(00:01):
Hell. Welcome to the Wen CauseHeart after show here on JLJ Media.
This is a quick I decided todo a quick season eleven, episode twelve
reaction as some of you may ormay not know or now you're finding out
now later on today tonight, I'llbe sitting down with the executive producer of
Papahrty, Brian Bird, talking aboutthe whole season as in general. So

(00:25):
I thought I should do a reactionvideo just to this. But for those
who are wondering, it's live twonights, six pm Pacific time. N
I'm Kim Eastern on my channel YouTubedot com slash Jljmedia. Join us for
a live conversation. It will beavailable afterwards obviously on audio and video like

(00:46):
these shows are, but we canjoin us live, you can hear it
live. And Brian does this everyyear, so I'm very very apple.
We take some coffee really quick. It's hotter than Haiti's over here in Los
Angeles. I just want to shoutto all of you across the country.
We're dealing with extreme weather, especiallyheat. Please be careful out there,

(01:11):
make sure you're hydrated, make sureyour pets. If the if the ground's
too hot, will have them onthe ground, all kind of stuff going
on because we have we're having hottemperatures here and I live in the water
as hot and I got ten fansof because I don't have air conditioning.
So some of you guys you don'tcondition either, Lingal loaded the ground,
finding cool ghost room in the house. I'm good to the theater or whatever.

(01:33):
Do stuff that's cooler. Just becareful out there, heartys. It's
it's in summertime, so we evercareful out there. Okay, so this
is a short. We're gonna talkabout it in depth with Brian later tonight.
I just want to say that Ienjoyed the season finale for season eleven,
and he was saying seasonally, Ijust can't keep meaning that, saying

(01:53):
that it was good, nice romanticepisode, very cool, with a couple
of little surprises in there. Nothingmajor went on, and that was fine.
I don't think all season finales haveto have these huge, sweeping,
you know, dramatic moments. Itwas a nice ending to the season for

(02:15):
me. It was just so wonderfulto have miss Fiona back. Miss Kaylen,
I you know, I'm sorry saidher earlier season. I miss her
and having your back just for theepisode, which made complete sense. She
was the best woman, which whenwe laughed, like he's twenties, I

(02:38):
was my friend Michelle's best I washer man of honor, recalled it.
I was her man of honor.I stood up next to her, So
I actually have that experience. Itwas diverse and her wedding to her husband,
so I have the reverse, soI know what that feels like.
But it totally made sense. Infact, she's don't the Suffragettes makes sense.
All that makes sense. And I'lltell you something. There's a new

(02:59):
music allow called Stuffs of the StuffGentlement, if you're curious. So I'm
broadly right now. But the cashrecordings out there, and I'm sure toward
the country. I saw him theTony's and the music was really good.
And my my brother knows one ofthe actress in it's excesses in it.
So but it's called Suffs that's outthere and just a little note signed on
that. But what Fiona, ofcourse, is involved, it totally makes

(03:20):
sense. It's shooting a character. She had asked I'm gonna go with her,
and Faith was like, and Ithought, wait a minute, it's
Faith leaving like her, her andthe lea gonna move to Tennessee. And
turns out obviously not that I can'tdo that, but because she found her
purpose, she found basically her daughter, so to speak. She got your

(03:44):
other child's taking care of now.I just I love I love that.
But having Kayla back, it wasjust it was such a wonder as as
Fiona was a wonderful as I missher, I tell I miss her.
She said a forward think you modernwoman for that time period that I just
I enjoy so much. She gavea great counterpoint to some of the other

(04:05):
women. We're in a town forof strong women's. It's it's it's it's
all good, right, you know, there's that There was that little moment,
they little moments they sprinkled in whichwere natural with the girls about teaching
schools and Angela bringing up the schoolfor the blind, teaching the other other

(04:27):
impair kids. And I thought itwas so interesting that that Minnie's reaction was
true to mean some mother's reaction. She's not worry for a baby to go
somewhere else. It's weird some aboutgoing away. I know, you know,
it's so funny. It's one ofthose natural I mean I've been through
it. Clear, I have twodaughters that they're grown. I've been through
it. It's and now we getthe granddaughter and like she hasn't left home
yet, but she's growing and goingto college. I say, it's this

