I've doing this show for so long, and the Heartys have just embraced

over the years. And they justfinished season e eleven, Season eleven,

(00:47):
like, I can't I say thatnumber, and I'm like, and
we're going into season twelve. Helpme welcome executive producer and one of the
co c creators of this wonderful show, Ryan Bird. Thank you, James,

(01:08):
You please come a chat. Butwhether it's well, it's hot for most
people. So if you're somewhere it'shot, make sure you're hydrated, make
sure the pets are okayge I doall that stuff. Just be careful out
there. It's a little warm.It is. It's summertime, kids,
summertime, so you know, solike it might be make me careful.
It might be careful. But yeah, come on into the chat. Come
on in the like button if you'renot. If you're not subscribed, please

(01:30):
subscribe to my channel. I haveall kinds of wind calls. Are are
all kinds of content on here fromall the seasons we have done the show,
plus extras and interviews, and soI'm very excited. So if you're
new, work to your chat.I see somebody, my girl Janette,
my best Siegenet, Hello girl,I see you, and I see Mark,
I see how my friends like Isee guys are coming in. So

(01:52):
yeah, come on in. We'regonna talk about everything. And of course,
if you have any questions or thoughtsor I will read them first,
of course, but we all youcan ask something, we'll see what's going
on. But you know how wedo it. We tell the truth and
shame the devil. That's what wedo, right, Brian, Absolutely,
we do. Okay, everyone,I want to ask you first, Brian,
because you know we're coming out.The last time we talked, we

(02:13):
were coming out of this pandemic andall that kind of stuff. But now
during this time period going into nowseason twelve coming, we're coming out of
in America two strikes. We hadthe writers strike and we had the actors
strike. I mean like at thesame time, for many of us in
America we didn't work. There area lot of things. And then also

(02:34):
for us press, a lot ofus couldn't do anything. We couldn't talk
to him. You got, itwas like it was. It was so
I said, I playing reunion thisseason, having the interviews, But I
want to ask you just from theshow standpoint. I know you guys were
in solidarity with it cause you're inCanada, But how was that navigating that
whole thing of I guess we're goingto film even though I know this stuff
was going on in America, Like, how did that work? Well?

(02:58):
You know, it felt like honestlyfor all of us associated with one Calls
of Heart, like another second pandemicin a weird way, you know.
You know, you could say thereare these you know, limitations or handcuffs
that are sort of put on ashow like this, but you know,
this is a show that always findsa way. Yes, and we did,

(03:23):
and we did it by honoring youknow, the strikes. But the
unions also honored the show in away by allowing us to continue with our
process. And so I'll just saywe're glad that that that you know,
season or that period is sort ofin the rear view mirror, and in

(03:47):
watching season eleven unfold, I wouldchallenge anybody to say that they saw any
effect from it. And I wouldalso I would challenge people to say that
about COVID as well. We didan amazing job. Our crew and our
cast, and our writers and producers, the Hallmark Channel, all of our

(04:11):
patrons for this show, and peoplewho work in the trenches on the show.
They always go and be above andbeyond the call of duty. It's
always hard, as you know, making stories for film and TV is kind
of an impossible business sometimes, yes, and has nothing to do with pandemics

(04:33):
or labor action. It just alwaysis. It's just a challenge because there's
a lot of moving parts. Andwhat I'm so proud of with this whole
partnership, this whole family from thenetwork to the production, to the cast,
to the crew, to the Hardysto James Lodd Junior. There's a

(04:57):
family here, and a family thatshows up each other through thick and thin,
and we make it through the challenges, whatever the challenges are. You
know, everybody has challenges in theirlife. Like it's we're not more special
because we had to go through someof these things, right, We are
more special because we go through them. Right, That's why we're special.

(05:20):
And we do it with courage andsacrifice, but also love for one another.
And that's what makes this show sospecial. And I think that shines
through when you watch it. Yeah, Joanna Schroeder said, is it possible
a season eleven with the best seasonyet? It was incredible things to all.
We will get to the season.I got kinds of questions. We're

(05:42):
gonna talk about him, but Ijust want to get this part out because
it's just it was very important becauseand you know, when you do a
TV show also you want to promoteit. You would I also go out
there and you said there was somerule I also work in the soap so
they had special rules too. Guys. It was all confusing for a lot
of people. But you said something, I just I just love that we've
been through stuff before this show, like we always make it through. Like

(06:02):
that's kind of I'm sure. Andlike I said, it had its challenges,
obviously you had to kind of workaround it. Yeah, I would.
This show is born out of thosekinds of challenges way back in two
thousand and eight. And and youknow, before the show even got off
the ground, the movie, youknow, had its own challenges through no
fault of its own. And youknow, life gets in the way of

(06:26):
people trying to do their best right, so you can either become a victim
or a victor, you know,in those circumstances, and we just choose,
We just choose the the better way, you know, the better way
to be. And so I Iyou know, what I love so much
about season eleven is that I don'tsee any problems, Like I don't see

(06:49):
the outside whatever the external problems mightmight have been back in the day,
they don't show up on the camera. And to me, that's that's what
good television is. Yes, whatare the challenges you have also, which
is a great thing. It's justan embarrassment of riches. Yeah, there's
wonderful cast. It's a large cast. You think about, it's a large

(07:10):
cast. You have a large cast. And I'll say part of the cast
is the town that's also a player. It's a character. The town is
a character. How fun and orchallenging has it been because we're seeing the
differences now of the town. Imean it's like it's I mean there's cars
with the horse and buggies, there'smore shops, there's more homes, there's

(07:33):
more people. How fun has thatbeen? For season eleven? And as
you're going to season twelve, it'salways you know, for me as a
I'm sort of you know, Michaeland I gave birth to the show and
we been sort of the proud grandfathers. At this point of a show,
we get to we get to likejust we just get to celebrate the babies,

(07:55):
the grand babies now larious for us, it's it's deeply honoring and deeply
moving. And so every time there'ssomething fresh or new or a cool story
point or more diversity on screen, which to me has been exciting, you
know, for us to see that. You know, we're just so proud.

