(00:00):
Good afternoons, folks. How areyou doing today? My people in Los
Angeles, people in the United States, people across the world. It is
Friday, the week before US Thanksgiving. The traffic out there is off the
chain, so guys, be carefuldriving. It's a little cold out side.
(00:20):
We're having like a little cold chillgoing on here in LA today.
The weather is changing so dramatically. It's like it's summer one day and it's
winter the next. Yesterday, evenI think it was yesterday, was it
Thursday? No? Wednesday? Guys, we had the most cold day you
could ever imagine in LA. Ihad to put heat on in the house
and keep it on all night. So you, guys, if you're living
(00:43):
in a house, be grateful thatyou have a place to live. So
enough of that. Today, Iam so excited to be getting the opportunity
to interview a very famous model.Okay, this model, This young lady.
She was born in south southwestern partof Russia. It's amazing because before
starting her modeling career, she wasnot interested in fashion. But when she
(01:07):
was a teenager, her and herbest friend went into photography and they used
to take pictures of each other.Since then, even being in from the
camera. She wouldn't think about beingShe didn't think about being a model,
but more about creating beautiful pictures andbecoming a tool for it. I love
that she became a tool for beautifulpictures. Later in life, she was
(01:29):
given a chance to try modeling asa professional, so she was thinking of
it as artwork. She was scoutedwhen she was only eighteen years old by
an agency that that just opened upin Moscow named Yes Models. They gave
her a fast start by setting herto Paris four months after signing with them.
In Paris, she was faced withreal world fashion attending Fashion Week.
(01:53):
It was kind of a shock tourbecause going from fifteen to twenty castings a
day and meeting the most important castingdirectors. Of course, it was stressful
for her and challenging because no onetells you if they like you or not,
and you're surrounded by hundreds of othermodels. She was feeling horrible at
times. This is just the thingsthat models go through and just getting into
(02:14):
their world. Thinking about how thinkingabout it, she realized that she did
not understand the half of what washappening to her at the time. This
girl was making stardom fast. Finally, her stress came to an end when
she booked with Mimi Exclusive. Iwant to make sure I'm MIU Mimi Exclusive,
and that gave her the greatest startof her career and the biggest relief
(02:38):
basically with her big yes. Aftershe traveled to Milan and with Why Not
Models. She's done great jobs includingcover including she covered the cover of Wallpaper
Magazine, Vogue, Shopping Vogue,Accessories, LL Official, Siland and many
others. August of the same shewent to New York where she continued developing
(03:04):
her career. Since moving to NewYork, she did advertising career campaigns for
Ray Band, which took her careerto the next level. Again. This
girl is taking off. This girlshe's like flying and high. I'm serious
despite the travels. She's been livingand working in New York for over five
years. We're talking to a younglady by the name of Ria. Ria
(03:25):
has walked the runway for Dennis Basso, Tory Burch, Diesel, Dulcie,
and Cabana Can Gucci Hello. She'sappeared in various photo editorials and campaigns campaigns
including Loreo Color and Colne and RayBands Never Hide She also joined Stranger Things
(03:46):

girl is dropped at gorgeous Riha Ria, Ria, we are so excited to
have you on the radio show hereon iHeart Radio. Tell us about how
it all got started, Leah, the show is yours, Thank you.
It all got started pretty pretty suddenfor me because at that time I was
(05:23):
trying out different professionally. I justfinished school and at some point I lost
my job and I was questioning whatI'm going to do next, and you
know what, I received a callfrom an agent who tells, Ria,
do you want to see do youwant to try modeling? And of course
I started, Wow, Wow,how did you feel when you got that
(05:47):
call? I was feeling like there'ssomething out there that just wanted me to
do that, and especially from mystory about it that I was. I
was not into fashion, but itwas something that I've tried with my friends
in the past and it was aninteresting thing to do, and I was
(06:11):
pretty excited to start it, especiallyrealizing that it can help me to see
the world, to travel and justgo beyond the linus that if you,
as an ordinary girl, give toyourself. Wow. Riya, you are
such an inspiration. Do you missRussia at all? Yes, I do,
(06:32):
I do, of course. Whatdo you miss most? Do you
still have family there or do youstill have friends there? What do you
miss most about Russia? You're modelingbuddies, what do you miss most?
