Speaker 1 (00:00):
Tonight on LFG. All the damn work.
Speaker 2 (00:02):
I'll put it in with you, blue fisto, What can
you do with this person who's new?
Speaker 3 (00:09):
So they look good, you look good, and everybody's safe
as well.
Speaker 1 (00:14):
Put him on a black leather jogging a black eye,
Jeff Lippman. It looked like she was too slow for school,
but she came out playing the hot mean girl.
Speaker 4 (00:22):
I look really good. Bos and put him in this
new bold, and put him in this new bold, and
Breda put in this new and left G Season two,
episode thirteen. I'm sick as FuG but I did watch
it Hi on fucking cold medicine.
Speaker 3 (00:44):
Oh yeah, how are you? Jeff? I might sound a
little bit like today, but I'm here. I'm here, I
made it. I'm alive.
Speaker 1 (00:53):
Ish you do sound a little bit like the monster
from Cobweb. I will say that. And by the way,
nobody should watch the movie cop Web. It is horrendous.
I too am fighting a sore throat, and usually I
would take a Cinnamoni fan for it, but since I've
been told that it's it's dangerous, I'm afraid to because
(01:15):
apparently I will instantly turn to a squirrel. My ankles
will switch sides and my tongue will be upside down.
So I'm not going to take any cim off and
I'm just going to tough my way through it and
continue to take magic red pills from the Latino store,
which lists a bunch of vitamins on the back, but
somehow is the most effective painkiller I've ever taken, not
(01:38):
in a hospital.
Speaker 3 (01:39):
A good shit, good ship singing of good shit. He
for this episode of LFG, it was now time for
the boys to get eliminated by their own coaches. And
while Shawn Michael comes in and he said, well, talk
(01:59):
about follow that, and actually his favorite from all the
girls from last week was Danny Sikowski. He said she
was phenomenal and actually awards are one extra point. So
and Danny goes, I'm better than all the other women.
This is my time, blah blah blah. And that's pretty
much everything we see from the begoting anything you want
(02:22):
to mention about mister Michael's intervention the year.
Speaker 1 (02:26):
Well, I mean, I guess the only other part is
that that means one more point for Team Taker. I
don't really know if he's still three behind Michelle or
if he's now two by Michelle or how that's going.
But I don't think any points were awarded last week,
so I think now he would be two behind his wife,
and that was the only point. They also told us
nothing about Bjay at the top of the show and
(02:48):
what was happening with that, and they left it for
a little surprise at the end, which obviously I don't
want to tease spoil here, even though the show aired
three days ago.
Speaker 3 (03:00):
Well, we start again with Team Taker. He says it's
time to put up or shut up, and sitting in
front of him are, of course, Drake Luroe and Shiloh Hill.
Shiloh says he knows how it is, you know when
you lose. He says that America has seen him choke
in the finals and you want to make sure it
doesn't happen again. And Drake, you know, take your mention
(03:25):
that his lows were very low and his high were
very high, which I thought was interesting because even the
things that Drake was not doing perfectly, I don't think
it was I could qualify as very low. I thought, yeah,
I thought he had a good season, and I'm like, okay,
I don't know, I don't see that.
Speaker 1 (03:48):
Yeah, I didn't see his I mean, maybe whatever lows
he had were really low, but for the most part,
like his highs were really high. But most of the
time he was fine, He was okay. Most of his
time is he was in averageville and you know, or
slightly above. So, you know, I don't know what if
that was just for drama, but that's exactly what was said.
(04:08):
And I don't know that Shiloh arguing that, you know,
everyone in America got to see him choke on on
this big stage is really a good selling point. He said,
I'm not gonna let it happen again. But a lot
of people say a lot of things, including another person
we're gonna talk to a head out later in the
in the uh in this show.
Speaker 3 (04:27):
Or two so takers, yeah, takers asking them like are
you a killer? And what I thought was really funny
is that Drake, Well, not funny, but interesting to me
is that Drake wouldn't say anything bad about Shiloh when
actually Taker asked him like, hey, why shouldn't he succeed?
And Drake actually had the very good answer of you know,
(04:49):
I don't have anything bad to say about him. I
think we're one of like the two best guys in
the competition, we should be in the finals one on one.
And I really like the fact that even in this
before the match happens, he puts Shiloh over, which means,
you know, and means something if he actually beats him.
If you bring down your opponent and you beat him,
(05:10):
what does it mean you beat nothing? It doesn't mean anything.
Who cares, who gives a shit? But at least but
if you beat someone who is good, then it makes
you even better. So I like that with with Drake.
I like this attitude. He says he learned a lot
from being with Taker, So you know, at the beginning
of this season, when he refused to join Team Bubba,
(05:33):
I think it was the right choice for him, big
guy Agile, you know, being trained by a big guy,
and it was Agile as well, was the perfect perfect
choice for Drake Burrow.
Speaker 1 (05:43):
I mean, first of all, I think this was Drake's
best promo and he sort of took what he said
in the you know, the coach on two guys, you
know in the middle of the ring where they do
their counseling or pep talk whatever it is, And yeah,
you're right, Drake sort of hesitated to say that he
was a killer, and then he said yes, and you know,
Shiloh's yes, sir, No, no hesitation. I mean, I get it.
(06:05):
They're supposed to be killers. It's a competition, but they're
also supposed to make sure each other is safe. And
and we know that, like most people didn't, industries support
each other. So you know enough already with the I'm
here to kill, you know you're not. You're here to
make it look like you're killing. Some want to make
it look real, but actually not hurt them, or at
least not hurt them beyond what is acceptable. You know
(06:25):
that given month anyway, the Drake promo was a lot
about it was like he harnesses. It's like, yeah, Shiloh's
really great and he's been terrific and he's a winter
but he choked and you know, you're my best friend here.
But you know what, I'm leaving that all outside. And
he cut an emotional, spirited promo re energy and it
(06:46):
felt authentic, and it's like I've actually like he always
feels authentic on camera when he's just talking about himself.
