):
We know funny. They're all synonymous with an A. They're
all the same entity to me. But I know SmackDown
was or is I think on Fox like Friday Nights
or something. Yes, And oh samn, hey, I didn't even
know realize that she jumped up on me really quickly.
(42:35):
I tried to put her in the cage last night
and she was crying and anyways, so I'm sorry forgive me.
Where were we.
Speaker 2 (42:49):
In the cage?
Speaker 1 (42:50):
She actually fits in there if she's like crams her
legs and she looks very much like an abandoned, neglected child,
Yes she'll be okay, But I put her in there
last sage. You're barking and crying.
Speaker 2 (43:03):
I did.
Speaker 1 (43:04):
We had to take her out, ye up by barking
all freaking night.
Speaker 2 (43:10):
Well, it's a little like I get why you were
gonna put her in the cage, but since you already
have her in the room, it's like the cage is
just like it's I don't want to use the word redundant,
but that's exactly what it would because it's just like
she's already in a confined space. You just put her
in a more confined space.
Speaker 1 (43:28):
Yeah, so I can't do it? I yeah, I know,
But what can you do? Right? Really quickly shout out
to Stanley Steamer. I think it was Zach and Trevor.
I'm sorry, guys if I got the ones black ones white.
They're both very tall, thin men.
Speaker 2 (43:48):
Stanley Steamer bros.
Speaker 1 (43:49):
Yes, but they were great and I left them a
pretty good review and a good tip for each of them.
But they were both very polite, respectful, communicative, and they
listened to what I needed done and they executed it
very quickly, and they did a good job. They were
(44:12):
done in like thirty minutes, maybe even less, but they
were done in thirty minutes, and I was scared because
I was like, shit, Alva's gonna come by and see
because they had that long hose. Yes, but she never
came by. But they did a really good job. I
was so appreciative. So I said, you know what, I'm
(44:34):
definitely once I get my tax return, we're gonna do
it again. Boys and but shout out to Stanley Steamer
certified certified. Is it carpet cleaner or just cleaner? Either way?
Speaker 2 (44:49):
Shout out Alma, No, it's Alva.
Speaker 1 (44:53):
I promise you e l v A. Did they still
say e A sports in the game?
Speaker 2 (45:00):
I hope they do.
Speaker 1 (45:00):
Is it's in the game, it's the game. Yeah. Anyways,
going back to so I got sidetracked two subjects ago,
So let's reel it back. No, we're past that.
Speaker 2 (45:14):
Pearl Harbor.
Speaker 1 (45:16):
What were we just talking about?
Speaker 2 (45:18):
I had mentioned Monday Night raws on Netflix.
Speaker 1 (45:21):
Oh okay, yes, who's still playing?
Speaker 2 (45:25):
Still playing?
Speaker 1 (45:25):
Still wrestling?
Speaker 2 (45:27):
That we know the Rock did come out.
Speaker 1 (45:29):
Of course he did that.
Speaker 2 (45:32):
That probably answers it. John C. And I think is
going on a little like farewell tour.
Speaker 1 (45:35):
Okay, really quickly shout out to the Rock Olivia. So
that that's her new crush.
Speaker 2 (45:40):
So she when did she see the rock?
Speaker 1 (45:42):
That's what I said, But she said she's moved on
from I think it's Michael Jordan.
Speaker 2 (45:48):
Okay, so just from him elite high level athletes. Yes, interesting,
So the next one is gonna be like Michael Phelps
per after that?
Speaker 1 (45:55):
What happened to him? I mean, bong scandal security.
Speaker 2 (46:02):
He is, I'm sure after you got those gold medals?
I mean, what does he really need to do?
Speaker 1 (46:07):
He may either.
Speaker 2 (46:09):
I could be getting him confused at Sewan White, but
one of them competed after like they had were already
like insanely successful, and they weren't like as.
Speaker 1 (46:18):
Prominent.
Speaker 2 (46:18):
Well they just didn't do as well before. But I
don't remember. I feels him or Sewn White, but yeah,
shout out Michael Phelps. She may be or he may
be her new crush Tiger Woods eh or maybe.
Speaker 1 (46:28):
His son maybe, But she said that she likes the
Rocks muscles.
