July 17, 2025 50 mins
WWE is in an absolute scramble, attempting to build a two-night SummerSlam spectacular from August 2nd to 3rd, 2025, with less than three weeks to go. The card, while stacked with high-stakes matchups, feels rushed, largely due to the company's recent programming focus.
The current lineup promises some electrifying encounters. John Cena is set to defend his Undisputed WWE Championship against a surging Cody Rhodes, a match with major implications for the top title. On the women's side, Tiffany Stratton puts her WWE Women's Championship on the line against the formidable Jade Cargill, while a Triple Threat match for the Women's World Championship will see Naomi defend against Rhea Ripley and Iyo Sky, guaranteeing a chaotic and unpredictable outcome.
The hard-hitting Gunther will also defend his World Heavyweight Championship against the ever-popular CM Punk, a dream match for many fans. Becky Lynch defends her Women's Intercontinental Championship against the rising star Lyra Valkyria, providing a significant opportunity for the latter. Adding a dose of celebrity appeal, Randy Orton will team up with musical artist Jelly Roll to take on the unlikely duo of Drew McIntyre and Logan Paul in a tag team contest that's sure to draw eyeballs.
However, the compressed timeframe for these bookings is a major concern. The recent focus on the post-Evolution PPV fallout, which concluded on July 13th, and the prominent spotlight given to NXT Great American Bash on July 12th, left very little breathing room for the usual extensive SummerSlam build-up. This limited window, combined with lingering storylines from these preceding events, makes it challenging for WWE to cultivate the typical SummerSlam hype and ensure each match feels adequately developed and impactful for such a significant event.

Speaker 1 (00:00):
Podcasting since two thousand and five.

Speaker 2 (00:03):
This is the King of Podcasts Radio Network, kingo Podcasts
dot Com.

Speaker 3 (00:07):
There are so many things the juvenile delusional fandom could
be talking about today, but we're talking about aw in
an eleven hundred seed arena. WHOA name you more request
and believe it or not. Whether you like it or
don't like, you learn to love.

Speaker 2 (00:24):
It because you have listened to wrestling and really it
is the best day going two days. WHOA the worldwide
leader of podcasting excellence. The King of Podcasts Radio Network
probably presents the Wrestling Fans Real Podcast because Wrestling Dave Sucks.

Speaker 3 (00:46):
This is episode eight and forty three of the rescues
are podcast Kingopodcasts dot Com of course is where you
find me, find the program all the other good stuff. So, yeah,
we're three weeks from SummerSlam. As we do this, we
have slim Urisary this weekend as well we got to
talk about.

Speaker 1 (01:02):
So we're going to go through all that.

Speaker 3 (01:03):
Tonight, but first and foremost, we got to talk about
the juvenile delusional fandom and where they are right now
as w is doing their Summer Slams scramble trying to
fill up the rest of the card in three weeks, okay,
and with so much content preceding itself over the weekend,

(01:26):
you know, you would think the fantom could be talking about,
you know, Goldberg's retirement and him getting cut off. But
the thing is there was all of these these negative
things that come along with it. First of all, cutting
off is mic on NBC right before Saturday.

Speaker 1 (01:39):
The spine event goes away.

Speaker 3 (01:40):
I mean they get cut They didn't cut them off
at a at a good breakpoint, but there was more
he had to say. But he doesn't get the proper
sinned off. He's not happy about it. He complains to
Arie hallwander about it or was it Chris Vanvley, I
forget either which way? And then you have Evolution, which

(02:00):
you could say a lot about. A couple of matches
got booked as a result. Going off of that. Now
you've got another match for lere Vakiria to Lira val Cauria.
I always say the other way around, southern kind of thing.
So she's gonna get another rematch against Beggy Lynch to
go back after the inter Continent until Championship.

Speaker 1 (02:21):
Okay, So that's been set.

Speaker 3 (02:23):
And then you all said on Spackdown on the Friday
before everything is being set up with Rand Norton and
Jelly Roll in a featured match celebrity match against drum
macketts Are and Logan Paul. So those two matches already
set up, and I guess they're gonna gonna set other
matches up towards the end of this and that's the plan, okay,

(02:43):
and the other matches that there might be out there. Mmm,
let's look from one place I'm looking at right now.
That is kind of guestimating right now. So besides, you
might have aj Styles and Dominic Masterio, you might have
Demian Priest I guess Alistair Black. Potentially you'll have you know,

(03:06):
skuy Reripley and Naomi and a triple threat Gunter taking
on seam Punk, which was set up from the Gauntlet
match more or less right for the world have aweight
title and Secret Hervest, Secret Hervis versus Stephane, Vica and Nikubella,

(03:28):
and the winner could get a tag title match at Somerset.
We don't know, But the thing is, those are some
of the potential matches they have so far going into
Summer Slam. All of your champions are heels, every one
of them. That's quite an amazing feat right there. Yeah,

(03:55):
I was just looking right now, So yeah, Naomi tiviotdy Stratton.
H I guess you could say she is a heel
a judgment day. Why it's six now with the world
tag team titles over street profits. I don't understand that.
And by the way, why at six will be able
to go ahead and defend the belts under freebird rules?

Speaker 1 (04:17):
Why you call it that?

Speaker 3 (04:18):
Just why don't you just call it new Day rules?
I mean, don't even do not even you know, I
don't even go and impugne the name.

Speaker 1 (04:29):
What's the word I'm looking for?

Speaker 3 (04:30):
Why are you even gonna use the word free bird?

Speaker 1 (04:32):
Nobody knows what that is?

Speaker 3 (04:33):
Say new day rules. Everybody knows what that means. Come on, yeah,
good there. Yeah when you look.