(08:16):
We're just so proud of how thisshow has grown up, right,
and we're watching it all sort ofgrown up now, and it's it's doing
what it's supposed to do in theworld, and so I love that.
Yeah, forty two minutes is nota lot of time per per episode.
A TV hour of forty two minutesis challenging sometimes, but I love how

(08:39):
we're able to at least give somethingmeaningful to almost everybody in the town.
Maybe not every episode, maybe noteverybody gets the same amount of love in
every episode, you know, interms of screen time, but it balances
out night and balances out nicely.I was with Lindsey on a podcast earlier

(09:01):
and we were talking about like, like a guy like Mike kick Him,
Right, Mike kick Him was abasically a helper for ned Yos. He's
one like a very small, sortof little little role, a couple of
lines per per episode, and allof a sudden, the dude is the

(09:22):
star of of of a beautiful weddingin in the final episode in the season
finale, and he and may likecoming together in this incredibly beautiful, like
culturally significant you know new way tolook at at a marriage in a town

(09:43):
like Cope Valley, and everybody celebrated, and and here come all the men
with their drums walking out with Mikekick him in the groom and like in
that beautiful Chinese custom. And there'sLucas like being being being the almost like
the best man he could be foryou know, for my kick, I'm

(10:03):
pounding that drum even though he didn'tget to experience a wedding last year.
So you know, I love thatwe do meaningful things for all the characters.
Sometimes it's a balancing act, likeyou said, but at the end
of the day, they get theirsright some way, somehow. That's true.
Everyone in chat is saying how thesets were wonderful. The shots from

(10:26):
the road and Lucas Jeannett were awesome, the new shots in the town,
I'm saying, I'm really noticing it'sit's I said, it's its own character.
It's just new. When they hadthe traffic light to train and like
we know, you know, wenoticed everything. But I so I'm seeing
everybody in the chat it's like reallylike they just they're really enjoying all the
different cinematography that costumes and stuff. So yes, I agree with you guys

(10:48):
in the chat, I just feltlike the town is growing up. From
the first seat, I guess it'sgrowing up. I literally in front of
our eyes, like literally in oureyes. It's great. I'm gonna go
into I was gonna go to itlater, but I'm gonna go into right
now because you brought up people aretalking about the wedding. I personally it's
you know, a person of color, clearly, but I was also raised

(11:11):
by a Chinese godmother. I wasin her wedding as a ring there back
in the seventies. I'm gonna shuta picture of folks at some point,
and so I grew up with thecustoms and so for me to watch this
show and to see that, well, the centerpieces included also that I talked
to Amanda who's on the show.Of course, her journey made Sue's journey

(11:33):
adding her Chinese heritage. Kudos toyou, guys, I really appreciate.
I know it's important to you toopersonally you have in your family also.
But I just thought I never thoughtfrom season one to now, we had
I said, my show, wehad a black preacher officiating ceremony of there's
this multicultural, multi racial couple, like I said, with the costumes,

(11:54):
with the correct colors, all theall the I loved it, and so
I guess that I'm sure I wasvery important to you guys, wasn't it.
He was? And and you know, just to just to bear that
out, our our ourt department andour production designer did a fabulous job along
with our writers who did the research. We actually had a consultant who helped

(12:18):
us make sure that we we wedepicted that wedding in a in an authentic
as authentic a way as we couldfor the time, you know, nineteen
twenty two, twenty four, Iguess, and you know, to do
that in the right way. Soa lot of attention to detail went into
that, and you know, forme, it was just so moving to

(12:39):
actually see that unfold. You know, I had read it in the script,
but when I saw the I sawthe first you know edit of it
cut together, I just was solike it took my heart away. As
you mentioned, I have two Koreandaughters. I mean, you know,
I I'm huge believer in the familyof man like right, and so I

(13:05):
love that we were able to dothat. And you know, that that
we added the little touches, thebeautiful little touches of of you know,
of the the cake and the andthe drum beats and and all the colors
as and the way that the thechurch was was decorated, the way the
saloon was decorated for the reception. At the end, all of that,

(13:28):
having a brother, having her brothercome, having it put the final peace
with the happiness. It's all veryand we'll say yes, the cultural touch
touches were appreciated to all of usAsian American watching. Yes, yes,
so we we wanted to do itright. And also it's funny. It's

(13:48):
always some funny parts we love.I know, Fonda being best woman.
I was sobby about that. Itold my show when my best friends got
married, I was her man ofhonor. I stood for her wedding.
I was man first. So Iknow what that interesting. It was.
It was just wonderful. I lovethe throw away line of what's the twenties?
This makes me laugh. What's thetwenties? I mean the twenties right

(14:11):
now? To you, it's alwayslike, you know, I think it's
kind of hilarious. Uh. Fiona'sFiona is a pioneer. You know,
she's a pioneer lady and the trendsetter. So I love I love that we
get to let her speak into theroaring twenties there. Yes, well,
also you reminded us she was theone who got them together, that it
was her and so she was therefor macone when it came to facet like

(14:35):
she was part she is part oftheir story. I was like she was
part of their story at the beginning. There's such intricate, you know,
tapa weaving of the tapestry, thestory tapestry that our writers have always done
such a magnificent job of. Andthey're and they're great about uh, you
know, the the verse similitude withprevious seasons, about blending storylines, bringing

(14:58):
back storylines, bring it back characters, letting kids who've left the show come
back all grown up. You know, all of those things. I love
all of that. And callbacks, you know, callbacks galore to previous seasons.
It's just so elegantly done. Wellyour you know a few shows,
folks, you understand this go toseason eleven. I mean, that's just

(15:22):
not like the norm. I mean, maybe if we make fun of Gray's
anatomy make fun of soap operas, law and orders, they last forever.
Those are still not the nor that'snot no, no, it's it's we're
we don't take it for granted atall. You know, when Michael and
I, you know, you know, it's almost like we blinked and all
of a sudden we're in season eleven, season twelve. You know, it

(15:46):
just is sort of surreal sometimes. And a friend of mine says, you
know, if one calls the Heartmakes it to season seventeen, you'll be
in the top ten of all time. Yes, and so for all my
uh friends at the Hallmark channel listening, please please please please yes, yes,
yes, we will do it.Let's all do it together. Let's

(16:08):
make this work. Let's keep theaudience growing so that we have to do
it. But anyway, but it'sit's a it's an honor, it's a
it's an incredibly humbling to know thatthis has happened. We could never have
imagined it. We were just tryingto make a good show back in the
day, and and we didn't knowif the audience would respond or not.

(16:32):
Right, we just knew that wehad to do a good show that would
lift their hearts. And somehow itbroke through. It broke through all the
noise of this culture, with allthe millions of messages flying at us every
day, and it broke through thatnoise. And uh and and so we
we are honored, We're grateful. It's a legacy we could never have imagined.

(16:56):
And the biggest legacy of all isthe Hearties themselves, because they will
live past the show. You know, they will absolutely outlive the show.
And that that is a legacy thatany person in this business could could,
should be happy about, and shouldfeel satisfied with. Let's beak the Simpsons.

