that I can get behind as well as the ones
that just brew me. So buckle up, strap in, because
it's about to go down.
Speaker 2 (00:25):
It's time, It's time. It's Within Brimskin time number three
thirty one, Salem. Fun. I've got my redheaded step child,
mister Alex Daponte. That's me, and my gorgeous wife, Danielle.
That's me, and we just celebrated our sixteenth wedding anniversary.
Yes we did out in Salem.
Speaker 3 (00:45):
And congratulations guys.
Speaker 2 (00:47):
You weren't You were in here to cheer. That was
messed up.
Speaker 3 (00:52):
I was not. I did call you guys, though, I
did make sure that I called you guys during your anniversary.
Yeah you.
Speaker 2 (01:02):
Spent you spent a lot of the anniversary calling us
and uh.
Speaker 3 (01:07):
Yeah, funny enough, No, no, no, only for one only
for one day. Only for one day. Oh wait, wait.
Speaker 4 (01:16):
On the actual weir, it spanned multiple days. But you
know what, it's really fun. I told the kids that, honestly,
I did speak to each of them, you know, multiple
times throughout, but you know, like like minimal and if
I took all three kids and added up all of
the time I spent speaking to them, I spoke to
you like a good ten times more than I spoked.
Speaker 3 (01:39):
What can I I am so needy, I'm so needy.
I'm sorry.
Speaker 4 (01:46):
I was like, yeah, it's like having you know, it's
like our extra kid.
Speaker 3 (01:49):
So how is the anniversary? Though I didn't actually get
to hear, I didn't actually on the on our phone call,
the topic of how you guys were doing did not
come up.
Speaker 4 (02:01):
It was how you were doing?
Speaker 3 (02:03):
To be complete, How was the anniversary?
Speaker 2 (02:08):
It was good. We had fun. It was a nice time.
What do you call it? A you know, we debated
not going, you know, to sail them on our anniversary
this year, you know, for for a hot minute, and
then we decided, all right, well we'll still do it again.
And it was nice. We had a nice time. We
got to see a lot of our friends again, you know,
and we did a bunch of things that we hadn't
(02:28):
done prior. We were going to go to the Hammond Castle,
which would have been really really fun, but the weather
being a a nor'easter. We really didn't want to take
the chance. Between that and my knees, it would have
been a really bad combination.
Speaker 4 (02:43):
So well, Friday we had got in you know, kind
of on the later side. Saturday ended up being really nice.
It was just you know, like that Sunday into Monday
where the nor'easter was hitting and the weather was kind
of up in the air and the rain was pouring
its Yeah, the wind was picking up like you could tell,
and it was like, wow.
Speaker 3 (03:03):
The wind was crazy on Monday.
Speaker 2 (03:05):
Well it was. It was. Yeah, it was a little messy.
Speaker 5 (03:09):
It wasn't awful, but nobody the fact of all of
the walking it would take at the castle and any
kind of like cobblestones and things, you know when it's
wet and windy and storming, like not necessarily a good combo.
Speaker 2 (03:20):
And they set us up. They set up the branches.
Speaker 4 (03:26):
Yeah, we saw when we came back there was a
bunch of down branches by us.
Speaker 3 (03:31):
Yeah, there was. There, absolutely was.
Speaker 2 (03:33):
Well they did at the castle, set us up, and
they you know, and I said to them, look, do
you mind if we take a rain check just in case,
you know, we can't make it over there. Because of this,
that and the next thing, and they were like absolutely, so,
you know, they were very gracious, they were really nice
and what do you call We're going to go in
another time which will which will be great, and but
we did do a bunch of things that were, you know,
(03:55):
different this time, which we were awesome before that though.
Let me just mentioned within Brimskin brought to you by
Manitail Hairdcare Products discovered the secret paid dynamic high quality
audio technology, the right product for everything you need. And
Zoom North America, the best podcasting equipment in the world.
Speaker 3 (04:13):
In the world, world, world, World.
Speaker 2 (04:15):
I don't have it on board.
Speaker 3 (04:18):
That button should be on there, is it not?
Speaker 2 (04:19):
No, it doesn't work on this one, remember, because they
touched it and something went wrong. And now I don't have.
Speaker 3 (04:26):
A shame.
Speaker 2 (04:27):
I'm using the other the other board.
Speaker 4 (04:29):
We all did it, so yeah, you did it.
Speaker 2 (04:31):
You did it. It's okay.