Speaker 1 (04:40):
At everything right here, Yeah, it looks like it's pretty
much sad. Yeah, all heels incredible.

Speaker 3 (04:48):
So we have all that. It can be talked about
summer set coming up in three weeks. Everybody can be going,
you know, talking all about that. But lead up to it,
six matches already scheduled right now so far officially Johnsena
against Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed w Championship, which is,
you know, rematching WrestleMania Timody Stratton versus Jay Cargill for

(05:09):
the women's title. But you just mentioned Orton and Roll,
Jelly Roll and Drew mc guitar, Logan Paul going through
and seem Punk for the World Heavweight title, Naomi reverpleat
Io Sky against Triple Threat for the Women's world title,
and Becky versus Lyra for the IC title. That's what's
all I said. But you got to fill up two nights,
and I have not checked Wressell Tics on X to

(05:31):
find out if they have sold out yet or not.
I need to go and take a look at that
and see where they are, but I'll be hard pressed
to say that they were able to go and do that.
The last check for SummerSlam by the Russell Tics was
last Thursday. It looks like it looks like last Friday,

(05:51):
and at that point they still showed about a good
forty hundred tickets left to sell. Those under forty thousand
right now, Prince heps forty five thousand that's for Saturday,
and then as of Sunday, they're just shore four thousand
short of four thousand tickets and they currently had a
little over forty thousand tickets sold, so yeah, they'll probably

(06:12):
get it sold by the end of all that. But
that's all they're gonna go and do is go forty
five thousand at Mattline Studio, which I'm pretty sure goes
to seventy or eighty. And yeah, we could say, okay, well,
they're also gonna have you know, the stage you're gonna
be set up for that. I don't know what that's
gonna be, but that's what they're gonna do. Now, let's

(06:33):
look at where we are and the current setup of
other things. One of the things that everybody complained about
tonight as we're recording here was dynamite. Did they fall
out from all in Texas?

Speaker 1 (06:47):
Right? And from everything that we're looking.

Speaker 3 (06:51):
At, it looks like they might have gotten twenty eight
nine thousand, one of the highest gate in North America
ever for AW So for them, that's like success. And
in terms of the tickets are selling right now for
their other shows, well, one of the shows they're going
to be going to that they're gonna be doing right

(07:11):
now that people were all up and at it that
I was watching on X tonight was where, for whatever reason,
wherever AW was performing tonight. Let's go into that real quickly.
Dynamite Tonight emanated from the Byline Bank Aragon Ballroom in Chicago.

(07:33):
Now I don't know about this venue. It's a very
interesting venue. It is in downtown Chicago, matter of fact,
on Lawrence Avenue if I'm minutes north of downtown, so
they're right in.

Speaker 1 (07:48):
The heart.

Speaker 3 (07:51):
And it's a very old classic arena like a theater
that opened up in nineteen twenty six. So in the
way that AW likes to go and do things, they
don't have an issue with going into certain setups and
doing residencies. We had that last year when they went
to twenty three hundred Arena for a residency.

Speaker 1 (08:11):
Same thing going for when they went.

Speaker 3 (08:14):
To Eastports Stadium in Arlix and Texas where they went
to for Collision for a residency. And now they're doing
a residency between now and the end of July. If
I'm going correctly, they're doing six shows I believe in
that same arena, that ballroom, the current set up eleven
hundred and forty four, and so they were sold out

(08:36):
tonight and they're supposed to be doing the same thing
again a few more nights the same way, so to
be able to make sure you've got Collision, which never
sells as much as Dynamite, and it's over six nights.
But everybody thought, oh, this is after all in you
just got this big stadium and this is the place
you choose to go to. Yeah, for television, it's a
different story. And it's not as if they can't do

(09:00):
more people at other events. I mean, they're gonna go
out to Forbidding the word Toronto, so they're selling tickets
for that. They're going to Glasgow, Scotland for a show
coming up soon, and a lot more. So I'm not
sure what they can letter really think about so far
about all this, but they were sold out tonight. Everything
was fine, but everybody got up and added about the arena.

(09:25):
Oh and this is the thing. And so I even
put a community on X to get clear of the
people that kept saying, look at how small this arena
is if you're still going after AW, after the the
full court blitz, all right, the full court press that
WWE tried to do on AW by smothering it basically

(09:47):
with shows going up against before it.

Speaker 1 (09:51):
And after it.

Speaker 3 (09:53):
I mean they didn't want Wwe didn't want to have
AW at all have their own weekend end. Somebody was
more than happy to go and put Great America Bash
up against at the same time, and then put on
Saturday Nightspin event, which AW respectfully moved their show away
from the night time to do it during the afternoon,

(10:14):
and then you had Evolution take over the Sunday night spot.
It's all this going on that the company decided to
go ahead, make sure okay, then let's make sure that
that Evolution gets the headlines after the weekend.

Speaker 1 (10:26):
That's the kind of thought process we got. So there's
been the thought.

Speaker 3 (10:30):
The talk right now about bullying in wrestling right now,
and one of the people that has been talking a
lot about it that talked about it yesterday on Wrestling
Deserve Radio was Dave Meltzer. Here's what he said, You
really put this head to head with all in.

Speaker 4 (10:45):
It's like, you know, when you go head to head,
you know what I mean, It's like it's like you
don't want to look like you're twenty times worse. I mean,
it's like you want to look like you're better. And
it's not like they had to do the show It's
not like they picked the eight first and the other
people came. It's like you, you know, like you go
in there on the head to head and you knew

(11:06):
you want to put your best foot forward, and they
literally in every way put their worst foot forward. They had,
you know, a small arena that the crowd was fine,
but they weren't that hot at all, you know, especially
for a small arena like that. I mean, small arenas
are usually really hot. It wasn't. The matches were okay,

(11:28):
and they were going against the show that Literally when
they booked it, they may have thought, out of these
guys are only gonna get twelve thousand people in a
baseball stadium and they're gonna look really bad, and we're
gonna have a packed little building.