(17:17):
Yes, well I'm probably not gonnahappen, but good on them on
that. I love that. I'mlike, I know we'll still be alive.
Then, I don't know. Hereyears ago, you made a joke
on our show. You're saying, when we get to season twenty, we
can I mean that's literally just eightmore seasons. I mean, that's not
that far off you think about it, not really? Yeah, you never
know. And and you know what'sreally interesting about you know, you bring

(17:41):
the Simpsons up. The first showthat I was a staff frighter on was
in nineteen eighty nine. The Simpsonswas already going. Yes, it was
already going by a couple of yearsthere, nineteen eighty nine. What it's
like out in the world now inthe world. Is that even possible?

(18:02):
I know, that's right, that'sright. Yeah, yeah, Doctor Who
is another one in that category.Yes, and yes, another one I
lose. But one of the thingsI want to bring this up, and
some of the next things I wantto talk about, is one of the
things if you saw this season witha lot of returns, and that's when
you have a long running show, you can start doing that. You can
do the callbacks and have the wholething and see the storyline arcs. I

(18:25):
never thought in a brillion years.Yeah, that's a word grillion and a
brillion years, Brian Bird, thatI'd be looking to Henry Gowan for wisdom
like I never thought. I meanhis storylinel like I think I've talked to
some of my show before and madea fans agree one of the most beautiful

(18:48):
arcs of this of your whole show, it's his transformation. Yeah yeah,
and he talks about we'll go getto the more stop of the season.
But it's overall to say, youguys accomplished this thing. Where certain character
well, I mean almost Rosemary too. When Rosemary first came out and asked
my girl. When she first cameon, she came on a certain way,
and now her we'll get to hera bill a second too. I

(19:08):
know what I we'll talk to youabout. But the whole thing that we
get to see these I mean, these are people we really saw and Hick
them too. We saw this arcwith them. That's hazy. So I
mean, any thoughts on just generalof that person, Henry Gallon especially,
Yeah, I I love Henry Gallon'scharacter so much. I actually was watching

(19:30):
an episode from season one just Idon't know, handful handful of just happened
to be showing and when I Ijust dialed in, and it was when
I see the Henry from back inthe day, Yes, to Henry now
tending and nurturing the hazel nut trees, Yes, and having philosophical conversations with

(19:57):
Pastor Joseph. That is a remarkabletransformation. And it's happened in like peeling
back an onion a layer at atime, and like it's there's a lot
of layers to this man and alot of Honestly, you can see his

(20:18):
childhood is the hardships that he wentthrough as a child sort of playing out
now as an older man as he'sgetting older, and the doubts and the
uncertainties and the fears that he hadeven as a kid still showing up from
time to time, and on topof that, having to deal with forgiving

(20:41):
himself, which he's had to doa few times. Accepting the forgiveness of
others is one thing, but youactually have to forgive yourself at some point.
And to see him go through thatprocess, to see him praying with
Joseph, and in certain seasons,to see Florence whispering in his ear that

(21:07):
she forgives him. Oh, there'snothing better on television than those kinds of
stories. And you know the Hero'sJourney. If you study the Hero's Journey,
that goes back five thousand years, because it's all based on all the
great myths of mankind. One ofthe twelve stages that acknowledged stages that are

(21:33):
common to all the great stories ofmankind. One of the stages is called
the resurrection. It's literally called theresurrection right, and it predates Jesus by
fifteen hundred years, that idea,so it happened before. It didn't start
with Jesus. It happened in storytelling, you know, for mankind earlier.

(22:00):
And to see that Henry in away across eleven seasons has had a resurrection
so he can actually give advice tothe pastor about his own challenges with his
younger brother. Yes, yes, moving, deeply moving to me, deeply
moving. So you know, kudoson you for calling that out, because

(22:25):
that, to me is like andyou don't see this very often on television,
even on the long running shows, like a character who like starts in
season one and ends up in seasoneleven in some new place transformed. It's
rare to see that ever, SoI love I love that what we've done
with with Henry Gowan. Yes,we'll go get to some sort of things

(22:45):
he's helped with this season. Thankyou for faith elements and what costs of
heart. It's hard to go againstthe grain. One of the hardest things
you will ever do. And Ispeak from experience. I love the show,
so yes, I agree, youhave to forgive yourself. I know
it's hard. You have to startwith it. You can't. You can't
go outward unless you go inWORD.That's just just life. You have to
go first, and for some ofus we talked to God to go in

(23:06):
word and talk to and God's inside, so that's kind of the the deal.
But Henry got again and Martin Cummingsjust great actor, just I mean
bringing Henry life. It's just Imean, he's he's he's the one telling
Luke. And that's the thing toso great is that we'll get too Lucas
storyline in a second, but it'sjust great that he was like taking his
past, part of his save wepassed to now use it for good.

(23:30):
Now, you, like we alldo, we get a little older.
But I wasn't always this innocent myself, and we all you when you get
older, you start you know, you kind of take all your your some
of your experiences, right, youdon't how you're not defined by him,
but you're the some of them. And sometimes you can use things to sniff
out other things to help you outfor something good. I thought that's what
Henry was doing, and I lovethat, and that Lucas confused him for

(23:55):
that on some level and that wasjust that was just really good. So
I'm like we all, we allgettle, so must a little older than
I, and we live some lives, but we are, we're we're what
We're here for the better. Yeah, Martin's true. Yeah, Henry,
I know you as the chat sayingyou love. I'm telling you if you
go back to my chats from seasonsone to six or five, you would
not be saying that. And thiswas That's what's so amazing to me.

(24:18):
And that's that's the show. That'swhat the show does. One of the
big wet a couple of big storylines. Won't go through every single one,
but one of the big storylines thatI loved, love love love love love
I thought was so well written.A twist I did not see I used
to I usually can guess these twists. Twist I did not see you loud

(24:40):
you know what you don't want tosay that be coming. It is the
Lucas shooting. What a great storyline. First of all, congratulates on that
and making Jeanette Shaw was genius.I did, I can I start going
way Man's telling him what g Itwas Still it still wasn't hitting me.

