Speaker 1 (00:01):
Oh, and welcome to the wed Costo right after show.
I'm James Junior, of course. And does I get a
chance to interview you body during the season, Which is
fine because now I'm interviewing them postseason and we can
talk about the whole thing. They can spill secrets and
all kinds of beause you saw it already books. I said, Okay,
this person. You guys praise her performance in the in
the episode with Elizabeth, you praise her performance. But she
(00:24):
had to take Angela to be her character and take
Angela to the blind school. It's you know. I said,
let's get her on here first and I get to
interview her for the first time by herself. It's gonna
be fun. Natasha Bernet, yes, miss Minnie Canfield, folks and
you guys who know her on the show. First of all,
(00:46):
how are you?
Speaker 2 (00:47):
I am doing very very well, thank you. Yes, things
are good.
Speaker 1 (00:52):
So now, so I was, I was, we were talking
before the show stuff. Are you working on anything right
you can talk about? Are you taking some time off?
Like what's going on offer you right now?
Speaker 3 (01:01):
I am, and my mom was just taking some time off.
Not long did I get back from the UK. I
was there for three months, which is very nice. I
don't often get to spend that much time there, so
I had some really nice family time.
Speaker 2 (01:13):
And God to spend my birthday there. My my nephew's
my nephew is he's eight.
Speaker 3 (01:20):
He loves organizing and I said, okay, you come up
with my birthday party. So he's like, okay, We're going
to have a dance party and then I'm going to
teach you all how to do paper.
Speaker 2 (01:30):
Planes and then we're going to have a paper plane race.
Speaker 1 (01:33):
Oh it was. It was like, that is so cute
and I'll thank you. Nephew had to follow that. That
sounds fun to me. Do that's you all do that?
So when you're in the UK, I mean, that's your home.
That's why that's your home. So I mean, is it
(01:54):
hard to leave when you go?
Speaker 3 (01:56):
It is, it's always hard to leave, and especially because
this time we're still months the time I spend just
getting into I think my own routine.
Speaker 2 (02:03):
And I loved sort.
Speaker 3 (02:04):
Of being so close to London, and I mean there
are places near us, like Wimbledon. We're really close to Wimbledon,
so I love that and just being able to go
around and just enjoy the time. I was going to
all sorts of restaurants and it was just really nice
to do things that I am not able to usually
(02:26):
do here.
Speaker 1 (02:27):
Yeah, that's what I understand that you have to go
for a while. I was a chance to relax. Yes,
I love it. And of course now I mean as
you find out why you know. I think season twelve
was just finished, congratulations and season thirteen years thirteen? All wait, sorry,
how many seasons have you been on now?
Speaker 2 (02:47):
Oh gosh, would this be season six? For us? I
think this season six?
Speaker 1 (02:52):
Six seasons so much. I thought that's six.
Speaker 3 (02:54):
Yeah, six seasons that went really fast, exactly right, it
just went. I cannot believe six years has gone by.
This is insane.
Speaker 1 (03:07):
I've known you six years time when you got interview
you guys in the very beginning you envived.
Speaker 3 (03:11):
Yes, I remember the first interview, but everybody was just like, oh,
the cap Fins are coming on the show now, I.
Speaker 1 (03:17):
That remember that that was six years. That was six
years ago, and the world's changed a lot in six years, yes, intelligence,
But one thing it has changed is that when Costo
Heart is doing bigger and better than ever, it's just
like hits show that just continues to grow and stuff.
And there's one thing about that. There's one thing you did,
(03:38):
one thing that they never you've never done the show before.
And I said, I'm going to start the conversation off
with this because it was hilarious. We heard your normal voice,
we did, but as you were protecting, so you were
pretty So you're you have them, You're on the show
(03:58):
Universe American, you're taking British but yeah, you're a British
in real life.
Speaker 2 (04:03):
Yes, yes, what did you think? I was actually really
excited about it.
Speaker 3 (04:10):
I although I had already had my suspicions anyway that
they were going to try and figure out how to
put it in because Lindsay Lindsay Sterman, she she loved
my British accent, and she was just like, it would
be so nice if you could put it in there somewhere,
and they found a really great way to incorporate it.
It's a really nice, complete story. So it could also
(04:31):
be a bit fun, you know. She don't always want
it to have a serious undertone.