Speaker 2 (46:33):
Okay, he is extremely liked out. I wouldn't say so
he probably has done and maybe I hope he's not.
I shouldn't. I hope he's not listening. But he seems
like he has enough power to probably get this podcast pulled, definitely,
But I'm sure at some point him, along with majority
of wrestlers, did some sort of steroid or growth hormone
(46:57):
or just some sort of substance to help him get bigger.
Is see on steroids right now? I'd be surprised. I
don't think.
Speaker 1 (47:03):
I don't think he is. You don't think is in Milwana?
Speaker 2 (47:07):
Yeah, and you're not allowed to be on any Disney set. No,
just because I feel like he's already. And this is
crazy because like, for a while, was like anti The Rock.
I really, I really did not like him, just because
it seemed like he was always in character. And I
feel like if I were to ever like See the Rock,
(47:27):
I feel like he would be the Rock instead of
Dwayne John Dwayne Yeah, And I feel like it just
it's kind of hard to have a conversation with somebody
like that. But hey, I'm just Dwayne, Yeah, just just
the Johns. But yeah, I feel like he's been he like,
he's had his workout regimen for X amount of years,
So it's like, why would he need steroids?
Speaker 1 (47:46):
Yeah, you're right, especially unless he just wants to look
like the biggest, most buff man in hall.
Speaker 2 (47:53):
What maybe his fast in the Furious days when he
was what was he like the sergeant like lead sergeant
and ti he was the he had beef with Vin
Diesel when they were fighting. I'm sure he probably felt
a little intimidated because think about it, Vin Diesel has
been bald his entire life. Dwayne Johnson hasn't. He's like,
(48:14):
he's had hair at some point. So I think when
you're going against someone who's just used to being bald,
I think they kind of have they have nothing to lose, right,
they already have, they've they've already given up on their hair.
So he probably was a little intimidated by that. So
maybe that's when you could say he probably took something.
And obviously Vin Diesel had to adjust. Paul Walker he
(48:34):
was there on the sideline probably given his two cents Tyrese.
That would be interesting if Tyresee was on steroids.
Speaker 1 (48:42):
Okay, is maybe that's why he was crying in those
videos because the emotional that's right ludicrous, Okay, Okay.
Speaker 2 (48:50):
Michelle Rodriguez definitely.
Speaker 1 (48:52):
I could possibly that's yeah, he's a Mendez even Okay,
she's got some fit arms. Giordana Brewster, she's she was
and what the first and.
Speaker 2 (49:04):
The one which one's like the Emao couple. Like in
the very first one, the white dude with he's wearing
a beanie. I feel like, is he I don't know
if he's right.
Speaker 1 (49:12):
He definitely has those.
Speaker 2 (49:14):
Risk yeah weather cuff, there's a skinny white dude and
there's like kind of like.
Speaker 1 (49:18):
The weird white one. I feel like that was the
only movie he was in. And then what happened to him?
He looked like he was actively on like some sort
of substance, very sweaty, and they probably with the muscle
shirt to what.
Speaker 2 (49:36):
They probably been breaking bad.
Speaker 1 (49:38):
They're like, hey, you fit the definitely. And then there's
the other one.
Speaker 2 (49:43):
That's the one I initially thought he seemed like he
had the toxic relationship with his.
Speaker 1 (49:47):
Which was Miriguez, right.
Speaker 2 (49:51):
Maybe right? Yeah? Who is the sister or the brother
of Letty? And who is the stops of Letty?
Speaker 1 (50:10):
Wait? Wait wait wait hold on? Letty and Vin Diesel
were together?
Speaker 2 (50:16):
Okay, so then who's your brother is at? Paul Walker?
No deep pockets real deep?
Speaker 1 (50:23):
Wait wait wait wait wait.
Speaker 2 (50:24):
Guys in the second I'm hold on, oh okay, wait,
like wait, we're talking about.
Speaker 1 (50:38):
No Vin Diesel and Giordana Brewster whatever her name is
in the movie their brother and sister.
Speaker 2 (50:46):
So not that like not.
Speaker 1 (50:49):
And Vin Diesel wait A Diesel are together.
Speaker 2 (50:55):
So and even Manas she's just like the she's part
of the.
Speaker 1 (50:59):
The love interests.
Speaker 2 (51:02):
She's partly not the government, but she's a part of
the law enforcement. Right.