(04:50):
weird thing, Like we know,it's part of it. You work towards
you were, if you're if you'rea good parent, you work towards it's
your kids be independent at some point, and you're always try to prepare them,
you know, drill them with stuff, try to stay good, you
know, good education, the wholething. But when it gets when he

(05:12):
gets to seventeen sixteen, seventeen eighteen, it's a little weird. You got
you kind of go, wait aminute, you're going nowhere? Where you're
going? It's been really funny.And that's just that's just that's the dichotomy
of being a parent. Right mygirls as well, always my girls,
always my girls. I don't carethey're in their thirties and they're still by
girls. I mean that's kind ofworks. And I don't really fully got
that until they got older that Istarted catching, Like now I get why

(05:39):
it's us parents will see our kidsa certain way. Can't help it.
God is God is. So thatwas kind of interesting about Angela being in
depicture independent. What was another smallthing in there? Well, we got
Lucas and now the whole side storyof now is gonna be a wildlife part.

(06:00):
So that should be very interesting tosee how they go through that.
And and Lucas asking Lee to comewith him the Capitol City and it was
funny her I remember what it waslike. That was she developed for next
season and so that was that wasgood. Also try I think when I
went, I was saving some stufffor later. He's I want to make

(06:21):
sure, I want to touch everythingI can. I'll just going. I
was going to the wedding itself. It was for me. I have to
smile because my grandma is Sarah Pheedie. She still she's still hardy. She
went up to do the show.He was still hardy having her all was

(06:42):
just going, we're doing the showback and after the TV we kept saying
we were looking for diversity, bindingverniversity, diversity, diversity to like seven
seasons, eight seasons later, youknow how many seasons later to see this
Chinese style. It wasn't full buta Saddi style wedding with a black preacher

(07:06):
officiating ceremony, and it was justthe whole rum which is so diverse that
I loved it. For me asa version of color who comes from both
of that come from both cultures,Chinese and black culture, it was just
like wow. And myself, Idon't have it over here of the shop
to post it online. I wasin. I was in my godparents' wedding,

(07:29):
Chinese Japanese wedding, and I wasI was in. There was a
ring bearer back in nineteen seventy six. I was a famous picture out there,
but I thought I had to saywhere next week, But it's over
there somewhere I'm to show it.But I was, I was in it.
I was in a wedding, andso I just I just I know
all the different traditions and things. And the cake was beautiful or design that
cake in real life, beautiful cake, getting her getting her brother there,

(07:54):
great, having it, having amazing they're as hilarious colors. But it
was just such for me. Itwas such a beautiful, multicultural, multi
racial wedding in a town that celebrateseverybody. Now I can actually say this
town celebrates everybody and when Fiona cameback and we were reminded she would have

(08:16):
got them together. Fiona was agood friend to Maysu. So I was
just like this at all, it'sjust it just it is for me.
Maybe other parties of Colories made usvery happy, I don't made us very
happy. And it's never thought i'dsee that. And I'm and I'm very
happy to see the show. It'sgrowing and evolving and and showing all that,
and that just makes me very happy. Uh. And at time when

(08:39):
I have other shows I watched,but I don't see that at all.
This show does it without huge fanfare, without huge anything. It's just natural
to part in a fabric of theshow. Who does the show for that?
I love that. It was great, but it was it was It
was just a wonderful, beautiful ceremony. Who knew it would be? Hicem
was the one we'd be like doingfor ten seasons later, right because there

(09:01):
do So that was great. Also, Uh, the we can sell the
last part, I'm take a tickey. We can tell we can sae last
part to say, Okay, soNathan and lives with her together, so
now they're together. You can tellthat they are together. Oh, before

(09:24):
I say to Rosemary and Dill madeup. That was funny. Also,
again, we've never guessed my favoriteduo though. These two they made up
and it was and it was thefunny way they made up, but it
was. It was good. AndI and they and I hope there's more
adventures with them. I I totallycan see there's more adventures with them.