Well, of course I do missmy family the most, and I don't
have many friends out there, butI still have my old friends which I
(06:54):
used to be with for many years. And I wouldn't say you would talk
a lot on the phone, butsometimes it's I'm very happy that they're still
there, that I can call themany moments, and if I'm in Russia
anytime, I'm always glad to seemy friends. Well, I'm I'm probably
excited seeing the fact that you hitstart im so fast and so yes,
(07:18):
yes, it was. It wasa lot of a sudden because like I
was there and now like and thenI just went abroad and just continued traveling.
Wow, can you tell us aboutthe U photo shoot with Stranger Things
cast and start? Oh, thatwas amazing. Actually, that's I I've
(07:42):
met. I haven't seen that showbefore I was I was doing this photo
shoot, but I heard it wasvery popular and I was a bit nervous
shooting with actors, especially knowing thatthey were pretty famous because the show got
a lot of success. And whenI got there, it was like it
(08:03):
was amazing, It was amazing. The photographer was very cool. We got
the same like the amazing vibe. And the boys they were so nice.
They were so nice. They wereso helpful. Even at the moment when
it was a bit of a strugglefor me because for one of the shoots
I had to be in a verycold water in a swimming pool, there
(08:24):
was a very supportive Yes, gosh, yes it was. It was amazing
shoots. I really it was suchan experience the Cold War that you know,
people just think that models just takea bunch of pretty pictures, it's
trendy. Was work it sounds likework? React, Yes, it is.
(08:48):
It is. You have to bestrong mentally and physically to do that.
Yes, what is the captain theylike for you? The day?
Oh well, I would say usuallyit's a bunch of castings of the day,
so you're mostly like walking around thecity and going from one place to
(09:11):
another. Sometimes there's so many ofthe castings, so you're in a rush
all the time and you're trying it. It's kind of like a crazy wheel
where you're like just going around thecity and just meeting different people, and
you always have to be in agood mood and perform yourself well and remember
(09:35):
every all every person that you need, you have to remember their names.
And yes, so it's like verybusy. Yeah, wow, is it
fast paced? Us? Is itfast paced? You know? Everything moving
so fast on a yes, yes, yes, it is moving very fast.
(09:58):
So what if the toughest job thatyou had with the cold water,
you know, tell us tell ussome of what those jobs are, like,
what's a typical you know, theyare set like you know where you're
having to either get in water orwork in the cold or work in the
heat. Give us an example ofwhat that's like for you. Well,
(10:18):
I would say like even some ofmy most iconic jobs was nuts without a
story. And yes, well, because the day of the job usually starts
when everybody arrives in the morning,we have a breakfast, we meet because
usually it's a completely different team. You meet new people all the time,
(10:43):
and so you meet each other. They perform a makeup and hair and when
everything ready, we started shoot. And it could be in the studio,
it could be on location, andit depends on what they want. And
sometimes sometimes, of course, ifyou want to do a beautiful sho you
have to go through certain stuff likebeing in the cold water in a swimming
(11:05):
pool, or you have to bein the cold without so many of the
clothes, or it could be furcoats in the middle of the summer.
So, oh my god. Yes, yes, when you said you have
to be physically strong, you can'tbe weak in body. You have to
have a healthy, strong body forthat. Yes, And I always kind
(11:30):
of make fun of even when it'snot extreme conditions, sometimes when the clothes
is very fussy or you have todo something very specific. There's a common
phrase that photographers say they put youin the most uncomfortable pose in your life,
like if you were doing yogur orsomething, and say, look natural.