Speaker 3 (04:32):
Wait wait a second, what did that not play?
Speaker 2 (04:36):
What? No? I didn't hear anything.
Speaker 3 (04:38):
It didn't play. Oh man, normally I can it's right here.
I can see it on your end. Yeah, but you
know anyway, Yes, So for those of you who haven't
picked up yet, I am coming in via phone. So
that is an interesting this will be an interesting episode.
Speaker 2 (04:55):
I think, yeah, yeah, I I really do really do
like the fact that what do you call it? Uh?
You know, we got to do a bunch of different
things this time out in Salem. The what do you
call The one thing that we we did, uh, which
was which was really really cool is we'd never gone
(05:18):
to turn our Seafood and it's one of the places
we've wanted to go to for a long time, but
we just we just never connected, which was.
Speaker 4 (05:25):
We have walked past it, stood outside of it like
every year that we've ever gone, because every tour we've
ever been on, every night tour and whatever, they always
you know, stop over there to talk about the history
of it and everything thing, but we've never actually gone
inside and we've never eaten there. So we got to
do that. We had a really great Yeah, I'm really
(05:47):
glad we went missing out.
Speaker 2 (05:51):
It was it was really really phenomenal.
Speaker 3 (05:53):
That is what did you guys eat?
Speaker 2 (05:55):
What did you I had the lobster pie, right, I
had the sword fish and you had the sword fish.
We had a whole bunch of other delicious goodies.
Speaker 4 (06:02):
We had tunanacho.
Speaker 2 (06:03):
Oh my God, so good. Oh the souper my.
Speaker 4 (06:07):
Chowder, and the lobster.
Speaker 2 (06:08):
Lobster bisk was so buttery and delicious. It's just it
just melted on my lips and then my tongue. Every
little taste bud was just bursting with flavor.
Speaker 4 (06:18):
Everything was ridiculous.
Speaker 2 (06:19):
Really really good. Now I want to I just want to.
I want to let everybody know again, going into Salem
during spooky season is not necessarily what you want to do,
you know what I mean?
Speaker 4 (06:31):
People, Well, no, I feel like you have to have
an idea when you go. You have to know what
you're getting into.
Speaker 2 (06:39):
You have to.
Speaker 4 (06:41):
But it's not like this is a town. It is
a real place, like people actually live there. And yes,
I understand that, like, Okay, we're coming in for spooky season.
It's October for Halloween, and everyone's excited. But you do
have to understand that you're not the only person who's
having this idea of let's go to Salem. There's going
(07:01):
to be a million other people. No, I know, right,
that's the thing. And people come in thinking like, I
don't know if they think they're just so you know,
unique in the idea of hey, let's go check out
Salem during October. But it's not a unique idea. So
you will be there with about a million other folks.
There's going to be lines for everything, whether it's the restaurants,
(07:23):
the stores, the bathrooms they're you know, the hotels. Like
everything books up quickly. You need reservations and you need
to plan ahead, especially for attractions the museums. You know
a lot of stuff sells out and people end up
you know, complaining and being disappointed. But that's really uh,
you know, on their end for not being prepared and
not really researching or looking into it, uh before heading
(07:46):
out on these trips.
Speaker 2 (07:47):
So and if you're going to do this, you could
check out the Ultimate Guide to Salem on my official
websitep pop.
Speaker 4 (07:54):
Yeah, check out our blog.
Speaker 3 (07:57):
But you know, it was so nice to go during
the off sea and I absolutely enjoyed it so much.
There was not those long lines that Danielle had been
talking about, and it was just such a nice experience. Obviously,
it was still busy. It's Salem. It's still like a
touristy area and people definitely still go for the attractions,
(08:19):
but it was awesome to be able to experience the
town not in October when there's a bajillion people there.
Speaker 4 (08:27):
Yeah, people should honestly yeah, no, you know, people should
honestly check it out year round.
Speaker 3 (08:33):
Yeah, you know, people people are are.
Speaker 2 (08:39):
People should absolutely go there, you know, look to go
once during spooky season, that's one thing, you know what
I mean. But understand where you're going and what's happening,
and understand that the lines are going to be in
every single doorway and it's going to be near impossible
and into everything that you want to see. So you
want to plan ahead. And you also, you know, not
everybody has the luck of knowing you know, everybody in town,
(09:01):
you know what I mean, And.