Speaker 3 (11:41):
But it didn't work out that way.

Speaker 1 (11:44):
Others Dave meltzer're talking about that.

Speaker 3 (11:46):
Another person I followed along with that they talked about
venues and things like that on X. I will not
give out names because I don't go and give that
kind of press to people, but I will just say
that I read the story here. The same person actually
posted out that the CW broadcast of the NFC program
actually dropped the five hundred to say a six thousand viewers. Yeah,

(12:08):
bad time of year. I mean they're going against nothing
else except what the home run derby last night for
Major Dague Baseball. There was not much else going on,
but for whatever reason, not a lot of people were
watching for CW. They also ran I think they ran
Center Stage again seven hundred and fifty seeds and did

(12:28):
not sell it out.

Speaker 1 (12:29):
Apparently you got that five hundred and six thousand.

Speaker 3 (12:34):
That's basically what they got on USA at their lowest
as well. But I'm not gonna go and take too
much of it. I guess Great America Action did not
do much out of that, but you know, they can
always lose something else that will make it change. Plus
all hands on that can out to be for SummerSlam
and for other events they have or revolution things like that.

Speaker 1 (12:50):
And you know, I guess.

Speaker 3 (12:51):
The Blake Monroe instant turn to heal on Jordan Grace
didn't get as much.

Speaker 1 (12:58):
Press as everybody thought would get. I guess.

Speaker 3 (13:02):
And the same person wrote an opinion piece on X
and we'll talking about the fact that we fans watching
them trip over their own logic when they try to
declare AW a failure and the conversation always leads to
the same point. So AW has always called a failure
because it may draw fewer fans at a did a

(13:24):
year ago. Er Kujig are using the same ruler coross
to board. When you apply the same METSRUC to be
it falls flat. IVY readings are down. That's on both brands.
So it's attendance on every chart. WE has lost more
attendants than viewership in less than a year than AW
has in five years. Well, I can't say those numbers

(13:44):
are correct, and it's not anything he's citing in this,
but either which way, But if there's a decline that
people will go and perceive about, it's I'll never call
a failure. It's ignored, downplay or spun into some other narrative.
So why isn't W being held at the same standard? Okay,
did this authors writing here on X This is the
part where we don't have to be worried about again

(14:06):
on this program. I don't worry about that kind of
discussion on trying to point fingers. The thing is is
that if you're cutting through the noise of the dirt
sheets and the podcasters out there that just they like
to go and let themselves talk because their own personal
animates of like. They want to be noticed, they want
to be recognized, they want to have the resting counity

(14:26):
fawn all over them, not just the fans things like that.
You know me old Kia podcasts here. I don't worry
about all that stuff. I don't worry bout guests, don't
worry about anything else like that. I'm just a commentator
on the sport of professional wrestling.

Speaker 1 (14:41):
That's it.

Speaker 3 (14:43):
And with what w is doing right now, even I
have to go admit that expecting them to go to
be able to deliver creative, to deliver on the amount
of content that they're doing right now is asking for
a lot. But even then, they're not necessarily doing particular

(15:03):
storylines that have a beginning and an end, and if
they do, there's nothing much to them. And I'm not
asking for something over the top. I just think you're
also keeping the same people on top. The same stagnation
in the main event level is still there. The fact
that bron Breaker was actually featured in a Gauma match
to get a chance at the World Heavaway title only

(15:24):
happens because seth wrongs apparently are not.

Speaker 1 (15:28):
Is injured.

Speaker 3 (15:29):
But as I pointed out after watching Saturday and Spain event,
by the way, I did post shows for both all
In at Saturday night, spin Event on Saturday Night, an
Evolution on Sunday Night, And if you want to catch
those post shows, you can find them right now at
Kingopodcasts dot com or find them on YouTube channel at
King of Podcasts.

Speaker 1 (15:48):
All there for you.

Speaker 3 (15:49):
And one of the things I was talking about was
I looked at the seth throngs d injury. I looked
back at the clip again and it didn't look like
it was really legit. For w Online reports that the
knee injury seth Rows appeared to have suffer was a
work and it was also said the talented production were
worked into thinking it was legitimate. It's these little things

(16:11):
everybody thinks it's like so cool, like, oh, look, they're
playing k fabe still a reporter for the ads that
according to one source, Rawlins actually did have a very
minor knee injury going to the show, but which claim
is he's actually injured somewhat true, but nothing would came
out of actual without missing much time and the idea
of the work injuries to comments fans that Rawlins will

(16:31):
be out of action for a long period of time
and make a surprise early return with the cash and
of the money the bank contract. Okay, that's what they
want to do.

Speaker 1 (16:39):
Fine.

Speaker 3 (16:40):
Triple H noted that the Evolution post show that Rawlins
was backstage and things were inconclusive, but it didn't look good.
And by the way, they were in Merringham Birmingham of Alabama,
which could give them the alibi, saying, well, maybe Seth
Browngs met with doctor James Andrews and was going to
go under on our eye. Rich Eisen had Ceth wrongs

(17:01):
on his show on Wednesday, and Ron says there was
no update on a diagnosis regnning his knee to do
the swelling, and he would might miss us into the
amount of time and would be undergoing an evaluation in
Los Angeles soon. So everything points to saying, yeah, this
is not as the work. Okay, fine, but I mean
I've seen when we've gotten when you've gotten an injury before.
There was an injury he got and it was in

(17:23):
a I don't magic as gender mahall. Okay, I saw
that clip and that's where he did definitely get hurt.
You know, he's gotten hurt in other areas, but the
Thame thing goes. I think it also was the same
right knee he's been hurt on before, so for him
to go and play that off, He's played off the
knee injury even in matches. I remember he was seeing
him buckle like that as well, using it as a

(17:44):
storyline or people using the knee as a storyline in
a match to go ahead and get over on him.