He doesn't always feel authentic with his character, and this
his character everything about him felt authentic. So this this
was Drake's best you know showing as a promo anyhow.
Speaker 3 (07:04):
And full the match and match started with of course
both had entrances Shiloh nice fire, good entrance, nothing new
from the past week, but it was it was okay,
you want to cheer him, but definitely a babyface and
Drake went above and beyond. I thought he had a
great babyface entrance. He went into the crowd, you know,
(07:24):
to give the beads to a lady, and even the
camera guys at some like it, and even the coaches
were like, oh, that's cool, you know, like he's finally
getting it. Like I I get into the song, I
get into like everything he's doing. I want to be
part of whatever by you world he's part of. So yeah,
(07:45):
he's he's grown a lot on me when it comes
to character, like I think he had. He has found
what was missing at the beginning for you know, he
had the music but was not really into it. Now
he plays with the music and uses it. So that
was good. And the match started with his you know
solid lock ups showing that boat were like they had
(08:07):
equal strength, you know, tackles and clothesline not falling like
equals fighting. It was a little bit too fast to
my liking like they were. They were working like fast,
but every shot like they were good. They were solid.
At one point Drake went for a drop kick which
was really impressive, and even the one two one punch
(08:29):
two points like they were registering, they were selling. I
wished it would have been more sound and facial expressions,
which is something that's been missing a lot from most
of the contestint and it's always something that's missing. When
you're starting. You're so focused on not fucking up the
moves that you forget about this, so hopefully eventually it'll
(08:51):
come naturally. They were doing good covers and good kickout.
There was a solid discus lariat from Drake. I felt
that Rake like was more aggressive. He was the baby
face that had more aggression, so he was kind of
playing the heel role, meaning he was doing it on Shiloh,
but never cheating because he was still a baby face still,
(09:14):
you know, obeying by the rules, listening to the referee.
Shiloh went into his belly to back at you a
neck breaker one two three, and that was it. It
was a simple match. The story was clear. Nothing fancy everything, Like, no,
I like this match, like the story was, Yeah, two
guys of the same two good guys fighting for a price,
(09:37):
respecting each other, but you know, of equal strength. So yeah,
the story was simple. It worked with me. And one
thing though, is my choice was not Hilda Ill. I
thought Drake Moreau looked a lot better in this one.
Speaker 1 (09:55):
Yeah. I mean, normally I don't like it when it's
face on face, especially these training things, but here it worked,
and it worked with the story and not the story.
Apparently their real life dynamic, they're close, so it worked
all around. I think the match was pretty good. I
agree with you. I think that Drake is the one
who really showed up. What I thought was really funny
(10:16):
about this is that Booker the entire time was trying
to talk up Drake. And with Booker you can't tell
if he's sincere or if he just doesn't want take
her to advance Shiloh. And I think that he didn't
want take her to advance Shiloh. Although Drake actually did
perform better, he showed up. But over the course of
(10:38):
two seasons, and they're both two season veterans, Shiloh has
been sort of more the consistent player, but he does
seem to choke or not put in great performances when
it's the most important. And this is like, oh, for two,
he wasn't bad. He didn't choke, but he wasn't great.
As far as the ending, I agree, it was like, yeah,
(11:00):
it was a fine the belly to belly and then
it's sort of a neck breaker. It was abrupt one, two, three.
I guess they were against the time, but I don't know.
Other matches seemed to work better. I think we all
sort of knew what was going to happen. But I
have if you were basing it on this match, I
would have advanced Drake. And you feel the same way,
(11:23):
and some other people felt the same way. And it
does play into the show a little bit later on,
but I mean, I've already ruined it the end of the NBS.
So obviously Taker went with his usual like I have
to think about who's the best position to win, and
so Shilah, I'm going with you my number one pick. Okay,
I mean, you know whatever. So it feels like the
fix was in.
Speaker 3 (11:43):
But all right, yeah, even Bubba said, like, you know what,
Drake was better today, and Taker goes like it was
a wrong day to have a bad day, and other
coaches did pick Drake, like Shiloh had a bad night.
That's according to Taker. I don't think it was a
bad night. Was like a it's like Zena, like he's good,
(12:04):
but he doesn't stand down when he needs to. I
feel it's the same thing for both. They're really good.
They have lots of potential, but yeah, it's it's like
they're sitting on their laurels or I don't know, if
they're they're afraid of more, more exposure or power more,
(12:24):
I don't know, like advancing and having more pressure. I
don't know what it is. But yeah, he picked Shiloh
and I was like, all right, is it gonna be
like that all night? Like pretty much they're gonna pick
who like they're not gonna be They're not gonna taken
consideration what just happened in the ring now, because if
we go day by day, match by match, this was
(12:48):
Drakes and he's like overall, it's like last week Jamison
did a lot better than Zena and for that match
she should have been chosen, but no, Bubba went like, oh,
I'm gonna go with you know, the one I think
blah blah blah Zina, and you're like, so what's the
purpose of having the match? If you would tell me
(13:08):
if the person's doing a great job it means she
will come back next season, then I'm like, okay, you
know good, or if you know the person does like Tatiana,
where it's two seasons in a row where you're like, Okay,
she's not coming back, But Jamison showed so much improvement
that even if she's not going in the finals, now
(13:31):
for sure she's coming back next season because she's improved.
If there was anything at stake, I would get it,
But now it's like, why are we having this match
if you already know who you want to go up there?
So I'm gonna have the same questions for a lot
of matches.
Speaker 1 (13:47):
Yeah, I'm not gonna say it's a theme, but it's
not the only time it's happened the Season's not the
only time it happens tonight. But there are I think
there are certain distinctions early when you said, like Shiloh,
you know, sometimes it seems like he doesn't really show
that he wants it. You can't really say it for
one of these guys, and we're talking about Booker talking
(14:09):
to his team Harlem and Chris Island and Booker really
he just wants them to show show him, are you
really that dog? And then you just see Booker alone saying,
whichever one of them punches the other one in the mouth,
that's the Then I'm gonna know who I'm gonna pick.