Speaker 4 (09:04):
There's so much to see and do even that you know,
coming during a quieter time might suit you better because
you might be able to you know, bang out hitting up. However,
many different places to go to, you know, to spend
more time. Let's say at PEM you know, to walk
around as am and enjoy, you know, to go to
(09:24):
the Friendship, to go to like the House of Seven Gables,
you know, and really go on these tours you know,
the historical side or even you know again the night
tours and walk around for you know, some kind of
you know, more of a spooky vibe type of thing.
Speaker 2 (09:38):
And also if you are going in during spooky season
and say, you go, okay, well, I really want to
go to like Turner Seafood, like we just went to
this time. But we we you know, there's no reservations available,
there's nothing left. We can't get in. If you just
go about a half an hour away. They have two
other locations, three if you count their other restaurant where
it's only about a half an hour away and you
(09:59):
can we'll get a taste of Turners and you know,
and and have a good dinner and uh, you know
what I mean, you just have to go a little
bit further. But you know, it's it's a positive because
you're just taking a little bit away, a trip away
from the center of Salem and you just go in
to town away and you're getting the same the same experience,
you know what I mean. Get out of town. Get
the hell out of town, you know, get out of town.
(10:21):
It's it's you don't need to stay in Salem for
every every breath of your trip there. And trust me,
it'll feel nice to get away and not have to
wait on such a long.
Speaker 4 (10:30):
Line we'll not be stuck in so many crowds and
stuck in so many grass. I think people also forget
the Salem. Salem might be you know, smaller size wise,
but there are plenty of things to see also on
the whole outskirts of the area, and I think people
forget that and just kind of stay at like the
very main center, you know, several streets in and just
(10:52):
kind of focus on those, and there's so many other
things again to see and do, right, all kinds of
stuff to check out. There's so many rush there are
so many museums, so many attractions, so many you know,
stores and small businesses that you know, again, any any
time of year is beautiful in Salem.
Speaker 2 (11:12):
Right, why don't we do this? Oh wait, yeah, no,
we're over. Let's take a quick break and we'll be

You're listening to Within Brimskin with Grimstone.
Speaker 2 (14:49):
What's up?
Speaker 4 (14:49):
What's up?
Speaker 3 (14:50):
Everybody? We're back with within Brimskin. Hello, Hello, Hello, So.
Speaker 2 (14:57):
What do you call it? You know, you know, you know,
it's it's crazy because people again they don't they don't understand,
you know, how Salem works. And again, like you had mentioned,
it's almost it's almost as incredible when you're going on
off season because at least you get to get into things,
you don't have to sit and wait on huge long lines.
(15:19):
And like Danielle said, it is it is a real town.
It's real businesses with real people and they're there all
year round, so you know what I mean, why why
sit in get it? Why just because it's October.
Speaker 4 (15:31):
Well, look, and I understand, I absolutely, you know, like
one hundred and ten percent understand the you know, the
draw in coming in October. And you know that's why
there are people who are now coming you know, September
because it's like on the eve of or November because
it's just you know, past and but you do have
to remember these people that are working at these businesses
(15:53):
and restaurants and everything. They are exhausted. They are doing this,
you know, thirty one days it's of October, right, all
thirty one days of October, from the time when they
opened to the time that they close, you know, and
they're they're busy and crazy. So be polite, have your
best manners, be understanding, you know, and enjoy while you're there.
Speaker 2 (16:18):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (16:18):
Yeah, also dum steal like so much the amount of people.
I literally while we were in one of the stores.
While we were there, I watched a gentleman you know
who looks okay, I watched a scumbag.
Speaker 2 (16:35):
Is that? Yeah, that's where I could.
Speaker 4 (16:37):
I watched you were outside, we're outside of the store,
and it was this very small store and it was
kind of very quickly. I watched this scumbag who looked
very suspicious start behaving suspiciously. And I know everybody in Salem,
all the businesses, I know, they all have cameras. I
know everyone posts on their Instagram when they have somebody,
(16:57):
and everyone shares it around. Oh my god, you know,
to be like, hey, be on the lookout for, you know,
for this guy or girl. And he was you know,
touching some things and fingering around and whatever, and I
was like, oh my god, tell me this guy is
about to do this. And he grabbed a handful and
he's holding it and turned around and oh his friends
(17:19):
look like they're you know, millan about and about to leave.