Speaker 2 (04:35):
It's just like I'm gonna bring something like that, and
you gotta make it kind of fun and light.
Speaker 1 (04:39):
Yeah, but what they said the story was, so you're
protecting So how did it? Because you played it convincingly,
So how did you prepare that? Because it was just
that you were speaking in a British accent and going
to pretend like you're an Americans beginning.
Speaker 3 (04:55):
Yeah, you know, it was just trying to work out
how would many say these things in our version of America?
And now we're still talking about the timeframe of the
nineteen twenties, so how would this all play out? So
you were just kind of but then Vov actually made
the comment. Then maybe I don't need to think so
hard about it because even if it doesn't sound accurate,
(05:15):
that's fine because I'm not supposed to be British. But
then again, how could a British person not make their
British sound accurate?
Speaker 1 (05:21):
Just say that at home?
Speaker 3 (05:27):
So yeah, it was, But it was of course when
Viv was doing his British as well in the scene
in the you know, it's it's it's how we do
all the time when we were doing Lost Locket.
Speaker 2 (05:41):
It was something he just he got alm for himself.
Speaker 1 (05:48):
He must have the British action a lot of time
on you offset that kind of camera. Oh yeah, yeah,
there is Oh my god, when I was good do
you think I just start when it happened like a minute,
we know off care you are, like I say, oh,
they used I thought it was very exciting. I thought
it was very exciting and the way they had, like
you said, you did a great job expressing it that way.
(06:10):
But I was want to say, so, Mini's from the Midwest, right,
she's from Differs or sorry, from Missouri or something.
Speaker 2 (06:15):
Yes, yes, that's all.
Speaker 1 (06:17):
Of accent there too. Yeah, okay, so Mini speaking Midwest
accent but living in out in the rural area out there.
Speaker 2 (06:29):
Yeah, there we go perfectly straightforward story there.
Speaker 1 (06:34):
That was fun. It was a lot of fun and
good for you get to do that. Lindsay's funny. I've
interviewed her is she's great. So I gets to you.
You know, you can't make many British hall of a sudden,
I was British and we can't do that.
Speaker 3 (06:45):
Yeah, no, right, so yeah, because there was a lot
of conversation. There was a lot of conversation, how can
we make this fun but realistic and in someway incorporate
it into a larger storyline that then just makes sense
for everyone.
Speaker 1 (07:00):
Well many you know, the storyline that like that you
because when we were talking off camera too, and I
talked to Brian about the their day, the city is growing,
the town is growing, the you know, now we have
radio and dancing and all this stuff in there. But
also it's a large cast and so we don't have
to kind of rotate story and scenes. And but there
(07:20):
are a couple of standouts for you that people kept
bringing up and this and some of us who've gone
through it. I told him on the show. You know,
I had I took a daughter to college to Saint
josh Ray, New York and her mother and I did
it and I was so I was the blubbering idiot.
She was like, I mean, I know what, I know.
We both were like sad. We both are field. But
(07:42):
I'm like, oh my god, they're like, okay, calm down.
Oh like so much. But you had you have to
portray that. So it was like many like wait to
make as many and so you know, she's she's a
mom and side of her, well people irritated with your
daughter or she didn't have her startlands then yeah.
Speaker 2 (08:04):
Just anything anything to stuffer from moving.
Speaker 1 (08:06):
Basically, I know that was a lot of fun, but
is that crazy? It's like, that's you know that answer.
The character of answer is of that age. And so
you saw on the script they were going to do this.
So they're leading towards and going to a blind school. Stuff.
How do you feel about that?
Speaker 2 (08:23):
I was really happy that we finally got to tell
that story.
Speaker 3 (08:26):
I think it was really important also just for the
progression of the Camfields as a whole, you know, because
it was It's obviously fine for them as.
Speaker 2 (08:34):
A family to be in town and do what they
do in town, but I think it was actually.
Speaker 3 (08:38):
Very important for I mean, Elias was going to the
school anyway, but it was important that I think we
could show a good progression for Angela moving forward, and
of course tell the story with all the layers and
the difficulties that go with that and all the things
that were came to the service again for Mini in
(09:02):
terms of how she felt as she did back in
season eight, so I think being able to explore that
in a slightly different way where she's a bit older,
Mini is having to deal with it in a slightly
different way to how she did before. So even though
we're tracking back to something similar to what we've really
had it's actually nice to revisit it in a different way.