Which Again, I.
Speaker 3 (14:26):
Go, what the fuck? Seriously, what the fuck?
Speaker 1 (14:31):
Aren't they not supposed to be punching each other in
the mouth? But really looking like really make it look close,
like like like last night on NXC, Laney reads knee
to Candieler's face was perfect, and slow motion showed she
Candiselra's turn was at the right turn and it hit
the side of her face, not but in full speed.
It looks like she, you know, would have shoved her
(14:53):
nose through the back of her head. It was beautiful.
It was perfect way too. Does this the guy who
punches the other one in the face, the other one
who fake punches the other one?
Speaker 3 (15:05):
Are you talking about intensity? Where you it's so good
that you actually believe it, then you know I'm in
It needs to be intense, and it needs to be look,
it needs to look like you're killing them but you're
actually not. But it needs to, you know, and it looks,
it has to look real. I I know this is
scripted or whatever in practice, but as a fan, I
(15:26):
want to look at it and actually, you know, believe
in the magic. It's like when I watch Gunter Gunter wrestling,
I fucking believe that, or Seamus, I believe these guys
are beating the shit out of each other. They are,
but they won't actually hurt each other. Of course, they're
gonna feel it tomorrow, and Shame is gonna be fucking
blue because he's white a fuck, but they're they're gonna
(15:46):
be all right. It's gonna look great, but they're gonna
be all right. Nobody's gonna be injured or not able
to go to work the next day. But anyway, Chris
you know, says he's gonna do anything everything, and Arlem
goes like, you you're not a killer, you're just pretending,
which well he's not wrong. So we get into the
match and Arleum comes out and I'm like, oh my god,
(16:09):
he looks like Steve Blackman and doctor and then had
a baby. That's that's how I see Arlen Lewis. Pretty much.
Speaker 1 (16:16):
He comes out with palpable menace and that's and that's great.
And Chris still feels wrong in his karate gee and
doing like hand gesture is really small. And Chris still
sort of feels to me like he's a kid in
a in a Halloween costume a little bit to me,
I Harlem's right, Chris is a little bit of a
of a pretender. I've like last we saw Chris, he's like, boy,
(16:39):
that kid, I stowed him away, but now I'm gonna
let him out, and it's not going to be pretty, the.
Speaker 3 (16:44):
Danger's coming whatever. I was like, I was waiting for it.
Speaker 1 (16:47):
All right, Wolverine, I mean, what's happening here? But it
was more so that said I'm gonna let you take
the match, because I think they were going to come
to the same conclusions.
Speaker 3 (16:58):
Yeah, So his entrance was like again, more like a
UFC fighter, very focused, and you know, I felt it
was what it was like. He looked more like a
UFC fighter than an actual pro wrestler. Sometime, if done right,
it works, but in this case, it was just like
(17:19):
you said, and I think Bubba says as well. Everything
he does is too small, like you barely see what
he's doing. I mean, at least for RLM, he was
doing the trash talk, you know. I like the push,
the back and forth pushing at the beginning, the takedown
into the wristlock, the word, and you know, there was
(17:39):
sounds of struggling trying to get out of it, so
that part like it looked real. So the shine, you know,
with the kick, the monkey flip, the clothesline. It was
a good sequence, but again too small. Everything was so small.
I liked the cutoff where there was the grab pants
and a good shot to the back from RLM. He
slowed down the past and I love when you actually
(18:03):
punch someone and you sell, you sell your your your knuckles.
You're like, oh, I punched them so hard, my hand hurts.
And Arlin was doing that. I really like that was
trying to get out of holes, fighting back. So that's
a good babyface thing to have that. I really liked.
The belly to belly was nice. The match was kind
(18:23):
of weird the way it was set up because Island
was over most of the match and then Arlem reverses
a super lex into the jack Ammer one two three.
I thought the structure of the match was weak. There
was no selling. It was a match. There was no
(18:45):
major errors, but you know, and Arlin was not vocal
and intense as he usually is. I felt he was
kind of quiet. You know. Overall, my choice was Arlem Lewis.
He stands out when he he's in the zone, he's
really in the fucking zone. But for this one, he
kind of it's like he knew he was going to
(19:07):
the next round. Something that I just went through the motions.
Chris did better than you know the last matches, but
everything was too small. And the commentators, you know, we're
talking about Arlem, and they were like, he doesn't care
about human life. I'm like, well say it to his face,
because in this match, he didn't sell it at all,
(19:29):
like he knew he was going to again, knew what's
going to the next round. And even Bubba said he's like,
no one shine more than the other, and I agree.
I mean, Arlem was just better overall because he is
overall better. But and you know, Chris was like, oh,
I improved a lot and I will do me. I'm like, well,
(19:49):
I was waiting the new you from whatever you said
last week. And the wrestling part was better but still small,
and I haven't seen the character you were talking about.
So I was like, yeah, eh, okay, so that's it.
Harlem goes to the next round. No surprise, but no
excitement either.
Speaker 1 (20:09):
Yeah. I mean, I you know, the whole match, I was,
you know, and hearing Chris's candidates afterwards. I was sort
of picturing what Harlem was saying about him when they
were talking to Booker, and it is sort of like
blah blah blah blah blah blah blah. You talk to me,
you talk, you talk, and you know, it was good
Harlem open with the shove. I like that. I like
the aggressiveness. I very much liked the you know, the
(20:30):
clothesline from behind for whatever reason. I think those are
very impactful. But you're right, most of the match was
fifty to fifty, and most of the match was not
particularly impressive. I mean, it was sort of dullish. Harlem
was talking a lot in the beginning, but then it's
like he forgot he needed to talk and he stopped.
Speaker 5 (20:46):
Chris.
Speaker 1 (20:47):
I don't know. I mean, Okay, one thing that was fantastic.