So he caught up with them, and the girl at
the door, you know, is not noticing. So I'm quickly
heading over to her to be like, hey, this guy,
and I did let her know, so she said, uh,
that's okay. The spirit guides will handle him. And so again,
(17:42):
you know, but they are used to it, but they
shouldn't have to be. You know, this this behavior is
disgusting and I know it goes on, and I know
it's every October and I know, you know, again the
businesses post about it and you know it's going to
happen and everything, but the fact that I saw it
live and in person was just it. It irked me
(18:03):
so badly.
Speaker 2 (18:03):
This small business, you know, it's small business, and they
you know, and especially during this time of the year,
they need this time of the year to survive for
the rest of the year because everybody comes in the
one two, three months. Yeah, you know, how how can
you do you know, you don't. You don't do that
to small business. Now, that's just not cool. And you know,
at the end of the day, they're lucky that I
wasn't in there, because of course it's never what I'm
(18:25):
there or watching.
Speaker 4 (18:27):
Like I said, you were outside, you know, had I
been you know, had it been more than just a
moment like when it happened, like it kind of felt
slow motion ish, but you know, had it actually taken
longer than it did. I honestly thought about like messaging
you quick while you're outside, just so you would come in,
(18:47):
you know, and then you're kind of the door.
Speaker 2 (18:50):
Right like I would have blocked the door.
Speaker 4 (18:52):
Let's shake him down the door. I know, I know
that businesses have business turns and whatever. I know, like
in places like you know, larger corporations that the workers
are never supposed to confront somebody. I know, I know
that that's the thing. I know, but you know what,
so I was like, hey, I get it. You know,
(19:14):
she didn't make any kind of a fuss about it,
and she's like, yep, the spirit guides will get him,
you know. And I was like all right, you know,
but I just I you know, I had to say
something for sure because I was not going to.
Speaker 3 (19:25):
Go I was.
Speaker 4 (19:27):
I think I was more like angry about it than that.
Speaker 3 (19:30):
She was no more upset than the actual or the
actual employee.
Speaker 4 (19:35):
I mean, you know what, she's probably like so jaded
about it because I'm sure she sees it, you know,
throughout October. Absolutely, but yeah it's still you know, it
was like a see something, say something moment.
Speaker 3 (19:48):
So of course, absolutely, but yeah.
Speaker 4 (19:55):
Like I said, I mean, look, Salem is a beautiful city.
There is you know, a side from like the whole,
like witchy aspect or spooky aspect or like you know,
haunted and you know, paranormal aspect. There's so much history
in general, you know, so I definitely feel like coming in.
(20:16):
We've we've come in the winter and it was it
was nice to walk around. We've come, you know, like,
look how beautiful it looks in the spring. Look, you know, yeah,
in the fall obviously it's beautiful. So it's you know,
it's it's beautiful in any season.
Speaker 2 (20:31):
Talking about history, what do you call it? Reds is
celebrating their eightieth year in business there and there's only
been four four families that have owned it in.
Speaker 4 (20:42):
The last eighty high time that they've been.
Speaker 2 (20:44):
Isn't that insane?
Speaker 3 (20:46):
That is insane.
Speaker 2 (20:47):
That's it's insane. So we we got to spend some
time with with Kelly over there. We didn't get to
seek him, but we spent time with Kelly, you know,
for a couple of days. And I actually did something
with them for their for their coffee. They have some
new new coffee stuff going on over there. So we're
gonna put something together for social media and put that
up for them, and uh, you know, just to show
(21:07):
them some love because you know, we love Reds. Reds
is like family. You guys met them over at Reds.
Speaker 3 (21:13):
Yes, yeah, yeah, I remember, I remember going there. I
remember eating breakfast. Breakfast was so good. I wish I
could have taken the food home my car.
Speaker 2 (21:21):
Oh god, he had the pancakes a giant There were
giant pancakes.
Speaker 3 (21:27):
Yeah. I wanted to take them back so bad, but
like we would have had to walk them back, and
I didn't want to walk back to where we were
staying and certainly not.
Speaker 4 (21:36):
Eating after those pancakes. I'm sure you want to just
take them up.
Speaker 3 (21:41):
We walked around, Megan and I walked around.
Speaker 4 (21:44):
Yeah, yeah, there you go.
Speaker 2 (21:46):
So what do you call it? When we were with
what do you call we went to stop to see Bora.
You did meet Bora when we were there?
Speaker 3 (21:54):
I forgot right, Yes, actually like to visit us, I believe.
Speaker 4 (22:01):
Yes, yes, yes, I say probably that sounds about right.
She loves to go to Reds.