Speaker 1 (17:48):
That's normal.

Speaker 3 (17:51):
And then on the top of everything else, besides what
it was seth wrongs, besides the fact that brown Breaker
went out and was holding up for the Oracle Paul Hayman.
Now he's called and for Bronson Reid and to get
all that stuff going on with the match. After all
of a sudden done at the end of Monday Night

(18:12):
Raw if you missed it, Roman Rains came back and
my question is what is he there for? Like, what
is it he's going to do now he's not going
up to the World time, he's not going into the
w title. I mean, it would be a I mean,
it sounds like it'd be pretty logical good to see
him take on John Cena in this retirement tour. I

(18:33):
don't know if he's gonna be or not, but apparently
Summer said he's gonna be there. Do we know what
he's gonna be doing. I don't know, but a talk
might be that bron Breaker might take on Roman Rains
and that'll be.

Speaker 1 (18:46):
The player, because originally it was gonna be seth.

Speaker 3 (18:48):
Raw's but they're not doing that yet. But he which way,
You know, ron Breaker was being made a big deal.
You were talking about it and one of the areas
that was being done for whatever reason. You know, bron
Breaker can talk, okay, I mean, he sounds like Scott
Steiner when you listen to him. But why did let

(19:09):
Paul Haman go ahead and confront Gunther in a setup
for the Gatlin match Learner the night? Paul Hayman is
the one setting up bron Breaker and he says this.

Speaker 5 (19:21):
Let him make this perfectly clear. Bron Breaker is the
next big thing. Bron Breaker is the big dog, and this, well,
this is bron Breaker's yard. They're not looking at just

(19:43):
another contender. He's a Steiner.

Speaker 3 (19:52):
And I don't think anybody really understands that. You're really expecting,
Paul for everybody to understand what do you mean what
you mean by Steiner. Everyone is gonna remember the attitude era.
You got a lot of younger viewers that probably won't
even know about it. If they're kind of paying attention,
they don't know.

Speaker 1 (20:07):
Plus doing the.

Speaker 3 (20:08):
Whole big dog thing that's his that's actually his father,
Rick Steiner, dog Face Grimlin. So now we're just combining
Steiners all together like we're supposed to understand that. So
I don't know if Paul is actually helping the case
here by being the oracle here in this group and
trying to go ahead and support bron Breaker. Bron Briger

(20:31):
would be just fine talking on himself. But anyway, Paul continues,
So you.

Speaker 5 (20:34):
Know what that means. He's gonna break through every barrier
that's put in front of him. He's gonna break through
the glass ceiling in WWE, and he's gonna break your
ass that SummerSlam. There's going to be a new world
heavyweight champion, a long term world heavyweight champion that Summer Slam,

(21:01):
and his name is brown Breaker.

Speaker 1 (21:08):
Okay, but we didn't get that match. Dan punk One fine.

Speaker 3 (21:15):
Bron Breaker being put into this right here and seeking
that the Paul Hamon endorsements going to make a difference
for him. No, so far, I have felt nothing that
has made bron Breaker feel more special in this group.
I'm gonna say it like this, This pairing of what
Paul Hayman has set up right now is worse than

(21:40):
when he had to sorrow at his side. It just
this right now, I don't feel anything here. I mean,
Paul Hayman is just he's paired with the wrong person
right now. And just because he was able to do
Ruined Rains a good thing with him, we didn't need
bron Breaker to have the same thing. And so like
right now now, putting brown Breaker into this group was

(22:02):
a mistake. He didn't need to be in a faction.
He has gotten nothing from this right now. I feel
like he's just been held back for three months. He
just got off an icy tititle run. Sure, they don't
want to hold on the belt for him for a
long time, but you know what, you want to turn
him a heel. He can go to heel on his
own' that's the easy part. And I don't know if

(22:25):
anything that he got from NXT. You know, this pure
energy and charisma and his power and everything he's done
that obviously got him over an NXT made a big deal,
but then you go and take him over here.

Speaker 1 (22:38):
And it's just not working.

Speaker 3 (22:41):
And dare I say, if it could have been Scott
Steiner that could be managing brown Breaker, I would have
preferred that. And there's no reason at all that Scott
Steiner could not be out here managing his nephew. I
don't believe why that couldn't be possible, but it could
have totally been possible. Right here would have been a

(23:02):
right start for him, because then the thing is, you
could have had Ron Briger really play off as like
the upstar, but like really it's kind of like where
Randy Orton had his father Bob Worton out there with
him at ringside, which worked out really well too. I
think you could have done that. And how often do

(23:22):
we get the generational move like that? I thought it
would have been wonderful.

Speaker 1 (23:28):
Dare I say that.

Speaker 3 (23:31):
When Cody Rhodes was making his way back into significance
after the Running Rig of Honor, he's a companied by
his wife, but then he's doing stuff in aw at
the very beginning of his onset T and T title
all this stuff right, and Arn Anderson as his coach.
Arn was just a good compliment to Cody Rhodes. And

(23:54):
look at the star powers that we.

Speaker 1 (23:55):
Have right Ron Briger does not need.