He clearly accidentally endsugguried himself outside of the loose, Like
yeah about that. He ends agurted Harlem in the corner
and he and he basically his own and took him
out of the ring. And they're like, did he need
to do They're like they're like, no, that wasn't part
of the plan, and they're like, look good. It did
look good. And there was one sequence towards the end
(21:11):
where where Chris put together like four or five moves
in a row, which is great, and they all looked
good and they looked impressive. But he can only do
that in spots. It's like he he'll have like in
a six minute match, he'll have like ninety seconds that
look really good, but they're there, but sixty seconds of
(21:31):
them will be together, the other thirty seconds will spread
be spread throughout, and the rest of the time it's
just sort of met. And I think that Harlem was
sort of met. But in the case of meh Ty
goes to the guy who you think is going to
actually kill someone who wants it, and Chris does feel
like a pretender. Now I actually thought that by a nose,
by a nose, that Chris was actually better in this match,
(21:55):
but based on his body of work, based on his
body language, based on the fact he always looks like
he's gonna cry. Yeah, based on that, Harlem just he
just you can't teach when somebody walks out and you're
scared of them. I mean, Brock has that, Chris ben
Wi had it. Steve Williams had it, Doctor Destiny Williams,
not Steve Austin, though he had it too. They're there.
(22:19):
There are people Bobby Lashley has it.
Speaker 5 (22:22):
There.
Speaker 1 (22:22):
There are people just like Orton has. There are people
who just look like they're full of menace, Dan Severn,
you know, they're people regarded. They just look like they're
going to kill you. And Harlem Lewis looks like he's
going to kill you. It looks like he wants to
kill you, and it looks like he wants to eat you.
And he may even throw up and eat you a
second time because he just wants to because he wants
to kill you twice. And so Booker picked Harlem. I
(22:46):
think it was the right call. I know it was
the right call. Yeah. And then we see Chris like
sort of in a costume almost like with like Machramn
Randy Savage glasses, different headgear he's he's looking at and
he's in his car and he's Basically he was sort
of like, oh, so they were they were making a
joke out of me, or or Booker wants to ride
with Harlament and he saw making excuses and okay, I
(23:09):
get it, to fix it. And he reminded me right
then of Patrick Clark, from the time he got released
through the present. Still the same kind of whininess, the
same kind of whininess. And if anyone else was getting
that read, it's like, all right, well, yeah, now I
know you know why I want to get rid of
the guy by Patrick Clark now working with Maryland Championship Wrestling,
(23:30):
which is better than nothing, perfectly good promotion, my local promotion,
but you know, not where people thought he would be
at this point in time. Chris Island. I think, you know,
there's there's plenty of places he can work, but I
think he still needs to go to wrestling school.
Speaker 3 (23:47):
He needs he needs to go on the indies and
figure out who he is. That's what I think he
needs to. He needs to, you know, not be an
environment where everything comes easy. He needs to work, find
himself and struggle a little bit. Yeah, he says he
has that that you know, thing or character or persona
(24:10):
inside of him and needs to come out. Well, maybe
you need to struggle a little bit and see how
it is on the indies to you know, make this
come out. If it's if it's something you can use
and it will make you better, go out there and
use it and learn and and but you're not You're
not gonna be able to find this when you wake
(24:32):
up and you go to the gym and you have
a fancy car and you're paid to train, and no,
you need a little something raw, something, Yeah, difficult, like
to get inside, to get in your head and get
that out.
Speaker 1 (24:48):
But if he has a mister hide in him, terrific great,
if he can harness it. If not, if it's just
something that's super dangerous. But I think he's more talk.
But what he needs more than to find mister Hyde.
He just needs to find confidence. He just needs to
believe in himself and actually authentically believe, not just say
it because he just says it, but every other part
of him says not so much.
Speaker 3 (25:09):
Yeah, the clown is crying.
Speaker 1 (25:11):
Yeah exactly, that's exactly right. Well as compared to the
next two guys who clearly believe in themselves.
Speaker 3 (25:21):
Tim McCool through London Anthony Luke. And here's the really
interesting thing. They both have two points, So Michelle's kind
of in the middle. You have someone who's a very
terrific heal and you have an absolute wonderful, lovable babyface.
So you got one of each, which is pretty awesome
(25:43):
for Team McCool. And she says like she doesn't know
who to pick because they're so different, and whatever they do,
it works. You know. Anthony says he's the best here
and it's his time and wherever he's down, he always
gets back up and he the wake. Thrill describes itself
like everything he does is it comes from him. He's
(26:05):
like a natural and you can see it, and nothing
seemed fake about him. It seems to be like, yeah,
it's sim it's sim and you get you, you go
along for the ride wherever he's taking you. And he
says like Anthony has to do all the things to
get to whatever character he is, Like, Thrill is not
a character. He is Thrill London, That's how he is,
(26:26):
and he wants to bring you on his journey, which
I thought was a great way to describe himself because
that's how I see it. I think he's been like
a fantastic baby face with so much fire when he's wrestling,
and again in this match, he's gonna show it.
Speaker 1 (26:40):
I really like both these guys. I mean, listen, I
didn't want to like Trill in the beginning, not not
personally but as a wrestler. He's little, and you know,
he came out and he had sort of like the
horror movie character looked to him. But he won me
over with his athleticism, with his attitude, and he's also
I mean it's like during this you could see Anthony
(27:01):
Luke refuses to turn it off. Now maybe that's really him,
and if that's him, but Trill is like, dude, we're
talking to the coach. Now, this is the candidate you
can you can be. You don't need to be in character.
He's like, okay, you want to be in character.
Speaker 3 (27:13):
You know stuff.
Speaker 1 (27:15):
I basically fuck it, you know, like, you know it
doesn't have to be that that that's serious, but don't
get a twist. If you want to be serious, real
meat can be serious. So I think he even said
is I think at someone and they said his real name,
like his first name, which I forgot already, but but
that's fine that said. I mean, you know, Michelle McCool said, listen,
you guys are really head to head, your your your
(27:36):
neck and neck make the decision for me. I when
Anthony Luke says I love this and it's my time,
I do believe he believes both those things, and he
does love it. He absolutely lives it all the time,
and and that's great. And that's not to say the
trill doesn't. I just think that the trill it's like
like a really great job, and he'll be really great
at Anthony, this like feels like a mission. And that
(27:59):
doesn't mean that's why you should get the job. There's
lots of people want something really bad and they're just
not that good at it. But he's good at it too.