Speaker 2 (22:06):
Yeah, so we were. We were hanging out for just
a couple of minutes because it was about to start raining.
So when that happens, Bora leaves the street, and uh
so we ran over to to catch you know, Bora
before you know, she left. So we're chatting, chatting, and
this woman comes over and she's like, she goes, I'm
(22:29):
here celebrating.
Speaker 4 (22:31):
She wanted to take a picture.
Speaker 2 (22:32):
I take a picture with you because I'm here celebrating,
and Bory was like, yeah, of course. So bor was like,
so what do you know where you're from and what
you know? What did you do? When she goes, I'm
from Kentucky and I'm here celebrating, and we're like, well,
what are you celebrating? I'm celebrating my divorce?
Speaker 10 (22:49):
So yeah, you sharing that congratulations girl? You go, okay, listen,
why should she be miserable?
Speaker 2 (22:59):
Right?
Speaker 4 (22:59):
That is the mean me that means her for her,
she went off and she's having some kind of great
trip to go celebrate her divorce.
Speaker 2 (23:07):
Good for her, so Bora.
Speaker 3 (23:11):
My life husband, So.
Speaker 2 (23:14):
So Bora says her. He goes, she goes, uh you know,
she goes, why, uh you know what happened is it's
you know, I'm you know, I guess you know what
happened that that you guys getting divorced.
Speaker 3 (23:25):
So she goes, godmother offer.
Speaker 2 (23:27):
He was in jailed the entire time.
Speaker 3 (23:30):
He didn't help pay for the kids. He was a
lazy piece of crap. He just trigged beers all day.
I'm done with him. I'm glad to get rid of him.
Speaker 4 (23:40):
No, she was like, oh my god, that she found
out he was cheating.
Speaker 6 (23:46):
Oh the worst.
Speaker 4 (23:48):
Yes, and you know who he was cheating with, a man,
her mother, her mother.
Speaker 2 (23:55):
Oh, and she says this loudly, wait to the whole street.
Speaker 4 (24:04):
We could all wait.
Speaker 3 (24:06):
We need to get that guy on mill Man, We
need to get him on mil.
Speaker 4 (24:16):
I wish I could have been recording this moment, like
this entire interaction, just because Bora is like the loudest
person on Essex, constantly like you, as long as Bora
is out there, you could hear that voice echoing down
the street, up and down both ways, no matter what
(24:37):
you know, what day, what time of day, or whatever.
Bora was speechless.
Speaker 2 (24:42):
The look both of your faces, the looks both your faces.
Speaker 4 (24:47):
You just like froze, like like you were processing. It
was like an internal error, you know, like it was suffering.
Nobody had anything to say. Everyone's faces just were like,
are you kidding me?
Speaker 3 (24:59):
I would look right at that woman and being like
my ex did that too, Oh my god, god.
Speaker 4 (25:07):
Joking, you know, joking that It took like a good
couple of minutes for them to bounce back and bor
Her to even speak again. Like the fact that they
were both so baffled and speechless. Had me hysterical.
Speaker 2 (25:22):
Because you just you just stopped two of us from
talking and laid something like that down on us. It's like,
oh my god, but I mean that's.
Speaker 3 (25:32):
For your table, and she just she just whipped it
out right on your table. Did Yeah, she did the
conversation equivalent of just literally pulling her zipper down and
just slapping her meat right on your table and just
being like, what do you guys think to that? Pretty much.
Speaker 2 (25:52):
Down there?
Speaker 4 (25:53):
Pretty much though, But man, I I just it was
It was definitely a stunner that we were not We
were not expecting that, none of us prepared for that.
Speaker 3 (26:05):
I gotta say, I am in love with that story.
Speaker 4 (26:10):
Can you can you imagine like we just well, meanwhile,
we're at that like alleyway and the people waiting for
that one store that line through there, and the people
in the line are looking like, what.
Speaker 2 (26:23):
What the hell just happened here?
Speaker 4 (26:25):
It's just such a moment that you.
Speaker 3 (26:28):

so everybody knows, I don't know if I mentioned it
last week. I think I might have just gotten it
in but but I don't remember. But I just got
my the silver Brimstone, the custom ring from us Aramata,
and it's unbelievably cool. It's so bad ass.
Speaker 4 (29:55):
Oh yeah, you're not here to see You're.
Speaker 2 (29:57):
Not here to see it?
Speaker 4 (30:00):
Can say?