Speaker 1 (09:25):
Also, I just want to say this because I always
wanted on my shows. It was just so wonderful you two.
You both were the conduit for the story because it's
not told that off front television, not really, and your
two brown women. Yes, yeah, I just love that because
in one sense it didn't matter because it's a universal story.
Speaker 2 (09:48):
Yes.
Speaker 1 (09:49):
I just love seeing that too, Roman portraying this to
the world at that time period. So I just want
to say life really enjoyed that this is about their
daughter because we have that you guys have shown over
the year. Here's this mother doll relationship.
Speaker 3 (10:02):
Yes, yeah, And I like that being able to play
in that way meant that we could explore our relationships
slightly differently. She's getting older, are we going to be
sort of am I going to be her parents' slash
friend as opposed to just her mother? So that was
something that we also had to explore. And I think
that's how it flip flopped at.
Speaker 2 (10:23):
The beginning of the scene where I'm freaking out without
her stuff.
Speaker 3 (10:26):
And then at the end when she's now wondering whether
she can even go at all, and Minnie now has to.
Speaker 2 (10:33):
Boost her confidence for doing that. So I just loved
I just loved playing with that. I loved playing with
that throughout the episode.
Speaker 3 (10:42):
So I was to see that in the script and go,
we've got something here that's not just linear.
Speaker 2 (10:49):
You know, she wants to go.
Speaker 3 (10:50):
I don't want her to go end a story. No,
Now it's sort of no, I don't want her to go. Wait,
but now she doesn't want to go, And that was
just really nice to play.
Speaker 1 (11:00):
You said something in the so about you know, you
did raise her to be both the kids to be
your strong, intelligent and independent people. But yet the mom
comes in, Yeah, that's my baby. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (11:15):
I think it's so easy to forget.
Speaker 3 (11:17):
I mean, you know, you know, you spend so much
time ensuring that they raised a certain way, that they
have their wits about them, that they're street wise and
all of this and worldly. Yet somehow, when it comes
down to it, at the crux of it all, they're
just your baby all the time.
Speaker 1 (11:33):
They are. I mean, I have grandchildren. I'm like, I
still talk, there's still my daughters. I still they still
are you know, my baby. I can't help it, and
I'm glad that that's a universal message, Like anybody who's
a parent has gone through some form of that, right, because,
like you said, we've seen like a season eight, they're
just they're these mile markers with angela of you having
(11:54):
to let go, a bit of many having to let
go it's not you, but really let go of it
it and be whatever that's going to be right right right?
Speaker 3 (12:08):
Yeah, it was Again, I think it was a very
good transition. I mean it's five seasons in and again,
you know, reminding yourself that we were actually that far
into the season, into the whole series, and then going okay, well, actually,
really around that point you should probably be trying to
find a slightly different dynamic, a slightly different direction for
(12:28):
the family, because I think we've established their unified family
and they work within the community and they love to
bring hope and support to other members of the community.
Speaker 2 (12:38):
And then now it's sort of okay, where are we
going to go from there?
Speaker 1 (12:42):
Yes, and you are so tall and I think, I
mean we watched some literally rock.
Speaker 2 (12:49):
So tall it is not I don't know where we're
going to get to this year. I feel like it's
not even going to be a joke. I feel like
apple boxes may be required.
Speaker 1 (12:58):
Ye, you're en a bit of all of them. They're
just like all these around you. Love. I love how
you get to grow so fast. I love that. What
has it been like, soun if I've been I watched
some of the other interviews that you've done. Don'tink everybody
say I asked you this. I'm not sure, but I'm
just curious. As an actor, what has it been like
for you to watch Viv watch his kids act?
Speaker 2 (13:22):
Oh, you know, we've had some interesting conversations.
Speaker 3 (13:25):
I've been great conversations that we've had sort of moments
where the realization is hit, you know, as they develop
as actors throughout the years. And some because obviously as
they're now older on the show, we're not around them
as much.
Speaker 2 (13:42):
So sometimes Viv will specifically have to stick.
Speaker 3 (13:45):
Around or if our scenes are finished and he's obviously
got to take them home as well, so then he
will stick around and see what's kind of happening.
Speaker 2 (13:56):
So I think that's been that's been.