(25:02):
But the great part about the storylineshad twists and turns and had drama.
Having having Lucas I really remember, but also make us think it's someone else
and bringing that person back into ourlives a little bit, and it wasn't
it. And then also Bill andRosemary you, oh, I did not
know we needed? Can you tellus about that a little bit? That

(25:22):
that was very very, very veryand how touching the last episode he kind
of apologize to her. He know, Bill Avery is like, you know,
the anti hero hero. He's like, he's funny, and he's always
gruff and all these things, buthe cares very much. Who thought of
the Rosemary? Bill say, Inever to guess that. Well, I'll
tell you this was a beautiful yarnspun by our wonderful writers. And you

(25:48):
know when Lindsay, you know, weren't Michael and I are in the room
anymore. What we get to dois we get to have some deep dives
with Lindsay and some of the otherwriters, just as they share with us
what their their plans are and andwe say, take you guys. You
guys are flying the plane like gogo go. We we love what you're

(26:08):
doing. They don't need our blessing, but we we end up blessing in
them no matter what, because thestories are so cool. And so when
we first heard this yarn the spinof the who shot j R? On
when you know, right on whencalls the Heart, we said, okay,
there you go, like assassination, she wrote, is what for here?

(26:34):
Right, with a little bit ofColumbo mixed in? Yes, yes,
And so there is just great, great legacy value in those kinds of
storylines. And we haven't done thatbefore, but we put down rebellions and
little like bandidos and stuff like thatfrom time to time. But this was

(26:56):
a pot boiler that started, honestlystarted when Lucas first arrived, right,
which with these this phone call fromthis mysterious Jeanette in his life, you
know, five seasons ago. Soto me, that's what's so brilliant about
it. To bring Jessica Rabbit toHope Valley, you know, was really

(27:18):
cool. This fatal sort of filmnoir sort of style of making the show.
And it just was a great, such a great, you know,
refreshing, you know wrinkle to throwat the heart E's and all the fans
of this show and so we youknow, this was fantastic. And I
thought that, honestly, I thoughtall of the business with Lucas becoming governor

(27:42):
in Season ten was fantastic too. That agree, you know, the intrigue
around people trying to steal water inthe ode, the nod to Chinatown,
you know, you know in seasonten, wonderful legacy, you know,
kinds of storytelling to be bringing tothe table. You know, that's what

(28:03):
to me is keeping this show sofresh. And there's more coming in season
twelve. I've heard that. I'veheard what's coming in season twelve and it's
fantastic. So, uh, youknow, this is this is why the
show continues. It's we're not trying. We don't want to repeat things.
We don't want to be predictable. You know a lot of shows end up
just repeating the stories over and overthe longer they're on the air. Well,

(28:26):
we're not there yet. We're notgiven to that like temptation yet.
Well we have you have eighty tpeople watching us live right now. Brian,
Wow, Hello Hardy and I loveit. I love it, and
many of these people in her sayinglove the mystery season brilliantly done. Rosewayne
building their own mystery series. Yes, Rosewaye build teaming up the who Done

(28:48):
It art was brilliant. We wantmore of this Jessica Rabbitson described Janette is
so perfect Brian, everybody's like we. Mary Kramer says premer so like Premerk
Prayer says on my glasses on,I think almus Hardy's would welcome more of
the mystery elements. I agree withyou on that, I really I do.
That's that You're right. It wasso different than the other stories you

(29:08):
told the seasons. It was atrue mystery strung along bit by bit.
Pay The pacing was good through theseason. I'm like, I'm like,
yeah, who'shot? I mean,I was like, who shot? Like
what's going on if it's not himand it's not really him? And it's
not really him? I was gettinglike where who did it? I did

(29:29):
it? Like this is crazy, beauty, beautiful, beautifully. I agree.
Another storyline that was really well again, how you go? How are
you boy coming in here? Speakingof diversity, I love how you can
I talked about this when I hadViv and Natasha on the show, but
I want to bring this up toyou that I love. Also how you're
showing the layers of Joseph Canfield thateven a man of the you know you

(29:56):
say of the cloth or the faith. What are words you want to use?
They're human like somebody else. We'reall human. We have our our
annoyances and foyd what all this stuffwere human and no one's, no one's
there's only one God that did.I love how you're showing this and bring
the whole brother thing in. Didnot see that coming either. We're like,
brother, don't get along? What'sgoing what's going on there? And

(30:18):
I love so I love that story. I want to mention that story.
That was a great story. Andlittle redemption there too. So we're only
hearing fits and pieces of their life. There's still lifetime fold. We don't
know what happened when he before theygot there, so we're learning stuff.
Yeah, no, it was.It was a really really beautiful and moving,
you know storyline for Joseph. Youknow, you know, uh,

(30:44):
pastors and and Mafiosa's put their pantson one leg at a time. Right,
they're all humans, right, andso they have their blind spots.
But what I loved about Joseph andhis brother is the idea that something small

(31:06):
grew into something big, right, and Joseph felt like he was being unfairly
you know, criticized by his brotherfor reasons he couldn't understand. It just
did not feel fair, and sohe was living in that unfairness. And
when the truth came to life isthat you left me, Bro, you

(31:30):
abandoned me. I thought we weregoing to have a life together. Right.
That was the beef that his brotherhad with him, and just so
moving. It's just so moving, you know this, These are these are
things that you know, like I'vesaid before, we're trying to you know,
we're trying to do stories in nineteennineteen twenties that resonate for now do,

(31:53):
right, and you and you haveto do you have to do stories
that are relevant to where people liveright now, right. And there are
many a family I have I'm nottoo proud to admit I have relationships from
my own family that have beefs thatgo back decades, right, that have

(32:15):
not been fixed. And I whenI watch a show about Joseph and his
brother, it makes me want tofix them, right, It really it
does, because it's just it's justit's life is too short to have these
breaches between us, right, Andthat's a lesson for everybody that's that's not

(32:37):
a lesson for nineteen twenty four that'sa lesson for now, maybe more so
now than ever. Well, thelesson is which I kept like you guys
hammered it in which I loved hewas Joseph was so on the defense about
I don't know why, I don'tknow why. I don't know why.
Yeah, when I said so,that's not really the point you to be
worrying about, like you don't knowwhy, Like that's he's hurt. See,

(33:00):
that's that's a total lesson for today, where we're so caught up in
almost semantics, are caught up inand caught up in our own ego stuff
or just caught up whatever it is. They're like, yes, just talk
like talk to you, like, stop saying that. And it's just like
he's hurt, Like it doesn't matteralmost so much. Why it'll come out

(33:22):
as so much? Did? Itwas like we have to kind of get
out of ourselves to say they havethe compassion and grace to go into it
and fix it well, And itraises an really crucial question that we all
have should probably you know, askof ourselves. It does forgiveness require repentance?