And as much as people have been trying to compare
him to The Rock or to Maven, which is you know,
not exactly an insult, but it's you know, sort of
like dire Rock, I never really I saw they were
trying to make it, but you know, they try to
(28:20):
do the same thing with Ricky Starks, Ricky Saints. I
see it more with Anthony Luke than I see with Ricky.
Like Anthony Luke looked really big in his conversation with Trill,
with his movements, and this was a fun match, and
I know, I know you're gonna break it down, but
I thought like everything. I thought the ending was good
and they paced themselves enough that the ending didn't feel abrupt.
(28:43):
It felt like a real match, and it was the
only one that felt like how a real match should go.
Like I'm I have no problem with an abrupt ending.
If you did like a cataclysmic move, like you did something,
it's like really devastating. But they've just been like finishing
with like you know, like the like Shallow's neck breaker.
That's no Roote awakening, you know, not even a Cody Cutter.
Speaker 3 (29:07):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (29:07):
So you know, but this match, I this could have
been on TV. I really enjoyed it. Oh yeah, but
I'm just babbling on and on now. So yeah, great
break down the match for the for the good folks listening.
Speaker 3 (29:19):
So indeed, this could have been on regular TV. Like
Luke against he looks like a star, he's a natural,
he's got charisma. Yeah, he looks like the Rock, But
I think he's you know, that's his face. What do
you want to do. He's not gonna change his fucking face.
But he looks like an athlete. He has a you
know again charisma. He's natural. He's such a great heel.
(29:42):
And Tuill so much fire. He's unique. Yeah, you know
clearcut baby face that gets the crowd going, you know,
the lock up. They work like the stronger heel versus
the faster babyface. Anthony Luke is never afraid to use
know the cheat, even if the guy is smaller, it
(30:02):
doesn't matter. He's a heel. He's gonna cheat, he's gonna
pull his hair. And you know the when they went
into tackles, Trill was the one falling because of course
he's smaller, and it makes sense, like even if he's
the one running, he should be the one falling because
he's tiny compared to Luke. I love that Trill like
was using his agility like right away and everything. But
(30:25):
I like that he does you know, flippy stuff, but
not to the point where it makes no sense. Like
he's just showing that he's faster than his opponent and
makes sense. It doesn't look fake. He's just like using
his athleticism in a right way. It doesn't look corny
(30:47):
or fake to me. It just looks it looks great.
And also, let's mention it, Anthony's a great base for
all the moves Drill wants to do. I love that
Anthony was was selling, you know, every time he would
get punch in the face, he would put his hand
on his jaw, showing where it hurt. To the opposite
(31:08):
of Xena would always sell her arm for no fucking reason,
Anthony was selling where it meant something, showing not only
do people saw the move they heard him like sell
the move, the pain, but he also is showing them
where it hurts. I love that in a match. It's
like a complete way of selling. And I like that
(31:30):
he played pussy, you know, to take over, using you know,
pulling Trill into the ropes to get over and then
end up to the outside and Tryll did like a
flying was it like a whisper in the wind kind
of thing outside It looked very cool, and the crowd
was like, God, really really behind Thrill, like the little
(31:53):
guy who's fucking trying and never gives up, which is
a fucking babyface. Goddamn, ain't that simple? Or or sometimes
it's thought. One thing that was different from all the
matches we've seen before. There was an actual double down
in this match. Both guys went down at the same
time and Intanty Luke dropkick trail as he was jumping
(32:13):
from the top rope. That looked great. They then went
into a one two one two. They were selling registering
people were sort of that. They went into that ya
boo kind of you know thing, and London fired up,
went into a couple of falsees like bigger moves but
no Pens went for the swan tombomb want to foot
(32:36):
on the rope. That was the great thing to do.
You do not kick out of someone's finish a fucking
thousand time, but you can put the legs. It looks
great and it doesn't kill the finish because you did
not kick out. You were just close to the race.
You were smart. That looked great, and then you know,
(32:57):
Trill takes Sauce's shirt. It was like, oh yeah, more fire, more,
the crowd into it, goes for a second swanton, but whoops,
you know, Anthony Luke stops him. You know, superplex lights,
camera action one two three. So you know, I love
this match. I thought of some you know spots here
(33:18):
and there. Anthony was less than usual because usually he
he talks the hallway, He complains to the reverie, he
talks to the people that was missing a little bit
on this one. A little bit too wrestling focus, not
enough character. But I'm nitpicking right now, Like I mean,
the match was great, clear cut baby face and heel.
(33:39):
He'll he'll would use like cheating, pulling the tights, pulling
the hair, like even if he's bigger, he doesn't. He's
not like, oh I'm not gonna use this. I'm so
much bigger than him, it doesn't matter. You're heal fucking
cheat and he does, and it's great. Man, both guys
look great in this match. If you know, picking one
(34:00):
was really hard, like I was. I remember I wrote
down Thrill and then I wrote down Luke, and I'm like, ah,
and I'm like, you know what, if if Luke wasn't
such a great heel and a great base to get
all the moves in the right way, Trill wouldn't look
as good. And I still feel that because he's a
(34:21):
little bit greener. My vote went to Luke and to Luke,
but man, I feel Trill as such a great future.
Oh he's gonna be money.
Speaker 1 (34:32):
Yeah, I didn't mind that. Anthony Luke wasn't doing as
much talking because I felt that even as the heel,
he did enough cheating. It was more like he's the
big guy. He's surprised at the other guy is keeping
up with him, and he's got nothing to say about
but I could. I could see him feel the frustration
without it, which sometimes that's just as important as far
(34:54):
as I know. I also loved the Trill took the
time to take off a second shirt to do the
full Jeath party thing, and that might have cost him
the match. It was that extra second second and a
half that it took him to do that, and so
maybe it's a live and learn kind of thing the
rookie on the body of work, and including this match,
(35:15):
I do think that Anthony Luke is probably the most
finished product this season. I think the Trill is so natural.