(11:52):
That's my favorite. Oh my gosh, so you are You know the
song have you ever heard the songshe Worked Hard for the Money by Donna
Summer? You work hard for themoney you earn every time you get Yes,
it is, it is true. It's so true. What has been
(12:15):
your favorite job shoot so far?Rhyeah, I wouldn't say that there is
my favorites, but I would sayone of my favorites would be Japanese Harper's
Bazaar. Yes, I don't know. Probably it's because people who have been
(12:37):
working with were very on the samepage with me. We had this similar
taste in the music, and wedidn't really know in the beginning where it's
gonna go. But then everything cametogether, the makeup, the hair,
the clothes, and I catch themood and I remember this wonderful feeling when
I was modeling, and but hewas looking at me, and I was
(13:01):
looking at the people's faces on theset, and I don't know if it's
like it was more of a performancethan even a shoot. So I feel
like this is one of my favoritejobs that I've done. Wow, Harper's
Bizarre Japan, those are some bigplacements. Girl, You've got some major,
(13:22):
big news under your belt. Yes, what was your first big break
in the industry? Tell us aboutthat. Well, my very first was
me or Mew exclusive that I've doneon my first fashion week in Paris,
and uh uh, yes, Wellit was kind of crazy because I was
(13:46):
a new new face at that timeand I didn't know what to expect.
I was very excited and being inParis, but when you're attending your first
fashion week, you're very stressed andyou don't know if people like you're not.
And when my agent told me thatI got this job, it was
(14:07):
just outstanding, especially when I realizedthat I was working with the Mutua Prada
herself and I saw how she wasmaking clothes, she was trying it on
us. And even though it wasalso kind of like a struggled because uh,
be working for such important brands sometimesmean that you have to wait a
lot, you have to also gothrough some stuff, but I think it
(14:31):
forthate because I saw how she wasworking on the clothes and how everything was
set. And then next morning Ihad the show and I was I was
not I didn't know what was goingon. I was like, well,
is it real? And then especiallyas such a big achievement as this show,
(14:56):
I was very happy about it.That is huge product, that is
so huge. Congratulations on that theyhave done something work. You guys got
to take a look at her. She's dropped dead gorgeous. Guys, has
tyber Banks gotten in touch with youyet? You are so gorgeous? Not
(15:18):
yet? Wow? So tell usdo you have anything new on the horizon
that's coming up that you want usto know about right now. I'm working,
actually, I just finished up workon my personal projects. It's more
about how I'm trying to being asa model and I try to make a
(15:46):
difference in the world, and I'mmaking the projects. It's more about environments.
So I want to make a differenceeven being a model and through my
profession. So the product is goingto come soon and I hope that people
will like it. Wow, wowyou are You're You're an You sound like
(16:07):
you're an environmentalist. I wouldn't saythat I'm you care about it, but
I do. I do, yeah, because this is a world that I
really love and I feel very sadseeing what is going on. So I'm
trying to do something that I canmake a difference. Yes, wonderful.
(16:32):
How do you deal with all thetraveling required to be a model? That's
a lot of traveling you're doing. How do you even sleep? Ah?
Well? Sometimes hardly. Yeah.Well, if you talk to other models,
sometimes they say that some of themthey deal with it pretty well.
(16:55):
And I wouldn't say that I'm inI'm this kind of person because sometimes for
me it's kind of hard. Andthat's why probably I don't do fashion because
much anymore, because if I doit, I would have to I might
get sick for a couple of monthsand I couldn't. I wouldn't, I
(17:19):
couldn't work after this. So that'swhy I think for me, it's a
bit hard. Yes, the travelingtakes a toll on your body. Yes,
well it's you know, like youdon't really sleep so much, you
you don't really eat so much. There's a lot of uh, sick people
on the plane. Sometimes you're changingcountries, and yeah, I think like
(17:42):
maybe if if I would be traininganymore, maybe that would be better.
But right, wow, so youprefer to be one place, which makes
a lot of physical sense, youknow. Mm hmmm. Yes. What
do you do? What's a typicalday off for you? The day off?