Speaker 3 (14:00):
Some growth for him to just really try and see
from especially Elias when he first started, and I know
even for Vienna it was her first acting role on
screen as well, So I think it really was like
a heart tug for him to now watch them develop.
Speaker 2 (14:18):
But he's so proud of them. He's so proud of
them and the.
Speaker 3 (14:22):
Auditions they're doing now for things and other shows and
bigger shows, and he always says, you know, I feel
like they're going to surpass me.
Speaker 2 (14:30):
You know, they've learned so many things so.
Speaker 3 (14:32):
Quickly, which I feel so many of the youth of
today do comparatively. So he's so proud of them and
their achievements and accomplishments. And I know Vienna now she's graduated,
and I was spoken to her about where she wants
to go with it, and gosh, she's got her head
so well screwed on.
Speaker 2 (14:52):
You know, she really wants to fly, and I think
she will.
Speaker 1 (14:56):
Yeah, yeah, I mean it could be a better hand
this show, the production, everybody behind the scenes and all
you actors. I mean, like I know all of you guys,
and it's just if they're they were in good hands.
They're in good hands. Yes, yeah, you're compared to some
set you've been understanding.
Speaker 3 (15:12):
Oh yes, yeah, this is this is the kind of
set where you know, Viv has no problem if he
goes back to the trailer I mean, obviously, in the
beginning he wanted to make sure he was there if
they needed him. But then, you know, fairly quickly he
realized he doesn't need to oversee anything because everybody on
set is so welcoming and calming and it just is
(15:36):
fun for them as well, so they're not even that bothered,
you know. So he'll go back to his trailer and
relaxed if he's got a few scenes off, and yeah,
you know, they'll meet up again at.
Speaker 2 (15:47):
The end of the day and it's so to go.
Speaker 1 (15:48):
You know, what's great to you is now you and Viv.
Of course, Joseph at Minnie. One of the things I
did enjoy so far is how he kind of stays.
They had his chartchers stand down, kind of stand back
while you're handling Angela, and I really enjoyed that. And
so I was and I thought was kind of good
(16:09):
that he said he let you. It's like, I'm gonna
let Mini handle this, so to speak, like he was
there like you guys are always there for each other,
like for little things. It was very much like you're
saying a few words. But then he was just kind
of like, did you notice that I noticed that it
was kind of like Mini's kind of yes.
Speaker 3 (16:24):
I think he realized that, you know, at this stage,
she's having a hard time. I think the best way
to deal with this is to not say too much,
not give too many opinions. Of course, once he had
sent off for the brochure.
Speaker 2 (16:38):
That obviously was a little issue. Yes, so he thought, okay,
let's not make this any worse. We'll leave it with
the brochure. She can look at it in her own time,
and then then we'll see. Then we'll see how much
more I can say.
Speaker 1 (16:52):
That's like as many looked at it when you played me,
you looked at it. You're like, yeah, you get that
look at times. But for myself, I've seen that look.
Was like you did what.
Speaker 2 (17:04):
Funny because I didn't even know. I did not even
know that that until I saw it. I was like, oh, okay,
you gave that look.
Speaker 1 (17:13):
You know, you know that look you gave it. Okay,
Well that just means how it mean, just mean how
comfortable you and V are obviously as an acting duo.
So I guess that's probably what I Yeah, yeah, yeah,
but you get that look. And I was like, okay,
I'll read this, and he wisely you know whatever. I
just thought it was very cool that they had you.
Because this leads to everybody's talking about two different scenes. Okay,
(17:36):
know which ones they are, so we'll talk with the
first one with the quilt, with the whole surprise, and
we know Brian told one of my people, I know
the Millers, they made them the real life, made the quilt,
this whole thing. But it was so interesting because we
never we never see many lose it. We don't, like
we've seen her upset a couple of times. You've seen
(17:57):
her a little bothered, you know, like that, Yeah, you've
been a little bothered over the years, a little bothered things,
I mean, but you never, but it's this time. I
mean because there's like there was like there's like two
or three beats and I'm getting to the weeds and things, folks.
There was like two or three beats and then started
to really like hit you and the women surrounded you
(18:18):
and you started to ball. I started I started stopping.
So you started to do that cause I know you're
gonna cry. I thought you were like, you're like, well
that you as Minnie was like, yes you was.
Speaker 2 (18:28):
Expected her to hold it together. Yes, yes, absolutely so.