I think that the Hart and Lewis is natural another way,
though I think Trill is more skilled. I mean, they're
obviously completely different types of wrestlers, though I mean, I
(35:35):
remember power and glory, so I wouldn't mind something like
that out of there. But I'm the aid did want
to bronze Strowman and Ricochet to be a tag team,
So what do I.
Speaker 3 (35:44):
Know, poor kid or brought Siman and a kid.
Speaker 1 (35:47):
No, not Team Nicholas. Definitely not Team Nicholas. But yeah,
I listen. I think Michelle made the right choice by
picking Anthony. And that's nothing against Trill. I just think
Anthony has has been better the whole season, and Trill
for a guy that's been doing as short as he has,
I mean, yeah, the sky's the limit. They already had
him on Evolve. Harlem Lewis right now was in Noah
(36:09):
with Charlie Dempsey, who you know basically you know, I
don't know if William William Regal's wife is tiny, but
both of neither of his kids turned out like him.
But but you know, at least Charlie is, you know,
already basically a player coach, so they they always send
him to Japan with whatever prospects they're they're sending. So
they clearly trust him, which which is great. So they
(36:31):
obviously believe in both of these guys, and I think
that's cool. I'm I'm into it. I you know, I know,
nobody likes Ridge Holland, but I like Ridge Holland the
way he's been acting in Evolve and attacking TNA like
him and Harlem Lewis. They're both like five eleven two
point fifty and mean, I think that they would be.
(36:53):
You know that neither one is as big as the road, whereas.
Speaker 3 (36:55):
The New the New Radicals.
Speaker 1 (36:57):
Yeah, you know this is something more the more Perry
Saturn than the other side. But anyway, enough of me
and my fantasy booking. I agree with everything that happening here.
And then came what might have been our only plot twist,
which I will just say in the beginning. It started good,
and then I got hookey, cringey, it got very Vince mcmanny.
Speaker 3 (37:21):
Yes, that's that's the perfect way to describe. Oh my god,
our friend BJ Ray representing Team Bubba because you know, Elijah,
Hollie Phil is dealing with a torn tricep, got surgery everything.
So BJ gets a bye apparently apparently, so apparently, so
(37:46):
BJ goes like it's me and you coach blah blah
blah blah blah blah blah. Bubba says like, I had
eye hopes for you, but you just reminded me why
nobody can stand you now. Then we go to the ring.
Elijah's in the ring, BJ comes in, you know, with
his shirt with Bubba cross on it and in a
(38:09):
fucking bad and you know hand paint job or whatever.
He tried to do the NWF style, but anyway, like
a kid would do, right.
Speaker 1 (38:20):
It was clever. It was clever to cross Bubba's name out,
but he did it in the laziest way possible and.
Speaker 3 (38:25):
Wrote like bj underneath it looked like anyway, and then
oh it's so bad it's good? Yeah no, not really.
So he had a cocky entrance. I was like, is
he hall easy feel you know faced? No, he's just
a dick pretty much. He went on, you know, doing
(38:46):
a heel promo, which which was the promo was good.
I like that. He went like, hey can you lift
your hands? Oh no, oh you can't. That was kind
of shitty, I mean in a good way. And you know,
Bubba's like, you know what, No, you're having a match tonight.
You're not getting it. Bye. And then comes the siparte.
Speaker 1 (39:07):
And apparently since he was cut, there's now a free
agency rule and Bubba apparently claimed Drake Moreau for Team Bubba.
Drake agreed to give Bubba a second chance, because Bubba
is giving him a second chance, and Drake Morreau comes
in and basically rolls up EJ from behind for the
quick one two three, And if you hadn't figured out
(39:29):
that there was campy already, you know it was. It
was completely campy. And then so they sort of ruined
it already with that because like the order was wrong,
because the next part was good, but it was already ruined.
So Bja is berating all of the coaches and he
told Bubby. He goes, I told you, if you ever
(39:51):
put your hands on me again, I would absolutely end you.
And Bubba's like, he's getting up and I think that
this was real. Booker's like, don't do it, Bubba, It's
not worth it, and Undertaker grabs him says Bubba, don't
and Bubba goes with all due respect and I guess
they're like, you're gonna.
Speaker 3 (40:07):
Do Yeah, that was pretty nice, Like, well, big Vet
right here with all due respects. So I just want
to mention something before we get to the other part.
When he gets beat by Drake Lorrowe, you see bj
Ray cut some sort of problem. He's like, so you're
gonna come here and beat me fair and square. I'm like, yeah,
that's pretty much what he did. What the fucker?
Speaker 1 (40:26):
Yeah, he said, I just did.
Speaker 5 (40:27):
But the order is wrong because a roll up for one, two, three,
you know, like, yeah, something that was so wrestling et
to something that actually felt real.
Speaker 1 (40:40):
And I don't know if they knew how well that
this was gonna come off, because they I really thought
that Bubba and him were gonna, we're gonna, you know,
trying to throw down or something.
Speaker 3 (40:49):
And then and I was hoping for it. Do you
remember I mentioned it in one of the episodes. I'm like,
he has the one to fight, Like, Bubba's gonna get
in the fucking ring because Bubba, I mean, he's not
Russ anymore, but you will do like appearances here and
Dan we saw him like doing spots for NXD, like
he still can go when he wants to. So I
was like, hey, TNA coming soon, so yeah why not? Yeah?
Speaker 1 (41:14):
No, I mean absolutely, And so again the order. So
then then Bubba comes into the ring and he basically
calls to Drake and he and he yells for Zena,
which at first I didn't realize he said Zena. I
thought he said Sina. And I'm like John Cena's on
this show. Uh, And you know, then basically they're just
beating up bj Ray. They give him the Ballbuster. I
(41:37):
forget what what that was like. No, I have up
because you've done it.