Speaker 3 (23:59):
If you're going to have him paired with anybody, it
didn't even be Paul Haman. I just don't think that
everybody can say that whoever Paul Hayman represents is instantly
going to be a star.

Speaker 1 (24:08):
It's just not.

Speaker 3 (24:11):
So. I just think that if Paul wants to be
out there managing, I kind of prefer he's not managing
right now at all. He did Bloodline and he did
a great job on it. Hey, good, good on you, man,
Pat in the back. I'd prefer Paul Hammen going back
and doing more and creative because he would be much
more useful back there if he was actually handling some
of the bigger main event storylines and wasn't on screen.

(24:36):
I'd prefer not to be on screen. I prefer just
going to be a part of this and help to
build in the in the and here instead of him
being the mentor of talent. Want to mentor talent and
do it backstage, but not now. At this point, I
just feel like Paul Haman, because of his spot right now,
he is being granted the chance to go and work

(24:57):
on this team. It's not working, and I don't see
what he's going to do to turn this around.

Speaker 1 (25:03):
I just don't see it.

Speaker 3 (25:06):
That's another problem when we're going to bring up in
there as well, and I'm looking at everything and I'm
saying to myself, okay, going by the next story I
had just read before, is that.

Speaker 1 (25:23):
There's this consistent, inconsistent.

Speaker 3 (25:25):
Cherry picked argument that falls apart in the moment you
hold up the actual scrutiny kind of call AW a
failure while giving the W pass on some of the
same grounds.

Speaker 1 (25:33):
Well, that's not necessarily true, but.

Speaker 3 (25:36):
That's one of the arguments that I've put out there,
but at least was well written out and kind of
thought through. But for the most part, it doesn't make
a difference. AW came off a good show. There's still
number two, and they're not expecting to be number one.
But with all the resources and the listen the press
right now that they have for summer Slam. I sawr

(25:58):
we Ripley and see him punk on some pop cast.
I saw you know, Staty Viaca is gonna do it.
I'm gonna do a live meet and greet coming up
in Houston, Texas. I see that, you know, Cody doing
his podcast and stuff and seeing others out there promoting
the event coming up. That's wonderful, but it's like, still

(26:21):
so much more that could be done right, and nobody's
actually talking about the fact that Okay. People were talking
to the fact that Okay, Saturday eighth min event was
number one in all prime time and they're demographic. The
overall audience one point four million viewers.

Speaker 1 (26:41):
Is that what I read? Right?

Speaker 3 (26:46):
I need to double check that, but yeah, I'm pretty
sure I thought I saw that Saturday that's main events
ratings it only it didn't break too million viewers. Just
a dope check once again. One point four two five

(27:08):
million viewers and it did do that, yes, but then
what did beat it was Major Day Baseball on Fox,
and it did beat the uc prelims on ESPN. Yeah,
but looking at the performance of Saturday Nights an event

(27:29):
on NBC since it came back, one point five to
nine million viewers on December fourteenth, one point four nine
on January twenty fifth, one point ninety seven on May
twenty fourth, and now this is the latest one one
point four three million viewers on July twelfth.

Speaker 1 (27:50):
Those are anemic numbers.

Speaker 3 (27:54):
You would think that the audience would just come out
of their way the go ahead and watch this show.
But you know, they did three matches, nothing really spectacular,
no title changes. They never have any right. They're like
a TNA level, you know, B level pay per view,
of which those monthly pay per views to do.

Speaker 1 (28:13):
On TNA plus, you.

Speaker 3 (28:14):
Almost always know they're never gonna do a title change
if there's gonna be any at all, and nothing overly
newsworthy on any of those shows as well, but people
will watch them anyway. So now there's somebody that's trying
to go viral right now. Jimmy Kimmel Live. They featured

(28:36):
jim Mcutarre and Randy Orton brawling on the set of
Jimmy Kimble Liive. And apparently Jerry Roll is in as
a guest host this week because Jimmy's out like for
the next week or couple of weeks or a month
or something like that. But anyway, here's what we got
so far about what ABC allowed on Jimmy Kimmel Live.

(28:58):
Doesn't get many good audience but any way, here's what
we got from Jimmy Kimmel on his show with guest
host Jelly Roll, and they play out the storyline for
Summer Sam with Dumagata, Randy Orton, Jelly Roll, and Logan Paul.

Speaker 5 (29:17):
Nobody flew here to see you act like a prick.

Speaker 1 (29:19):
Wrong time, wrong place?

Speaker 2 (29:21):
Once you back.

Speaker 1 (29:24):
World?

Speaker 5 (29:24):
Did you know it?

Speaker 2 (29:40):
I don't know what to do.

Speaker 3 (29:42):
I just lost.

Speaker 5 (29:43):
I guess.

Speaker 3 (29:43):
I guess we're gonna go to commercial break. Commercial. Actually no,
I don't think we're gonna go to commercial breaks.

Speaker 5 (29:57):
Look to be ap. The people are so stupid.

Speaker 1 (30:02):
Someone has to stop him.

Speaker 2 (30:04):
What are you?

Speaker 1 (30:05):
Dummy?

Speaker 5 (30:05):
You were late night talk show host.

Speaker 3 (30:07):
You're a wrestler, You're a country star.

Speaker 1 (30:09):
I told you this, mister dummy.

Speaker 3 (30:11):
Roll stay in your lane, stupid, because I'll tell you.

Speaker 2 (30:15):
What you are.

Speaker 5 (30:19):
You, my friend, are our greasy redneck prison rat.

Speaker 1 (30:24):
Who the hell love?

Speaker 3 (30:26):
Jelly Roll has your receipt?

Speaker 1 (30:28):
Stupid?