Speaker 1 (18:32):
How do you get ready for that? How do you
get ready for that scene? Because I'm like, give the
whole set kind of the women were there and Hickum
and the women, and how do you prepare for that?
For scenes like that? How do you prepare for that
as an actor? Do you know? I?
Speaker 3 (18:44):
Obviously everyone has a different way of how they prepare
emotionally for things like that, but I've always been one
of those people. I do better if I just wait
to feel it in the moment. Obviously, when I read
it beforehand, I know the gravitas of a scene like that.
As long as I have some understanding of what I
think this scene is and what it would mean to her.
Speaker 2 (19:06):
I try not to overdo it, Okay, but that's how
that works for me.
Speaker 3 (19:11):
So when I was able to get on Stay, I
was like, I know where I need to go. But
I also don't put pressure on myself as an actor.
You know, if I didn't, if I didn't get to
the place where I was going to break down, I
was just thinking, Okay, well, then you know, maybe that's
not the way MINI should play this. You know, I
don't put pressure to force myself to get to that place,
(19:33):
so it was very real when it happened, which is
why it did look like a release, because I just
allowed myself.
Speaker 2 (19:41):
To just go all the way.
Speaker 3 (19:44):
Because for most of what I was saying, I realized
I was actually holding it back and I wanted to
go this so I was.
Speaker 2 (19:53):
Then when it got towards the end, I just realized, Okay,
I just want to let it go that way.
Speaker 1 (20:00):
Well, you're gonna feel that, you're saying rights exactly. I said.
It was a couple of like there's a couple of beats,
and then it was like it seemed like it really
flooded you and it just flood flood and stuff came
out and I was like, oh my goodness, I lied. No,
I like that. It's just like why I soone expected
and she's really so mean. So you're saying, basically, you're
(20:21):
you're present when you're on set on stage and its
your turn. You're like, okay, if I don't ball, maybe
is the responsibility when you're still feel still show your emotion.
Maybe she doesn't, maybe she doesn't start crying, maybe she's okay,
or maybe she cries later, or you're like what you're saying, yeah,
I mean.
Speaker 3 (20:40):
A good example is actually in episode nine when I
was talking to Angela and when we're having our Heart's
Heart at the end of the episode, Oh yeah, when
I first read it, and you know, I just read
it out loud, and it did make me teary because
I was thinking as many what she's saying. However, when
I did the actual scene, I didn't want to cry.
(21:02):
I wanted to encourage her. So it just was completely different.
That's why I don't prepare, because I always feel in
the moment in the scene. Sometimes they just change up
the flow of the scene for whatever reason. It could
just be circumstantial, it could be props, it could be anything,
(21:22):
and so I try to make it just I just
try to feel it in the moment.
Speaker 1 (21:26):
That make sense. You didn't cry, yeah, because you Yeah,
because all of a sudden, Manie got strong, like you said, like, oh,
now she's doubting herself. I don't heart doubt herself like
any products won't her kid doubting himself? Like no, you
had to be the strong one, and for her I
was gy like that. Well the other scene, of course,
which we were just like, oh, it's gonna be many
(21:48):
talking to her list like you said, the main number
one of the call sheets, this is a major cliffhanger
ass thing about to happen for the show, And they
had you bring in the food as when he always
die food. But then they had you, guys relate mother
to mother of special needs child. How was that?
Speaker 2 (22:12):
So?
Speaker 1 (22:12):
How was that scene where you saw that? How was
that scene for you?
Speaker 2 (22:15):
That was?
Speaker 3 (22:16):
I mean, it was the one of the most beautiful
scenes I've been able to play in. I always say
this because I very rarely get to spend time with
Aaron as as Minni and Elizabeth, but they always do
tend to have some really close heart to hearts, right
like in season eight, and this heart to heart was
probably the most important one that they've had thus far.
(22:39):
I think it was very cathartic for Minnie to share
something that I'm more than certain she's never said to
anyone before, and then to know that that helps bring
some strength to Elizabeth.
Speaker 2 (22:56):
I mean, it's it's in such an important part of
the episode. And then when she goes to leave now
with Jack, and you know, just knowing that Minnie was
the one to just try and just give her that
last bit of.