Speaker 3 (41:46):
Uh no, don't. The Dudleys gave it to me. Oh
I wrestled in this six man tag. It was me
Tony DeVito and just incredible versus the three Dudley's, and
I was the victim of the wuzz up. So yes,
I had the one's head.
Speaker 1 (42:07):
They gave it to you that you were on the
receiving and they didn't give me.
Speaker 3 (42:11):
There's pictures I I could try to find them and
post them, and after they put me through a table,
it was a wall uder full time.
Speaker 1 (42:19):
You could sell those pictures and then come on that
that don't get you a new computer?
Speaker 3 (42:25):
Oh yeah, I need a computer. Anybody wants to get
rid of a computer. I need one because this show
almost didn't happen.
Speaker 2 (42:32):
So anyway to give her your old one, you can buy.
She doesn't want to see what you're your search history is,
whoever you are.
Speaker 1 (42:42):
I'm sure.
Speaker 3 (42:45):
I also want Demonino, just a reminder, so you know.
Bubba gets the Dudley glasses, gives one to Zena, gives
one a Drake and then he goes one, two, three
points out, everybody get the table. So well they Zeno
and Drake double choke slam our friend BJ in the
table and Drake goes like, I'm back baby, So he's
(43:09):
officially on team Bubba. And that's how it hands. So
I was like, I wish Bubbauld just put a fucking
punch a living shit out of him. I mean, I
get it. It was fun for people in attendance, you know,
little wake wink to the past and to the Dudley's
and it was like, uh, but it would have been
(43:30):
better to see Bubba beat the shit out of him. Yes,
I would pay good money for it.
Speaker 1 (43:36):
And also they need to make it make sense. I
mean we did we I mean, like so BJ lost
because of that. I mean obviously somebody said to him,
you're not advancing, like that conversation should have been shown
afterwards like that. They should have just saved time for
that conversation to be shown to see, you know, because
this whole thing with Drake was so canned, and listen,
(43:57):
I believe that Drake deserves it more than be J. Right, However,
this was bizarre, and why didn't they find someone on
team Bubba like five weeks ago to compete with mej
and I don't know, like make it make sense, Like,
you know, it wasn't even that clear that you could
pick up a free agent and put them on your team.
But this, I know they make up the rules as
(44:18):
they go along. I know it's restling. I know it's
not that boarded.
Speaker 3 (44:21):
Well it might it might have been Bubba when he
saw Drake's performance and said, like, you know what, he
was better than Shiloh. He shouldn't be eliminated, you know what. Hey, whoever?
LLG bosses are like, you know what, I don't have
a second player. I think this guy, you know, is good,
Like if he wants to join my team again, I'd
like to have him because I'm you know, I'm one
(44:43):
guy short, Like I should have someone else. Not my fault.
Somebody got injured. It happens, Okay, I see, I see
this happening, And LFG boss goes like, yeah, it makes sense,
like you should have somebody, you should have a replacement,
and if you think this guy can make it okay?
And again, I I've only said good things about Drake
in the past three or four episodes because I feel
(45:05):
he's been getting so much better and better and comfortable
with his character. So I'm actually happy that he's not
gone because again, to me today, he was better than Shiloh.
So good thing for Drake Moreau and that's probably what happened, well,
storyline or whatever. Anyway, it would make sense that Bubba
goes like, hey, I'm short a guy. I'd like this one. Okay,
(45:26):
it makes sense. You know, you're sort of guy, and.
Speaker 1 (45:32):
He's been shorter guy a long time.
Speaker 3 (45:33):
I mean, yeah, it's been a few episodes.
Speaker 1 (45:35):
All I'm saying is that this whole none of this
made sense, and you know it sort of is a
new entry into the rules that I didn't know was
even the plot twist. And listen, I don't feel bad
for Mejay, because I'm sure they told him, you know whatever,
that he's still under contract, no problem, all this other
good stuff, whatever it is. Listen, he is much more
(45:56):
interesting to listen to and to want to punch than
Grayson Waller is Grayson Waller I just want to punch once,
but want him to like go into like the moment.
Speaker 3 (46:03):
Yeah no, I don't want to watch him. But DJ
has a shitty, fucking annoying manager. I see him, I
see him out.
Speaker 1 (46:09):
Of the wrest being punched over and over and over again
and never getting tired of it, you know.
Speaker 3 (46:14):
So take that apron bump like Bobby and just right.
Speaker 1 (46:20):
Absolutely, and every now and then he surprises you or whatever,
if they're going to go with the manager route. And
I did point I say that, like some weeks ago,
I saw more recent pictures of bj Ray. He posted
them and he actually had cut weade and was defined
and all the things that we hadn't seen. So obviously
someone you know, told them. You know, you know, from
from the neck up, you do everything right, but from
(46:43):
from the neck down you're not. Clearly you could because
you were a d one wrestler. Anyway, I just thought
the whole I just thought it was weird. They didn't
even explain it that well in real time, you know,
through the narration or commentary that well, and since it
was so obviously ginned up, I think they could have
told us that. Anyway, I'm talking a lot about something.
(47:04):
It's not particularly important, unless, of course, you're bej Ray
or Jake Drake Morrow, and then it's very important to you.
And I'm not mad about Drake Morrow being in the
final four by any means. I just I just think
that if you have a game with rules, and the
whole time we're saying it's the way it's structured, I
have to let one of you go, and then all
of a sudden you change things at the I mean
(47:25):
within the last five minutes.
Speaker 3 (47:28):
Yeah, do you feel if it should be like football?
You know, you got your key players, but there's always
backups that are always like sitting ready to jump in.
If there's anything like there, there could be a bunch
of guys and girls like on the side just if
something happens, like you guys will be the replacement, you know,
if somebody gets injured, someone gets a.