Speaker 1 (51:06):
Yeah, I've got to go into this universe.
Speaker 2 (51:09):
Yes, and Tokyo Drift involver what Little Boo or the
White Dude never come across. I tried watching Tokyo If
it's okay, Basiously.
Speaker 1 (51:17):
It's okay, it's more for just like.
Speaker 2 (51:19):
If you're really into racing. I think it's probably exactly
And if he.
Speaker 1 (51:23):
Needs some there's like entertainment on in the background. It's
worth it. Sorry, I got distracted with looking at Fast
and Furious, So but reel it back to Monday Night.
Raw used to watch that.
Speaker 2 (51:40):
Yes, so you were a big John Cena fan. You're
a big Randy Orton fan.
Speaker 1 (51:44):
You want to know what's so messed up? Is that
Isaac Martinez for my sixteenth or seventeenth birthday dressed up
as imagine he dressed up as Ray Mysterio. Okay, he
bought me for my birthday that Marines John Cena T.
Speaker 2 (52:05):
Shirt The Marine, Oh, just the Marines in general. He's like, Hey,
I know John Cena just starred in this, but this
is the one I thinking, Fine, is this National Garden.
Speaker 1 (52:19):
He bought me a Marine the Marine movie T shirt
with John Cena on it, and then he bought me
the DVD. And I remember he gave it to me
in his room. Right, First of all, how do I
even get there? Number one? No idea? Hold on, we're
(52:40):
missing the other white boy actually, who is in Fast
and Furious. He's like, very much in the Okay, we'll
have to go back to that later. Anyways, he gave
me that shirt and then the the DVD, and I
remember I was like, ew, like, why would he get
this for me? Even though I was such a big fan.
(53:02):
So it makes no sense. But I think I wanted
something more like girly.
Speaker 2 (53:07):
Which makes sense. I don't think I would get my
significant other.
Speaker 1 (53:10):
But I'm just like, if someone were to get that
for me, now, obviously not John Cena, but something like that,
excuse me because they knew I was a big fan
of somebody and they got me like a tea like
the Birch.
Speaker 2 (53:22):
A Timothy Shamaley T shirt, the Navy.
Speaker 1 (53:26):
Seal Hell to the No can we go with oh.
Speaker 2 (53:30):
What's his face? From Djanego?
Speaker 1 (53:34):
Okay, sure, yeah, yeah, sure, and get me what inglorious
Bastards on DVD? I'd be like, oh my god, thank you,
Like wow, this is so thoughtful blah blah blah. But
back then I was just like, ew, you loser, Like.
Speaker 2 (53:47):
How dare you? How dare you? Interest?
Speaker 1 (53:49):
Yes and I and now I'm just like that is
so ungrateful. No wonder why my boyfriend after that never
got me anything. So talk about karma.
Speaker 2 (53:58):
Right, you should message and be like, hey, like, if
you want to get.
Speaker 1 (54:00):
Me my birthday's coming out in five four months.
Speaker 2 (54:05):
I wouldn't mind another preferably that the sequel to The
Marine Teddy Bossi Jr.
Speaker 1 (54:12):
Is that real?
Speaker 2 (54:13):
Yeah, there there's a sequel. There's actually a few of them.
I think the Miz was in I think one or
two of them. Yeah, from the real world.
Speaker 1 (54:21):
Is he still very much is still wrestling the Miz
is still What the hell? That's crazy?
Speaker 2 (54:30):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (54:31):
So The Marine came out in two thousand and six.
Speaker 2 (54:35):
Of course that was a great time to be Alive and.
Speaker 1 (54:38):
It has a seventeen percent on Rotten Tomatoes.
Speaker 2 (54:41):
Which is fucked up because it serves a lot more.
Speaker 1 (54:44):
Are you serious.
Speaker 2 (54:45):
That's a solid movie. It's not a bad movie. There's
a lot se No Evil is probably just an objectively
worse movie than That's what Caine where he plays like
the evil butcher. He's not mean a butcher, but just
an evil person evil.
Speaker 1 (54:59):
Okay, you know Jacobs, you know what is on? What's Oh?
Who is this? That's who that is? Let me see Jacobs.