(09:45):
They were they are good together. But they made up also, Lee and
and you know, I said Leeand and Lucas made him of course,
so that was good. I wasgood. Also he apologized. It was
So it's a I like the maturationof Lucas. Lucas just trying to find
his way. He's trying to findhis way. He's really trying to do
something good. And there's some savingcharacters out there, and there are always

(10:09):
a threats to the town, thesesavory characters, people's past, a lot
of stuff. It's always part ofthe threats in the town. I think
that's that makes sense, that's whatthat totally makes sense. Now getting to
the romance of the of the ofthe of Nathan Lucas, Nathan, I
said, Nathan and Lucas, Ohmy god, Nathan elizabeths but I meant

(10:33):
to say forty and slip. Iguess I don't know. No, they
Elizabeth and Nathan, so they're together, but they're trying to slowly noverybody know.
And I did appreciate they wanted tomake sure they tell the kids first.
Yes, Rosemary finds out she's bestfriend, but you tell, you
know, tell Jack and Ali.Ali. Of course we know she was

(10:54):
rooting for Ends from beginning, soI knew it would be a problem.
Well, Jack, it's a cuteways you're telling them about it. I
thought that was a respectful way shetalk to about it. And and this,
and this leads me to that lastpart that we saw that a parent
of who were up in arms, like if Jack coming back day listen came

(11:15):
back and I got see I neverwatching it, and I'll see there's a
problem with social media because all youneed is one person to suggest something and
it catches wildfire. Right, Ithought, don't just been a statement yet
as of this recording of theory.I mean, I don't think Jack's going
back. I didn't get that fromthat either. It's since the guy said
my late your late husband, SoI mean there's a probably a bombshell being

(11:39):
dropped of some sort, and that'sfor next season. But I never I
didn't think he's come back. Butmy here's my thing about this Jack Thornton
at this point, because it wasa three six nine twelve, it was
five ten foot Okay, we're twelve. Well we're getting heading into a twelfth

(12:01):
season. He was a Jack Thorntonwas a third of this of this series.
He was an important part of thisseries, and I actually enjoy when
they bring him up every few seasonsor so or situations because he's part of
the legacy of the show and andfor her life. And you just go

(12:28):
away because they die. I mean, there's things that come up and things
that happen, and I think it'sa show about it's a drama, so
I mean there's the mine from thatdoesn't mean you have to break up Nathan
and Elizabeth like that. But JackThornton, I think his name should be
in our mouths still on some occasions, not all the time, obviously,
but on a certain occasion of certainthings, I think why not. It's

(12:50):
it was a sudden death, andI'm glad that Elizabeth talked to her.
Nathan talks about that now he replacedhim for that job, and and I
thought, I mean, just it'sjust it's always been part of it.
It's part of her story. Andlittle Jack is as a Thornton, that's
his dad. I'm glad she keepshis name in her mouth for him.

(13:18):
So for me, I'm curious asas a fan curious. He was mean,
it's a grows my slow ci fingerthing, a little tag at the
end, But I didn't see itas Jack organasy coming back. Now I
know Dan Listening and Aaron have theirmovie coming out, as he did the
premiere for that. That's coming outin Christmas, which will be fun to
watch. To watch that chance,so I'll probably watched it and do a
review of that because it's kind ofrelated to this kind of you know,

(13:41):
Penny, different characters. But Ithought, I always think that that Jack
Thornton's legacy should be mentioned every oncein a while. It should not be
forgotten. He's part of the show. You know, he's not not on
the show anymore by beinging his brotherin town season which I'm talking about with
Brian Byrd and all stuff. He'spart of the he's a p he's a
fabric part of the show, andI think that every once in a while

(14:05):
including him is not a bad thing. And it doesn't mean that that Nathan
it was about to break up againor I don't think, just something that's
coming up. And also I alsoam glad that Lizabeth talked to Lucas say
I'm going to the wedding with Nathan, and I'm actually said that, and

(14:26):
so that was good. Also,I hope that I'm curiously what they do
with Nathan's character. So again,I like I like both. I love
both actors Chris and Kevin who bothplay Nathan, and op who both play
who played Lucas and Nathan. Ilike both of the actors. I hope
they find ways to keep them bothon the show, or since Nathan now

(14:48):
is linked up with Elizabeth, Ihope they find a way to keep Lucas
on the show. To me,he's a part and a fabric of the
show too. I think that's it. I want to say the rest for
the show, and so tonight sixpm, we'll do that. If you
follow, if you're catching all thislater and later and later, everything,

(15:09):

that you even include me in yourviewing in the Hearty's universe. You keep

so for us period, especially herein as Americans. With the we have
two strikes going on. I lostmy stepdad, almost lost my mom uh

(16:40):
and then then became a caregiver, then trying to come back when the strikes