Speaker 2 (30:00):
Yeah, so you can. You can see it on my
social media. It's on It's on my Instagram page. This
is the story I put up, not a story of
reel that I put up and also a new reel
just ball. I'm talking about Instagram. There's a creepy cooking
with Helga on there right now. It just went up,
So if you guys want to take a look at that.
(30:21):
It's hilarious. Danielle gets credit to see it, and y'all
gets credit because she uh, she did the filming as
if she were Helga in the hallway. And I'm not
going to give you any more than that. You're gonna
have to watch it. But you know, because we saw
we filmed it in two separate, two separate areas, so
I was in I was in Maryland at the time, and.
Speaker 4 (30:40):
And yes, I did the filming on our end and
that was that was a lot of fun.
Speaker 2 (30:44):
Yeah, so that was a fun one.
Speaker 4 (30:47):
We can talk about that one more next week after
people watch it.
Speaker 3 (30:49):
Yeah, yeah, so yeah, actually when I'm actually there in studio.
Speaker 2 (30:53):
Yes, so good to go check that out. But anyway,
uh Asa at Akromata there, we're doing a limited addition
from the way it looks, a limited edition of the
heavy silver ring that is like a duplicate of mine,
and it's going to be in a limited run over
(31:14):
at Velvet and Vain and Salem. So if anybody is
interested in the Brimstone Skull full silver, it's a heavy, heavy,
beautifully handcrafted ring of my skull logo. It's a really
really nice work. So that's going to be available very
shortly at Velvet and Vain and Salem. You know, it's
(31:37):
the sister store of Vampfangs, so keep that keep that
in your minds and I will make sure that it
goes out on social when it's when it's time. And yeah, anyways,
so what else did we do in Salem? We did
the high level right high level sea food. Is that
what it's called? No, Okay, I can't believe I'm screwing
(31:58):
that up. Sea level, sea level seafood, sea level, sea level,
sea level. I can't believe we're blanking out on that.
I'm tired, all right, I'm I slept for nine hours finally,
and I was still tired. Sea level Oyster Bar is
what it is. Yes, So we we ate there. They're
actually the sister restaurant to Fins, And that was a
(32:21):
lot of fun. They were really good. We met these
two women who were in from Illinois, and.
Speaker 4 (32:26):
Uh and they were a good time.
Speaker 2 (32:28):
They were a good time. They were fun. We went
up having we made we made some new friends.
Speaker 4 (32:31):
It was fun, some good chats while we weathered the
nor'easter and we watched the water because it's right on
the water there over down by the wharf, and uh, yeah,
it was good.
Speaker 2 (32:46):
It was good. The we we saw friends at covin
what do you call it? Who would you call. They
they had expanded their store. We finally got to see
the new expansion.
Speaker 4 (32:55):
Yes, was gorgeous, absolutely beautiful now that it was completed,
because last time we saw it when they were still
doing construction.
Speaker 2 (33:02):
Yeah. Yeah, there was a lot of people we didn't
see though this time, Alex, we didn't we like really
we saw some new places that were pretty interesting. Well
we'll put them in the blog. But for the most part,
I mean we we kind of.
Speaker 4 (33:15):
We did a little friend tour, you know, stop on
a little bit, nothing crazy though, hang a little you know,
with all our friends.
Speaker 3 (33:22):
Sometimes you need that on a vacation, you just need
to visit. It was it was like me easy hang
out and yeah exactly, yeah you did?
Speaker 2 (33:30):
Did I? I sent you to James right, did you go? No?
Meg went with me because you didn't go right to
the Monster Museum.
Speaker 4 (33:38):
Count Yeah, I was in.
Speaker 3 (33:42):
When we were in Salem, I was having car issues,
so I needed to get I needed a day to
get all that stuff sorted out so that way I
could get my car home. So you toured Meg around
for like a day in Salem, well.
Speaker 2 (33:52):
Not the whole day, because I had things to do,
which is why I was there. But yeah, but I
took it to a couple of things. Yeah, I was
all right, I have to put you on the fast track.
So yeah, exactly, but you know, it was it was, uh,
it was all in all. It was a good time.
You know. We got to do a lot of really
fun things as usual. And oh we stayed over at
(34:13):
the coach House, which is nice. Was nice, you know
in uh in October to actually beat the coach House
was different and that was fun.
Speaker 4 (34:20):
And to be there during the northeaster was just, I
don't know, it was so beautiful, like just with the
rain falling and you know, hitting against the windows there.