(18:04):
It depends if I have a lotof things to do left. You
know, sometimes when you work alot, you don't have the time to
do some stuff like, for example, working on my project or maybe studying.
And I have a couple of hobbiesthat I do, but I really
like her I really like studying, that's what I do. What kind of
(18:27):
studying do you do? Do youmind telling her? Of course, I'm
very much into biology, and yes, I want to probably go study pretty
soon. I hope we'll see howthe work will allow me to do that.
(18:47):
But I'm very much interested in thisand I'm doing my own research from
what I can learn without university. And yes, I'm I'm moving in the
direction and whngratulations you are such asmart young lady as well. Wow,
biology, that's huge. How doyou get noticed in the industry? What?
(19:11):
What? What? How important areLet me get start with the first
question, because I can just ribbleon and on here because you're such an
interesting person. How do you getnoticed in the industry? Tell us that?
Well, I guess the first thingthat your agent will tell you when
you become a model and you're attendingto the costing is that you have to
(19:33):
show your personality. And that meansthat in a short period of time when
you're at the costing, you haveonly two unutes to say your name,
where you're from, and meet thesepeople. And in this short period of
time you have to show your personality. And this is this is how this
(19:53):
is one way how you get noticedin the industry. You're kind of trying
to make a relationship with the client. When you just meet the person,
you try to show them that youare capable of doing the job that they
want and this is what you're tryingto do. Wow, And that you're
(20:15):
serious about the job and that theycan rely on you. Yes, yes,
And you're trying to show them everythingthat's uh. You're trying to show
them your talent. If you're infront of the camera. You like sometimes
even you make a little research aboutthe clients you go, so you like,
you put the outfits that fits theyneed. Maybe sometimes when you work
(20:38):
on your portfolio, or you tryto put different kind of pictures so they
match different categories of clients. Sothey can see that you can be this
and you can do that, andyou can be very different. It's not
just you. Like they see youall the time. So yeah, and
they like they like the fact thatnot only do you have personality, but
(21:00):
you have character and integrity. Yes, exactly, exactly. That's wonderful.
How important are connections? RHA tellus about that. It is very important
because the most important connection is withyou and your agents. And I think
this is where everything is going.Because your agent is someone who's gonna take
(21:26):
care of you who's gonna book yourjobs. And this is the person who
should believe in you, not onlyyourself, but you should be like a
team because this is you. You'reboth are working for your goods and this
is I think one of the mostimportant connections that you should have as being
(21:47):
a model. Wow, that's youknow, you're only as you know what,
You're only as valuable as the peoplearound you. Yes, that's what
Have you ever heard of that saying? Where you know the people that you
surround yourself with is your network?Yes, yes, exactly, and you
(22:07):
have amazing networks around you. Youare just you have taken the modeling world
by storm. And you have smartbeauty, you have like brains, beauty
business, you have like all threeof them together. You're so welcome.
What types of things ria do youdo to reduce the stress and anxiety often
(22:29):
associated with modeling because it's such aheavy responsibility. Well, start when I
started working almost every weekday and Irealized that I start to burn out sometimes
sometimes I get physically very tired becausestanding on the heels all day long without
even sitting for a minute, itcan be very hard for your body,
(22:55):
for your back, and I recentlyfound one thing that kind of changed everything
for me, and that's cold sensorydeprivation tank. And now that's how I
reduce my stress and anxiety. Tellus about that, Senor, tell us
(23:15):
about that. Well, it isalso cold floatation tank because this is like
a small pool of water, veryvery very salt, water as salty so
you could float in it. Soyou literally float. You'll literally float in
this water and the water is thetemperature of your body, and the air
(23:41):
is also the same temperature of yourbody. And when you turn off the
lights completely, there is no sound, there's no light. You're just alone
in the darkness, in the warmness, the same temperature as your body surrounding
you, and you're kind of itis so cool being in the silence and
just be with yourself and deal withyour thoughts and relaxed the body. And
(24:07):
that's really something that I opened formyself. And it works. It is
work, it does, it doeswork, and it really helps me.