(33:46):
First, No, it doesn't.Me that's my own experience. It
doesn't. But you know, right, because when we hold unforgiveness in our
hearts right towards somebody else, it'slike drinking poison and hoping the other person
gets sick, right, because forgivenessis good for our soul, even if

(34:09):
they don't ask for it, right, And that's an important human like saying
that we all need to think aboutin our lives. And so I just
love that Hope Valley can can givebirth to those kinds of conversations and those
kinds of ideas because they they will, you know, they will fix things

(34:32):
when you when you tackle those thingsin your life, it fixes things,
Yes, it does. It does. Two things brought up in a chat
just when he can't answer no spoilers, He can't answer spoilers. You just
know that. But these are twothings that are brought up. Can Janette
be redeemed? That actress is reallygood? She she may give me the
creeps? She was so good.I was like, I was like,

(34:54):
you're in trouble, Lucas running great. Actually she's so good. And number
two the other thing is hope theyexplore Mini's background. We saw the confidence
between Joseph and her father. Weknow about that. It's a little thing
going on. She's wrong side oftracks, so speak kind of thing going
on there. So folks are kindof I'm just kind of things. I'll

(35:17):
plead I'll plead the fifth on someof these things. But what I will
say is that, you know,Hope Valley does more of what it's always
done does best, right, youcan rely on that it never will not
do that. And the fact thatwe fixed Henry Gowan know little by little

(35:42):
over a decade, Yes, meansanybody can you know anybody's nobody's beyond repair,
you know in Hold Valley. That'strue. I like that. Barbara
Laiir said it perfectly. Of courseHenry's again, Henry. Henry's advice to
Joseph is perfect. The reason doesn'tmatter. Hurt is hurt. That's my
whole point too, Like doesn't add. At some point you guys stopped asking
that question y and let's and let'sjust sten I put that aside. So

(36:06):
yeah, again, Henry again,Henry was part of that. That was
crazy. Also revisiting oh another powerfuland and I said it on my show.
I don't I notice how this industryis unfortunately, but I I wish
you guys could be nominated for someEmmys and the acting categories. This episode

(36:28):
really got to me very heavily revisitingAli's father jailed father called Nathan Ali.
Oh, that whole situation that wasvery powerful to you and what is family?
And and and you guys did andyou guys did it. And the
thing that I thought that was interestingto you it wasn't just resolved in one

(36:49):
episode, in several episodes, andyou let it play out where there was
some mean moments. I mean therewas some. I mean there was some
there was just resolved with which thenext scene you're like, oh, not
resolving this right now. It's likeit's it's kind of simmering there from for
a minute. It was a littleit was a little scary to watch,
but beautiful work from all the actorsinvolved. Oh yeah, young Jada,

(37:12):
boy, she showed her. Sheshowed her acting chops in those those handful
of episodes in a big way thatyou know, that primal hunger like for
for her origin story. Yes,young people have this. I have two
adopted daughters. I know how powerfulthat that need is. It's almost it's

(37:36):
it's it's it's primal, right andit can't just be fixed by good adoptive
dad in her life right, lookingout for her best interests. He sometimes
sometimes you have to let you knowthe truth take its toll in order to

(38:01):
get to healing. But Brian, you know it's hard as a parent,
is I got Nathan's part of it. I've been there in several cases where
it's hard to know what time isappropriate, yes, what to tell not
to tell. I will admit I'vetold a few little white lies at certain
ages of my kids just to protecthim. Yes, a parent, just

(38:21):
I mean it's it's hard well, and and honestly Nathan has been doing that
for Ali for a few seasons now, right, because he had to run
in with her dad. Yeah,I remember, Yeah, I remember her
and her grandfather, you know, you know his father. So there there's
some family dynamics there that you've gotto protect your kids up to a point.

(38:44):
But at some point they have tolearn, you know, some of
these lessons themselves. And and hewouldn't have he wouldn't have let her go
to that prison had he known, right, right, But you know,
part of growing up for uh,for all of us is sometimes you know,

(39:04):
doing something like what she did andand getting kind of you know,
smacked in the face with it.Right to learn the lesson. And you
don't want your kids to ever gothrough something that could hurt them permanently,
right, But sometimes life is thebest teacher, right it is. I

(39:28):
mean it is. The whole chatis like Jada is amazing, deserves an
emmy. Uh. Sheila says,it's been, and she brings a good
point. It's always been a partof Ali's story since we met her search
for family, and I did hasbeen versus her mother, I mean,
and then it was kind of herfather and Nathan, her somebody. Minnie
says. She was so real heremotion being Ali that's what this is.

(39:49):
And I go, that's what Lisbonsaid. We our children hurts. Yeah,
yeah, ard breaks your heart, breaks your heart to see it happen,
your heart, just see it happen. I've lived through that with you
know, off and on with myfive kids over the the years, and
it's really hard to do as aparent, but sometimes it's necessary, it

(40:12):
is. And by saying this, this part was so cutting when she called
it uncle Nathan, Yes, yeah, like that that was painful. I
was like, what it's like youguys went there, Oh, this so
totally went there. I was like, wow, I mean it was like,
which is great. I mean Ithink I think some folks say,
well, my cousin said some lightnaryshow on homemark. I know they go

(40:35):
there sometimes like that's not that's notanyway when everybody like we said, she
said, uncle Nathan, that cutright and just cut all in there,
just cut everything up in there.Well, you know, high school is
hell in twenty twenty four, andit was hell back then too, uns
the high school years. Yes,it is. I had two daughters,
I trust me. I know Ihave bright hairs of my chin. I

(40:58):
earned everyone. I love them. Those a good storyline. Also, you
gave us what you guys do sowell, and it kind of reminded me
back in the day we met Cody, the whole thing, the whole faith
in Lily storyline. Oh yeah,so cute. Oh like that little girl
with you guys always find the bestkids. Who knows the casting director,

(41:22):
Yes, yes, yeah, that'slittle Lily Chloe who plays Lily. You
know, uh, shades of littleOpal back in the day County right and
shading Emily even going all the wayback to the beginning of the show.
Yeah, and and those those girlsare like, uh, those girls are

(41:44):
grown up. I know. Ilike the fact that now we've got h
Goldie and Little Jack and now LittleLily in the town because we've got to
maintain that, you know, multigenerational aspect to the show. And and
you know, it's an important partof you know, when you when a

(42:06):
show like and it's not it's rarethese days that a show is watched by
multiple generations. True. I don'tknow if you call it a four quadrant
show or not. It it itis why we hear regularly from families where
you get three generations or four generationssitting on a couch together watching the show.