You enjoyed that I did, I really did.
Speaker 6 (34:35):
I did not.
Speaker 3 (34:41):
For those of you that don't know, uh, just check
out the Foxy episode I was gonna find it. Yeah,
you'll find out why I am calling from a phone
this week rather than being in the studio. Hint, hint,
nudge nudge.
Speaker 4 (34:56):
Definitely don't miss the Foxy episode this week. Find out
alex is calling in. Find out all of his woes.
Speaker 3 (35:04):
Should because of Mexico. I swear, I got Mexico is
the reason why I'm not there. I got I got cursed.
Speaker 2 (35:10):
Listen You've been cursed with this stuff your whole life.
If anything, it should have reversed the curse.
Speaker 3 (35:16):
Yeah, well it seems to it seems to just ramp
it up.
Speaker 2 (35:19):
What what happened? What happened? Well, I said to Danielle,
I said, well, it's I I guess it was due
to happen sometimes soon, because it's been a minute since
you've had any kind of issues. Knock on wood, you
know you you you know for a while doing pretty well.
Speaker 3 (35:32):
I'm done with issues for a while.
Speaker 2 (35:34):
Okay, So I thought that I thought that the Fiat
should have been ready by now.
Speaker 3 (35:40):
Fiat will actually uh supposedly be ready. The part is
coming in this week, so that's good, which means we'll
probably have the car by next week. Again, so he
needed to source a new part because the part that
originally came in actually looked worse than the part that
was already in your car, So he sent that back,
had to get the money back for that, and then
had to purchase a new part. But tell me that
(36:02):
the part is supposedly coming in sometime this week, and
then once that part's in, it should be pretty easy
to actually put in Fiat. So which is definitely good
because I don't.
Speaker 2 (36:14):
Have my car right now right, well, you're getting right.
Speaker 3 (36:19):
And the firestone hooked me up. They should be uh
fixing my car that I did all that damage to.
Speaker 2 (36:26):
Uh them, tell them that, Well, we'll have done the
shout outs for them on air and.
Speaker 3 (36:32):
Uh yeah, I don't know if that's gonna work. Yeah.
I already kind of got the friend and family price,
but uh yeah, so I should have my car back tomorrow, hopefully.
I mean the airbags are still on the side there,
They're still gonna be there.
Speaker 2 (36:47):
But now so you have, did you? So they fixed
the bless you, They fixed the the front end and
they also put new tires on. Is that why the
cost is so high? Uh?
Speaker 3 (36:59):
Cost is so high because I.
Speaker 4 (37:03):
Wheels on the one wheel with.
Speaker 3 (37:05):
That severe Yeah, that entire area completely screwed. How about
we talk about something lighter. How about we talk about
my Mexico trip, which was actually amazing and.
Speaker 2 (37:13):
Not absolutely did you even get carried away by some guy?
Speaker 3 (37:17):
I did not get carried away by from guys. So
the first the first and second day were wonderful. Got
very drunk, drink a lot of margarita.
Speaker 4 (37:24):
I was drinks totally second.
Speaker 3 (37:28):
The second day, there was a proposal, not my proposal,
but Meg's sister got proposed to and she recorded. She
recorded the whole thing and it was wonderful and the fiance,
the guy, he ran into the ocean and accidentally drank
a lot of the water and he was sick the
rest of the trip. Oh no, oh no, oh, yeah.
Speaker 4 (37:51):
Congrats to her sister, but also, oh that is that is.
Speaker 3 (37:59):
But I So then me and Meg kind of calmed
down for the next day because the following days we
had really long plans. So I we were going to
be on a boat and we were going to swim
in a reef with tropical fish. I got to do
the swimming. Meg gets nauseous and so she did not
(38:19):
fare the boat well and so she ended up leaving
the boat mid boat ride. And uh, that's okay.
Speaker 2 (38:28):
How does that work?
Speaker 4 (38:28):
Does she jump overboard?
Speaker 3 (38:30):
Like well, there was a crew that in emergency situations,
could you know your way back the shore?
Speaker 4 (38:41):
The David Hasselhoff Express back.
Speaker 3 (38:45):
To shore essentially kind of yeah, actually, you know this,
this really strong dude hopped in the water with his
little paddle boat and he paddled her all the way
back to shore.
Speaker 2 (38:56):
So Meg got carried this time.