Speaker 3 (30:28):
Hey, congrats, it's Logan Paul show now a real superstar.

Speaker 4 (30:32):
So ladies and gentlemen, you want to see a real star.

Speaker 5 (30:37):
I'm here.

Speaker 1 (30:37):
Why don't you believe?

Speaker 2 (30:38):
Huh?

Speaker 3 (30:53):
I'm surprised at the table didn't have a slim Jim
logo on it.

Speaker 1 (30:55):
You me.

Speaker 3 (31:08):
All right, So there's what happened if you didn't hear
in the commentary. Yes, while Drew Mcatar and Logan Paul
wrestled each other offset, they do a quick setup where
Jelly Roll choke slams Logan Paul through the desk, which
was obviously a plant to desk, not the normal desk
that's up there. Yeah, but this is what they put together.

(31:35):
I mean, no storyline really behind it. This is, you know,
in the same comparison of Eric Bischoff taking over the
Tonight Show with Jeleno. It's kind of like the same idea.
But you know, I guess the Jimmy Kimble program didn't
care about having this on because you know, they they'll

(31:56):
take anything for ratings right now, because their ratings are
not good, barely blip of a million viewers every night.
But then again, that's all late night TV. There's none
of them worth watching.

Speaker 1 (32:04):
I'll just say that too. So I'm looking to.

Speaker 3 (32:11):
See there's anything about this and if it's getting over
it all. I couldn't tell you if it is, but
I'm just looking to find out if there's any kind
of anything at all where we're seeing some any kind
of I don't see anything right now about Jimmy Kimmel
or anything like that at the moment that is getting

(32:33):
people to talk about it.

Speaker 1 (32:34):
I don't know yet.

Speaker 3 (32:35):
I'm looking right now, so at the moment, I'm still looking.
And you know, when they saw Randy Orton working together,
I forgured it was going to happen anyway.

Speaker 1 (32:51):
But you know, it's whatever.

Speaker 3 (32:57):
I'm just looking to see there's anything here at all,
if it's getting any trying to tracture right now. But
this really just happened as we're doing this. But Jelly
Roll is obviously getting the run now to do the
rounds of media setting everything up.

Speaker 2 (33:15):
Why not?

Speaker 1 (33:19):
I will say this too.

Speaker 3 (33:20):
I'm actually surprised from people that were actually talking about
the fact that why was gun Through sitting in the
stands just looking like nothing to hold the belt and
watch the gauntlet match and said he could have been
one commentary at at least for some part of it.
I don't know why, but you know, I'm looking to
see this at all in terms of trending right now. No,
this is just happening, and you know what, not a thing.

(33:43):
I am looking and it doesn't look like we're getting
much of anything off of what happened just now.

Speaker 1 (33:50):
Off of that nothing.

Speaker 3 (33:54):
At the moment we're watching on X Yeah, literally about
twenty minutes ago, this happened on Jimmy kim Alive. Shane
gillis that the SP's is trending right now. AW Dynamite
is second, and von Miller getting trade to the Commanders
is third, that's it, and Ocada's fourth.

Speaker 1 (34:10):
Among other things.

Speaker 3 (34:12):
Interesting altogether, I'm looking, I see nothing about Jimmy Kimball
right now, or Jelly Roll or anybody are to look.

Speaker 1 (34:22):
Upon anything like that at all. Nothing.

Speaker 4 (34:24):
It's all quiet.

Speaker 3 (34:28):
And the Netflix ratings just to go through that as well.
Their current set up for the July seventh dist raw
reported this week two point six million viewers, four point
seven million hours viewed for the week, a top ten
show in eight countries and the global top ten number
seven for English language TV programs.

Speaker 2 (34:51):
That's it.

Speaker 3 (34:54):
So now we're seeing what they're doing for SummerSlam.

Speaker 1 (34:58):
The setup for that.

Speaker 3 (35:00):
AW is just in his own lane, you know, they
set up things. Adam Coplan is now going by his
full name. He wants to go out there. AFTR M.
Jeff is calling himself best in the world. He's got
the contract under the Casino Gaunlet match. He wants to
go ahead and take care of things. Darby on Stars Down,
John Moxley and Tony Storm says Martine Manley was delicious

(35:26):
and wouldn't have a problem going back here to again.
You know, we'll go to the buffet that is Mercedes
and just go one more time at it that they
want to go at it.

Speaker 1 (35:34):
That's pretty much it.

Speaker 3 (35:38):
And meanwhile AW is just in its own lane post
all In fallout, and they're moving a long sunny things up.

Speaker 1 (35:45):
That's fine.

Speaker 3 (35:49):
One of the things that's being brought up as well
here in terms of what they're gonna be doing for Collision,
which goes back to Saturday nights this week, the natural
Dustin Rose is gonna go talk, so that's also fall
fall off from all In, and there're gonna be more
tag team matches multiman tag team matches that have been

(36:11):
setting up from this week, and they're gonna do the
same thing for Saturday night.

Speaker 1 (36:15):
The plan to go and do that.

Speaker 3 (36:16):
Following everything else. And of course they got a few
weeks out before they go ahead and do Forbidden Door Toronto,
so they got time. They're gonna just work things out
and get things set up. Tony Kahn spoke with Q
one to one radio in Chicago as they're doing the
residency right now for AW and he stated that the

(36:38):
company is doing quote the best work we've ever done,
and then he attributes a significant shift in his personal
approach to the creative process. This is interesting to what
he's saying right now, where the creative process is going
through a change, and that's also lining up with what
happened with AW when you felt there was a creative
change that wasn't working right overall because we saw where

(37:03):
they were doing some of the storylines and you know,
John Moxing Death Writers was running rough shot everywhere person
to get not necessarily in the right space, yet getting
over the fact that they're a tack team champions and
they're beating everybody up. Adam Copen, Christian Cage.