I don't think i've I'm aware of this movie, but
I've never watched it. Oh maybe I have. It doesn't
(55:20):
matter anyways, Is this where Baine got.
Speaker 2 (55:23):
His definitely not no inspo from? Okay, Baine was already
a character for talking.
Speaker 1 (55:33):
You know what. I have watched this movie before.
Speaker 2 (55:35):
Yeah, it's not really this is a weird one. It's
really just it's not even entertaining. It's just like it's
like a horror movie.
Speaker 1 (55:41):
Yeah, so hold on, I was gonna say something and
I completely forgot. Anyways, I found this really quickly. Let
me see. I found this story that I actually want, oh,
that I wanted to bring up like a long time ago,
but I don't know if I'm going to be able
(56:04):
to find it in time, so we may just have
to save it for next episode. Save it for the
next episode. Oh wait, so it says woman rested after
Oh this came out actually four days ago, arrested after
arsenic lace Christmas Cake kills three family members in Brazil. Wow,
(56:26):
So which three family members are you wanting to poison
with arsenic? And you could pick any three from either
side myself. Okay, you know what to make it easier
on your family members. You can pick a few animals
(56:50):
that may annoy a couple of animals that may annoy you.
Hold on, so I just found out that there are
two there are six marine movies?
Speaker 2 (57:01):
Yeah, so what is that? What's a sequel on? It's
after a sequel, a trequel, a quadical.
Speaker 1 (57:07):
A trilogy, a trilogy there and then.
Speaker 2 (57:10):
What a quad series of.
Speaker 1 (57:11):
The last one came out in twenty eighteen. The last
four sequels have starred professional wrestler This is fucking miss.
Speaker 2 (57:19):
And that's how you know they really like him in
that role because they were like, hey, just have the four,
but what like for last one? How much more marine?
Can you guess? Yes, maybe it shows him just going
through the ranks of being he starts off like at
the bottom, and maybe John Cena comes back in one
of them, on to take a spot back.
Speaker 1 (57:39):
Sean Michaels, he's in one of them. He's in that's
the Marine five or six? Six?
Speaker 2 (57:44):
What's your favorite marine? The Marine four? Pick four or
five or six?
Speaker 1 (57:48):
Marine four or five or six? Okay or three? Uh so? Oh, okay,
this is number five. Sounds cool? The Marine five battle Ground? Okay,
that one sounds pretty cool. So I'll go with that
one battleground. Specifically, I saw yesterday on Roku the TV
(58:10):
that we used in the room, what's that called Four
Brothers is on? And that reminded me of you, because
I feel like you would watch that all the time,
and that's the movie that I.
Speaker 2 (58:22):
Never had any insues, especially when so there's like the
midway point where like the brother, like the younger.
Speaker 1 (58:29):
Brother, which is the other white guy.
Speaker 2 (58:31):
Yes not Mark Warber, Yeah, the other one where he
like gets a snowball thrown at him and he goes
and confronts the person who throws a snowball. Instead of
it being like a like a rowdy like individual, it's
a guy he actually had an issue with, and he
kills him and he dies in snow, and he actually
like does a pretty good job at playing a dying man.
(58:52):
Pretty intense scene. Or when tyrese Neevenmandz they show their
toxic relationship.
Speaker 1 (58:56):
Oh they were together and then they ended up in
two together. Yeah, oh wow. Okay.
Speaker 2 (59:03):
Also, Terrence Howard plays a cricket cop, which no, no, no, no, no, no,
he does. He's in the movie for sure. He doesn't
play the cricket cop. His partner's crookeet and his partner
kills him and blames it on a black guy he
calls him. He's like, yeah, it's a blackmail blown so
obviously the white cop that killed Terrence Howard. Who else
(59:24):
is in it?
Speaker 1 (59:24):
Andre three thousand, Okay, I kind of remember he's one.
Speaker 2 (59:28):
Of the brothers. Yeah. They play ice hockey. Mark wahlbergs
stops the literal white hockey rec basketball games, okay, and
he holds a gun at the players. He's like, is
he trying to find out information on his mom's murder?
Speaker 1 (59:45):
Okay.
Speaker 2 (59:46):
It's a great movie. That's a that's honestly just a
really good movie.
Speaker 1 (59:49):
Okay. Shout out to four brothers and whoever the director
was of making such a cult class maybe.