(42:27):
That is like wow, that that'sthat is rare. Well. Part
of the part of the the strategythere is to make sure that we're we're
having storylines that even younger kids canidentify with, right, and so that
we and teenagers and moms and grandparents, like we're trying to hit all the

(42:52):
all the zones if we can.Yeah, I know you were in the
writer's room, but I was.I just was just curious, was there
or talk of her going back toa grandmother or not. I was kind
of find that to keep honest,I thought, for serious, gonn go
away with a grandmother and that wasit. So I was a plasic surprise
they decided to actually keep from theshelf. Yeah, I mean the story

(43:12):
is so so honest because you know, I have we our daughters are adopted.
So I'm a big believer in adoptionand foster fostering kids and all of
that, and the the there's heartbreakup and down the line in those stories
when you know parents come back orparents you know, get restored with their

(43:36):
children, you know, maybe evenyears of fostering a child the foster parents,
that is a heartbreaking thing to gothrough, right, And so that
for faith, you know, awhole valley version of that kind of a
story. And so I thought itwas really brilliant. I thought it was

(43:58):
really good. I thought there waswas not uh too easy, right,
That's one of the things, likeyou mentioned, like we don't make it
too easy. We we we wemake it you know, we string it
out over a few episodes to youknow, make it a little harder to
get through. But you know, but it was sort of a nice,

(44:20):
uh you know resolution to that storybecause Grandma can come back whenever she wants,
they can have Sunday dinner, youknow, all of those things.
And I think that Lily realized howmuch Faith was investing in her, and
you know, and Faith went forit like that. I mean, you

(44:42):
know that was Andrew did such agreat job with that. You know,
she just went for it, andshe put her own She's a mother herself,
so you put herself right in thoseshoes, her own experiences, and
it was fantastic. Yeah, it'sit's what's great. And even in the
end when feels like, come withme to Tennis. We got work to
do, She's like, you know, you found your purpose. And he

(45:04):
looked over Lily, and that's sowonderful. I think it's said, but
this is her town, this isher town. She this is her town.
Now she is the she is thedoctor for this town. That's that's
what that is. So I said, Joanna says, I watched my thirteen
year old son, Hi, Carolynuh Ggano. I love your nath last
name. It's like little house inthe prairie, the Walter so for entire

(45:27):
family, which is how Marissa toldme. He goes James. I know
you like both the shows as Ido, and so I started watching this
one. Lily reminds me of Ali'ssituation. Nat This's brother was too old
to manage a small child. Lily'sgrandmother's health would wouldn't allow, so both
found someone to live. Yes,that's I felt about that. I got
about back to that. That wasthat part too. Yeah, yeah,
some common common echoes, you know, back to earlier storytelling, you know,

(45:51):
and even you know Abigail and andCody back in the day as well,
some some echoes back to that storyas well. I don't think you
can ever get too much of theof those storylines. Now. Was there
was there daycare back in the twenties, I didn't know. I didn't know
there was. That's kind of wedid dramatic license. I mean, let's
go. I think there was probablya little dramatic license. I did see

(46:14):
some folks posting about that, likereally, you know, my my answer
to those kinds of you know, questions is not that they're anything wrong with
asking, you know, the there'stwo ways to do like history. Yes,
you can do it real, yes, you can do it ideal yes,

(46:37):
and we just lean more into theideal. Yes, that's always our
joke Jodey faces and you know, yeah, that's the real part. We're
not doing that right, right, people not bathing more than once a week.
Yeah, exactly right, you seethat. But I was, But
I also was just kind of curiousmyself, like what I like, I

(46:57):
don't I don't know that much aboutthat time. PERI is. Also I
have a funny quick story I cantell you about this. So I so
I was back at a family gathering, actually a wedding for you know,
extended family back in Michigan, andI met this older woman who watches the
show. Oh, she said, now you know I was. I was

(47:20):
raised in a like a Saudie onthe on the on the you know,
on the platte on the prairie. And you know, we didn't have I
didn't have clothes like that, Ididn't have hair like that, I didn't
have makeup like that. Everybody looksso put together all the time. She
said, that's not what life waslike for me back in the day.
And I said, okay, wellI understand that. I appreciate I appreciate

(47:44):
that. And I said, Ijust have a couple of questions for you.
I said, do you watch theshow, do you like the show,
and she said I like it,and I said do you want?
And so you watch it? Shesays yeah, And I said will you
continue watching it? And she saidyeah, And I said, that's all
I really care about. Yeah, like say, whatever you want, that's

(48:06):
fine, keep watching now. SheilaColways said, the first day cares of
Canada were nineteen oh nine. Okay, there you go. We're we're being
keeping a wheeling, keeping it real. But I things a little bit of
matter and that's fine. It's finebecause again with kids in real life,
there are law, labor laws andkids. There's the whole thing. You

(48:29):
can't have kids just working all thetime running around. She got to somewhere.
You got put them somewhere on somelevel. Makes sense. Now another
the last couple things I want totalking about, thank you for your time,
as always saying I said it tomy show today because we had that
last ending little bump cliffhanger. Butone of the things I've enjoyed about this

(48:54):
show is that Jack is not reallygone completely. I feel like Jack,
I said on my show today,Jacket is a fabric and legacy of this
show. Who was on a whowas on a third of the show.
Just because he's dead doesn't mean he'sgone. We have little Jack, like
Rosemary new him beforehand, bringing onthe brother that was great, that was

(49:17):
like, that was that was fun. I'm like bringing him back on and
st that stuff up, but alsoup at the end. So I mean,
so, how cognizant are you guys, just even as second producers and
the show about keeping Jack's memory? You know what he's saying, his tombstone
should be bigger, but that butthat he's a hero, yes, but

(49:40):
in all seriousness, how cognisant areyou guys of giving his memory alive in
ways that makes sense? Yeah?Yeah, And and the answer is we
are cognizant of that. It's animportant, you know, piece of the
puzzle. We all spoke into thathaanger if you want to call it that.

(50:00):
Yeah, I would just say onbehalf of cliffhangers. You know,
who doesn't love a cliffhanger? Yes? What what really good show doesn't do
this at the end, you know, every season and so you know,
part of it is let's let's givelet's give our let's give the hardies something

(50:21):
to chew on, you know, into buzz about uh in the you know,
we're we're sort of you know,we're we're you know, we're essentially
hiatus, you know with the Hardy's, like they just have to watch reruns
until the next season is coming up. So we know that, you know,
we want plenty to chew on andplenty to talk about. So just

(50:43):
on behalf of cliffhangers in general, they're talking hard hard to apologize for just
that they're talking. They're talking.Yeah, And I will say that we've
had pretty much a cliffhanger every seasonthat would do the show. And there
been cliffhangers dating all the way backto you know, the first season and

(51:05):
the second season where Jack was goingto propose to Elizabeth and he walks up
on the schoolhouse and he sees herher her crush from Hamilton down on a
knee. Right, talk about acollective gasp across the heart, remember,
right, we saw videos of peoplegasping like they would say, they were