Speaker 3 (23:14):
How to get where she needs to go. I just
loved that we were able to play into that because
it was Elizabeth last time, just trying to get Minnie's
head around. Look, I know you're in a new town,
but you know you can bring her to the school
and we are going to look after her. And so
now the roles of reversus she's trying to get Elizabeth's
(23:34):
head around a situation that she's in. So I I
was so glad when I when I read it, and
it was obviously a very poignant scene.
Speaker 1 (23:45):
Yeah, it was. It felt like they had the character
Elizabeth reaching out to you, like literally reaching out to
Minnie going okay, I'll have to do this, you know,
I just I don't know if I don't know, if
I as said I can't if I can do this.
And so so now Minnie has to go, okay, I
know how she feels. Obviously, because we obviously was off camera,
(24:06):
we don't you know when we first start, probably when
everything started, well you know, we're assuming you know how
she feels. And now again time for you to give
her strength. Yes, that was such a powerful I just
love that that turn. It was like she was reaching
her souls out. So you going, come on, I don't
like it. You know what's going on, and this is
kind of this chronic thing that little Jack's gonna have.
(24:28):
And you're like, I know, I have, I have Angela.
It's a chronic thing that she's had. You had that
in common. It was really interesting.
Speaker 3 (24:35):
Yes, yeah, that was and even sort of again because
I like to do things in the moment, it was
knowing or feeling when the right time was.
Speaker 2 (24:45):
To reach out to her physically.
Speaker 3 (24:48):
Oh yes, yes, because again that was something else that
I mean, she was shedding a lot in that moment
to Minnie, and I think Mini needed to know the
right time to like hold her, to be like, Okay,
I want to give you some strength.
Speaker 1 (25:09):
It was.
Speaker 2 (25:10):
It was such a lovely scene to do.
Speaker 1 (25:12):
Loved it. I'm just telling you. The fans were praising
that scene.
Speaker 3 (25:17):
I did get a lot of tweets about it, and
I'm so grateful, so grateful, so thank you, thank you
so much, hearties, because you guys said some of some
beautiful sent me some beautiful messages about that, and.
Speaker 1 (25:32):
You know, and that's you know, as an actor, you know,
you want to be able to affect change on some
level on something that your work project you're proud of
obviously you're product Walk Calls the Heart, and you want
to be able to, like you said, have a scene
like that, have a scene like a couple episodes ago,
have a scene like a year like you want those
in there, and with the fans like yeah, just for living,
(25:53):
You're like, that's not an actor. You want to you know, entertained,
but you also want to affect some kind of change
where somebody wants Yeah.
Speaker 2 (26:00):
And the thing is, it's not always possible in an
ensemble cast every episode that you personally are in, because
there are other stories that need to be told.
Speaker 3 (26:12):
Are the people that need to send a message again
to the hearties that's different to yours. It just so
happened that in episode twelve, it was Many having to
let go of her daughter and sending.
Speaker 2 (26:26):
Some strength to Elizabeth as well. So it was just
double for her in that episode. So you know, it's
everybody's turn at some point, and it just happened to
be mine in twelve, which was really really great.
Speaker 1 (26:40):
I was wonderful. Now as six seasons in, I used
to close, I used to all the clothes and all
the because I imagine, you know, is you literally you're
in costume. So it speak. I mean, this is not
the modern time, like you're not right air? Also, are
(27:01):
you used to that? By now?
Speaker 2 (27:05):
I mean you know what I am?
Speaker 3 (27:07):
I mean every every year they do kind of bring
in something else because you know, Minnie's fashion has ever
so slightly evolved and she's become a little more adventurous
with some of her blouses and some of her combinations,
but she's still many, She's so many. And actually Barba
does an amazing job of every year just knowing when
(27:29):
we do the wardrobe fitting, what else can we add
to Minnie's wardrobe that might be just a little bit
different and bring her a little.
Speaker 2 (27:35):
More up to day.
Speaker 1 (27:37):
Yeah, because she's the preacher's wife, we so to speak,
you know, the preacher's wife to outrageous obviously exactly head
of you know. So I'm sure, but no, I've know
it's a little changes here and there to ask what
the hair stuff? So how do you work with are
you wearing wigs? Are you doing like what's going on
with the hair? Yes?
Speaker 2 (27:53):
So in season eight I actually wore my hair. Yes,
so for I think half.
Speaker 3 (28:03):
If maybe three quarters of the season I wore my hair.
And then I realized this.
Speaker 2 (28:08):
Is so much work that I thought, you know what,
I think we.