Speaker 2 (59:55):
I want I don't want to say John Singleton, but
it feels like he would make that movie. Do you
have any final thoughts before we wrap this thing on it?
Speaker 1 (01:00:02):
Shout out to Dennis Quaid the actor for shouting out
Fresno fire for saving his home nice in La.
Speaker 2 (01:00:12):
Wow, that could have been with either of us.
Speaker 1 (01:00:14):
Literally was doing that?
Speaker 2 (01:00:16):
That's pretty question.
Speaker 1 (01:00:17):
Yes, So.
Speaker 2 (01:00:20):
Let's see I got for a quick second, I got
Dennis Quaid confused with Dennis Leary.
Speaker 1 (01:00:26):
Oh no, I forget what Dennis Larry looks like.
Speaker 2 (01:00:29):
But it's the one that's he has a stand up comic.
Speaker 1 (01:00:33):
It okay, okay, shout out but but yeah, shout out
to a Dennis Quaid. So thank you for putting Fresno
out there on a on a national level like that. Yeah,
let's see the best burger spot in Fresno for twenty
twenty four. What do they say in and out Guappos Tacos.
Speaker 2 (01:00:57):
The best burger spot.
Speaker 1 (01:00:59):
Yeah. I swear to God, Guapo's Tacos is any handsome tacos?
I guess. So it's weird because it says the best
burger spot in Fresno. According to customer reviews, this is
on MSN. Also, oh, this is literally like a global phenomenon.
Number one, this is via yelp Guapos Tacos four point
(01:01:23):
five rating out of five based off of fifty two reviews.
Pricing is not too bad. It's on Butler, so I'm
thinking somewhere right there by where Grandma lives, they have pizza, cakes.
Speaker 2 (01:01:35):
And burgers and tacos.
Speaker 1 (01:01:38):
Yeah, okay, number this is so weird. This must be
just for like Mexican people, because coming in at number
two is the Mora ta Carria and it's on McKinley
Salvadoran Food, Mexican food and burgers.
Speaker 2 (01:01:56):
So usually okay, so before you get on too, three, four, five, six,
ten thirty. I don't like to, like what's the word, like,
prejudge your food spots, right, but usually when they're in
a certain area, I assume they're not going to be
the best, And usually when they're served with other food
(01:02:18):
that isn't in the same like region, it's usually not
like the greatest thing, you know what.
Speaker 1 (01:02:26):
I think this is. I think this is more of
like only Fresno owned, like local, so like in and
outs because these are all places that we've never.
Speaker 2 (01:02:40):
Had a fault. There's are there any local oh Burger?
Hold on?
Speaker 1 (01:02:46):
So I spoke too soon. Carlos Junior comes in at
number seventeen.
Speaker 2 (01:02:52):
As so went one two I just skipped.
Speaker 1 (01:02:55):
Foster Freeze comes in at number eighteen. Okay, I I really.
Speaker 2 (01:03:03):
They just have to throw names in there because.
Speaker 1 (01:03:06):
And Rallies comes in as last. So I don't who
the hell compiled this list?
Speaker 2 (01:03:15):
You should they should say the name.
Speaker 1 (01:03:17):
Well, it's Yelp, but I mean who from MSN thought
that this was like a good ideas? Obviously not okay,
So they just give your top for burgers? Yeah, you
know what. I actually I don't mind Denny's for burgers.
(01:03:38):
Denny's has but it's kind of pricey. It is a
little pricey, but i'd say Denny's. I do love in
and out, but I feel like in and out is
always everybody's default. So that's why I don't want to
list that.
Speaker 2 (01:03:51):
I think it's like a gift and a curse. Right
in and out is like so consistent that it almost
like doesn't get I know, yeah, appreciation to say like
yeah exactly, It's like, are you really gonna blame it
it out for being consistent. Like it's like someone your dad.
Speaker 1 (01:04:11):
Yeah you suck, don't be don't be so reliable. Yeah
you're right in and out. You can't go wrong with
uh what protein or not protein but the protein style
or whatever. Okay, hell to the No. No, I just
like basic, either lettuce wrapped or with the bun. I
(01:04:33):
don't want all that other stuff. I would just want
the my what is it, jalapeno stuff on the side,
the wax peppers, the wax peppers and some fries and
I'm good. I don't like the animal style. I don't
like the flying Dutchmen, horsemen whatever. No, and you know what,
(01:04:56):
I'm gonna go with Carls Junior. Now, I haven't had
a Carls hold on the bacon, I'm sorry, the lettuce wrapped,
the one with the hall opinions in the avocado. Yes,
it's the protein style or whatever. Burger. That one's good.