(51:27):
showing that their kids were all goingwhat what I remember? I saw some
of that last night. Oh yes, So we're not gonna apologize for that,
but what I will say, whatI will say about Jack is that,
you know, Inspector Hargraves was carefulto say your late husband say that

(51:50):
right, So Jack's not returning anyyou know, to Hope Valley. There
was no intention of that. Butthat doesn't mean like what you said,
that the that the uh, thathe's in the tapestry of the town.
He's in the tapestry of these relationshipsElizabeth and Nathan. He's at the He's
at the core of that relationship too, not just because of the red serge

(52:14):
jacket, but because of the circumstancesbetween them. So that this new whatever
this news is that we that weteased out on the cliffhanger, will be
important. It doesn't mean that Jackis coming back. Yeah. So if
if people take it like that, that's on them. We have one hundred

(52:39):
and four people now watching us.Okay, sorry, bigger uh. They're
all writing chewing, chewing, definitelychewing. But Barbara Laird a serious and
I appreciate the memory of jackets kepta Livenhole Valley. My girl, Jeanette
m s u my girl. We'lltalk about season two. Cliffanker Brian l

(53:00):
o l Uh Pessy lay Pa saysMichael Pia. I love the scenes where
Jack is remembered and honor when shegoes to visit the goes to visit the
graveside always, and I love thatpart to you that that's not that's a
real life thing. Uh the seasonsomebody likes to ending that was a long

(53:20):
wait, you know that. Butyeah, he can't be and Sonny says,
he can't be erased. That's thetruth. I think that's why I
like it when people say, well, why are you talking about Like,
that's kind of the point when someonepasses. I lost a brother, my
brother Max. I told him allthe time, you'll just go away.
That's that's just not that was sevenyears ago. He's still He's still in
my life. I still I missedit every single day. So I always

(53:42):
say that it's not they're not gone, they're just they're just like you just
kind of they find a different placein your life. And I think little
Jack growing up is still very important. And so the chat's agreement with all
that. It was like, that'sthe whole thing. But oh the name
of the school too, name ofschool Jack, It's it's it's he's a
part of that. I think.I think that's a great thing actually,

(54:04):
because he is a fabric part ofthe show. Yeah, and for and
for Nathan and Elizabeth to truly moveon with their relationship, right, they
they must unpack everything, right thisthis game of secrets last night, right,
fantastic fantastic game of secrets, whereElizabeth wanted to tell him her secret

(54:27):
was how about her potato like? And he came, he came loaded with
something like a real thing, right, yes, yes, he gave him
that, and so like he hadto admit, well, I I kind
of felt like we needed to talkabout something important. Well, okay,
season twelve, get ready, getready for something important to talk about,

(54:50):
That's what I'll say. Yes,uh, well yeah, Jeanette, I
we I know we have We didn'thave it. We did't have a podcast
season too, yet we came onin season three. I just found out
about it. Like we didn't getthere. Yes, that's why he didn't
have a podcast talk about it.You know we have vice, So yeah,
we got there. Dahlia says,as a widow, I really appreciated
season's ten eleven talking about Jack.I talked to my husband all in all

(55:13):
day. I love that. Thanksfor sharing that, Dahalia. I appreciate
that my mother lost her husband lastyear. So we're dealing with that this
whole year. Lori p laughing. There's sure a lot of cliffs in whole
Valley. I agree with that. It's kind of funny. That's funny.
Another he can't do spoilers, butblink twice, will Tom be back?

(55:36):
That's uh, that's in the classifiedfolder. Give that, I asked,
folks, I asked, I askedone hundred and sixty people watch. So
we guys are coming in, reallycoming in, Okay, can't wait?
Kissing potatoes, yeah about yeah.No. I just want to mention that
when people, when people do passon, they're important in your lives,
doesn't mean that they just go awayforever and that's just it. You put
him in a box somewhere and that'sit. You can still have him in

(55:58):
your life somehow. And he's rightwith the Nathan storyline. They mentioned it
again, it's like, you know, he took over from my like there's
a whole thread in there that theyhave to work out to go forward.
I mean, that's just kind ofa thing. And that's the real least.
I was waiting for this, andI was I'll wait to the end
for this one, folks, becausewe know Brian had been. I've been
here before over the years. Imean, I mean, I know,

(56:22):
you know, I feel like we'rebattle buddies. I think back back when
when Jack was killed and Homeboy andwe had to deal with all that.
There's a lot of stuff going onhere. But I'll tell you something again.
I said, I'm a hearty firstand always I'm team Elizabeth first.
Always. I've said that many times. So now let's get into just the

(56:42):
logistics of we got Nathan and andLizabeth are now together. Yes, some
say it was slow, but Isay no, because it was either the
last episode afore that when Nathan said, but it's up to her after what
happened last time. I thought thatwas very smart and very acknowledging that as

(57:05):
guys, especially, you know, our egos are fragile. We know us
guys are not going to openly putback out there again so fast. Yeah,
I love the honesty of that.I also loved the there's one you
know, there's a speech that Elizabethgave in the previous episode in season or

(57:27):
in episode eleven that was I thinklike one of the most memorable speeches in
all eleven seasons. It was gorgeous. Totally agree yeah, when she tells
him that he's an impeccable man andthat she's so sorry for leaving him hanging

(57:52):
all those years ago, and shewants him to know that she's in love
with him, like she knows it'sher turn that she has to to say
it first now and for and youcan see for him it was like,
oh man, like I'm in heavennow, yes, right, redemption there's
another redemption there for her, yes, right, and for him. And

(58:15):
you know, so it's always goingto be slower than some people want,
right, but in the slow burn, right, but but the but I
still adhere to the idea that thejourney is more important than the destination.
So I will tell you for asaying quick because the chat is going I

(58:36):
mean, it's going crazy. Theyagree they felt that that there's a lot
of redemption even in her in thatscene and that's yes, it's going going
so fast. I guess I wantBrian to hear this, says, I
agree. They needed to take itat this pace. Elizabeth monologue was perfect.
Joanna says, so much was redeemedin that scene. I love it.