I feel like when I work allweek long. I do it every Friday
now, wow, And it justrelieves you stress and it probably makes you
(24:30):
feel like a brand new person.Oh yes, oh yes, totally.
I've got to try that. Myfriend, a friend of mine, Beverly
Newfield, she did. She mentionedthat a few years ago. I was
doing a class with her and shesaid, you know, okay, you
should really try the flow And Isaid, you know what, I was
suffering with anxiety and it came acrossmy desk and I didn't follow through with
(24:52):
it. But now that you're mentioningit, I'm going to go and try
it because I need to release someof the stress. Oh, definitely,
definitely try it. It's really itreally helps a lot. Wow. What
would you say ria would be thebest thing about becoming a model? I
(25:14):
would say traveling. Wow. Thetraveling too, Yeah, well, I
don't know. Being when I wasgrowing up in Russia, I was really
it really was dreaming about traveling andseeing the world, and I didn't know
if I could ever achieve it,because well, yeah, maybe for Russian
(25:38):
persons it would be a little bitharder, but I was. I was
always dreaming about it, and modelingreally helps me, not only just to
be the tourist, but every timeI come to the different country, I
stay there for at least a month, maybe more a couple of months.
And that's like, while you arespending this time, you feel yourself like
(26:03):
as you live there, and that'ssomething that I really appreciate with my job.
Wow, what would you say isthe worst thing about becoming a model?
Well, probably stress and sometimes yeah, I would say sometimes the pressure.
(26:26):
Sometimes it is the physical stress, and well there are some downsides.
Yeah, there are some downsides,I would say, so basically the pressure
and the stress. And it alsotakes a physical toll on you as well.
Yes, yes, and sometimes youknow, since it is a full
(26:49):
time job, and sometimes it takesso much of your time, so you
don't have time for yourself for anything. When I was very very busy for
working a couple of years ago,I was working, I was flying back
and forth. I was almost spendinglike the whole week without aging your rest.
(27:11):
When you have to spend time fortraveling for the flights, you don't
really have time even for anything. You're just only you're you're only trying to
eat in time and sleep in timeso you can keep going. But I
think this is one of the downsidesthat I don't mind, because sometimes you
have to stop for a second andsay, okay, I have to have
(27:33):
life besides. But yeah, ithas to be has to be balanced.
Wow wow, because it'll it'll consumeyour entire life. It sounds like,
yes, yes, exactly, youdon't. You don't have time to spend
with your friends, with your family. And sometimes you have to say,
(27:55):
Okay, I know I have towork. I love to work, but
if I don't give some time tomyself, if I don't go to vacations,
then it's not going to work.So sometimes you have to make these
kind of deals. And of coursethere's uh, it's not good sometimes,
(28:15):
but you have to choose between yourselfand your job. Yes, wow wow
you what what you're some inspirational advicewould you What would your advice to be
to young people considering a career inthe modeling world. Well, I would
(28:37):
say, remember about the downside ofit, about the risks. And I
think one of the most important thingsthat I feel right now is don't quit
study. Don't quit study. Yes, it's the most one of the most
important thing is this. And alsoI feel like I think everybody who started
(29:02):
modeling, they came through this. And then you have to prioritize your health
over any job because well, asI said, it's sometimes extreme working conditions
and either you have to manage itsomehow, you know, like create something
to help you sustain it. Butsometimes for some jobs, if you understand
(29:26):
that if you realize that you're goingto get sick, you're going to have
problems because of this, and you'regoing to know it, you have to
say no because even if it's avery important job for you. But I
would say that it's very important toremember that your health is something that you
can't buy and you have to takecare of it. I love what you
(29:49):
said. Your health is something thatyou cannot buy and if you don't have
your health, you don't have anything. And it's so important for them to
understand. Like, I love thatyou make it make a point to say
this is this job requires a lotof physical strength, and your health is
(30:10):
everything. And making sure that youknow, you have snacks with you when
you're you know, when you're inthe air, you make sure you try
to sleep, you know, sothat you can get some sort of sleep
so when you land, you canland on your feet. It's a lot
of managing of your uh, mentaland physical health. Yes, yes,
totally. And you yeah, Ilove the fact that you know when you
(30:33):
get your education, no one cantake that from you. You know,
have a plan. You know, have a plan because you know, unless
you want to be a model forthe rest of your life. That's beautiful
too. I mean that's anyone likeMom and Tyra Banks and Gigi and and
you know and and and you knowNaomi Campbell and and you know all those
girls. They made it the lifething. But they also have a lot
(30:57):
of them have makeup lines on side. Do you see what I mean?