It's again a little pricey. Now, when I worked at
(01:05:17):
the picture people, the Carls Junior is just right there.
Speaker 2 (01:05:21):
That Carl's Junior is probably the best one in Fresle. Really, yeah,
just because you can tell that they're like that specific restaurant,
that specific car Junier keeps up with the quality. I
every think everyone else you don't like it.
Speaker 1 (01:05:31):
Really.
Speaker 2 (01:05:31):
I had went there one time when I had literally
nothing else, like I didn't have nowhere else to go,
and it was like, oh shit, like actually, like you
can tell they put quality into the burger. Maybe maybe
it was a specific burger I got.
Speaker 1 (01:05:42):
Maybe, Okay, I've.
Speaker 2 (01:05:45):
Been to the one right next to the house.
Speaker 1 (01:05:50):
Yeah, we went there.
Speaker 2 (01:05:52):
Literally last Saturday. It was good.
Speaker 1 (01:05:54):
Actually, who you and your dad?
Speaker 2 (01:05:55):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (01:05:55):
What'd you guys get?
Speaker 2 (01:05:56):
He got? So you know how they have I think
I so on the when you first drive up, it
says you can get a single big caral like just
with the one Patty, and you can get another one
for a dollar. But when hand ordered it, they had
ring it up as a normal like big caral like
the normal one and then another one. I think, so
(01:06:19):
it's like it didn't come out.
Speaker 1 (01:06:20):
Yeah it wasn't really a dollar.
Speaker 2 (01:06:22):
I don't think it was. But still he like he
said he liked him. It's just for some reason, like
I don't know those burgers like then, like we got
hungry like a couple hours later.
Speaker 1 (01:06:30):
You know why it's because it's all processed, so the
nutrition is stripped away.
Speaker 2 (01:06:36):
That's why and and see that's why I specifically stick
with In and Out. The habit has a burger.
Speaker 1 (01:06:42):
Oh yeah, okay, I'll say the habit. That's right. It's
been a couple of years since I've been there. But
the habit also very good. This everything there's from good.
The ice cream quality is good and it's cheap. Yeah,
the fries are good, the salads are good. Everything from
the habit is good. Colorado burger Okay, I haven't yeah solid,
(01:07:06):
I'm trying.
Speaker 2 (01:07:06):
To think of, oh, doghouse. Doghouse has good burgers. That
that's the burger I was thinking. I haven't been a
doghouse was literally like five or six years. I think
the last one I had it was when they catered
it at work.
Speaker 1 (01:07:17):
But they catered it at work, be.
Speaker 2 (01:07:19):
Shuldn't say catered, but our our boss.
Speaker 1 (01:07:21):
Was like, he don't want and we just got nice.
Speaker 2 (01:07:25):
But yeah, that their burgers are actually good.
Speaker 1 (01:07:27):
Okay, good to know because I haven't been there since
Olivia was a baby, and I've never even thought to
order their burgers me neither.
Speaker 2 (01:07:34):
It's just usually trice it. But yeah, shout out. Okay,
maybe shout out.
Speaker 1 (01:07:37):
I know, top ten burger list, definitely. I want to
see what this guapo's tacos is all about.
Speaker 2 (01:07:46):
Okay, see you guys, where's for sure you stay safe?
Enjoy the early? Where's snare?
Speaker 1 (01:08:00):
Yeah? I don't even know? I mean, can you stay safe?
Speaker 2 (01:08:05):
Headphones? Where's my snare?
Speaker 1 (01:08:09):
These poor people?
Speaker 2 (01:08:12):
Thank you? Guys. I have no snare in my headphones?
Where's my snare?
Speaker 1 (01:08:19):
Tell you?
Speaker 2 (01:08:23):
I have no snare in my headphones. Where's my snare?
I have no snare in my headphones? Where's my snare?
I have no snare in my headphones? Where's my snare