Speaker 3 (39:00):
Yeah, Meg got carried this time. Sort of fun fact,
all of us got sick on the boat except for
like two people because all of us ended up drinking
some of the sea water by actually and while we
were snorre goling. But I would not trade that for
the world because swimming with the tropical fish was absolutely incredible.
It was one of my favorite things that I've ever
done in my life.
Speaker 4 (39:22):
I bet, and I know how you feel about like
your fish tank and stuff.
Speaker 3 (39:25):
So oh it was incredible, absolutely incredible. And then the
next day was Chitsanita. For those that don't know, Chita
is one of the Seven Wonders of the World. It
is a Mayan city that was pretty recently discovered. It
is very cool. It has pyramids, not the pyramids that
you think of in Egypt, but they are pyramid shaped.
(39:47):
They have flat tops, and they have temples at the top.
There was a bunch of different ruins of a bunch
of different areas. If you guys have ever seen the movie,
and I'm totally gonna butcher butcher this because I haven't
seen the movie. I think it's called like a poc
apocup Apocalypto, A pocket, A pocket do boat.
Speaker 6 (40:05):
Something like that.
Speaker 3 (40:08):
Hey, I know I'm screwing it up, but it started.
It's something along the lines of that Apocalypto, I think.
And uh, there's a couple scenes in the movie that
holds true to the actual city. So one of them,
a famous one, is like they they sever the heads
of their prisoners and their captives and they roll them
(40:30):
down the temple and then once they're rolled down the stairs,
they put them on a steak and then they put
the steak on a wall with all the other severed heads.
And I got to see the wall with the carvings
of the skulls skeward and that's where they actually had those.
So that was it's very creepy, it's very morbid, but man,
(40:53):
that's the type of stuff.
Speaker 6 (40:54):
That I love.
Speaker 3 (40:55):
So that was very cool to see. And then did
you go.
Speaker 2 (41:01):
To the did you go to the what is it
the I can't remember what it was, what it's called,
but it's the whole. Is that what it is? All
the skulls and the bodies and everything is No.
Speaker 3 (41:12):
That's the So the skull they had like not a tomb,
but they had burial sites that weren't very big, and
I it was hard to read what everything was about.
I'm not gonna lie. I burned in the sun and
I was having a hard time just like literally looking
at things because of how bright the sunlight is. I
(41:34):
have learned on this trip that I have a very
severe light sensitivity. But no, my glass I couldn't. I
can't wear sunglasses with my glasses because my glasses are
very wide. But anyway, so I was hiding under umbrella
for a lot of it. But but uh, we did
go to a burial site and then it was one
(41:56):
other thing that I wanted to say. Oh, I know
what I wanted to say. There's a movie that I love.
It's an animated film called The Road to El Dorado.
Speaker 4 (42:06):
The kids movie.
Speaker 3 (42:08):
And in the movie, there's a scene where they have
to play a sports game. They basically pin an entire
team of these sports players up against the two main characters,
and the goal of the game is you have to
like use your hips, your legs and your not your hands,
your head maybe as well to get this ball like
(42:29):
fifty feet up in the air through this like hole
that's like in a wall. And like, I, you know,
I'm a kid, I'm like, oh, this is just a
cool movie. I got to see the sports arena in
real life because they actually had this that this is
where it's based off of them, and seeing the ring
(42:52):
so high up in the air and just imagining how
they had to like maneuver like a ball to like
get through the It was wild. Definitely a wild experience
to be able to see something from my childhood that
I saw in a movie and then see where it
came from in real life. It was a very very
(43:12):
cool experience. And yeah, there was my Mexico. To find
out what happened on the rest of my Mexico vacation
after this event, tune into Foxy.
Speaker 2 (43:23):
Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah yeah. Anyway, well that's about all
the time we have. Ladies and gentlemen, thank you so
much for tuning in to another edition with imbrim Skin.
We appreciate you, We love you so much for tuning
in and listening to this bunch of horrible, awful chicken
scratch of whatever. What what do you look at me
(43:45):
like that for?
Speaker 4 (43:47):
I don't know where you're going.
Speaker 2 (43:48):
I don't know either, because I don't have music underneath
to me sitting and hyping me up night.
Speaker 3 (43:52):
Well, don't worry, I'm gonna put the music in, hyping
you up in toast.
Speaker 2 (43:56):
Well, there you go. Well, we thank you so much
for tuning in every single week. Guys, again, we appreciate
you and have a great week. We will see you again.
God related next week, M M.