Speaker 1 (37:20):
Stuff going on.

Speaker 3 (37:21):
Also being in front and center at cross things, and
that was there was some of the booking decisions that
were being talked about that people were not happy about.
So Tony Kahn says he has taking a more direct,
hands on role in booking the show, similar to his
process during the twenty twenty pandemic era. So he says

(37:43):
in late twenty twenty four and early this year, he
felt a change was needed to restore the feeling of
the company had in its earlier years. I had that
same realization that I need to do what I did
five years ago and just block out everything and just
focused on aw and not listen to anybody's advice, everybody's advice,
and maybe just make the show what I think is
be He compared his current process to what he did
in twenty nineteen. I just decided, Okay, I'm going to

(38:05):
scrap the meetings. I'm gonna get a pencil on paper.
I'm just going to get organized by myself. And you
could tell that Tony does book.

Speaker 1 (38:13):
This on his own.

Speaker 3 (38:14):
I can see it now pretty clearly. Once you can
see that after the broadcast deal was finalized with Warner
Brogs Discovery, their extension to continue on for another for
three years with a fourth option or your option just
went along and he realized, Okay, that's what's going to happen.
He couldn't necessarily, he had to go and do negotiations

(38:36):
to make sure everything was done, but also we had
the NBA deal. This has been talking about extensively on
this program. I explained it, and I could tell that
Tony Kahan must have been back of the pencil booking
these shows because we could tell the difference last six months.
You could tell tell difference a lot like after revolution.

Speaker 1 (38:54):
You can tell a difference.

Speaker 3 (38:56):
It's it's significant right now.

Speaker 1 (39:01):
More than anything.

Speaker 3 (39:04):
So he says he explained that while he values the
input of the great people backstage to contribute ideas, he
realized he needed to be the ultimate filter. Instead of
trying to take the best ideas from everyone and incorporate them,
it'll have have it be a mix of everyone's ideas
I just come up with. I basically started running my
own outlines. So he makes that point here, and it's

(39:27):
very clear about that.

Speaker 1 (39:31):
When it came to.

Speaker 3 (39:32):
Hayman Adam Page becoming the AW World Champion this weekend,
he says that this decision was playing for a long time,
and when he was asked if Hangman was gonna be
the right guy, he says, a long time ago, Hangman
was always the guy for me. There was no question
Hangman Page was the man to step up and fight
John Moxley, who had beaten down aw's locker room and

(39:54):
con did praise Boxley's nine month reign as champion and
he's one.

Speaker 1 (39:58):
Of the greatest stresses in the world.

Speaker 3 (40:00):
PEO will not credit Maxie for doing exactly what he
said he was going to do in AW, uniting aw's
fan base and for somebody to step up and fight him. Okay,
One other things I saw that was going on right
now that is pretty significant for W and I'm not
surprised by this, but there are now going to be
online casino games available in casinos in Michigan, New Jersey,

(40:24):
Pennsylvania in time for SummerSlam fanatics. Benning and Gaming are
setting this up. This is a big deal, so keep
this in mind, folks. Of course, the sports community with
Tikyo Group holdings, they're trying to have the sports community,
the betting community embrace we which if you're gonna have

(40:44):
sports right now, you want to have sports gambling be
a part of all this because all the advertising is
coming from that. There's so many ad dollars right now
from sports gambling companies. FanDuel having its own, you know,
set of regionals. Worse networks previously was Balley Sports. You

(41:05):
see bet MGM, you see ESPN with their own now
site with bet and Fox has the Fox six. Like
everybody's gotten themselves into the game of sports betting as
it's being made allowed more and more than ever. So
W with Tica Group Holdings and Fanatics Betting and Gaming,

(41:25):
which already does run w B shop the finas f
STOC every year and W stars are always constantly there
for those events. Now it's a new multi year licensing
agreement for Fanatics Betting and Gaming produce online casino games
in the US. So W themed online cosito games exclusively
for Fanatics casino trobill on iOS, Android and web in Michigan, Pennsylvania,

(41:49):
New Jersey, and West Virginia. So not actual casino games
on site, not actual physical casinos, but we never know,
but they'll need. These new online casino games will launch
it day in July, just in time for Summer Slam.
And the w FINAX partnership has already been set up
because Tiko Group Holdings Puticta because they want to have

(42:12):
somebody really powerful to go and control merchandise and how
it's being set because the partnership already have is global
e commerce, licensed merchandise, memorabilia and producing and distributing a
growing lineup.

Speaker 1 (42:22):
Of digital shows, so they're pulling through. It looks that
they have five games.

Speaker 3 (42:32):
To be made available. So in the games, you'll have
a pure portfolio of games that are available. You'll be
able to use fan cash that will work on every
spin hand or roll, win or lose, and you can
also use the fan cash because you know, credit, bonus bets,
exclusive apparel, et cetera. Live yaler action professional dealers will

(42:55):
be able to be engaged with in real time through
the live casino feature where you can go and experienced
the excitement of live blackjack, roulette and baccarat all of
the comfort of your own home. So yeah, getting the
fan base into gambling, look at that, you want to

(43:18):
talk about making some money because in this partnership, obviously
there's going to be something on the back end for
TKO Grip Holdings by getting the fans into gambling, making
them new gamblers, that they would they would have that
discussion income. Obviously they're going and pay for the events
that they're going through right now. But think about it,

(43:39):
they want to do this right here and set this
up so that the fans, specifically it will be a
part of this will get themselves into gambling. Part of
it will be that they think that the casino games
will get more of an interest into the nut from
the outside in. But at the same time, the loyal, devoted, juveitial,
delusional fans might buy into this and want to get

(44:02):
apart into begin the betting process and putting you in
the full casino features here to bet. So that's a
plan that's been put into place. I thought it was
really interesting to see that. I hadn't heard anybody really
talking about that yet, but that's something that's coming up.