Speaker 1 (47:50):
Two guys to two men, two women, you know as
the four, and you're the first alternant, you're the second
Alternate's something that I have no issue with that. Just
like they picked Cutler James, you know, but it was
less structured, but you know they put him in right
after BJ got hurt. Okay, anyway, I again going on
and on and on about this. I just I just
(48:12):
I didn't quite enjoy the end. I feel like I
would have enjoyed the whole thing more if they had
the interaction between Bubba and BJ and the ring before
Drake Moreau came out. Man, we could have had fun
with him. It's like, Okay, they got me because they
would have got me, but they didn't get me because
I already saw Drake do a roll up from behind
and nobody actually stays pinned on a roller from behind
(48:32):
unless you're cooperating.
Speaker 3 (48:35):
Yeah. Ah, So there's that for the men. So next
week there was eight, as they mentioned, So from the
little cliffs we saw, it's gonna be Danny versus Serena,
p Nasty versus Zena, Drake versus Arlen, which is one
that you know should be good, and even Luke versus Shiloh.
(48:55):
So these are like pretty much like I'm saying this
would but to me they have they all have the
potential to be like very good matches. But we'll see.
Like there's from what we saw, there seemed to be
a lot of trash talking and fucking gimmick talking, and
it's like, all right, is this a fucking reality show
or everything is fucking scripted? Like I don't like the
(49:17):
in between a little bit, Like Trill London was saying, like,
once you're sitting down with the coaches something once we
go out there for a matches something else, Yes, please
because whatever. Anyway, I won't judge right now. I'll wait
to next week for episode fourteen to see what's up
and maybe I'll complain then.
Speaker 1 (49:36):
Yeah. Absolutely. Anyway, the show ANDed, so we have our
ever finals. We know who's advancing. We have four guys,
four girls or four yeah, four guys, four girls, four men,
four women, and you know they show highlights of coming weeks.
But yeah, you know it should be interesting. Yeah. One, Look,
(49:57):
they haven't done this year. They haven't had much in
the way of Yes, like last year they had see
Him Punk and Charlotte and a whole bunch of people
came in aj styles. This year, I don't there's been
much of that. I mean we had the you know,
the little fault storyline with Roxanne and Maxine, but that's
not the same.
Speaker 3 (50:16):
No, it's it's not someone with experience giving them tips
on how to get better and you know, explaining the
why or when or how. So yeah, I mean that
would have been great to have like someone with experience
come in or I don't know, like if they had
Danny work the lucha style, why not bring River stereo.
(50:37):
I just an idea. Yeah, so it is what it is.
We'll see if there's a season three.
Speaker 1 (50:45):
But I feel like Junior Senior doctor the third.
Speaker 3 (50:49):
Uh D, mister iguana, if we have to Hella Yesca.
Speaker 1 (51:00):
With how to throw your puppet like a dart. I
mean the most impressive in the Missilo blade. That is
he threw that thing at at Dimonito. I mean that
was that was dead on bullseye.
Speaker 3 (51:10):
That was great cash by Dominito.
Speaker 1 (51:13):
Well knocked him out. I mean so I wasn't a cat.
Great sholling by Dimonito.
Speaker 3 (51:18):
Yes, anyway, so I guess that's just for us. My
nime is Lyfisto. You can find me on x at
Lofisto face with dot com Fisto Lipisto at arts and

Underscore Evil. You can find me on this show with LuFisto.
You can also find me on the Wrestling Soup and
Friends feed for the Evolve show Dose of Chocolate, which

We missed a few weeks, but that was anyway, it
doesn't matter. The body Slam briefs I believe are being
(52:28):
shifted over to the Wrestling Soup and friendos feed as well.
And I know that the Dr White Chocolate, the Domral's
White Chocolate Show. They've been putting that up and some
other odds and ends, and who knows, maybe at some
point that'll be popular with a whole bunch of shows
that might be fun for you to finally subscribe to.
As far as anything else, I have three shows, but
they're all under one title called Garden of Thought, so
(52:51):
just subscribe to that, and they're sort of like three
different versions. But actually we're working on a limited series
where we are reviewing the show Dark, which was a
Netflix sensation, and we recorded. We're doing one episode per season,
that's the goal. Anyway, we did, so we did season
one tonight. We're recording season two and then we'll do
your season three. Who are we? Two people I went
(53:12):
to high school with, so so you know, I guess,
I say I don't have any friends. I guess some
sort of line. I don't know. One was actually a
musician from a band called pre War Yards South, so
you can check out their music. Her husband's also in
the band and also went to high school. He used
to let us into the Rara of Movies because he
worked at the movie there before we were seventeen, so
that was great. Anyway, where else can you find me?
(53:35):
That's a just subscribe to the show. Check it out.
I've got a new garden The Gospel of Thomas coming
out where we talked to Doug the epic Molo for
those who don't know, that's the guy who got Roger
Jackson off of Psycho Stu and was the only one
who did anything. So we laugh. Yeah, and then Roger
got arrested the Thursday night or Friday and We spoke
(53:57):
to Doug Monday night, but yeah, we talked a little
bit about that, but mostly we talked about food and
him and Thomas are gonna have a food eating contest
and you know, and how and how Alistair Black stole
of all this stuff. He's like, I'm older than Alison Black.
He's like, fuck, no, he's older than me. He's like,
I have a moy Toy background Alistair Black does. He's
like shit, he doesn't have a Moytoy background. He's like, yeah, well,
I'm married to a Dominican Ecuadoria. He's like shit, he's
(54:19):
married to a Puerto Rican woman. Damn it. He is
better than the He was like the George Kustans and
Ted Danson from Seinfeld. So anyway, here I go babbling on.
Just listen to the shows. I published something today very
interesting with a Gialla geophysicist actually who We talked about
(54:39):
the different grades of oil and why drill belgbe drill
is not a solution. We also talked about what is
a continent? There actually is a definition, and we also
talked about Jeff on Jeff violence and some other things
are of extreme importance. Yes, he's also a Jeff doctor
Jeffrey Zurich. So yeah, I don't know.
Speaker 3 (55:00):

of George Cassanzo, serenity. Now we'll see you next week.
Speaker 1 (55:07):