They have to supply their income aswell so that they can still be in
the modeling world. But they're nowfrom a business perspective where they can have
a life, have a family, and they just have a company that manages
their makeup and they just do allthe pictures for the campaigns for their own
(31:18):
stuff. Yes, exactly, exactly. Yes. Do you wish to move
beyond modeling at some point in thefuture, Yes, I think if if
I want to go study and ifthat would require me to quit modeling at
(31:41):
some point, and it well,it depends what's going to happen to my
career. I mean not probably notanytime soon, because I still have plan
to continue working and study. Butif we ever will be a choice between
studying or doing science jobs, andor continue modeling. I would probably go
(32:05):
to the science direction. What wouldyou do with your biology? Would you
become a doctor, would you becomea nurse? What would you do with
it? Specifically? I thought aboutit a lot, and I thought of
being a nurse. I think Ihave some degree of education as being a
nurse from Russia, and I loveworking with people. But I really like
(32:29):
research work, so I would governthat direction and research. Would you be
researching diseases or researching stem What kindof research would you do? I don't
know yet, you know, likeevery time I learned something new, I
don't even know if that would bein the direction or of pure biology.
(32:52):
Maybe it would go to chemistry.Maybe it would go because everything is very
connected and every science are connected, and sometimes you can see it from different
perspectives. So I'm not sure yet. As more I will know, As
more I will decide what I willprefer. Right right, Well, we
(33:16):
have some couple of trivia questions foryou. Is that okay? A little
trivia questions? Like here's one, what's your favorite color? I would say
blue blue is a sky blue, tiffany blue, or real blue. It's
(33:36):
like ah wait. I think it'slike, have you ever seen how the
deep sea looks like? That's thecolor of deep sea? I would say,
Oh, so you like the deepsea blue? Yeah, that's beautiful.
Who's your favorite designer? I knowthat's a hard question. Who's your
(33:58):
favorite designer? Though? I thinkit is uh Yoji Yamamoto? Oh wow,
Yamamoto? Okay. And if youhad the dream model to work with,
who would you want to work with? Ah? Uh, well,
(34:22):
probably Yoji Yamamoto. Okay. Ihaven't worked with him yet. Okay.
And what's your favorite car? Whatcar do you like the best? Oh?
Actually this was one of the passionsthat I had in the high school.
And I really love muscle cars.Oh you like muscle so you like
(34:44):
take It? You like the movieFast and Furious? Yes? Probably whoa
okay? And so we got yourfavorite car. So what's your favorite movie?
Oh? My favorite movie? Ithink one of them is probably Cloud
(35:05):
Atlas. Oh and what's your favoritemusic? What's your favorite song? What's
your favorite artist? It's not verypopular, so I don't know. Uh.
It would that's better if I describedthe style of it. Because there
was different moments of my life andI lived like different music. So in
(35:27):
the end, I'm very I havevery yeah, yeah, yes, But
for a moment, for a moment, I listened to ethnic house music,
which is kind of takes like differentfolk music from around the world and combine
(35:49):
it with electronic music, and thatwhat I really like, sounds like fun
New York stuff. Maybe maybe Wow, And tell us what's your favorite food?