Speaker 2 (44:20):
So far.

Speaker 3 (44:20):
Like I said, six matches for Summer Slim coming up.
Let's go and talk about Slimiversary coming up this weekend.
It will be on Sunday Elma, New York u BES Arena.
It looks like it's going to be a sellout, about
a good five thousand folks in the arena for that
the twenty first event under Slimmiversary's name, and there'll be

(44:44):
the twenty third anniversary of the promotion. M hm.

Speaker 1 (44:50):
So now let's go and set up with what's actually happening.

Speaker 3 (44:52):
So we already know that we're going to have the
tiny world title set up on the line with Trick
Williams going up against Joe Henry and Mike sand Tanna.
Trick Williams has been now being called trick Na and
the promotion as he's getting set up, and he did
the defend the title on n XT against Mike Saintann

(45:12):
and Josh Briggs, not on TENA programming, but on either
which way. Santana Morella, a teenage director of Authority, has
granted Henry a rematch for the world title as Semmiversary,
so you want to get a chance for him to
go and try to win the belt back.

Speaker 1 (45:25):
We'll see.

Speaker 3 (45:29):
For the Exhibsion title at Against all odds, Leon Slater
Penn moves to an eight man tag team match, putting
him in contention for the Exhibsion title. Must Of Ali
and Cedric Alexander. Things were going on where must Of
Ali was getting aggressive and was being abusive to the

(45:51):
order for Tasha Steeles, John Scaler and Jason Hodge, and
then was a called arms match that was being set
up where Cedric Alexander would confront must Of Ali. That

(46:11):
came at the direction of Tasha Steeles and now Allen
Alexander will take a match at Semiversary. The knockouts World
Tag team titles be on the line. Inspiration. They returned
to TNA at the Countdown to the Against All Odds
pre show, going after the Elegance brand, Ash by Elegance,
Heather by Elegance, and m by Elegance, making title intentions clear.

(46:33):
Title intention is clear.

Speaker 1 (46:34):
Excuse me.

Speaker 3 (46:36):
Ash by Elegance won a Battle Royal for a future
Teenage Knockouts World title, and TNA would announce the Inspiration
would challenge Ash and Heather by Elegance for the Knockouts
World Tag Team titles. As Semiversary write, you know, jac
Jane retained her n XT Women's title at Great American Bash,

(47:04):
so we had evolution. That's right, evolution. You got a
little bit confusing there, some of which retained her title
against Killer Kelly during TV tapings Ambush by a Fatal Influence,
and then the title versus title match was announced for
the team and they knockout the world title and the
NXT Women's Championship at Dinniversary. All set up for that,

(47:28):
so in the matches they already have set up for
this weekend. We just mentioned some of the names the
Nembens will take on. The Hardy's, the Rascals, and First
Class for the world tag team titles. So I'm expecting
Sut Williams to win the TEENA World title. I expect
Moose to retain the Exhibsion title for the tag team titles.

(47:48):
I'm gonna go with first Class. That's not the that's
our course favorite. I don't think anybody's gonna pick them,
but we're gonna pick that. Tessa Blanchet, Indie Heartwell.

Speaker 1 (47:58):
I will take.

Speaker 3 (47:59):
Tessa Blanchet, but you know what this has been taking losses,
so Andy Hartwell will to win. I'll take Cedric Alexander
of her most stuff, I'll LEI. I'll take the Inspiration
because the w component you know, they're former stars in
that company. I just think that Teenage Booking is not
going to be to their own device. I think they're

(48:20):
going to have a lot of influence by Shawn Michael's
NXT team, and so what are they god and decide
to do? So if they want to go and say
the Inspiration wins, they'll say the Inspiration could win mas
So Slimovich, Jesse Jane Toddawer's title. I hate to say it,
but I expected to happen now now that we already

(48:41):
have to change. I thought, if Jordan Grace one, they
were going to do this thing where she was going
to be double champion, but they decided to go and
make the plans to put Blake Monroe in a program
with Jordan Grace and completely just turn around the whole
idea of what they were going to do originally, which
I didn't even know.

Speaker 2 (49:00):
But like the.

Speaker 3 (49:03):
Debut of Blateman Row just as an on air character,
and now Fallly gonna have her singles match her singles
debut coming up on a st all coming together, So
Jordia Gaze is completely off the card. Nothing with TNA
at this card. I was actually got a surprise by that.
But I will not be surprised that JC Jane wins
the ten A Knockouts title and it's double champion. I

(49:24):
see that happening. I don't think they're gonna keep the
belt in Marshall Simovitch, I don't see it. I can
totally see where fatal influence obviously will come in. It
doesn't matter if Lee Ying Lee and as Yea Brooks
side are at Mashall Simmovich's side, Fatal influence will be
and there will be around ringside and there will be
too much to overcome.

Speaker 1 (49:44):
JCGM will most likely win.

Speaker 3 (49:46):
That's what I expect for that seven matches. By the way,
on the card for the main card. I don't know
if they're gonna have anything for the pre show, but yeah,
that's the plan. We'll see what works out. Are We're
gonna call like that tonight. We're gonna come back this
Sunday and do a post show for simmer Versity. I
will catch a show. You know, anytime it's a DNA
pay per view, you know you're true is going to