(58:59):
I love the please keep talking,I love I want I want to
I wanted to say these the rymes, so you just say, cause he
can hear Fro himself. Oh,here we go, I canna scroll up.
Okay. Uh, she basically sether vows to him. Someone says
basically in that speech. Holly saysthat speech was so heart touching. Sonny
says, I've always felt it wasunfair to expect you to move on perfectly

(59:22):
after her husband's death. The Lukingstory makes sense, even though I love
Nathan. Elizabeth suddy, I'll giveyou points on that, but I like
that. Let's see. Minnie says, all steps and season in episode eleven
to their first kisses went well andfitted together. The last four minutes of
that episode were done so well.Elizabeth's monologue, oh my heart, he

(59:46):
was Holly says, he was quiet, and she said something responds and a
kiss. Mary. Oh that speechwas so hard. So everyone it's great.
And Dahlia says, I love theslow burn. We only get courtship
phase once. Let's savor it,right. So I'm just saying, I
want you to know that chat. The one hundred and nineteen people who are

(01:00:07):
I mean, it's a record forme on a on a Monday night watching
US they're saying that they agree withyou, and then and the shows turn
well, you know, here, here's the thing. It took Jack and
Elizabeth five years to get to right, five seasons, so uh, as
far as I'm concerned, even thoughthere's been some on again, off again

(01:00:34):
mutual affection between Elizabeth and Nathan, right mistimed usually because of circumstances, they're
just now starting tonight, right right, that first kiss, that first kiss,
this last last episode, you know, open the floodgates in in the

(01:00:55):
in the season finale of for kissing, which is great. But all I'm
saying is that they're they're just nowstarting, and they need to get it
right. They need to get itright, and and so the chase,
the journey is just as important asthe altar. Yes. And also something

(01:01:15):
you guys, I'll think you justsaying we're the best. I love you
guys too. I don't thank youvery much. The thing that you guys
did really well too, is thatNathan is not the same Mount Tea as
Jack. That's right, that's right. The whole of him personality. I
love his I love his kind ofquirkiness and his and his and his uh
and his humor and his awkwardness, but he turns it on what he needs.

(01:01:42):
That what he needs to be involvedin something, he is right there,
ready to do it. He isnot Jack. I like that there
are two very separate characters. AndI have to say, all three men
you really did give us when Lucasincluded very three, very different gentlemen.
I see why she had links forall of them. Yes, one hundred
percent. And and uh, youknow he was slow as molasses in January.

(01:02:07):
Well he any of us would be, any of us would be if
we had later put our hearts onour sight. He did right, got
it and got it, got itrejected, so that it was a necessary
slow burn, and it's not.The slow burn is not over. Yes,

(01:02:28):
yeah, they're all. Don't makethem wait too long. Then if
family stories aren't dreaming, I lovethat. I love that. No,
and so no, yes, thething but no, but Nathan, literally
I'm glad you guys gave him theline to say that. He's like,
of course, I guess after whathappened. I just I wasn't going it
was it's up to her, andit really was kind of up to her.
And I think that whole kidnapping, the hostage experience, which was it?

(01:02:49):
And so I said earlier, Iloved the whole stuff, and he
jumped off. I said that waskind of fun. He kind of looked
at each other and I said, this season, you guys did things we've
never seen before. It was kindof fun, and he jumped off.
It's just it is. And uhDia says yes to Nathan and Jack being
so different. As a marine wife, I can attest to the fact that
not everyone in uniform is the samegood. That's very very that's very true.

(01:03:09):
And Brian brings up Bryan Sidebrian Side, I know who you are,
Hi, Brian. They also havechildren to consider getting it right. I
love that also as a person who'sdated while having children, you have to
have that you have to do.And we just tell Jack, let me
talk a little Jack, you know, let me tell you. I love
that. You have to consider thekids that they're part of this. You
have to consider the kids. Gladthat they you guys show to remember that

(01:03:35):
that's the thing. Family there. We need to get right. We need
to get right right, you getright. Each lovedness's life has made her
grow in different ways. I agreewith that c W one one one twenty
one's c W one five. Thankyou, Brian for the wonderful season.
I've overjoyed at the complexity of veryCharager character. It kept me in thrall

(01:04:00):
start to finish as we kind ofwrapped this up because I can talk to
you forever, but I want tothank you for your time for coming on
as usual. You are You're thebest, Braad. You know that,
you know I love you the best. It's a pleasure always. I do
want to end on a on anote that I want to give a mention
to because I don't know what thestatus is of Maybe yeah, might say
you brought her back and she's wonderful. We saw her grown up, Yes,

(01:04:24):
and her see again Henry Gawan seeagain that all those scenes and how
how beautiful that was done. Butin real life, this strategy that happened
that we're all, you know,we're giving love and light. I did
a prayer on my show not toolong ago about it. I mean I
did that, but any just anythingyou want to say about that, Yeah,

(01:04:44):
you know it's uh that this isyou know what a TV show or
a movie or whatever is full ofhuman beings, right, we're all they're
all human beings, and they're they'redifferent human beings than the characters they play
sometimes, and so they go throughchallenges in life. Whether you know it,

(01:05:12):
you know any of it, itcould happen to any of us,
like like an accident happens, right, or something out of the blue takes
place, and this poor young ladyfell five stories. It's just it's just
heartbreaking. We love her, We'rerooting for her, We're praying for her.
We hear little bits and pieces. We don't know much more than what

(01:05:36):
her mom, you know, shareson their on their on their on their
pages, but we do believe she'smaking progress. And she's had to undergo
three eleven hour surgeries, is myunderstanding, just unbelievable game changer for her.

(01:06:00):
We're praying for for her, andwe want her to, you know,
have life and health and and getback everything that she she's lost.
We you know, it's it's justsad. I mean, we we we
we lost. Uh, we've lostactors in the past, ye right,

(01:06:25):
and Logan Logan Williams passed away afew years ago, and he was he
dates back to the original season aswell. When when when Mamie was there
as well, and so you know, it's it's heartbreaking for us to to
see this happen for life, tobeat people up like this, and we
just pray for him, and uh, you know, it just goes to

(01:06:47):
show all of us how fragile itis. So hug your hug your loved
ones. Man, keep keep huggingon him, love on him, uh
every day, let him know youlove them. That's about the most information
I could share at this point. And folks, I'm telling you, they

(01:07:08):
totally say goodbye to my mother lastyear. They said, say goodbye to
her. She may not make it. And my mother is living and walking
and talking and getting on my nervesas usual she does. I say that
she laught when I say that.So miracles can happen. Yes, they
happen every day, right, Brian, They happen every day. They do,

(01:07:28):
they do, and God uses allkinds of things as miracles. In
fact, it uses us to bemiracles for other people. Thank you,
Brian for being on my show again. Thank you, Thank you. James.
You can count on me being onyour dance card for next year or
two. So season twelve, youguys see the twelve and it's coming.

on it, I'll put out avideo. I react to all kind of
stuff. So please continue to watchmy shows, watch my after shows.

is just is just what we needis I always say, I have been

will. Well, we'll be whenwe start filming in two weeks see twelve