My favorite food? Oh my god, I love to eat. I
love so many different foods. Itis like, which one if you had,
(36:15):
if you could eat one every day, what would it be? Oh
my god, I would say thatit would be one because I don't know.
I really like I really like toeat different food. There's no one
dish that I like. Yeah,I think that there was. There would
be many things, because I don'tknow if I could eat one dish every
day and not get sick of itright right? Well, I mean you
(36:37):
have some people that eat salad everyday and that's considered a great meal,
you know, salad and bread.Well, I wouldn't say that. Uh
well, if it would be onedish, I'd say that I would I
could eat it every day. ButI wouldn't say that. After a while,
I would say this is my favorite. Yes, that's all right,
right right? What is that? What is it? So you from Russia?
(37:00):
What is a great dish that ifI went to a Russian restaurant?
What would you recommend I get?Oh my god, there's so many things,
and I don't I think, wellyou probably if you would go,
you would try borsch. That wasthe soup. I think it's iconic Russian
(37:23):
dish. It's a soup with thecabbage and tomato and pets, probably some
with some recipes, and it's prettygood. But it's more of everyday food
in Russia. It's not something somethingspecial. I would say. It sounds
(37:44):
to me, yeah, well,I really like. There's Pelmeni it's like
dumplings, which are also pretty nice, Yeah, dumplings with meat. And
there's verniki, which is like aI don't know if you've ever tried them,
like like what's inside of it?It could be from uh it's like
(38:08):
also dumplings, uh kind, butin different shape and it has maybe potatoes.
Some of them have like uh fryroasted cabbage, and some of them
could be even sweet, like withcherries for example, which is pretty pretty
(38:30):
nice. I really like sound yummy. Yeah, sounds yummy, and what
what what type of favorite restaurants doyou like? Going to meet you in
New York. Because you go toNew York, you smell food from everywhere.
I think that you has like thebest restaurants in the world in my
opinion. Yes, probably it istrue because a lot of people from all
(38:52):
over the world come here and theytry to be on the top. And
that's why probably there's so many differentfoods with very good chefs because they they
go across the ocean just to dothat. And my favorite I WHOA,
(39:13):
I don't know. When you sayabout my favorite, I would actually say
that it would be well, itwould be an unusual choice because I love
a lot of different restaurants in thecity. But my favorite is a very
very small place. It's probably unknown, and it's in Brooklyn, and it's
a Georgian cuisine. So I don'tknow, I don't know the name of
(39:37):
it, yes, but it's Ithink it's one of my favorite cuisines.
Who you know what. I wentto a restaurant in New York. It
looked like it just looked like aregular like place, and then it was
like in a basement, like itjust looks an a basement and I went
down there and it smelt so goodand for the first time in my life
(39:58):
and the only time in my life, I had quailed, and it was
so yummy. I was like,oh my gosh. I love the food
in New York. I think NewYork has better restaurants than Los Angeles.
I don't think there's a comparison tothe restaurants in Los Angeles to New York.
And there's no comparison. Even whenyou're walking down the street in New
York, you smell the amazing aromaof food in the air, you know
(40:21):
what I'm talking about. It's like, yes, I love New York totally.
And everywhere is something cozy, Likeyou get a building could look like
just a brick outside, you goin, it's this beautiful loft, you
know, just the lofts and everything, the living. It's it's, you
know, adventure, it is.I love the Upper Upper Upper east Side
(40:45):
is really nice. New York Uppereast Side is so nice. The West
Side is nice too, Central Park. But the only thing I can't deal
with is the cold weather. Howdo you like the weather? And I
don't you know, there's a commonI think it's a common thing that people
(41:08):
think about Russian people that were coolwith cold, But we're actually not.

mothers, my mother's neighbors were fromRussia. And really you can smell their
(41:30):
food cooking. Oh my gosh.My mom went to church with them and