Speaker 3 (28:12):
Should stick with a wig, and actly, I feel like
it was the best decision to make anyway, because especially
when we're doing different events and things like that, it's
so much easier for them to just be able to
adjust the wig beforehand and recurl it or whatever. And
(28:32):
especially for the twenties like the finger waves and things
like that, you know, it takes time.
Speaker 2 (28:37):
So you know, it's nice that it.
Speaker 3 (28:39):
Can be done beforehand, because I mean, we do long
days anyway, and if you know, if I'm being fair,
I mean, if they I don't want them to have
to come in for an extra.
Speaker 2 (28:49):
Hour just because they have to prepare my hair, you know.
But you know, overall, I love the wig that I've
got now. It's perfect. It's perfect.
Speaker 1 (29:01):
Yes, a couple of things. I think I'll ask you
these things either for it I'll get a chance to
ask you. So do you have your own trailer? Do
you share a trailer?
Speaker 2 (29:11):
I have my trailer, and so in your.
Speaker 1 (29:15):
Trailer do you have how do you ma get comfortable
for you? Because I know, you know, people understand we
do it to your show, so there's a lot of
hurry up and wait, there's a lot of you know,
you feel all of a suddenly you wait for them
come out, all that kind of stuff. So, how's your
trailer comfortable for you?
Speaker 2 (29:29):
Oh gosh.
Speaker 3 (29:30):
I usually have like some sort of room missed that
I like to to spray in there. Sometimes I'll bring
a candle if I feel I specifically actually have a
candle on my shelf.
Speaker 2 (29:44):
That I use for when I go to set because
I just like the smell of it. But I never
use it at home. Yeah, I although I don't.
Speaker 3 (29:53):
I don't really bring anything crazy to set. It's pretty simple.
I'm happy for because I end up spending a lot
of time on set itself as opposed to in my trailer.
Speaker 2 (30:05):
So especially in the summer months and things like that.
Speaker 3 (30:08):
Maybe in the winter months you tend to want to
get back to your trailer and stay warm, But in
the summer months especially, I tend to just stay up,
stay up on set in the green room and just
chat everyone everybody.
Speaker 1 (30:20):
I was curious, I like, because I just know we
work on a TV show. It could be it takes
a long time be on setay comfortable. But you like
your trailer, trailer's good, you go in there you relax,
we need to.
Speaker 2 (30:31):
Oh yeah, yeah, I mean I'm not a sleeper.
Speaker 3 (30:34):
Although once I was really tired and I did have
a long time, so I did lie down, But I'm
generally not a sleeper on set for some reason.
Speaker 1 (30:44):
Are you a craft service person? Do you like running
craft services? Do you like? Are you a snacker? Are
you not? You're pretty not much not.
Speaker 3 (30:52):
I think I end up being a snacker because I've
got nothing else to do. Sometimes boredom, border meeting.
Speaker 2 (30:59):
Yeah, I try not to. I try not to be
you know, it happens. It happens.
Speaker 3 (31:06):
And also because I can't have gluten, which is very
sad for me. Sad for me, but maybe all so
good for me because I don't eat as much.
Speaker 1 (31:21):
I'll ask you, what is your kind of go to
snack thing?
Speaker 2 (31:23):
Man?
Speaker 1 (31:23):
If you can't have something, My.
Speaker 3 (31:26):
Go to is usually crisps. Chris got to be a
packet of crisps. Yeah, yeah, it's simple.
Speaker 1 (31:37):
Called. Do you drink coffee? Tea? Are you a tea drinker?
Speaker 2 (31:41):
Definitely a tea drinker. I love a good tea, a
lemon and ginger, good lemon and ginger.
Speaker 3 (31:47):
When I'm on set, if I'm at home, I'll do
an Old Gray.
Speaker 2 (31:50):
If I'm at home, because I can't.
Speaker 1 (31:52):
I mean, of course I have.
Speaker 2 (31:53):
Old Gray on set, but it's a little different. I
don't hurt, but when I want to set, you know,
Lemon and Ginger.
Speaker 1 (32:00):
I love it. I think that's just so funny. Well,
thanks so for being on the shelves always. It's always
a pleasure talking to you.
Speaker 2 (32:06):
Oh, it's so good to see because it's been it's
been a while.
Speaker 1 (32:11):
